Satan's nightmare, Nakia Cola. This is a war. This is one war that needs to be settled. What a brawl! What a fight!
And it's out of control here. That's a bad man. No, that's a bad man. No. Any time, any place, night, day—I don't care.
I'm only a phone call away, my friend. Welcome to another episode of Q&A with Koloff, the Devil's Nightmare. Welcome back, Q&A with Koloff—questions and answers—and this is where you may get a personal phone call from the Russian Nightmare, or sometimes I'm privileged to have. Folks in the studio with me, which is just an added blessing. But with me today, all the way from Douglasville, Georgia, the Peach State of Georgia.
Excuse me, the Peach State of Georgia, Miss Erin Hitch, Misses Erin Hitch. How are you today, Erin? I'm doing good.
Well, good to have you with us. And of course, I'm no stranger to you, you and your family. I had, I got the privilege of meeting your wonderful husband, Matthew, about roughly about five years ago at one of our men's conferences. And then since that time, he came to man camp. And since that time, he's he has come back and staffed every.
Single camp since then. Yes, he has.
Well, hey, let me ask you. And I'm always curious, and you got you got you got to be honest here, Aaron.
Okay, because uh, all right, you got to be honest. You can't exaggerate the story, but but I am curious from the time he came back from camp because you know I sense Matthew was a good guy prior to camp, but were there any noticeable differences or Changes that you maybe saw, whether when he first came, or even over the course of the last four years since he came to camp. Ah, yes, there's there definitely was a big change. I mean, I knew I married a wonderful man of God when we got married, and when he came back from camp, it was almost still. It was almost like he was completely different.
You know, with us coming up with completely opposite backgrounds in how we were raised, I was always every time something happened, first thing I did was pray. But I didn't see him do it the way I did it, and I always thought it was a negative thing. And when he came back, even though it still was different from how I did it, you could see that he did it. Like you could see it across his face. You could see that he was praying more.
That he was like you could tell he was connected with other people, and we. The God decision would come out, and not the flesh decision. If that makes sense, it it does. I'm reminded of the expression: "There's there's good decisions, and there's God decisions." Right? And yes, of course, we want we want the God decisions, and and again, and I and I know some of the story because of you know becoming you know friends of the family and.
Getting you guys and your lovely daughter Charlotte, and you know, and and you know, life is a journey. Marriage is a journey, right? Marriage can be a struggle. I don't know anyone that's never not struggled in marriage. But when you got the tools, which you know we give these guys at camp, the tools to be able to go home and and to to to learn how to you know pray not just for the family but with the family, or how to serve the family.
Those sorts. Things right, and so it's great that that you've seen a, you know, what I would say, a noticeable difference, and that you've been so supportive, Aaron. What what is? Let me ask you this: What has prompted you?
So he comes back, you know, a couple times a year to serve on staff.
Now, were you at peace with that? With it, with him, you know, volunteering his time and going back, and you know, time away from the family. Yeah, I had it.
Sometimes it is irritating when he leaves because it's like I don't want you to leave. You're gonna be gone for a week. I won't have anything to do for a week. Sure, it does get irritating sometimes, but I know this is what he's supposed to be doing. Yeah, and I have peace with that, and.
Like the calling on his life, whatever the end result is, this is the stepping stone that's going to get him there. And yeah, I can't fight that.
Well, and at the at the end of the day, you know, he's inspired and encouraged at camp, and you know, even as he comes to serve, and and and even the guys who come to serve on staff, you know, I know they go home again, just you know, better equipped to be that godly man, godly husband, godly father, right? And so, yeah, it's it's wonderful that you're supportive of that, and so well, let me ask you too, because I know in in in talking with him, and of course with with your the two of you are on a A new health journey. We learned from him the passing of his dad six months or so ago, and and it's kind of prompted you guys to go on a new health journey. You've had some pretty amazing results with with weight loss. Of course, you now are you a type one or type two diabetic?
Type one. Type one. Insulin dependent, and I have a pump. Gotcha, and of course, so so eating becomes very critical, right, for you, and and monitoring the the sugar spikes and all that sort of thing, right? Yeah, it was a very big culture shock for me.
I don't think culture shock is really the right word to use, but before we had Charlotte, I have been hypoglycemic my entire life. Which is very low blood sugar. I just you just function on a very low blood sugar, but we got pregnant with Charlotte. I had gestationals the last trimester, and then the day weirdest thing, the day she turned eight months, it was like the the switch got flipped, and they did all of these testings, and then I was diagnosed type one. Hmm.
And so it was a very big, big change. Yeah, I could eat anything and everything I wanted, and I could not gain weight to save my life. Yeah. And so now it's it's the exact opposite. Yeah, a much different approach.
Well, and so you know, like like Matthew, of course, you know, we recently introduced you to. To a company and some products that have made a a monte I'll say monumental, yeah, monumental difference in in a change for you guys. Correct me if I'm wrong. Am I wrong in saying that to date, and not necessarily all from just the products themselves, but a forty pound weight loss currently is that on the journey you're on? Is that right?
Yes, from when I decided that I was going to lose weight—not just to lose weight, but to be healthier—from that decision to now, it is forty pounds. And and I know you know one one of the products in particular is is one that transforms the foods we eat from sugars. In into fiber, and I know you can monitor, and you have monitored that in real time.
So you've seen real time results with the effects of the products, correct? Yes. Usually, I'm very consistent with like what I eat for lunch and dinner because I don't have to do the math. I already know how much insulin I have to put into the machine to give it to me, so I don't have to do anything.
So I'm usually very consistent on that. In with the lower carb ratio items, when I've taken that particular the. Transform that.
Sometimes I don't even have to take insulin for what I eat. Oh wow! Because and and because I've seen others, I've seen like in real time, they've shown me on their phone on their app like the the the sugar, the monitoring levels and the difference between when they haven't had Transform and the spikes, and then the difference at how it levels it out with the Transform. Yeah, and. Yeah.
So, like, if you say like my favorite drink is Dr Pepper, and because I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners, I can't drink the diet. Really bad. I my favorite thing is Dr Pepper, and you've got your certain ounces to your certain amount of carb ratio. But if I have eight ounces and I take a transform with it, I won't have to take insulin because it it will not get over two hundred. Like it was, it won't go over the red line on the top.
That's it's pretty amazing. I know it's it's pretty cutting edge. When I did my homework and my research, I was certainly impressed with what I saw from from the science behind behind many of these products. Pretty pretty amazing results. And and you know you're one of of course a number of stories now people that I've I've introduced this this too.
Now are you doing out of quick question out of curiosity? And we'll get to your questions here in in just just a minute or two. I know the women are are loving the collagen because in today's world it it it helps with their skin, their their hair, thickens their hair, helps with their nails. But man, I saw a transformation of one one friend's wife, Dana Turner, who is what they call collagen loading. Man, she looks ten years younger, and I'm not exaggerating that.
We just had dinner with her a month ago, and she. Looks ten years younger, and then Bill, her husband, had neck surgery, and and he's already got bone growth coming back. for Have have you had any results with it? Are you are you taking the collagen? Yes, I am.
But I didn't even know that the collagen had your hair come back in, which is great because after having COVID. Most of my hair fell out. Oh wow! And it—it I have very thin hair to begin with.
So, and I got very self-conscious because I have scars on my head that are very noticeable when there's no hair. And as these particular scars happened when I was a child, okay, it was one of my the first concussion I had. And you know, other kids can be mean, and they made fun of me a lot for it. And even as an adult, surprisingly, other adults will still do it. And I just refused to go places because it was so thin that you could see my head.
Right. And I was so thankful. It was a few months before. Any of the supplements came in, but we went to the hairdresser, and she told me that my other hair had started. The rest of my hair had started coming back in, and it's officially the same length as the hair that I had.
And I was like, "Yeah, holy! I've got hair back!" And then when I started taking the collagen specifically for my knees. But I've noticed that I've had to get bigger ponytail holders because it doesn't keep my hair up. Wow!
So it's getting—it literally is getting thicker and and growing in there. And you know, you mentioned some. I just—I got to take a minute to talk about this. I'm just trying to visualize this. You—you had you mentioned your knee.
I've never—I don't know—I've ever heard of floating kneecap. Right, yes, but that's what you suffered with a floating kneecap. Take take just a minute and tell our listeners how the collagen changed that whole dynamic with your floating kneecap.
Okay, so I have actually dislocated both of my knees twice. And between that, and then getting diagnosed, I don't even as a child, but not having the fluid that is supposed to be in your joints to help them move. Apparently, I never had it. Um.
So you've got bone rubbing on bone, and then dislocating my knee. Apparently tore the ligament. That hold your kneecap in place, and so, and both of my knees were like that. I do have one that's worse than the other, but both of them were floating, and I could wake up in the morning, and my kneecap could be behind my knee. Which is just—I'm trying to even picture that.
But so what?
So yeah, I—I've actually had Matt throw up on me trying to watch me fix it. Yeah, I—I yeah, I'm trying not—I'm trying not to get the visual of that error. But so so, give us the results.
So let's fast forward to the results. What has the collagen? How has the collagen helped your floating kneecap?
Well, so far, it I may don't have any pain in my knee. I can get they're sore when I overuse them, but we just had a bunch of storms come in that where the weather was really bad, and I'd have to wear braces on both of my knees just to keep them in place because they hurt so bad. I didn't have to do that.
So it's you're seeing some noticeable improvement there as well with yeah and people and yeah people and they stay in place and they stay in place which is which is pretty amazing so yeah when it comes to aches and pains arthritis you know those sorts of things it's pretty amazing the the benefit of of collagen and the peptides that are in there so well yeah. I appreciate appreciate the journey you're on. I really do, and it encourages me to know that as I'm introducing folks to to to some of these products, that they're seeing the kind of results that that you and your husband Matt are seeing. And if for those out there and listening, land if you're wondering how to get more information on that, very simple. Just go to Koloff dot info, K O L O F F dot info, and you can connect with me.

So, all right, Aaron let's let's flip the script here and give you the opportunity to ask me a a couple questions.
So, what what do you want to fire at me first? Ah, I've been thinking about this for three days. I still can't think of anything. You're the first. You're the first to never have a wrestling.
Jesus, pick something. Um.
Well, I guess I'll have to go with what I'm struggling with right now.
Okay. Good. I haven't exactly had. The best path. I had a very rough childhood, and there's been a lot of things that I've had to forgive people for, and then forgive myself for.
But how? I guess the thing is, how is like you get you the way that you can change your mindset? Is when you grow when you grow up in all this negativity, you have you tend To go worst case scenario, basically, if something bad happens, like if me and Matt have a no, not an argument. If we just disagree on something, okay, in my head, it's automatically, oh, he's disappointed in me. I didn't agree with him.
Something's going to happen. We're going to have an argument, and it's not even remotely close to that. We just don't agree on something.
Okay. I'm like, how do you get your mindset to stop doing that?
Well, I want to tell you what what first comes to mind. It's a great question because you're you're not the only one out there dealing with with negative thoughts and and and or a negative mindset.
However, I would say, with all my years of experience in working with other people, it's it's a decision, a choice, right? Like when you know, there's a scripture comes to mind. This is the. The Lord has has made it. Says, "I will rejoice in and be glad in it." Well, I sometimes say, "I choose." To rejoice and be glad in it, right?
Life is filled with choices, so you know we can. I'll just use an expression: we can decide to be a negative Nancy and look at things from a negative perspective. I just happen to be the guy that I call myself the eternal optimist. In other words, bring me a black cloud; I'll find a silver lining in there somewhere, right? I'm just gonna find something positive about.
Quick story. I was asked to speak at a funeral years ago. It was a gang-related shooting. It was an NBA player whose daughter was was gunned down in a gang-related shooting. And the pastor asked me if I, you know, do the do the funeral with him.
And and I didn't really. I I was I knew who the NBA player was. I did not know his daughter. I'm like, Lord, what what do you want me to say? As it's a very tragic situation, right?
A very negative situation. And and so, Lord said, talk about turning tragedy into triumph. I'm like. Oh, okay. I I can do that because I'm a positive guy anyway, right?
So, and so that's what I did when I had the opportunity to share, you know, speak and and I said it's a very tragic thing that that all of you have experienced, and how I how I turned it is I said, but here's how we can turn this tragedy and the loss of life into a triumph if just one of you in this audience today, if just one of you, and maybe more than one, would surrender your life. To Christ, give your heart to Jesus. Then her loss would turn that tragedy into a triumph, because her loss is then heaven's gain. Right, and so that's what I delivered. That said, Aaron, I'm going to go a little little deeper dive here on this.
Okay, we're just we're just we'll just address this one question because it's really a great question. It warrants spending some time on it, not just not just blowing through it. And, um, in fact, I just had this conversation with with someone the other day at breakfast about. About healing, he says, "I have a lot of hurts, right?" Because look, none of us are getting out of this life without trauma, without tragedy. Right without tribulation, you know.
Jesus said that in this life you're going to have trouble. Hello, it's what he said.
So none of us are going to escape. Right now, some it's more tragic than others.
Some the trauma is deeper than than others. Right, but once you identify the trauma, the trouble, the struggles in this particular case, he goes. I have a lot of, lot of hurts. You know, people have hurt me a lot over the years. You know, got some anger I deal with towards certain people.
You know, and and what I encouraged him to do, and anyone out there listening right now, in fact, tomorrow I've I've got a friend going tomorrow to to a healing ministry, ministries that that that focus on and and and they they specialize. That's the word I'm looking for on helping people overcome their trauma. Overcome the tragedies that they've experienced in life, and receive healing from that.
Okay, and and and unfortunately, t here is a lot of people that just will just live with the trauma, live with the tragedy, and and and think the most negative thing. As you explained in a situation, you know, you automatic automatically go to, oh, he's disappointed in me. Oh, he's right, yeah. All that to say, it starts with because you said mindset.
So it starts with making a decision, a choice, right? To say you know what, I am not going to continue to go down that negative path. I am not going to continue to think the worst. I'm going to make a choice, a decision, and turn this around. I may not be pleased with the situation, but let me somehow, especially if the Lord's involved in it.
Hello, I mean, if somebody's a Christ follower, man, you got the Holy Spirit. You got Jesus to step in and help you navigate that negative situation and whatever it is. Right, and so all that to say.
So two things. I'll kind of conclude with with two things. I don't want to give you too long winded an answer, but two things. One, start with. This is the day the Lord has made.
I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. I may not be happy about this this disagreement Matt and I just had, but I am going to choose not to approach it with a negative mindset. Lord, help me look at something positive in this disagreement or this argument, or how can it have a positive outcome?
So. Begin. You got to begin to condition your your mindset, Aaron. Condition yourself to to focus intentionally. Be intentional and consciously.
Consciously look for the positive, and not not always the negative. And then a deeper dive is whether you or somebody out there listening today, maybe you can relate to to Aaron's question, and you struggle with a lot of negativity, or you struggle with past trauma or tragedy. And I just want to encourage you: seek out a bona fide ministry. That deals with with with healing, a healing ministry. I've had friends that have gone, got one going tomorrow.
In fact, some things that were revealed in the last session were some deep hurts and wounds from childhood when they were four, five years old. And then again, when they were ten, twelve years old, and through that ministry, they were able to receive healing to their heart. And oh, by the way, if you're a man out there or a woman out there who has a special man in your life, I can assure you this: if you send that man to man camp, I can't guarantee success. I am not going to do that. But what I can guarantee you is that man is going to be in a setting.
That if he's dealing with some of this that that Aaron and I are discussing right now, he's going to be in a setting where if he chooses to, he can get his heart healed. He can get his heart healed and go home with a healed heart and be a better husband, a better father, a better man to everyone that he's around.
So. There you go, Aaron. How's that? Is that helpful? I hope.
Yes, it is. All right.
Well, Mrs. Aaron Hitch, you did phenomenal today. I know you were a tad nervous about coming on the show, but thank you for for sharing some of your journey and some of your story. I just love love love the Hitch family. You and and Charlotte and Matt.
