I get so many headaches every month. It could be chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more.
Botox, autobotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition.
Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

We're just so locked in right now. Seven weeks in, back here on the Rich Eisen show, our friend from Fox Sports as well as his own podcast, The Stinkin' Truth, ladies and gentlemen, Mark Schlerer, three-time Super Bowl champ. Good to see you, Mark. How are you, man? I'm doing great.
How are you, Rich? I'm doing well. All right, let's jump in. The best team in the National Football League. I just gave out my power rankings.
Wow. Who's number one for you through seven weeks. I understand it ain't easy, but that's why I come in with a high and tight fastball right off the top. Yeah, you know, I mean, it's still like San Francisco, even though they dropped the game to Atlanta. Obviously, no receivers in that game.
They're going to get all those guys back. Bosa's coming back. They just traded for DeForest Buckner. San Francisco's still really good. I love what Seattle just did, getting Quentin Nelson out there.
That dude is still a phenomenal player so um but who's the who's the best overall team i'd probably go san francisco but i think it's really close i think seattle's closing ground and i think the rams what they did to the raiders i think they're closing ground because they kind of got back to what they do as a football team yeah which is run it and obviously play action off of it and they got almost 200 yards combined from from uh both kyron williams and blake quorum uh the afc side of things though who's your best team in the afc then mark you know i still think i still think it's kansas city but of course you know you look at that maybe it's maybe you'd have to push toward buffalo jacksonville i think is really solid um i think after what happened last weekend in seattle to to the kansas city chiefs i probably go buffalo but everybody like everybody rich as you know is flawed right any given weekend and they're all flawed i think the ability of the quarterback josh allen just to make off-schedule plays big time just still beat you from the pocket their run game but i still have concerns about their defense in general i'd probably have to point to buffalo as being the best team in the afc but everybody seems to have flaws yeah and the ravens are coming in it looks like lamar jackson's going to be back we'll see what happens there um and the AFC North, everybody's above 500. You have to put your marker on one team in the AFC North through seven weeks. Which one would it be? That is such a tough question. I don't know if you've noticed.
I've come out of the box. Every question is like, let's have some fun, can we? Can we do something? Listen, man, I love Cleveland's defense, but I still don't trust them on the offensive side of the ball. They're very young there, and obviously Deshaun Watson kind of has this ebb and flow to his game where he's really good for, you know, a couple of drives and he's really bad for a couple of drives.
The one team that really intrigues me is the Cincinnati Bengals simply because of Joe Burrow. That guy is an absolute killer. The dude is, I think, the best, just the best pure quarterback in the National Football League. He just gives you a chance to win every weekend. What he does from the pocket, just the toughness, the accuracy.
He's got weapons on the outside. He intrigues me. And, you know, Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers, they're a tough out with that defense. Again, every team in that division is just neck and neck right now.
Well, and while we're just lingering for another minute in the AFC North, Jesse Minter talking about the second half collapses that we've seen here and how he needs to see, quote unquote, a little bit more from veteran players during tough stretches. Sideline is obviously as well as on the field. I know you're not in the building. We're not in the building and we're just talking about it from afar. But from your years of experience, you hear a coach say that into a microphone.
The question I have is why and what do you think he means by this? What do you think is happening that he wants to hear?
Well, I mean, he's Jesse Minter came over. He was with the Chargers. He's a defensive coach. That's where he hangs his hat. And when you're up 13-0 going into the second half and Cincinnati scores on every possession, that is bad football.
And that's on you and that's on your defense. And so you're challenging your defense. Hey, man, we're playing with a backup quarterback. Lamar's been out with the ankle for a couple of weeks. I expect you guys to play better.
I expect you to tackle well. I expect you to be on point when it comes to coverage. You can't bust the coverage. You've got to play great, great gap assignment, a defense. And I understand you're playing against what I think is the best quarterback in football.
But the bottom line is I'm expecting more out of my defense, out of my leaders. I'm expecting us to kind of lead this team. And it feels to me like, hey, we're just waiting around for Lamar to come back. when Lamar comes back, everything's going to be okay. You can't play the game that way.
You've got to go out there and take care of your business and do your job. And I think that's what he's talking about when he points to the defense and points to his football team and says, I need more from my veteran leadership. Mark Schlereth here on the Rich Eisen Show. What have you seen out of your Broncos, brother? You know, you got no surprise here.
Sean Payton back calling plays now for three weeks. but what do you think we're seeing and what we will see from here on out Mark I think you finally saw Bo Nix he did something that he hadn't done all year Rich and that was take responsibility for how poorly he was playing he kept saying hey man I don't know why we're not making big plays in the passing game I don't know why the narrative is out there that we are not playing well I don't because you haven't played well. That's why the narrative's out there. There's no secret, man. You've got to play a lot better.
And he came out last Wednesday in his press conference here in Denver, Colorado, and said, hey, man, I've got to play better. He took ownership of the way he played. And this came against Arizona. I understand it was Arizona. But I better credit for Rich.
The big fans for Bo Nick General was he came out of this thing and he climbed the pocket and he delivered some strikes in the passing game, some things that he hadn't done. And I'll take him in the second drive of the game. He took a sack where he climbed the pocket in a sack. And I was like, in my notepad, I was like, hey, man, hallelujah. God, he finally took a sack, right?
God, he finally pushed up in the pocket. Because for me, it's something that has been missing. and he did that and then later on in that second half man he took that 62 yarder and I mean just took off up the middle of the pocket and scored a touchdown and that was a big time kind of play for this offense something that inspired the team something we haven't seen from Bo making an inspirational kind of play all season long. How can though him just merely changing his um mirror look and finger point from this to to this you know and how how can that basically as you said taking responsibility verbally and recognizing either a what time it is or be the looking in the mirror and and realizing what the real deal is here how does that change what happens on the field though mark how does that happen I think part of that is you take responsibility. One thing about playing the quarterback position, I always say this, you've got to deflect 100% of the praise when you get it because you're always going to get it.
You're the quarterback. And you've got to accept 100% of the responsibility. And the players around you just totally respect that. And then when you start looking at yourself critically and say man I got to be so much better than I have been then you can start looking at every little thing that you haven done well and say man I take responsibility for the fact that I haven climbed the pocket I haven't beaten anybody in the passing game from the pocket. I haven't ran.
I mean, he had averaged almost like a little over a yard a carry. I mean, this is a guy who his rookie year had over 400 yards rushing. and he has been like he gets around somebody and he drops and i think part of the process of healing and part of the process of coming back and playing when you've been injured is getting over the fear of re-injuring that that you know for him it was an ankle that he had two surgeries on this off season and you have got to get to the point where when you come back from injuries and i've always giving this advice to guys because I played under duress and with a lot of injuries. You've got to be able to, in your own mind, if you want to play well again, you've got to be in your own mind, get rid of the kind of concept of I'm waiting until I get to 100%. And you have to say to yourself, man, I've been clear to play.
I may be 80% of what I used to be, but this is my new 100%. And I'm good enough to go out here and whip your ass and play great. even though I'm not what I once was. And until you accept that, and until you play that way, you can always just wait around, wait around, wait around. I'm not quite there.
I'm not quite there. I'm not quite there. I've told several guys, I had a guy in Major League Baseball that told me in spring training, I was down there with my son with the Rockies and he told me, hey man, listen, I'm just not quite there. He's coming off an ACL. I'm not quite there.
I'm just not quite there. and I said, hey, permission to speak candidly with you. And he said, yeah, absolutely. I go, you'll not quite air yourself right out of the league. Like if you've been cleared to play, you're as good, you got to look at it like I'm as good as I'll ever be.
I'm going to go out there and I'm going to play.
So like that's the story. I see him like five, six years later. He's still playing Major League Baseball in the halls of ESPN because he was doing some analyst work for us in playoff baseball, Rich. And he walked up to me and goes, the best advice I've ever gotten, you saved my career. And those are the things you have to be able to do when you're playing hurt.
You've got to understand that that's part of the game. And I'm good enough to still go out here and play great. And I got to get read or get over the hump of, man, I don't quite feel right. And I'm worried about this thing not holding up. you just got to say hey screw it i'm gonna go out here and play and whatever happens is gonna happen and his name was larry walker no his name was todd hilton nope his name was andres galarraga should i keep going no just name was dante bichette okay yeah all right i'll stop um so um mark schlereth the um a few minutes left here with the three-time Super Bowl champ.
You're the perfect guy to ask. Quentin Nelson, I was singing the praises. You were mentioning it before. What impact will he have on this team and how quickly should Seahawks fans expect it? Mark?
Yeah, I think he's going to have a huge impact, Rich. And obviously, you know, Sam Darnold's got to clean up the turnovers. That's got to be something that's got to be better. They've got to run the ball better. Quentin Nelson still is an elite level guard, especially when you're talking about zone blocking, coming off the ball and just creating movement.
He's great. He's a great puller. He still tries to just destroy people in that facet of the game.
So he's still like there. He is still a top notch, top level, all pro player. And I understand that he's 30 and, you know, and he's getting to the point where he's going to start probably declining a little bit. But his, you know, his declining is still better than 90 percent of the guys who play this game.
So he is an absolute home run for the Seattle Seahawks in acquiring him.
Now, the only question mark I have is the one issue for their offensive line to me has been their right guard position. He's always played left guard. Will he go in and play right guard? Will he be comfortable doing that? Will he want to come in and play left guard and you move Gray Zabel over to right guard?
There's going to be a transition there. That's going to take a little bit of time. But it's a huge move from John Schneider and the Seattle Seahawks. I think it's a great move for them. And it solidifies the one issue on offense that I think they've really had, you know, again, other than some of the turnovers from Sam Darnold as he's come back from that injury.
But that's been a big question mark for me, that right guard position, and they just sold it. Yeah, man, I'm looking at the depth chart. I don't know if this means anything or not on ESPN.com here. Gray Zabel is the right guard.
Okay, so they're going to move him and move. And that's what I would suspect that they would do. They put Quentin Nelson, you know, the six-time old pro, back in his original position and move the young kid over. And he's a great – Gray Zabel's a great player.
So they're going to ask him to make that transition, which makes sense to me. But that solidifies that inside three with Gray Zabel with their center is also a North Dakota kid. And then with the Quentin Nelson, that's a big time. That's a big time inside three players, their whole offensive line. And obviously Cross had the ankle injury.
He's going to be out for a few weeks anyhow. But that really solidifies that group up front. And his name was Vinny Castilla. No. No.
It was a backup player, Rich, that went on to...
Okay, I don't know. Anybody else want to take a stab? I'll give you 10 guesses. You won't get it. Ellis Burks wasn't a backup.
No, Ellis was a good player. It wasn't Ellis. Hey, man, when the Rockies were doing this, this is when, you know, this one's for John. You were killing it. Shanahan was killing it.
The Rockies were killing it. What a time. it was a great it was a great time when the rockies were oh yeah you know the the the blake street bombers and hitting homers and winning games or losing games getting humidors for the baseballs yeah man i remember all that i was covering it i covered it was the first all-star game i covered was in denver in 97 i was i was at that i was at that all-star game it was awesome i bet you were that was something else what do you say chris get in there pedro astacio Pedro Estacio. No, no. It wasn't Pedro Estacio.
Hold on. I'm kidding. People are now guessing. Armando Reyeso. What do you got, Hoskins?
What is it? Neffy Perez? Ryan Spillbores. No. Ryan Spilley.
No, no. Spilley. Oh, pardon me. I didn't know you were that tight. All right, Mark.
Thanks for the time, bud. Good to check. My pleasure. You guys be well. Ladies and gentlemen, the Stink of Truth.

Auto Parts. The Rich Eisen Show podcast. Back here on the simulcast, saw in the commercial break, Ernie Johnson has announced that he is going to step down as host of Inside the NBA at the end of this season. Oh, really? Or he is going to stop doing the show, however he wants to call it.
Which is, for all of us who are massive fans of Ernie and this show, a heartbreaker. But Ernie is a family man, an incredible dude. And he wants to do more things, other things, spend time doing other things. It will be our loss, but his gain and anybody else who's around him, their gain. because what he does as a host is something that only he can do because of who he is.
The mark of a good host, as far as I'm concerned, is somebody who makes everyone around him or her better and is somebody you want to hang with when you want to tune in to see a show the host will on occasion move things in a certain direction make you laugh make you think but otherwise step back and let everybody else around him or her do their thing and entertain you and do it over and over and over again a fresh coat of paint every day that's what i tell you guys here on this show put a fresh go to paint on every single day what we did last show and the show before great but we've got to do it again and again and again and ernie has done that for decades yes he is decades and the personalities that he has meshed together expertly are some of the all-time greats and non-wallflowers biggest personalities out there No doubt. And then again, the show working as well as it does when one of Shaq, Kenny, or Charles isn't there. And new player who comes off the court and is kicking the tires on media works just as well Ernie gets a lot of credit for that and he won take it that as well he will not take it that another thing humility he so great at it so great at it i'll never forget one of the many times i was at the sports emmys losing to him that he gave his award to Stewart's daughters. Amazing. Oh, wow.
Were you there for that one? Or were you guys there for that one? I don't know. I don't recall. When he gave the award to Stewart's daughters, Stewart had just passed.
He was nominated. Ernie won it, as he's done many, many times. when he did that it's just a perfect encapsulation of his humility and empathy and humanity i know i'm gushing here but it's he's one of the all-time greats of one of the all-time great studio shows ever that is uh you can't even say it's a platinum standard it's a much more valuable metal it's a more precious metal than what inside the nba has done um so i i say to ernie and i'll you know fire him in a text as well you know congratulations um it's going to be a remarkable final few months there will be oh my god outpourings of well wishes starting here and again he united his own health scare so this is not a health thing right i'm not no okay great and so um he's not going anywhere he's just stepping away from an iconic role and um something else man yeah good luck to the person who's got to fill his shoes i mean i hear you no doubt about i don't know what's going to happen with the show didn't charles say he's not going to do it anymore? He kind of seems like, yeah. I hope they continue doing it.
If Ernie's gone, Chuck might be gone. Yeah. That's what he's always said. But you know, and we'll reach out to Ernie and have him on. Is he basically like, as soon as the Knicks won it, I'm in my work's done here.
What else do I got to stick with? What else could you accomplish? My work's done here. I know he doesn't have any rooting interest. Any rooting interest at all in that regard.
Once he saw that, he was right.
Next one, we're good. I'm good. You know? For sure.
So now all I need is Costas and Tirico to retire, and I got a shot. Sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's coming, bro. We got a chance.
Eventually, you'll get it. You and SVP. Oh, come on. Dude, there's so many talented people, you know, certainly in our own shop. I think Reese and Laura Rutledge were both nominated last year, right?
but the I'm sorry I made this about me after I said a mark of a good host is humility my bad well Prime does call you his humble host my bad well he called Nance that first oh really yes that's the first time I met Dion was when he came with Nance and the rest of the CBS NFL Today crew before Nance took to the booth that's right it was our first Super Bowl we covered the Patriots panther super bowl was a cbs super bowl and they came all together and uh you could see there was some tension oh yeah yeah as boomer left the set and i don't mean chris berman the other one the other anyway long story short one is ernie johnson um can't wait to watch as many of these shows as possible and soak it all in. 844-204-RICH. Number to dial on the program. On the WeatherTech fan line, everybody. Terzo and I all rise.
What's up, Terzo? How are you? Doing well, fellas. Hey, Rich, real quick, I want to wish a happy birthday to my nephew, Asher. He's turning the big 1-3 today.
Great young man. He should be in school, but hopefully he'll hear it later whenever he watches you guys back. Shout out to Asher. Happy birthday. You bet.
Tell Asher Sure, if he was my kid, we'd have a bar mitzvah. I'm assuming that's not happening this time around. That is correct.
Okay, it's all good. Rich, I am super excited to have DeForest Buckner back. That was a huge deal for me yesterday. Got a text from my cousin right away when it happened.
So pumped that is going to be a game changer for us, especially going into the bye and coming out after this loss to Atlanta. I'm with you. I think we're going to just be even better. and even more competitive, which is great to feel. But I got to make a comment about last night's World Series game.
My buddy Dave, who passed away a couple years ago, was a huge Milwaukee fan. And so I'm rooting out of my chair for the Brewers. And at this point, man, Contreras is so good. While I was watching and he taps his helmet, I think every time that he's going to be correct. Exactly.
It's the same way I used to look at DeAndre Hopkins making a catch on the side line or in the back of the end zone. I'm like, I don't have to see the replay. Did he get his feet down? Yeah. You know what I mean?
That's the way I feel about it. He's that good at it. Exactly. And it's been such a great World Series. And I just love baseball so much this time of the year.
So let's go. Let's go, Brewers, man. I appreciate you guys. Thank you. Thank you.
Greatly appreciate it. Terzo and Iowa. I don't understand why sometimes teams don't make trades like trade deadline here. Like you heard there were tons of teams in on Quentin Nelson. Wouldn't you try to beat a three and a five for Quentin Nelson?
Again, it's not my job. I'm not a general manager. I don't manage generally in the NFL. But if you need an offensive lineman and Quentin Nelson's available midseason, don't you think like i'll deal with not having that second round pick yeah i'm looking at this or if you or or my third is going to be better than seattle's so because he's going to be better right like don't you think you see what's you know so it was pick 82 you know i mean like the in the third round right i'm i'm on the draft set every year thank goodness um and i'm sitting there sometimes late third and you're like okay so you can get sure you can get a great player and value look at the Niners day three picks they're all over their defense right I understand you get some really good players but you can get Quentin Nelson and in the case of the Niners they got day three players all over the place I think it's a fourth round pick to get the Forrest Buckner right they did and it i sit here and you even heard ian rapaport say an hour one hey that three and the five that they gave up a three in one year and a five in another year for quentin nelson that's a big haul for a mid-season trade and i'm thinking to myself why is that something that happens in the nfl i'd be like hell yeah i'm gonna go for him do you know what's crazy a lot i looked at by the way i looked this up that's not crazy because i'm a i'm a lead pipe wielding professional i look things up google alert do you know what the niners gave up in 2020 for trent williams i don't but i looked it up are you ready for this he's gonna shake our heads at a fifth a 2020 fifth round pick i don't know why i knew that and a 2021 third round pick and you're looking back on it and it's just like oh man the niners they were left empty-handed in that 2021 third round huh does anybody spend a split second of their day thinking anything close to that realm of conversation come on i gotta i gotta look up to see who is nuts so he sits out 20 by the way this story is nuts it just could you imagine this happens today this has got dan snyder written all over it 2019 he sits out for a contract dispute yep and the niners are like uh yeah we'll take him for 2025th and a third round or 2021 this dude's like on a mount rushmore and he's still going strong he's still one of the best what is he 39 now 38 so hell yeah you can get the forrest buckner for a four and a quentin nelson for a three and a five and people like oh i mean you're giving up this draft capital this is i'm more of the f them picks get the guy who you know what their body of work is and what they can do for you right now to win a championship right now to put one in a case now trent hasn't put one in a case yet because they've come awfully close as we know it's gonna have a bust they got a Get out of here. You're looking that up.
I'm looking up the 2021 third round picks that Washington had. They had two. I don't know which one they got in there.
Okay. But they're two third round picks from 2021. Benjamin St. Joost.
Okay. A defensive back. No, he's still St. Joost.
Joost.
He's still in the league.
Okay. Okay. And Dayami Brown.
Okay. But Trent Williams was done there and they were done with him and he was done with them. for good reason. Good reason. And then the league, as you know, wound up being done with Dan Snyder.
Good lord. Again, I'm not equating DeForest Buckner with Trent Williams, obviously. But DeForest Buckner could be a Hall of Famer if he goes on a nice run here. He's pretty ham. He's an excellent player, and he's going to help the Niners right now.
And all, it's like, okay.
So next year, we're sitting in D.C. I'm on the air on NFL Network, by the way, and ESPN, I believe, on day three. and the Niners aren't on the clock. And I will say, because that's what I love about hosting the draft, is I will say the Colts are on the clock now. This was their pick for the Forrest Buckner.
To try and get everyone understanding on the same page of how the draft works. And plus, what do I do around here? I don't just give you takes. You weave tapestries. I weave tapestries.
I'm a tapestry weaver. Oh, my bad.
So if you look at the third round, right, the team's picking above. They got the 82nd pick from Seattle.
So they weren't going to trade to an AFC team.
So cross off all of those. And then the NFC teams ahead of them aren't buyers. Washington at 68 overall. Arizona 70. Tampa 71.
New Orleans 73. Not buyers. I'm just saying, you know, you get Quentin Nelson for a three and a five. and who said who said no did did if the culture calling me back and saying there's a three and a five they're not gonna probably not saying i'm getting it from seattle you know what i mean they're probably not but i'm just gonna assume my three and a five could be better than the ones that you're gonna get yeah so philly i'll give you i'll give you two philly's calling their third round pick is 97 uh their second round pick they is 37 not giving up you know not giving up 37 for quentin nelson i get it but the third round draft choice of said team better than what the the seahawks are probably going to give you yeah but those teams just weren't buyers if the sea i hear you but if the seahawks were were were the seahawks if they as good as you think they going to be That as close to a free agency comp pick as you going to get It not that much better Yeah. All right.
Did I see O'Shea Jackson Jr. poke? Yeah, he walked in. Is he wearing a bowling shirt? I don't know.
We'll bring him out. We'll talk about how it was game time against his Lakers last night. That was a fun game. Also, So, you know, he enjoys stirring the pot up, right? Oh, I stirred it up with Cam Hayward, and it got back to Cleveland.
It did.
So, here I am saying a mark of a great hostess humility, and I'm like, stay tuned for what we said and how it's made news. And how I did it. Hiring for a small business is hard. You don't often have a team of people helping out. That's why LinkedIn built Hiring Pro.

Before we get to the matter at hand here, which is the Lakers suffering their first loss of the season. Yeah. On a day the Knicks finally get their first win of the season. Coincidence? You like stirring it up, right?
You like people stirring it up. Yeah. So we had Cam Hayward on the program on Tuesday. The Steelers, who previously lost to the Browns in week four Thursday night football, after which Jared Burse was talking about dirty play and can't wait to see him again and blah, blah, blah. I replayed that soundbite for Cam Hayward, even though he's not part of the line that Burse was complaining about.
I played it for him and here was his response. You know, I'm looking forward to this game. It's going to be a fun game. Both teams are in position to, you know, do a lot of work in this division. As they say, the AFC North is on fire, and I'm glad I'm in the kitchen because I like it that way.
But those are words that were said, and they will be addressed. They will be addressed. Like that. Yes. The original title, I think, of the Paul Thomas Anderson hit, there will be addressed.
Working title. Pam wants to drink their milkshake. Yeah. Hey, yo.
So Denzel Ward responded? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Or at least he was asked for a response. Yeah, he was asked about it.
No, but we, because we kind of stirred it up. Jerry. Jerry. Jerry. Right, Jerry.
I'm feeling it.
Okay. Let's get it going. Right. Because we stirred it up, we should call it. He's responding.
Yeah. Right? Yeah. He was asked for a response. He's clapping back, right?
Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, let's hear the clap back. That's messy. Go for it.
I don't know. That's whatever they decide to address. I'm trying to get a win, so I don't know. I don't know. Whatever comes with getting a win, that's where I'm going to be at.
I have no thoughts or anything about that. He has no thoughts? What a bummer. We're stirring it up. He didn't clap back.
We're stirring it up. And he's like, yeah, we're just getting a win. Come on, Denzel. That doesn't help the rich eyes. Oh, he's a Buckeye.
Now I get it. It's personal. They're both Buckeyes. I want Buckeyes to fight each other. That Ohio State.
Buckeye on that. That Ohio State. That Ohio State. That is so unsatisfying. What an unsatisfying way to turn it out.
We stirred it up so they could stir it back up, and now suddenly there's bulletin board material. Aaron Rodgers gets asked about it. He says he doesn't give an F, and then we move on. Could have been better. What a bummer.
Disgusting. I agree. Deplorable. Deplorable. By the way, USC versus Ohio State, I am guaranteeing you, we will try our best.
Yeah, okay. Here, coach. Oh, did you – do we have the Lincoln-Riley soundbite? Did you hear about that one? Speaking of this game.
Yeah. Yeah, because, you know, Lincoln could be bounced. It could be. Oh, well, he's lucky he's home here because there's no tarmac involved, right? No tarmac.
And Pat Hayden's not walking through that door anymore? Right, right. All right. This is his response about Lincoln Riley. Go ahead and hit it.
I love it here. I mean, like I told you guys a lot of times, there's not many people in college football history that gave up what I gave up to come here. You know, so that's I don't care if it's 15 years down the line like that doesn't that that never should be taken lightly. It's certainly not taken lightly by me.
So I came here because this is where I wanted to be. I came here because I believe in this place and none of that has changed whatsoever. I give you the floor on that. Newsflash. Los Angeles is great.
That's fine. I'm happy for you. But what he gave up? He gave up. You already gave up.
You already gave up. What do you what? Please let me know. Old winters? No, you know what he's referring to?
No. Okay. Let me know. He gave up with a job where he wasn't getting fired. Oh, man.
He was a king for life there in Oklahoma. Right. He could have just sat there and kept on racking up quarterbacks who get Heisman trophies like Kyler and Baker, and then Jalen Hurts winds up at the podium and Caleb Williams. He could have sat back and kept Caleb all for himself in Oklahoma instead of sharing it with you here in Los Angeles, California, for all those taxes he's paying. I think that's what he's saying right there, man.
I hear that, but along the way, could you have brought some sort of defensive scheme?
Something, you know? That might have gotten lost in the U-Haul. I mean, my goodness. And Oklahoma just beat Texas. That was crazy.
So they're fine.
Sorry, man. I'll get the Airbnb myself. Am I incorrect? Is that a proper interpretation of what Lincoln Riley said? Nobody in the history of college football gave up what he gave up to come here to USC.
Your cookie's in the mail. Fight on. My goodness, dude. I don't want some wins. I think that's what he means.
Now, his job's in question. He had to start something from, you know, he was behind the eight ball, right? When he got here in his mind. Even though his record kind of matches that of his predecessor. Correct?
through the first few weeks, first few years here. At any rate. Can't beat Utah for some reason. All those times with Caleb when we couldn't get over Utah drove me insane. What about getting past Portland now?
Oh, bro, first of all, the Blazers have a great spot in my heart full of hate. You know, I feel like Damian Lillard can't stand the city of Los Angeles. He was a Clipper killer and he's a Laker killer.
Okay. But, yeah, I feel like that game got away from us. it does not bother me. Same record as the Sixers so I'm happy.
Okay. That was a shot in the direction of his co-host. I mean it's not a TJ. We're good. Not a TJ.
At who? LeBron? All his little haters online that will just sit and hate watch the Lakers. It is disgusting, Rich. Deplorable.
But you pay attention to all of it. I'm on Twitter every day. See if this was the NFL it would be like there's a problem with the Lakers the way that their roster is wrong Luka's got, you know, if he doesn't do it himself, they're not going to win. If this was the NFL, right? Luka might average 40 a game this year.
You know what I mean? God bless him. Which is great for the Rich Eisen Show Fantasy Basketball. Oh, man. Because I have him.
Oh. All hail Luka the Night King. I have him. Interesting. USC records here.
Clay Helton went 70 and 46.
Sorry, 46 and 24. Right. Lincoln's 41 and 20.
So kind of the same. Lane was 28-15 and got fired on tarmac. Yeah, man.
So Clay Helton has a better has more wins, but Lincoln's got fewer losses. Lincoln's percentage is slightly higher. He's Helton-ish. He's Helton-ish, in fact. Which is what USC fans don't want to hear.
Clay Helton won two wins in bowl games and that's exactly what Lincoln did. Do you know what I gave up to be here? Helton and Jason. Let me get the violin. Turn.
I came up to be here today. Oh, what's that? Sleep. That don't help. Yeah, right.
You know? That does not help. Our puppy was snoring last night. Really? Oh, not great.
It sleeps in the room with you. Correct. It sleeps in the bed with him, Chris. Is it on your bed? Not yet.
The other one dead? Not yet. Not bad. But it's coming. Cooper, are you in favor of this?
The dog on the bed? Oh, he loves it. He sleeps with Dylan on his bed every night. Yeah, Coop would love that. Every night.
