So there is all sorts of good stuff in our neighborhood. Getting ready for tonight's big time game between the Bears and the Seahawks. A preview of that is sitting on our YouTube channel as well. If you want to check that one out, I said the Detroit Lions were winning the NFC North prior to the season. The Bears have done nothing but make me second guess myself.
You know, because when the Bears were not playing as well as they've been playing with Caleb Williams, because Caleb Williams was out. With all due respect to the Case Keenum resurgence in that Monday nighter against the that was fun though the Eagles I know because a Cowboy fan you were fun to watch the Eagles go down and they have not won basically it's not basically since then they've lost six in a row. The Lions were not playing well defensively while that was happening. You know, in Kelvin Shepard prior to the visit. By Detroit to Arizona, fresh off of the Carolina Panther loss on on Sunday Night Football, and he said that we're going to hold our third of the bargain.
You know, it's offense, defense, special teams; it's all phases, and you know, you you hear a defensive coordinator talk that way in front of the media, and. When I saw that, I am like, "Uh oh!" I don't know if the defense is going to be able to back his play, and they have since then. They took care of the Arizona Cardinals. They then hit the buy, and they've come out with two massive wins at home. What you have to do in order to win your division, you have to hold serve at home in division, and they've beaten the Packers and they've beaten the Vikings now in a row.
And defensively, they've done the job. They've done the job. You knew the Vikings were going to put the screws to the Lions' offense in a way that they've been doing it to mostly everybody, and the Lions only scored 19 points. It's a season low. A season low.
At the end of the game, though, Jameer Gibbs took care of business. Had a career high seventy eight rush yards after first contact. That's what you got to do to beat the Vikings. You know you are going to get contacted. You got to keep on ticking.
Then he had one hundred twenty nine of his game high one hundred sixty eight scrimmage yards in the second half. And then the big ones came after Jack Campbell went down and got carted off in a ten minute delay because it was scary. I mean the hit that he took. Um, in you know, in getting T.J. Hawkinson down on the ground, you know his his his back is bent in a way that makes you nervous.
Yep, the neck too, for sure. And then everybody taking a knee, and Aiden Hutchinson tears in his eyes, gathering his teammates together. Um, you know, everybody knows how Jack Campbell. Is the glue for this team defensively? Obviously, Hutchinson gets a lot of the pub, but the big tenor from Iowa, right in the middle of this defense, who was chosen in the first round, he is he's a captain and a glue guy.
He was our glue guy, one of our glue guys. He was. I honestly wasn't using that until I. He's he's a glue guy, yep.
So. For them to be able to pull it together, hold it together, and then come back, because Kyler Murray did lead the offense down the field on this defense, which once again is licking its wounds. Just when you thought they were getting healthier, Brian Branch was back, and Kirby Joseph is coming back. Jimmy Rolde goes out, Branch goes out, DJ Wanam goes out, and then Jack Campbell goes out, and and I'm sitting there watching. Are the Lions going to lose this game because they're just again battling attrition on defensive on the defensive side of the ball?
The answer is no. And Golf got it done with Gibbs and Sione Vaki. He had 74 career rush yards entering Sunday, 65 in the game. He was doing it, ninety-nine rush yards in the fourth quarter. That's the second most in the fourth quarter of a game since two thousand.
This decade, I mean, this century for the Lions, they got it done. The gritty win, to use the phrase that Dan Campbell. Uses all the time, including in the locker room afterwards. If you saw saw his speech to the team, he gave the game ball to the entire team, took a knee to pray for Jack Campbell, and this is what he had to say from the podium. It's tough because you're in that moment.
You know, you don't know what's going on. Um, you know, you're with them all the time, and some of those guys. I mean, you know, it's your teammates, so it's hard, but. As athletes, coaches in this league, you know you you have to, you know you have to lock back in. I mean that's that's part of this, what it's about, overcoming adversity.
You know, in any shape, any form, any shape, and that was another version of it. And and you know you your instincts take over a little bit, and you just you get back to work and.
So they they did a good job because it's not easy. That's not easy to do. They became the sixth team in NFL history to beat a six and O or better opponent while also scoring their season low in points. To that point, wow! The last time they beat a six and O or better team.
Period. Regardless of how many points they scored, would you believe it? We're not Thanksgiving Day in 1962, and they beat the 10-0 Packers. How's that for a nugget? Wow, good nugget.
And with all due respect to the Lions, and I predicted they would win the division before the season.
Next up for them is a visit to Miami, and then a massive game in Germany against New England. Before a home date with Tampa, which is not going to be easy, they've got both games against Chicago. How big is that Thanksgiving opener going to be? Because with all due respect to the Lions, the way we view this game, I think depends on the way the Bears come out of tonight's game against Seattle. If they go and ball out against Seattle, you heard Marcus Spears say in hour number two, we're going to talk about the Bears.
As Super Bowl contenders, that was even an overreaction Monday subject matter. It was.
So they'll have a chance to prove it, though. They got two against Chicago. Those last two, okay? Because we always talk about Jared Goff and the cold weather and outdoors and whatever. And at Chicago, at Green Bay in January, both those games in January twenty twenty seven to wrap it up.
So big that's going to be their next time they play back to back games against. A division opponent like they just did here, two at home though those are going to be on the road, and then what to make of Minnesota, man? What to make of Minnesota? Lost the close game. We don't have any more undefeated teams in the NFL anymore.
They're the last team to drop their first one. You know, Mark Henry Morris was up there popping that bottle. Oh, I already saw the the I popped them to my threads timeline of Larry Zonka, cigar lit, literally. He did it. He popped champagne.
Yeah, Larry Zonka did it yesterday. I know you're shaking your head over there as a Patriot fan, guys. Um. I don't know what to make of a man because offensively, I still don't trust them. No, I'm waiting for Kyler to have that big game.
You're going to keep waiting. You think so, huh? It's not coming. You know, I'm just waiting for this big moment. He did just.
He did just have his first multiple passing touchdown game with the Vikings, right? Because Justin Jefferson had to make the catch of the year. He made a nice circus catch. He tipped it to himself, and then one hand grabbed it. Yeah, that guy's got to be so frustrated.
They were at their own thirty-three with three-zero-one left on fourth and four. They punted it. Never got the ball back. They thought they listen. You've got.
I don't blame them, right? It's nineteen fifteen, and you're you're think your defense is going to get it back for you. You got to trust it. You got to trust it. I'm not going to get on Kevin O'Connell for that, but the question is, what what do you do?
Let's hear from Kyler first before we talk about unpack that a little bit more. This was him about getting the ball to Justin Jefferson more because, once again, anytime a wide receiver is seen emoting on the sidelines, you are wondering he's angry, he's upset, he's yelling, he's screaming, he's creating problems. Even if he's Justin Jefferson, who's already caught a touchdown pass, we're waiting to see. This was the conversation about getting him the ball more. Yeah, we got to find ways to get him, give him the ball.
You know, obviously they're gonna double him, and they did today. Doubled a couple guys today, and that's just part of it. You know, this is my first year with him, so obviously Ko and you know you know everybody that's been here understands how he gets treated and how he gets played. But yeah, we got to find ways to get the ball. Obviously, he's frustrated, and that's understandable.
You know, he's he is who he is, and he's you know he has every right to feel the way he feels when he doesn't get the ball.
So again, that's that's on us to find ways to get the ball. I mean, you're going to stick with him, right? You're not going to Carson Wentz, are you? No. This business of them acquiring a quarterback in the next week is absurd.
It's not even worth discussing. I think if if Vegas would do it, they would take Kirk back in a second. Why would Vegas do it? They're four and four. He's lining it up right now.
If if Vegas would never, they never. Kevin O'Connell is probably calling every day. Great. Do you really think so? I don't think so.
Definitely not. You think he would rather have Kyler Murray than Kirk Cousins right now? You think he's literally calling every day, like trying to? This is um with. The ultimate respect.
This is an outside the building, looking in approach to talk about it that way. You cannot just welcome in somebody in the building and think it's all just ready to roll because it's a fantasy league. It's not. I don't care if Kirk Cousins was there. It's the same.
What do you mean? It's same offense. Whatever. You still you don't just plug and play. It doesn't happen.
And forget about him. Vegas should have no intention of even answering a phone call. In regards to him, because they're four and four now, he is balling. He is lighting it up. The team is so psyched to have him, and his role isn't just to win games right now and light up the scoreboard.
It's to make sure the next kid's ready whenever they decide he is ready. You're not trading him. I heard you mentioned Daniel Jones's name before because he was there a couple years ago. Because he's lighting it up so well and taking care of the football with Indianapolis, huh? Stripping up, he's driving around in a in a in a Ugo in Indianapolis.
What are you talking about? You got Jonathan. I'm hearing the Vikings are even interested in Jonathan Taylor. They should get both of them.
Okay. No, the way their way through is they they acquired Kyler Murray. They went through. The preseason with him. They went through the summer with him.
They bounced JJ McCarthy, based on their evaluation of everything going on with them, which has to include Kyler Murray for this year and Carson Wentz and Carson Wentz. Correct.
So the choice is: Do you trade horses in midstream for Carson Wentz, or stick with Kyler Murray? You look at their schedule, and one thing that you definitely know you need to do next week is put points on the board. Because I don't care how well this defense is playing, Josh Allen's coming in, and with all due respect to everyone else that's walked in the door, Caleb in week two, and even Jared Goff this week, I get it. Josh Allen's come to town.
Well, the next three weeks. All right, this is it. This is it.
So you're going to go to Carson Wentz here. You're not going to go to somebody outside the building. You're just not. And you're also six and one.
So why are you hitting the panic button? Unless you are saying Kyler is so unusable now. He's not unusable. He's just not consistent enough. To put points on the board, look at this: sixteen points, twenty-three points, fifteen points, twenty-three points, nine points.
Not going to get it done. Thirty-nine in week one was an outlier because a lot of it came in the fourth quarter, thanks to the defense. And Kyler was already gone in that game. They're going to need thirty points to win each of the next three games. I would think so because it's not just Buffalo; it's Green Bay and it's San Francisco, and then Atlanta that could put points up.
Then New, although you know, Lions again. Penix can be turnover prone against the defense that's coming after him, as we saw with Tampa.
So they should handle Penix, but they're six and four going into that game, and they've only scored fifteen a game. Then you go to Carson Wentz.
Okay, will be too late to trade.
Well, I'll be too late to win the division potentially. You know, not trading for anybody, they're not going to do that. They're not. The building is what it is. They have made their bed.
They've made their bed, and what if JJ McCarthy goes on a run? That's another story.
Well, it just goes back. That's another story.
Handle this position. That's not their concern. Their concerns. Their concern. I mean, what would you do, TJ?
I'm with you. You're not bringing somebody new in. Not. Not at this. But you go Carson once.
No. I'm gonna hang in there with Kyler. Like you're six and one, right? And I know what you're saying, Chris. But a win is a win sometimes, right?
But again, now I got to go on Chris again. This upcoming schedule is tough.
So, what if they go on a run though, bro? What if they win? Yeah, I did that. But what if they do? They're not the defense is good enough to beat these teams, right?
We've been saying that all season. What if they, what if they shut down the Bills? I, I just think stay the course with Kyler and hope for the best over the next three weeks.
Well, hope, but I think they're going to happen. Hope for the best doesn't really. No, you got to hope for the best, which is that he starts to click and it's finally clicking. Noah in Maine wants to chime in on this very subject matter. What's up, Noah?
Hey, Rich. Thanks for taking my call again. And yeah, you know, I think I am getting to the the boat of we should be looking to Carson Went coming in these next ones because these last two games were, as the dog says, rough. They were rough, Rich. And I like Kyler Murray looked flat out bad, a hundred percent, but.
I do still think we need to like I called in last week saying that we might have a Kirk Cousin situation at head coach, and you know what I meant by that is like a level of just good enough that we can't really complain about it, but not good enough to really win anything. But in like I say, Kyler Murray was flat out bad. But I don't think KOC was really doing him any favors last last night or yesterday rather. Like all of the stuff that he's had success with this season, the screens, the passing to the tight end, it all just keeps falling to the wayside for these huge deep shots that these explosive plays that he likes. That sure we hit a couple of them, but a broken clock is right twice a day, you know.
And I think it's a matter of finding somebody who is, I think maybe Carson Wentz in his older age, maybe isn't afraid to check down the. More and Kyler Murray maybe more trying to impress Ko, but I think at the end of the day something's got to give because this has was it 2016 that we started you know five and zero and missed the playoffs. This has that written all over it to me. Noah, thanks for the call. It's Noah and Mean right here on the Rich Eisen Show on the WeatherTech Fan Line.
It's Carson Wentz or or Kyler. And I think he's going to stay the course. And Kyler's now gotten a few weeks in, and let's see what happens. And if they struggle in the middle of a game, really interesting. Does he look at Carson Wentz's way?
And then what happens when you got to go back? If you do, can you go back? Like, I'm sure you can. You can, and then see what what's going on. You don't want to start doing that, though, because it usually doesn't work out for you.

The Rich Eisen Show podcast. Back here on the Rich Eisen Show, eight four four two zero four Rich number dial here on the show. Um, I've got a new favorite player in college football. His name's Mark Bowman. Oh, listen, I'm a Michigan Wolverine.
You are. I don't. I don't root for the USC Trojans. As a matter of fact, they they are a team that once won a Rose Bowl with a fraudulent touchdown, a fraudulent touchdown, a ball that was loose. Like if there was replay back in the seventies, seen that picture?
Yeah. All right. But you weren't a Michigan fan then. I could still complain about it.
Okay, I'm I'm I'm a standard bearer for my university, sir. When I sit in this chair, I represent all Wolverines of all generations. Doesn't matter if I was alive or had no idea I was going to go to Michigan at that point in time. Right, that's what I'm saying.
So I don't like USC. You beat me in beat beat Bowen his last game. Junior Seau and the Trojans beat Bo in his last game. I covered it. Bo called a a fake punt, fake punt in his last game as a coach.
You went completely. You want to talk about he? He spent decades setting up that tendency breaker. Got called for a hold on it, a terrible call. And then Bo compounded it by throwing his headset when ass over tea kettle, fifteen more yards, and was over.
I was sitting in a booth there in the Rose Bowl, working for the Michigan Daily, the greatest student publication in our great system of higher education of this country.
So that's all to say, I don't like the Trojans.
Okay, being honest, Sue has a soft spot. You know, she teaches there. She covered Pete's team there. You know she's got a soft spot. I don't.
But Saturday night, I was Trojan. I was fighting on, fighting. Oh, you and O'Shea. Oh, O'Shea. He he FaceTimed me after USC beat us.
Oh, he did. Oh yeah. Oh wow. He did because he knew I'd be a happy camper. This eighteen-year-old kid, Mark Bowman.
Did you see what he did? Seventy-yard catch and run while hurtling. Wow, an Ohio State Buckeye! What a photo in the rain. I mean, I'm used to seeing hurdles in that stadium, right?
But just you know, when they light an Olympic torch, sure. Without trick or treating, I kind of missed it, dude. I was I was wearing a costume of being a USC fan.
Okay, and the Buckeyes were starting a backup quarterback. Feighy did his best. By the way, Jeremiah Smith, I think, had something like double-digit targets, nine catches for like eighty-something yards and a touchdown. I don't know what his numbers are. I should have written them down, but like, it's a pedestrian game for him.
And USC took care of business. Lincoln Riley's walking off the field cursing at people because the injured Buckeyes weren't moving fast enough. Did you see that video? I think he's holding hands of his of his kids, right? Dropping f bombs.
He's fired up. Hey, man, I remember what it was like as a banana on Halloween night a few years ago. It's his biggest win in a while. Hey, if my kids are somebody standing in my kids' way, I'm I'm I'm gonna start arguing with people as a banana. I get it, although.
And then Lincoln Riley's reading a statement. You hear this? He read a statement after the game, like he wrote it down. A statement in case they won. I don't get.
I don't even write down something in case I win an Emmy award. Yeah. Well, maybe we. And I still haven't. Yeah.
Well, maybe he should. He's like pissed. He's angry, clapping back at people. And no matter how angry. Lincoln Riley is at the media for questioning his job and his future.
Remember, he said last week, "Nobody like they hit what he's given up to be the coach out here." Okay, no matter how angry is, he doesn't come close to the anger of the face-eating leopards known as the Ohio State fan base. Oh man. Losing to an unranked team doesn't matter. That the kid quarterback might not be ready for the moment doesn't matter. Thought he was going to play this.
Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. You got talent out there. There is talented players all over the field for the Ohio State.
They're going to be professional football players, most of them.
Well, welcome, welcome to the party, pal. In terms of quarterbacks that might not be ready for the big spotlight in the Big Ten, good lord! Indiana bench John Hoover over the weekend. Yep.
Well, he's been. Pardon me, Hoover. They bench. He benched Hoover. He's been straight on.
Okay. UCLA's undefeated top five. Michigan's got to play the Bruins the week before the Ohio State. Oh my goodness! UCLA's undefeated.
They're they're they're hurtling towards the Big Ten championship game, as it currently stands. And the Ohio State's got a take on Nebraska and Nebraska Northwestern, and Chip Kelly's coming for him. Good Lord! Could you imagine if they beat him in a shoe? Oh boy!
And then on top of it, could you imagine as Ohio State falls out of the top ten with two losses? Could you imagine if Michigan beats Ohio State this year? We're having trouble tying our shoes on occasion. Oh man, they're not going to make the playoff, right? Oh, they can.
Ohio State wins. All they got to do is just get two losses. That's it. What if they get a third? That's it.
I don't know about that, pal. Then what's the point? Great question. I don't know. I don't know.
All I know is that this kid—he got me up screaming, and he leapt over. This is have you not seen this play? I haven't. Oh God, it's pretty dope, bro. He's going, and you're thinking, okay, he's he's looking for contact.
Nope, he hurdles over him, and then goes 70 yards, almost for the touchdown. That's one of the greatest football plays I've ever seen. He's a tight end, certainly. Since again, it led to the Ohio State Buckeye fan base turning to eat their faces off again. Oh man, he jumps right over that dude.
It's it's part and parcel of Ohio State loss. Just the fact that God bless Ryan Day's not allowed to lose. He's never allowed to lose. He just can't lose. Not allowed to lose ever, ever.
He's barely lost since being the head coach there. I know it's it's kind of insane. I know. Tell Albert Breer to calm down. I'm not.
I'm not conversing with him on this subject matter. You guys still be? He's 88 and 14. I know, like what, like what? I know.
He's one natty. Trust me. Chill out. With the ultimate respect, I'm, I'm seriously sitting here wondering. You know, by the way, I'm, I'm loving watching Tommy Car play football.
He's going to remain the quarterback. Is that right? Al said, "Yeah." I just saw it on the bottom. All right. I'm loving watching him play.
It's fun to watch him play. Team's better. Just wondered somebody.
Somebody. All right, I'm just going to leave it alone. I'm not like Portnoy over here. Um, I don't know. Miami and Notre Dame's playing this weekend.
That's a big one. There's tons of big games. This weekend we got paid on Tuesday talking about. Yeah, this weekend is massive. Oh, I just couldn't.
I mean, that was. A wild result, yeah. Georgia, Ole Miss, BYU, Utah, he's just Texas, Mizzou, cursing at people because he can't get up the tunnel fast enough. I don't, I don't know what the hell that was. Ryan Day, did you know this?
He was like right across there, standing there, like watching his Buckeyes limp off because some of these guys are hurt. Yeah, that was just awkward. I know. Eight four four two zero four. Rich, number to dial here on the program.
Sonic and Phoenix wants to chime in here. Hey, talk. I don't know. Let's ask. What's up, Sonic?
Oh, Rich. What's up? How's it going, Rich? Can you hear me? I can.
Can you hear me? All right, Sonic. Rich, come in, Sonic. I have. I'm here.
Great. I'm here. Yes. What's up, yo? I first of all have to tell you that you have been somebody I've always followed for years.
You are amazing. Thank you. You helped me get through the last two years of just a rough time in life. And you guys, as a show, make it funny and bring laughter, so it's wonderful. And I want to thank you all first for that.
It's our pleasure.
Now I need to unfortunately go after TJ. TJ, I think we have a problem. I think that your fandom for all of the many teams you have. Is what's causing everybody to not be successful, and the only reason right now that the Philadelphia Seventy Sixers are successful is because they have too many good players.
Okay, so I'm wondering if we need to really take that Dallas Cowboy contract and sign it, so some of us other Cowboy fans can really enjoy the rest of our fandom and maybe get a win here. Because I think you're the jinx, sir. Oh no, hey brother. Still, Phoenix. Let me.
I've been alive for four. It's Sonic. It's he's calling from Phoenix. Give the man some respect and call him Sonic.
So, I've been alive for four Super Bowls. I have vivid memories of three Super Bowls.
So, I was around when that happened. I don't think I'm the problem. I think there are some other problems, but I don't think it's me.
Well, I don't know because you moved out of out of Pitt, out of out of Pennsylvania '99.
So maybe it's just been something since you've moved out of of Pennsylvania. You're causing us all kinds of harm. Wow! I listen. You live in Phoenix, first of all.
No, hold on a second, Brock. And you got a Brockman. You know this is true.
Well, I mean, you're asking the real mush of the Rich Eisen show. He's the wrong one. As if there's anyone a mush that said anything here in this not studio. Not true. It's him.
Take on bridge, but although you are you are you are coming on strong. Ever since Oregon gave you a pair of shoes, yeah. But my goodness, Sonic, you can't help that. I can't help that. I mean, Seattle.
I mean, Lanning might sign a certificate. Demanding a return of the shoes.
Well, you know he can't have them back.
Okay. First of all, Sonic, there's very few people who pound the table for the Cowboys and are very realistic about them more than I am.
So I don't know, man. Ladies and gentlemen, I take umbrage with you, Sonic. Bringing the knuckle, Sonic. Ladies and gentlemen, about to knock the Sonic coins out of this. Thank you, call and the WeatherTech family.
I always a rack him. If we had a rack, we would rack him. First of all, the audacity. I'm the most. Even killed cowboy fan that there is, Chris, and you can agree with this.
I don't really. Let's go to Reuben in Florida. Reuben, what's up, Reuben? Hey, how are you, Rich? What's up, Reuben?
Reuben, how are you, Rich? I'm doing well, Reuben. What's going on with you, sir? You're on the air. I'm doing.
I'm doing good, Rich. I live in Fleming Iron, Florida.
Okay, like around. Thirty to forty minutes south of Everbank Field, here in the Jacksonville area.
Okay, sir. I'm a longtime Giants fan, but I got to give kudos to the Jacksonville Jaguars. You can. They are playing good now. New Polly will tell me.
Well, they haven't played really tough teams. I wouldn't say that. But if they can beat Baltimore this Thursday, yes, sir. And if they win like at least eighty to ninety percent of the remaining schedule, yes, sir. I honestly believe that they can be.
Contenders in the playoffs and probably playing in the AFC Championship. Ruben, I I I cannot deny a word you just said. Thank you for the call there from Duval County. You take a look at Jacksonville's schedule. They are first up against the Ravens in a couple of days, and if Lamar was playing, we'd be having a different conversation about the likelihood of the Jacksonville Jaguars winning a second consecutive game.
But it does appear there's going to be a Third string quarterback Joe Fagnano of of UConn fame getting that start, and then they're at Tennessee. That Jacksonville Giants game is going to be a paint swapper, man. That's going to be fun. They got the another game against Tennessee. At Chicago is a great one on Monday night.
Or against Pittsburgh, there are going to be some fun ones. This looks like thirteen wins to me.
Well, the division, like I said, Jacksonville was on a buy wrap last week, not this week. On their buy after they just lost to Houston in London. Houston loses to the Giants. Yep.
The Titans trade Jeffrey Simmons, and the Colts fire sale their way into Jacksonville just to get curb stomped. That's a nice buy. You're goodbye. I'm gonna say it. I'm sorry to say it.
Goodbye. I'm sorry to say it. I'm not the mush here. It's already been established. Others in this place are.
Of any of anybody to, I'll say it high register just to make sure I'm not accused of anything. Oh, a broadcaster, Jinx, out of anybody in the National Football League right now, the Jaguars should be the most comfortable printing a playoff ticket. Oh, yes, yeah, you might be on there.
Something there, Rich.
Okay, the Titans have one win. The Colts are selling their team off, and the Texans have two wins. Yeah, I think you make make you make playoff dates for sure.
Now, here is the question: Although the Texans just beat them, so the Texans are three back, but if one of them is against Jacksonville, they're kind of two back, right? Are they in the first game up Saturday Wild Card Weekend?
Well, I mean that's the that's where the AFC South is. Yeah, that's already written. I think it's there's a constitutional amendment that was passed by Congress. You know, that's something we all can. The NFL would have its antitrust exemption threatened if they put an AFC South team in prime.
Oh, well, hold on a minute. They did. Jacksonville did take on the Chargers in primetime one year, didn't they?
So that's not always, but for the most part, okay. I'm saying, dude, you over there. I'm trying to be nice to Duvon. I am. I love going there.
No, you don't. To do? Oh, you do. That's where you're an actor. That's where you're an actor.
An actor and a golfing champion. They know you down in Jacksonville. Thank you. Yeah, know me. They know you.
They know you in Jacksonville as an actor. Kevin Rom invitation. Actor.
Okay. Let's take a break here on the Rich Eisen Show. We'll wrap up this Monday program in just a matter of moments right here. Here, the actor and the mush. Hey!

The Rich Eisen Show, the podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, as a sports fan, I know how this goes. You step away for thirty seconds to grab a drink. Of course, that's when the big play happens. That's one of the reasons why I use Sono at home.
It's a whole home sound system designed to work together, so what I am listening to can follow me from the living room to the kitchen. It helps me stay connected to the moment, so I don't have to pause the game until I come back. Pausing the game—I don't know—that is a provocative act in my house. Oh, that's why I got Sonos. Love the sound, feel the system.

Okay, everybody. Boy, the invective on my socials right now about Michigan and Ohio State. They're not very happy with me. Are they ever happy with you, though? Justin in Chicago.
Let's take his call. What's up, Justin? Come on, guys. What's up? I just wanted to rant real quick about something that's been on my mind heavy.
Ryan Day, as a fellow Buckeye, I appreciate everything he's done for the program, but I think it's time. You know, he's gotten way more chances than anybody else would have gotten. I think he has something over the board that they won't let him go. You know, just putting it in perspective between Trestle and Myers. Ryan has lost more time to that school up north, and they coached together for seventeen years combined.
Nobody has lost four consecutive games to that school since John Cooper. I believe that it might be time for him to go, and somebody that will be a great replacement would be none other than Mike Tomlin. I know nobody's thinking about it. I want to be the first to say it. Let me say it.
And if he called Ohio State right now, would you seriously hang up the phone? Because you got Ryan Day. Let me just make a move, Justin. Justin, two things. There's a lot of schools north of Columbus.
Which school are you referring to? Ah, you know which school I'm talking about. All right, so you're a diehard. Do you really think Mike Tomlin? You think Mike Tomlin sitting in his current position there on NBC where he wins every single week?
And if he misses coaching so badly, he wants to go to a spot where if he loses fourteen games, fourteen games in nine in nine seasons, Justin, the Justins in Chicago are going to be demanding he gets fired. Do you think that's the job he wants, Justin? Never say never. I think every great man has respect for a great challenge. Mike Tomlin would not step down.
I believe he's that guy. No, I. He definitely is a guy who appreciates a challenge. But why? I mean.
Why would you? I mean, it sounds like somebody up north might be afraid of you know that transition happening. That's all I'm hearing. Listen, I'm I'm currently geographically. If you want to GPS me, I'm south of where you are, sir.
I'm south of where you are.
Southwest. But where's your heart? Oh, okay. No, it's definitely up north. Thanks for the call, Justin.
Let me just say this.
Okay, thank you. Let me just say this from that phone call. Do I need to repeat that he's eighty-eight and fourteen? Do you pick up what I put down nine when I talk about this subject matter?
Okay. Ryan Day went up north and ended that losing streak emphatically last year. Emphatically last year.
Okay, and handled himself with such class and dignity. I apologize to the way that I acted the year before, to the point where. Who just apologized to him? It was Charlie Becker of of Indiana apologized to him after losing to Ohio State about the way that he acted after beating Ohio State last year. But you see where I'm picking up what I'm putting down when it comes to this school and the fans and how they like eating their faces off.
And you think they should just be 14 and 0 every year? If Michigan, oh, it's sitting right there, Kyle. I know Urban's your best buddy. He's doing you no favors. He is absolutely burying your program every time he's in front of a microphone.
He's taking that opportunity. He's been right a lot, to be honest. Um, but oh man, first of all, just a primer if you need it. This week against Michigan State, it's not just must win; it's must dominate.
Okay, that's number one, but oh god, if Michigan goes into the horseshoe this time around, after what's been going on with our program all year long, it's set up. It's ripe. It's ripe. Yeah, but miles to go, miles, miles, miles. Yeah, miles to go.
Imagine Tomlin having to start recruiting. He's not going to do that. But that's Ohio State. It's a great program. Every time I hear, "Oh, you know what this coach X, Y, and Z could do with R setup in a way that Ryan Day is not," dude, you got to have a conversation with a diehard Buckeye fan for just ninety seconds before you realize you are talking to somebody who is insane.

At Hyundai, the SUV trophy shelf is getting a little out of hand because U.S. News and World Report named Hyundai the best SUV brand. That's five out of six years with hybrid SUVs like the premium and capable Palisade, the adventure-built Santa Fe, and the tech-infused Tucson. Which means at this point, the shelf will need its own structural support system and a dedicated construction crew. Probably need those little visitor hard hats too.
