Living by principle means making decisions based on moral rules from the Word of God, guiding our conduct and protecting us from sin and its consequences. In contrast, living by preference is based on likes, dislikes, and desires, leading to an unstable and potentially sinful life. Principles are fixed and predetermined modes of conduct, while preferences are subjective and can change. By living by principle, we can find peace, joy, and happiness, and experience the sovereignty of God in our lives.
