Jesus makes it clear that our gospel mission is not impossible, but rather one that God and His Spirit can accomplish. We are called to take the gospel message into the world around us, starting with our own neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces, and to make disciples by sharing the gospel and teaching others to obey God's commands. Paul challenges Timothy to be strong, endure hardship, and stay focused on the goal of winning the battle for the gospel. We must be separated from the world, dedicated to the rules of scripture, and motivated by the hope of harvest. The heart of the gospel message is Jesus, and we must stay faithful to God's word, warning, and work, as well as God's way of purity and humility.
