DJ Mikey D is in D's nuts. Another four day residency for you. Yeah, I'm leaving a little early today. Oh, oh, really? Tapping out.

Where are we going? I got an appointment. Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. He's got things to do.

Appointment. Good to see you, T.J. Jefferson. Candles lit. Candles lit, and basketball is back.

And I know we're in the football season, but I'm a little bit happy.

Well, guess what we're leading with today? Oh, well. Let me. Let me tell you something. Let me guess.

Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Tell us. I tell you something. I know all about Yakel Lenderborg being a University of Michigan Wolverine.

Oh, you know. Here we go. I keep it right next to my desk. See what this is right here, confetti. This is confetti, and part of the net, right?

Yeah, no, that's over. No, where the net go? The net go. That's right here. Oh, yeah, yeah, confetti in the net.

Why would you separate? You know, I have the confetti in the net. You don't keep them together. Tom Wyrot, thank you, sir. Appreciate that from the University of Michigan.

Appreciate it, even though he's, he got his, you know. You know what beat last night is the new head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, Dusty May. Thank you for these. Really appreciate it.

Now that you're both in the NBA, got it. This is what Yaxel Lenderboard brings. Even though Michigan beat UConn with half a Yaxel with a Yax because he was hurt, but what the kid brings is that dog in him and a body height weight comp. To LeBron James, look it up. Guy's big, Big Ten Player of the Year, self-made guy.

Okay, and he comes to the association with that dog within to the point where, in his first game as a professional basketball player in the NBA. His coach, his team, walks up to him shortly before the game and says, "Guess what? You're not only going to be the first starting rookie for this organization since James Wiseman in 2020. Wiseman, James, you're going to start." And you're you're going to guard Luka Doncic.

Well, that's that's what you're going to do. Thanks, coach. You're you're you're going to guard one of the top five players on the planet. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. That's your first defensive assignment.

Cool. And Yakel after the game talked about how he took in that news. You know, I'm on my phone chilling. He walks up to me, "Hey, you going, Luca?" He's going to throw me in the fight.

So, you know, I tried to act like all cool and not spooked. I was spooked, man. That's crazy. It's crazy, he says, because as we learned post game, he had respect for Luca. I love this.

By the way, I don't know if you can tell right now off the bat. You will certainly by the end of the segment. I love all of this. It's not good for Yakso.

Okay, we'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. The game happens, and stuff happens as he's on Luca, and they start yapping because Yakso is yapping. And he's talking to Luca, and they're going at it. And at one point, it looks like a double technical, except for the fact only Yaxel picks it up.

Not Luca, who basically is like, "Who are you?" I don't know how much Michigan Wolverine basketball Luca watched last year. I'm going to say about. Did he do the Mike Evans thing where he made him turn his jersey around? Let me see your name. He didn't because his back was already to him.

But you know what? He didn't do that because this is a rookie. You know what I mean? This is a rookie in the NBA, and and he's probably like, "What's going on here?" To the point where Yaxel is on the bench. And Luca is doing Luca things, and he starts yelling at the bench, like "Where are you, kid?

Come on out here!" and called him an awful word. He hits a three, and then just starts pointing at him. And to Steve Curry's credit, who put this kid on him to start the game, Curry's like, "All right, kid, get back in there. You're back. Get back in there." I thought at one point he said, "Don't call him that." Curz, Curz, like, all right, kid.

He's asking if you want some of the smoke. Go get yourself some. Cursing Adam and Slovenian, and he goes out there, and Luca drops a bank shot on him from mid court to end the half. Which, by the way, yada yada yada, was the only shot he made off of Yakxel with Yakxel as the prime defender. He was one of six on the night against Yakxel.

Overall, Luca was seven of eighteen for the night in a twenty-eight point performance, plus thirty-one, which led everybody. For a Los Angeles Lakers team with Reeves getting a twenty-three point night, Walker Kessler, everybody, much maligned on occasion around these parts when he was acquired, Chamberlain, you mean? Walker Kessler, twelve of twelve from the floor, nine rebounds, twenty-six points. How you doing? And this Laker team that Lucas said is special.

And wanted invited everybody in a full page ad here in Los Angeles to come out and root for the team.

Well, one twenty seven, one oh five. That's the largest winning in OPR for these Los Angeles Lakers since nineteen seventy two. You know, okay. That's even before the HBO show about this team. Yeah, a couple years.

All right, they're talking logo. Yes, sir.

So. Nice start for the Lakers, to say the least. And that's for the Warriors. They got beat, but they've got a dog who went up to the podium afterwards and basically said everything that anybody who's had way more than. Hold on a minute.

Let me get this right. Way more than twenty nine career minutes in the association would say about what bothers them about Luca's game. Hit it. I had a lot of respect for him, you know, just because just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much.

I just watched highlights, seeing them, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand and just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful. Like, like me getting frustrated. It's not about like, it's not about like the the foul call being called.

It's about like him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations, bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro. Come on, dog. That's just weak, you know.

So it kind of like it kind of threw me off for a little while because you know, like I said, I had so much spectrum. Gone, man. Gone. What were you two going back and forth about? I was telling him he sucks.

He can't squirm me. You talking? You can't squirm me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words, obviously.

You know that's why I got the technical and all that, but. I was letting him know because you know he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call, and he didn't. His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport, you know. He he had what he had.

I don't see it. Oh, twenty eight. He had twenty eight on us as a team. Me, I took my match up personally, trying not to get called on the fouls. Trying my best.

I I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked. Probably would have still got a foul call, but you know. I mean, interesting. Who does this guy think he is? He's Yaxelenderborg, buddy.

Yeah, no one's heard of him. Oh, okay. I have a feeling that might change. Nobody's ever heard of him.

Well, I guess you didn't watch college basketball last couple years. Certainly not last year, but but. Twenty-nine minutes in association, he is yapping.

So here's Lucas' response to all of this. Uh oh! Hold on, let's get the right soundbite here. F**ing crazy, but you know I wasn't trying to talk back. You know this season, I tried to get texts.

So it's the first time that that was not a double tap because I didn't say nothing.

So I'm working on it. But as you see, I think it worked great. Yeah, that's his response because this is a rookie in the NBA who just lost. Right, and is saying he's lost all respect for one of the greatest players on the planet, if not all time. Nuts, right?

And I'm loving it.

Now again, I'm biased. Hold on a minute. I'm holding up again. It's a piece of the a piece of the net, and they. And also the confetti from Lucas Oil Stadium last year after Michigan cut down the net in one of the greatest college basketball seasons ever, part and parcel because Yakel Lenderborg is that guy, and in the same way, in the same way that you know, once upon a time, remember that phrase about who who is the one who could hold Michael Jordan less than twenty points?

Dean Smith. Dean Smith. Right. That Dusty May was the one that could hold Yakel. Beneath twenty points, and clearly holding him down somewhat from talking this way.

I mean, this is also nothing new. But he also had one of the greatest college basketball teams and seasons to back his play up in a sport and a league, and a world in which he had a lot of experience built up.

So he could talk it and walk it. This is what he comes into the league, and Steve Kerr's got to be loving it. This is what Kerr had to say afterwards. I love the back and forth. I mean, you know, Axel's a competitor.

It's a, it's a. This was a great welcome to the NBA game for him. You know, having to guard Luca, who's as tough to guard as anybody in the world. Having to learn about all the little tricks that exist in the NBA. He probably had three fouls that you know probably wouldn't be called fouls in any other league in the world, but it's the NBA, and he's so he's got to learn this stuff, you know.

And he's it's his first game. He's an unbelievable young guy and great talent. And it was a frustrating night for him, but a lesson well learned, and he'll get better from here. Yes, yes. You went up to him before the game, and you're like, "You guard Luca," and he's like, "You got it." And then Luca and him start going at it, and Luca points at the bench, and Steve Kerr's like, "All right, Rook, go in there.

I don't care what the final score is. This team last year, on occasion, if not muster the year, had no pulse, and now, man." Let's just stay healthy here. Let's get Curry healthy. Let's get everybody back healthy, and let's see what they can do. Because you know that first result, not good.

They don't hang banners for having a rookie with that dog in him. That's for sure. But moving forward, it's going to be a lot of fun. And guess who loved it the most? This shouldn't surprise you.

Draymond Green hit it. Everybody's gonna be like, "Oh man, he shouldn't talk to Luca. You should not talk to Luca." I disagree with that. One thousand percent. You gonna talk to somebody?

You talk until you can't talk no more. And if you bust your ass, guess what? You play him again three more times, and you go back at his ass again. And then you see him the third time, and you go back at his ass again. Think in this league, everybody always be like, "Oh man, certain guys you gotta." Respect.

I ain't coming this big like that. Respect. You earn respect.

So, you know, everybody's like, "Oh man, the rookie learned his lesson. What he learned. The next time he see him, go at his ass again." It's amazing, right? Yeah, it's all well and good, but this team's going to win twenty five games and not be a factor this year.

So, like, what is it for? Oh, you might wind up with twenty two laughing emojis. I mean, honestly, I hope so. But look at the West. I don't know how they break through.

I mean, he's saying stuff that everyone kind of thinks, but he hasn't earned the right to say it yet. But now he's got to worry about Luca busting his ass every time they play each other. Great, by the way, which is going to help him get better. And it's gonna. And by the way, this helps the association.

You know, the next time they play each other in a couple weeks, October thirtieth. But Chris, you're always like, I like guys being friends and stuff. This is what you should. Oh, I. This is great.

You from a competitive standpoint. The animosity there. Yeah. Opening night, and we're gotten. We're almost coming to blows.

And then October thirtieth, home against Los Angeles, and apparently that's one of those cup games. Everyone's wondering, oh, these these these cup battles. Like, what what does it matter?

Okay, now we're on.

Now we're on and cracking, right? Yeah, totally. Let's go. Okay, you know what I mean? I freaking love it.

It's outstanding. Draymond Green saying stuff I'm agreeing with because he's backing up Jakselendborg. Are you giving human sacrifice? Wolverines and Spartans playing together, mass hysteria.

Now, if this wasn't Yaxel, would you have feel the same way? If this was another, of course not.

Okay, do you need to see?

So to clarify that, this piece of rope. You need to see any more of this? Fantastic. Look, Rich. I mean, yeah.

Well, Rich, your mic went out. Your mic is out. We can't hear you. Did you kick something? In all of Rich's excitement over Yakso, yes, I muted myself.

He muted it. Mass hysteria, right here, just to prove my point. Are you more excited about see I see confetti or and I see rope? Dude, I'm telling you, I told you in the same way on DraftKnot. I told you, Jayshawn Barm, you're gonna love him for the Cowboys.

I'm like, how the hell did Yaxel drop all the way to the Warriors? I'm telling you, you were on him all season. You kept mentioning his name to us. You kept saying his name and how good he was.

So yeah, you you definitely were. Yaxel or McCarthy? Who has you more excited? This is a great week. This is a great week.

Listen, a rookie. Coming into the league, going at Luca and talking that way to Luca, and then saying I've lost all respect for him, like anybody in the association, like Luca should care any wit about the amount of respect Yaksa Lendenborg used to have for him and doesn't have for him anymore, and the fact that he comes in on the first night and lays bare exactly. What you, Chris, sometimes, and you, TJ, sometimes, and everybody else says about Luca whining, complaining, technical this, technical that. Keep your his own coach, yes, tells him to cut it out and focus on what's important instead of the grievance world in which he usually resides. Yaksel's saying it, and he's from a different.

And when he says, "I didn't watch a lot of NBA." It's because he's probably playing video games and beating the crap out of college basketball. Axel's twenty-four. I mean, Luca's been in the league how long? And he's only three years younger. I got it.

So what? Also, there is love. It there is a long history of what happens to people when they try to talk to Luca. You end up dead. Let's see what happens.

Ask everyone on Phoenix. What happens? But Rich, I am telling you this, and then we got to we got to get to Cody Rhodes.

Sorry, I'm telling you this. We love football here. America loves football, and the association frequently does not break through with their cup, with their anything, even Christmas Day. The league, the NFL, has taken over this sort of stuff. You know, I I wish what comes out of the Timberwolves' victory last night isn't that Lamelo Ball literally took seven steps before he shot a three last night.

Greatest play in NBA. We think it was like four, whatever. It was a lot, but this is a godsend. Let's go. Let's go!

And we were just, you were just telling a story.

So the the clip that we just saw. And the music—that's an unreleased Tupac song. Yeah, it was supposed to be a Mike Tyson. No, it was a Mike. Oh, it was.

He walked out one time, and then they repurposed the song.

Now they worked with the estate to get it for the movie. Actually, I think Fifty Cent had a lot to do with that, being that he plays Balrog in the movie. He's got some of his own music in there as well, which hits at the the most app time. Yeah, but that's that soundtrack is something else. The movies—the movie's great.

Movies fun. If you ever did, you ever play Street Fighter? Of course. Yeah. You know, I wasn't very good at it.

I was more of a Mike Tyson punch out guy. Oh, it's a classic. Could you beat? Could you beat Mike Tyson punch out? I definitely took care of Glass Joe.

Yeah. the The first couple of one, they give you a sense of confidence in there, and then and then it got appreciably harder. Yeah. There's a whole thing about those those games back in the day about patterns. Of course.

Yeah. Yeah. I'm not. I think at that point, I don't remember why. I was any good.

Like I used to play Street Fighter Two Turbo, and then on set there was a cabinet, and everyone would play. Yeah, and it was it's scary because like what happened to my brain? Why am I not? Am I not any good at this?

Well, that's for a different show and a different day. But so, what if we went back in time and told that kid you're going to be in Street Fighter the movie? Oh, I'm I'm I'm still riding that. In terms of the wave of, because it got asked a lot throughout the press and the at the premiere, how does it feel? It's still such a such a shocker.

I played the game, I played the character, I went and saw the original Van Damme movie with my dad, got trading cards, thought, I to to be Guile is just a wild. Lucky, pinch me, be careful what you wish for, type moment, and for people to be enjoying the movie, yeah, that oh, because a lot of pressure, right? Of course, I mean you know because people want to. You know, remember nostalgia right now. Certainly, from the '90s is massive.

You're hell of a drug. It is. It is big time. And so to go back to '80s, '90s, and get a whole different demographic interested at a young age, and obviously you doing what you do, and your day job, night job, however you wish to refer to it, or bringing a certain demographic in with you being such a recognizable face, although the hairstyle. It's quite something.

How how long do we sit in a hair and makeup chair for that one? They got it down to about an hour. Damn, covering up the neck tattoo, I think might have even taken a hair longer to get it completely. But they got it down. And the fun thing they did, yeah, they siloed me away in the makeup trailer so that the rest of the cast, a lot of wigs on this production, yes, sir.

A lot of the the rest of the cast hadn't fully seen Gile yet, and that first scene where I'm walking down the hallway, it's Noah Centineo who plays Ken and Andrew Schultz who's playing. Yeah, I saw him in the in the trailer right there. That that's one of the first moments the full production saw it, and because we had waited, it was a nice. It was very real. Guile had fully arrived, and that that hair I got so used to it.

I got so I wanted on days I was shooting, on days I wasn't shooting, I wanted to be in it. I wanted to be sitting there. I wanted to be learning as much as I could because this was a really. The cast here—you have Fifty Cent, you have Jason Momoa, you have Kalina. Like you have all these incredible people from different worlds.

I don't know if it's always going to be like this on different movie sets, but the fact that we were just there for each other the whole time—a real lightning in a bottle—felt like we were part of a sports team. Yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah. How much were you able to keep your your other job aside? And by that, I have a couple questions here.

Yeah. Oh, okay. Did you go up to Jason Momoa and say, "How about? You jump in the ring here for WWE. Wouldn't that be something?

It would be amazing. And he's he's got the he's got all the tools for it already. I should say so. Yeah, he's got all the tools for it. I I was so lucky.

I won the title from John Cena at MetLife for SummerSlam, and then went and filmed without doing the the usual wrestling. Put him out. Stretch him out. He's gone, and then big return. It was just.

I think the world is all aware of what we're doing now in terms of. Oh, he's going to film Street Fighter. He doesn't need to do all that. And modern WWE with its executive core and its, you know, Nick Khan and Triple H allowing it to go that way made it so. You said day job didn't have very easy.

Made it very easy. Other guys filled in while I was gone. I was able to come back and. Get right back into it.

Well, I'm just saying though that you're you're you're still a representative of this highly popular WWE. Yeah, that's why I'm asking. On the set, did you go up to Samoa and try and bring him to your to your world? You know what I mean, like because you've got to keep it going, right? I think I tried to slowly with everybody in the production explain.

How we're very open, you know. We're very as far as we we love to have guests. We love to try a celebrity moment. We love to promote the things that our boys and girls are in.

So throughout the course of the deal, it was fun to explain to a whole different bubble. Whereas I'm in the wrestling bubble, what I do, and it's an open. That's an open invite. That's an open invite. There's because there's some wrestlers in the cast that may not know they're wrestlers.

You know, like Olivier, the Dutch giant who plays Zangief, is seven foot. Who knows? I think he's the biggest actor. That's a no brainer. Yes, get him out.

You know, you don't have to do anything. Yeah, yeah, right. People run into you. Yeah, you know, maybe one guy slams you. Maybe it's me.

Right, no, there's a lot of there. There's a lot of connections, so I do hope they they make their way over and see what I do as the day job, because there was great synergy with WWE and Street Fighter. And are you able to watch others do some sort of, I guess, in a way, combat maneuvering and stay out of it instead of saying, "I I think there's a better way to do it," or did you do that sort of stuff? You know, I think one of the things that the guys. Stunt coordinator on the movie.

His name's John Valera. Yes, I'm so glad he didn't look at me and go, "Oh, he's a wrestler. He's got it." I'm glad he looked at me and said, "Oh, he's a wrestler. Maybe he knows a different way." Ah, because of how we did this combat, and I just put some behind the scenes stuff out the other day. I needed all the help I could.

No kidding. Yeah, I. I'm used to punching a guy on the forehead, getting a little bit a little bit of contact, maybe not too much. In this world, a lot of across the frame, a lot of whimsy. You know, I don't know.

So I'm I'm glad they they were there to teach me. And Roman Reigns, who's also in the movie, yeah, he was heavily stunt involved in terms of his role as Akuma.

So they they knew to not make the mistake of thinking the wrestlers know what they're doing.

Okay, yeah. Every day I trained. Did you connect with somebody by accident?

Well, so I don't know if I've told you this story. The first time I ever did anything in TV film, I did an episode of Arrow. Yes, and I punched the guy right in the head. Stephen Amell. Yes.

So yeah.

So I go on Stephen Amell out. No, it wasn't Stephen. It was a poor cop that I had one scene. All I was supposed to do was. Walk down the alley, punch the cop in the face, go up the stairs, open the door, and I think the line was "Let's go." Something very simple.

It was my first day. I hadn't gone and seen what second team was doing. I hadn't. I didn't know any of this. I just showed up, and the director was real quick.

He said, "All right, you're going to go down. You'll punch him across the face. You go up those steps, look back at the camera, say 'Let's go,' close the door. Done. Ready." So in my mind.

I don't know what he means. Does he mean you know what he meant was just one of these cameras behind you? He'll fall, but I did what I call as a macho man punch. I thought that'll be the safest thing to do. Just grab you on the back of the head and and pull back because Mosh was real big at measuring it.

And then if you hit somebody here, yes, that's the hardest spot. You know, you're going to be okay. You don't want to hit him here, here, here, here, but here, yes, sir.

So I just leveled this this gentleman in the forehead, and and the worst is he like his knees buckled and he fell down. And I didn't hit him that hard, but I was so embarrassed that I kept going. Like these. Clearly, a shut down. Like this isn't a take.

But I kept going up the stairs and looked back and let's go. And then that gentleman wasn't there. The rest of the shoot. Was he in the blue tent?

So what happened? I don't know. But yeah, they they put him in the tent. But I was I learned very different, very different from their world. Which all the respect in the world to the guys who were doing stunts because they're doing some crazy stuff.

Yeah. Right, one and done on Arrow, huh? Yeah, and I have looked up your your filmography. The sweet of sweet life of Zach and Cody, a Disney show back in two thousand six. I think that's that's fake.

That's fake. You weren't in that. No, I I don't. No, I wasn't in that. That's a joke.

Wrestling fans make between pro wrestler Zach Ryder and I, where we are on a T-shirt, basically with the same font. And art, yeah. All right, so let's tell IMDb to get that off your or you want it still on there? Oh, let it rock it. Yeah, let it rock.

Somebody might think like, "Hey, okay, he was on that." And then one that I I literally audibly in the theater said, "That's Cody Rhodes from Naked Gun." Oh, you're the bartender. I was in Naked Gun. You and Liam Neeson in a in a comedy scene together, man. The Jedi. Um, the best is all that Liam Neeson has done.

This is incredible career he's had.

Some of the greater stories, some deeply dramatic roles. When I told Brandy that they were offering me to just do this cameo in Naked Gun, it was filming in Atlanta. She said, "Well, he's a Jedi." And I, what a moment for me as a huge Star Wars family. Yeah, yeah, it's Qui Gon Jinn. Not thinking about Schindler's List.

Not thinking, like, taking all this incredible stuff that Liam Neeson's done, and he he couldn't have been a sweeter, nicer. Oh my, because we just he just riffed back and forth with the bartender, and we try new things. And you're you're in one of those moments where you don't want to have like full blooded imposter syndrome. I'm I'm here to do this, and I'm learning and But so much fun, and when we were in Australia filming for Street Fighter, the cast went and saw Naked Gun, and I didn't tell them. I didn't tell them I was in there, and I waited for the right moment.

Yeah, how cool it was, and and in my mind, I thought, I hope they kept the whole bit, the whole scene, because it was a lot of fun. And right as we were approaching it, I leaned over and I told Noah, who plays Ken, I said, "Hey." Check this bartender out, and it was a whole, a real rewarding moment for me. I was pumped about that. That's so cool. Yeah, that was that was a really fun day.

Really fun day. Was there a line that you said with Liam that didn't make the the movie? I think the entire thing made it. No kidding. He was banging my head.

They had a little pad there. Yeah. He just all and he was doing it so many times. I'm thinking they'll find their. They're cut here.

Where no, they kept all of them.

So yeah, that was. Did he get you in the forehead? No, he was. He was a pro's pro. But you know when I say pro's pro, he could be a wrestler.

He had enough of a grip. Liam Neeson. Yeah, he had enough of a grip. He could handle himself in the ring for sure. What would his name be, TJ?

What would Liam Neeson's wrestling name be?

Well, he's big and he's foreign, so they probably give him like a foreign bad guy, right? Cody, like you're saying, the old foreign menace, something like classic wrestling. Yeah. Liam, you know the you gotta you can't go Liam Neeson. I think he'd just be Liam.

Liam Neeson sounds like a wrestler. It does. You got to get the spelling right though, too, because he's got. Oh man, that's maybe he'd be the list taker. Yeah, you know what I mean.

It's not bad. No, Liam. By the way, do you see who's off to the side over here dressed? Over here, I didn't want to point it out because O'Shea Jackson Jr. is here.

Look at your look at the garb. This is respect. That's respect over there. And I walked out of your green room, and he just walked in in that full. He wore it here.

I love that. That's a thing. And I was telling him, I wish we made these for kids because kids are the ones who buy the. Replica robe the most, but it clearly doesn't fit them.

So you'll see them just dragging around these arenas, just draped in this giant thing. But it looks great on O'Shea. Thank you. It fits him. He looks great.

Yeah. Well, his because his Lakers won last night. You're here. He's psyched. No contest.

Wrestling's killing it for us. Our pod.

So yeah, their pod. It all started right here on your show. You gave them. No contest wrestling, right?

Well, right here, and then you were here, you know, years ago too. And so, when I heard you're in town and you're you're talking about this movie, whatever, I'm like, one thousand percent. Let's do this thing. Thank you, by the way. You know, come on, TJ.

I'll give you the floor here. What do what do you got? I know you want to ask him something to do, nothing to do with Street Fighter. I mean, what do you got over there? Look, we we cover all the wrestling stuff, but Cody, now that you are in this, you know the Hollywood world, man.

Wow, looking to do more movie roles. Have you caught in the bug, as as they say? It do I have the bug? You have the bug, right? Hard have the bug, yeah.

Hard, hard have the bug, but also, I think it's probably important to say wrestling is my whole life. Sure, that you said day job. It's it is the day job, right? I don't think it would ever not be.

Well, I mean, how many how many how many actors, wrestlers are actors, but still doing the day job? Yeah, I mean, we I've lost track, right? I mean, it's is that is that the the plan here? Is that part of the trajectory you'd like to be on here? It's definitely it's my plan.

Hopefully, it goes according to plan. You know, I don't. It's one of those things where if I don't flex that muscle, if I don't get reps at it, I am not going to get any good at this whole thing. And action, and that's a ton of fun and comedy. That's an easy place for me to plug into.

But because of Dave Batista, John Cena, of course, the Rock, they've made it so that. We can walk into a lot of these rooms, and they know we have something to offer.

So I'd like to keep doing that. It's definitely going to work in a sense of with wrestling. It's not like it used to be where hey, you can only pick one or the other. New York Times just did this great article on Roman and I about well, will this produce more wrestling in the TV film space? And I I think they're right to say it will.

I hope.

Well, I mean, well, knowing just I'll just say it out loud. Knowing WWE, I mean, they create their own studio, yeah, their own label, and they make the movies. Which they they they've got a bunch of t here is short reels, right? T here is t here is a bunch of projects. They might be crawling before they start running.

Yeah, that that they always they're always up to something. And if you've been to the HQ in Connecticut, WWE from a production standpoint, whoo. Yeah, they're like second to none in terms of. There's been some environments where I thought, oh, I WWE is doing this way better. Just yeah, they they know what they're doing there.

Yeah, yeah, and it's it's great to see you in all these movies, man. And so okay, so to recap, we're crossing, we're letting Sweet Life of Zach and Cody stay on. Yeah, let it stay.

Well, that's filmography. It's the the man who shall live balance in the sense of when the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

Okay, no one's gonna look into that episode. Um and. It does list you as saying seven episodes of Arrow. Yeah, I was on there a bunch.

Okay, so despite what happened to the poor cop, they brought me back. They brought you back. Yeah, they did. All right, so you you're you're you learned. And you grew.

I learned and grew, and I didn't hit him that hard.

Okay, everyone out there. By the way, fake cop is the one he connected with. Not a real one. Let's be sure about that. Yes, you with Liam Neeson in Naked Gun.

Yeah, I literally audibly go, "That's Cody Rhodes." Nice, said that. I pegged you. Thank you. That was great. Thank you.

That that was a fun moment. Of course, and then Street Fighter, right now released in theaters last Friday. It's in theaters near you. Be part of those who have already thrown thirty-five million dollars at the box office to see Street Fighter, starring in part you, Cody Rhodes. It is great to see you, man.

Thank you for having. Thanks for this. Is in any time situation any any time.

Well, you know, I know your history with Seth and everything like that. Oh, would you like to sit in this chair, by the way? You asked me one time that before, and I think would you do this? I would do it, but I think Seth would feel a way about it. Oh.

Interesting. He's he was the first. I I understand that.

So, are you saying that Seth would have a problem? Like, would I create an issue? I don't know if he'd have a problem. Am I creating beef? I you could be, but also Seth wrestlers always tell each other how much they want each other to do great.

But then in those moments, they don't necessarily support. Seth showed up at the Street Fighter premiere. He's a real one. He is a real. He's a he's a real one.

And trust me, I kept track of who showed up, who didn't, who posted. You know, show up. Who didn't post? I've I've got I've got quite a list. You do?

Oh yeah, it's a little pettiness.

Well, oh my deep petty, yeah. Because I mean, you can't be petty Guerrero because that's that's O'Shea. That's a great, yeah. There's there's three wrestlers in this movie, and you can't throw up. Hey, go see this thing, guys.

What are we doing? We're trying to move the ball forward. This isn't just for you. That's for everybody. It's for everybody.

And yeah, does it is it a little better for me? Sure.

Well, Cody. By the way, the the Miz is sat in this chair too. Oh, he's the best.

Okay, so. I mean, it's not like you're see, you know, infringing on Seth's territory, Cody. It's like Rick said, you can never be first, but you can always be next. Wow! Wow, that definitely frames it up for me in a way.

I am very open to this idea.

Okay, very open to it. Very open. Yeah, baby steps. Baby steps.

Okay, Street Fighter is the next step you should take to go see it this very weekend. Cody Rhodes, everybody. Thanks at Cody Rhodes and at American Nightmare Cody on Instagram, of course. The millions to follow. Hiring for a small business is hard.

Rich was so shocked when you came walking. I didn't know you were coming. You said you were, and then I saw the outfit, and I'm like, "We don't have a second chair, do we?" No, like, yeah, those things just start flying through my head. I was just like, "He just came to be a fan today." Awesome. What'd you make of the Lakers game one performance of the season?

All hail Luke of the Night King. As you see, that blizzard. That I was telling you about Kessler, Reeves, and Luca doing amazing work. You mean a flurry of points and rebounds? That's what you mean by blizzard.

Yes, exactly. Shout out to Kessler, aka Milk Chamberlain. We're doing doing great things. Doing great things. Is that what we're going with?

We're going with Milk Chamberlain. Milk Chamberlain. I'm going to be honest with you. Earlier in the show, my my text went off a little because I forgot to vibrate it. It was Smitch, and he wrote Milk Chamberlain.

Yeah, Milk Chamberlain. Milk Chamberlain. Not gonna lie.

Okay, I love it. I like it. In its whole, in its whole milk chamber. Yeah, it's not two percent. No, it's either milk Chamberlain or Cream Abdul Jabbar.

Cream, or nothing. He's a great player, right? Robbie Avila, right? That's it, right there. Cream.

I don't know him. They all, oh, that's a dogfight. That was great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know.

And then, and then my Wolverine going at Luca. I love it. Yeah, how that goes. He went one. He went one for six when Yax was the primary defender.

One for six. That's what it went, and that one was the. It was a bank. It was on him. It was a bank shot.

That was on him. That was on him. "Quote unquote" on him. All right, here we go. Happy for the.

I love it. Happy. Isn't that fun? Like the next time the Lakers play the Warriors, it's on. Let me tell you, every time the Lakers play the Warriors, it's.

I got it.

It's just I don't know where they try to get this rivalry. Like, what do you have? What? What they have? Five or six championships?

Gross. We're like, who cares?

Well, Warriors have definitely had more championships. Recent recent as of this recent century, century. But like, do you haven't even had more than what I've seen? I'm born in '91, so you count the old ones in, right?

So when I bring up the Cowboys winning championships, ah, it doesn't matter. No, listen, everybody knows that the Cowboys used to be great, but used as a rooster that don't crow no more. Can't stand with you, Jackson. You've shown up, Cody Rhodes. That's how much you love him.
