The Bible's plan of salvation through Jesus Christ is centered in the history of one man, Abraham, and his family, who produced the Messiah. The old covenant, based on human performance, was weak and useless, leading to the need for a new covenant. The new covenant, inaugurated by Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, offers better forgiveness, a better high priest, a better offering for sin, better assurance of eternal life, and a better way to access its blessings through childlike faith and reliance on Jesus Christ.
