That would be me. I don't know if I'm ready. Lots to do between now and Friday afternoon, but I'm ready for the weekend.

Happy almost Friday to you. I'm not sure if any other radio show has ever said this in the past, but we got more posts about dogsled racing and urinals in the past 24 hours than you can possibly imagine. What a combination.

The Iditarod, dogsled racing and urinals. I told mom, I'm going to have to send you a link to an hour of our podcast from Wednesday night because you won't believe what we talked about. My husband this afternoon got me good because we're getting ready to put a small addition.

I shouldn't even say addition. We're getting ready to put a small room on the back of the house. It's going to be a laundry room mostly, a little bit of an all weather room just because there's not enough space in the hallway off the kitchen for the washer and dryer. I tell him I married him for his full size washer and dryer. I have a stackable and I hate them.

I'm grateful for them, but I can't stand them. And so we're going to put a little room on the back of the house. Again, not real big, six by six tops. And he, well maybe not six by six, eight by eight. He says to me this afternoon, so I'm going to have to get out there and remeasure for the room. Oh really? Are you applying for permits?

Is this for the drawings? Well, I'm going to need extra space for a urinal. No, no you're not.

Absolutely not negative ghost rider. There will be no urinal in our laundry room and there will definitely be no urinal in a house that has my name on the deed. Oh my gosh. Well, I'm excited. Not about the urinal conversation really, and I'm not regurgitating it either.

Though many of you had some fun ideas. Actually, my new mother-in-law sends me a text. I woke up this afternoon. Her text said FYI. She said, she didn't say Bob's uncle, but she named Bob's uncle and says he has a urinal in his house. Oh Lordy. What did I marry into? Just kidding mom. Anyway, like I said, there was plenty of chatter about urinals.

We're not going to go back down that road again. We have something just as kooky actually, as we head into these next four hours here on CBS 4tradio. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence, but the posts, the messages about Matt the musher, those made me really happy. And Matthew has seen them as a matter of fact, because he is active on our Facebook page too. So is his brother, which is so much fun. His brother, younger brother who is in Michigan, which is where the family is from, posted on our Facebook page that he was probably Matt's first sled dog.

Because that's what little brothers have to do, right? Anyway, I am so glad that you all appreciated the interview and the insight and the experience with Matt the musher. I just got dozens and dozens of your comments. And the podcast link is available. So we podcast all of our guests separately. They don't have to go through the whole hour to listen, though he was at the top of hour number two. And I know many of you actually heard him on podcast as opposed to live from Alaska, roughly 24 hours ago.

So if you want to go back and listen with a moose making headlines at the Iditarod, it was great to hear from Matt, his own gripping stories about being on the trail and encountering a moose as well as other wildlife that are much bigger than you and your dog sled, bison, caribou, and also the insight about dangers on the trail, the safety of the dogs, what's been a record winter in terms of snow, even for Alaska, and then the family affair that it's become because his daughter is now mushing too. So that link is on my Twitter A-LOL radio. Please don't listen now though. Well, listen now if you must, but I'd actually like it if you'd wait till after the show is over, if you don't mind.

It's like doing your homework in class. And then on our Facebook page as well, and you'll see all the traffic and the number of people who were commenting that it's worth your time, even as the Iditarod runs through early next week, and there is a link on our Facebook page too in order to watch Matt's Monday commentary. So he's going to be live on YouTube, something that I don't do, live on YouTube with his commentary about day, I think it's day eight of the Iditarod. So I was having to do some time zone math in the last 24 hours.

First of all, because of Matt being in Alaska, and we wanted to get him live on the air and wanted to make sure it would fit his schedule. So I know that sometimes of the year, Alaska's on a, they change their clocks, right? So they'll be, they'll be putting their clocks forward this weekend, like the rest of us. But there are some places in the country that don't change their clock. So I'm constantly having to do time zone math. But with Alaska, four hours separating the eastern time zone and Alaska time zone, and then one hour more for Hawaii parts of the year.

So Hawaii is where Bob and I are going for our honeymoon. So I had to do more time zone math on Thursday afternoon because we got our tickets for Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona. And we had to wait until three o'clock Hawaiian Standard Time, which is eight o'clock Eastern Time, this is p.m., because they release the tickets on a rolling basis. So every day they release the tickets for two months down the road, right? So we're going on May 2nd. Anybody else gonna be at Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona on May 2nd, 2024?

Bob and I will be there. We had to wait until eight o'clock. So we had our dinner made. We were ready to sit down and watch dinner, watch dinner, eat dinner, watch some TV.

And it was just after eight o'clock Eastern. So we realized, gotta drop everything, get our tickets. Here's the cool thing. They're free. It's the National Park Service, and you get them on the recreation.gov site, and they're free.

You just pay a $1 service charge. So we get to go on this really neat tour. I absolutely can't wait. I cannot go all this way to Hawaii and not see the USS Arizona and the Pearl Harbor Memorial. And that'll happen as the early part of our honeymoon, because we're actually not staying in Honolulu.

We're going onto the Big Island, but we're so excited. So yeah, I was doing Alaska math. I was doing Hawaii math. I was making sure we had the right time zones.

It was quite a day of math, but that's all right, because it's almost Friday. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on Facebook. Our YouTube channel will have a brand new video up next week. And then also here on CBS Sports Radio, you can use our phone number 855-212-4227.

That's 855-212-4CBS. If you like hoops, and if you're into the stretch run now in the NBA, man, there was a plenty to whet your appetite. Actually, an early version of March Madness NBA style. Games that went down to the wire, like the Heat and Mavericks in Dallas. The Timberwolves, who right now are vying for the top seed in the West against the Pacers, who have been one of the fun revelations of this NBA season. They're trying to get out of that play-in tournament in the East. One of the youngest and fastest teams in the NBA. They're a lot of fun to watch if you haven't seen the Pacers play yet. They go down to the wire. The Bulls and the Warriors, who are coming off a big win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, playing back-to-back against the visiting Bulls. And no Steph Curry, no Draymond Green in the last minute of the game, we'll explain.

And then a battle that some would call an NBA Finals preview. I think that's presumptive. You know what happens when you assume. Well, if you don't know, you should figure it out. You know what happens when you make predictions. They're just guesses. The Celtics were supposed to go to the NBA Finals last year as well.

That didn't happen. And so, while I do believe the defending champion Denver Nuggets are playing some of their best basketball of the year, and maybe their best basketball now as we get closer to go time in the playoffs. Remember, coming out of the All-Star break, they were two games back, maybe three games back in the West, and they were sitting in fourth place.

They have since reeled in the Wolves and the Thunder, and with seven wins in their last ten games, they're just a game out of that top spot. And I think it's big, because in Denver, the home court advantage matters. Now remember, the Nuggets had already beaten the Celtics in Boston in mid-January, in what was a really exciting game. And in this one, Celtics visiting the Mile High City with a Jalen Brown that's on fire. And actually, if you have NBA TV, they just started re-airing the game on NBA TV. Jalen Brown had, I think, 22 points in the first half alone.

But the difference in the game was this. When Nicole Jokic, who right now appears to be the favorite for MVP, when Nicole Jokic was out of the game, the Denver Nuggets were able to force the issue still. One Jokic minutes is what they're called. And if you are an opponent of the Nuggets, you best make hay, or make waves, either one, when Jokic is on the bench. Because when he's on the court, and the Nuggets are locked in, he either gets a quality shot almost every time down the court, or he's setting up his teammates with brilliant passes. And so if you don't take advantage of the time when he's on the bench getting a rest, then usually you're not going to beat Denver. And so the Celtics are able to get this magnificent performance from Jalen Brown, but were not able to take advantage of those moments when Jokic wasn't on the court.

So the Denver Nuggets had a double-figure lead in the fourth quarter, though the Celtics did surge late and forced the issue. True holiday bottle to pass, and Murray gets a steal right back. Murray has it the other way. Crossover move in the paint, alley-oop, dunk! Two hands off the glass and in on the alley-oop. That hit the backboard. I know. You take your medication.

Yes. Murray jump pass inside the arc over to Nicole Jokic. Spin move, hands it off down low, dunk! Two hands, Aaron Gordon.

Triple-double, Nicole Jokic. Denver leads at 105-94. KCP gets the inbound off over to Jamal Murray.

Four minutes left to go in the game. Murray goes to the left hand, throws it off over to Jokic. Spin move on Drew Holliday, jumpers up and in.

Spin move, baseline, bank shot, no good. Dog tome on a windmill! Aaron Gordon, the highlight of the year! Wow! Hey, that's my line.

I almost cussed right there. 109-102. That is the play-by-play team of the Denver Nuggets radio network, including Jason Kosmicke. And yeah, this was a monster jam from Aaron Gordon. It was crazy, rim rocking as Jokic missed on a ball that was up close and Aaron Gordon goes soaring through the air with the greatest of ease and jams it down.

Something you might see at a space jam. And so as you watch the bench, Jay, if you want to throw up that highlight from the Nuggets or from NBA, Twitter, on our show account after our CBS when you have a chance so people can see it. As Gordon slams it home on the offensive rebound, his own bench goes crazy. And that's always one of my favorite highlights of a game when the bench is so into it and they're up on their feet and they're reacting.

Pretty funny sometimes to see their reactions. So Aaron Gordon with a big game in support of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. That monster dunk, though, you're going to see it again. It was just a tip dunk, being in the right spot at the right time.

I think Joker, I think Joker kind of knew that I was there for the rebound. So I think he was just trying to get it on the rim. I don't know if he had the right angle to actually put it in, but just to get it on the rim was enough.

He knew that I was going to come clean it up and got good hands. You hear the guys in the background, dunk of the year. I like it.

It's after hours here on CBS Sports Radio. So yes, this is a game that the Nuggets are able to take advantage of the time with Nikola Jokic on the bench, meaning they've got depth. They've got other guys who can maintain that level of play. I'm not going to tell you they're better with Jokic on the bench because that's not true. He's not only a great scorer, but he's a facilitator and obviously a load in the paint, a strong defender as well. But when you've got the rest of the Nuggets, like Murray, like Gordon, when you've got guys who don't see a letdown, Michael Porter Jr., Contavious, Caldwell, Pope.

When these guys can pick up the slack and continue to go through the offense, the defense, it's huge. Because Jokic is not burned out. Think Lakers last season. Anytime Anthony Davis and LeBron James were, and this is playoffs, were off the court, everything sagged for the Lakers. But it's not always that way for the Nuggets.

And against a team as good as the Celtics, this was a big deal. Already on the NBA on TNT, Nicole is being asked about a possible finals preview. If you're the cooking queen in your house like I am, let me drop a kitchen hack that's been a total game changer for me. Primal Kitchen.

I'm always on the go juggling a million things like work deadlines and school pickups. So finding time to eat right is tough. Primal Kitchen makes it super easy to whip up meals that check all the right boxes like honest ingredients I trust and delicious flavor. They have everything from unsweetened ketchup to barbecue sauce, avocado oil mayo you'll want to eat by the spoonful and dressings that double as marinades.

Or you can save 20% off your entire online order with code podcast at checkout on primalkitchen.com. Yo, next round is about to start. You ready? Yeah, yeah, just shopping for a car in Carvana. For real?

Yeah, Carvana makes it super convenient to shop whenever, wherever. For real? That's a ton of car options. Yep.

And these are all within my price range. For really real? You can afford that? Yeah, with Carvana. And boom, just like that.

I'm getting it delivered in a couple days. For really, really real? You just bought a car. For real?

And you just lost my turn. Visit Carvana.com to shop for thousands of vehicles under $20,000 from the finals, my friend, but we had we had a really good energy. I think we kind of we were in the game the whole time we had the lead. Our defense I think was supposed to be the difference. The rebound was not and we score a lot. We executed our offense was really clicking today. Maybe we didn't have to make a lot of threes, but we get open looks and we were taking up an open shot so we can just be satisfied with that. Another playoff atmosphere for sure. As we talk pregame and you got to give the Celtic fans credit, you know, they they always come out strong. You know, but you know what we say, right? They can take that L on the way out, baby.

Ooh, salty Mike Malone. That means the playoffs are close. We're some greedy bastards, baby.

We're some greedy bastards. Nicola ends up with another triple double, his 20th of the season. So 32 points for him, a dozen rebounds, 11 assists.

He does the interview with the NBA on TNT. It is like we're a long way from the finals, my friend. But still, you talk about a load and a guy who's tough to handle. Jalen Brown ends up with 41 points and 14 rebounds and not enough against Nicola's effort. Jokic is just a monster down there. So, you know, we do some different coverages at him regarding him one on one and we started to have lay help and stuff like that. You know, I feel like I should have guarded Joe's gets a little bit a little more.

I wish I would have had those opportunities a little bit. I could keep him away from the basket and we could have took away some of those layups they got. But I feel like, you know, we still had every chance to win this game.

We just came up short. So the Celtics still far and away the best record in the Eastern Conference. No one's crying for the Boston Celtics.

48-14. They've got five more wins than do the Nuggets at this point and a seven and a half game cushion on the Bucks. But as I mentioned, the Nuggets are only a game out of that top seed in the West. They are coming for you, Timberwolves.

They're coming for you, Thunder. The Wolves had a crazy finish on the road at the Pacers. Wait until you hear what happened in the final seconds. And speaking of the final seconds, the Golden State Warriors battled the Bulls down to the wire and a missed layup for a rookie. That's a moment.

Welcome to the NBA. Good to have you with us. Our final show of the work week on Twitter, A Law Radio and then our Facebook page too. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio.

You are listening to is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. The voice of Alan Horton on Minnesota Timberwolves Radio. Carl Anthony Towns is out for roughly a month, is expected to be back at some point early in the Western Conference playoffs. But the Timberwolves, who are fighting, scratching, clawing, hoping to keep that top spot in the West. Well, they're gonna have to rely heavily on one Anthony Edwards and he was game. After rolling his ankle early in this one at Indiana, he returns a couple minutes in the locker room, probably re-tape, returns and takes over.

And he matches his season high with 44 points, including the last eight in a row in the fourth quarter against the Pacers as this one goes down to the wire. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS Sports Radio. The voice of Alan Horton always takes me back because he is a Syracuse classmate of mine. And I remember he was one of my personal friends. We hung out a lot during that year that I was on the hill, as we call it, at Syracuse.

And so it's always fun to hear him. While we talked about the Aaron Gordon dunk, the putback rim rocker, maybe the highlight of the night. I'll go offensively, the highlight of the night defensively. Well, that's late in this one between the Wolves and Pacers. The free throw is up.

It is no good. The rebound of the Pacers. They don't call a timeout.

Halliburton, the hit ahead. Kneesmith with it, dribbles in. Shot blocked! Oh my goodness! What a rejection by Anthony Edwards to save the game! 113-111. Wolves win!

Wolves win! Anthony Edwards! Oh my! What a block! Oh, it was pretty wild to see Edwards jump high enough to smack his head on the underside of the iron. You want to talk about rim rocking, it's rim rocking of a different sort. This is as he makes the game-saving block.

Really impressive. Versus Aaron Kneesmith, he flies through the air and then does an interview actually with a towel over his head on Bally Sports North. I hit my head I think on a rim. It's hurting real bad and I landed on my wrist but I mean you know I saw him with the lane. I knew he was going for the layup and I was just like man I'm finna go get this.

I ain't never jumped that high in my life. So good. Again Jay, if you want to throw up some of these highlights or actually it's pinned to the top of the NBA Twitter.

So check out our show account After Hours CBS. This was pretty incredible and what a great call from Allen who was right on it. So yeah, you need a lot from Edwards without Kat and he's game for the experience. We know that he's one of those guys who is an alpha male. He can drive both offense and defense.

Now how far that takes the Wolves remains to be seen in a crowded west. But the number of times I saw him flashing his muscles and flexing on him in this game probably matches the number of points that he had. Once he was able to catch his breath he was unstoppable. I found my second win late in that fourth and it was over.

Once I found my second win I knew there was nobody that could stop me. Oh okay. Yeah to see what he could do in this one. He actually took 35 shots. He was 18 of 35, hit a couple triples but filled out the stat sheet. Six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots. I thought his defense was outstanding all night.

Just an incredible block at the end there just to seal it. And then just some huge shots in the fourth. Chris Finch and the Timber Wolves are still on top of the west right now. Have a half game lead over the Thunder and then a full game lead over the defending champions. It's after hours on CBS Sports Radio.

We'll get to Golden State and Chicago coming up. We're still hoping to get a conversation with Tim Roy who is the longtime voice of the Timber Wolves. I was listening to him do the broadcast on my way in along with Tom Tolbert who's an NBA veteran. But Marco Belletti is in studio. And since Marco is old and wise when it comes to sports. Oh sorry, older and wiser. I don't take offense.

I'm an old man. And Marco remembers everything like the giant offensive line in 1982. Not to mention every single quarterback matchup of every single Super Bowl that we've ever seen. He's actually dropped that on the air before just in chronological order. Just went through all of them. He has a mind that's an encyclopedia which is the complete opposite of me.

If I could use it for good instead of stupid it would get me somewhere. Hey what are you talking about? We're entertaining the masses here. You missed our conversation about urinals last night. So sorry that you missed that. We went on for quite a while.

No you would have died. Also my husband really enjoyed when I told him about your facial expressions as Jay was attempting to give us milk as an example of a product that is known by its brand name and not its generic name. I explained to him that Marco was doing his absolute best not to lose it. Anyway you missed urinals last night.

That was super fun. I mean just for fun should we play the George Brett for Marco so he understands? This was not a subject that I ever anticipated making a centerpiece for a full hour on the show but I George Brett started it.

I blame him. I grew up in locker rooms my whole life and when I built this house I have a urinal. In fact we have five of them in this house.

What? I'm gonna exchange one and I want to get a urinal out of Royal Stadium and put it in my house. That's the only thing I want. I don't want a seat.

I just want a pea pot. On KCTV5 in Kansas City and you may have seen the headlines he actually said he went to a president or a vice president of the Yankees back when they were getting rid of the old stadium and also asked for a urinal. The one that Babe Ruth peed in because apparently there's only one and he was denied. He did not get the Babe Ruth urinal. But how great would that be to have Babe Ruth's urinal in your house?

I mean I could think of a lot of things that would be greater but whatever. I would want to know why you get denied. Like when you ask for that and somebody goes I'm sorry I can't give it to you.

Why? Do you get to destroy it? Apparently they donate them to boys and girls clubs.

Yeah that like youth centers that type of thing. That I was unaware of. Right me too. I've never learned so much about urinals in my life. I even learned some terminology. Anyway so we had this entire conversation. You should have seen our phones blow up.

Ask producer J. Phones just lit up because I wanted to hear from one person who had a urinal in his house. Apparently it's a big thing for man caves and of course the reason is because women do not want urinals in their bathrooms.

Their main floor or master bathrooms. That's a big thing in a man cave? It is. Seriously? It is. Apparently.

Man I don't make enough money. We heard from a ton of guys actually on the phones and on social media who said they have urinals in their man caves. Or in their garages.

Which is really yeah icky. I never thought of it. It never crossed my mind.

I didn't even realize. It's got to be expensive. It's got to be a lot more expensive than a toilet I would think.

I have no idea. It doesn't matter. It's all plumbing. It's all pipes. It doesn't matter. I've never researched urinals ever.

But now now my husband thinks it would be funny to put one in our new laundry room. No that's also not happening. Not happening. No no no.

He spends enough time down there. No. So we had a fun conversation about that. But here we go.

It's our final show of the work week and this may top it. So I need to know your honest assessment of a Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight. Mike Tyson by the way is a senior citizen.

Or almost I guess depending upon how you define it. He is two years shy of 60. He hasn't fought in nearly two decades. Marco in a real fight. Yes.

I mean he had that Roy Jones Jr. disaster a few years ago. Why. Why is he doing it. Yes. Money.

How much. I don't know but I mean it's on Netflix. Why. To me the more interesting thing is that Netflix is now going to get into boxing because HBO is already out Showtime is already out. So maybe Netflix is going to get into this really qualify as boxing. No this is this is a publicity stunt that people look boxing has lost a ton of its audience and a lot of it has to do with whether right or wrong or whatever. You can get through the whole corruption and all that stuff.

Break it down into very simple terms. We as a country did like boxing for a long long period of time. Once you do not have a heavyweight that is American that is somebody that everyone can really identify with. It hurts the entire sport. And boxing has not had an American heavyweight since the 90s.

It really has been that long. The Tyson. Evander Holyfield. George. Foreman as an old man.

Yes. You know and then it kind of Lennox Lewis for a little while but he was British. It really started to it. Then it was Russians right.

The quads and the clutch goes to go over to get. But there was no there's no intrigue. The last time that we had like a real heavyweight intrigue was a fight that we never saw would have been Vladimir Klitschko against Lennox Lewis but Lewis decided to retire. Now we got a little bit with Fury and Dante Wilder but it doesn't live up to the promise especially when Wilder just awful in that last fight with it.

There's just nothing there. We want to grasp onto something and instead of finding guys that could fight we go back to the guys that used to fight and we want Mike Tyson because we want to relive our youth and we want a guy that we can actually identify with. There was at one point in time if you're old enough to remember this if you're not you're going to know that's not possible. Mike Tyson was probably the most recognizable person on the planet. Not in this country. On the planet. He was the most recognizable person. Was that before or after he went to jail for rape? Much before. Way before. But he was he was still popular when he got out?

Yes. Again Tyson took the world by storm. He was the youngest heavyweight champ ever. He was I mean a guy who was knocking people out in the first round. He was doing stuff that nobody had seen before. Not only was he winning but he was winning in you know the sphinx fight if memory serves it was 88 seconds. He was vicious and he had a lisp.

It was just such an odd combination. It just it was it was wild and even the fight with Buster Douglas it took a lot of his you know the lore and the fact that he lost and he got knocked out but it was still like oh he didn't take it seriously and he was still going to roll through anybody else and then he went to jail and he came back and then you know and then it turns into the Holyfield thing and then you wind up with a different legacy and a different saga. But there was a time where Tyson I mean they talk about the baddest man on the planet it was real. Like you were afraid of Tyson.

I want to eat his children. I mean who says that that he was also really good at that. Who bite someone's ear off? He was great at setting up the fight later a little bit further into his career because not in the beginning in the beginning it was just intimidation. Then he was good at getting to the mic and getting bys. When he fought Lennox Lewis it was because of that. Sound bites like that.

He couldn't he couldn't stand with Lennox Lewis but that sound bite made us by the fight. Hand up. Me included. I wanted to watch it. So are you going to watch this fight on Netflix is the question.

This would have to be where I'm literally in front of the TV and it's free and maybe I flip by it. I cannot watch a 50 or 80 year old man that I'm afraid could get hurt. Is Jake Paul a real fighter?

No. But he's got hands and he can throw them and Tyson's 58. So as much as we could say Tyson would kill him 30 years ago.

Now I'm a little afraid of a guy that's going to 60 who could have mental incapacities. I mean the fact that this would never get licensed in real life. That's why it's an exhibition. You can't license this because you can't put guys that are I mean is this Rocky Balboa? Like you can't have guys that are 60 years old in a ring.

You just can't do it. Alright so let's put a poll up or maybe not a poll Jay whoever you want to do it. It's A a novelty but B it's rubbernecking because you're a little bit afraid of what you might see.

That's a lot of it and there's your intrigue and it's going to get buys and the unfortunate part is if you took two heavyweights that maybe not a Wilder or Fury or whatever Joshua but if you took two heavyweights that were contenders and you put them on a buy versus Jake Paul and Mike Tyson guarantee you Tyson Paul will make more money and that's the that's the scary part of where boxing is right now and that's the unfortunate issue. It's more of a sideshow or a circus. That is a circus.

Yeah unfortunately that's the bearded lady. That's what you're going to watch. It's really it's sad.

I wonder if they're going to be able to crack down on it for that fight. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 2 2 7. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. You are listening to the. Old Man Winter here. If I had it my way it would stay winter all year long.

The bar, the bar on the left wing with those standing dribble against play Thompson to go to Kobe. Kobe up a high screen for boots, both loose by coming up. Kobe runs it down in the near sideline from backcourt to forecourt. Kobe top of the key left side boots, three ball rainbow.

Got it. Tied at one fourteen, one sixteen, one fourteen Golden State. We have one twenty three left here in the fourth quarter. Left front court to Rose and Rose and against Moses Moody on a crossover jump pass. What side boots left wing white white at the foul line. White on Thompson. Turn around jumper.

Five footer. Let's go. Kobe white throws and walks it over the timeline against coming up. Dances off to the right to Rose and foul line. All right.

Double pump comes up. Shoot. He got it. Count it. Foul again on coming.

Wow. The bulls have taken the one point lead one twenty to one nineteen twenty six seconds left and who else but Devo at the strike. This is after hours with Amy Lawrence. Down the stretch, the Chicago Bulls were able to overcome multiple deficits the last couple minutes. They wiped away lead after lead by the Golden State Warriors. In most cases, a three point lead, a couple of two point leads. But the Warriors kept making big shots and then the bulls would battle back.

And in large part, Damar Rosen refused to lose. But also Draymond Green fouls out with fifty eight seconds left in the fourth quarter and Steph Curry rolls his ankle pretty badly and hobbles off the court and straight to the locker room and does not return. According to Draymond, after the game, Steph was in good spirits but is expected to have an MRI on Friday. Steve Kurz said that he really didn't have an update following the game, only that Steph was back in the locker room with his ankle in a bucket.

So that's always a concern when you're talking ankles, whether sprains or something more serious. But this late in the season, the Warriors can't afford to lose their MVP. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio.

That's Chuck Swerski on the Bulls radio network. Even with them being two men down, even though no Steph, no Draymond in the final minute, still the Golden State Warriors had an opportunity and one of the rookies had the ball in his hands. Bulls have a foul to give. Paul picks up his dribble at mid-court.

He's in trouble. Nobody gets open. Pajemski on the logo down to fourteen seconds goes left side guarded by Vucovic. Still a lot of dribbling, no passing.

Pajemski drives all the way in. He missed the layup. He missed the layup and Vucovic is fouled.

But he is wide open. There was nobody near him and he missed the layup. Not only did he throw both hands to his head in disbelief at that missed layup, but if you gave him that same opportunity another dozen times, he would have no trouble the next dozen times. It is still basketball, right?

And these are the big stages. And as DeMar DeRozan is delivering in the final minute, the rookie unable to convert on the layup. And really did hurt the Warriors that Draymond was out because he makes that defense go. Klay Thompson had some real kind words for Pajemski, who, by the way, has been great for them this season. He's been a revelation in his first year. They've been able to count on him. He's been in the starting lineup, too. And all of that is important, even as he processes missing this layup.

It happens. He just shorted it and BP is going to be a great player for a long, long time. He does so many things that don't show up in the box score, whether it's taking charges or reversing the ball or penetrating the lane. So one missed shot isn't going to alter my view of him in that situation again.

I know he'll have plenty of huge moments in his career, plenty of game winners. And we all go through it. I went through it my rookie year. I went through it my sophomore year in this league where I missed two free throws against the Nuggets to win the game. And I think I left the arena in my uniform.

So it just stings a little more when you're younger and you don't have as much experience under you. But he will be. He'll be fine. I mean, that was a great look. Pajemski no doubt is going to feel like he let the team down. But the fact that he made space and got to the rim, that was huge. And I love that Klay is kind enough and generous enough to remind people of his own fail or something that stuck with him when he was early in his career.

I'm human. Hits after hours here on CBS Sports Radio. Demar DeRozan was delicious in this one for his coach, Billy Donovan. He's an elite closer and he's an unbelievable shot maker. But the other thing that he generated tonight I thought was he generated and put their defense in rotation. So when he threw it out, they were playing against closeouts. And that's when we had some really, really good ball movement. People may forget that Demar DeRozan was part of a championship team.

Oh, no, wait. He missed the championship in Toronto, didn't he? But he was an all star with the Raptors for years before he got traded. Yeah, he got traded to the Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard, remember?

That's how it worked out. 33 points for him, eight rebounds, four assists. Also had a block in there and played 39 minutes in leading the Bulls past the Warriors. So on back to back nights, the Warriors fall short.

They beat the Bucks, but maybe look a bit out of gas against Chicago, who's won four of five. One hour down, it's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. Old Man Winter here.
