The Christian life is characterized by struggle, but it's not a sign of God's displeasure. Instead, it's a reminder that we're in a spiritual battle, and the Holy Spirit is at work within us, producing struggle and hardship. However, this struggle is not a reason to doubt our salvation or feel condemned. Rather, it's an opportunity to rest in the assurance of Christ and find comfort in His presence. Through the gospel, we can come to understand that Jesus is our good shepherd, our faithful king, and our savior, who offers us rest and salvation, not judgment or condemnation.
