Now, on with the show. Let's go, baby. Let's go. This is the Rich Eisen Show. I thought Caleb did a great job just throughout the game.

Touchdown! Swifty! He's got a hat trick, baby. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Earlier on the show.

ESPN college football analyst Josh Pate. Steelers defensive tackle Kim Hayward. Coming up. Plus, actor Rex Lynn. And now, it's Rich Eisen.

Hour number three of the Rich Eisen Show is on the air. Rex Lynn in our green room. Season two of Stick. We had Ray Sehorne on last week to talk about it. He's here shortly.

Diehard Texas Longhorns fan. I will never forget of the many times I've been so fortunate to hang with Rex, who is one of the original. He's an OG celebrity fantasy football player on the NFL Network Celebrity League that we had years and years ago. He won it. He actually won the flat-screen television that we gave him.

Really? I wonder if he still has it. But I'll never forget when he was driving around the set of CSI Miami, you know, the two episodes that I shot. He would drive around in a golf cart with the horns. Like a hood ornament.

on his own specialized golf course.

So like Boss Hawk. Anyway, Rex is a delight. He's going to join us shortly. News breaking out of Arizona. Rap Sheet just reported that Jeremiah Love is hurt and he's heading to IR.

Oh, boy. Really? Yeah. Four to five weeks he's out. The high ankle.

Rich, I was convinced we were looking at the next Adrian Peterson.

Well, we might at some point. At some point, but not. But his rookie season, injury marred and...

So the Cardinals are going to have to go in. And now Tyler Algier had a great game. Algier season. It may be Algier season. But how many more times do they take on the Dallas defense?

Okay. Seattle's up next. Seattle's up next. So that's unfortunate.

So offensive rookie of the year, who are we looking at here? Offensive rookie. I mean, either of the Browns receivers, right? Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion have to be out there. I mean, Jonah Coleman's got an outside shot right now if he keeps playing like this.

I think it's pretty wide open. Carnell Tate is a little favorite right now. And then the Bears guys, Jonah Coleman, Mike Washington now. It's a wide open race, that's for sure. He's starting running back in Vegas.

I don't know. But Carnell Tate, you know, is definitely in the clubhouse coming in. Kyle Lemon had a good game. Yeah, I mean, it's still wide open. It's still wide open, but that's the latest from the Arizona Cardinals.

I'm wondering if Cam – does Cam think that he's on a bye so he's not doing today's program? Is he on a bye from us too? Or are we just officially on the list here because I stirred it up? We stirred it up well, man. We might be getting our answer.

Anything got on this bag, sir.

So we're looking for – all right, so at the end of hour two, Kenyon DC called the NFC East the NFC Least, And I'm like, do not lump in the New York Giants with the rest of the struggling, disappointing, done for the year potentially. Rest of the teams in the NFC East, just don't do it. The Giants are 4-2-1. And I caped, as the kids might say. And I think it smoked Alan Dallas out of whatever he was doing.

Oh, no. What's up, Al? You there now? Oh, boy. Oh, boy.

Now we got you as, listen, welcome aboard, Richard. What do you mean you've got me? Wait a minute, Al. Al, I'm not going to sit here and hear the Giants at 4-2-1 lumped in with the rest of this division that's disappointing and underperforming. They're not either one of those, Al.

Well, you know, one play, one quarter, one game at a time, Richard. I mean, your boy's a game and a half into it. He's not YA fiddle. You know, let's just slow the roll a little bit. I do want them to go out and make a trade.

I know you're banging the drum for Jonathan Taylor. I heard it all day yesterday. Because Jonathan Taylor doesn't play defensive line, okay? He doesn't stop the run. The Saints, who ran the ball down our throats, just fired their run game coordinator.

That's how bad our defensive line has played. With injuries and just circumstances involved. but we defensively we need some we need some help on the front line i know we've traded but the kid wanted out right so that that wasn't we didn't have a choice now we had to get rid of them and we got a great traffic for now this is the thanks i get when i should i should sit here and let an eagle fan with a cowboy fan sitting right here saying oh it's the nfc least what a terrible division why are you worried about our division get out of here just you're terrible in it the Giants lead it not because you're terrible in it. It's because they're good. How does that sound, Al?

I don't know. What's wrong with that?

Well, I mean, we lead it because we have a lock stock professional finally leading our team, which the rest of the league is about to figure out. You have to have – it's got to be the head coach, the guy running the organization. That's right. I sound like a hockey player. That's right.

That's why we're leading. The law firm of Shermer, Judge, and McAdoo are not there anymore. You know what I mean? No, thank God. Thank you.

Al, thanks for the time. I got our guy Cam Hayward zooming in. Back here on the Rich Eisen Show of the now AFC North leading 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. Not just football's Cam Hayward here on the program. Good to see you, Cam.

How are you? Good. I just got done with the interview. You're going to love listening to this one. It's going to come on next week.

Who is it with? Is it with Julian Sane or who is it with? What do you got? Wow. Julian Sane.

Do you think? Wow. That was a shot. He's got time on his hands. It was another guy who has time on his hands.

Mike Tomlin. Oh, boy. Whoa.

Okay. He actually gave you a shout out, too, so you got to watch out for it. Oh, well, I'm honored. I'm honored. That's pretty cool.

He's happy, right? He's as happy as they get right now, right? He's way too happy. I'm kind of jealous. I'm like, what did I do to make you feel this way?

Dude. He's just, you know, he's living well, and he's really good at what he's doing too, man. He's really good. He said he learned from a guy like you, so.

Okay, I'll tell you. You know, must be doing something right. I'll be straight up. I'm going to come through the front door here. Are you upset with me for stirring it up last week, and now you got left holding the bag, making it sound like you were the one calling out Jared Verse, and I was the one who brought it up in our conversation, Cam.

Look at you, Rich. Just stirring the pot, you know, right in the kitchen of the AFC North. You know, you're answering questions. Your teammates are answering questions. And I kind of felt bad, but they were spelling the name of the show right.

So that's, as you know, what we're trying to do here, Cam, you know. I don't feel bad because I'm glad you kind of just jogged my memory so I can remember those thoughts because that was clearly on our mind. and it was like we were taking stock and we were able to bring it back and you did a great job of setting it up. I didn't have to say anything, but I did. But then the play did some talking too, Cam.

You know what I'm saying? The play's always got to do the talking. No matter what game you're in, you can talk as much as you want, but the way you win this game is on the field.

Okay. And on the field, how did it feel? back home. You're back home. You went on the road in Tampa.

You did what you did there. You went all the way to Paris, did what you did there. Then you're back home. Renegades blast in. And you held serve there against the Browns.

Funny thing enough, we didn't even get a chance to play Renegade. Is that right? Yeah. Why? What happened?

Game was out of control by then.

So your play took Renegade out of the mix too? Is that what you're saying? I guess so. I guess so. We were waiting for a renegade, but we never got it in.

All right, so then the renegade has to be Mason McCormick, right? He definitely knew it was Jared Verse. He was flipping Cam. Come on. Really?

Really? No. I don't know. I've been on those field goal scrums, and if a guy jumps, you have full ability to take advantage of that. But, yeah.

So you believe your teammate that, oh, I just didn't know the guy that I was flipping was the guy that was John. I got no idea. Mason has a wrestling background. You know, I equate him to, do you remember the Billy Madison? Remember Vader?

Okay, sure. That was Mason McCormick, actually. You're a happy camper now, huh? You're on a bye way through six and two. You're in first place.

I mean, walk me through the bye week state of affairs for the Steelers. Cam. Bye week is get away from the game, get a chance to let your wounds, your injuries take care of themselves. Spend some time with the family. They are well overdue for spending some time with.

And, yeah, get an interview with Mike T. That really cements a really good bye week.

Okay. And then coming out of the bye week, it's against the Bengals. Yep.

So that's a big one because you can sweep them and you can go in and really get a leg up on a division. You've split with Cleveland. You'd be sweeping Cincinnati. And then I sure you saw the state of affairs with the Ravens quarterback room right now Are you going to come out of the bye thinking like this is it You can cement this thing i i think we just worried about winning one game at a time um you know our main focus is going to be trying to beat the cincinnati bangles they got a really good squad over there a lot of respect over there burrow higgins chase on the offensive side and then you look on that defensive side look no further than dexter lawrence so we're gonna have our hands full but uh looking forward to that matchup all right i mean i love the i'll i'll let you slide with the one game at a time thing even though that one game would be pretty darn big it's your bye week you know what i mean i won't have to i don't have to stir it up every time with you not every time who would you say is the unsung mvp of this team halfway through the season cam we're not talking about this guy enough who is it it's jalen warren i don't think we're talking enough about the guy he is balling on an absurd pace right now. And then the other guy I would have to say is Zach Frazier.

Zach Frazier is, you know, the glue guy on our offensive line. He is, I think he's playing the best out of any offensive lineman in this league. And I think he needs to get his due.

Well, okay.

So go for it. Give me a little bit more on that. Jalen, we spoke to a couple weeks ago. Yeah. So if people aren't talking about him enough, you can't include the Rich Eisen show on that.

I mean, it was a delightful chat with him just a couple weeks ago. But I'll give you the floor on Zach. Zach is a complete player. You know, he's a younger, ascending guy in our league that he's going against great competition. He's going against a Dexter Lawrence.

He's going against all these different great players. And I think he's performing at a high level. And when we talk about our offensive line growing at the beginning of the season, It was, is the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line ready? Are they going to be able to do what they need to do to protect Aaron? It starts with Zach Frazier, and he's answering that call.

Okay. Cam Hayward here on the Rich Eisen Show. Aaron seemed to be still, you know, displeased about the offense from his podium. I don't know if he caught any of that after the game where, you know, he also has been around. It's not his first rodeo, so on and so forth.

same with you about banners don't get raised for being six and two. You were eight and two just a couple of years ago with Ross. And that didn't work out the way that you wanted. What's the message do you think coming from Aaron with a post game podium like that? Cam, we got to, we got to build.

We're not a complete team yet on offense and on defense. We got to continue to grow. There's still missed opportunities. There are things we can do to clean up our game. um you know i i think he understands that we can maximize a lot better uh under his regime and um i love that he's not settling i love that you have a quarterback that thinks we can be better we can look forward to the future and say there are still things we can work on to be a better team okay in a few minutes i have left with you cam hayward um we'll get to your podcast in a second with tomlin do you gotta do you got another rule change or you out fresh out of them you got because You come each week with something that's thought-provoking.

I'm thinking with these bigger games, do we get a running clock? Do we get people, you know, when a team is up by three scores, 10 minutes left, do we get a running clock going so we can get everybody out of the stadium a little bit faster? Oh, my goodness. This is not youth football. Three scores or three touchdowns?

Yeah, what do you mean? Three touchdowns.

So it's a 21-point game, and then the clock starts to run. There's no more – well, wouldn't you want the clock to stop if somehow, someway you need to get – I know you're like, we're not going to be down 21. I don't want to be up 21. I don't want to be down 21. I'm sorry.

I don't mean to put that in the ether. I'm just saying, you know, wouldn't you want to have the clock stop, you know? Yeah, but this is my time. I'm thinking we're winning, buddy.

So, you know, you asked me what I would like. Do you like that, Chris? Normally, everything he says, you're like, you like it. I can see you don't like it. You don't like it.

You know, look, there's some things that I'm involved in that maybe I need some more time.

Okay. Oh, that sounds like a fantasy. No, it's not that. I'll just say he's the king of his draft sometimes. You know what I mean?

You see what I mean? I like doing fans. You know what I mean? He's talking about something, hard-earned American dollars at work, Cam. Wow.

You know, you don't think about that. How about we just shut off fantasy drafts and fantasy leagues for a week? He's not talking fantasy. He's talking about Las Vegas, Nevada, and not the Raiders, Cam. That's what he's referring to.

Oh, we can shut those off, too. How about that? I like it. All right, I lied. Put it up.

I could see you got the photograph ready. Walk me through this, sir. Walk me through this. This Fred Flintstone, Napoleon Dynamite combination. What do we have here?

Yeah. Okay. So first of all, I couldn't, my first costume was the Mandalorian. Didn't end up working out the right way. And so I had a backup costume in the Fred Flintstone and it worked out the right way.

But then my wife, I like to make mummy dogs, which is just hot dogs rolled up in crescent rolls for Halloween. And I'm preparing those with the kids. She comes downstairs in that full getup, and I was not ready for it. She's killing it. This is a great costume.

Now we've started a new tradition in our household. Our tradition is that we don't tell each other what the costume is going to be, but it's going to be a surprise to both of us.

Okay. So how does the Mandalorian not work out? Because the costumes are one size fits most, and you weren't part of the most. Cam, has that happened? It was custom made, I will say that.

Okay. But it was falling off left and right, and I couldn't see through the mask. It was way too dark. And, you know, I like to go around the neighborhood in my golf cart, and I just – I police everybody. I try to make sure everybody gets their candy, and it's a good time.

By the way, you're probably very good at that role, just like you are for the Pittsburgh Steelers, your role.

So this isn't the way, is what you said. And then you turned it to the – Not yet. We'll probably get next year. All right.

So then not just football. You just recorded a bi-week conversation with Mike Tomlin. Mm-hmm. and everybody should check that out. It comes out next week, you said?

Next week.

Okay. This week we have Mel Blunt, though. Oh, wow. Yeah. Where is the lead there?

In all honesty, I think – how old is he now? Is he almost 80? Oh, my goodness. I think he's in his late 70s. 78.

78. 78. Okay. Yep.

I think he can give me seven to eight snaps on your defense off the bye week. Yeah. and it makes no sense that he was able to dominate the way he did and play as fast as he did. And so, like, you watch that guy, and there's obviously a lot of respect there because he's one of the favorites. But, man, he played the game the right way, and they tried to change the game against him.

So, yeah, it's very fun to get to talk about it. Cam, the first time I met him at the Hall of Fame, all right, and I saw him and I kept looking up and he kept going, right? And then the cowboy hat on top of it makes him seem like he's eight feet tall. Yeah. I swear to you, I thought to myself, no wonder they changed the rules on this guy because he had to have been way bigger than 99% of the league that he was playing against at that point in time.

For real. Yeah. He was playing against children for a good part of time.

So, yeah, it's fun to get the go-down memory lane with him. Oh, that's so cool. I look forward to that. And so a real-deal question to finish up here, Cam Hayward. Talking to Mike Tomlin, halfway through his first season as a pundit, as an analyst, as a TV guy, do you think he's done coaching, Cam Hayward?

guys he's not coming back he's way too comfortable really he's way too comfortable he told me as soon as he walked in i went every week now and i'm like yeah i get that i get that and i'm not gonna fight against that because that is a that's a pretty sweet job he's got going on over there well that's the key for coaches uh that that go to tv is they realize they win every week. There's no losses, right? But they miss a lot of what it was like to coach. You think that's out of his system already? Cam?

It's not out of his system because I'm still receiving a lot of text in our group chats. And so I know he still cares deeply, but I don't know if you can get him out of this situation he's got going on right now. It's going to be pretty tough. Would you mind sharing who's on the text chain it's just me and tj and he tends to poke and prod about what's going on with you guys is that what you're saying he's got an eye on what you're doing and how you're going about it and he'll he'll jab at you a little bit or or or criticize a little bit not a little bit most of the time that means it's still in there um it's there it's there but you know bag large enough to get Mike Tomlin out of the current situation for him? Is there a bag large enough to get you to play in the NFL right now?

There is not, sir. No. All right.

I guess I'm picking up what you're putting down. Thanks for the time, Cam. Have a great bye week. We'll chat again next week. Appreciate you, brother.

Not just football, with Mel Blunt this week and Mike Tomlin the next. Dope, man. By the way, there's nothing like having one in the can, right? You got one already for next week. That's the way you do these pods.

You stack them just like wins for the Pittsburgh Steelers. There goes Cam Hayward here on this edition. Hi, Cam. Hey, Cam. Enjoy the week.

There you go. I like Cam, man. I'm glad you said that. He's bigger than all of us. You're in a group chat.

Oh, he's gone now.

So you don't have to say that now. But I do. Him, TJ Watt, Mike Tomlin on a text chain. Oh, that TJ. Yeah, that's not him.

I was impressed. I've won many group chats, but not that. No, and if he was on that, he would not respond. Oh, I'd respond to that one. No, you would not.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Oh, Mike Tomlin and Cam Hayward are on that chat. Sure. I'm on the chat, and Brockman's on the chat. The entire Guillotine League's on the chat.

Buble's on the chat. Vinny Pasquantino, O'Shea's on the chat. You're tapping out. Yeah, but if Mike Tomlin and Cam and TJ what? Yeah, I'm going to answer that.

And outrage. Buble was on fire. Get into the Hyundai Getaway Winter Sales event and get away with a deal so right it almost feels wrong. Yeah, no Pardon me No, he told me that that character had Alzheimer's And more specifically another condition within Alzheimer's Which is paradoxical lucidity And that is a condition that it's a return a meaningful return of mental clarity.

So you can be talking to someone who's got it. And they might say, you know, it might be the two of us talking. And I'm talking to you and calling you rich and everything's going great. And then two seconds later, I don't have a clue who you are. And it lasts for some episodes last a few seconds.

Some are a few minutes and some are hours, but it happens. And so to put that on the screen, I had to do a lot of research on it. And Jason was very accommodating. He just basically gave me full reign to put my interpretation of that and what that looks like on the screen. And so, yeah, that's the first time I've seen any of that clip.

Right there, season two of Stick on Apple TV. It premieres tomorrow, November 4th, with two episodes. This is the second season of the series, and you're joining this season. And we just had Ray Sehorne on last week talking about it. Let me tell you something.

And you go back to Better Call Saul with her as well. To be able to work with her again. You know how I feel about her. I think she's the best ever. and she does a lot of, she prepares the way I prepare, which is rehearse, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse.

That's why we got along so well in our workplace on Better Call Saul. Same with Stick. And it was funny because when Jason told me that Ray was going to be my daughter, I was thinking, well, wait a minute. I was thinking of the age difference, and then I called Ray and I said, I'm going to be your dad? And she goes, you would have had to have been 14.

And I said, well, I mean, I got around in the neighborhood. But I mean, it's worked out, though. It worked out. And it's just so great. And by the way, I brought this just for you.

Got a bag? It's the stick gift bag just for you. It's got things in it. Yeah, it's just strictly for you. Hold on.

Let me take it out.

So there's a hat. We got a hat.

Okay. There's a towel for your golf bag. Uh-huh. Eat it.

Socks.

Socks.

Stick golf socks. I mean, come on. This is going to remove at least five strokes from my game, the socks alone. And there's got to be a – I don't know what that is.

Okay, let me see. It's just a plain old box. Let's find out what that is. Anything. Really.

Hold on a minute. Oh, it feels like it's some sort of – yeah, there we go. Oh, a little top. A nice little stick container for hot and cold items. Perfect.

Drinks.

Okay. Well, thank you. You're welcome. I appreciate that. Love it.

And a golf ball. One golf ball. Which I will lose with one swing of my cup. Fantastic. You know, I have to say this.

Thank you for this. You're welcome. The Rich Eisen coffee mug, of course, is famous with me, as you guys know. Because for the longest time, I couldn't get one. And then I got one, and it was, well, you ran out.

But the reason I'm bringing this up is I did KTLA a couple weeks ago on their morning talk show to promote Happy's Place, the premiere of the third season. They have the coolest coffee cups, so I thought. And I said, oh, you guys have great coffee cups. I said, I collect coffee cups. I love coffee cups.

And that didn't go over well. Nobody reacted to that. And then the girl, that anchor girl said, well, we don't give the coffee cups out. And I said, I tell you what, Rich Eisen, they give that coffee cup out over there. She goes, really?

And I said, yeah. She goes, I don't know why. And she's looking at the other anchors. I don't know why we don't give our cups out. And I said, well, anyway, yeah, I've got my Rich Eisen cup.

Well, at the end of that show. My cups are yours. And that's not a metaphor for anything. They really mean that, Rex. Anyway, they presented me because I used the Rich Eisen theory of coffee cup.

They gave me a coffee cup at the end of the show. If you don't ask, you're not going to get. Wayne Gretzky once famously said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. By the way, before I forget, we did a movie together. I nicknamed it Finding Lombardi.

Yes. And I showed. The Rich Eisen show Super Bowl Miami Open. Super Bowl 54, I believe that was. We had Colin on there, Colin Hanks.

Oh, look here. I am playing David Caruso. You're playing yourself. You couldn't have been more awesome to do it. This is our show open.

I channeled my inner Caruso, sir. Boy, did you ever.

So I showed this to Reba, the love of my life. You did? Yeah, I showed it to Reba, and Reba goes, Can you do me a favor? can you give Rich a message for me? And I said, you bet.

And she said, all I have to say is that David Caruso is really lucky that you were not available when they were screen testing in the early 2000s for the role of Horatio. Otherwise, David would be doing something else. That's her message. By the way, I wholeheartedly, I'm Rich Eisen. I approve that message from Reba McIntyre.

That's right. When we were working together in that role, words I don't think I get to say to too many people, you told me at one point, like, boy, David used to do exactly that. You're like, you know, I got the glasses on move. You don't take them off to say something. You put them on.

You did it perfectly. Thank you so much. And by the way, I will never forget, I get a call from production when you had proposed to do this. Yes. And then I won the, well, and I won the Woody.

Yes, you did. This big screen. I don't have that big screen. I do have the Woody still. And I beat – well, I mean, that's the trophy.

It's made out of wood. It was a wooden football. Everybody back off. Yeah, back – Everybody back off. Wood football.

And Paul Rudd, remember his team was taste like chicken. Mine was T-Rex. And I beat him in the end. And I will never forget the first morning when we filmed the draft. it was Garland, Jeff Garland on one side, Paul Rudd on the other I had just stopped by the Van Nuys magazine stand and I got NFL Fantasy League draft I just bought it and so I sat down between those two and they had graphs and rulers and they had all kinds of stuff and I'll never forget Paul looking over at me and he goes is that all you brought?

And I'll never forget Garland looking over and he goes, dude, that's not right. You get no shot.

Well, I beat him. You did beat him. And I remember the person who almost got beat up during that taping and recording was Jeff Garland for calling Jaleel White Urkel so many times. It was almost like Jim Rome and Jim Everett. Say it one more time.

And so Garland kept calling him that over and over and over again and decided to quintuple down on it by naming his team Urkel, Urkel, Urkel. That was the name of his team that year. Oh, love it. Oh, yeah. Jeff Garland is out of his skull right now because his bears look the way that they look.

How do you feel about your Texas Longhorns right now, Rex Lynn? What's going on here? What do you think? Oh, man, that's – I don't know. I've checked myself into the psychiatric ward several times during the season.

I'm, you know, we got a tough schedule. We got Missouri. We got Missouri this Saturday could be tough. We got LSU at night after that. Then we got Arkansas.

And then we end up with A&M at A&M. Here's what I think of the Texas Longhorns right now. I think that what would I give for an offensive line, a better one. And I think, you know, I may get in trouble for saying it, but I think Sartre should get an offensive coordinator. He's a great play caller, but I think it's time for an offensive coordinator and to let him do other stuff, you know, and not call the plays constantly.

To be the CEO of the team and not have him in the head. We know that he can be a great offensive coordinator. He was for Alabama, and he's a good play caller, But I think he's just got too much on his plate.

So I would love to have an offensive coordinator. I don't think that's going to happen probably. And the whole thing about Arch, you know, you and I talked about it earlier. I'm not as down on Arch as some people are. If he had an offensive line, a better offensive line, I think he might be in a little bit better shape.

But, I mean, he's had some issues with accuracy a little bit. and holding on to the ball a little bit long. But, hell, I'm just an armchair coach. No, listen, you're a fan, and you one of the biggest Texas Longhorn fans I ever come across I pretty rabid about it I know I saw that when I was you know as my guest role on CSI Miami twice that you were driving around in that custom golf cart. I had that Texas Longhorn golf cart.

You had the horns on like a hood ornament on the front of your cart. That was scary, wasn't it? The angriest you've ever seen a being or somebody, Bevo or David Caruso on the set? What's the angriest you've ever seen? David Cruz.

No. Bevo. Oh, my goodness. What's your favorite Better Call Saul moment? What do you got for me, Rex?

I'll tell you what it is, honestly. Please. I could name several scenes. I did a lot of episodes on that show. You sure did.

Was hired for one. I don't know how many I did, but all of my scenes were with Ray and finally got a couple of scenes with Bob. But my favorite moment of Better Call Saul had to have been when they knocked on my door the first time in my little trailer and said, they're ready for you on set. I had not met Ray Seahorn or Bob Odenkirk. They were in the middle of finishing a scene on the stage that did not include my character.

We walked to the stage door, and before we opened the door, the door opens. It's Ray Sehorne. And I was with Kara Pitchco, the other female actor that plays my lawyer in the show. She said, hi, guys. Hi, Kara.

I'm Ray Sehorne. Hi, Rex. I'm Ray Sehorne. Craft service in the back of the stage has great chocolate chip cookies. They're homemade.

and if you like chocolate chip cookies, just go back in the back and get them right now. They're hot and everything. We're going to finish up this scene, and then I look forward to seeing you guys in front of the camera. And turned around and walked off. That had to have been, and I went back there and had some chocolate chip cookies.

So not only was she right, but she was downright hospitable. She was, and you don't see that a lot on movie sets and television sets, especially if you're one or two on the call sheet. I mean, people are welcoming and embracing to some extent. But to come out and say hi to us in the middle of finishing up a scene with Odenkirk, it was my favorite moment of all when I look back. What about a scene that you were in?

My favorite scene would be in the boardroom. I've had it with the property, the land that I want to acquire, my company acquires. Barry Corbin played the actor that played the guy that owned the land. But it was a boardroom scene with Kara and Ray and two or three other attorneys, and I just unload on them. And it was a pretty cool little monologue they gave me.

And as far as acting, that would have been it. And we worked on it for three days. Three? Yeah, actually two and a half days. And then Odenkirk comes in at the end, and so that was the first time I'd been in a scene with him.

But I tell you what, the first scene I ever had with Bob was in a parking lot, underground parking lot, and I meet with him. My character meets with him. But I see that car that Saul Goodman drove in Breaking Bad. They had that car in the parking lot. No kidding.

Yeah. The lawyer up one? Yeah, and I just looked at it, and I just, it was like looking at the Batmobile, man. And the first AD was leaning on it. I'll never forget this.

He was leaning on it. And I said, you can't lean on that car. That's Saul Goodman's car, man. That's like the Batmobile. And he goes, it's a prop.

And I have to deal with getting it transferred, transported here and there. But if you want to lean on it, I go, I want to sit in it. But I never did. No. And Bob comes over and he goes, well, get in the car.

Get in there and sit down. I said, no, I'm not worthy of sitting in Saul Goodman's car.

So that was pretty fun. What a show, man. Yeah. You loved Better Call Saul. I do.

All Vince Gilligan shows I'm in. He has me at hello every single time, man. As a matter of fact, Reba had not seen in its entirety Breaking Bad. We just finished. Maybe it's the fourth time I have.

She just finished it. She fell in love with it.

So now we're on a full Better Call Saul. I have, by the way, I'm jealous, number one, that it's new to her. I watched Breaking Bad back a couple years ago. I had to stop midway through because I knew it was coming, and it's so disturbing. I know.

It's so disturbing. It is. You know, but there's nothing like it. Nothing like it. It's the best show I think that's ever been.

I'm with you in terms of commercial television, too. I know AMC would let you curse, you know, unlike truly commercial television, like obviously what you're doing with Happy's Place. But for that construct with commercial breaks and things like that, nothing like it. I'm completely on board with that. I've said it to everybody.

I don't know how you could not have seen Breaking Bad if you watch anything. It's funny because people will watch an episode of that. My sister is one. She called me one time and said, what TV can I watch several years ago? And I said, well, have you seen Breaking Bad?

She said, no. I said, well, just watch the first two episodes, get kind of a story, and then move on. She watched one episode, called me back, and said, what would make you think that I would want to watch? what is this what is the pilot is so out there yeah that that suzy my wife we watched the pilot together she tapped out of it uh she's like that that i don't i don't know why i would want to watch that she had the same reaction i went through the first season of it i'm like okay this is my spouse you know preemptory where you i'm looking at you and say you must watch this yes and then she got into it well let me tell you the the way i found out about it and it already He aired two seasons. The first season, I think, was six episodes.

Adam Rodriguez on CSI Miami. We were doing a scene together one day, and he goes, oh, I bet you're watching Breaking Bad. I'd never even heard of it. I said, what? He goes, Breaking Bad, the show on AMC?

And I said, no, I don't know what it is.

Well, he had the DVDs of the first two seasons.

So he said, hey, I'll bring the DVDs to you. and check them out. I binge-watched all of them. Makes total sense. And then you wind up on Better Call Saul, which is unbelievable.

Stick premieres tomorrow with two episodes on Apple TV. Fridays is where you can watch Happy's Place with this man on NBC at 8 Eastern time. And 50 countries just watched an episode of CSI Miami during our interview with Rex Lynn. Love it, baby. Good to see you, brother.

I realized that after we stopped talking to Cam, I didn't even ask him about Jeffrey Simmons. You know, I'm sure he will take...

You want to call him back? No, it's all right. I think Jeffrey Simmons' significance will only increase each week, and I figured Cam would like to toot a horn for anybody that plays this position and how it can be game-changing. I kind of missed on that opportunity, but we'll do that next week because Cam joins us every single week. And tomorrow's show, Adam Driver's coming in here.

Nice.

So I'm excited to have him here. Kurt Warner as well. He got slower billing from a guy who's... Lower billing? Yeah, of course.

Kurt's in the Hall of Fame. I know. He's not Kylo Ren, though. Like I said, man, he's messing with Kurt. He's also not in the movie Paper Tiger, which is an old school movie.

Miles Teller, Scarlett Johansson. But he's got a movie about his life. That's probably better. It's more significant. I don't care.

Adam Driver, an American underdog. Kurt's not coming. You know what I mean? Kurt's Zooming in. If he was here, he'd get top billing.

I'm sorry. Fair. Everybody go vote. This is way too important to be sitting on the sidelines and say you don't have time, you don't have this, you don't have that. I know it's very difficult sometimes to get away from work or to stand on the line forever.

Because your state closes polls and tries to make it harder to vote, which I don't understand how that happens anymore. Should be a day off. I guess I do understand it. But, like, the NBA has taken off.

So kudos to the association to take the day off. Obviously, we have not. But please do vote. It's so important. And we'll see you on Wednesday's edition of The Rich Eisen Show on the radio.
