Can't lie, I like that first hour, smooth and easy. Welcome back. I'm Jim Rome, and the show is presented by FanDuel, and we are going to have our FanDuel weekly segment momentarily. There is some football news to react to. I already mentioned Brandon Ayuk, also.

Jacoby Brissett apparently on the move, and I will have that for you momentarily. Telephone number quickly one eight zero zero six three six eight six eight six. Find me on X. Our email is back up; it was down yesterday. There was an Outlook issue, but we have fixed that.

And find us also in chat on YouTube.

Now, as part of our arrangement with FanDuel, we have a FanDuel segment every single week. Could not do this without my pals at Fanduel. James Kelly joins me right now, Head. Before we do what we're going to do, I got a few things to ask you. Number one, how you living, Head?

What's going on? Good man, life is good out here. Yeah, really good. Good. All right.

So check that box. Life is good. Number two, how fired up are you for the return of Brandon Ayuk to your favorite team? Ah, dude, not that part. I loved everything else, but that part.

He's coming. He's coming. He'll be there on Friday. Apparently, show up on Friday and just talk to Kyle because Kyle is such a level-headed guy that this would go really well. And he's going.

And he's going. And not a very redass lobster. Like I said, he he should just show up there like nothing happened. Like, yo, come up, bro. What's good, dude?

Who we playing this week? We're so good, man. Just showing up out of the blue. Hey, what's going on today? What?

I I can't remember a show. I think was Friends. Did something like that, but yes, same exact vibe. Just act like nothing's happened. Show up and and honestly, Tommy.

Tommy.

Okay, I don't I don't like either one of the shows. But Tommy says so. I don't know. But Tommy says it was Seinfeld, not Friends. Was it Seinfeld?

Oh, Costanza. Yes, right. Costanza just showing up. According to Tommy, Larry David thing. That's it.

There you go.

Okay, so there's that. And then finally, most importantly for me, really, is the on again, off again Dennis Allen, Jim.

So the Bears look like they might be the best team in the NFL right now. They look like that, and we've seen with Justin Simmons, and that just that him wrecking shop the way he did. No sooner than he got boots on the ground, so is Dennis Allen on your list or off your list? I know it's really unusual to go from top three to off the list altogether, but have you taken him off the list?

Well, we're going to get into that in a couple different points, and I'm going to be fair here because people have came off the list before Vance Joseph being one.

Okay, Vance Joseph, yeah. Dennis is still oh, there we go, here we go. We're teasing that one a little bit right there, but yes, that's you're going to work. You're going to work it into your analysis. You don't want to tell me right now.

I got two different things: one on Dennis Allen, Jim, and one on somebody else who might be on the list. And then is it Dennis Allen's defense, or is it Jeffrey Simmons? We may have a new addition to the list. We might have a new addition to the list. We we we we well, we do have a new addition to the list.

I'm excited, and we absolutely will get there. Yeah.

Okay.

Now let me ask you this: If we graphically speaking, if we add somebody to the list, does that mean somebody's coming off the list? That's a conversation. We don't know yet. We're kind of debating that as well. Like okay, what do we do from here?

Do we retire some guys? Do we move them out because they're not coaching? Do we make two lists: an active list of ass and a pastent, you know, a legendary ass one with Bob Sutton. Don't you have to reearn or keep your spot on the list if you're on the ass list? Don't you have to continue to perform like ass to remain there, or is this some kind of ceremonial forever thing?

I think it's for merit because you got to prove that you're not ass. Once you're ass, you're ass. But you can't prove that you're not if you're not if you're retired. No, that that's the danger of being a terrible football coach. You get fired and you're on the ass list, and then you can't.

You're gonna be there forever. It's fair. It's fair. Like like Pervin Lier. How could you take him off the list?

Yeah, based on Will Levis. Heartbreaking. Will Levis. Hey, dude, better get a job. Better get back out there to to play your way off the list.

Bob Sutton. Get like that guy. Why? And not only is he on, he's the goat. Yeah, he's and he's old, so he's probably never getting off.

Some of the other guys, Shane Bowen, and a couple of others. But what if they die? Then hey, then they're gonna forever be on the ass list. We'll enshrine them. Not even death gets you off the James Kelly ass list.

No, because once asked, always asked.

Well, unless you, no, no, you're gonna be there, Bob. You better get a job. I don't know what you're doing right now, Bob, but you better get a job, dude. You're tough. You're tough, head.

You're unfair and you're tough. All right, so where do you want to start? Let's make some money. Let's do it. Thursday night football.

How about that? Jags v. Ravens. Jags are favored by nine and a half, and it's because we don't have Trevor v. Lamar.

We now have Trevor v. Non Hot Dog King of Maine. Come on, former Black Bear Joe Pignano, not Pal Murray. Come on, we haven't we haven't gone there in a long time. I've actually almost forgot about.

Come on. I did too, and then I knew Finiano was a black bear, and I'm like, oh hell yes! Paul Merry's coming out of retirement, and the hot dog is coming out of retirement. Joe, non-hot dog sales guy, had a 7.4 QBR last week against the Bills' defense.

Now on a short week, he gets a better Jags defense. Only House Flores is Vikings allow a lower percentage of drives to end with an offensive score. The Jags also have the best. Rundy and football. Come on!

Now some good news. Devon Hamilton for Baltimore—that is—he's out for the season, and that could hurt Jacksonville down the line. He is their run stopper; he's the middle of that defense, so that will help. But Joe is going to have to make some throws. Most teams do against the Jags, though they rank 26th in yards per pass, but they have—they do take the football away.

They rank third in the NFL in takeaways. Come on, to know his third senior season at UConn. Joe non a hot dog guy. He did only threw one interception his third senior season at UConn. As for Trevor and Liam, they average a touchdown less on the road, so that's a little worrisome.

But Liam's Jags, dude, a plus eighty-five point differential on the season. That's the best in the NFL, and since last season. They are ten and five ATS as a favor in the regular season.

So let's go Jags and lay the nine and a half. It's under ten. Let's do that. You know what? You're right.

It's under ten. It that's a lot to lay, but. We're talking about a third stringer with a brace on his ankle, barely trying to hold on until Jacoby Brissett, the savior, comes to save their season. I am gonna lay the points. Jags minus nine and a half.

You know what scares me a little bit? Tell me, Brock Purdy. Brock Purdy situation, right? Undrafted, nobody gave him a chance. He had to go play because everybody got injured.

I'm not saying Joe's going to be that guy, but everybody was on. I think it was like Tampa Bay and Tom Brady that week. Bro, the the Brock Purdy slander from you has got to stop. You did not just compare an MVP candidate and a guy that the the first hope you have for your your beloved Lobster family and 49ers rests on. This guy and you're comparing Pagano to him?

No, well I'm just saying, like, because everybody's like, oh my gosh, short week, can't do this, and I remember everybody saying the same thing about Brock Purdy. This guy will not beat him. He'll probably be the hot dog king of Maine before he's Brock Purdy. But I mean, everybody's taking the Jags, and that's always a worry. And I'm like, well, maybe if this guy doesn't, it's a good thing they're not starting Keaton Slovis, or you take him straight up.

I do love Keaton Slovis. You love that guy. You always love that guy. He will never run your ass list. Listen, when you said there's something, you know what scares me?

Everything scares me about every bet, but not that. Not that. All right, you keep Brock Purdy's name out your mouth, dude. Stop doing that. All right.

Fair.

Next.

Next.

Next.

We're laying the points. Cincy v. Atlanta. All right, it's time. You asked earlier, and it's time to do it.

Al Golden, Jim. He's been out of the ass list, right there. Update that graphic. There you go.

Thank you, Lauren. That's the old one. There's the new one, right there. Perfect. And Al Golden.

This guy's freaking defense. He only gets a post it.

Well, that's what we got to debate. Where are we going to put him? I got a week to figure this out. I just knew that he had to be on the ass list somewhere because, like every Sunday, I text you. Al Golden Jim is terrible at his job.

I'm not saying he does. He I'm in full agreement. He absolutely belongs. I'm just I'm looking at that list wondering if Sean McDermott really belongs there. It is your list, but I mean, yeah, he might be able to work himself.

I I don't know. Bassachia or whatever that guy's name too.

Well, he's pretty bad in Green Bay. He was actually really bad in Green Bay. Anyway, Golden, you had to find a way to get him on the list. Yeah, just doesn't seem like if he's a post-it and doesn't have a number or an emoji.

Well, Levis doesn't have a number either.

So he's got a face. He's got a face which is better than a number. Dude, Christian Parker's about ready to. Join this list too. Yeah, how is he already on the list?

I know Eberflus might be saved by Christian Parker. Like Eberflus might come off just because like smaller, so we got to make some room. Yeah, we could do that too. Lauren, maybe next week Christian Parker. We'll look into that.

Parker makes the flus look like Fangio. Yes, he does. You had to think about that, didn't you? It's fair. Yes, that is true.

And Parker came from Fangio, so he's like Brandon Staley coming from the Shanahan McVeigh family. That's what Christian Parker is right now. Yeah, make that makes sense. All right, so Cincy v. the Fail Clowns and Al Golden has been added to the list.

Yeah, why would we send Al Golden's defense to Spain to promote football? I don't get that. Did we not think about that or what? Anyways, here's the thing. I'm not gonna overreact and fade Al Golden's defense just because of his polterlike game.

Because Joe's offense second in the NFL in points, first in passing yards, first on third down, and teams love to throw against Atlanta. And even better news, Atlanta ranks thirtieth in opponents' interception thrown percentage.

So Joe throwing it to the other team three times, like against Titans, that won't happen. Here, as for Penix, still trying to figure this guy out. A very concerning number. He has the highest turnover worth play rate in throwing the ball at seven point one percent of his passes, like maybe ever since I've seen these stats. Jameis Winston, the thirty thirty year, he was at six point two percent.

So Penix, wow, I don't know, man, wow. That makes one Jameis seem like the king of ball security. I know it's bad, but he is playing Al Gold's defense, and Cam Ward lit him up.

So I don't know here, but I'm going to say Cincy minus three. Yeah, I'm not going to go into some full analysis right there. You put Golden on the list, albeit with a post-it, and Joe. Joe got right in the second half last week. I'm going to lay the points too.

I'm going to take. I'm going to. I will. I refuse to take the home dog because I do not trust that big Penix energy. Because I don't know what I get week to week.

Yeah, well, it's in Spain too, so because it is misleading there. There you go.

That too. Yeah.

I will say this: I have not checked the weather forecast. It best not rain, or next will be rolling into the other team frequently, early, and often.

So of course I looked into it. It's supposed to rain there, but the roof is retractable, so Phoenix might be safe.

Okay, all right. If they do it, so it's like so it is like a home game almost. Still laying the points. Still laying the points. The points, Golden man.

I'm telling you, dude. If you don't get us paid, Al. Oh my God. We will remove that. I don't care who's listed is.

The goat comes off of sudden, and it goes right to Golden. Dude, he's like the only act.

Well, Staley is active, but Al Golden's moving up fast. He can run those guys down. He is trending in a terrible, terrible direction. I love it. Like like a horse race, man.

Just maneuvering, getting outside, four wide, finishing like a freight train. I love it. Closer at the end. Yeah, I love it, man. Let's go.

What else we got? Broncos v. Panthers. Maybe a poll question. You went to the game last Sunday, didn't you?

I did go to the game. How'd that go for you, Broncos, KC? It was fun. It was really good. I took the boy for his birthday.

He's a Chiefs fan. His tenth birthday, so I'm like, yeah, good game too, man. Yeah, he wanted to cry because he was a Chiefs fan and they kind of lost. But you know, we won the bet, and I I explained to him. I said, Jim and I won the bet, son.

So that's more important. Tell him that. Important. Your poor kid's crying because his heroes got beat. Yeah, but yeah, but daddy and his boss won the bet, son.

Dry those tears. That was the the ride back. I had to explain all those things. Start early, man. Get him started.

That's it. I like it. That's it. Did you put a cigarette in his mouth?

Well, man, there was a lot of other stuff smoked around him at that stadium. If you fill me on that one, good thing you know. Yeah, I do. I feel you. It's good that you don't drink much.

Okay, right. Question for everybody out here: Who's a better quarterback, Bo Nix or Bryce Young? Dude, really? Yeah.

Well. What is it, Bo Nix? I mean, his freaking stats are terrible. I want to say that you know what? You're right.

It's not as disrespectful. Question. At first glance, it seemed pretty disrespectful to Bo Nix, but yeah, maybe not. Yeah, except Bryce cost me some money the last couple of weeks. No, he has done that for sure.

Me too. According to QBR, the better quarterback is Bryce, dude. Every stat you could find, I would say a win. I always know that. Bryce is the better quarterback.

Yeah.

So metrics and analytics would suggest it's the little guy. Yeah.

There's no doubt about it. I mean, the team-wise and winning and all that stuff, they're going to give it to Bo. But I think the answer is don't pay either, and that could piss off a lot of fan bases. But right now, do not pay either of those guys.

Somebody will. Yeah.

Somebody will for sure. Gosh, I hope. I like it, bro. Oh my goodness. Yeah.

So. Matchup here. Coach Bang fired his DC this week. Had he been in place, would assume he blitzed next because he did that third most in the NFL. Because Bo is ranked another metric last on Pro Football Focus in handling pressure, and only Jalen Hurts is ranked behind him when he's blitzed.

So not good at all. New DC is Todd Walsh. He was actually pretty good in Jacksonville a few years back. His problem, the same as Evaro is there. Evaro, Evaro.

Another Fangio guy, Carolina—they're down to like their ninth-string cornerback.

So Bo has big-time mismatches on the outside. As for Bryce, who you're talking about, dude has played baby Jessica-like since facing Lions.

So here's the thing for you, Jim. How did I make an executive decision? Baby Jessica-like.

Well, that's what we need to talk about here. Alvin and I had like a little bit of an argument this morning. We made an executive decision instead of me saying, "Well, our baby Jessica is just for well, right?" Because she fell down there, and that's the only way I can remember.

Well and good. I have an executive decision to make. How about we don't talk about baby Jessica ever again? Why are we still talking about her?

So here's the question: Your mother now. Why are we still talking about quote baby Jess?

So here's my point, though. I think there should be a splash at the bottom of the well when I say well, and Alvin says no anvil because he's like, there's no water down there. Alvin, pick up a mic, maybe here. Help me out here. What are you two morons even doing?

Yeah, he's like the well's dry, so we can't have no water in the bottom of it. I'm like, well, maybe there's like an inch or two down there. We can't have no grammar on the show either. What? The two of you, man.

Like, what happened to the matchup? Why are we having this conversation about what the you two morons are talking?

Well, I think this is more important about a dry well or a well that still has water. Yeah, how do we know nobody was using the well though? She just fell in it. How do we know that for a fact? It could have been moist at the bottom of it too.

There could be some condensations water down there.

Some ivy, some moss. Yeah.

See, there's some moss. That's dude. Splash. I say another another. We are actually using air time to debate what what air sound.

No, thank you, Alvin. We're we're using valuable air time to debate how that drop should sound. Yeah, well, it's important, and we really need to think about it this week. I'll get back to the football matchup here, but I think we really need to talk about it. No rush, head.

It's we're just 18 minutes in. Anyway, spend as much time as you want on that draw. Bryce Young has not played well at all lately. Alvin Water last two weeks against good defenses below not good, but Denver does passing yards up. But ATS Denver is five and zero when listed as a favorite, so let's go Denver here and lay the points in the road.

Three. Minus three, three minus three. Yes, exactly. I'm getting tired of agreeing with you. I'm gonna do the same thing.

Denver minus three. All right, I got a couple more games. Let's see if we can get through a couple more games before you run your ass off. Before Corvette guy runs your ass off the road, and you get broken off because we are running out of time.

Okay, Packers v. Pats. New England's favored by three here. No quarterback has been let down more by his offensive supporting staff. And Jordan Love this season, running game worst EPA per play in football.

Pass catchers a ten point seven percent drop rate, highest in the NFL. Worst line in football outside of Los Angeles. Through it all, though, he leads the league in passing. As for Drake May, since Week Four, he's the highest graded quarterback in pro football. Focus.

To be fair. Yes, against ass defenses. That's why he's been lighting up. But guess what, dude? I.e., JP the robot.

Jonathan Gana's defense is not playing like ass at all. They're actually really, really good. Pretty nice, dude. Fifth best EPA per play without the spicy challenge guy. Anytime, Micah.

Anytime, Micah. Anytime, Micah. We could really use some help right now. Might come down to who throws the deep ball better. May since that week four mark, he's thrown six touchdowns without an interception on twenty plus yards passes downfield.

He ranks second in yardage on the season on deep passing. Love is first, so I like those things. But ATS, here's a good one for New England with Alex Kemp. Kemp, never mind. I'll stop right there when he's officiating.

Favorites are thirty-one and ten over the last three seasons. That's a seventy-five percent mark for. You go with the ref show analytic. Yeah, I did. Yeah, ref show analytic.

Thirty-one and ten, dude. Seventy-five percent when this guy is officiating for home teams. But I'm going with the Packers and ten points. Oh, are you really? Yeah.

Yep. Mmm. Tough. Tough. Very tough.

You know what? I'll go against. I'll go against the half fam and go with the adopted fam and take the points. Packers plus three. All right.

We agree on all of them so far. All right.

Unkemp, we're going against him. All right.

Bucks v Bears. We're talking about it earlier. Jeffrey Simmons, Jim. This is his defense, not Dennis Allen's. To answer these questions.

Yes, they looked like a Super Bowl-contending team on Monday night with Big Jeff on the field, three yards per play. Without Big Jeff, very Dennis Allen-like, thirteen point three yards per play. That's what Dennis's defense did without Simmons. This game should be a physical matchup for Big Jeff and Big Veta Vaya because we have the two best Vaya. I love him too.

He's like my favorite player. Vaya! Yeah, I just can't pronounce a name that has three letters, but he's my favorite human being, man. Dude, three hundred and sixty pounds of meat. Yeah, the guy's name has seven letters total, and you can't even handle that.

Come on now, Vida, Vida. Yeah, that guy, three hundred sixty pounds. Love him to death.

Okay, Tampa Bay ranks first. I wonder if he'll move before the deadline. I think not. Not. I was saying I might move him before the deadline, except that they play in a division that's ass, and they're still very much alive despite their poor start.

They are playing better. They are playing better, man.

Okay, they're running the football. 168 yards a game rushing right now, best in the NFL. Yeah, Chicago's second at 150 D wise. The Bucks rank second in rushing yards per game. Chicago fourth.

The passing game, Tampa Bay isn't really a believer in it. Baker has completed seven, seven passes the last two weeks. You know why? Because they rush for like 500 yards a game. Seven.

I know seven. Seven miles an hour. Seven passes the last two weeks. Dennis Allen's defense, though. Does allow the most yards per pass completion in the NFL.

I just want to point that out. But I'm a big believer in the Caleb guy. One interception this far. You are since when are you a big believer in the Caleb? I got to be fair because he's he's playing better this year than he's ever played.

Dude, he's I think he's there. Yeah, he's playing really good. Even you have to admit that. All right, no, I do. You're not a big believer in that Brock guy, but you're a big believer in that Caleb guy.

I know, dude. He's showing. He's showing big time. Brock's Brock's showing too. I gotta be fair with him right now.

We'll see this week.

So you're gonna lay the points? No. Oh, it's six and a half. Yeah, it is. It's six and a half points.

And I think Tampa Bay's defense, dude. Todd Bowles was about ready to get fired three weeks ago.

Somehow, some ways, kind of playing.

Now he's gonna be coach of the year. Yeah, I think Chicago wins, but. I mean, what could go wrong? Two Florida teams in November on the road. This should be a great weekend.

You might want to fade me again because I've been asked lately.

So I'm going to fade you there. I'm going to take the Bears. I'm going to play the Bears. I'm going to lay the points. It's a lot, and I do like the box, but I'm I can't pick everything the exact same way.

Bears minus six point five. Damn head, you got. Probably fifteen minutes more than you deserved or earned. Is there anything else you'd like to leave us with? No, no.

I think we're good here. This is twenty-five, thirty minutes. We're good. You're good. I'm good.

Let's not go with the we're good. There's nothing. I'm not good. I'm definitely not good. Ali's not good.

Oh wait. Oh, you thought of something else? I did. Listen to the podcast later on today, June. I love June Lee.

Absolutely fantastic! Can't wait for that one.

So listen to that clones. No, bro, that you actually, you and I, you gave me that idea initially, and I always knew about him, and always liked him, but you gave me that idea. I'm like, you know what, head, that that's the rare idea of yours that I like and I agree with. Let's do this. All right, yeah, good on that.

Not so much on the baby Jessica stuff, but June Lee is what is right about sports media. He is not a. Everything that's wrong with it, let's just put it that way. Unless he like exposes it and shows you what's wrong with it. No, he's about there.

There's still some people doing it the right way. He's one of the guys doing it the right way.

So that's why I'm talking to him. All right, head, you're one of the guys doing it the wrong way.

So you can go ahead and get the hell out of here. No doubt about it. Later, where's Corvette guy? Let's make some money. See that head.

Twenty five minutes of James Kelly. Utterly irresponsible on my part. I am very sorry about that. It look if we hit and we make money, then we can justify that sort of kind of. When we come back, that's our Fanduel segment.

We do that every single Wednesday. I've had Dana White. I've had James Kelly, the manager of the Brewers, Pat Murphy coming up next hour. June Lee is going to be my guest on episode 433 of the Jim Rome Podcast, and that will push out afterwards. We have not done that yet.

dot com slash rome. All right, to get caught up on a few things, Mike, you are a follow quoted or posted quote. Head coach Kyle Shanahan asked of his expectation for wide receiver Brandon Ayuk, "quote None. I have no expectation. I've kind of moved on with that mentally." End quote.

Reiterates what he said in September that Ayuk is not an option for the team anymore. But he did chase that by saying there are no absolutes in life. But not even that. Remember that time he said, "Look, there are no absolutes in life. Right?

We could all be dead by Sunday. Can't guarantee that anybody in the world will be alive Sunday.

So I can't guarantee who will be on our roster on Sunday.

So that goes for all of us. How about you just stick to never say never? That that'd be better." Never say never is better than I can't guarantee that anybody will be here on Sunday. Um, I can't guarantee that anybody in the world will be alive Sunday.

So you can't guarantee that anybody. Is that? Did you say all of mankind could be gone by Sunday? Humanity as a whole wiped. Anyway, I'm going to assume.

I'm going to stick to the first part that he's not an option for that team anymore. But if he wants to get reinstated, he does. He has to show up, pass a physical. I mean, it's all really convoluted the whole process. But if he wants to be reinstated, and not necessarily with the Niners, but reinstated, he's got to show up.

And so he will on Friday. But Mike Garofalo reporting that Kyle Shanahan is saying I've already kind of moved on mentally. All right, next story. Adam Schefter has this trade: the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade to send quarterback Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens. Per Rapsheet, me deal is expected to be completed.

Until this weekend, the Ravens lost quarterback Lamar Jackson to a thumb injury, and his backup Tyler Snoop Huntley to turf toe. We haven't gotten into that yet, but Snoop's out for the rest of the year. He needs surgery for turf toe, so. Shefter added, "Quote: The trade will not be finalized in time for Jacoby Brissett to play Thursday night versus Jacksonville, but once it is, he will be expected to make his debut in Week 10 on Monday Night Football against the Chargers because that's a game we all need. Because that's a game we all need.

Wow! This Justin, more breaking news." At Gabi Herzig, quote: We have confirmed at the Athletic that Live Golf will be pivoting to a wind down. Per multiple sources briefed on the matter, BC Partners feels as though it has run out of time to make Live 2.0 viable. The news was first reported by at Syndap of at FT. All right, so a moment of silence for Live Two Point Oh, Gonzo.

What? Why would you not throw millions and millions and millions to keep that fire burning? Why not light more money on fire? More reaction at bfarv underscore fan one. I could use two hours.

A big head bets on the show. You're not you're not getting it on this show. You could probably go to the big head show. I don't know that he has a show, but I bet he'd give you one for two hours. Twenty-five minutes felt like twenty-five hours to me, but you want two hours.

Every minute with the big head feels like an hour to me, honestly.

So twenty-five minutes felt like twenty-five hours.

So no, you're not getting two hours of that. Rest assured. One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six. About a quick phone call. Got Pat Murphy coming up next hour.

Looking forward to that. What's going, Los Angeles, Matthew? In Los Angeles, Matthew, what's going on? Oh, Jimmy Jam. Hey, oh, it's Matt, not Matthew.

Hey, Matt, what I had to call in, brother, because you know what? This is why you are a staple. You are a founder. You are a Hall of Famer. Because of the breakdown of the baby Jessica Alvey and head whole thing, and you know what?

I got to go with Alvey on this one. The dry well, so I'm bet I'm better with the anvil on the drop. But this is the kind of breakdown you don't get anywhere else. You pukes.

So you better be thankful that my man Jim Rome is doing this to death, baby. A wore James Kelly's melon head and laundry hose arms, and wore sprinkles and bichat and Irae Craig joining Burn Dog's band at the Seattle Soup Kitchen Rally concert for Irae Swells. Ouch. Thank you, Matthew. Matthew, why do I think that the purpose of that call was not to say this is why Jim Rome is a radio hall of famer that you cannot get this anywhere else?

Matthew, Matthew, Matthew, why do I think that the purpose of that call was you can't get Matthew in Los Angeles on any other show but the Rome show? Not you can't get the breakdown between the water you pukes at the bottom of the well versus a dry well and an anvil sound as opposed to a splash. Why do I think that's not what you were actually calling about? That you can't get that anywhere else. Of course.

I'm not proud of that. I'm not even proud that you can get it here. We we literally spent like three minutes debating on air what is the better way to produce that sound drop. And James Kelly saying no, no, no, Alvy, I don't think so, Alvy. I think that it needs a splash.

She went into a water-filled well, or at least enough water at the bottom of the well. And Alvin saying James, James. That well has been dry for years. It was dry when she dropped the first time. This is why we have an anvil.

If there was water, she would have drowned. And James is trying to argue that no water kept her alive, and she could probably swim. She was one of those prodigies. She was like Michael Phelps. I'm like morons.

Why? Why are we debating? Why don't you keep that debate? Take that stupid little portion, that production portion of that segment that should not be produced at all for the record, and keep that off of the air. That that production meeting, the two of you have.

I don't even know the two of you had production meetings, man. Right when I thought we hit rock bottom as a program yesterday, when we spent as much time as we did talking about the raddest city, Alvin, you weren't here for that. You were on jury duty. Alvin's like, "Damn, man, I can't believe they didn't call me. I wanted to get one of those cases that kept me out for like ten months." Yeah, well, when you were gone, Alvin, we had that conversation.

There was a report that L.A. is the rattiest city in America, ahead of Chicago and New York. And I'm like, hell no, oh hell no, poison. That's what you missed yesterday while you were sitting there praying that they call your name. Hey, Alvin, did they did they actually talk to you and rule you out as a prospective juror, or did you not hear your name called?

Never got before the attorneys to ask you the proper questions. Don't worry, Albie, I know you. They'll they'll call you again for jury duty in about six weeks. I don't want to jinx it, but we're all registered, and none of us ever get the call except you get the call like every four weeks. Like, oh no way!

Sorry about that, boss. I'm called in for jury duty again. Alvin's looking around, like, is there a Menendez-type case here? Alvin gets called like every month for jury duty.

Okay, Alvin. Can you try and push that back?

Well, I tried, Jim. I tried. Alvin, did you try and push it back, or did you try and move it up? Did you try and push it back, or do you hang around the courthouse like anybody? Any availability?

Anybody need a juror? Juror for hire. Here I am. Alvin, I've never seen so many p a person get so many jury notices as you. I'm just trying to do my civic duty, Jim.

I what do you? I don't want to do it, Jim. Yes, you do. It's got to be a murder case that needs a UC-educated person who is very open-minded. It's got to be a trial of the century that needs me.

Sincerely, Alvin Deloro. How about Alvin's like sending out these email blasts, juror for hire, in search of a trial of the century. Can you imagine Alvin Alvin being the the foreman on that jury, and and James Kelly being a part of that? Oh man! Be like, hey foreman, why are the two of you arguing about the baby Jessica drop, whatever that is?

We're trying to go over forensic evidence here. Man, we're off the rails. I'm not on the clock. I've I've got to get recalibrated. I want to talk about Justin Herbert.

That's what I want to talk about. I don't know if I have enough time for that next. I'm going to break.

Okay, I will, Albie. Break. You go to your your jury selection. I'll take a break. Phone lines are open.

One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six. You're listening to the Jim Rome Show. One quick question for you: Why is old trapper beef jerky so amazing? Why don't we start with the fact that. It's a family-run business, a family-run business that I know, and a family-run business that stands by quality and produces the world's finest beef jerky.

Do not be fooled by the other brands. All beef jerky is not the same. Make sure you choose Old Trapper. You can actually see the quality right through their iconic clear view packages. They do that on purpose.

They want you to know exactly what you're getting. Every single bite of Old Trapper is tender. It's never tough because they use just the best ingredients. Once again, they don't. Need to do that.

They choose to do that. From their lean strips of beef seasoned with top quality spices to their real wood fired smoke, Old Trapper delivers quality in every single bite, and it comes in four amazing flavors: old fashioned classic beef jerky flavor, exceptionally tender. It's smoky. It's delicious. Also teriyaki with the yellow label, where Old Trapper turned the flavor dial to eleven.

Hot and spicy, with a spice so nice, you know you're gonna want to stack twice. And then you've got peppered tender seasoned beef covered in crack pepper. A cold beer's best friend.

So grab and go with a four ounce bag, or load up with an 18 ounce bag. That way, there's enough for the entire team. If you don't see it, and you will. But if you don't see it, ask for it by name, because no other jerky compares, old trapper. What is your beef?

Why wouldn't they cover up the well then? I don't know, James. It's not my well." Or my child. I remember when I had the big house on the hill and we had kids, and I got the view that I worked my entire life for with the beautiful infinity pool. Jano immediately said, "We're putting a fence around that thing." I'm like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

A fence around the pool, around the view, like the greatest view ever of the greatest golf course ever." Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! And Jano would say to me. What are you? Are you kidding? We have a child.

We have a baby. This child can't swim yet. I'm like, let's get that child swim lessons as quickly as possible. Child, please. You mean you mean like that, James?

That that fence, by the way, stayed up for like two years. I'm like Logan. Logan could probably be best in class for his age if we would just put him in the water. Can we please get a swim instructor over here so I can take that fence down? Floaties, nothing.

I remember we once there was something. There was an event, a fundraiser where I bid on and won a swim lesson. From Janet Evans, remember Janet Evans. I'm like, can she come today? Can she teach the kid everything he needs to know in one lesson?

I don't even care how long it can be an all day lesson. Can we just make sure that kid is buoyant? I got to get that fence down. I have to get that fence down. And then we took the fence down, and then Janet started her famous end of the year school party, where the entire class classes would come.

And one little kid took a dump in my pool, and I'm like, "That's it! Put the fence back up, man! No more of those parties." True story. All right, when we come back. I want to talk Justin Herbert, and I want to say that right when you thought it couldn't get any worse, right when you thought he'd already hit rock bottom, it got worse.

It could still get worse, and it did get worse. And I'll explain what I mean by that. James, do you need a splash for that? Justin Herbert hitting rock bottom. Do we need an anvil or a splash, James Kelly?
