It's the fastest-growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmeade. Exciting week, election week. It's finally here. The midterms.

This is the last one with Trump on the ballot. I mean, afterwards we're going to see Trump endorsing people, going about at the RNC, and of course it'll be headline. But for the past what ten years, it's been Trump, unpopular, how popular, indictment, impeachment, war, non-war, wins, walls, all this stuff, and this is the last time.

So for a while, I thought the midterm elections, and hi everyone. And welcome to the week. I thought the midterm elections were not going to really be about Trump. He was kind of laid back in the spring, but not in the summer, and certainly not in the fall. You cannot work harder than that guy.

This hour, I'm going to talk to Senator Dave McCormick, foreign relations, energy, and banking. You know that, but he's a superstar on the right. Asked to do a lot of surrogate work, and Lawrence Jones is in the studio, fresh off Fox and Friends. Lawrence, welcome to the radio world. Thank you.

I appreciate it. You know, the president throughout this campaign, when he's been on the road for what is it, like twenty some days, twenty eight days, has consistently made the case for Republicans that even if you don't like them, why you should vote for them. I think someone really should do that for the president as well. Like, if you are not happy that you didn't get all the tax cuts or the prices didn't go down, you have to still say. At least his agenda is better.

Than the opposition.

Well, you know, it's so interesting. Is they did a poll and see in a New York Times poll, which looks hideous for Republicans. They said the main issue is the economy. Newfound Democratic strength was powered by growing trust in the party to handle the economy. The key motivating issue for voters this year.

Democrats hold a nine-point advantage on the cost of living. They could do a better job. Undecided voters and voters who decide only in the last month favor Republicans by a nine-point advantage.

So those are the. But Lawrence, this is this is an unbiased statement, and any Democrat out there that's listening, please tell me I'm wrong. Name one thing Democrats would do to help the economy. Name one thing they would do. Billionaires tax not going to pass.

Tax more the rich. What are you talking about? Spend less on military.

Okay, less than five percent. One point five trillion is five percent.

So now you want to do less than NATO.

So where are you saying? Oh, universal healthcare. That that's going to do nothing. But it's something like four trillion dollars a year. Yeah, but see, that's that that that's the talking point.

This is what they're going to say on that point. They're going to say two things, Brian. We're going to end the war immediately. Right, and and and they think that ending the war immediately is going to bring the price prices down. That's that's delusional.

I mean, they they if you end the war right now, then the Iranians have control of the Strait. They're going to be controlling energy regardless.

So that's that's that's that one goes down. And then the second thing they're going to say is, the majority of the strain on Americans is healthcare costs.

So they're going to go right in for health Medicare for all or something close to that. I'm sorry. I understand. Like I'm not saying that American people aren't struggling with health care, but that's not why your prices are so high. It's inflation.

And no one wants to say we got to cut spending, right? Got to cut spending, and and there is not one spending cut that Democrats want except for defense. That's it, and that's delusional in a challenging world. And by the way, that's not going to bring down inflation.

So, so this is you could you can't even say Medicare cut. You could say Medicare is a major health care is a major issue. Both sides can agree to that. But do you know that on the average this year? Premiums for Obamacare going up 13 percent.

Of course, so if you have it. It goes up thirteen percent. It is a failed program, right? And every time this Democrat comes in office, they sustain it with subsidies. But they know they got to put a cap on the the expiration date on it because you can't afford to do it.

So when it comes up for Republicans in power, they look like they're taking health care away. Know what they're trying to say? Your program failed, right? And we have to refinance it. And I don't want to refinance a bad program.

Well, it's also deeper than that, Brian. Like Not, not to mention all the fraud in these social programs. Look, I'm a, I was a poor kid. If anybody understands about the programs for the poor, I do. But there's a massive amount of fraud, and then there's a certain population that doesn't want to work now.

If we don't start cutting spending, every week I try to go back and look at okay, where is the budget at right now? Where are we spending the money? Like, what is the vulnerable areas? And there is massive spending in social programs that. Impact our inflation, impact our national debt, and so if we want the prices to really, we're we're we're doing these little small cuts all around, and it's not doing anything.

Yeah, one of the big stories over the weekend first was Dan out, Dan S. Sullivan is the right Sullivan in Alaska. Then we find out 2025 they put a program in place to go hunt down for other Dan Sullivans to put them on the ballot in order to throw off everyone and split the Dan Sullivan vote. No joke, with a guy that has. No interest in running.

They found one on an isolated island. You have to take a boat, or you have to take a chopper to get to. I am not kidding in Alaska. And he goes on the ballot, and he survived the primary process. And with ranked choice voting, really going to matter because you could write the wrong Dan Sullivan number two.

And now it looks like this has been exposed by none other than the New York Times. That's one. That's the October surprise. The November surprise sounded like this. The voice you hear is Haley Stevens.

Cut five. My name is Haley Stevens. I'm a proud Democrat, and. I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate. I am one vote in this state.

Michigan is a swing state, and I have a divided household. As some of you have heard, up until last night. But even my own mother cast her vote for Mike Rogers, as my own father cast his vote for Abdul. This is a very close election. We all know that.

So Chuck Schumer came out and said, "This is a despicable betrayal." That's what she, even though he voted for Haley Stevens and supplied her with money, Nancy Pelosi, Haley Stevens has chosen it dangerously, dangerously to betray Michigan families' health care freedoms in the future of her horrific endorsement of Mike Rogers and future with the horrific endorsement of Mike Rogers. We go on. Then they kicked her out of the party. I'm sorry. What was she supposed to do?

She's engaged to a Jewish man. She has tried to be party first and try to get these meetings, and then days before the election, her son Piker's uncle releases this ad, which that was the dagger, targeting. Israelis and Jews, and saying that they're responsible for the gas prices, and so she got to go home and be with this guy, and so she asked, you know, Abdul, you know, make a statement condemning this ad, and he refused to do it.

So what is she supposed to do, Brian? Like. You want her to give up the person that she loves? How about how about this? Oh, y'all!

And then he followed up with, "Don't come, don't show up." Yes, said, "Don't show up." Okay, I won't show up. Thanks. She thought about it. He goes, "I'll show up with Mike Rogers, and I'll go to the church there." Now, I want you to hear.

So she hops on. You know how Anderson Cooper? They always portray him as a balanced reporter. We don't. We know.

We know differently. But listen to this. Did you see the interview with Haley?

So hostile.

So listen to this.

So she's going to go on, and she's a Democrat still, but she's not going to go with El Saeed. Cut twenty two. If that is true, what changed between then and this morning? I just wanted to mention a few other people who who love this party. I love this party.

People changed their mind. Nothing with me changed, Anderson. I mean, something changed your mind. I'm just curious. Like, was there a specific aspect?

Well, Anderson, you certainly weren't on the phone with with me at at at midnight, Anderson. This is a broader point about what's going on in our party. It's actually not. It's really just a question of. We were no.

So you might change your mind again. They feel the same way. This is about Michigan is Democrat or Republican? I'm born Democrat. You know, and I'm just telling people how I'm voting.

And there's others who feel the same way.

So the anger and lack of kindness. I'm sorry, I don't want to talk over you. But know what he did? Talk over. Can you believe this?

Can you believe this guy? He's so outraged about his party. Right.

So so what? What about what's been happening? To the Jewish people, this entire campaign season, there's a reason why there was such a big gap between Black voters and Jewish voters within that primary, right? And that has not been addressed at all. And to put her in the hot seat, meanwhile, this guy has shown such disdain for the press.

He never likes a question. It's never a good enough question for him. Only he can ask the right question.

So, in other words, his way is: if you come up to him and say, "Hey, in 2013, you wrote an essay for the Huffington Post, an editorial, and you said El Mossi, the brother Brotherhood guy, should be supported by us, and he should disband the police." That's a bad question.

So that's what he would say. Yeah, that's a bad question. He ran over Brett. No, no, no, sir. This is something that you wrote.

This is your family. No, no, no. It's still a dumb. Why are you asking me that question? People's questions are too high.

It's insane the arrogance that he has conducted himself. I tell you what, I'm not sure how much this is going to do, Brian, in the final days because it is a November surprise, and there's already been a large amount of Democrat votes already cast. But if it even has a 10 impact on the election. Then he may lose the election just based off of this. Right, one percent of the population Jewish.

How one Jewish person can vote for this guy is beyond me. Here's more from this sparring. Cut twenty-five. Yesterday, Al Sayed. Don't be a part of this.

That's fine. Yesterday, Al Sayed said essentially what you wanted him to say regarding the offensive ad. He said he did not agree with the contents of the ad paid for by an outside group that tied USA to Israel to affordability problems in America. It's been called anti-Semitic. You said you were quote glad he said that and quote this is what our constituents deserve from those of us in elected leadership.

Then at some point, I assume in the evening, maybe not midnight, you talked to Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, said you were not going to do this.

So if you and he were on the same page when it came to that ad, and you said that to the congresswoman at some point last night, what changed other than he had put out that statement and disinvited you from that church service? Is that was that the angrier and angrier part that you're focusing on? Anderson, this is a broader point about what's going on in our party. It's actually not. It's really just a part of the.

We were, we were, we were just recognizing. Look, I haven't cast my vote yet. I mean, it's such a stupid. He's so extreme. His feelings hurt.

It's like, it's like, does she not have that right? I mean, the notion that she is benefiting. In some type of way, I think it's ridiculous. They've kicked her out of the party. She'll never be able to run again.

Yeah, the database where you get all the voter files and know you know how to knock. They kicked her off the list already. They're talking about removing her from the committees for the last days that she has in Congress. Yeah.

So, I mean, where is the win? It's not like there's going to be a bunch of Republicans that's going to vote for her just strictly based on this election.

So I mean, cut the crap, people. Right.

So the other big story is the Dan Sullivan story. Mary Peltola still denying that she knew that her staff went out an all-out effort to find another Dan Sullivan to throw off Republicans on the ballot. Cut thirty-one. Is it possible that anybody in your campaign was potentially part of that conspiracy to plant Dan J? I have no.

I honestly have no idea. This is offensive to me on a number of different levels. First of all, this is Alaska. We do—we're not in the business of tricking each other up here. The second thing is, I know I can win this race.

I've known since day one. First of all, let me just say, and I love the people of Alaska. But the notion that's not in the business of tricking people. The whole ranked choice voting thing is a huge scam. The winner never really truly wins, which is disgusting.

I mean, even in class, your class president in high school, you know, the person that gets the majority of the votes wins. That's how elections are won. And then you have this this slick move that they pull. They can't even find this guy. Never even did a campaign event.

They can't find the other Dan Sullivan, right? And then the campaign manager says she knew about it. Then wanted to retract his statement.

So it seems like this was always a secret. And Brian, you told me something earlier today that I didn't know. You said months ago. I know. I heard heard heard it from the president that they were doing this scam.

You said Dan Sullivan brought this up months ago on One Nation. On One Nation, talking about this. The local media didn't cover it. The national media didn't cover it. This is what worries me.

The local media still wasn't covering the New York Times. This is absurd, right?

So here's Dan Sullivan last night, cut thirty three. My opponent, Mary Poltola, likes to talk about she's against DC corruption, against the rig system. Brian, she epitomizes DC corruption in the rig system. You can't make this up. But what was her first order of business when she decides she's going to run?

She gets together with her top aides, her campaign manager, her former chief of staff, and Schumer's top. DSCC aides, and they're like, "Our first order of business is to figure out the way to cheat Alaskans, confuse Alaskans, and rig the election." So the question is, did anybody get paid for this? That's going to be the question. If anybody got paid for this. Then there's going to be legal consequences for this.

I I I stay tuned for the investigation. But this whole I didn't know about it. By the way, Brian, the guy has fled. They can't find a guy in Alaska now. He's totally gone.

Off now. Do you know any serious candidate? Right with the day before election that you don't know where they are. Total scam. Come on.

Of course, it's a total scam. And the thing is. That the New York Times reporter on CNN said that all his reporting said the DSC Gillibrand who runs the Senate side like Tim Scott runs the Republican side, and Chuck Schumer we're all over this. They were well aware of course they were.

So I I just I'm just befuddled by what's going on. Before you go. I was just listening to Mark Halpern, pretty balanced guy. He says Republicans silently are telling him that the New York Times polls aren't far off from what they see. That's Iowa, Turek by one over Hinson.

Alaska Sullivan trailing by two. That's Kansas trailing, Marshall trailing Hamilton by five. Ohio Eusted trailing by five. Collins down by six in Maine, Texas, Talo Rico by seven, and in Michigan, eleven. El Sayed, I mean, I if this is the reality, I'd be stunned on Wednesday.

What about you?

So I talked to multiple pollsters last week, preparing for this week, and essentially that they told me that there's really only three states in play: Texas. And this was before the shoe drop about Alaska, Alaska, as well as Maine, and they said either Democrats are is going to be a bloodbath, or that would mean that all the polls were wrong. And in that case, it will be a good night for the Republicans, right?

So, well, see, Kevin McCarthy picked picked two twenty in the House. Harry Enten, two a CNN guy, two thirty seven in the House. CBS put two twenty nine in the House.

So far, fifty two million have already cast their votes. Last midterm, the last midterm that Trump was on, he lost forty seats in the House, but he picked up a seat in the Senate.

So, see what happens now. It's going to be interesting. It's a tough one to call, right? But we're not going to. If these polls are off, we're not.

We're calling them all out. Oh, one hundred percent, and they're going to have to explain that to their audience. Lawrence Jones, thanks so much. Appreciate it. It's good to hear you talk.

Breaking news, unique opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kilmeade Show. At the end of the day, I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. See what I am saying? Like, I think about the, like I said, the nine million nine hundred ninety-nine thousand nine hundred ninety-eight people who are not those two.

Because you know what? I am just less interested in the politics of it all than I am in the policy of it all. That is Abdul El Sayed trying to make sure no one asks him a tough question by talking over people and giving them parameters. But that stunning news when Haley Stevens goes to a black church with Mike Rogers and then says, "By the way, I'm voting for this guy." Why is that significant? She only lost by a few thousand votes to become the Democratic nominee to take on Mike Rogers in Michigan.

Senator Dave McCormick is going to be campaigning with Rogers, as you know. Senator is a real coveted surrogate, and he. Would definitely, I could imagine Senator McCormick that you would be somebody that always was with Mike Rogers, with his FBI background and military background, something you can relate to, if he gets in. I was just with him a couple days ago, and it was I called my wife and said, "Did you?" On campaign, you know what, Senator McCormick. I think we're you're breaking up a little bit.

I know it probably sounds good to you, but over the air, it's breaking up.

So we'll redial you up and get you right back. Just so you know, James Clyburn came out with him. Came out yesterday to Michigan just to say, "Hey, I know you didn't get much of the black vote. You lost it mostly to Stevens, but you got my you got my pat on the back." Now, cut sixteen right after the primary. I made it very clear.

That stood in solid support of his candidacy, and Abdul, I think, has run a great campaign. It demonstrates what we're all about as the Democratic Party. Everything else is a distraction from what we're all about, and we know what we have in this young man for the future of this country. What do you mean? It's distraction.

You had some disparaging things about his campaign, his inclusiveness. Then they tell me this: he goes into the a black neighborhood to try to get black votes, and he has fried chicken, and says, "Yeah, I am sorry about what other Middle Easterns have problems with you at gas stations. I never even knew about it." But that, to me, is not a smooth way to win over the black vote. But James Clyburn's all for one and one for all when it comes to party. Senator McCormick, you were just talking about being on the road with with Rogers, and I see you signing his his mobile bus, which you had one of those buses too.

I sure did. Listen, I called my wife from the trail with him. I did a number of events, and I said, "This feels like our campaign the last seven days." Clear message, huge turnout. Lots of energy, and in his case, he is running against truly a radical guy who who is anti-military, anti-law enforcement, anti-business, anti-Semitic, and anti-American, and a gentleman who is, you know, campaigned with Assange Biker, who said that we, you know, we deserve nine eleven.

So the contrast could not be more clear, and people say, "Well, this El Saeed, he's an he's you know he's an exception." No, no, this is the Democratic Party, Brian. This is the Democratic Party. This is where Barack Obama is campaigning. Yep. This is where Chuck Schumer, by the way, Chuck Schumer, quite a performance in this cycle.

He started the cycle. By endorsing a guy with a Nazi tattoo in Maine, and now he's ending the cycle by attacking Haley Stevens because she had the moral courage and clarity to say she wasn't going to support Al Sayed, and and Schumer is attacking her. This is where the Democratic Party has become, and and Rogers. And Michigan is ground zero between the choice, common sense conservatism, someone who's going to fight for Michigan, someone who believes in America, versus Al Sayed, who, who I don't know what he believes in, but he certainly doesn't believe in America, and he's not even able to say that Iran, not Israel, is the evil of the two parties.

Now, keep in mind, you know Chuck Schumer is Jewish, and he wrote a book about anti-Semitism that no one read because he ignored. It came out just as Columbia was having their anti-Semitic. Riots. He said nothing. It took Speaker Johnson, even though he was Speaker Johnson, when Joe Biden was president, to go over to Columbia to meet with officials and say, "What the hell are you doing?" So Chuck Schumer posted this on Sunday.

Now, keep in mind, he endorsed Haley Stevens.

So he was everybody he endorses loses, and then he just flips.

So he said, "This is a despicable." He says, "When Stevens decides to flip, he writes this: 'This is a despicable betrayal from Stevens.' Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul Sayed because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors. Nice try, Chuck, because there's not one thing that this guy can do to bring down prices except for have more. More government spending. I really don't know what he would do. No, this is the the irony of it.

So we have had great success over the last two years in terms of driving down fentanyl deaths, lowest violent crime rates. Energy dominance across the country and in Pennsylvania, and listen, people have more money in their pockets because of working families tax cut act. That doesn't mean the gas prices and diesel and fertilizers are too high, but a big part of the reason it's so high is is the war on fossil fuels that happened under President Biden.

So there's no doubt that we need to bring down fuel prices, but to suggest that these guys Al Sayed and the Democratic Party are going to be the people to do it. Is absolute insanity, and as as you said, Brian. This party is is willing to cancel anybody that deviates from the party line. I see it in Pennsylvania with my my friend and colleague John Fetterman. By the way, John Fetterman votes ninety three percent of the time with the Democrats.

So this is not like somebody who's gone to the other side. It's someone who has the courage to stand up and and deviate. From his party when he thinks his party has lost its way, and that's what's happening with Haley Stevens too. It's it's cancel it's cancel culture in the Democratic Party, and I think Americans are starting to see their true colors. But I know you saw the New York Times poll.

It has you guys, the Republicans, losing every close race in the Senate. Every one. I mean, I'm I'm sure you've seen it. I also know you guys have access to internal polls. And one of the things I read is the actual story, and they say undecideds tend to break Republicans' way by a nine point advantage.

So blue collar white voters have proved particularly hard to reach in polls, and that is one of your bread baskets. That's that is really one of your bases is blue collar voters. But I want you to hear what Nikki Haley said about the polls. Cut forty six. Republicans don't poll like they typically don't like responding to polls.

So when you look at these numbers, like they've done this before, they said Lindsey Graham was going to lose. They said Joni Ernst was going to lose. They said that you know in Maine Susan Collins was going to lose, and she you know won by a lot.

So we've been through this before.

So do you feel that way, or is that wishful thinking? Listen, I I don't put a lot of stock in the polls. I think the polls are mostly saying most races are margin of error. And remember, Brian, in my race, the polls said I was losing by by double digits sixty days out. There wasn't a single poll that had me winning until election day when I won.

So I think we got to take the polls with a grain of salt. We got to we got to finish strong. We got great candidates in most races. We've got a lot of money. We got a good message.

We got to close strong. And you know, my guess is we'll do better than the polls. I'm not predicting anything. I just think the only way to win is to is to stay on message and and push hard. And I think that's what we're doing in Michigan and and in Pennsylvania and other places.

And Senator, when do you think you'll decide if you're going to run for president?

Well, listen. I'll be moving out of my house if I do that. My wife has said that's that's that's a non-starter. You know that you've met her. I'm scared of her, Brian, and so are you.

Well, put it this way: she she's working a lot. She's got a very hard job too.

So it's not like she's going to be home waiting for you to come home every night. She's running a she's an executive in one of the the hottest companies in the world. That's that. That is true. That is the president.

To keep up, I'm like you. I'm I'm like you. I've I'm punching above my weight with my wife. Yeah, we're both we're both blessed men. Yeah, I we had a chance to sit next to each other at Ainsley and Sean's wedding, and yeah, you couldn't have been more impressed.

I I said, listen, you're gonna love the McCormicks, and and and Dawn was just loving hanging out with you guys. We felt the same way. We felt the same way. Well, thanks for all you're doing, buddy. No, don't don't hang up yet.

I'm gonna cross Pennsylvania. Don't hang. Up yet? I want to get you on Iran. Tim Sheehy weighed in on what's next.

You got the military guy, the West Point background, fought in the Persian Gulf War, also part of the Panama operation to get Noriega out.

So you're no rookie at this. Here's Tim Sheehy, Cup fifty six. And of course, we're going to keep all options on the table, from diplomacy to finishing the job militarily, and hopefully, we all hope because our men and women in uniform are at risk that we find a way to resolve this peacefully. But unfortunately, 47 years of evidence shows to the contrary.

So I know that the president and his team are arranging all options to be prepared for after the midterms, whether that be resumed strikes, a continued naval quarantine, or diplomacy. And hopefully, the leaders of Iran decide that peace is. The better option.

So, Senator, you know this is front and center with the president, November fourth. And he's thinking about it now, and he's constantly meeting. And I imagine you, with your military background, what I want to make sure is that we have the right game plan because the objective absolutely is in our national interest. It's it is. I don't believe the next person is ever going to have Iran at this place.

If we don't stop them now, there will be a nuclear Iran to deal with.

So, your thoughts about what do you think is going to happen next?

Well, I'd say I couldn't agree more with what Tim Sheehy said. I just add a couple things to that. Number one, the economic warfare is really working. It is. It is having a profound impact.

It is not sustainable. Iran's situation is not sustainable. There's eighty percent inflation. There's forty percent depreciation in the currency. The economy has shrunk by ten percent.

So there's there's gas line there's the class lines there's bread lines that's putting growing pressure on the regime so so you you have a weakened Iran relative to what it was economically and I think that gives us additional leverage and I agree with Tim you know there's a fork in the road and hopefully they're going to go down a peaceful path but there's no evidence to suggest they will.

So I think we'll have to ratchet up additional pressure, and I I think he's right that all all options are on the table. In the end, this isn't really about you or me. We're we're we've got more years behind us than in front of us. This is about our kids, and I don't think this president's going to leave office without being able to say, "I can give you assurance there's no path to a nuclear weapon for Iran." That could happen lots of different ways, but I think that will be where we end up.

So Cutter is meeting with Iran right now. They say that they want us to release our blockade and they'll release their blockade, but they want to set up their own path to the Strait of Hormuz. They want all frozen funds unfrozen and handed over, and all sanctions relieved in relieved in exchange for peace throughout the region. There's multiple non-starters there. Yeah, of course.

And you know, as Senator Sheehy said, these guys have not demonstrated any capacity to be trustworthy.

So you know, Reagan had the old line of trust, but verify. With the case of Iran, it's just verified. There's there's nothing to trust, and so they're going to have to demonstrate their their goodwill. The truth is, I think they made a miscalculation. I think they thought that they would be able to put so much pressure on Trump prior to the election that he would he would do a bad deal.

The reality is that win or lose tomorrow, I think Trump's going to have a lot more degrees of freedom post election, and I think I think the Iran will look back and say we we misplayed our hand. Senator Dave McCormick, best of luck. Mike, I just got a good partner to close out in the next forty-eight hours. Good luck, thanks for you and your party. Thanks so much, Senator.

Well, at JPMorgan Chase, we invest in what's working, because when businesses can grow, that growth means more jobs for more people, and more goods that can go to more restaurants and main streets and schools in the communities we love. The fastest three hours in radio. You're with Brian Kilmeade. The question is whether it's going to be a good night for Democrats or a historic night for Democrats.

So our range of projections in the House is anywhere from Democrats gaining 12 seats up to more than 20 seats. If they hit 235 seats, if that's their majority in 2027, that would be historic. We haven't seen Democrats with that kind of a majority since 2009. In the Senate, you just can't. Overemphasize the challenging map that Democrats are going after, regardless of all the things that Ryan pointed out about the president's approval rating, the price of gas.

We haven't seen. I went back for the last 35 years. There hasn't been an election where a party that's out of power flipped two Senate seats that the president had carried by double digits. Yeah, that's Amy Walter Cook Report. And that's what he said.

You know, most people are saying it's going to be over two hundred, well over two hundred for Democrats. I'm just telling you what they're saying. I'm going to say and I buy it because I can't break down hundreds of races. I don't have the equipment around me. But with a with a background, but I'm just telling you.

CBS has around two twenty. CNN has around two twenty. Amy Walters has two third as much as two two hundred thirty five seats, which is in one way it's good for the country because it would mean that the socialists don't have. Power over a Democratic Party because if it's like the Mike Rogers, you know, slim to none advantage gives him the speakership at almost no play, that's a problem for the country. But I, I actually don't want to see the House.

Well, one of the main reasons is it's terrible for the country because all they're going to do is do investigations. Oh, let's find out what happened with Elon Musk in this, and let's go find out what happened with rare earth deals over in Kazakhstan. And I'm not kidding; this is what they're talking about.

So instead of like moving for legislation, coming together because you got that year before this really an election again, instead of trying to do something and get things done, that's all they're going to do. And think that going after Trump is helping the country. What it does is just help Trump's legacy because he. Looks like he's being attacked, but that's just it. I mean, there's there's a lot of rounding off and a lot of opinions.

I saw Chris Christie say this, and maybe we could pull it for next hour. He came out over the weekend on ABC and says, if it is fifty forty nine, look for or fifty one forty nine, he look for John Fetterman to flip because he is done with the Democratic Party. Even though he's not changed as a Democrat, he's just a moderate. Even though he doesn't want to be a Republican, he would flip in order to have the power to not give it to Democrats. That's how determined he is not to give it to those knuckleheads that are trying to exile him from the party and pretty much try to rip him and try to keep him out of the cloakroom.

Isn't that crazy? They they just don't want they don't want to see him. They don't want to see him because he is actually siding on some issues with Israel and with Trump, but on most other issues, he's not.

So here is the president United States talking about what happens if he does lose the House and Senate. Cut one. If that happens, I guess I'll become Mister Veto. I'm not going to let them run. And then at some point, we'll probably make deals.

That's what's happened. I mean, this is this wouldn't be the first time. You'll have a president, and you won't have the House or the Senate. They'll be sending stuff up. You veto it, and eventually, after a month or two of getting all vetoed, you know it's waste.

They just waste. They come over, and you make a deal. I think that probably would happen, but hopefully, we don't have to worry about that.

Well, what you do is you send people to the polls. Remember, both sides admit people the day of election day usually belongs to Republicans, and so far the early voting in Texas gives them hope that Paxton, the world's worst candidate, who is lazy without a message—I mean, literally—does anyone write a speech for this guy? I get bored just listening to him say hello.

So, and what kills me is that John Cornyn had control of that state. You don't like what he did on gun control. When, if you look at the actual legislation, did absolutely nothing to hurt anyone in gun control because you want him to be more with Trump. I mean, not everybody could do everything with Trump. Mike Rogers is not going to be with Trump all the time.

Susan Collins is not going to be with Trump all the time. But what happens is when you're there, ninety percent of the time, people got to get used to that's enough. That Democrats got to do the same thing. It's just crazy. Hey, by the way.

I just can't wait to see you this weekend, United States. United States, the book is now out. It is five in the country, thanks to you guys. The six crucial moments, the four is the American miracle. This weekend, with every ticket, gets a book.

Hi everyone!

So glad you're there. The Brian Kilmeade Show coming away from 48th and Sixth in Midtown Manhattan. Heard around the country, around the world. Where I found out our mayor and governor are big Buffalo Bills fans. Who would have thought?

Now I know the governor has been because she's from Buffalo, that area where Governor Cuomo picked her out of oblivion because for some reason he thought he was going to lose Buffalo because of the billion-dollar boondoggle where it lost a ton of money.

So she ends up being the lieutenant governor he never talked to, and then he gets involved in a scandal and she becomes a governor. And just so that for. You living outside New York, just know this: even Democrats know she's absolutely terrible. Nobody will campaign with her. Nobody wants to be seen with her, except the extreme lefties who she sold her soul to, like AOC, AOC, and you have the mayor.

And you also have these: the mayor and AOC are the two surrogates that she wants, which is why. Mike Lawler is opponent. Kate Connolly will not be seen with her. Anybody upstate New York will not be seen with her, and that's why they have polls saying that Bruce Blakeman's down by double digits. I just don't believe it.

Matt Towery is going to be with us shortly. He's a nationally syndicated columnist and pollster, attorney, and author of the Honoring of Ignorance. He's going to be retiring soon. This is one of his last cycles that he's been polling.

Well, while I watch. When the last night, I think around, I think it was around four or five o'clock, the New York Times put out their final poll with Sienna. Republicans are losing every single seat in Senate. I mean, in Iowa, Turek by one; in Alaska, Peltola by two; Kansas, Hamilton wins by five. Really, Eusted loses by five.

Main Susan Collins loses by six to that clown Troy Jackson, Talerico by seven over Paxton, and Elsaeed by it looks like eleven. Over Rogers, that would be nuts. The Democratic strength is powered by trust in the economy.

Now they just don't like right now that inflation hasn't gone gone down too much. They do not feel the growth in the economy a stunning three point four percent, along with wages are growing up and all time jobs at four point one percent and holding steady. Undecided voters and voters who have decided only in the last month favor Republicans by nine points. We haven't seen that. The other problem with the poll that I just told you about, and they admit it, blue-collar white voters have proved particularly hard to reach.

That is the breadbasket of Republicans. But the Fox News Power Rankings also moved. In, um, in Washington, it's now lean R.

Now in Republicans. The excuse me, it was lean R.

Now it's a toss up in Nebraska. It was a likely Republican.

Now it's a lean Republican.

So I only need to live by one or twenty; it doesn't matter. But it does show t here is a trend moving away from Republicans. Let's bring in Michael Goodwin from the New York Post. His latest column is the Dems catering to the extremists ahead of Election Day, which I just told you the governor. Trying to be for the whole state.

In case you don't know, it's not like New York City, extremely liberal. The rest of New York is not. But Governor Hochul doesn't care. Michael, what do you think is going to happen with the governor's race? Good morning, Brian.

Look, I I hope the polls are wrong, but I would feel more confident if there had been some polls moving in the right direct, moving toward Blakeman. Instead, they say pretty consistently in the double-digit difference between them, with Hochul on top. But I think the point about my column is that this is another example: Hochul going with Mondale and AOC and all the propaganda, all the leftist socialist ideas. It's another example of how the Democratic Center has sold its soul to the left, to the far left. You're seeing it in state after state as the Democrats get crazier and crazier.

The Center, including Nancy Pelosi, right, Hochul, even Chuck Schumer, when it comes to Elsie. They'll they'll basically welcome anybody into the party and support them, as long as they will vote as Democrats. You you cannot just have an open door policy without an agenda without a. A kind of idea that what you want to do for the country.

So, do we really want to abandon Israel? Do we want to jack up taxes exorbitantly? This is what the left is selling, and the so-called moderates are swallowing the hook, line, and sinker. Little nuts. I just don't know.

Some of them aren't. I mean, Haley Stevens is not. I mean, Joe Manchin, who's now an independent, is not. You have. I'm looking at.

Listen to this. This really encourages me. If you look at who has jumped off El Saeed's bandwagon, and he doesn't seem to care, a guy named Lon Johnson, former Michigan Democratic Party chair, done not voting for him. David Kramer, Democratic strategist, chair of Haley Stevens' primary, and former finance chair for Alyssa Slotnick, will not vote for him. Haley Stevens, we know, Hillary Slotin refused to endorse or vote for him.

She cited his campaigning with Hassan Piker. He's she's a congresswoman sitting. Congresswoman and a Democrat, Andy Shure, the mayor of Lansing, Democrat, not voting for him. There's about four of the other prominent people not voting for him. But what does it say, Michael Goodwin, if he still wins?

If he still wins with by kicking the Jewish vote to the curb, ignoring the black community, and ignoring all these these normal to traditional Democrats.

Well, I think that if nothing else, Brian, it's a testament to how powerful the the Muslim voters have become in Michigan. I mean, we saw an example that back in the presidential primary season, when they went against Joe Biden, many of them for his support for Israel in the in the war against Hamas.

So I think that is a major factor in Michigan, and that leads me to believe that of all the races you mentioned, I I think El Saeed is the most likely to lose in the Senate category. I wish I had more confidence. But I do believe his race is going to be very, very tight. What a what a sickening display by Chuck Schumer, who and who actually financed Haley Stevens, big backer. She loses, and then when he jumps ship and says, "When she says I can't, I can't vote for this guy," you know, my fiance is Jewish.

I listen to his anti-Semitism. I hear it. I hear the way he just abandoned the black community. He she watches Mike Rogers set up shop there, desperate to try to win them over. And Chuck Schumer writes, "This is a disgusting." Despicable betrayal by Stevens.

Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan. Really, what does he know? Medicare for all is fighting. Saying prices are high is fighting. He wants to prematurely end a war because he probably, however, his friends are in Iran running the country.

So when this happens, you would think a fair and balanced guy like Anderson Cooper, Mister 60 Minutes, would be very interested in what Haley Stevens. To say, listen to this. This is just a small portion of this. Got twenty-two. If that is true, what changed between then and this morning?

You know, we have a few other people who who love this party. I love this party. People changed their mind. Nothing changed, Anderson. This is.

I mean, something changed your mind. I'm just curious. Like, was there a specific aspect?

Well, Anderson, you certainly weren't on the phone with with me at at at midnight, Anderson. This is a broader point about what's. Going on in our party. It's actually not. It's really just a question of why you change your mind.

So you might change your mind again. They feel the same way. This is about. This isn't Democrat or Republican questions. I'm more Democrat.

Okay, so okay, so the anger and lack of kindness. And there's others who feel the same way.

So the anger and lack of kindness. I'm sorry. I don't want to talk over you. But then he went back to talk you over. Do you believe this?

Yeah.

He's like so hurt. He is so hurt that she jumps ships. Instead of trying to get the story, he's trying to tell her how wrong she is. You know, you know, Brian. We'd like to recommend my column on this issue because Nancy Pelosi is also guilty of it.

She says she doesn't like this that El Sayyid and Mondani are wrong, you know, on Israel and other things, but she wants them both in the party. She wants Assaye to win, and she cheers on Mardani, even though she says he's wrong.

So this is the idea that party asks too much. Right, you have to show your soul to stick with the party. No principle principles allowed. If a person has a a D beyond their name on the ballot, you must vote for them. That's what's happened to the Democrats.

They'll take in anybody. No matter how crazy, how far left, and that's why the Democratic Party is being overtaken by the far left.

So let's talk about Alaska. Mary Peltola's campaign, and she was fully aware, according to the reporter. In fact, Eric, we have the reporter from Friday. If we could pull that up, said that they were aware that DSCC was aware of what they were doing, trying to find another Dan Sullivan to throw everybody off with ranked choice voting. Mary Peltola says it's all it's all a lie.

It's all lies.

Well, her former campaign manager said it wasn't. Went into great detail how she was overseeing this for over a year.

So listen to her when confronted. Cut thirty-two. Your former campaign manager was directly named in the report. Elisa Rios. What was your reaction to seeing that?

Obviously, very high up level on your campaign.

Well, you know, clearly these folks are gone. They're gone for a good reason. If I could fire them again, I would be happy to fire them again. Yeah, that I'd fire them again. No, she just put up.

She was on the record saying exactly what you knew, which means you're still lying. What else are you lying about? Here's the reporter from the New York Times. My understanding is that Mary Palthola was aware of this effort, that she wasn't directly involved in these activities, but she was kept. Aware by these were her top aides that were participating in this plan, as well as the top Democratic operatives at the national level, which do ultimately answer to Senator Chuck Schumer.

As you said, his spokesperson said that he did not have any knowledge of these activities. But again, it was top Democrats who were participating this for close to a year. What do you say to that? A New York Times reporter going to research this for months says that she's flat out lying. I would.

The only problem I have with that story, I think you're right. It's a good story. It tells an interesting tale, but it may be too late to make a difference. You know, early voting has skewed a lot of these elections, so that story. Came out days after early voting started, so that that will limit any impact it would have.

Could be, except for it's one to two percent. And you got to think you might be able to blunt the one or two percent if this story gets through Alaska. There's five hundred thousand people that have voted, seventy thousand have voted already. There's three hundred thousand to vote, seventy thousand have voted already.

So my sense is, if you could stop that one or two percent from carelessly looking at the wrong Dan Sullivan, maybe that'll work.

So that's the best thing to do. But for some reason, I hear I would know, but every time I look up the local Alaskan papers, they're not playing up this deception. No, of course not. You cannot count on the media in this country for any common sense. I mean, they're very much Democrats, Democrats, Democrats.

You know, I call them Democrats with press passes. You know they pretend to be the media, but in fact they're advocates for a party. That must be so, Chuck Schumer. I told you, Kim Jeffries just doubles down. Didn't call her out specifically.

Here's what Ken Nycopoulos said: As you mentioned, Haley Stevens has chosen to dangerously betray Michigan families' health care freedoms in future with a horrific endorsement of Mike Rogers. Horrific. She knows Mike Rogers is anything but horrific. He is a he's a conservative Republican, hardly a. Firebrand and hardly a rubber stamp for Trump.

She knows better. Yeah, it's party first. Party first. That's what they are, and it's a shame because. We need a good two-party system that argues with sincere arguments over the issues, the economy, etc.

And yet, what we have is one party that has basically opted out by going to the radical route, which is essentially burn it all down. Burn it all down. Start over. America is no good. It's corrupt.

It's got to be destroyed so it can be rebuilt. That's the people the Democrats are welcoming into their party, and so that's why this party is every election cycle goes further and further left. You know, Brian. Just quickly, I'm reminded, and you will remember this too. What a difference Bill Clinton was when he first ran for president.

Ninety-two, how he was a centrist, right, to bring the party back from the Jimmy Carter days, right, and and he did. And what the Democrats need is another Bill Clinton. Yeah, the only thing about Bill Clinton was his personal behavior and his draft and his draft dodging. But compared to Bush Forty-One, yeah. But that's fine.

But he was like somebody said, okay. You know, he said, "Okay, I don't have the majorities in the House and Senate. How do I get a deal?" That's right. That's that's when he and he and the Republicans worked together. And remember also Bill Clinton's "Sister Soldier" moment.

Yep, right when black radicals were calling for the killing of white whites, and many Democrats were silent or cheering on. Bill Clinton said, "No, we're not doing that." I mean, you got to stand up to your party's excesses once in a while. If you don't, you're going to get swept along by them. By the way, McCain and Romney did do that. By the way, and yes, and when Trump doesn't like something, he actually speaks up.

When Obama says, "If you win, that's fine with me." Remember, he flew out on a Saturday to meet Mondami even before he won the election.

So, and with with knowing that Cuomo had a chance in the general, so he doesn't care. Thanks. Yeah, thanks so much, Michael. Good. We look forward to your next column, and hopefully, these polls are wrong because I think it's bad for the country.

Democrats, we have to understand if we're going to win races around the country in South Carolina, in Iowa, in Nebraska, they're going to have to be Republicans that vote for Democrats.

So we can't you can't malign a Democrat who says that she wants to support a Republican for reasons that are legitimate reasons. She has concerns about some of Mr. Osagie's position. On Israel and the Middle East, and those are legitimate. Those are legitimate grievances.

But again, I come back to: I don't understand how you win a primary as a United States Senate nominee for the Democratic Party, or for that matter, any level, and then not reach out to early on to try to bring people together. That is so true, and that is Harold Ford with me on Fox and Friends. Approximately one point three percent of the state's population is Jewish. One hundred and thirty thousand two hundred and twenty-five are Jewish. How any could vote for El Saeed after he can't discriminate between Israel and Iran on who's a bigger threat to our country?

How we should cut them off from all all aid, military, and otherwise. Like we don't get anything back. He's totally clueless. He also doesn't think we should be giving military aid to anyone, Pakistan. Saudi Arabia, really?

Do you understand that the Pentagon actually sells these weapons to these people? That they buy them from us, and when they buy them from us, they have repair contracts, maintenance contracts, and then they look to upgrade those contracts. Does he understand anything about the way a weaponry works, let alone allies? When you create allies, when you give them what say friends and families discount, then you get access to their markets. You get an alliance.

When terms of intelligence, that's what we've done for the last since World War II. Which I'm sure he's disappointed that we prevailed in that.

So I mean, this alliance between the extremist Islamists and the liberal Democrats and the moderates who keep their mouths shut—it can't exist. That's why Haley Stevens and the and the Fettermans and the Joe Mansions who have since left office—they're the ones who are great for this country. Jared Golden is evidently a moderate from Maine. He's like, I quit. You guys don't want me.

I think they're right. BrianKillme. dot com, the place to get tickets for Saturday in Clearwater and Sunday in Jacksonville. BrianKillme. dot com.

He's so busy he'll make your head spin. It's Brian Killmead. Abdul made very clear that I was not welcome. In his campaign, that he didn't need me there, that he didn't want me there, and at some point, you got to look at who's standing for country. You know, there's always a lot of elections taking place in America, and this is one.

I'm going to cast my ballot for Mike Rogers as Haley Stevens, and that's it. And that caused chaos. And this is considered the November surprise, and unlike the October surprise, which I guess you could categorize, the Alaska exposure of two Dan Sullivans just there created to distract from Dan Sullivan and hopefully take enough votes that let Mary Peltola win. How do we know Dan Sullivan was recruited? It was an extensive organization.

Everybody named Dan Sullivan in Alaska was contacted. This guy said, "Yeah, I'll do it." He has not campaigned one single day. He's not political. He just says, "I hate Trump and want to help Mary." So those are two scandals that have blown up. How is going to affect the election?

Matt Taibbi spent a lifetime studying this. He's a national syndicated columnist, pollster, and attorney, and author of the brand new book, "The Honoring of Ignorance." Matt, welcome. Thank you, Brian. Always good to see you.

So good to be with you. First off, what kind of impact do you think if past his prologue, Haley Stevens defecting to Mike Rogers will have in a close race like Michigan?

Well, you know, unlike the New York Times that just dumped a big number showing, you know, Michigan just overwhelmingly Democrat and the like, we like to wait and poll after something like this happens.

So we did. We polled last night. We'll have numbers later today. I'm not going to guess, but I will tell you, it's a tighter race than these ridiculous polls we're seeing. They've been dumped in the last day or so.

It it could easily change the race. I'll note. In a few hours, I will tell you about Alaska. We finished our polling in Alaska last night. That's a tough place to poll, by the way, Brian.

And the race is completely tied now. And Patola had been leading in that race, but once you you said that October surprise. Of all things brought about by the New York Times, I'm shocked by that. But that having been said, that race is now trending in Sullivan's direction. Yeah, you know what's interesting is because you're talking about the poll that came out about four o'clock last night, and it has Republicans losing every single battleground state until Tarico up by seven.

What? I mean, by seven.

Okay, let me put this in perspective.

So my book is not just about polling. It's about how the media creates these mirage machines and convinces everybody the economy's bad, this, that, and the other. Because seventy-five percent of our media is still liberal media, disseminated by Apple and Google and Yahoo News and snippets everywhere and force-fed to their network affiliates. It's hard for Republicans to get their message across.

Now you have a poll like this. There's a section in there called the polling wars, and since I'm leaving and retiring, I don't care. What I say anymore? I'm going to tell the truth.

So here we go. Let me tell you what this same group brought you in 2024. The New York Times, highly ranked by Nate Silver, by the way, they had they polled Georgia, they had Harris winning, North Carolina, Harris winning, Wisconsin, Harris winning. Nevada, Harris winning. Wapo, the Washington Post, which came out with this incredible Kansas D plus ten, in which they had a disclaimer in the thing saying we couldn't find enough Republicans, so we may well be off.

You think they did two polls? That's the only two they did that really were in the last time period of the election in twenty twenty four. They did Michigan, had Harris winning, and they did Pennsylvania and had Harris winning. This is the same old story we get from these folks over and over again, and then they look at pollsters like myself and Trafalgar and Rasmussen, who actually have been very, very accurate, along with Harris and Emerson and some others, and they say, "Oh, we don't care paying attention to them. They're they're more Republican oriented." Well, maybe it's because we give the Republicans a fair shake.

And these races are very close. When we go through them, I'll show how close they are. I want you to hear what Amy Walter says of the Cook Report. Cut three.

Overemphasize the challenging map that Democrats are going after.

Regardless of all the things that Ryan pointed out about the president's approval rating, the price of gas, we haven't seen. I went back for the last 35 years. There hasn't been an election where a party that's out of power flipped two Senate seats that the president had carried by double digits. So, your thoughts about that speculation?

Well, first of all, she's not Charlie Cook. The second observation I have is she may be right about the house. The sad thing is, is there only limited resources we have to poll, and there aren't enough reasonable public pollsters out there to. To poll all of these districts, as a result, we don't know really what's going on at all. We know what's going on in the Senate, but we really don't know in the House.

So we have to sort of swallow this mantra that the legacy media and these quote legacy pollsters have told us, along with the forecasters who also don't get it right, and telling us there is going to be a slaughter in the House. On the Senate side, you notice she hedged a little bit. The reason she's hedging is because let's take a state like Ohio. Yep, we now have Houston down by two.

So he's recovered from the Vivek ad, which dragged him down a bit a couple weeks ago. He's now at two, so he's he's he's on the rise.

Now this is a state that historically goes massively Republican on election day. Yes, so for someone to say, "Oh, Ohio is just it's there for Brown," it's guaranteed. That's the honoring of ignorance. That's the title of my book. It's the way this machine works.

They create the image, then they get the pollsters to ratify it, and then they get the fact checkers to come along and say, "Well, these pollsters and these people are good, and the other ones giving you the truth aren't." And you get all this mixed up together, and. What if you're what if you're a Republican in a state like Michigan right now? Do you feel like getting out of bed if the weather's bad? Because now you've been told by the New York Times that it's insurmountable that Al Sayed is just going to win when they haven't polled after the individual who got almost almost beat Al Sayed has endorsed a Republican. I mean, it's almost malpractice, in my opinion.

In my opinion, right.

So, in other words, of the Ohio race last night came out Brown up by five, Maine Collins is down by six. I don't know. I didn't. Up until then, I never even heard Collins was been down the last month. Talerico by seven.

Rogers is down by eleven.

So, you you think Collins could be down right now?

Well, Collins is always down in the polling. We have her even, but she always outperforms by seven to ten points. They've got to take her down by five or six points in hopes that that's enough to discourage her. And I am not saying they're doing this purposely. Here is the way it works, Brian.

Everybody comes to polling with a background. A lot of the people who come to it are academics. Or they're former Democrats, and on that side, they tend to see their methodology working better and it adores better to the Democratic side. I'm not saying they're cheating. I'm just saying that's the way they see the world.

We come from a more conservative background. Trafalgar, Insider Van, and Treffuson. We work with Republicans, and we we we've been Republicans. I was actually a Republican elected official. But yet, I'm not showing polling right now that shows the Republicans winning massively in any of these states.

I'm being realistic because I want to go out being accurate. But I can tell you to to tell people that these races are seven, eight, ten points. I mean, the Washington Post poll literally said Kansas, which is traditionally Republican. says they said it's ten points to the Democrat and then had to run a disclaimer saying we couldn't get enough Republicans so we may be off. Then why run the poll?

Why put it out there? Not everybody's going to read your little disclaimer.

So it's been a frustrating part of polling, and it's why I say this mirage machine created by the media. A little bit. You talk about this. What about your? Yeah.

What about your track record? You said in 2007 you sold every stock you owned in the summer 2007. Warned in a column that the market was propped up by freshly printed federal cash. We all know what happened in 2008. December 2014, you said, wrote a column: Why Donald Trump could win.

Which was retweeted by Donald Trump himself, that caused massive reverberation because you weren't big into social media at that point.

So you've been forecasting and very confident about your forecasting in the past.

Well, and if you look at the Real Clear Politics average and their scorecard, which just goes based on accuracy, yeah. That we've been one of the most accurate pollsters in all of the presidential cycles, and overall in our entire body of work, we've been among the top ten accurate pollsters in the country. What happens, Brian, is you have these groups like Nate Silver Five Thirty Eight, which has now perished, but others that go in and rate pollsters not based on our accuracy alone, but they use things like are we a member of certain associations? No, we're not because we don't want to give our information to the Roper Institute, which I. I don't trust it all, or do.

Are we transparent?

Well, we put all of our tabs up. For some reason, their person says no.

So, what they do is they take really good pollsters like us, and they fill the gap with polling firms you've never heard of and list them as being better pollsters. I give you two examples: Bolenberg. Bollinger College, which is in Pennsylvania, I'm sure a fine school. They don't poll much other than Pennsylvania. They poll Pennsylvania back in the last presidential election had Harris winning.

He puts Silver rates them among the very best pollsters in the country. One other example, Marquette University Law School. Their fine law school. I guess this is a great way to get some publicity. My law school doesn't poll, but then again, I feel sort of good about that because that'd be competition.

But but Marquette University Law School polled really one state, and that's Wisconsin. They had Harris winning, yet they're ranked among his top pollsters in the nation.

So this is the kind of bull that we have to deal with. Part of this mirage machine between the media and the polling experts and the fact checkers. And it's hard to get the real facts out to the public. It really is. The thing is, you know, you could say, okay, I'm not just, you know, you maybe you're not good at your job, or you don't like the sample size.

But I would hate to think it's a conspiracy to discourage people from voting because the die has been cast. Tell tell people, don't run out to the polls, give up your Tuesday, or write in, or go early voting because this is not going to be a good year year for your party. That's what I hope is not part of this, but you believe it is.

Well, I believe this. I'm not accusing people of openly trying to discourage people from voting. What I am saying is that this—I call it the Mirage Machine—and this quote, "Honoring of Ignorance," the title of the book—that this group has their own bubble, and they create their own mindset, and they decided quite some time ago that the numbers were going against Trump. By the way, their their their approval ratings for Trump are never correct. Donald Trump has a floor of about forty four, and a ceiling of about fifty four.

And if you go any lower, any higher, you're off base because he has a certain percent in this country who support him no matter what, and a certain percent they can't stand him no matter what. But they take him down to the 30s, and they've had him down to low 34. Yeah, oh yeah, lowest in history of any president at this point. And then they tee off of that, and they use those numbers to help weight their polling of these races. And just in my opinion, it is something that they do every time.

Brian, can you ever remember a time when the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC, ABC, CNN came out? And I'm not talking about generic ballot because sometimes they play around with that a little bit. In which there were critical battleground states, and they came out and showed the Republican leading by big numbers. And any of them, never, ever, never happened. Matt Taibbi is with us now.

His book is now out, *The Honoring of Ignorance*. And Matt's going to be retired at the end of the year, but you know him as a syndicated columnist. You see him all over the channel, and he's taking a look at what's happening now in the midterms. The other thing I thought is when when people look at Donald Trump's approval rating, I thought his ceiling is forty eight. Because I just look at the country, how polarized it is.

Even if you know there was no war, the economy was soaring. You know, there'll be something, whether it's ice or something else, to emphasize to make him unacceptable. And they'll say, "Look, he's underwater." Because in a time in which was so polarized. I think that no matter what party you're in, that certain amount of never going to go for you. Like maybe in years past, you might like a Reagan or a Clinton because they maybe go across party lines that weren't necessarily as polarizing.

But now you have Trump that's going to hit that ceiling. But they always quick to say he's so unpopular, and now they say his economy isn't as good as last time. Matt, I never remember them saying anything good about the economy in his first term, even though the economy was great. Despite there was all about Russia.

Well, let me give you a great example.

So, you are probably right about forty-eight, forty-nine, but there are moments when he gets into the fifties again because we remember he was above fifty percent when he was elected.

So, about a year and a half ago, was right before we had the Iran the first attack on Iran, I believe. He met with Putin and at a summit, and we polled and showed his approval rating. I think at fifty-four percent.

So, a group called Snopes. Put out a, you know, they're a fact checker. Sure, they put they put out a. I'll paraphrase what they said. Poll that shows Trump at fifty four percent.

Basically, they said it was suspicious because conducted by a pollster that doesn't show methodology and doesn't have credibility, and no one knows anything about. And the person writing the Snopes article says, literally, we don't know if they have a physical office or not.

Well, we—I live in Florida, but the physical office has been right near where the Braves play for years, and everybody in Georgia knows it because we own the largest political and news magazine in the state as well. Secondly, said we don't know about their credibility because there's no about us on the web page.

Well, there was, and it mentioned that we had polled for ABC affiliates, NBC affiliates, all of the Fox-owned and operated affiliates for news for Politico as well as Newsmax. Yet all of this managed to slip by this fact checker, so it was all designed to put a hit job on us and make it look like we were some nobody pollster. And so, even when he gets high, they'll find a way. To tear the poll apart. Yeah, the only and you know, two years out from now, Matt, you'll be retired.

They'll be like, you know, Trump never had this problem. Trump, he'll look better and better and better. And both sides, we can learn from Trump. We can learn from Trump. I know exactly what's going to happen because I saw with Reagan when I, you know, I was in high school and they were like, oh, he's he's too old, he's out of it, he's he's has no control of his own administration.

Next thing you know, he's says near great. They name an airport after him. His his funeral was a national day of mourning. Matt Towery, congratulations on the book. It's really making a difference.

The Honoring of Ignorance, and thanks so much for all you do. Thank you, Brian. It's great to see you the other night. Yep, we were at the wedding, Ainsley Hannity wedding. It was fantastic.

Back in a moment. Don't go anywhere, Brian Kilmeade. We'll be right back. Information you want, truth you demand. This is the Brian Kilmeade show.

Motivated, Democratic Party has been a given in this midterm because of people's dissatisfaction with the with the price of vital goods. Gasoline and and groceries and so on, and their dislike of President Trump, which is a powerful force. The question has been: Can Trump get out and motivate his people enough to overcome some of that? And that's just it. And I think that even even the poll last night that came out with the New York Times said that Republicans are likely to vote on Election Day, and nine percent of undecideds undecideds will go to the Republicans by an average of nine percent.

So if you're undecided today and you see that as a big number, this is what I've also been told by pollsters. If it's at fifty. Looks pretty, you know. That looks pretty good for the person at fifty. But when you see forty three forty or forty thirty eight, just know there's so many undecideds.

You could throw out that poll, which means it's so it's too fluid. It's too fluid to worry about. I just think it's pretty amazing what dropped when Haley Stevens went from. If you just apologize and disavow a Super PAC video saying Jews are responsible for high prices and everything else, I'll see you at a black church. And he basically says, "I don't need your help." So she says, "You know who does?

Mike Rogers. Listen, the Brian Kilmeat show. Don't forget, I'm going to be in Clearwater on Saturday and Sunday in Jacksonville. BrianKilmeat.com for tickets. Uniting the States tour." From the Fox News Radio studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show.

Brian Kilmeade. Hi, one.

So glad you're there. It's the Brian Kilmeade show. It's going to be a big hour. Got Congressman Mike Rogers going to be joining us in 20 minutes. He is in the real clear average, trailing by anywhere from two to five points overall.

But I think it's a lot closer. And now you have the Titanic move by Haley Stevens to come out and say, "I'm going for Rogers," even though he's a Democrat that barely lost the. Democrat nomination to Al Sayed, but he's so polarizing and he's so anti-Israel. And by the way, he has done nothing to consolidate his black support that she can't side with him anymore. That was the November surprise.

The October surprise, I would say, is the Dan Sullivan's. Plural. It was discovered not only is that going on in Alaska. Another Dan Sullivan who doesn't want the job, competing for next Senate spot because he's got the same name. It would throw off would-be voters.

But it turns out Mary Palatova knew all about it.

Now is denying it. If she's lying about this, what else is she denying? And we have the situation in Iran. We know after this midterms, the president's making indication we're going back for epic fury. Epic fury the sequel.

We'll see what happens there.

So. Let's bring in Brianna Lyman. She's election correspondent here at Fox, and excuse me, you see her over the channel at Fox, and she's election correspondent over at the Federalist. Brianna, welcome. Thanks for having me, Brian.

Hey, first off, do you think that this is a calculation by El Saeed because he believes that young people your age that are so anti-Israel in Michigan, especially on campuses, that if she stands strong. When winking an eye to Hassan Piker, he gets more the twenty-somethings and doesn't have to worry too much about the Jewish vote.

Well, I think it's interesting because obviously Michigan has those big college campuses where you would see that young people turn out, and young people are particularly infatuated with what I call the TikTokocracy, which is you know the TikTok algorithm it assigns them a moral cause, they then demand their candidate speak to that moral cause, even if it's not a necessarily domestic issue. That being said, with El Saeed, I think the people that will push him over the edge if he is to win tomorrow is going to be your average white middle-aged person because at the end of the day. Michigan has a lot of white folks who just don't like the gas prices, and you can't blame them for that. But I do think that's who will be the people that push him over the edge. Even if he loses a significant amount of black voters and Jewish voters, if there's enough white voters pissed off about gas prices, that could be what you know bridges his gap.

All right, let me. I know it's the last days, but you wonder how many other people feel like Kaylee Stevens, but just so loyal to the party that didn't want to make the move, and that she makes the move, and they feel it's the green light for them. Here she. Is on what went into that decision? Cut eight.

This is just a weight off my shoulders.

Okay, Abdul has been getting angrier and angrier. I was trying to help, and I endorsed him. That ad was very painful. There's so many Democrats who want to vote for our Democratic nominee, and they're just being told, "Hey, this is a party you don't belong in, or this is a campaign you don't belong in." And she just jumped out, and basically, by the reaction, they kicked her out of the party.

So she's out of the Michigan Democratic Party, even though she's city city congresswoman. Yeah, and what's crazy about all this, Brian, is that Democrats are more mad at Haley Stevens for endorsing Mike Rogers than they were when Jay Jones fantasized about murdering Republicans.

So I think that tells you all you need to know about the state of the Democrat Party. I also think with Haley Stevens is interesting. Remember, El Saeed was supposed to have a blowout in the primary. He only, you know, eked by in the primary against Haley Stevens.

So he really needed her to help bridge that coalition. I don't think Alyssa Slotkin is going to do as much as Haley Stevens would have, but he alienated. Her and I think she is one of those you know Democrats who wants to be a Joe Manchin Democrat in a state like Michigan that is moving further left, and she's struggling, and maybe she doesn't have a place in the Big Ten Democrat Party anymore.

So it's interesting because there are some these Democrats are trying to be moderates. Yeah, the one in South Carolina pretending to be moderate, the one in Nebraska pretending to be moderate, the one in Kansas pretending to be pretending to be moderate. Jason Turkish of of in Iowa is running against. Is got a is basically a neck and neck race, and here is with with Hinson. Here he is after hearing about Haley, Haley's fiance, and then later Haley, deciding Haley Stevens deciding to go, and go with Rogers.

Cut fifteen. If you can't do something as simple. As say that Jews are not, in fact, to blame for the cost of eggs, for the cost of bananas. We've got some real, real big issues. But look, we've seen these moments from Abdul before.

You know, ninety-six hours before. The primary campaign, four or five days before before the primary election, he said my fiancee was the least capable politician in America and predicted a massive blowout. It's a very close race. What does Haley do? He hugs Abdul.

He open she opens her arms and her her heart to Abdul and tries to tries to bring the party together.

Now at this moment, where she hears the pains of the Jewish community, what does she say? She says, "I still want to show up for my party for my country." I just need you to say Jews aren't to blame for the price of bananas, for the price of eggs, and she's asked not to come. Yep, she's asked not to come. That's her. That's her fiance in particular.

Asked not to come, so she doesn't. And then she flipped over to Mike Rogers. Do you think that makes a difference? I think if what happened last week, it could have made a difference. I think the biggest thing that would make a difference is black voters, who before Haley Stevens even jumped in, have been trending toward Mike Rogers.

We saw Hannity did an exclusive man on the street last week, and you had a lot of black voters saying, "I'm a Democrat, but I'm going to vote for Mike Rogers because he's someone who's who I know. He's in my community." Elsayed, I think, like many Democrats, has taken the black vote for granted, and instead tried to court the Muslim community or the immigrant community. And black voters are starting to wake up and realize that Democrats have. Assumed they had their vote, but never tried to court them with policies that mattered most to them. You saw it in places like Detroit, where Black Americans were saying, "Why are illegal aliens getting all these benefits when I've been here for hundreds of years and I'm still struggling?" So I think Democrats are going to have to reckon with the Black vote eventually.

Yeah, I guess we'll see. I mean, you got to try; they can't take it for granted anymore. I wouldn't think it worked for anyone to do that. In terms of the Dan Sullivan situation, he continues to press forward. The courts aren't cooperating, but it's too late anyway.

I think. There's about sixty-five thousand voted already. The most they could expect, I think, is three hundred thousand to vote in the election. It's a terribly challenging tundra over there. Dan Sullivan was on with me last night and talked about the fact that Mary Pelotola is lying about knowing about this.

Is the thing you should take away from this whole incident? Cut thirty-six. The broader point is we have these legal challenges that are going. What I'm focused on right now, Brian. And I want all Alaskans to focus on is getting out the vote.

Gotcha. The one way we stop this scheme in its tracks. And Senator, everyone's going to make sure Alaskans get out and vote. And and they did. More from more from Sullivan on Peltola denying that she was a part of this.

Cut thirty-five. Going back to this issue of disdain and contempt for the people of Alaska, her staff. Was do as they were putting the scheme together with Schumer and Schumer's aides. They put together focus groups of Alaskans to see if they could be cheated and would fall for the scheme. And then they were making fun of these Alaskans.

This is the woman who wants to be a U.S. senator making fun and holding in contempt our fellow Alaskans, all of us. It's disgusting. Your thoughts on that? Yeah, I mean that's the soft bigotry of low expectations, which is that Alaskans are you know rural voters, for example, and maybe too stupid to pick up on someone trying to deceive them.

I also think you make a good point. There are a lot of votes that have already been cast. That's the problem with this extended early voting for what six weeks in some states, where election day has become election month, and late October surprises like this brand new New York Times bombshell doesn't matter because people have already cast their ballot, and maybe some of them would have changed their votes, but it's too Late now, I do think for every race it comes out to turnout, and there are a lot of dissatisfied Republicans with gas prices. And I would say to them, I get it, gas prices suck, but President Trump has delivered on the other things he promised, like a shut down border, like immigration enforcement, and to an extent, the president and the party is a victim of their own success. People don't remember seeing thousands of illegal aliens crossing the border every day, so they think it's fine.

I can give Democrats a chance on other issues. It's not fine because Democrats. Will reverse every victory Trump and the Republican Party has had.

So to an extent, they're a victim of their own success. I get people are frustrated, but you will punish Trump for two years, and you will be punished by these Democrat senators for an extra four years. Brianna Lyman, thanks so much. Great job, appreciate it. When we come back, Mike Rogers joins us from the campaign trail.

You're listening to the Brian Kilmeade Show. Both sides, all opinions. It's Brian Kilmeade. From his mouth to your ears, it's Brian Kilmeade. Hey, welcome back, everyone!

One of the busiest guys in politics is Mike Rogers today, but he managed to give us some time to catch up with him on the road. I know Senator Dave McCormick's going to try to grab you today. I saw him signing your your boss. I assume with your permission because he's part of the transportation. How crazy has it been over the last twenty four hours, Congress?

When you found out that Haley Stevens decided not only to not endorse Al Sayed, but join you at church and then endorse you full-throated approval, what's that been like? Boy, it just flipped this thing upside down. I mean, we we have seen other Democrats come out against Abdul. He's so extreme. But boy, this sure put a fine point on it.

When she called us yesterday morning, we were on our way to service. Had a great conversation, and and this is what I think is really important. I mean, the Democrats are attacking her with mercy, and now they're questioning her mental sanity. I mean, it's really ugly, ugly, ugly. This is a congresswoman who just stood up and said America is more important than my party right now, and we cannot elect somebody who is so anti-Jewish, who is divisive.

Who's angry? Who's mean about his politics? It's just the wrong thing to do. And that happened yesterday morning, and it kind of happened fast. And boy, I'll tell you, it just completely changed our day.

I'll tell you.

Well, I know, I know, it made a good way happy. Listen to Chuck Schumer. This is despicable betrayal. Senate Democrats, uniting our support for Abdul. I say it because we know we'll fight for economic interests of working families, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.

You know, you have. Other people like Nancy Pelosi, who was kind of like agnostic about him a few days ago, comes out and says Haley Stevens has chosen to dangerously betray Michigan families' healthcare freedoms in future with the horrific endorsement of Mike Rogers. Horrific. Oh well, listen, they have nowhere else to go because if they're introspective for one minute, Brian, and look at their candidate, this guy is a. Dumpster fire, you know he is a DSA-aligned candidate.

He's going to move the Senate way to the left. Every DSA policy from defunding the police and opening prisons, open them the border, give them IDs, and allow them to get into Medicare—all of those things he supported openly and and with his own words. Then you have this Muslim Brotherhood tie takes money from people who openly support Hamas and Hezbollah. And he will not condemn the most racist ad I think I've seen in my lifetime, blaming Jews for the price of bananas. I mean, this thing is 1933.

So she had the courage to stand up. And by the way, she said she's going to vote Democrat up and down the ticket. Instead of questioning why, why, and what, why they're trying to do this is to change the topic. It's because this guy is so terrible. He disinvited her to the campaign, being a part of his campaign, and condemned her because she said, "Hey, can you please condemn this ad and talk about and condemn Hassan Piker, who has said all these vile things about America and Jews and blacks?" They won't do it, and so instead of doing that, they attack this congressman who had the courage to say this is not the right direction for the Democrat Party or America.

But the thing is, Congressman, how do you explain that this is prior to this announcement? But the the CNN poll has you down fifty three forty two to El Saeed. What do your internals say? I mean, I was struck by this. I thought it was a one or two point race either way.

What do you think? We have it as we have a one or two point race. I mean, we saw the New York Times. We looked at the cross tabs. They had us down seven.

They say that ninety six percent of Detroiters are going to vote for Al Saeed. I know that for a fact is not true. Matter of fact, that would be the highest percentage ever in the history. We've been making great inroads in the black community. Try I would these polls ought to be outlawed.

There, I think they're designed for voter suppression because our polling, our modeling, and polling shows this is a tied or we're up by two.

So we think that's closer to the truth. Remember, Democrats for Rogers is a pretty big group.

Now I came within nineteen thousand votes last time out of five point six million. I doubt that I've lost that that percentage overnight. That's not happening. As a matter of fact, he doesn't have his base coalesce. The black black voters in Detroit, African American voters across the state.

Aren't quite there. We have Jewish Democrats for Rogers. If we get half, half, that's a seventy thousand vote swing down for him, thirty-five up for us, thirty-five.

So you start going through the math. You go that. A, how do you pull that? And B, I just don't believe it, Mike Rogers. But they'll say, well, you didn't have Donald Trump at the top of the ticket.

Who won Michigan?

So didn't he help you get votes and close that gap with Slotnick? There is about a hundred thousand voters who came in and only voted for Donald Trump.

So some notion that that carried us up is—we don't believe that's true. Our base is fired up; they understand the stakes of this race.

Well, there's a reason you have to bring in Barack Obama and Jim Clyburn within weeks of each other into Detroit to try to get Detroiters to vote for Abdul Al-Sayed, who has been dismissive. Has fanned the flames of Arab and Black tension in the city. This guy's a horrible candidate. He does it by subtraction, and he went after Haley Stevens and her seven hundred and fifty thousand voters.

So just a few few months ago, and so I just don't buy it. And we're making such good inroads. There's no way you would pull that. We feel pretty confident.

So I want you to hear what James Carville said. He lost his mind. Cut twenty one. What made Haley Stevens? I think it was just.

I think Allison ate off of the one cheeseburger, and Rogers offered a two cheeseburgers. And in the spirit of John Fetterman, give me another cheeseburger, and I'll give you my soul. I mean, lady, if you're going to sell your soul, you got to get more for it. The cheeseburger, okay? What does that even mean?

He's trying to say that she got bought off, or some crazy notion. Did you do anything like that? Absolutely not. Matter of fact, we didn't know was going to happen. We were driving to the church yesterday morning when the call came in, and I just invited her to come in.

She decided between when she got in the car and she got to the church, she was going to not only withdraw the endorsement but endorse me. And part of that reason, this is what they want. They want to attack Haley Stevens. For saying I'm a Democrat, I'm voting Democrat down the ticket, except for one race, Abdul Ellisite. I'm voting for Mike Rogers.

Think of that's what she said, right? And she said I'm not asking anyone to go with me. I'm just telling you what I'm doing. And think of this. Their whole plan now is to come out and attack her with viciousness.

They accuse her of getting getting something a cheeseburger. They attacked her. Maybe she had a mental break. She didn't have any of those. She's the only one in the Democrat Party today that has enough common sense to know you elect somebody that hates a group of people this much.

It's going to be a disaster for Democrats and Americans. Shei complimented you last week and said Mike Rogers is is involved with the black community, trying to get a vote like nobody I've ever seen in my lifetime. But Woodings. Besides trying, what what could you do for the black community that other republic that you learned after listening, like you have, over the last six months?

Well, showing up is one. I mean, trust me, the Democrats troll through Detroit when they need votes in an election time, and you don't hear from them again. They've been voting Democrat over and over and over. As I tell them, how can we go wrong here? It's only gotten worse.

If you want your kids to read, only fifteen percent of eighth graders in the city of Detroit can read at the eighth grade level. That is a recipe for disaster, poverty, and welfare. You're going to fix that. I have a plan to fix that. Absolutely, it's reading reclamation.

It's a phonics-based interdiction program. The pastors are excited about it. We're going to get that done on building houses. I have a plan. We have one hundred twenty-two thousand vacant lots in the city.

I'm going to put them in a land bank, a federal land bank. When you when a builder goes in and grabs one of those lots and buys it. Builds a house on it, sells it to a family. One hundred percent of that lot profit is tax free for that builder. We're trying to incentivize builders to start building.

That's huge. We have a way to to combine private sector, not a government run grocery store, private sector run in these neighborhoods, and then use the neighborhoods to to learn how to staff it, manage it, run it, and maybe eventually own it, so that people who go to church with On Sundays are the same people running this grocery store.

So we've had really, really good progress talking about solutions. We are, and Congressman, thanks so much for joining our show and keeping us up to date in a very intriguing race. The whole country is watching you, Congressman Mike Rogers. Thanks so much. Best of luck in the election tomorrow.

It's finally here. A talk show that's real. This is the Brian Kilmeade show. We're getting ready to Terry Dikka doesn't want to go yet. He says, "Wait till I see that final second." Who's going to argue with Terry?

He wins most of those. Walter Payton, Mike Ditka. Hungry Chicago finally champions on this January day in New Orleans. 46 to 10, the final. Yep, that's Dick Enberg.

We definitely missed that guy on play-by-play, and that of course was the zenith of one of the greatest seasons ever. The Chicago Bears win the Super Bowl handily, as they won their championship game handily. The only game they lost was the Miami Dolphins. Was it Monday Night Football? Monday Night Football.

Jimbo Kervert here, Pro Football Hall of Fame with the Chicago Bears, and Jimbo, great to see you. Brian, always good to see you. Thanks for thoughts. Hearing that, 1985, long time ago, right? It doesn't feel like a long time ago.

It feels a long time ago too. I mean, you know, it's the last time the Bears won the Super Bowl.

So hopefully, we got a quarterback. Oh, you got a great one. Yeah, so decent season going, and I think Ben Johnson is doing a great job.

So hopefully, they can get back there. Love to see him win another one. What was your feelings on the passing of Mike Ditka? We kind of didn't see him for the last couple of years, but when he was been everywhere since he left football, I mean, he turned into one of the best commentators around. Oh, it's great.

Tough. It's just tough. You know, he was. He was one of a kind, and he was a great guy to play for. Tough, you know, really tough guy to play for, but fair.

So, I mean, we're going to miss him. But he he was struggling the last couple years, and physically and mentally. And I know it was tough on his family and him as well.

So it was it was very difficult. But I think he's in a way better place because you know that he was eighty six, eighty seven. But it was a hard eighty six or eighty seven. I know. I mean, this guy played full contact football.

They weren't worried about concussion protocols back then. No, no. And I think he had like four hip. Replacements and three knee replacements. He had a lot of stuff going.

Seventy-two percent, they say, of football players turns out they have some form of CRT. Yeah, that's CT. Yeah, that's that's not a good statistic. Do you feel like you have it? No, I mean, I feel.

I mean, I feel great. I just think sometimes people are good until they're not good. Does that make sense? You know, you feel okay and then you're not okay. I've had many teammates of mine that.

You know they're good, and then the next time you see them, they're not good.

So I mean, it—you don't know when it's going to happen, and hopefully, it never happens to me. But it's a—it's a debilitating thing, and I hate to see it. Right as you look at look around the league right now, Lamar Jackson looks like he's out for the season.

Now, if you're the Ravens, do you tear it down? Do you say okay? My season's done anyway. I mean, I'm watching the cult sell off their team literally. You know, for picks, they're not just giving it people.

They're just giving it. They're like, we can't win it, so that's it. We'll be done. And there's so many quarterbacks in this draft coming up. Yeah.

So, do you look around and decide this week? Maybe I think we should just play it out. And make a you know, and start selling up our guys for picks. God, it's hard to do that. It's hard to play out the string like that.

I mean, I see, I've seen teams do that in you know years past when it's been like week fourteen, fifteen. You know, you might mail it in. Would you want to be able to give players when there's a need for the playoffs, like the Giants, by looking at their running back, and they picked up JJ McCarthy before all these other teams started losing quarterbacks? Where McCarthy would have went somewhere else, right? Right.

I mean, and I think that you know, there's a rumor out there the Bears might. Trade their backup to to Baltimore, right? I mean, that's what they're talking about right now because because Lamar Jackson's out.

So who knows? I mean, I think these general managers are young, aggressive general managers, and you're right; they're trading people, they're moving people around. It's like baseball, like you said, you don't see that very often, right? I want here's here's I just want you to hear just before we move on. I just want Mike Ditka talking on winning that Super Bowl, Cut Fifty Nine.

How does this does this team rank with the great teams of all time?

Well, give us a few years. We'll be able to tell you a little bit better. Not one year. At what point during the season did you sense that your team had greatness within it? I think when we pulled together in San Francisco, that was the first time.

And then I think when Jim went down and Steve came in, and we played the great game against the Cowboys, I thought we were a little bit better than average.

So, do you remember the Niners were still strong then in '85, right? Yeah, yeah. We, you know, they beat us in '84 pretty good in the NFC Championship game. Taught us a lesson, Brian. We were out there, and they said, "Bring an offense next time." You know, so they actually said that.

Yeah, yeah. So, you know, a lot of their players said this. We went out there next time, we brought an offense, and we dominated them, and we got through the season. And everyone talks about Miami, and you know, losing that game in Miami Monday night, but that's the best thing that ever happened. Why?

Because I think we just thought you know we could beat anyone. I mean, I thought we were going to go down and kick the hell out of Miami. I really did. And you know, they got a they had a Hall of Fame quarterback, and they spread us out. And Buddy Ryan didn't want to play nickel, refused to, and thought we could play with them.

And they beat us.

So I think it taught us a lesson. Said, hey, this isn't going to be easy. I mean, we're going to have to work at this thing. It's not going to be easy. And you're the expert.

I'm just uh, I've seen thousands of games, but I never played. But it was something about. Dan Marino, the way he released quickly to receivers to kind of not allow you the deep drop to allow the defense to tee off and react.

Well, he's my teammate, you know.

So I mean, I knew what he could do, and I remember telling him, "Well, the NFL didn't. He was the bottom of the first round. Yeah, that was unfortunate." But he showed them, and he ended up in the right place. And you know, I remember Buddy Ryan coming up to me at that week and said, "Hey, we're going to blitz your buddy and you know knock him on his ass." I said, "You do that, he's going to kill you, right?" And he did, and because. But he refused to play Nickel.

I mean, you got it. You had Duper and what would that have done? I think would I'd have played six defensive backs. I mean, they couldn't run the ball. They didn't.

You know, they couldn't do anything. They were just a throwing team. You had Nat Moore. You had Duper and Clay, and they get open on anybody.

So I mean, it was it was a bad defense. I think if we would have played them in the Super Bowl, they would have had to maybe tie Buddy to a chair. But we definitely would have played Nickel. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah. I guess it was a pride thing.

After a while, yeah. You know, it's also a shame too is that. I mean, it shouldn't matter, but he didn't win a Super Bowl, and that's all people talk about. Yeah, it shouldn't because he's a great, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Could be the greatest, you know, pure passer of all time.

So, you know, I mean, that debate is all out there. Everyone talks about you know Brady being a go. I mean, God, he won six Super Bowls. I mean, but Joe Montana's pretty good. Terry Bradshaw's pretty good, right?

I mean, and that was in the day when they used to, you know, you get your ass handed to you if you're a quarterback. You know, so I mean, it' a little bit different. You're allowed to hit him. Yeah, you were allowed to hit him.

So I think different years; it's hard to compare.

So I mean, I mean, if you looked at Dan Marino, if you just take away and just say you know Super Bowls aren't part of it, probably the greatest quarterback ever played. What's interesting is with his knees. Yeah, like I grew up when Namath could never move. I never saw Namath being able to move. They say he used to be able to move before Alabama.

Used to be what somewhat of a scrambling quarterback. Yeah, and they had no had no technology to really rebuild knees.

So I only saw the guy. Drop back and be a target because the Jets are only good for a handful of years. The same thing, though. Do you think Marino could could excel again today, being that he's so immobile? Oh yeah, oh yeah.

I mean, the way he can't hit a quarterback now. I mean, I'll be better. You can't touch him. I mean, he's going to sit back there, and I mean, you walk by him to hit him a little bit, he's going to throw a flag.

So, guys wouldn't want to do that, and guys would be afraid to get a flag, and he just starts slinging it all over the place.

So, yeah, I mean, he the records he was in there today in the league today, the records guys are setting, he blows right past all those.

So when you when you Look at a coach makes such a difference. Like you hear in baseball all the time, managers can't manage like they used to. Football coaches can't, especially in college. If you're too tough on a guy, he's like, "Okay, I'm going through the portal. I'm training somewhere else." You know, we don't win a championship.

I get more money.

So right now, college's got to get fixed. But in the pros, can you still coach people hard? And I think I'm answering my own question when it looks like John Harbaugh is. Yeah.

So you can tell people, go take a seat. You just, you know, you just fumbled three times. Yeah.

Not going to call your agent the next. Even if they do, I mean, then then they'll get somebody else. I mean, you still can coach these guys hard. I think you, I think you can, and I think you have to. I think you got to demand execution and excellence.

And if you don't get it, then you got to get somebody else. I mean, this is the NFL. It's like say, not for long, right?

So you got to be there. You got to prepare. You got to stay healthy. You got to do all the things you got to do to be successful. And if you're not, there's always someone to replace you.

And you know what? A lot of times, guys don't want to get replaced. You know why? Because you might never see the.

So two things. Do you think it's harder? I know you're not a quarterback. Jimbo Covert, our guest, but do you think it's harder to be a quarterback now? I look at these playbooks, and I almost I look like it looks like a physics textbook.

Yeah.

So do you think it's harder to play now, when opposed to it seemed like Tarleton, and though that era was drawing places up in the sand, like Sandlot. Who knows? I mean, I think that playing quarterback is the hardest position in professional sports by far. Any of them getting harder? It's getting harder as well.

But I think there's guys that have a knack for it. You know, there's guys have a knack for it, and there's guys that don't. There's guys that can read defenses and understand what defenses are trying to do to them, disguise coverages, and there's guys that really just don't ever have it. You know, and you can see that, right? And so, in the old days, they kind of forced guys there because guys used to call their own plays.

You're right, and Tarkenton, Bradshaw, all those guys called their own plays. They don't do that anymore. You know, it's like in baseball, the pitches come. From the dugout, right? I mean, it's the same kind of thing.

So they don't let catchers call games anymore.

So I think it's you guys just have a knack for it, and I think those are the guys you see are the the top tier quarterback. When you see a Darnold come to his own and get a Super Bowl, when it took he was the biggest bust here in New York, they just let him go, and everyone's like, "Yeah, that's probably the best." Back up in San Francisco, back up, and then starts in Minnesota, and then wins a Super Bowl. Yeah, and you know he's big guys. He's like almost your size. Yeah, and and you just is that.

That a matter of patience because it does take time to figure out defenses. If you have the physical skill, how patient should you be with a quarterback? If they have the physical skills and they show flashes, then I think you got to be patient. And sometimes, you know, Brian, a change of scenery is a good thing. You know, you get in there, maybe you and the coach don't get along, maybe you and the coordinator aren't jiving, and so you know, sometimes a change of scenery.

I mean, he changed a couple places and he found a home where he gets along with the coaches and the coordinator and the players and. You know when you get that combination and you put it all together, sometimes good things happen. And also, can't they? Isn't a coordinator really responsible to design an offense that you can excel in, as opposed to this is my offense? Excelling it, absolutely.

I mean, if you if you have an offense where you're going to be rolling guys out and having moving pocket and all that, and a guy can't really do that, it's not excels at that. Why do it? Right? I mean, you gotta you gotta kind of adjust your offense to the talent that you have on your receivers and your quarterback, and you gotta have. Make sure you can protect the guy.

If you can't protect the guy, it doesn't matter who you got back there and who you got running routes. Right.

The thing is, I look at what's happening to the Giants to JJ McCarthy, where everyone said even when he came, the guy's a bust. I go, wait, he's a bust. I only thought he played a season half, but if he had any ability with that team, he wouldn't be third string quarterback. Right.

That's why he was available for a fifth round pick. They know football; you don't. What do you mean? And it turns out. In the two games I have seen, I've never seen a guy more confident.

We're putting balls in difficult places, and now we see almost a dramatic victory over the Saints and a victory in overtime over the Texans. Yeah, I mean. This guy just got there a month ago.

Well, you know, sometimes, like I said, a change of scenery, a good coach, a guy to walk you through it. I'm sure he's had his head in that playbook a lot, and he's been spending a lot of time with a coordinator and doing the things he necessary to be successful, and taking it seriously and doing the things he has to do. But you know, obviously, he wouldn't got drafted as high if he didn't have the talent.

So I just see this quote from Parcells that said Covert was better than all of the guys in the NFC at the time. Way better. It's not even close. He was one of the best in my 30 years of football. Other guys have to have help against Taylor.

You didn't. Yeah.

Why? He had a. We never saw linebackers like that, right? Yeah.

Well, I think a couple things. I think. First of all, I think he's the greatest defensive player ever played. I mean, Lawrence Taylor, and I played against him three times. I was lucky enough to not—he didn't get any sacks on me three times.

But we were in really good down and distances then. You know what I mean? I mean, we were good, and we weren't in third and long all the time. When you're in third and long all the time, yeah, they can tee off on you. And when you're in second and four, you can do a lot of different things.

So it kind of freezes guys. They can't just tee off on you. That's number one. And then I think secondly, I just matched up.

Well, you're bigger, yeah, and I just feel like I I did that, and I knew we had to play. I had to play with every linebacker was, but every almost every offensive line was bigger than him. He was 240, right? Yeah, yeah, but he could run like a deer, and he was quick, and he had great hands, and he could do everything. I mean, he's the greatest defensive player ever lived.

I I just feel like in those games we were in we were in good down in distances, and I wasn't put in bad situations. You're put in bad situations. I don't care who you have rushing the passer.

So that's going to be difficult.

So I don't know if you remember you. Beat them in the championship game, right? Yeah.

So the Forty Nineers beat you; they win the Super Bowl. Then you beat, then you beat the Giants; you win the Super Bowl. Then the next year, the Giants in eighty six come back and win the Super Bowl. They just celebrated, I think, thirty years yeah, thirty years since that Super Bowl. And he came out, and it's like.

This coach wants to dial in those guys. Yeah, he keeps bringing those guys back to address the locker room.

Now I understand how it works in high school or maybe college. Yeah, but it amazes me too to see guys in their thirties, late twenties, who want to see the sixty-year-old to talk about those times.

Well, they should. What is that like? They should. I mean, I grew up a Steeler fan. Like my my my hero is Joe Green.

I wanted to be Joe Green. Right.

That's who I wanted to be. And you know, and I love all those guys. Disappointed your family being off. Yeah, Lynn Swann, you know John Stall, and they show up. It would matter to you.

I see him at the Hall of Fame, and I'm like in awe because I get to sit. I get to sit down next to Mel Blount and have lunch. I mean, you know what I mean? I mean, it's it's it's your heroes. But you both wear gold jackets.

Yeah, yeah, it's your heroes.

So you when you when you when you see that, I think to bring guys back in front of guys today.

Now there's some guys that maybe don't want to listen. There's some guys I've heard this before, but. When you see guys that are standing there in the front row and they're watching and they're hearing it, those are the guys you want to see. This is what I was encouraged by. Is because I I played college soccer at 22.

All that stuff mattered. But then when you get older, you think to yourself, "Wow, why was I buying into that?" But I noticed that Harbaugh started saying the New York Giants. He starts saying everyone's like, "Why does he keep repeating himself?" He's trying to tell people there's a magic to the uniform, there's a magic to the legacy. But can guy can grown men buy into that? And I think the answer is yes.

You you put this on, you represent a hundred years of football. I want you to meet some of them. Yeah.

No, you are exactly right. Mike Ditka did the same thing with us. He said, "When you bring back Putkus, when you put that helmet on with that C on the side of it, it means something special." Right, you don't disrespect that, and you pull that jersey over your shoulder pads, and you go in that field, and you're representing the Chicago Bears in the city of Chicago. And we believed it; we really did, and it's true.

So when you see things like that, I think bringing these guys back and saying the New York Giants and and and and setting that foundation for excellence is what people need to hear. Lastly, are the are the Chicago Bears going Indiana? They're real; they're for real. I don't think they're going to Indiana, though. I think they're for real.

What do you mean? I mean, they said they have a stadium waiting. They signed a deal. They say, but I, I, I'm still holding out hope, Brian, that they're going to go to Arlington Heights. They're still going to remain in Illinois.

I'm holding out hope for that. I know there's a glimmer there, and people are still having conversations. I'm, I know Indiana's there, but yeah, they're, they're that team. I need them to stay in Chicago. It's obviously not Michael.

Do you want a roof on that building? Yeah, you have to. Yeah, I'd like to have a retractable. That would be awesome. You know, retractable dome.

Look at Minnesota. Remember how cold it was, and now they put the roof on. It's just you got to have it. You, I mean, some say they want the Bears to have that advantage. You guys know the cold.

Yeah, we. It's brutal. We always said it was bear weather until we lost the NFC Championship game in San Francisco, and it was like thirteen below, and they kicked our ass.

So that bear weather only goes so far. Jimbo Kover, thanks so much. It was great to see you, Brian. Right back in a moment. Learning something new every day on the Brian Kilmeade Show, a radio show like no other.

It's Brian Kilmeade. Are we ready to show the world who California is and what we stand for? Do we know what we stand for? And so we know. What to fight for?

Two days to go. Two days to go. We love each other. Yeah, she's a very inspiring, childlike teacher.

Sounds like a kindergarten teacher, Kamala Harris, who's actually gotten worse in her time in exile. She's out there helping Xavier Pachera. Um. I'm pretty sure I said his name wrong, but it doesn't matter. They were to be governor, and then Newsom's out there too.

If she won, if she was serious about a political career and actually wanted to achieve things and be great, she would have run for governor. It would have been a cakewalk for her. Everyone would have rallied around her, and she would actually done the job. If she went out and replaced Gavin Newsom, who's totally ineffectual, which went and did a good job, she would be prime for twenty thirty two. She's young enough, twenty thirty six, probably unless she did an incredible job in a year and a half, and then they would be pushed for a run.

But instead, she just wants to be the queen of England. She just wants to walk around and say. Oh, you could have won, and you're the first this and first that, and you're the vice president. Too bad that Joe Biden was dragging you down. Too bad you didn't, you know, you weren't able to run more than a hundred days, and that's it.

That's why she's never going to be an effectual candidate. What Republicans should hope for is that she's the nominee, because she's the most beatable nominee in the history of man. That includes Joe Biden too. Joe Biden, he's much worse than Joe Biden. Probably can work more than 15 minutes a day.
