Okay.
So that's how we roll. into Super Bowl week. Super Bowl 55 week has arrived. Chris Brockman, my producer across the way, good to see you, sir. Hey, buddy.
Mike Del Tufo, my audio executive, as he likes to be called, back from whatever the hell he was doing for Fox. And my social media grandma, TJ Jefferson, has just settled into his seat. Hello, Wisconsin. And he's going, well, you got a great smile on your face because you've got a WWE superstar Drew McIntyre. We got this program.
He just dispatched with Goldberg last night. And uh on behalf of fellow Jews, I'll say it's okay. And so he'll be on this show later on. Maurice Jones Drew is going to be on this program. Kyler Murray is first up on 18 Minutes Time to help us kick off our week.
And the Bruce Arians whisper. Carson Palmer. Joining us at the very end of this program, phoning in from Idaho, great state of Idaho, where we're also on. We're also on in the great state of Idaho. He will be calling in.
We're five wide to kick off Super Bowl 55. If this was Sesame Street, we'd be brought to you by the number five. What are you smoking, bro? Give me some. Thank you.
Bruce Arians. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. He dropped that line on us last week when we had him on two days after making the Super Bowl. And I told him, I said, when you, he's been a longtime friend of this program on our podcast days, Christopher. He has been.
Maybe 10 years ago. Long time. When he first took the gig, you know, in Arizona, we had him on. And talking about him being quote unquote retired by the Pittsburgh Steelers. And he's on his drive home with some of his belongings with his wife.
Thinking that his football coaching career was over, and his phone rang, and it was Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Bogano calling him. And he said his wife said to him, Oh, bleep, you're going to take this job, aren't you? And he did, and he wound up coaching Andrew Luck, wound up being an interim coach, winning coach of the year, which he won again with the Arizona Cardinals. And now here is a Tampa Buccaneers coach of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. And that's one of the storylines.
Every single year on this show, we're seven years old. For those of you who are in our seventh year right now, six plus years old. For those of you who may not know, If you are new to us every year for the Super Bowl, normally we're at the site. Obviously, COVID-19 takes care of that this year. Normally we're at the site, and I'll give you the top 10 storylines of the week.
That's what I do for a living as well with NFL Network: I tap into storylines. I give you the storylines before you hear them or before you get nauseous of them as we're waiting for the Super Bowl to kick off. Top 10 storylines of Super Bowl 55 coming up, and you at 844-204-RICH if you want to have a conversation. And here we are in the week. It's the beauty of the NFL.
You never know whether. The story is going to come from the narrative generating machine that is the NFL. It is Super Bowl week, and not just any Super Bowl week. Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl Week.
Defending Super Bowl champs against Tom Brady trying to When his seventh And the first quarterback to ever play a game on his home turf at a Super Bowl this week. And here we are talking about Matthew Stafford. Yeah. Go figure. Go figure, man.
Go figure. That's the NFL for you. Look at us. And we're talking about Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff. And the Size Here in Los Angeles, California.
The church bells. I'm the general manager of the Los Angeles Rams. Less need.
Okay.
So Let's just smash cut back to the uh Super wild card weekend. of these playoffs. Rams at Seahawks. John Walford's getting the start. Even though Jared Goff went and got the surgery on his throwing thumb that he hurt and broke in week 16.
John Walford, fresh off of beating our first guest, Kyler Murray. who was injured in that week 17 game. To help the Rams make the playoffs, Walford gets the start. And golf is the backup.
Okay, he's healthy enough to go, but we're going with John Walford because he's got all the snaps or stuff, whatever. There was something up with that. That's weird.
Something up with that. As we know, Walford got injured almost right off the bat. Jamal Adams hit him. In the head, Jamal Adams, a Thursday Rich Isen Show Super Bowl Week guest. And Walford's out.
In comes Goff. They win the game. They win the game. And then we find out throughout the week that we'll see how Walford is. You're like, what's up with that?
And then Steve Weitz, my NFL media group. Colleague? After the Rams were eliminated by the Packers, says That the McVeigh golf relationship needs some form of marriage counseling. Then, McVay speaks and says that all positions on the team, including the quarterback, will be evaluated this offseason. And then the aforementioned Les Needs says.
In relation to Goff's status on the team, he drops the. What were the words that Aaron Rodgers used? Beautiful mystery, right? Beautiful mystery. Twice, and then did the.
dreaded for the moment. What do I mean by that? Chris Brockman, ask me who's my, who I live with. Who I live with. Rich.
When you go home each day. Who do you live with? I live with my wife, Susie Schuster, who I love very much. Fantastic. For the moment.
Oh, see how those three words can change it? See how those three words get the person who I'm talking about saying, what's up with that? What's up with that? Jared Goff is now a Detroit line. In a trade that's straight out of the NBA, here we'll give you somebody.
who can play for you but is particularly cost prohibitive. And in order for you to take this salary and this player, we'll give you more. What's the more? Two first round picks and a third round pick. Third round picks this year.
And the two first round picks. Are not just this, not this year. They're. Two years and three years from now. Two drafts and three drafts from now because the Rams don't have a first-round pick to give this year, because Jalen Ramsey.
Is on the team. That belongs to Jacksonville. And The Los Angeles Rams. My daughter, seven years old right now, she will be bot Mitzvah. Yeah.
For those scoring at home, that's 13 years old. By the time the Rams choose the first-round pick again, it seems like. In between first-round picks. Obviously, they're going to choose first in the 2024 draft unless Lesney trades that away. Yeah.
And here's what I have to say about it. You're sitting here thinking, you're giving up all this for Matthew Stafford? Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Matthew Stafford, by the end of this trade, will either get everybody in Los Angeles fired.
Or turn out to be the Barry Sanders or the Calvin Johnson of his generation with the lions, which is Lions did that to this guy. Except Calvin and Barry didn't say, I want out, and then get out. like Stafford has done. He's coming to Los Angeles. And he's bringing that arm.
He can sling this pill. He's going to be in an offense. Do you know how many times? Out of 166 career starts, He's had a 100-yard rusher. I'll do it for you.
Don't worry, I'll tell you. 11. Wow. With the Rams next year. And the Rams look across the landscape and they see Brady turning 44 and they see Rogers turning his age 38.
and they see Breeze is out. They see Matt Ryan getting long in the tooth. They look at the Cowboys and Dak. They look at across the way. And all they need to do is look in their own division maybe for their toughest long term competition.
Quite frankly. And Stafford's just two years. You get out from under the golf contract. And less need is sitting there saying, okay.
Okay.
I'm looking at the way the Buccaneers are doing it. They're winning right now.
Okay, I've got Aaron Donald in the prime of his career.
Okay, I've got Jalen Ramsey in the prime of his career.
Okay.
Let's win right now. The Rams made this trade. looking at the bucks As the first home team in the history of the Super Bowl, and he's saying, let's make it two for two. That's what he's sitting here thinking.
So is McVeigh. And if you're sitting here wondering Well, look, the Rams just mortgaged their future. Matthew Stafford, what has he done? If you are at all thinking that. And is there a lot of people on the planet thinking that all that for Matthew Stafford is turning 33 on Super Bowl Sunday?
You did all that? Yes, you did. Yes, you did. Because he can sling it and he's never had a team around him. like the one the Rams are gonna surround him with next year.
And Les Need has got the youngest roster entering 2020. They had the youngest roster entering 2020 and built the first-ranked defense around that team and have Cam Akers and have an offensive line. That's getting yes with Whitworth long in the tooth, but that is set. Cup is set. Woods is coming back.
Just add Stafford, you have yourself an outstanding chance to win the NFC. You really do. You really do. And then, if you are even with all of that, wondering. If the Rams did the right thing.
Ask yourself this question. Let's just say There's another team in the NFL. Not just this one, Christopher. Let's just say there's another team in the NFL who drafted, traded up. In the 2016 draft, to choose a quarterback as their first round selection in the top.
Three. Like golf. Let's just say they like the Rams, sign him earlier than other teams would sign a prospect. before their first year con their first iteration of their contract is up. Let's just say they sign that guy.
To a nine-figure deal. The ass. Let's say that that guy gets signed with a nine-figure deal, and let's say that guy after signing the nine-figure deal. suddenly doesn't perform as well. and suddenly leaves the coaching staff wondering if he's the guy.
How about instead of trading for Stafford and using your draft choices and just saying to hell with it, let's go for it right now? Let's just say you've drafted another quarterback. Unlike the Rams, this is where we diverge. You've drafted a quarterback, another quarterback, who you turn to belatedly and reluctantly. but has shown that he can actually perform in this 21st century league.
Let's just say that team is the Philadelphia Eagles.
Okay, random. Talk about handling a situation differently, huh? Unreal. Fire the coach that went to the Super Bowl. Rams hold on to theirs.
Fire that coach. Get rid of him. Get a guy who's never done it before, saddle him with the decision-making. Hold on to the guy. and see if he still wants to be there or what.
Malcolm Jenkins was on Friday. Former Eagle said that the Coaching staff prior to this current one. Coddled him a little too bit too much. Coddled him a bit.
So I ask you this question. Would you rather take the Eagles' approach to their quarterback situation and their guy from twenty sixteen, second overall in Carson Wentz? Or would you rather have the Rams approach? Let's see how both work out. I would rather have the Rams approach.
Now, you can say they don't have the same round. Oh, Fletcher Cox is pretty damn good right in the middle of that defensive line. They got. Aaron Donald. Right?
They don't have the same back end of the defense in Jalen Ramsey.
Well, they have some pretty damn good players. That won the division just last year. I'll take the Rams approach. Yeah. Every time.
Every time. Twice on Sunday, I will take it. Because at least the ramp, you guys are season ticket holders. You're now even thinking twice about reselling your tickets if you're allowed back in the stadium, like you did every single time. We didn't get to go this year.
Sarah is so excited to see Matthew Stafford. Her voicemail still says. You've reached Saratiana and Matthew Stafford.
Okay.
Well, she's a Georgia Bulldog. She's a Georgia Bulldog. He's a Georgia Bulldog. She's so pumped. And I will say this, too, because obviously we're paying attention to the Rams, because what the Rams did, and they gave up.
And it was a guy who was first overall in 2016 and were swapping first overall quarterbacks for each other. That's the first time that's ever happened, by the way. And it's a rarity, and the Rams were the team that made the divisional round. The Lions. Good luck.
Make sure you make the right decisions with these draft choices. Golf is The word for it? is something here on this show we view as a negative, solid. He has won more the only quarterback who's won more games in the last since being drafted since Goff was drafted is Brady. They won a ton of games here with him, and he made the Super Bowl.
But clearly something was up. Clearly something was up. And like I said, A game against the Packers is a game where Goff, you know, and again, he was injured, whatever. That's the moment you want him to just say, okay. I'm the next Big time quarterback in this league.
I'm going to go into Green Bay and I'm going to outplay Aaron Rodgers, and we're going to move on with this defense. Didn't happen. And I guess the Rams have just seen enough. And if you've seen enough, Rip the band-aid off, man. Go for it.
I love it. I I love it. And yeah, you know, they gave up a lot to give golf, and now they don't have a lot of draft choices. Lesnar's betting on himself. I got the scouting.
I've got the knowledge. I'll I'll I'll figure out what to do with My second round pick and my third through seventh, all fine guys. Look at that defense. How many of them do you know of? Less knows of 'em.
844-204-RICH is the number to dial. Chris, unpack our poll question so we'll be on time for Carla Murray here on the Rich Island Show. Big Super Bowl anniversary today, guys. Six-year anniversary. Six years ago today, Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson.
At the goal line. They give the Patriots and Tom Brady their fourth Super Bowl championships on the Super Bowl. We're going to stick with the Tom Brady Super Bowl theme this week since he's been to so many and he's been playing for so long.
So, since 2001. What's the most jaw-dropping play in Super Bowl history? Jaw-dropping play of the Tom Brady Super Bowl era. The Butler pick. The Tyree helmet catch.
James Harrison's pick six. against the Cardinals in Super Bowl 43 right before the half. And the Philly special. Philly special. Right before halftime, Super Bowl 52.
At Rich Eisen, show to vote. 844-204, Rich, number to dial. Maurice Jones, Drew, WWE Superstar, Drew McIntyre, Charles Woodson, who's going to go in the Hall of Fame this weekend. And Carson Palmer. But coming up next, Kyler Murray.

I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Thanks for having me. You bet. You made the Super Bowl.
Here. You're not even. I don't even know if you're going to be in the league yet or not. I guess we'll find that out. Yeah, we will.
What did it mean for you to win the Heisman Trophy? That was a dream come true. I mean, it's still really. hasn't really set in. It's weird.
I don't say my life changed, but I just. Everywhere I go, people notice me, stuff like that.
So, something I've always dreamed of, obviously.
So, you know, I'm not surprised by any of the reactions and stuff like that, but it's definitely a blessing.
Okay, and where is that trophy right now? I sleep next to it. It's on your nightstand? Yeah. So it's good morning Heisman every day.
Yeah, type. Seriously, it's right there next to, like, there's a night table next to Kyler Murray's bed and the Heisman trophy's resting on it. Yes, sir. That's amazing. Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and you've had it in your arms like you've been spooning with it?
No, no, no, no, there's no spooning. There's no Heisman spooning. And by the way, I would absolutely spoon with the Heisman if I won the Heisman. I've only received the Heisman. It was asking for prom dates back in high school.
I got the Heisman a lot. Oh, gosh, a light senior. Fantasy name? Heisman Spooning? Heisman Spooning is a great fantasy team name.
Now taking part in the Rich Eisen Show Throw Challenge. Kyler Murray, is this the first NFL Duke ball that you have thrown? That's an NFL. Oh my god, you won't even answer that. Wow.
Go for it, Carla. Go for it. That's one There's someone here we go. Two Carlo Gumari everybody. Three?
By the way. That's four. Those are all Duke NFL footballs. Just wanted everyone to know that. First overall picks.
No, first of all, that's four. That's fun. These are the footballs Kurt Warner complained about. That sticks. That's And whoa.
Yeah. That's it. Oh my goodness. He looks good some here. We go.
Keep going. Can you go one more? Hold on, this is getting bad. Here we go, no. Yeah, it's getting bad.
You got seven per first seven. Good enough. Seven out of ten. Oh no, they're CNS to say. Congratulations, he won the Heisman and it seems the rich Eisen throwing contest in the same year.
That's a first. No one could ever take that away from you.

Kyler Murray calling in in a matter of moments here on The Rich Eisen Show. And one other thing about the Rams trade as well: Brad Holmes is the general manager of the. Of the Lions. He was signed, hired off of the Rams staff. He's a person of color.
which means uh the Rams get a compensatory third-round pick. because Holmes of being a person of color was hired.
So the Rams trading a third-round pick away. in this draft, they're going to get one back from the league. Would you give two first rounders up? And that's another thing, too, that you would, that's a steep price. But one thing that I want to point out here is this market is now set for Deshaun Watson.
Holy shit. And that's the bottom. That is. Two first rounders, a third rounder, and a quarterback that's played in the league for. Four plus years.
At age 26. Very expensive. That's the that's the floor. For Deshaun Watson. Because Goff, while playing in a Super Bowl, has that on his resume that Watson does not have.
Deshaun Watson has won one postseason game. That's it. Goff won that many this year.
Well, technically, John Walford has the win because Wolford got the start. Right. Goff got the finish, the hold, the save, if you will. Outside of that, though, I don't think there's any comparison. I will take Watson over Goff.
Twice a day, three times on Sunday, four times on a Thursday, five times on a Monday night. This is all stuff to, I guess, put a pin in it and think about. As we move forward. We'll talk more about it. Today, Maurice Jones Drew, WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, Charles Woodson, who's going to hear his name.
For Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinment this coming weekend on NFL Honors Night on Saturday night. And Carson Palmer, who knows a thing or two about winning playoff games. with Bruce Arians, all on the program, but we turned to One of the best in the business. Pleased to have as my first guest here of Super Bowl Week on behalf of the Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year award from the Arizona Cardinals, the offensive rookie of the year last year, Kyler Murray. How are you doing, Kyler?
I'm doing good. How are you? I'm doing better for talking to you.
So, Kyler, are you going to play baseball or football? I won't play baseball. I'm sorry, because I'm sorry. These are my questions from Super Bowl. I still have my list of questions from Super Bowl 53.
I'm going to place those aside. Yeah. For the moment. Mm. When was the last time you threw a bunny?
Thank you, Kyler. I'm just trying.
So, when was the last time you threw a baseball? When was the last time that happened? Man, um Uh Couldn't tell you. No kidding. I couldn't tell you.
I don't I don't remember.
Alright. All right, and the last time you threw a football was week 17, correct? No, I've thrown the ball recently.
Okay, good.
So I guess that's how my first question is for you. How are you feeling? How are you feeling physically? right now off of the season the the rigors of that season, Kyler. Uh I mean Mentally I feel good.
Um, physically, you know, got hurt obviously that last uh on the first drive of the last game, just rehab him. And then once Once I get back to 100, hit the ground running, start working out again and stuff like that. Mentally, I'm I'm feeling good. obviously disappointing into the season. But I think we made strides in the right direction.
That's not what it's about, but you know, we didn't do what we wanted to get to. I think we got a lot of, you know, a lot of work to do to get to, you know. Playing this week.
So so that's my question for you: is now you got Stafford in your division. We all know that the 49ers are going to come back healthy, and we all know again what Seattle is going to do. What steps of improvement for you personally do you think you can make and will make in the 2021 season, Kyler Murray? For me personally, I believe this one is really taking care of the ball. I think the plays are there to be made.
Um And you know, I I think I made you know, I made a jump out of year one to year two, but So I I think there's more there's even more pledge to be made Um, as as a whole, as a team, I think you just, you know, Take care of the little things. um pay more attention to detail and and really respect the little things because Um ultimately, you know, those those add up. I think that came back to Biders in the second half of the season. where we ended up not making playoffs whereas we felt um at the beginning we were easily going to make it.
So it's um We got a lot of work to do. We just gotta get we we gotta get better all around, so What is the little thing? Can can you give me an example of one of the little things? Kyler that came back to bite you? Pretty sure we led the league in penalties, and you know, that's not winning football, that's not championship football.
Um and no no sport ever if you lead the league in Phillips he's are you going to be probably as successful as you want to be?
So That's just that's just one of the areas, but um No, I think as a teammate, like I said, you know, We're playing, I think, the toughest division in the NFL. Um and like you said, the forty nine is coming right healthy. The Rams guys are great guy, and great quarterback in Matt Stafford. The Seahawks, obviously, you know, they're consistent. Um and you know we we we gotta match that uh Yeah.
Kyler Murray here on The Rich Eisen Show on behalf of the Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year award, and we'll get to that in a second.
So when big life-changing moments potentially or memorable moments happen, you definitely remember where you were when you first learned about it.
So where were you when you learned that DeAndre Hopkins was coming to Arizona? Color. I was in Dallas, Texas. I just got done with a workout. This was two weeks prior to the announcement, actually.
So, you know, what's I? I saw the text come across my phone and I couldn't I couldn't believe it, you know, just 'cause I was He was the last person that I was expecting. This may even come across my phone and when it did. Um I immediately went to YouTube, checked it, you know, watched his highlights. I already knew what he was capable of and you know what type of guy player he is.
But I just had to go watch for myself. And it was a great day for sure.
So you kept that under your hat for two weeks? Before it was announced? It it was it was tough because I felt like I was being lied to. Every day kept passing by and I was like, You know, Like wh when the hell are y'all gonna announce? Like is is it ever gonna happen?
And um Yeah, so that was the story. Especially for a second-round pick, Connor. I mean, that's just insanity that's crazy. And then for crazy, right? And then for your second year to have DeAndre Hopkins at your.
In your huddle, at your disposal. And then there was that moment, I think it was against Dallas. Can you walk me through where you it looked like you were smiling because you knew he was open? And you didn't even grip the ball by the strings, you threw it to him. Is that what happened in that game?
Kyler? No, that was. I want to say that was Thursday night against the Seahawks.
Okay.
Seahawks. Right. But um yeah, no, I I don't know. where the smiling came from, I think that was just a facial expression that I made. Um We you know, that was a point of practice where We we looked up to the sideline and snapped the ball unexpectedly.
I knew I knew once I had one on one, it was it was pretty much a wrap.
So that's a good feeling to have a guy out there that can catch the ball wherever you throw it. And it appears, do you think that Larry Fitzgerald is going to step away? Carla Murray, what's your sense on that? Right now. He's trying to set me up.
I honestly don't know. I don't know. I mean, I know he's capable of coming back and playing. Um Yeah, but that's Larry's gonna make that decision. He's obviously a legend regardless of what he does.
No, I would love to have him back, but yeah, that's on him. I don't mean to set you up. I'm just sussing out what you're. No, no, and I totally understand. I'm putting you in a position where you might retire him, and it's his decision to make and to announce.
And he's a really special guy. But I guess my question: I don't want him to go. You know what I mean? Like, I don't want him to leave. He's still got.
Enough, and he's so damn special. What has he brought to you? What has he taught you? What have you gleaned from him, Kyler Murray? What have you gleaned from him?
Yeah, I mean, I I I get what you're saying. I feel like it's like a Like watching a LeBron, you know, kind of retired type of thing, like D-Wade or, you know, one of those, like, one of those guys. um, finally, you know, putting the cleats up, it it'd probably be sad Because I've been watching them my whole life.
So to now be you know, be in the locker room with him and play with him is, you know, even crazier. Um, but no, he meant a lot, man. He means he means a lot to the organization. Um, he means a lot to the state of Arizona. Obviously, you know, everybody calls him Larry Ledler, he's got a nickname.
Um, you know, he's been great throughout the community and stuff like that. Like I said, I mean, he's treated like a king. Um So it it would you know it'd be unfortunate to lose him for sure. But like I said, he's got to make the decision for himself. and uh you know I'll be I'll be rocking with him regardless of what he does, so So let's talk about your Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year award.
You won the chain in week 10 of the regular season. I believe that was the. Hale Murray moment, correct? Yep, that probably was. 60 grand, that chain is worth.
What was it like to have that piece of jewelry? Kyler, with that play. Yeah, it was an honor. Um, you know, uh week ten hits the bills. Um I had a pretty good game, so I was honestly like, it wasn't, in my eyes, it wasn't the craziest game, but.
Statistically, but I was surprised I got you know, I won this award, but you know, like I said, it's an honor to win it. Um, like you said, valued at sixty thousand dollars. Um made by Ben Baller. It's it's a Ben Baller, right? I don't know if you've ever seen it, but it's it's it's a it's a beautiful chain.
Um it's around my neck right now, so I feel pretty good.
Okay, it's on your around your neck right now. Can you describe it for me, Kyler? I've seen it, but w What does it look like from your perspective, Richard? I mean, it's gone, it's got Hungry on it. It's got, you know, the As to Snickers logo.
I wish I could sell it to you, but. Um It's got 2,300 stones in it, 3K carrots. Um No, and I get to uh, you know, donate to the first response in Arizona, so it's a It's a great deal. All right.
Well, you could take a picture of it at Rich Eisen Show from at K1. You know, we'll take that for sure. And then we'll retweet it. It's called Going Violent. I'll load that up in a minute.
I appreciate that, Carla. That would be great.
Now, just like all sorts of great plays and great throws, were you staring at the ground when DeAndre high-pointed that one? Were you on the ground? Where were you? Did you see it? Did you look up at the screen?
Walk me through the Hail Murray from your perspective. Yeah, I actually. I got the. We actually got a video in the angle of just me when the play happens. Um everybody kept asking me after work and I gave them like multiple different answers because I didn't know.
until I saw the video just ha it happened so fast, like, you know, it was one of those moments where Usually, you're watching YouTube or watching the TV when it happens, but for myself to actually be in the moment. It was uh it was pretty crazy. And uh I think I watched on the big screen. I took the video the video show, at least. No kidding.
I don't know if you're aware, uh, Kyler, um, when you completed that pass. You didn't just win the game for the Arizona Cardinals. You won the game for Fantasy leagues for me, my buddy Chris Brockman, TJ Jefferson, our social media grandmaster. Literally, all three of us, you won the game for us because we all were wise enough to draft Kyler Murray in our draft this year. Just wanted to get some points for that.
I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Appreciate you. Oh, my gosh. No, right back at you.
So that was 43 yards. How far can you throw a football? What's the l what what what do you got for me? Honestly, I I don't even know come on Come on. I honestly have no idea.
Come on. It's not like I'm asking you how far you can throw a baseball. How far can you throw a football? Come on. What do you got?
Come on, Kyler. I'm not one of those dudes that I'm not one of those dudes that just goes out and like, you know, watches the ball, but I would say 60, you know, 60.
Okay, so Kingsbury's just got to get you to the what your own 40, your own 35, that we're good? Is that what you're saying? For future years. I might need a little bit more. The 35, that's it.
That's it. That's a long throw.
Okay.
That's like a Cordell throw, I guess, from back in the day, but.
Okay.
Yeah, like I might need a little more.
Okay.
A little more than that.
Okay.
Before I let you go, sir, give me a Super Bowl 55 prediction. Who do you think takes it? On Sunday, Kyler Murray. Oh no. obviously both great teams.
I I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Tom Brady. Why is that? Gotta go to Cog. Yeah. That's it.
Just T B? He's a Michigan guy, too, so I think you like that. Oh, you know you're talking my language, Kyler Murray. Come on now. Look at you buttering me up.
But and I appreciate that.
So that's you're going to go with him just because he's just Tom Brady, you can't go against him? Were you any X's and O's thoughts on it? Or what? Yeah, I was rooting for Aaron Rodgers, and you know, they ended up losing.
So, kind of the NSC thing. You know, I'm going with. I'm good I I and I mean you don't really you know it's kind of Prime upon him to go against, bet against Brady. You know, he's uh What is this? I I saw a stat like is this ten tenth Super Bowl, something crazy like that.
He just finds a way to win. That's what the dating is dude. You know, that's just who he is.
Well, I mean, to just give it perspective as to what he's doing right now, for you to play in the Super Bowl at Brady's age, you will have to start Super Bowl 75, Kyler. That's a fact. That's not an exaggeration. That would be the number. Super ball selling.
Yes, if you match Brady. By starting for the NFC in a Super Bowl. Yes. If for you to match him to play at his age for the NFC in the Super Bowl, you will have to be the starting quarterback. of Super Bowl 75.
That's a fact. Isn't that crazy? I gotta, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm on the chase right now.
Well, okay. And you at least, the first things first, right. First things first is offensive rookie of the year and then Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year. Connor, I appreciate the time and also the thrills on behalf of all of our fantasy teams and just being a fan of the NFL. I just love watching you play.
So let's stay in touch. Let's do this more than once every two years, if you don't mind, sir.
Sounds good to me.
Okay.
Appreciate it. And it's at Rich Eisen Show for the photograph. Oh, yeah, I got you. Thank you, Kyler Murray. Appreciate it.
That's Kyler Murray, right here. On, if you will, at Rich Eisen's show. That's at K1. Howard Murray is 23 years old. He would have to beat Tom Brady at age 43.
He will have to start Super Bowl 75. That is not just a number I've plucked out. For those Romans at home, Super Bowl LXXV.
Well done, Rich.
Well done. That's what it will have to be. Wow. Super Bowl 75 starter Kyler Murray. Hey, remember when he was the Snickers hungriest player of the week?
He was like, what? Yeah, I don't think he believed you. I think he dropped the S-bomb, didn't he? Oh, yeah. I think he did.
Which is, by the way, what we dropped when he's. Through the Hail Murray. Uh-huh. Rest of the country. That and amongst a few others.
That was so fun. Gabby Murray is so fun to watch. He is. He's so fun. You know, it's funny.
Dom Bowie, our EP, putting up the. The photographs. Th you know The shot of him, I forget which one, which game it was, but the shot of him. reaching the ball over the goal line as he's in full stride. Where no one's touching him.
He's running in. And everybody There's no defense for him. There it is against the Bills. Against the bills. It just was so exciting to watch.
He would just take off and then just run. Like the wind. You know?
So I need to, Chris, just do me a favor from now on.
Okay.
Make sure my notes from Super Bowl 53 are not on my desk.
So don't ask him a question like that: like, hey, are you playing baseball or football?
So it just removes the awkwardness. Would you please? He laughed about it. He shot our interview before he went on DP Live and went viral. And we're like, well, we're watching it on our Twitter feed before our show.
Well, wait till three hours from now. He's not going to shed any more light, whether he's playing baseball or football. We knew. We do what he was saying. It's just like you tape.
He's coming your way. He's coming down the hall. He just taped here. He's going live with you. Yeah.
But we knew he was playing football.
Well, you threw seven of ten footballs through our course, through the hole, through the donut. Seven for seven to start. We know. 844204 Rich number. When we come back, Chris Brockman gives you a news update.
A busy weekend in the world of sports. He'll catch us up on all that. We'll take some calls before our second hour where Maurice Jones Drew, who. Carl's Games of the Rams will talk about that. Trade and Drew McIntyre, WWE superstar.

Before you leave, I'd like to play a game that we've created here called Start Bench Cut. Similar to that. You know. Blank Mary kill game that we always used to play as kids.
Okay.
Did we, as kids, play that? Or as collegiate last week. We call it start bench cuts. You can have to start somebody, bench somebody, and cut somebody. And we have a Game of Thrones theme to it.
Yes. All right.
What's the first one, Chris Brockman? What do you got for that? The first one is your favorite Game of Thrones character.
Okay, hold on.
So give him the three. Yeah. Jon Snow, Jora Morma. You have to start cut. You have to start one.
Start bench cut. Bench one and cut. I'm starting Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains. Mm-hmm. I'm uh Bench Shinjorah and I'm Cutting John.
Cutting John. You can't have any rivalry. Johnny always try to in that way. He's scant. But he's trying to get in there right now.
Oh, my God. We got to cut John. Didn't see that coming. Oh, Kang. He's cutthroat.
But because we also knew in one of the many times we have conversations, you're a big Joro fan. I am. I am. And now that he's got the Bracio out, you know, he's...
Okay.
So John Snow's out. And John's out. He could be in.
Okay.
I don't think that matters. Yes, Game of Thrones. All right, give another one right there.
Okay, the nastiest MFer on Game of Thrones. You have to start one, you have to bench one and cut one. Ramsey Bolton. Walder Frey Joffrey. This fifth's nastiest.
I mean, you gotta start Ramsey. He's the worst of all. I mean, he is the woke, right? He's the worst of all time. Worst of all time.
I'm gonna bench Joffrey because he's close. You know, the stuff that he did, I mean, Sansa's put up with all this crap. From the men in her life. She's better than men. Exactly.
And so I want to base Baldu Frey. He's up there, but his death was exciting.
So you cut him. He's out. He's out. Okay.
Well, which he actually was, in fact, cut. Right, literally, from all that.
Okay.
And then we'll just do one more favorite movie.
Okay, the three choices are Shawshank Redemption. A fugitive. You've got mail. Start bench cut. I'm starting the fugitive.
I mean Tommy Lee and Harrison Ford fantastic. The best, right? I'm going to bench Shawshank. Phenomenal movie as well. And I'm cutting.
You've got no. It's not even the best Tom Hanks McBryan movie. Yeah, but it's modern times. Online and all that. It's sleepless in Seattle?
That was like a phone call on a radio show. Yeah, but you've got dial-up. You've got dial-up email. Come on now. You guys are wrong.
That's my favorite comment. It's not even the best Meg Ryan Tom Hanks movie. Right off of Aaron Rodgers' top of his dome. Yeah, but I mean, you sideswiped me on that one. He had no idea that you loved it until I told him and he's just like, it's not even the best.
Yeah. Back here on the Rich Eisen Show with our radio audience, 844-204-Rich, number to dial. Before we just get to your quick news update, you know what's going on right now? Media Day. Yeah, I can see it.
Normally it's at night. Normally, you know, Media Day used to be during the day, but then they moved it at night to have an event out of it. But there's no event to have this year because of COVID.
So the zooms are going down right now with. You know, I'm looking up right now, seeing on NFL Network Mike Evans and Shaq Barrett talking right now. Brady's already gone. Where he's going right now. I don't know.
I guess there's two different Zooms at once. I'll be hosting tonight. The wrap-up of this on NFL Network at 8 Eastern Time. I'm heading up the road after this. According to my buddy James Palmer.
Did you see this, Christopher? No. Let me do this before handing it off to your news update. James Palmer, my colleague from the NFL Media Group, monitoring the Tom Brady feed. Tom Brady was asked if he's still playing the way that he's played this season.
Would he play past the age of 45? Which, as you know, was his initial saying, I'll play till I'm 45. Quote, oh definitely.
Now The word that Kyler Murray dropped when I said to him in the last segment, hey. For you to match Brady and Playing a Super Bowl at the same age that Brady's playing in this one. He's currently 23. Just to add 20, I said to him, You'd have to play in Super Bowl 75. He thought I was joking.
He said, Oh, you know what? Poop. The S word.
So Tom Pretty's saying, oh, definitely. The rest of the NFC is like, oh, S-word. Yeah, you know who also might be playing in Super Bowl 75? Tom Brady. Tom Brady.
Tom Brady. With a walker. No, no, no, no. I mean, what do you mean? He could go take a dive in the cocoon pool.
Guys. Right? Be a little bit older. Dude, did you not see Hume Cronin the way he was able to move around after jumping in the pool with the eggs? Steve Gutenberg's eggs?
What? Is that Daddy Ease X? I regret Tom Brady plays a game as a 50-year-old. I would absolutely bet that. I don't know about that.
I don't know about that. By the way, great fantasy team named Brian Denhees Eggs. Does Brady have a pool with eggs? That's it. I don't know.
That's it. He's moved to Arctic. I don't know. Maybe Dick Vital's giving him a little bit of the tonic after drinking the Pepto. James Palmer also said apparently Giselle's out of town with the kids.
Brady's got the house to himself. Baby. Parte. Party time. He says all he's doing is watching film.
Antonio Brown used to come down. Yeah, and he goes to the cells taking the kids away. I'll just say this: the Bucks will win the game. The Bucks are winning the game. You guys need to prepare this.
I'm blown off the news here. Audible. I'm Omaha. Omaha. We'll do it later.
Do it in an hour or three when we've gotten all those sound bites and whatever. Thank you. You're breaking the rules, Rick. I'm kidding. Let me tell you this.
As a man with, does Brady, how many kids does he have? Does he have three kids with Giselle? He's got two with Giselle and one with Jimon. Three kids in the house. When, by the way, Susie has removed the children from the house like during a big game or whatever.
Take the kids out, you know, whatever. She's done that some Michigan Ohio State games and whatever, because she knows it's just bad to s for children to see dad like that. Um It's wait till you get there. You've got just the one, one little baby. Just one.
But when the kids are out of the house, the first Half hour, hour, it really is just like the greatest thing of all time. You remember what life used to be like, okay? Honestly, it's like, you remember that scene where George is skipping through Central Park? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, from Seinfeld?
That's what it's like. That's what Brady must be like right now. Like, that's where it's like. And then I'm, I'm, thankfully, I don't intend to go that road. I was just going to say it.
For the moment. For the moment. For the moment. Do you see how that ruins this? It ruins everything.
For the moment, it changes everything. Three little words can change everything. That's the exact word. I don't intend to go down that route ever, Mike, okay? Because, you know, it's tough to come back from that.
At least in this case, the children come home with your wife. But after a while. It gets really quiet now. And then you don't know any other way to live. And that's why I got them, you know, when my first one was born, Xander, now 12 years ago.
My buddy Doug, my poker buddy Doug, who's out there maybe listening on SiriusXM, he listens to us every day and. NBC Sports Audio. He told me when I said, You got any words of advice? He goes, The children. They just screw it all up.
You love them, but they screw it all up. Like, Brady's probably like, okay, I'm watching Phil. I am so locked in. Yeah. Um whatever stunts You know, Steve Spagnola is cooking up.
Because that is, by the way, I'll front-load it for you in hour number two when I give you my top 10 storylines of the Super Bowl week. That's one of them. Whatever Steve Spagnolo is cooking up. He's going to uncork from the 2007 Giants, okay? Whatever he's studying, after a while, when that tape goes off.
He's just looking around. Where are the kids? Where's Giselle? I'm wondering if they just removed the equation, not just to give him his space, give him some time, but. You know, in COVID-19, just get them out.
Let's not run the risk. Yeah, man. He's literally quarantining. Shutting it down. Let's just put it this way.
Okay.
With all due respect. Uh oh. But you know, this now has opened the door wide for me to say something thoroughly disrespectful. categorically disrespectful. With all due respect, When the country sits down.
On Sunday. and Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champs. come running out on that turf in Raymond James Stadium. And the whole country is settling in. getting ready for the buccaneers to run out on the field.
We do not want to see Blaine Gabbard take that first snap. Of Super Bowl 55. Gabbert V. Mahomes, totally different what we say, ball of wax.
So Maybe that's why Tom's sitting there by himself with the old film machine. The all 20, is it all 22 and chill? Like, is that what he's doing right now? Nice. Gabbert v.
Henney, different ring games.
Well, anything is possible. Henything's possible. Let's go to Jeremy in Alabama. We'll take his call. What's up, Jeremy?
Hey guys, Rich, it's good to be back. Thanks for being on. I have to I have to admit I was wrong a year ago.
Well, I after the call for the Gronkowski going to Tampa Bay. I said that Tampa Bay would be a would be a one in One playoff game and done. I thought they were going to go and make a wild card. Then I thought they were going to be gone. And I was wrong.
And I'm glad I was wrong because, man, they were exciting to watch this year.
Well, they were. Whether they win or loss, they were exciting. And I appreciate the call. Thank you, Jeremy. Look.
Um that's what well that's what winning is. You know winning is the ultimate deodorant. We've forgotten about Brady's pick six in week one, right? We've forgotten about Brady getting wiped out by the Saints. Later on in Tampa.
We've forgotten about the Tyreek Hill, I guess, 200-yard first quarter, which we're going to be reminded of a couple times this week. We've forgotten about. Brady holding up number four. Man, I can't believe that was this year where he forgot the downs. I can't believe it was this year that Nick Foles beat Brady on a Thursday night for the Chicago Bears.
Wow. Okay, that was the high watermark, I think, for the Bears this year, even though they did, you know, make the playoffs. and got slimed out. On Nickelodeon. But uh you know Even then, Bears fans are like, yeah, I don't know if I believe this.
It's just going to save Nagy's job and it's going to save Pace's job. And I don't even know if Trubisky's the real deal. I don't know how many Bears fans were definitely more excited after Foles beat Brady. What was that, week five? Week five.
Yeah. That was when everyone's like, okay, Naggy's pushing buttons. Look at Khalil Mack putting pressure on Brady, beating the Bucs. Here we go. Forget about all that.
Winning is the ultimate deodorant.
However, that said You could see it coming. You could see it coming. You could see Brady using whatever he wants to use personally. He takes every slight, just like Jordan personally. And you could see Gronk, you could see it all working.
You'd see it beginning to come together, and you're sitting here wondering, when is it going to come together? Crazy thing is Tony Romo called it that week 12 loss to the Chiefs, when the Chiefs went up 17-0 because Tyreek Hill had 200 yards with receiving in the first quarter, that's not an exaggeration. That actually happened. But he saw the way that the offense came together over the final three quarters and was able to hold Kansas City. Mostly out of the end zone after all that.
He's like maybe they'll see each other better than 50 50 odds we'll see him here again And here we are. Bucks are averaging thirty-four a game. And again, I was thinking I need to see it in the playoffs. Because they did it twice against Atlanta and once against Detroit and and it was just like okay And then they did it against Washington. And then they Send Breeze into retirement.
expectedly, and then Aaron Rodgers into the offseason. Latest on all that still to come, the general manager of the Green Bay Packers, Brian Gudekunz, has chimed in on all that. But when we come back, we'll focus a little bit more on the trade of the weekend, Stafford for Goff with a guy who calls games for the Rams locally, and my colleague from NFL Network, MJD Morris, Jones Drew. Still here on the show. Drew McIntyre, WWE superstar Drew McIntyre, here on Peacock, which, as we all know, Is the uh Soon to be exclusive streaming home of WWE in these United States.
Ready for that content rolling out on March 18th? The first pay-per-view event is Fastlane. right here on March 12th. And Peacock Premium will include all WWE network content. with more content for less.
Ready for that, T.J. Jefferson? I'm here for it. I know you are. I'm excited, as they say.
Well, you sent me the video last night, because again, I'm deep in Kid Land on a Sunday night. You sent me the video of Drew McIntyre. Spider-Man. WWE superstar champion. Party.
Put respect on this name.
Okay, I will do that. Coming in in the ring with Goldberg standing in the middle of it. Yeah. Yep. What an extravaganza.
That was a pyrotechnic spectacle. The sword and the pyro and the kilt. Right. It's just kind of like Braveheart. How is he going to follow that up?
Well, he's going to follow that up playing in the Shack Bowl. Coming up Sunday. Tom Brady is definitely playing like five more years. And the Bucs are going to win three more Super Bowls. Oh.
What if he has a third dynasty? Oh my god. Has anyone ever had a third dynasty other than like Babe Ruth or DiMaggio or?
Well, he just had one big long one. Yeah, one. These are like three different dynasties. It's gonna be amazing. It's definitely happening.
You know, it's crazy, a dynasty only needs to be three or four years now.
Well, when you win three titles in a five-year period. No, I know that. I guess that's what you call a dynastic. Oh, yeah. I don't know.
I mean, counting the Ming dynamics. I know. You're Celtics, my Yankees, though, back in the day. I mean, you're talking about a decade. You're talking about a decade of dominance.
You could say the 80s. were the 49ers decade. Yeah. Right? Cowboys had three to four.
90s. Yeah, for sure. I'll give that. Not the backhand of the 90s. Not the back end.
Just the first half. First half. The only part that counts. Let's just not discuss those last five years after beating the Steelers. 91 to 95.
Went all downhill after Neil O'Donnell targeted Larry Brown that night. I don't have the patience to jack with you today.
Okay.
Our number two: Maurice Jones Drew, WWE champion. Drew McIntyre, an hour or two.
