Hi, it's Delilah. I want you to know about a nine-year-old girl who often goes to bed hungry after only one meal a day. Today, you can help children through World Help, a Christian humanitarian organization. Thirty dollars will feed one starving child for an entire year. Give monthly and help save a life every month.
Call eight three three three Hunger or visit WorldHelp dot net. Slash Radio. From Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun-toting, Bible-clinging, deplorable American. That's us. That's right.
I love this American ride. Todd starts. Blue mist, fire, agony on the road. You Republican bastards! My wife was so unhappy she started to pack, but I figured I could get us back on the right track, so I give her a weekly allowance.
But you fellers know how that is, so she spent it before I had a chance to borrow it back. All right, welcome everybody. This is the Whoa Todd Stern's radio show. Great to have you with us today. Welcome to the age of deep dark depression and excessive misery, folks.
We're gonna we're gonna get through this together. And wow, what what what an election last night! What can I what can I tell you? I I had hope going into the the going into the final stretch right before the polls closed. I had hope that the Republicans were going to pull this thing out, but unfortunately, it got stuck in the wazoo, and well, the rest is history.
We're gonna we're gonna have a great show today. And we're going to talk about a lot of stuff. We're going to take your calls. Very curious to hear your take on what happened in your state. There are a lot of different angles and approaches that we can explore today.
We have some great guests as well. We brought back Harry Hurley and Jeff Kent, Steve Gill, Liz Peak is going to be here, also Michael Wilson from Patriot Talk 920, and we're going to be talking to Congressman Elect. Charlie Hatcher, a little bit later on.
So, but I really want to hear from you. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. And Dylan, I I think it's important for the the listening audience to know we're going to be drinking heavily during today's program. Sweetie, oh.
Yeah, no, that's crispy. Yeah, we're going with the Dr. Pepper. Oh, it's that kind of day. Yeah, it's a, it's a, it's a for Dr.
Pepper day. Yeah, here on the Todd Stearns radio show. It's it's going to be one of those days.
So look, we were up into the wee wee hours of the morning and covering the election, and folks, it just was not pretty. And I'm not surprised. And I told you, I promised you that one way or the other, we were going to have a very frank conversation about what happened on election night, and we're going to have we're going to have that conversation. But I've got to start out with. With something the vice president just shared on social media, and I'm going to tell you right away, and just so you know where I'm coming from, the Republicans are solely responsible for what happened yesterday.
The Republican Party betrayed the voters, and there was, you know, what to pay. That's that's what happened yesterday. But the White House too, they bear responsibility as well, including President Trump.
Now, the Vice President of these great United States just mere moments ago posted something on X, and I want to read this to you, and it really infuriated me. Because these people don't get it, they don't understand that the American people are fed up. They don't understand that the American people, when we went to the ballot box in 2024, it was to elect Donald J. Trump and his agenda. It just so happened that we had to elect a Republican Congress to get that agenda through.
And so, what did we do? We we elected these people, and they turn around and they stab us in the back. And I am talking about Majority Leader John Thune in the U.S. Senate, slow marching the president's agenda, sabotaging the president's agenda. The establishment Republicans that are out there trying to sabotage and destroy the Trump agenda from day one.
No doubt about it, and it angers me that this has been allowed to go on. It angers me that President Trump did not demand regime change in the in the U.S. Senate. It angers me that you had people like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and Bill Hagerty and all of these guys out there, and they say that they're for the president's agenda, yet they would not condemn John Thune, they would not remove that man from power. And you know why?
Because ultimately, they supported John Thune more than they supported President Donald J. Trump. It angers me that we are in the middle of a war that we were told was only going to be five to six weeks long. We've been told at least five or six times that we have achieved victory, and we are still fighting this war. And there's a new report that came out yesterday suggesting this war could go on through President Trump's presidency.
It angers me that the president of the United States went out there and he told young people in America, young people, eighteen, nineteen, twenty years old, to give the Republicans a chance that we would be the party that would help them claim their American dream. And now we've got young people working two and three jobs, and they can't even afford a down payment on a house because housing is out of their reach now. And our response to that is to belittle and demean. These young Americans, Generation Z, and we're somehow surprised that Gen Z actually went out and voted for the Democrats. Are we really that stupid?
Republicans, come on! This is what this is what angers me about all this because we have been preaching this from day one on this radio program. And I look, I I know it it rubs people the wrong way when I go after the White House, but ladies and gentlemen, I don't work off anybody's talking points. I don't. I just I share what's on my heart, what's on my mind, what I believe.
So when the vice president comes out and writes what he wrote just a few moments ago, this enrages me. He said, and I I don't want to read all of this. He goes. Our voters did show up in Florida, for example. The electorate was nine points more than Republican, the Democrat, just a couple of points worse than 2024.
Undoubtedly, there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why. That is one of the pollsters I really respect.
Told me that our economic messaging was not sharp enough down the stretch. I'm sure that's true.
Well, whose fault is that, Mr. Vice President? J.D. Vance seems to forget that there's a V and a P right before his name. He seems to forget that he actually lives in public housing in Washington D.C.
And why is that? Because he's the number two guy. Unbelievable! You're telling me that you needed a upholster and analyst to tell you that the econ the economic messaging was not sharp enough. You've got the president of the United States going out in front of a crowd and telling them they couldn't be they would not be able to afford to buy a hamburger at Mar a Lago.
They can't even afford to buy a hamburger down at McDonald's. You've got a Republican lawmaker down in Mississippi, who, by the way, Cindy Hyde Smith, who may end up losing the U.S. Senate seat in Mississippi, and you want to know why? Because her response to the high prices of ground beef was to tell you people to go go check, you know what? Go find an alternate protein.
She went on to say, "Those of you who can't afford to pay gasoline for your car, you ought to consider getting a bicycle." This is what we're dealing with. Let me go on and finish reading this. This just really—I was—I was actually in a good mood coming into the show, and then I read what the vice president wrote here, and it just set me off. He goes, "The real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone." Well, clearly, it wasn't obvious to sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue, sir. Another pollster.
What is up with all these pollsters? You know what? I would have been happy to do it for free. You know they were charging a hundred thousand dollars for this for this this guidance. I'd have done it for free.
Another pollster, one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we'd lose the generic ballot by thirteen points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked. By this, in his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump twenty twenty four voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. You think that just happened overnight? By the way, no, of course not.
He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, according for nearly all of the responses, number one in the war. Number two, focus on cost of living inflation. Number three, put America first. Number four, change our relationship to Israel.
I'm sorry, what? I think they must have interviewed Tucker, so. No, I'm serious. I that that's bizarre. I'm just wondering.
All of you folks out there, are you upset because we support the nation of Israel? That we support our closest ally in the Middle East? I guess apparently that's a problem according to the Vice President of the United States. But you're telling me, and this is where this is where I'm just livid. The vice president of the United States somehow was clueless.
He had no idea that if we just ended the war and maybe did something about the economy, and we put America first instead of I don't know funding Afghanistan, if we did all of that, that the voters would come back to the Republican Party.
So look, there's there is so much to talk about here, and we're going to get to all of it, all of it. Because we've got a country to save.
Now I want to say this, and we're going to go to the phones right away. I want to get to the phones because many of you have things to say about this. Don't you dare get discouraged. Don't you dare throw in the towel. This is the United States of America, ladies and gentlemen.
This is freedom's last and best chance for for hope and change in this country and the world. We can't go anywhere else. This is it.
So look, we've been in these rough patches before, and it's not a pretty. It is not a pretty thing. It's not pleasant at all. But we're going to get through this. We really are, and we're going to look.
We're going to make it. We're going to make it. But don't you get discouraged? Let not your heart be troubled, America, because God is still in control. God is still on the throne.
And things are going to be okay. We're going to go through a rough patch, no doubt about it. The Democrats have already told Republicans to lawyer up. Exact quote, by the way, lawyer up. That's where we are right now.
All right, nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. How bad is your messaging that the voters decided communism and wearing a burka is the better alternative? How how messed up is your messaging, Dylan? By the way, we are working on a um a new line of products for the Todd Stern's Radio Show store.
You know where you can get the lovely hats and the the the ball caps and the T shirts. We're creating a Todd Stern's burka line. Oh wow! Yeah, America first burkas. Yeah, might as well.
So you know, the women are going to have to wear them. That's what the women of America decided. We want to be fully burkined. Is that the correct burkined? Burkined.
Oh my word! You know, also I'm a little concerned about my book. Right, we may need to rename it. How Trump almost saved America. Is it still time to rename it?
You know what? If you buy, if you buy a Todd Starnes Baptist Berka, we'll throw in the book half price. There you go. How's that? Jeez, this is a crappy week.
All right, let's start the day in Houston, Texas. Steve is on the line. Steve, what in the world happened in the Lone Star State? I'll tell you what, Todd. I'm ashamed of Texas right now, and this is only the second time I have voted in elections.
And my main concern—I didn't even know who half of the candidates were—but I voted Republican down the board, and I didn't want to see Greg Abbott lose office because. And Greg Abbott, he's the only governor I've seen. Even when Biden was in office, he was willing to stand up to Washington and send troops to the border, a National Guard. He was all about Texas, and I don't know what the hell's going to happen to Texas now. And I, I just think that that it's a shame that just because the current administration, we all feel let down.
I mean, I feel let down. And the bad thing is, when it comes to the next presidential election, people aren't going to believe the Republicans now when they, you know, these youngsters when when they say that things are going to get better under the, you know, they've played good cop and bad cop with us my whole life, and you know, I saw Trump as a change, and until this whole war and the economy, and you know, it's just like George Bush all over again. Steve, i I hear your I hear your concerns, and I think they're all very valid. I really do. I do have to wonder if all of the folks moving into Texas from other states like California, if those folks are are changing the dynamic there when it comes to the ballot box.
And you know, it used to be where you guys kept all the liberals down in Austin, but now they're all over the place. It's strange you said that because the first thing when I woke up this morning and I saw the polls, I said, "Well, they done California, not Texas." There you go. All right, Steve, hang in there. We're going to get through this together, but and we're going to talk solutions. But today, this is free therapy on the radio.
Thanks a lot, Steve. Real quick, let's go to Ron in Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM. Hi, Ron. What's on your mind? Hey, Dad, how you doing?
I'm well, thank you for asking. Hey, I was looking at the governor's race because I'm proud of Tennessee, and they voted in Marsha, you know. And I was looking into this, and I and when I get on the internet, it's showing that it was a real tight race, right? That yeah, no, it was. Yeah, they they projected she was going to win by seventy points.
I think she won by two.
Well, I looked into it, and I got into doing breaking down all all the counties and the and the votes that came in with Green and with with her.
Okay, and then I totaled up the total amount of votes and and you can look into this for yourself if you want to, you know, because I am known to be wrong. But Marcia had over one million one hundred eighty five votes. And she had Green had five hundred ninety six thousand. I'm not sure I'm following you there, Ron. Yes, I went to the county where they separated all the county votes.
You know, from the counties and what what the vote was for the Republican for Martian. What how many votes were turned in in each county for the Okay, so so what's your yeah?
So she no, according to the the Tennessee Secretary of State's office, there were only about fifty thousand votes that separated Blackburn from Jerry Green, the Democrat in the race. You have evidence of something else?
Well, that's what I am getting when I get on when I get on the internet and I look it up, and I get into the separation of the votes. No, I would. If I were you, I would go to the Tennessee Secretary of State's office or go to their website, and you'll see all the vote totals there. It was a very, very close.
So, Marcia won by barely three points.
So, there in that, or I'm sorry, two and a half, three points in that race, Ron. I've got to go. Thank you for that call. Hang tight, everybody. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
We'll be right back. Remember, back in 2020, when the media narrative was absolute, when anybody suggesting early alt. Alternatives was instantly silenced and deplatformed. The late Doctor Zev Zelenko was right at the epicenter of it all when he created ZStack and the Zelenko Protocol. He took immense heat for sharing his protocol, specifically designed to boost your immune system.
Even President Trump himself cited him in a press briefing regarding what would become known as the Zelenko Protocol, which led to Trump himself adopting it.
Now I just saw the video on X and saw it for myself. Amazing! Every key ingredient behind those protocols was meticulously chosen based on rigorous research at the exact doses that matter.
Now, over five years later, history has completely vindicated him.
Now we all know how critical a strong immune system is. And if you've ever felt helpless watching the headlines, hear this: you are not powerless. There is something you can do about. About it. All right.
So, look, hang tight here. We're we're gonna have to take a quick break. We went super long in the first segment, but we are getting to your calls nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number. Speaker Mike Johnson has announced he will not be seeking a leadership position.
He will not be running for minority leader. We understand Jim Jordan and Steve Scalise are throwing their names in the hat. I got to tell you, I think we need we need fresh fresh leadership up on Capitol Hill. I'm a big fan of Brandon Gill. What do you guys think about him as Minority Leader?
Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Hang tight, we're going to get right back to your calls on the Todd Stern Show.
Call eight three three. Three hunger, or visit worldhelp dot net slash radio. All the Iran war.
You look at the. I mean, look at what Trump did today. He came out and said. First of all, on Fox, he said, "Well, I think people are glad we stopped the nuclear program in Iran." Oh no, they aren't. Nobody was worried about Iranian nukes.
And also, he apparently—I don't know—said on Truth Social or came out and said, "Okay, fine. We'll stop giving Israel four billion dollars." He's trying to get people to vote for him, and he knows what it's about. It's what the polls show. I mean, if people don't say the Iran war specifically, and a lot of them say the Iran war, they say gas prices, they say cost of living.
Well, that's the Iran war. And by the way, I think it's worth pointing that out. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Because I was just watching, you know, all these Democrats on I don't know CNN, MSNBC, and they want to say it's about anything but the Iran war. It's oh, they people.
People hate Trump, and it's because of the tariffs, and it's because of voter suppression and racism and January 6. No, it's not. It's the Iran War. Yeah, that's Ann Coulter, and she is back, and she is really fired up over what happened last night. And I hope you understand the severity of the the defeat for the Republicans.
This is not something that's going to be fixed in one election cycle. By the way, they're still counting votes. I mean the the numbers are off the charts. You folks in North Carolina, for example. If the current numbers hold, the entire Republican delegation in North Carolina will have gone down in defeat.
That's what we're talking about here. It's just really shocking. Let's go to the phone lines as promised: nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Jeff in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM. Jeff, what's your take on what happened yesterday?
Good good morning, Todd. Let me preface what I what my take is. It it would be is, and that is that I worked the Shelby County poll yesterday, a Shelby County poll yesterday, first time, and it was exciting to see a steady stream of Americans exercising their rights and privileges as citizens. There was a handful of first time voters. They were celebrated and applauded.
Because they have begun to enter the fray, and and exercise their citizenship rights, a couple of thoughts, and then a hope stated and rooted in the scripture, and I'll get off the line. I do think the Iran conflict played a major role because it had a direct bearing on the cost of living. The economy still spitting and sputtering. And to talk about nuclear bombs and and so on, while we're involved in another foreign entanglement that has no end in sight, it became a tiresome, tiresome bromide. People are tired of it.
Neoconservatives are not. They love hawkish activity, but I think most Americans are tired of endless foreign entanglements. Iran will become, I believe. Trump's no new taxes in his second term. I think people are tired, and I'm a longtime Republican, voted Republican since 1980.
I've stated that on your program before. People are tired of do nothing Republicans who promise and do not deliver. It's just more of the same repeal and replace nonsense. And executive action, though sometimes needed, is not a substitute. For legislative action, next president will come in and with a stroke of pen, change back the Gulf of America to the Gulf of Mexico.
That's cosmetic buffoonery that does not affect when I purchase groceries as a retiree or when I pass pass the pump and see the prices. And so on.
Well, let me just say this. Let me just say this, Jeff. And and you are onto something here. All of the executive orders and people. A lot of people forget that the reason why the president has had to do the executive orders is because the Republicans in Congress were not getting those things codified.
So every single thing, and you're absolutely right. On day one, a Democrat president will step into that Oval Office and will undo every single executive order. Gulf of America goes away. The what is it? Lake?
What do we call it? Lake America? Is that what we got? Lake America goes away. All of the orders involving regarding you know sex and gender, all that, all that goes away.
It goes away, Jeff. And and I think that's you know the American people need to understand that the do nothing Congress was not just some sort of a catchphrase; they literally did nothing. One final comment, and I'll get off. I appreciate your show. You're even-handed, and and I appreciate that.
Real hope for America, and one's personal hope is not tied to a party. It's fun to watch the back and forth. It's fun to analyze, look, and so on. But as a voting evangelical believer, I never think when I go in and cast that ballot, and who sits in the Oval Office. Or who's in the majority in the Senate or the House?
That that my hope is tied to the the swings of the sissetons of of that electoral process. Real hope is rooted in another with a capital A. There's one who sits on the throne. He set it. He set on it on Monday.
He is on it on Tuesday. He's on it today. It's a throne that will never be usurped or toppled. He ordains whatsoever comes to pass. That means when we've got a Carter, followed by a Reagan, followed by a Bush, followed by Jeff.
Let's get to it. We are about to run out of time here, my friends. Yeah.
So that's where that's what my hope is. Yeah.
Meanwhile, I exercise my right. It's Jeremiah twenty-nine. We pray for the peace and prosperity of where we live, but we build and plant, we give our sons and daughters in marriage, and we look to another. All right, Jeff. Thank you for that call.
Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. It may be a five Doctor Pepper day. I'm just saying.
So look, I want to play some more audio here. President Trump. And the president, remember what he said—that he wanted all of us to imagine that that he was that he was on the ballot, right? Remember that's why we wanted to have the big rally in Dallas, Texas. And the president said, you know, I want to make sure you know, you just when you go and vote, just think of me on the ballot, even though I'm not on the ballot, think of me as being on the.
Do we all remember when the president said that? Right? I don't think I was dreaming that. Cut number twenty-eight, please. I'm just wondering what what's your message?
What do you think happened? Your party tonight. I wasn't on the ballot, and. We didn't get the people out, but I wasn't on the ballot. If I was on the ballot, we would have won.
We would have won it all very easily. But you know, Mister President, you told voters that you were on the ballot to go vote as though you were on the ballot. Yeah, I said, say you're on the ballot. Think about me being on the ballot, but they didn't agree and they didn't like the candidates in most cases. Just one of those things.
Are there certain people elected, by the way, too? But you know, not enough. Yeah, well, there you go. President certainly disappointed because he put it all out there. I mean, he did.
He left everything on the field, as did Speaker Mike Johnson. Who should be? I look. I think Speaker Johnson did a fine job. He got everything through the House that needed to get through the House.
The Senate is where the bottleneck occurred. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's go to Larry in Ocala, Florida. W O C A. Larry, what's on your mind?
Hey man, we talked. I guess what two weeks ago, and I told you this had nothing to do with Democrats. This had one hundred percent to do with Republicans getting fired. You could almost go back and just the same as we elected Donald Trump the first time. I said this then on the Rush Limbaugh show that this is voting for Donald Trump was like sticking your finger in the in the eye of the Republicans because we were sick and tired of being lied to, and then we got Trump, and then what we get?
We got fill the swamp. But I can tell you one thing: where they went wrong when it all turned around is when Donald Trump said, "Y'all are still talking about that about those Epstein files." That right there was the breaking point. We were sick and tired. We knew no one was going to be prosecuted. We knew no Democrats were going to be held to account.
We knew Fauci wasn't going to be held to account. We got the big, beautiful bill. Spin, spin, spin, and now a war. If you don't think that this has, if you think this has anything to do with Democrats. You are delusional, and I watched Fox News last night, and they didn't mention anything about the Epstein files, and they didn't mention anything about a repudiation.
I mean, an absolute firing of the Republicans. That's what it was about, and brother, you were wrong, Larry. Brother, no, I was not wrong, brother. I was actually right. I've been very vocal on this program about releasing the Epstein files, about delivering on every single campaign promise that was made, and I've been warning the Republicans for the past two years, Larry.
Two years, I've been warning the Republicans to deliver on their campaign promises.
Now, do I get behind the microphone and scream until the? Veins are popping out of my neck. No, because I don't think people want to hear that every single day. But we talk about those issues, Larry.
So yeah, I you said I'm wrong, and I'm not wrong at all. We've been telling it like it is. You said I was wrong that I that that that was not the situation that we weren't just mad about Republicans. But if you listen to everybody that's talking, they're acting like that, and and the Democrats can make the same mistake that the Republicans can make, and we should let them. As Republicans, we need to step back and say, okay, what's important?
What's important is one thing: keep your word. If you're not going to do it when you get elected, exactly not. No, no, no! Look, no, you're look, you're exactly right, Larry, and and that has been the problem. The Republicans have repeatedly lied to the American people.
And quite frankly, the administration has lied to the American people. They have promised one thing, but they have not delivered on it. And again, if you didn't want to release the Epstein files, you never should have brought it up and made the promise in the first place. I mean, that's that's where I stand on those issues. Larry got a run.
Thank you for that nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's go to Eric in Georgia. Hi, Eric. What say you? Oh, it's it's crazy what's going on.
Everybody has their two cents about. Oh, everything went wrong because of Epstein and this and that. And it's really this is just a big game they play every time they go in. One minute everybody's everybody is the end of the world. It's the end of the world.
We got to do something, and nothing ever happens. Republicans had their chance to to push through so many bills and did absolutely nothing. Never come together. It's just it's just a game they play nonstop, and we all get screwed in the middle. I I am stunned, quite frankly, by what happened in Georgia.
I thought Rick Jackson was was going to be your next governor. That is a crazy crazy story. And what happened in in your state last night? I can't believe it. I don't know how that actually happened.
I don't know a single person that was said they were going to vote for Keisha.
So I. I'm I'm flabbergasted. I don't I don't I don't know. I mean I don't know how that's possible. I don't know a single person, even my father, who's a lifelong Democrat, said he couldn't vote for her.
But somehow, fifty-four percent of the vote.
Something doesn't smell right. I'm sorry.
Well, I I know that we've already got a lot of people on our social media pages suggesting that there were voting shenanigans, and there may have been, but not to this level. And and again, what makes us different is that it would have to have been coordinated in every single state separately. This was just a good old fashioned butt whooping, and the American people and trust me on this one, Eric, they're not embracing the Democrats. They're just enraged at the Republicans because the Republicans did. Live up to their their word, and and that's a big problem.
And I think a lot of people, and we talked about this yesterday. If the Republicans turned out in mass for to vote, we would have won. And if they didn't, well, there's a reason for that because a lot of people are really upset over what the Republicans have not done. Eric, thank you for that call. We're going to take a quick break.
Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. A line now open. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, let's let's go to Memphis, Tennessee. Andre, listening to us on KWAM, our flagship radio station.
All right, Andre, what do you think about the the elections yesterday?
Well, first of all, Todd, I want to tell you, be encouraged, man. God is in control. Be encouraged. I think the elections, man. I prayed about it, and I think we've gotten away from one nation under God, and people don't have a real God.
You got people that are sitting around here. Where you got Muslims going in supposedly Christian churches?
Some of giving your support and other people being outraged that stand up and applaud it. You got people that are pushing these ideas in politics based on my race and not what the word of God says. You got people that are that are pushing it that God made some mistakes, but He made bail and people other and and people that are supposedly believers are applauding it and. And it's a great fall away from the church, like about it. We got away from the fear of God and patience.
I think there may be something to that, Andre. And I go back to the 2024 platform committee fights within the Republican Party, where they actually softened language about abortion and they softened language about the about traditional marriage. And you you wonder, okay, is is the Good Lord trying to send us a message here? Yeah, if they're compromising and there are consequences to your choices, and and one thing about it, you could choose. If you want a rabbit, God will let you have a rabbit, but be prepared to suffer the consequences of it.
I think America has been known as the makeshift change. Pastor Andre, great guidance and great words. Thank you, sir. Let's go to Gary in Daytona Beach, Florida. W O C A.
Hi, Gary. What say you? Well, so far, I think out of all your callers, I think everybody offered something a little different, and in some aspects, everybody had a very valid point on some of their, you know, their the points that they made. I've become more selfish in the sense that since COVID, I believe in protecting the state that I live in. I know there's the federal government aware of that, and I'll be really quick, but.
The way Ron DeSantis took care of Floridians during COVID, and rejected a lot of the crazy things that was going on elsewhere, and we've kept Florida red. I mean, we're one of the few states. But with the vote count, when you were talking about it, when your first few callers, we have, and they had, they're the laziest bunch of people with the. We had one point, probably four million. I did a little autopsy on it.
About one point four million active registered Republican voters that didn't vote in Florida yesterday. Wow.
Well, you know, again, Gary, when you don't vote, you vote, right?
So, but I'm very selfish and protecting Florida. I know it's very important in the presidency in the Senate, but I think Byron Donalds has learned from Ron DeSantis. How when crazy stuff comes from the federal government about you're going to close schools and you're going to have DEI, Ron DeSantis put in there has has stood tall and I think Byron Donalds. But no, it was really sad on how close, even though we kept it red, how close it shouldn't have been. And I heard other people say it's a statement that Byron Donalds only won by a hundred thousand.
Ron DeSantis. Barely beat the crack addict Gillum by twenty or thirty thousand. It's true. It's true. Yeah, Gary, thank you for that.
No, you're absolutely right, and it's true.
Sorry about the the phone connection there, Gary. Let's go to Wayne in Cleveland, Georgia. Hi, Wayne. What's on your mind? Yes, I've been listening to your last few callers and talking about Republicans not keeping their word and so forth.
So again, like you just pointed out, not voting.
So now we, by sitting on our hands, have voted in a bunch of people who are ten times worse at saying one thing and doing another. And I don't understand to save my life why Republicans want to give every Republican on the ticket a proctology exam, but the Democrats just vote for the D. And the the time to handle these things is in the primary, not in general election. The only bright spot I see is we can change it back in two years if we get off our hands and quit pouting because we didn't win our primary for the whoever we wanted to win the primary. Yeah, and i I just don't get it.
I don't get people that are otherwise logical. The claim to be Republican can't get that point. Wayne, it is. It's an excellent point you make, and thank you for that. I thought I misunderstood.
I thought somebody was giving Republicans a proctology exam. Oh God, that's all we need—another scandal. Jeez, the loo. We'll be right back, everybody. Wow.
Broadcasting coast to coast and border to border from Memphis, Tennessee. That's us. That's right. I love this American ride. Todd stars.
You know, I was looking at some of the numbers here, and the numbers of evangelicals who voted in the election yesterday. Only get this: only seventeen percent of evangelicals voted in the midterm election. Only seventeen percent of registered evangelical voters turned out yesterday to vote.
Now, on the other side. It was projected that about eighty-one percent of Muslims voted in the midterm elections, so striking numbers, and it's it's really shocking because again, if I mean evangelicals by sheer numbers, if more than you know forty, fifty percent of you turn out to vote, you're going to actually win elections. But when you've got eighty-one percent of Muslims getting out and voting on election day. All you Baptists, you guys better get ready because soon you're going to be wearing burkas, the Baptist burka. Hello, everybody.
Welcome to the Tom Sterns Radio Show, hour two, as we do the the post election autopsy of what in the world happened. We're going to get to your calls in just a moment. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Say hello to our good friend Michael Wilson. He hosts the morning show there on Patriot Talk 920 in Houston.
Michael, I'm curious, what is the mood there in the Lone Star State today? You know, Todd, it's difficult to answer the mood from probably 90 of people. At least, most of my group is is a little bit lower than maybe an average Wednesday. For me, I'm a I'm a I'm a and just an optimist all the time. And so, for me, I'm I'm already trying to eke out what good news there is and how we can play this as it being a future, long-term gain, which I think it will be long-term.
So that's my mood, at least. I'm very optimistic.
Well, I've had three Dr. Peppers today, so I'm feeling a little bit optimistic now.
So I'm doing good. You know, it's interesting. It is going to take it's going to take multiple election cycles, barring some sort of you know, Democrats just go over the edge and force all the women in America to wear burkas. I think that it's going to take a couple of election cycles to to gain back some of these seats. But I'm just I'm curious about this this Senate race.
President Trump making no no bones about it, he said that Paxton was a bad candidate. Mediaite, you are going to love this. I got to read this quote to you for Mediaite.
So they have a a place where people your age go in in DC called Butterworths, and they held a big private GOP party there. And someone said, talking about Kim Paxton, "I am not trying to crash out, but we nominated Hitler with Down syndrome, and guess what? He lost. He lost." Oh, that cuts me up. That cuts me up.
The frustrating thing, though, for me is that that would make a semblance of sense. If we had lost the Senate race and then we had retained most of our other statewide races, we lost every single statewide position, and I mean every single one. We lost our governor, our attorney general, our railroad commissioner, our land commissioner, who had the highest approval rating of basically any candidate ever. Lost like every single statewide election, we lost to the Democrats.
So the whole it was Ken Paxton's fault. Doesn't really work for me, just based on the data. What what do you make of the losses, though? What were people What were people saying?
So, from my understanding, and again, this is a little anecdotal, but I think it's I think it's fair and it makes sense to me.
So I'm going to go with it. I think, and I've heard people say the exact opposite. I don't think it's true. I think that people are really upset by the lack of action. I'll give you a great example: it's Sharia law.
Down here in Texas, we have had a massive influx of Islam, of mosques, of Muslim leaders. For example, we just had a Muslim elected to be county judge of Harris County, one of the largest counties in the country.
Now has a Muslim county judge running the whole county. People see all of that, and when you Response from your your main moderate Republican candidates is well, we need to ban Sharia law, and we say well, the Constitution in our state's already done that. We're not worried about Sharia. We're worried about how you end up with Sharia anyway, which is through large amounts of influence. But you won't talk about that because that would make you look anti-Muslim, and you you rely on Pakistani donors, Muslim donors, and all the rest.
People start to say, well, then you're no better. It's just a slower fade into the same issue. And so people really fed up and said, "Why would I bother voting for someone that's going to do the same thing at a slower pace?" If maybe, and this is where my optimism comes in, I say, "Maybe this is an opportunity to get a whole new guard of people who are willing to say radical things if it means standing up for our country." You know that is an interesting way of looking at it. And in all honesty, I know they're getting ready to have leadership votes, and Jim Jordan, Steve Scalise, going to be vying for minority leader. I'd like to see somebody like a Brandon Gill.
I think we need to get fresh blood across the board in the Republican Party, and everybody at the RNC headquarters, everybody needs to be fired because that was a really just a complete political abortion, is what happened last night. Yeah, and I tell you the whole reason for it is that again, and I heard you mention it, is that you keep seeing this this response to losing to Democrats, and it's historically always failed. Which is, hey, what if we just moderate even more and look more like a Democrat so they vote for us instead of, hey, how about we're men of principle and character and integrity, and we say what we mean and we mean what we say? Maybe that would win us elections. When you look at all the elections we lost, the vast majority of Republicans.
Don't look different from a Democrat ten, fifteen years ago, and everyone recognizes the pattern and goes, "Well, then, what will Republicans look like in ten or fifteen years if we don't have a massive change? It's not going to look any different than the Democrat Party looks today.
So, why would I bother voting for that if maybe even in the short term losses, it means in eight years, four years, we can come back and say, 'Let's put candidates in who are willing to say things that get them in trouble because those things are true.'" I'm have always been surprised by your governor, Greg Abbott. He he does not come across as a conservative to me. And quite frankly, I was stunned that he just did nothing as the Islamists pretty much took over large swaths of the state.
Well, you also have to remember, Todd, that he was really focused because he had to dress up in Diwali attire, Hindu attire, during Diwali to make sure that he represented his Hindu voters. He had to dress up in their clothes in his wheelchair, and it just—it's so frustrating because it's again, we're in Texas, and we're at the point where you look at the Republican leadership and you say, "This doesn't look conservative. This doesn't look traditional." And Greg Abbott's never going to say anything that gets him in trouble with anybody. And we need some troublemakers in office if we want to beat the people that are causing trouble in our state. We have a massive influx of both Hinduism and of of Islam.
If you look in Fort Bend County, one of the big counties right outside Harris County, where I'm at, where I'm at. Massive influx of Hinduism and Hindu statue, the biggest Hindu statue maybe in the country, is right there in Fort Bend County. And when you have a governor who's dressing up like them and not taking a stand and saying, "No, that's actually really evil and demon worship," you're going to lose because conservatives need someone who's willing to stand up. No pun intended there. You know, it's interesting you brought that up.
Of course, Vivek Ramaswamy. I want to switch gears. Ohio went down in in defeat. Are we surprised here? I mean, this is a guy who went out there and would constantly talk about how.
Lazy American workers are, you know. He was bashing America, and and I think you know people said, okay, yeah, this is not this is not my guy. I think we've actually got a job. You know, if Vivek's looking for something, we can get him a job down at FedEx. They're hiring a lot of a lot of Indian Americans these days.
Yeah, it's the same. It's the same absurd stuff. I'm curious about. You mentioned Islam, and I want to play this audio. Michigan, the Senate race—that's another shocker.
Abdul El Sayed, and it was interesting because you know he tried to portray himself as just this regular guy, you know, who talks like you and me, Michael. And but then last night, after he won, the American people got to see Doctor Doctor El Sayed for who he really is. Take a listen to cut thirty-two. My name is Abdul Rahman Muhammad Saleh. Oh boy!
The burka came off.
So proud and honored to stand here as your senator elect from the great state of Michigan.
Okay, we're good. Michael, can we deport that guy? Yeah.
That's that's I'm I'm being dead serious. The frustration for me, and this gets me called a Christian nationalist and far right and whatever other I mean terms that I mean even the right will call people like us. But the frustration is that you look back at the founding ideologies of our country, and they always want to point to the Constitution.
Well, how about the state constitutions where you had religious tests for office to prevent exactly this? You said we don't want Muslims running our states, which essentially run our country. Why would we want that? It's negative. It's anti-American ideology at its heart, and it was always inevitable that the whole Nice Guy Act would fall off once he got power.
That was the same with James Salazarico. Just wait for what James Salazarico fights for in the Senate. It's going to be the same thing. And that's the reason why historically we understood, hey, we're actually a Christian nation, and it's really bad when you mass immigrate Muslims, Hindus, and then give them power. That's like maybe the worst decision you could possibly make, and we've been making it since the 1960s.
Maybe, hopefully, this will be some sort of a wake-up call. You know, the vice president put out this this long, long message on X, which really was a repudiation of his boss, the president. But Vance, really, this just irritated me, Michael, because he's talking about how, oh yeah, the pollsters were telling us that you know, if if you know, if the voters you know really want to come back to us, we got to end the war, focus on cost of living, put America first. Really, you needed pollsters to tell you that. Yeah, it's it's.
I think it's some sort of plausible deniability for a future run. I think it's just politics, the way that he's communicating. But it's it's absolutely true. You don't need posters. You don't even actually need to leave your house.
You know it because you look around, and you are we're dealing with it. We are the American people. And so, when you look around and you look at the affordability crisis, you look at your friends who are Republicans saying, "I don't love what's going on over in the Middle East. I don't love how it seems like maybe we were bullied a little into some of this. I don't like any of this stuff, and it's stuff that we didn't vote for.
I don't like that mass deportations are missing the key word 'mass.'" And I don't like the way the country's going. Of course, it's repudiation because it's repudiation of the same thing that the Republican Party has been slowly morphing into for the past twenty to thirty years. And it needs to be different if we're going to have not only success as a party, but what's the point of success as a party if you're just slowing down the same inevitable decline? Michael Wilson, host of Patriot Talk Nine Twenty's Morning Show, there in Houston. Michael, real quick here, what was it that cost Ken Paxton specifically?
The the race was it the establishment? Republicans sitting this out.
Something else going on. I think it was a combination of two factors. I certainly think that hurt Paxton's race. I'll say it was three factors. It was the establishment Republicans that refused to actually campaign well and to fight alongside the party.
I think that it was James Talerico being an excellent campaigner, but despite being a terrible person and a terrible candidate, an excellent campaigner. And I think it was just the fact that it was it was kind of a perfect storm for him to lose, given the national and statewide losses in literally every other way imaginable. All right, well, Michael, we really appreciate you hopping on and helping us work through all of this, and no doubt some very interesting days ahead for all of us. Thanks a lot. Thank you so much for having me, Todd.
Talk to you soon. All right, Michael Wilson, everybody, Patriot Talk nine twenty. We're going to take a break. Going right to the phones when we come back. Charles in North Carolina, you're up on deck.
Then Arnez in Memphis, hang tight, everybody. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. As we go to break, we've talked about the house. Should John Thune?
Remain as the leader of the Republicans in the Senate as the minority leader, John Thune, or does John Thune need to go? Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stearns show. All right, a little bit of election breakup music. Hello, everybody!
Welcome back to the Todd Sterns Radio Show. Is that is that like is that Taylor Swift? It's Taylor Swift. Oh wow! No one does a breakup song better than her.
That was well. You know, she has a hard problem. She has a hard time keeping a man around. Hey, apparently now she doesn't. She's did she get married to the the the guy?
The Travis Kelsey. Oh, I thought it was the Gronk. One of the Gronk guys, but it was a Travis. It's a tight end either way.
Okay.
Well, whatever she likes, you know, it is what it is.
So, anyway, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Starch radio show. Trying to have a little bit of fun after that disaster of a thing. You know what I'm really concerned about, Dylan? That we're going to get the knock, and they're going to send us to the gulags.
We're gonna be. I'm gonna be in North Mississippi picking cotton. Yeah, I wouldn't. I don't. I have soft hands.
I can't survive out there. I can't do that. Yeah, my knees aren't good. You got to, you know, if especially picking cotton, you got to tote the bale. A hard job.
It is a hard job. Yeah.
On the plus side, you get to sing spirituals as you're working in the fields. There's a bright side to everything. Cross the line. They may have crossed the line there. Oh wow!
Let's go to the phones, Charles in North Carolina. W.S.I.C. Charles, help me figure this one out. Is it true your entire Republican congressional delegation may get wiped out?
Well, with the exception maybe of Pat Harrigan in the in the tenth district. Wow! Yes, and the state, the you know, Republicans had majorities in the state house, and now. Super majorities, and now the Democrats have taken over the state house. We've lost the super majority in the Senate.
I mean, Todd, there's just no way to to overstate the fact that what happened last night was a disaster. And you know, this is all, in my opinion, this this is on Donald Trump and Republican leadership for letting the voters down. And as you said. Not keeping the campaign promises, and I tell you what: if Donald Trump wants to try to regain his base, he can start today by demanding that John Thune resign and have a new Senate leadership. That's one thing, and the second thing is he can say that the war in Iran is over, and I'm bringing these carriers back home.
We won, and it's done. But Todd, I mean, there's a lot of reasons the Republicans lost, but I think the main reason has to do with this war in Iran, which caused inflation. You know, with high fuel prices, high food prices, everything else, and then as you talked about over the last couple of years, you've got a do nothing Congress that just is always in recess. They're on vacation. John Thune wouldn't allow recess appointments.
You know, let Trump make recess appointments, and then the last, the lack of mass deportations that I thought was going to happen over the last couple of years—you don't see that. I mean, Ty, it is just like Donald Trump quit listening to the people that got him elected and got state houses redistricted and everything. He did did the groundwork over the last ten years. And just started listening to these political consultants that didn't give a damn about him before 2024, and in many cases they hated him. And just I don't know, man.
I just. They just completely have blown it. I don't know what else to say. Charles, we were watching the president. We got word he was going to come out and and say a few words, and so I thought I'm with you.
I thought he was going to come out and say, "Okay, you know, it's over. We've got to move ahead. We've got to get rid of John Thune. We need new leadership across the board." Instead, he's standing in the middle of the ballroom construction site, talking about all this elaborate marble that. He's he's bringing in.
I'm Charles. There is a major disconnect going on right now at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. God, there is, and I'll be honest with you. I'm not sure we're going to be able to recover from this. I mean, I know people want to be optimistic, but you know, you've heard that once socialists and communists and fascists gain power, they never give it up at the ballot box.
And now that Democrats not only control the House and the Senate, but so many state houses, I think they're going to rig the game. You know, so that they'll never lose again.
Well, it's it's much more serious than than rigging the ballot box. You may not have to, and the reason why is we have not abolished the Department of Education. We have not cracked down on these schools that are teaching socialism and communism from a positive you know point of view. And if we don't do that, if we do not restore control of our schools back to the local communities, it's over. I mean, that's that's it for us.
So so it is a serious situation. And if it's if it's going to be abolished, it's going to happen. It's going to have to happen between now and January. And you and I both know that's that's just not gonna not gonna work. They will find some other excuse.
Charles, I got to run. Good hearing from you. I want to hear from you as well, ladies and gentlemen. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, that number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
This is the Todd Stearns show. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Stern's Election Show, post-election autopsy. Great to have you with us today. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.
We have a lot of folks waiting. Arnez in Memphis, you are on deck. But first, we go to the Patriot Mobile. Newsmaker line and say hello to our good friend Liz Peek. Lizpeek dot com is her website.
Liz, I have to tell you, I I was stunned, literally stunned by the the results yesterday. I stunned and horrified. Yeah, I think the whole country was Todd and and for good reason. Nobody anticipated. I think that.
Anger at Donald Trump would manifest itself in, you know, basically throwing out of office hundreds, hundreds, literally of people in Congress, people in governors' mentions, state legislatures, etc. This truly was a blue tsunami, as everybody is saying, and you know the consequences are yet to be determined. It's going to be a pretty interesting two years. To see Democrats try to bring their party together and get the various factions together to work for the good of the country and to deliver what they promised, which is affordability. And Todd, not one of them has a platform.
Or a program that's going to do that.
So I think there are very rocky times ahead for the GOP and for Democrats. Yeah, I well, I agree, and I think, and you know how the Democrats are—they're going to take everything to the extreme. And you know, Talarico is saying, "Oh, this isn't about retribution. Oh, that's exactly what it's going to be about." And and they're they're going to they're going to there will be plenty of missteps. I think the challenge, Liz, and we've covered politics a long time.
These numbers are so great. That it's not this is not something that can be fixed in one election cycle.
So I think we're we're looking at Democrat majorities at least you know through you know for the next four years or so. Yeah, I think that's particularly true with the Senate. The Senate really doesn't come into play again as a potential win for the GOP until twenty thirty two, which is a long way off. I think the house is different. I mean, after all, after all, it just flipped, and it flipped two two years ago.
I mean, it is. It's pretty astonishing that outrage and anger about Donald Trump, which manifested itself, by the way, not just amongst Democrats but also Republicans, because ah, yesterday the the big news to me, and I was encouraged by it, was the turnout. In Republican states and in places where Republicans generally speak, on sorry, turn up and vote on election day, turnout was huge. And yet it turns out that they weren't coming to vote for Donald Trump and their party. They were coming to vote for the other guy.
So to your point, yes, it is. We're we're in the wilderness for a while. You have to hope like crazy that the GOP. Puts up a better presidential candidate that the Democrats spend two years fighting amongst themselves, and that we have a chance at winning the Oval Office in 28. Because otherwise, you know, the Supreme Court is going to be very much in play.
I imagine Trump is certainly not going to have any chance, even if someone like Clarence Thomas was to, you know, resign tomorrow. He's not going to get anybody through the court. Through the through sorry through the Senate and onto the Supreme Court, and that's not going to happen for quite a while.
So, as I said earlier, the consequences are far-reaching, and I think we're all just beginning to figure it out. I think you're right, and again, for you know, shocker here in the Southern states is Mississippi. Where you, I mean, they're they're still counting votes. There is a statistical tie, and then of course Alaska. You could have what Democrats with fifty six seats in the Senate compared to forty four for the Republicans, and on the House side.
Liz, we were looking at North Carolina, and if the numbers hold, the entire Republican delegation there could be obliterated. It's just really remarkable. Yeah, I mean, as I said on air this morning, there was just this sort of vomiting of anti-Trump bile, and it washed over the entire Republican party. And you know, some of these people who lost their jobs. Are really good.
I mean, Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, has been an outstanding governor on every front. It's just inconceivable that Texans drove him from office. And I would say the same. You know, people like Mike Lawler representing Westchester. There was you know monkey business in that race, but machines weren't working.
But Mike Lawler was a very solid and popular candidate.
So it wasn't it wasn't malpractice on the part of the individuals who got booted. It was malpractice at the top. I know the vice president put out a pretty lengthy statement on Exxon. If you had a chance to see it, it's really stunning because it's almost a rebuke of his boss. And JD Vance is clearly setting himself up for some sort of you know a presidential run.
But I just found it to be so appalling that it took a polster to tell him, "Oh yeah, you know if you guys had just into the war focused on cost of living and put America first, you would have won." Are you kidding me? We could have told him that for free, you know, pretty much every day on the radio show.
Well, I don't know if you would agree with this, but I think JD is very much in call to some of the elements in the Republican Party, like Tucker Carlson, like Nick Nicholas Blentz, and others who are anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, and you know, I think JD is. Kind of borderline, and and by the way, who think that America first definitely does not mean supporting Israel or supporting Ukraine? They don't see a moral, you know, cause there at all. And I think JD is kind of in that camp.
So maybe this is the moment where he begins to sort of voice those sentiments. And I got to tell you, Todd, I don't think that wins him the nomination. No, and I think it's going to alienate, you know, Jewish voters. To be perfectly blunt about it, so it's it's it's all just very puzzling. Don Jr.
responded to that with a 100% message, so that is clearly coming from that side of the of the party. I'm curious about about Ron DeSantis, and I think we we sort of knew things were not going to be good because DeSantis was already out there saying, "Hey, look, things are going to be bad." What do you think about about DeSantis and his his comments about the election? I think there's an opening for him. You know, after all, like Greg Abbott, he has been a terrific governor and very popular in the state of Florida. Let's face it, the only place where you could look at a win and say, "Thank the Lord that one got through," was Florida, where you did elect a Republican governor.
And you did elect a Republican senator.
Now again, it was a red state, but what the heck? Kansas is a ultra red state. Texas is a red state. Those things didn't matter. Those hues were completely unimportant when people went to vote.
And Florida sort of emerged as. A place where Republicans, you know, did better did did as expected. I they certainly didn't do better than expected because the victory margin was very narrow. But I think DeSantis, with all that, you know, actually will make for pretty good. I think he now has a shot at at the nomination and.
Again, I think we're going to see a sort of schism here in the party. By the way, I put Marco Rubio not in JD Vance's camp. I put him in the sort of normal conservative bolstering foreign policy, bolstering military defense camp, which is not JD Vance. Liz, as we as we get to wrap here, what is is there one thing that You know the Republicans need to do almost immediately to start trying to to right this ship and and get back on track. It's a really good question.
I think obviously the thing that Trump could do in the next two years solve the bloody Iran war, bring oil and gas prices down, and remind people that you know that that we went into Iran for good reason. I don't think they handled it well. I don't think they had a very good game plan. But that he got the message, and the message was: we want out of Iran. We want this thing fixed, whether that's through increased military action or simply negotiating some sort of peace deal, even if it isn't perfect.
He's got to get out of Iran. All right, good stuff, Liz. We're going to leave it there. Appreciate your great analysis and LizPeak dot com. Everybody, go and check out her great website.
Thanks a lot, Liz. Thank you for having me on. There will be another. There'll be a brighter day in the future, Liz. I'm just concerned.
You know, we got Abdul El Sayed in the the Senate. I don't. I don't want Liz Peek having to wear a burka. Come on. Yeah.
No kidding. No kidding. You laugh. I don't. I know.
I know. I know. Thank you, Dad. Take care of yourself. Take care.
You two now. All right.
We got to watch each other's backs. We're all going to end up in the gulags together. It's terrible. All right.
Nine zero one two seven Six zero five nine two six, our telephone number. Let's go to the phone lines and say hello to Miss Patty in Statesville, North Carolina. W S I C, our great affiliate. Hi, Miss Patty. Yeah, I just ordered a couple of burgers.
You know what? They didn't have extra small. Oh well, yeah. Those those are some full figured gals, as they say. You know.
I I I'm at I I'm at a loss. Me me Nicole, I said go on Amazon try to get some burkers and Nicole's like mom, it's like extra extra large. We we it's like you know what, we're not going to be able to wear one. Addie, you can always, you know, I I don't know, take it to a seamstress. They could, you know, take it in a little bit.
You know, you know, hey, Todd, I'm 93 pounds, and Nicole is like, you know, Nicole's like 90. We're very small. We're very small people, but you know what? I don't know. I guess the burgers are out.
I even told she's, you know, she's a manager at Walmart. I said, just tell Walmart to start, oh yeah, order ordering burgers. You got to start ordering them because you know what, and you know, Walmart is definitely extra extra large. Oh, you got to put another few X's on that. Yeah, no, I hear you.
Yeah, you know, Patty, what concerns me is, you know, we're in Memphis, we're in Memphis, and we smoke a lot of pork butt around here, and I am really concerned if they show up and say, "All right, you can't do, you can't do the pork anymore." Oh God, Todd. You know what? I am laughing so hard because you know what? Let these idiots have their two years of joy because I'm going to tell you something right now. In 2028, I believe we're going to take it back.
I'm going to win the presidency in 2028. You think so? Yes, Patty. I'm writing this down. What gives you?
Why would you say that? I because because people are going to see what they voted for and. Two years, they're not going to do nothing. The only thing they're going to do is impeach, impeach, impeach. They're not going to bring gas.
Oh, and one thing I have to tell you: when I took the car to work yesterday, the gas was three forty-nine. Guess what it was today, Todd? Pretty weird. It's three twenty-five. Why did it go down so fast?
Well, it's a great question, Patty. Let me just let me just say this: if if the president's able to get the war wrapped up and we can get back to life as normal, I I think maybe the general population will sort of ease up. But as long as we're at war, you know, we're gonna. I think we're gonna have problems. I if we're still at war by twenty twenty eight, I am not too sure the Republicans are going to be able to pull off a presidential win.
Look, I'm gonna say you one thing before I go. I'm gonna tell you something. I believe I, I don't. You know what? I like JD Vance, but Todd, I'm gonna be.
My heart is with Marco Rubio. I think Marco Rubio would make a great president. Patty, I will. I'm going to mark you down for that, and we're gonna we will look and see what happens between now and when it's time to pick the next presidential nominee. Patty, good to hear from you, my friend, and glad to know you're doing well.
Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, this story from Maine, where Susan Collins went down in defeat yesterday. Dylan, do you like dogs? I generally like dogs.
You like dogs? All right, well, that's good. A Maine public school administrator has raised concerns about allowing dogs inside public school classrooms. Doctor Abdullah Ahmed. Says that they are looking at changing classroom pet policies after a teacher's request to foster puppies.
You know, some teachers like to have a pet in the classroom, whether it be I don't know a parrot or a goldfish, perhaps a lizard, or in some cases like a dog. I'm jealous. None of my teachers ever had any fun pets. Cats are mean. I wouldn't put a cat in there.
Oh no! Right. You don't want a cat, lady. No. But doctor, that's true.
Doctor Ahmed says there are problems because some Islamic traditions consider dog saliva impure. This is coming from the New York Post. Ochmed said he had consulted local Muslim religious leaders who opposed keeping dogs as classroom pets. This, again, according to the New York Post, the debate began after a teacher at Ocean Avenue Elementary School sought permission to foster puppies in her classroom, giving students an opportunity to interact with animals during reading and playtime. It sounds like a wonderful idea.
Ahmed says that the dogs should be kept in separate rooms to respect students and families with religious objections.
So there you go, ladies and gentlemen, the Islamification of America. It's going to happen very, very quickly. It'll be subtle, but it's going to happen very quickly. All right, let's go to the phone lines. Athens, Georgia.
Lewis, listening to us on W D U N. Hi, Lewis. What's on your mind? Oh, I got a ring. Just a minute.
All right.
Well, let's put Lewis on hold. Let's go to Scott in Athens, Georgia. Hi, Scott. What's on your mind? Hey, Todd.
You you don't have to worry about these Democrats because once they get into office, the first thing they're going to do is they're going to start trying to spend money. And if they spend money, this debt is at forty trillion dollars, and this is why we have the inflation we have. And if they try to spend more money, it's just going to rise inflation even more. Their base is going to bury themselves in this country alive if they if they if they do what they do did the last time when Pelosi was in there.
So, so you're saying, Scott? And again, I I appreciate you helping walk me back from the ledge because you know I'm concerned they're going to send me off to the gulags. You know that's what they they want to do. And you know I'm just I'm not good working the fields. Yeah, but they—you don't understand.
United States is running out of countries to borrow money from, and the debt's at forty trillion, and the the interest rate is just through the roof. And the United States is broke, and these Democrats are going to come in, and they think they're going to start spending money again. And when they start raising that debt past forty trillion, when that thing hits being fifty to sixty trillion. Man, the monetary system is going to collapse, and we're going to go into a monstrous depression.
Well, Scott, you you may be right about that, and the Democrats are going to try to do that. Trump again promising that he's going to be president veto moving forward.
So, well, I don't know. We'll see how all that plays out, Scott. Thank you for that that call. Dylan, I've been looking at the spirituals just in case you know, because I don't know if they're going to allow you to bring anything with you.
So I'm going to have to memorize these things. You're telling me you don't have some of them memorized already? No, dim bones. I've got that one. And then what's the other one?
I want my baby back, baby. No, that's not. That's baby back. That's spiritual. Is that a spiritual song?
It's chilly's spiritual. It's chilly's theme song. Whoops, my bad. Swing low, sweet chariot.
Okay, swing low, sweet chariot. I think you are ready for the gulags. Yeah, I could. Or and so sometimes I feel like a motherless child. Yeah, sometimes I feel like that.
Actually, oh, another one. Wade in the water. Oh, that's a good one.
So I have a repertoire as I as I go off to the the fields. All right, hang tight, everybody. Hour three of the big show coming up. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. This is the Todd Stern Show.
From Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Star. Shut up, that's right. I love this American ride. All right.
I was just checking the Mississippi numbers, and it looks like the Democrat in that Senate race, Scott Collum, is. Pulling ahead again, so Cindy Hyde Smith could be going down in defeat in the state of Mississippi. Those numbers are have not been finalized yet.
So, hello everybody, welcome to hour three of the big show. Great to have you with us. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Last night I was inside the war room for two of our congressional candidates.
Here in the Memphis area, State Senator Brent Taylor and Congressman David Kastov, and it was really fascinating to kind of see everything, how it all operates behind the scenes, watching the numbers coming in. And there were a couple of moments last night when there was great concern that a good many Republicans in rock solid red Tennessee could go down in defeat. The good news, of course, is that we managed to eke out victories, and Congress.
Now, Brent Taylor is congressman-elect, and Congressman David Costoff winning reelection.
So, congratulations to those gentlemen. Coming up a little bit later, we're going to be talking to Charlie Hancher, who is the congressman-elect for the fifth congressional district here in here in Tennessee. Right now, though, I want to go to the Patriot Mobile NewsMaker line and say to our good buddies. Who yesterday they brought us a little bit of you know what Dylan we're going to need that we got to have the music we got to have the the the doom and gloom music here to introduce our two friends Harry Hurley from WPG Radio in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Jeff Katz, our great affiliate in in Richmond, Virginia, WRVA. Gentlemen, this song is for you.
Whoa! Whoa! All right, thank you very much, sir. Gentlemen, you've got your theme song. Nice, you haven't lost your sense of humor, Todd.
Guys, you can't help but have a sense of humor after what we went through yesterday. Harry, let's let's start with you. What surprised you about last night?
Well, when Florida is the best state in the union, counting votes fast, and when it took all night for Byron Donalds to win the governorship and for Ashley Moody to win the Senate seat, you knew it was going to be a long night all over the country.
So the closeness in Florida is a surprise, but they pulled it out. Got to give them credit. My congressman, my forty-year friend, Jeff Andrew, losing his seat. Was just an abomination. It was terrible.
We lost our sheriff. We lost our county clerk. We lost three county commissioners. It was an absolute Atlanta County, New Jersey bloodbath. Wow, that's Jeff.
Jeff, how about things there in Virginia?
Well, we we lost a longtime friend of mine, Rob Whitman. He lost his congressional seat. Jen Kiggans lost her seat here in Hanover County, Virginia, which I guess remains the darn near the the reddest part of Virginia.
Now, we held on to my congressman, John McGuire, and we we held on to our sheriff. But it was neck and neck, nipped and tucked all the way along in terms of the congressional race, and I don't know. Herring did promise me that there was no way Texas or South Carolina would go in the wrong direction. And man, oh man, oh man.
Well, the governor, the governor Wilson, though, who will be governor Wilson, did win.
So there you can prove that it was. Darlene Graham was not a good enough candidate. Sixty percent of South Carolinians said she's not qualified to be senator. That included forty percent of Republicans who said she was not qualified. Texas, because Abbott also lost, and he did nothing but be a great governor.
I can't blame Paxton as though he's this terrible candidate that everybody says. It just was a night where voters around the country, Democrats were very motivated, and unfortunately, convergence of independents that switched over that had been voting Republican went Democrat, and then you peel off a certain percentage of Hispanic voters, particularly in Texas. And African American voters, and you have this horrible recipe—a cauldron for Todd's music, her bumper music coming in, cauldron of just awful, which led to what it was. But what I do want to offer is a sobering assessment: Bill Clinton in his first midterm election, nineteen ninety-four—not ancient history, but several decades ago. He lost 54 House seats, eight Senate seats.
We're not going to lose 54 House seats, and we may not lose eight Senate seats if this Alaska decoy dance thing can can go the way that it should. Obama in 2010, his midterm election, he lost 64 seats in the House, six Senate seats. We're not going to lose anywhere near that many House seats.
So they make this the Democrats. With press passes, they're not media; they're just Democrats. With press passes, they're making this like it is the absolute most unheard of, unprecedented thing that's ever happened. Oh no, it's not. And by the way, both Clinton, Obama, two years later, both won a second term.
Jeff, I, I, I, a couple of observations as I was at, you know, the whole war room thing. I got to be around the watch party, and first of all, Republicans drink copious amounts of alcohol. Particularly last night. Yes. Oh my!
I've never seen. You know, we talk about that deep, dark depression, excessive misery. I saw it up close and personal last night. I I'm wondering how do we how do we get over this? Because I I think the Republicans, if they're going to have a shot in 2028, they have to start immediately fixing whatever is broken in the party right now.
Yeah, I think there's a lot that's broken in the party. In all candor, and with all due respect to my friend Harry, I think that Ken Paxton was a terrible candidate. Oh, I don't think he was great. I don't think he was great. Yeah, but but I didn't vote too.
I know. I'm going further though. I think he was a terrible candidate. Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio, terrible candidate. Yeah.
Darleen Graham, sweet lady, absolutely should have been appointed to finish out the term. But she, you know, this was the not ready for prime time player, and that was appalling. And unfortunately, in each of those cases. It's President Trump who went all in on those candidates, and then today is saying, "Well, you know, it's because I wasn't on the ballot." But you said a couple of months ago, "In Dallas, you were on the ballot." I think if Republicans are going to win moving forward, they have to figure out exactly what they are, who we are. Are we a populist party?
Are we simply a cult of personality? Are we a conservative party with actual values? And I hate to say it, but I think there are a whole slew of Republicans that really just don't know. You know, Harry. To that point, I think you have to start looking at the actual Republicans and the quality of the candidates that we're putting out.
I mean, Roger Marshall, the incumbent senator in Kansas, did not even have a campaign staff. I mean, this is just jaw dropping. Yeah, it's malpractice, actually. And Jeff gave a great assessment. You're absolutely right, Todd, as well.
But I don't want everybody to get like too hysterical around the country. I know you two are not, because what I said just two minutes ago: Obama recovered and won again just two years later. Clinton recovered again and won two years later, and after two years. Of these crazy Democrats, and look—the first thing this new incoming chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Robert Garcia, the representative—he he texts text messages, he social media posts, lawyer up. They're all in for their investigations.
They're going to be all in for their impeachment. And if we haven't learned anything, every time a president gets impeached. Clinton or Trump, the poll numbers go up. They're going to do what they always do, guys. The Democrats are going to go too far.
I've heard them say if they think they have a mandate, Americans vote for their craziness. They won, okay? They won a midterm election that you always win, and you throw the Iran war and the price of energy, and I think I said it on your show yesterday: the pump pantry. And power bills—that's what the voters voted on. Yeah, go ahead, Jeff.
I was going to say. Yeah, I was going to say to Harry's. Yeah, to Harry's point. Midterm elections, of course, you're going to lose stuff. You're going to lose seats.
Now, the question becomes: What happens over the next two years?
Well. We've got at best gridlock, right? There's nothing of of any consequence that comes out of the Democrats being in control except they continue their collective temper tantrum. They continue to remind everybody how much they hate Trump, and at the same time, they're going to remind people, you know, we don't actually have any plans. We don't have any policies that are going to address energy costs or this issue or that issue.
And they are deluding themselves if they believe that they. Want to mandate where they really are going to push boys and girls sports? That's going to be their issue. People didn't vote for that. They voted against President Trump.
They voted against Republicans. They took it out, as you're saying, in Atlantic County, Harry. My God, anybody with an R next to their name, yeah, yeah, received the punishment. They were good people, really good public servants. Yeah, they paid.
They pay for the sins of someone else. But I really believe the next two years the Democrats will overplay their hand, and the atmosphere will be very good for House Republicans. To strike back for Senate, I don't think the Senate can be picked up if we're down seven. I don't think we'll pick it up, perhaps in in one election, but we'll gain there, and then we're back in the game. I don't think this isn't great.
You know, it's terrible, but we've seen it before, and they lost. The Democrats lost twice as much as what we've lost. I think we're going to be fine. But by the way, I do agree. Candidate quality of our candidates—we've got to do a better job.
Yeah, yeah, we've got to. Jeff, or I want to give you the last word here. This is this is Dr. El Sayed. You know who is basically on the campaign trail, just a regular Joe.
You know who's name happened to be Dr. El Sayed. But last night he sort of dropped the mask. I want, yeah, let's take a listen to Cut Thirty Two. My name is Abdul Rahman Muhammad Saleh, and I am so proud and honored to stand here as your Senator elect from the great state of Michigan.
All right, there you go, Jeff. Cat's final words there. It is amazing to see the the emergence of the red green alliance. It's it's going strong, and there are going to be a lot of people who have voted in ways that are reminiscent of chickens for KFC. Wow, finger finger looking nasty.
That's what that is. You noticed his accent and the way he put the other name in that he that he hitched Hillary Rodham Clinton. Remember that when she won. That's right. All of a sudden, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Now he's Abdul Rahman. Yep. Al Sayed. Yep. We have what?
Yeah, but abadu. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We we get it. All right.
Abdul. Yeah, we get we get it. All right, all right, Jeff, Dad, Terry, Hurley, gentlemen. Always good to hear hear your voices, and thanks for the great political analysis. God bless America.
All right, amen to that. All right, there you go. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Going right to our phones. Got to take a break.
This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, let's go back to the phones. New York, Cindy is on the line. Hi, Cindy, what's on your mind today? Hey, Tad, thanks for taking my call.
Sure. Just say I'm a little bit disappointed in the New York election. Here would be an understatement, but. I think in one way it would be a good thing because we have another two years to show, you know, what those people like voted for, and to let them see what they're going to do. Are they just going to keep impeach and just you know keep?
So I think it's a good thing.
So I'm I'm positive. I'm staying positive. Cindy, isn't it interesting that the Democrats won by basically hijacking the Republican Party's platform? They were campaigning on the very things the Republicans campaigned on years before. All right, and also in New York, I would just went down at three ninety nine a gallon.
So, oh, and I have to correct myself.
So I say Western New York, and I was schooled on this. New York is huge. There's upstate New York, and people have been arguing that's not upstate. And I saw a red map today, mostly red in New York, except for like way down in Suffolk County. I'm sure they didn't put in there, but the cities: Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, all blue.
Oh boy. Yeah, and so we don't really have a voice out here in the boon docks. I mean, we kind of do, but anyway, I will let them see what they're going to do and what they promised to do, which they didn't promise anything, I don't think, really, except impeaching the president, but stuff like that. But anyway, that's all I got to say, and I I am disappointed, but I'm hopeful. Cindy, that's a that's a great way to look at it.
So you've got a positive attitude about all of this. Thank you for calling in. Let's go to Germantown, Tennessee. Paul is listening to us on KWAM. Hi, Paul.
What's on your mind? Hey, Todd. I just have a question. The Islamists and Muslims and communists that won this election have to take an oath of office. And that oath says to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
And yet they campaigned on destroying the Constitution, and they are the domestic enemies.
So, how's that going to work? I wish somebody out there could provide an answer. Has anybody even thought about that?
Well, it's it's a great question. You know, there have been a lot of concern about you know the text that they would be sworn in on. There is no law that says you have to be sworn in on a Bible, which surprised me. I personally think that they ought to be sworn in on a Bible. I believe I believe we're a Christian nation, so no doubt there's going to be a big deal made about El Saeed taking the oath of office using the Quran.
But but to your point, can An elected leader be punished for violating, you know, their oath of office, and I think, honestly, Paul, a lot of people just don't take oh, you know, an oath or something like that, a compact. I don't think they take those seriously anymore. Yeah, it looks like it is kind of like what the marriage vows have turned out to be. Is it just a formality? Because even if it's the Koran or whatever.
They're taking an oath, and they they've already campaigned on. Not doing the oath, so the opposite, destroying the Constitution, and they are the enemy from within.
So we know that.
So I don't, I don't get it, Paul. I will say this: it is a, it's a, it's a crime. I mean, it's against the law to violate your oath if you're an elected official and you violate your oath of office. You can go to jail over something like that. And again, I just, I don't think it's been enforced, at least not in modern political history.
So maybe, maybe that's something. You know, we need to take a look at. Yeah, it doesn't look like it. Yeah, I hope somebody listening can maybe provide an answer. I don't know, Paul.
I appreciate it. You got it. Hey, thank you for listening, and we certainly appreciate your comments. Our telephone number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Again, that's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

Well, I want to go right away to our Patriot Mobile NewsMaker line, and we're honored to have a very special guest with us. Charlie Hancher is now Congressman-elect, winning his race in Tennessee's fifth congressional district. Charlie, good to have you with us, and congratulations. Good to be on, sir, and and thank you for that.
Well, I have to imagine it was a little bit of a of a nail biter night for Republicans across the nation, even here in Tennessee. What was that experience like for you? Oh, it was it was kind of nail biting. There was a time when Chaz Moldor was up on me, and and that was. But we knew we knew why it was.
It was when a large part of Shelby County came in, and as the night progressed, we started to come even and gain a lead, and and then in the end, we prevailed. No doubt that it's it was really a good overall, a very good night for Republicans in Tennessee. That is certainly not the case around the nation, and and I'm wondering, you know, coming to terms with the fact that Republicans are going to be in the minority. What what are you being told to prepare for when the new Congress convenes?
Well, I don't know exactly, but you know, the the majority party picks the committee chairs. And that's where a lot of the work is done, and the makeup of the committees is related to which party is majority, which party is minority. But so that's going to be difficult. But I do think there's going to be some things that I can do. There's some bipartisan issues I'm interested in that we can make some progress on, and I'm absolutely committed to providing great constituent services.
Well, I think that's a huge thing, and I've always I've always found that the the members of Congress who are taking care of the good people back home usually get to spend a lot of years up on Capitol Hill. when When you look at you know some of the first things you guys are going to have to do, we understand Speaker Mike Johnson not running for a leadership position. Minority leader looks like either Jim Jordan or and or Steve Scalise will be among those. Competing for that, any any favorite? Who would you?
Who do you think you you know should lead the Republicans there in in the House?
Well, I'm just trying to get my feet under me. I want to get on the ground there and kind of see what the environment's like and hear from the candidates and try to get a better feel. I'm not really making a commitment at this point, but we do need to rally the troops. We'll be the minority party and. I still want to try to get something done because that's that's part of the reason for some of these election outcomes.
Is because we just weren't we didn't get anything done in D.C. and I want to change that. What do you think the party needs to do to to turn this thing around?
Well, we need to address the the issues that are important to the constituents, and the number one issue. In the in the fifth congressional district, and I saw it or heard it everywhere I went, and we felt it on the farm, was cost of living, cost of production, and cost of diesel. I mean, we're we're we're right now we're paying some diesel surcharges on on supplies that are delivered to the farm.
So I know firsthand it's it's tough. I mean, it the economy is is not in good shape when you look at it from the average person's point of view, or that. From a small business point of view, we're in tough times right now. When you you look at you know again, really almost a rebuilding of the party. I mean, these are pretty devastating losses.
I think in Mississippi, they could end up losing that Senate seat down south of of Tennessee. What do you think? You know, again, affordability, one of them. But what do the Republicans need to do to regain the trust and the respect of the American people? They need to be the people's party.
They need to listen to the constituents. We need to begin to address issues as they come to us. And I don't, I don't think we've been very effective in doing that. If we'd you ignore that basic principle, then this is what happens. Charlie Hanser joining us on our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
He is the Congressman-elect for Tennessee's fifth congressional district. Of course, those were redrawn districts, and Congressman David Costoff winning his race. State Senator Brent Taylor winning the ninth congressional district race. How important is it, Charlie, for for you guys in the in the Tennessee delegation to work together to really help fix? What's broken in, for example, places like Memphis, and I know you represent a large swath of Memphis.
Yeah, it's it's absolutely critical that we work together. I think it. Excuse me, it's going to be one of the best any any any congressional delegation of any state.
So we need to work together, and it's my aim. Whether people voted for me or not, provide the best constituent services I can, and represent people. It's called the House of Representatives, and that's what my I plan on doing. I plan on representing them. Tennessee's fifth congressional district is the best in my building.
We've we've been hearing from a lot of people that have been talking, and you know they brought up the economy. They brought up you know issues of like affordability, and of course, the other is the Iran War. What is your take on the war, and do we need to be wrapping that up?
Well, I mean, the war is kind of central to this whole thing because it's affected the economy. That's what's driven the prices up. That's what's driven the fuel prices up.
So, absolutely, we need to close the war down as quick as we can. If we meet the objectives, and the two clear objectives we need to meet is no nuclear weapons, and also we've got to somehow reduce this stranglehold on the global oil market. And I think we can do that if we unleash American independence, and we also we start. Building some new refineries. The reason we're having to import all this diesel is because we can't refine it here on a very rapid manner.
So that's the crux of the matter.
So yes, we need to we need to close the war out as soon as practical once we meet those those two objectives. All right.
Well, Charlie, before we let you go, I hate to break it to you. You know, if the the party in charge, they get the the choice office space.
So here's hoping you don't get stuck in a basement without a window.
So I hope you at least get a window.
Well, that that'd be nice. But you know, I'm not going to be in office much. I may be sleeping there, but otherwise, I'm going to be working.
Well, I'm sure that the good people of the fifth are going to appreciate that because I think you're, you know, to your point, being back in the district and taking care of constituent services, that is, that's the job, and a lot of times that you know, folks don't do that and they don't get reelected.
So, so we absolutely right. All right, Charlie. Best of luck to you. I know you're probably wiped out. It was a long night for a lot of folks around the country, and we wish you nothing but the best up on Capitol Hill.
Thank you, sir. All right, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Charlie Hatcher, newly elected to Congress, representing one of the few Republicans who won yesterday, winning the fifth congressional district in Tennessee. Let's go to the phones here, Sugarland, Texas. Melissa, listening to us on Patriot Talk nine twenty.
Melissa, talk to me, Todd. Hey. How are you this afternoon?
Well, I'm. You know, I'm on the back end of a six pack of Dr. Pepper, so I'm doing pretty good right now. That's maybe what I need to do. Then I am so devastated and disappointed.
Words cannot even do it justice. Born and raised in Texas, and never in my life did I think Texas would flip blue. You see, that's what I was curious about. Um, and again, it was just so shocking the magnitude of the losses there in Texas. Huge, absolutely huge, and it's a scary thing because you know the Democrats all they want to do is change everything.
They're not about America and Americans. They're about everyone who's not from America and aren't American.
So I have a feeling they're really not going to do us justice in any sense of the word. Yeah, that's that would be the concern that I see because even Governor Abbott was very hesitant about cracking down on these, you know, Islamic communities that the the the the giant mosques that are being built. It seems as though Republicans just did not want to go down that path.
Well, and I wish they would have. Sugarland is literally like a little Islam, if you will, and there are mosques going up everywhere in Sugarland. Is it changing the flavor of the of the town and the the culture, the vibe of the town? Definitely, in a bad way. How so?
Well, I mean, I think that people who have been in Sugarland for years and years, I I was born in Houston, but came to Sugarland about 25 years ago, and Sugarland was just the place to go. It's a nice little quaint town, a suburb of Houston, if you will. And I feel like the people that have been here like forever are really scared to continue to be here with what's going on.
Well, Melissa, you hang in there and look. It's um, it's going to be tough, but we're going to get through it together. And and who knows? I think when people finally get a taste of what it's like when Sharia is implemented, and I have to believe in some of those communities, Sharia will be implemented. I think hopefully, folks will will start waking up.
Y'all give you the last word there. I hope so. Because if that's the case, I think we're all going to go running at top speed.
Well, come on over to Tennessee. We're still red.
So, well, thanks so much, Todd. Have a great day. All right, Melissa. You too. Thanks for calling.
Let's stay in Texas. Tom is calling from Houston. Patriot Talk nine twenty. Hey, Tom. What's up?
Hello, hello. I am backing up. Apparently.
Well, no, that's another guy. Back. Oh, gotcha.
Okay, but I am showing up to work, so you know somebody's got to pay for all the illegals. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Um, this foolishness going on in Alaska and everywhere else. If we think that that's the only place that had something going on, I was watching the reports.
Tom, Tom, hold on. I got to. We can't hear you. All we hear is that guy. That's either backing up or whatever.
So, can we put you on a hold for just a second? We'll take a quick break, and when we come back, maybe the the guy will be finished. That's a wide load backing up there.

We'll be right back. All right, welcome back. Let's get right to the phone lines here. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Nathan in Birmingham, Alabama.
Hi, Nathan. What's on your mind today? Hey Todd, you know I've just wanted to call. I'm a 24 year old guy in Birmingham, Alabama, and I'm just wondering, you know, at this point, what does the Republican Party really even stand for anymore? I mean, other than the social issues and the values that you know we all hold, you know, I don't think anybody really talks about the deficit anymore.
You know, we're looking at Two trillion dollars a year from the big, beautiful bill, and you know it's just we're just spending more and more money. And I'm just wondering, you know, what's really the incentive other than you know I don't agree with anything that Democrats do, but you know, at this point, we're going to bankrupt the country if we keep voting Republican. Yeah, it's it's a fair point you raise, Nathan. And I think that's one of the discussions we have to have immediately: is what exactly does it mean to be a Republican? And the spending part of and and hear me on this, Nathan.
They actually watered down a lot of the culture war issues on the pro life issue, traditional marriage. All of that has been completely watered down.
So if we're going to say that we're going to be tax and spend, you know, Republicans, well, what is the difference between that? And a Democrat, it's a fair point you raise, and that's you know as far as the war. I mean, I know everyone's concerned about gas prices, but I mean, I feel like you know everything I know about economics. I have an economics degree, you know. I mean.
Everything I know about it is the more the government spends and the more they print money, the more inflation happens, and that's what's really I think affecting the cost of living. Not you know the war is a bad thing, and I don't love it, but you know I think it was a necessary thing we had to do. But I think everyone's focused on that when they really should be focusing on you know the debt. And I don't think under the Trump administration that's ever been a concern in those terms. No, no, you're absolutely right.
It it has not, and and Nathan, we've got to get a handle on that. I I appreciate you calling in, and and thank you for the great comments on our YouTube stream. Give us a holler back one of these days, Nathan, because I like the way you're thinking, and and party leaders need to hear from folks like Nathan to understand. Hey. There are people that care, really care about what this party stands for.
Let's go to Chuck in Gainesville, Georgia. Hi, Chuck. What's on your mind? I suggest everybody: God, guns, and gold; Bible, bullets, and beans. Bibles, buy them in different languages by plenty of means to feed people that are not going to be ready.
Because it's not that gold and silver is worth so much more; the dollars worth so much less, cause of the the the printing counterfeit money. We're in a fiat economy. I mean, it's just counterfeit, like like Germany was, and I'm just saying. Be ready for whatever may come because it's going to knock on the door soon. Always pray, but buy Bibles in different languages so you can pass them out.
Chuck, it is. It's it's great. It's great guidance, and you can't go wrong by by reading the good book. I can tell you that much, Chuck. Thank you for that call, ladies and gentlemen.
Some final thoughts here as we wrap up the day. And yeah, look, it's it's going to be difficult, no doubt about it. But you know what? We've been down this path before.
So, do not despair. You know, don't get depressed. Don't get downtrodden. We know that God is still on the throne, and we know that things are going to work out at and at the end. No, no doubt about it.
So, I want you to hang in there, and we're going to fight the good fight together every single day on this radio program. None of that changes. Absolutely none of that changes, and we are going to win the day. It may take some time, and we're going to have hills and. Valleys and everything in between, and that's okay because we're going to make it together.
So, folks, toddsterns. dot com. If you haven't downloaded our podcast, I want you to do that. Also, get our free newsletter comes out once a week. You'll be able to stay up to date on all of the big stories of the day.
