The Principal Toyota Studios. It's morning in Memphis with Todd Starnes. And happy election day, everybody! Welcome to the mighty 990. I'm Todd Stearns, and just a word of caution to all of you across the mid south: no need to change your radio dial, no need to change your radio settings.

This is the place that you are going to want to be all day as we await the election returns that will be coming in later tonight. We have wall to wall coverage on all of our programs. Today and we're going to give you the best local coverage right here on the Mighty Nine Ninety, as well as all of our social media platforms. We put Red Bull on our Fruit Loops this morning just for you, ladies and gentlemen.

So buckle up; it is going to be a wild day, not just here in the Mid South, but really across America.

Now, in well, just about seven minutes ago, the polls officially opened in Tennessee and Mississippi. At seven thirty, the polls will open in Arkansas.

So you guys have just a few more moments before, so you can you know grab an extra cup of coffee if you're down at the McDonald's, and you'll be able to go and start your voting earlier. Here's what we want to hear from you today: We want to know what the early polling numbers look like.

So, are there a lot of people in line? What was the voting process like for you? Give us a call this morning. Even we don't. Need you to stay on for you know forty five minutes.

We just want to know what is it like at the polling station where you went to cast your ballot this morning. Our telephone number is nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. I'm going to repeat that again: nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. A lot of moving parts today. We also understand the federal government sending in election watchers, so they will be watching over the polls specifically.

Here in Shelby County. I will tell you this: that a lot of the conservative pollsters that I know that have been very bullish about the Republicans and their chances are not so bullish as of this morning, and they are concerned about turnout. And they say if there is not a massive Republican turnout today, could be a bad day for the Republicans.

So again, there's a reason for you to get out and vote right now before you head into work. Also, just a word of warning. Today there is a very very dangerous storm system moving through the mid south. Laura Huckabee just had some details on that. She's going to keep you posted, but just be careful because the storm threat is going to get worse as the afternoon and the evening wear on.

So just be aware of that. We have some great guests coming up. Scott Golden, the chair of the Tennessee Republican Party, will be here. Also, we're going to talk to Delicia Ballinger. She was With us on the national show yesterday, talking about why she, as a black Memphian, has become a Trump supporter, and then we have an interview which we're about to toss to with with Senator Marsha Blackburn.

She dropped by the studios last night before her big rally, and we had an in depth conversation. Here is that conversation with Senator Blackburn.

Well, barring the rapture or a giant asteroid hitting the entire state of Tennessee, our next. Governor is going to be Marsha Blackburn. I mean, that is the bottom line here, and we are so excited to have Senator Marsha Blackburn, soon to be Governor Marsha Blackburn, in studio with us. Senator, good to see you. And I'm just—I have to tell you, I'm very impressed because you are awake, alert.

You've got a lot of energy, and I don't know how you guys do it out there on the campaign trail.

Well, it is energizing to me to be talking to so many Tennesseans, and we do it every single. Day, and hear from them about their hopes and dreams and what they want to see happen here in Tennessee. And we have had a great campaign and are really excited about tomorrow. We've had great volunteers. I say my prayer.

Warriors have been out there every day for us, and our door knockers. We've knocked on over one million doors, and we've had. Tens of thousands of phone calls that have been made. We've got poll workers that are out, and it is so exciting to be here at the finish line. the The early voting numbers are just off the charts, insane.

I hope you understand. The most important number is here in Shelby County. We had the most people coming out to vote on election day. I suspect a lot of those people were voting for you, but the work is not done yet. We have to get out the vote.

Today, that is exactly right. You know what we have to realize: there is one Republican on the ballot, one conservative on the ballot, and that is me. And it's so vitally important for people to realize that there, if they want low taxes, if they want pro-life, pro-family policies, if they want to make certain that we continue the Memphis Safe Task Force. Then there's only one person on that ballot that will do that for them. I had a chance to talk with Speaker Mike Johnson.

He was in North Carolina on his way to Texas, and he is very bullish about the chances for Republicans across the nation. But he said the key is really getting out the vote. He stressed the the importance of not taking anything for granted. And I think there's also a message in there for people who are Republicans who are a little upset at their party right now. And I get that.

But at the end of the day, we've got to get out and make sure that the Republicans maintain control of the House and the Senate. That's right. We have to have control of the House and the Senate, and to implement America First policies, you have to have control of the governorships. Right. And my opponent, my Democrat opponent, is one of these DSA Democrat Socialist candidates, and as governor, I will not stand for these.

Communist, socialist, Islamist policies to be implemented in our state. And Todd, you know, I think it's so important for people to realize that in my case, where you've got two independents, if you vote for an independence, you are independent. You are, in essence, voting for the Democrat. No doubt about it, and and again, when you look at her policies, they are not much different than Abdul El Saeed's in Michigan or James Talarico in in Texas. They're just it doesn't matter if they're running for a state office or a federal office.

These are very dangerous people to be putting in places and positions of power. Exactly right, and what they're trying to do is to get a tow hole in states and pick off a race here. Or there, and then have these socialists that are going to be elected, and of course, in when you look at the Michigan Senate race, my goodness, what you're seeing there with someone who is so extreme and pro-Palestine, these Islamist policies—that that is something that even the Democrats now are saying this is. Far too radical a candidate, and I wonder. And I want to compare what happened in Michigan because Haley Stevens got kicked out of the Democrat Party.

That happened here to John DeBerry in Memphis, a longtime state representative who became a Republican. And I am wondering, as you've been out campaigning, are are you sensing that maybe even some of these moderate, maybe conservative Democrats are going to be voting Republican today? I feel like many of them are going to vote Republican, especially. When you look at Shelby County and the Memphis Safe Task Force, and the great work we have done with helping make Memphis safe, with cutting crime in half here in Memphis, and indeed getting crime down, all the stats across all of West Tennessee have been so good. And Todd, I think you're going to see a lot of people that are independents and Democrats who.

Are appreciative of having a safer community. Cross and vote for me. I think they're just tired of the chaos. Yes. Personally, though, I mean, does it anger you when people like Jerry Green are out there?

And I mean, we're having very dangerous people picked up and taken off the streets. We're finding hundreds of children that have been missing. Without the task force, those kids would still be missing somewhere. Those kids would be exposed to danger. And yet, your opponents across the board seem to be somewhat dis.

It's amazing to me that all of my opponents are opposed to the Memphis Safe Task Force. I did a roundtable in Nashville this morning before we came west, and Cash Patel was there. And I was looking at the stats for the Memphis Safe Task Force before that meeting started, and you know what, Todd. We had eight arrests yesterday. Eight that were violent criminals that were apprehended, and we found one more missing child.

That brings us to 199 children that are missing. Children that these gangs and cartels have been holding. These children, and the Memphis Safe Task Force is freeing these children and returning them to their families. How can anyone? How can anyone oppose that?

I mean, these are these are questions I think the average voters are asking as well. I I want to look ahead because many in the media, I know the Hill dot com had a piece out there already predicting who's on your short list to be to be the next senator. And if you are elected governor, that's going to be a big decision, a first big decision you have to make. Have you have you put together a short list? No, I'm focused on the election and winning.

And election night is going to be a great celebration. All right, Farina, I'm not going to push you know. Of elections, so we'll have time to we'll have time to talk about all of that in the coming days. I'm just wondering for you personally, though. I mean, this is really kind of the the really coming to another junction juncture in your life as a as a lawmaker.

I mean, coming up from the state house to Congress to the Senate, and now the governorship. What's that experience like for you and your family? It is such a rewarding experience, and I feel like that, you know. God kind of charts your path, and you don't know where this is going to lead you. You know, it's your Job to be obedient to whatever that path is, and my family is incredibly supportive because they know this is something that I'm called to, and they know how focused I am on making certain that freedom is there for future generations.

I say there's the big five: faith, family, freedom, hope, and opportunity. And if you get those things right, a lot of other things are going to work their way. Out, and so we're going to continue to keep our focus on opening these, opening. My family, our focus is making certain that we leave things in better shape than we found them. That we open doors of opportunity for children and for our grandchildren, and that everybody has the opportunity to live their version of the American dream.

You know, it's funny. I, it's always important for me to say this, but I endorsed you, and I always get your opponents always ask me that, even in the primary.

Well, why can't you? Just endorsed me. I said you didn't ask me, Senator Marsha Blackburn did, and I appreciate you asking. Sure, I was going to endorse you anyway. I think you've done a tremendous job for the state of Tennessee, and I'm excited to see what you're going to do for for our state in the governor's mansion.

I am so excited about it. We have we're a well led, well governed state, and Governor Haslam, Governor Lee, have done a great job. We've got a good foundation. Our General Assembly has done a good job, and when you Talk about everything that President Trump is sending back to the states, whether it is healthcare, education, pardon me, infrastructure. Nuclear power permitting regulation, all coming back to the states.

Then now is our time to do a reset, just like we did after I led that state income tax battle and killed that. Let's do a reset. Grab this power and put our state on a conservative track for the next two or three decades. We should be America's conservative leader. All right, folks, you've heard the message.

The Closing arguments from Senator Marsha Blackburn. You have a job to do, which is to get out and vote and be smart with your vote, ladies and gentlemen. This is a very important election, quite frankly, a consequential election, not just for Tennessee but really for the entire country as well. Senator, good luck to you, and we look forward to calling you governor very soon. Thank you.

We're excited about it. Thank you. All right, we'll be right back. All right, it is going to be a stormy day here in the mid South, literally and figuratively. Hello, everybody.

I'm Todd Starnes, and thank you for listening to the Mighty 990, your number one political news station here in the mid South. Polls open well almost for a half an hour in Shelby County here in Tennessee, as well as Fayette County. By the way, Kevin, sending us a note that there are already big lines in Fayette County. Also, hearing there are some big lines forming in Germantown as well. Give us a call.

We want to hear from you. What is happening at the polling place you're at? What was that experience like voting today? Give us a call. nine zero one two six zero five nine two six That's nine zero one two six zero five nine two six.

Saw that O.G. Bill called, and maybe he'll give us a holler back. We have a lot happening in a. Addition to politics, and this is a heads up for all of you folks that are high school football fans in Memphis. Memphis Shelby County Schools now implementing ticket limits on ticket sales for future sporting events, and the reason why is that the kids are fighting.

I mean, insane fights. The school district says there were at least five separate fights during Friday night's game between South. Went in Germantown. We've got someone posted the video of those fights, and it looked like something that was happening overseas. I've I've never seen anything.

It's just insane. But the the kids are acting like hellions, and there were there were about three thousand people in attendance at the games. It was pretty bad. They had to call in the Tennessee Highway Patrol to help put down the the disturbances there at the.

Southwind Germantown football game.

So anyway, school district says they're going to cap ticket sales to manage crowd sizes. They're also looking at additional security measures. Here's a thought, just a thought: if you've got the thugs and they're out there fighting and beating each other up, why not just I don't know, arrest them and put them in jail. Just, just a thought, just something to think about.

So, anyway, just be aware of that. They are now going to limit the number of people who can actually go to a football game. Here's the problem. Again, here's the problem. You're punishing the wrong people.

You, you've got to start going after the thugs and making sure they get punished. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Our telephone number. That's nine zero one two six zero five nine. Two six.

Also, want to give you a heads up. This is a great event happening today.

So, if you need a breather from politics, the Dixon Gallery and Gardens offering a mini masters program for children ages two through four. The session starts at ten thirty this morning. It goes on till about eleven fifteen. Kids are going to be able to participate in art and movement things and activities and nature. Related activities.

Admission eight dollars. If you are a Dixon member, it is free of charge. Registration is required.

So again, that's the Dixon Gallery and Gardens today nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Stephen Miller issued a a final call to action for voters. We're going to get to that comment a little bit later on in the program. I wasn't watching the clock there. We're going to be taking a quick break.

Coming up, we're going to be also talking to Scott Golden, the chair of the Tennessee Republican Party. Also, getting a report from the Secretary of State's office. They are set up and monitoring for any any problems at the polling places around the state of Tennessee, and they're going to be all over that.

So we'll keep you updated if there are any reports. Normally, Tennessee elections were pretty quiet around the. Parts they do a great job of getting people in and voting and making sure only citizens are voting. All right, again our number nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Give us a call.

Let us know what's happening at the polls. DeWalt nailers are now at Lowe's. For a limited time, save on everything you need for your next job, like the new DeWalt 20 Volt Max 18 Gauge nailer. Stop by Lowe's or visit Lowe's.com today while supplies last. Selection varies by store.

Well, Delicia Ballinger joins us, and we had you on the show a while back when you told your big story. I mean, you're a very well known journalist in Memphis, and you ended up losing your job as a result of supporting President Trump and the Memphis Safe Task Force. Good to see you back. Thank you for having me. I'm such a pleasure to be here.

Thank you. So, I'm just I'm just wondering after that whole experience, because I mean, that was You know, it's always a traumatic experience going through something like that. What has life been like for Delicia since that day? It's been absolutely incredible. You know, since then, you know, I had a chance to meet the president.

He came in March to give his, you know, supportive voice with the Memphis Safe Task Force, and I was honored enough to sit at that roundtable with President Trump.

So I had a chance to meet him, which was absolutely life. Changing, he gave my family and I one of the most incredible experiences that you know we've ever had. And you know, since then, I've made several trips to the White House. I've, you know, went to the egg roll. I've even had Mother's Day with him.

So I'm, you know, I'm very happy to be great friends with this administration. I'm curious because we are watching what happened in. What's happening in other parts of the country? Happening now in Michigan, where a number of of black voters, many of them are still Democrats, but they're saying, "No, we're we're voting for the Republican this go around." I'm wondering if you're seeing that at at at any level here in the state of Tennessee. Absolutely, I see definitely a red surge within black voters.

I feel like we're all tired and we definitely want change. And through my influence, and definitely through how President Trump is really treating. Me, I want to show my people, you know that. He cares about us. He wants what's best for us, and also just through knowledge, to show them that hey, if we make the right choices, then we can see actually see what is happening here in America.

So I'm very very grateful to be a great conservative voice to show the the good part of or the good side of the Republican Party. What was taking me through that transformation for you to becoming a conservative? How did that happen? Yes. So immediately after that.

Video of me going viral, talking about what happened and getting fired from the job. I immediately flipped because here's the thing. I'm telling the truth about something that has happened that he did. Why be condemned for it? This is the first time, you know.

And I've been, you know, every since I had the chance to vote and going to the machines. Right? I never knew who I was voting for. I just knew to vote blue, no matter who. I never understood it, but when that happened.

I immediately flipped because I'm like, this is someone that actually took action for the first time in my life that I could actually see in front of my face that affected my children, and so I, it was it was only right. Because I see the action, and and for me it was only imperative and only right, and then considering the fact that the first black people were Republicans, so I'm going back to my roots, and so I'm just very proud to not only go back to my roots, but to actually be with a party that works for the American people. Robert Church, who was a great Memphian, one of the very first black millionaires in in the South, from Memphis, and started his son, I believe, started. the The Republican Party, and the sole purpose was to register blacks to vote. Absolutely, and a lot of people did not know when they came to Robert R.

Church. He actually saved Memphis. You know, we were after the Depression, Memphis economically was at the bottom.

So it was a black man that saved Memphis. When you are talking about Bill Street and all sorts of different parts of Memphis, it was Robert R. Church that saved Memphis. It was a black Republican, and so. I'm very, very happy to to get back to that and and express it.

So I'm really, really happy. And of course, the great Tom Lee, who was just a guy, you didn't even know how to swim, he was down on the Mississippi River. He saw a ship going down, a boat going down, and and was credited with saving many, many lives. And of course, the beautiful downtown park in Memphis, named in his honor. He was invited by a Republican president to come and be honored.

At the White House, I mean, this is what back many, many years ago, right after the turn of the last century. Absolutely, when you think about history, and when it comes down to the Republicans, the Republicans have been the saviors, even all the way down to the slaves being free. It was the Republicans that did that. Shout out to Abraham Lincoln that that freed the slaves. Like it was, it was because of of of them.

It was. Because of them, we are who we are today. Even all the way down to Juneteenth, you know, it was the Republicans that did that. Here's what bothers me: is that there is a rich, vibrant history, and that history is not being taught in the classrooms. Instead, it's this idea of, oh, you are oppressed, and there's nothing you can do about it, and this white guy over here is your oppressor.

You know, that's the biggest misconception. You know, one thing that I've come Realize, and this is just you know. My stance on it in my life. I'm the American Dream, you know. Um, I was pregnant and homeless at one point with my child, but I used my resources.

I used the opportunities that were given to me by America, by the state of Tennessee, and here I am. I'm I'm here now. I'm you know I'm homeowner. You know my children have a beautiful place to live, and it's all because of the opportunities that America has given me, and those same. Opportunities can be given to anyone.

You just have to apply yourself. It doesn't have anything to do with race. It's all about taking those opportunities and making it work for you. I love this. Delicia Ballinger is with us.

She lives in Memphis, Tennessee, is becoming a really a national voice in the Republican Party. You know, I it hasn't come without its challenges, and there were two incidents that happened. One recently, yes, at one of my favorite burger joints. Not too far from here. Yes, Huey's.

Tell me what happened at the Huey's Burger Joint.

So you know, this particular what for whatever reason it seems like when I have on my Trump gear, I get a lot of a lot of kickback from people. And this particular day, I'm in full Trump gear, and I'm walking to get my food, and some black woman she comes out and says, "Oh, well, you must be dressed up as a racist for Halloween." And I'm like, I stopped in my tracks and I. Turn around, and I'm like, "Well, you must have on a fat suit because you look like Lord Farquaad." So, you know, um, I guess we're both dressed up, but no, you know, um, I get a lot of kickback, a lot of kickback, uh, when I'm showing my support for the president. Wow! And so, and you were at the the airport in Nashville.

Yes. What happened there?

So, I'm actually on the way to my car, and I'm on the shuttle, and there was this, um. Transvestite, or Transformers, if if you will, you call them transformers. I call them transformers. Dudes who think they're women. Yeah.

Okay. Got it. And so as I'm walking up, I'm seeing they have like this look of disgust on their faces. I'm wearing my baguette, and I'm not worried about it. But as we're approaching the shuttle, they just all of a sudden just jump in front of me and cut me off.

And I'm like, "Hey, excuse you." And so we get in the shuttle, and he looks back at me and say, "Hey, pretty disgusting. You support that man?" I said, "Oh." Well, it's pretty disgusting that you have balls under your skirt, sir. Oh my! Hello. Wow, how did he respond to that?

You know, his because there was some exchange of words, and so the friend was like, "Hey, you guys just chill." I'm like, "Well, tell your tell your homeboy to chill," you know. Yeah.

Um, and so and that was that was pretty much it, you know. But but I'm like, hey, you know, just because you see me with my Trump gear on, it doesn't give you the right to insult me because I'm still human, and I will I will clap back and I will defend my presence.

Well, you are from Memphis. I mean, we have a history. Doing that, so that's that's whenever people get upset with me for doing that on the radio show, I'm like, hey, Memphis, what can I, you know, you know, our family's from White Haven, that's right, we're from the we're from the same hood, let's say from the same hood, yeah, exactly. I I I'm curious when you're out there and there's you're out on the campaign trail, you've been doing a lot of campaigning for candidates. What is it going to take, and is it working?

Are we starting to see more minority Joining the Republican side, absolutely. I as I I feel that there is a big surge. I I even two of my aunts that have been hard hard liberals, hard Democrats. You're talking about in their seventies, they just voted red. Really, they just voted red.

So when you're talking about changing the tide from our elders, especially when they've been voting blue their whole entire lives. Yes, absolutely. That we're seeing, we're seeing the change. We're tired. We're tired, and for the first time, we can actually see change, and we want that.

But you know, considering where we are, I know here in Memphis, we're very, very blue. But at the same time, we still want more, and because of that, I do see a tide changing for sure. My, this is exciting. And so, your son is doing well. You know, I know he plays what in the marching band.

Yes. Actually, just won his first competition last night. Is that right? Yes. So shout out to Havenview Middle School.

They just won their first competition last night for the Battle of the Bands. Hoping I've been told he may be getting a promotion soon, where he's going to be the section leader for the trumpet section.

So I'm just so excited. He's just been just flourishing. Oh, good for him! I know Dylan's ears just perked up because Dylan was a trump. He was in the marching band at U of M.

Okay, trumpet. Awesome. Yes, trumpet player. Are like absolutely the best. I I wish I played in a band.

I'm actually living through my son, but he's um I'm just so proud and you know and I'm just so grateful you know with all of this that my children get a chance to see their mom doing great things. All right, and that is just a bit of the interview we did with Delicia. If you'd like to listen to the entire interview, you can download that over at ToddStearns.com. Real quick here, we have been asking how. The polling is going.

Voting is going. Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Let's go to Kevin calling in this morning. Kevin, what can you tell us? I tell you what.

I've been in Rossville and Pipperton this morning. My home area, Fayette County, is turning out. We had about a hundred people or so in line at seven fifteen, just at my precinct in Pipperton. Republicans are turning out for the county. I hope Shelby County is doing the same.

I'm heading up to Hardeman and then heading back to Shelby. But I'll tell you what, I think everyone has underestimated the Republican turnout because it is packed. Kevin, we appreciate the update. We're going to have to leave it there, my friend. Give us a holler back, and again, we want to hear from you as well.

Nine zero one two six zero five nine two six. Coming up, got to take a quick break. We're honored to have Scott Golden joining us, chair of the Tennessee Republican Party. We'll be right back. All right, want to go right away to our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line here on the Mighty Nine Ninety, Tennessee GOP Chair Scott Golden with some of the coolest bumper music.

That's a nice little intro for you there, Scott. Hope I loved it. I loved it. Fantastic! It's election day, so everybody should be excited.

Yeah, absolutely. And Scott, I know this has been a it's just been a weird, wild election cycle. Great, great turnout and early voting. What can you tell us? Any any updates on what's happening today?

So, I mean, you know, obviously, I was listening to Kevin before said you know there were some people in line. Early and and I and I that's what I'm kind of hearing across the state is, you know, there's a lot of people that kind of prefer to vote in their local community center, their local church. It's mainly rule. It's you know, it's something that I know that we're going to be looking at a lot in the next couple of years about you know how early voting is is done. You know there are, you know certainly there are 24 early voting locations across Shelby County, so it's it's a much easier process.

But you get out into these rural areas like a like a Fayette or a Hardeman, and and you know you're it is more difficult to get to an early voting location, so you end up having to wait on election day. And so there's going to be a lot of discussions next time around about you know if we we need to be making this easier and it certainly needs to be more fair. If it's easy in one county and difficult in another county, we're going to have to bring some parity to the system. But overall, you know I love it. 7:00 a.m.

people are standing in front of their little church. To to cast that vote and and make their voice heard on on an election day, so you know you you got to marvel at the the. How wonderful our 250th anniversary of America is, Scott. I know you probably didn't hear the very first segment we had, Marcia Blackburn on. I said, barring the rapture or a giant asteroid taking out the entire state, she's going to be our next governor.

I don't think there's there's a lot of doubt there.

However, last night, Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato over UVA in Virginia, they actually now say that the Tennessee. Is in play and maybe leaning Democrat. What are you hearing out of that race between Brent Taylor and Justin Pearson?

Well, it's. I mean, look at the end of the day, they're. It's going to be close. There is no doubt. I feel very good about where Brent is.

I think we did pretty pretty well in early voting. Even again, as we're talking about how easy it was for Shelby County to get there versus how hard it is for some of the rural areas to get there. We're anticipating a very good vote across all of those counties today. But yeah, it look it's going to be close. Every vote's going to matter.

I think that one's going to be a pretty later in the night call, just because. You know, you know. Obviously, with the Supreme Court decision that that required that you could not use race as a basis at all for any congressional districts, the lines had to change. They were they were drawn the way they were drawn, and that that district runs, you know, from Elvis Presley Boulevard to you know eight forty in Middle Tennessee, right, and and all the way down to North Alabama.

So that it's a it's a sprawling district for all the way across, and there's a lot of rural areas.

Some of the biggest counties in the state are there.

So those folks didn't have the opportunity to early vote. They will be voting today, and I think if if that comes in, Brent Taylor is going to be the next congressman for the ninth district. How do you feel really good about all the other congressional races out there? Of course, Chaz Molder, Charlie Hancher, one of the other big ones. Matt Van Ebb and Scott DeCherley.

Yeah, they look. You know, we're we're not taking any of these for granted, and and I apologize in advance to everybody out there. You will be getting emails probably on the hour. You'll probably be getting text on the hour. You know, this is you know everything today is about getting those last few Republicans to the polls all the way up to get you in line at six fifty five.

Right. That's we we. Want people to get out and vote, so we're going to be doing everything we can, pushing them out to vote, volunteer phone calls, all of these things.

So I hope people do take advantage of it. I mean, that's what. If we do that, I feel comfortable about it. But I mean, you can't take anything for granted in this environment. Scott, the independent candidate David Hatley.

Any concern he may be he may be shearing off votes from from from Marcia, and and again in a in a close race that could get a little interesting. Yeah, I mean, I I think that's that. You know, this is this has been an unusual election cycle that you that you do have an independent. I mean, there are thirteen. Independence on the ballot, but but he's the one that spent you know in excess of ten to twenty million dollars, whatever it is.

So it's a little unusual this time around. I mean, sure he is he is. There are going to be people that are voting for him. In fact, there you know there probably be some people voting for him that that might not have come out to vote if if he wasn't on the ballot, right? That there are.

There's an audience out there for people that just you know don't like either of the parties and upset the system, and all of these things. But but I I think at the end of the day it'll be it'll be somewhat marginalized and there and again there's other independents out there. Sure, Jerry Green has an independent that's taking votes away from her. Right. So on the on the balance, you know, it'll be it'll it'll be some votes, but I don't think it's going to upset the directory that Marsha Blackburn is going to be the next governor of the state of Tennessee.

Scott, the the computer is going to cut us off here in just a second. We. Really appreciate you coming on the show, giving us an update. It's been a fun election cycle, no doubt about that. But at the end of the day, it's all in the hands of the voters.

Wonder what we talk about tomorrow? Is I guess we talk about the next election cycle starts. All right, give me at least a day. Thanks, Scott. Scott Golden, folks, get out and vote.

We'll see you at eleven here on the mighty nine ninety.
