It don't cost you anything. And boy, there's a lot of good information. So anyhow, now let's find out who's been stealing the water. But in 2023, they'll receive just 5% of what they requested from the state. The Resnicks are the biggest farmers in California. As of 2007, they owned four San Francisco's worth of farmland. And nearly half of Americans buy at least one of their products. Their pistachios, their pomegranate juice, their mandarins, their flowers.
It's all under one massive umbrella. The Wonderful Company. A privately owned company worth at least $5 billion. The majority owners, the Resnicks, are worth at least $8 billion.
How were they able to take over such a large percentage of what should be a shared public resource? This is The Classroom from More Perfect Union, and today we're looking at how the Resnicks got rich. Linda is a former child actress, the daughter of Jack Harris, a successful movie distributor of the 1950s, most well known for The Blob.
Starring Steve McQueen and the cast of Exciting Young People. At 19, she founded her own advertising agency. Stewart was born to a middle class New Jersey family and started his first business, a janitorial service, in grad school. He eventually acquired American Protection Services, a burglar alarm and security company. Linda approached him about marketing services for the company and they hit it off, not knowing that one day they'd work together to take over California's water. The Lovebirds became business partners. They bought Teleflora, the flower delivery company, and the Franklin Mint, purveyors of inane little tchotchkes.
Linda was the marketing person, and Stewart was in charge of business. As Linda told the LA Times in 1993, Almonds, pomegranates, citrus, wine, and acquiring more and more land to cover it, including some very important land in Kern County, which granted them water rights in the area. As the Resnicks were building their empire, the state of California was building new water infrastructure with taxpayer money. California's natural water supply is very inconsistent. Vastly differing amounts of rainfall means the state can go from surplus to drought and back very easily, so they build water banks to store water during surpluses to have during droughts.
One important storage facility is the Kern Water Bank, started in 1988. The facility was built with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars, which could have been a good thing. The people of California would have owned the water. But there were two Californians thirstier than the rest, and they wanted more water. Linda and Stewart Resnick. And they had a lot of political power.
We'll get to that. In 1994, state water officials, water infrastructure contractors, and agricultural landowners with water rights arranged a secretive meeting at a resort in Monterey Bay, California. These groups, a mix of private companies and public agencies, rewrote California's water rules without any input from voters, taxpayers, or legislators. The new rules, called the Monterey Plus Agreement or the Monterey Amendments, were devastating for working Californians, and great for agriculture billionaires. The original code included urban preference, a long-standing rule that in times of drought, the state water board would give urban areas, where people live, access to water supplies before agricultural interests.
Monterey axed that. That means that in times of drought, the water systems for normal Californians would have to buy water from private companies, because they weren't getting it from the state. The new agreement also loosened regulations on paper water. That's water that doesn't necessarily exist anywhere but on paper. The full quantities of water that providers could have, but don't actually need to have. Today, five times as much water has been promised and sold as actually exists, and importantly, the meeting changed ownership of the Kern Water Bank. What once belonged to the state was transferred to a few private water contractors, one of which was Westside Mutual, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wonderful Foods. The wonderful employee who runs Westside, Bill Fillmore, is the chairman of the public organization that manages the Kern Water Bank.
Boom. One secret meeting, and the Resnicks owned nearly 60% of an important California water resource, built with hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer money. The new ownership, combined with the rules on paper and surplus water, meant that during times of drought, the Resnicks could sell Kern Water back to the state water systems. They took Californian taxpayers' water and sold it back to them, both literally as the water supply and also to grow expensive food like gourmet pistachios and pomegranate juice. They converted the people's water into products many can't afford. And that's just one water bank. The Resnicks also have control of other water boards and have been sued for directing more water towards their properties. So how do they get away with this Chinatown-level chicanery? There's gonna be a lot of irate citizens when they find out that they're paying for water that they're not gonna get.
With philanthropy. The Resnicks donate millions of dollars to politicians and research institutions, which help them secure control over water systems, and even get more water and more taxpayer funding. One important project is the proposed California Delta Tunnel, a taxpayer-funded project which would send water from Northern California to Central, where the Resnicks farms are. They've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on state and federal legislation and politicians who support the tunnel project. But their favorite politician is Senator Dianne Feinstein.
You come in here and you say it has to be my way or the highway. Chair of the Energy and Water Subcommittee. She's a close personal friend of the Resnicks, attending their holiday parties in Aspen and maintaining their financial interests. A quick look through the bills she's sponsored shows several which would direct money to current adjacent water projects. The Resnicks even ask her for things directly. When a pesky study about endangering salmon and shad fisheries threatened the Delta Tunnel, Stewart wrote a letter to Feinstein demanding a new study. She immediately forwarded it to the Obama administration, who agreed to spend $750,000 on a new study.
It returned the same results as the first one. Can't buy science. But the Resnicks have tried. They are among the top donors to the University of California system, with their donations focusing on agricultural and ecological studies. The Resnicks have basically bought entire departments who put out studies on how water systems should be managed and where funding should go. That leads to even more federal and state taxpayer dollars being used to fix up what the Resnicks profit off of. This is all bad for California even in a capitalistic sense.
Agriculture uses 80% of California's water, but only represents 2% of its GDP. The Resnicks' water monopoly is just one way their quest for wealth hurts the rest of us. They allegedly lobby for increased tensions with Iran to keep embargoes on superior Iranian pistachios. Their giant crops lead to monocultures which kill important pollinators. They siphon taxpayer dollars into the company town charter schools they own, set up to train children to work for their farms. And of course, like any company of this size, they exploit their workers. We need to treat water for what it is. A necessary public resource, a human right, and something that shouldn't be owned by anyone.
And work towards legislative change that stops people like the Resnicks from stealing it. Thank you for watching. Alrighty, we're back. Bo in Ohio pledges 150. Thank you, Bo. Okay, folks. 888-281-1110.
We've got about 50 minutes left. And, boy, I'm going to tell you, we've got to raise some funds if you're going to continue to hear us. 888-677-9673. 888-281-1110.
Go ahead, Elder. Yeah, just quickly, off of that clip that you just paid, that's something that the Resnicks control this much of the water supply. And then they sell it back to the state.
That's just ludicrous. And then, for those that don't know, Dianne Feinstein, of course, she passed on. But guess who is the chair of the Water and Energy Committee now who takes over that? Oh, it's not Pencilneck, is it? It is.
Oh, what? None other than Adam Schiff. You got it.
Adam Schiff-less. So the corruption continues on. So, wow.
Here we have a, let's see, let's pull that up. We have an article here about the coming Trump's inauguration. It says that Trump's inauguration braces for the worst with troops, drones, and fences. It says President-elect Donald Trump's second inauguration could be the most militarized in U.S. history, according to a report released on Monday. Citing U.S. officials, the Telegraph reports that nearly 7,800 soldiers will join approximately police officers to patrol Washington, D.C. during the peaceful transfer of power. The newspaper also reveals that two FBI field offices, a swarm of drones, and at least 30 miles of fencing will be used to keep Trump and inauguration guests, including world leaders and top U.S. lawmakers, from across the country safe from a series of potential violent threats. Despite receiving no specific threats, targeting Trump, law enforcement officials are prepared for the worst, according to the outlet. Additionally, National Guard members from all 50 states will operate checkpoints where inauguration observers will enter the National Mall in front of the Capitol building. While the federal government will enact a no-fly zone over D.C., a host of items have been barred from the inauguration area, including laptops, water bottles, and even selfie sticks.
Tensions will no doubt be running high during Trump's swearing-in as a coalition of left-wing organizations, including, watch this, Planned Parenthood and Abortion Access Now are set to hold a so-called People's March on Saturday to protest Trump's landslide win over his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. Officials moved to increase security for Trump's inauguration following the ISIS-inspired terror attack on January 1 in New Orleans, which saw 14 people killed and 35 injured. U.S. Secret Service Assistant Special Agent Matthew Young said, following the attack, that the agency adjusts our security plans as needed.
We're flexible and adaptable. We're going to be prepared, he added. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has also vowed to keep the area secure for the peaceful transfer.
We take pride in this responsibility. We're grateful to our federal partners, local agencies, and community members who work together to ensure a safe and secure event, Bowser said. The Secret Service has been the subject of intense scrutiny after a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump during a rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania in July. U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheadle resigned in the wake of the shooting amid scrutiny of security lapses related to the assassination attempt.
Cheadle, while testifying before Congress regarding the shooting, admitted that there were significant and colossal issues with the security at the rally. And also, I just wanted to add, you know, Dan Bongino, who used to work in the Secret Service for Obama, actually, but he had mentioned that there was great concern because the transition team is not being told the truth right now by the current FBI. And so it just reminds me, we need to be on our guards because as the Bible says, when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction.
So it always bothers me when they try to act like everything is okay. Well, like what Chuck Schumer said, you know, when Trump takes on the intelligence agencies, they've got six ways to Sunday to get you. That was a threat and they have been trying to get him.
And so he's got, they know that he's going to clean house when they get in there. And so, no, you can't trust the FBI. There was at one time, listen, I knew a lot of FBI agents, good people, you know, just patriots, Christian, and they still have some, the field agents, you still have some just like us out there. But what happened, it's Obama. Obama was the one that was where, and again, I want to repeat this because for eight years, every single day, I said, do you see what he's doing now?
Joe Larson and I, you know, Joe was looking at what we were, we were picking up stuff at Obama. He was appointing the very worst people he could appoint, the most anti-government and our anti-Christian, anti-God, anti-Christian people. And he just, he loaded down the intelligence agencies with corrupt people, with communists.
And so, this is where that started. And what happens is these people hire and charge, they hire people like themselves. They hire other people corrupted, so it goes down two or three levels within the FBI, and that's what's got to be cleaned out. And the CIA, it's the very same thing.
And the NSA, the very same thing. You know, you're talking about Saturday, and back in 2017, after Trump had won the 2016 election, I was in D.C., you had that woman's march that was the same, the same players, same players. And I'm going to tell you, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near you. It was the dirtiest thing I've ever seen. It was the dirtiest thing I've ever seen out there. I'll never forget that, where they had these women, they had Muslim women, you know, the squat-type people, the squat women, they had them that were dressed from head to toe. Next to them, standing up on a podium, you had the Democrat women, topless.
It was like in the 40s, like 45 degrees, not even that. And they were topless. They had 9- and 10-year-old boys and girls carrying signs, placards, that had the F word, big bold letters, the F word, the letter U, and then Trump. And these kids were shouting that out, okay? And then, you know, like, our women, our women, just like, you know, here, they're talking about how Trump is anti-woman.
Well, guess what? Every woman in the church I pastor voted for Trump. And when you see these rallies, these big rallies out there, there's as many women, if not more, there than there are men, and they're for Trump right now. Here, but these, see, and our women, listen, every one of our women, okay, see, we had the big pro-life rally prior to that, and we had, you know, 10 times as many people as they had, and every one of our women knew when they needed to go to the bathroom to go into the bathroom, okay?
But that wasn't so with the Democrats. Once they left Capitol Hill, they came down from First Street down to the museum, the Fourth Street there, and they had, I was talking to the women that worked, and these are all Democrats, the only hired Democrats in D.C., right? And these were Democrat women themselves, and they said how absolutely sickened they were by these women's march, because they said, they piled in there into the bathrooms, and they went into the men's room, too, but there was, when they filled it up, they said, you had these women were defecating on the stairs.
They told me, right on the stairs there, because they didn't want to have to go down the road a little bit to find another open bathroom, okay? And I'm not kidding you, this was, but this is what Democrats do, okay? These are people that just have no decency, but now it looks like there's a lot of them are bolting, they're getting out of there, but what we've been talking about, too, one of the dangerous things is this rhino, and I told people about this years ago, we started pointing it out, look what they're doing, Democrats are running as Republicans. And we kept trying to tell people, don't just look at if they got an R or D behind their name, find out who these people are, because that's how they decided, the only way they're going to win elections, okay, is through deception. It's absolute deception, and see, with us, you know, being sneaky and deceptive, it's wrong, but with them, it's not, okay?
And so, 888-281-1110, 888-281-1110, or 888-677-9673. Here, Laura Trump touts Donald as pro-woman ahead of inauguration. Donald Trump's daughter, this kind of goes along with what we were saying, Donald Trump's daughter-in-law steps into the spotlight to address concerns about women's support for the incoming president. According to Daily Mail, Laura Trump has defended her father-in-law, Donald Trump's relationship with women, insisting he's a champion of women who helped advance her own career within the family business. In a candid interview with the New York Post, Laura, who is married to Trump's son Eric, emphasized how Donald Trump's leadership style focuses on merit rather than gender.
She highlighted his history of appointing women to key positions and creating opportunities based on capability rather than democratic factors. Oh my gosh, that's another example of common sense. You absolutely, you know, you appoint people according to their capabilities, according to their skills, okay?
And not according to their race or their gender, huh? Yeah. That's the way it used to be. I remember, okay?
So, all righty. 888, folks. The phone rings. We got, well, we've got 40 minutes left.
Not even 40 minutes, we only got 38 minutes left. Uh-oh, I'm going to have to do something. Okay. I'm going to have to put my money where my mouth is. I'm going to go, I'm going to pledge another thousand. I pledged a thousand last night, but I can't keep doing this, but I'm going to pledge another thousand.
So, when you can, when you can, put me in for another thousand. All right, we need our applause. Where's the applause?
Well, he's, he's got, he's pretty busy in there, okay. Well, you should have a large applause with that. Yeah, yeah.
You ready for it? Okay. There we go, there we go.
All right, very good. It's kingdom work, people. Come on, let's throw in. Now, folks, can we get somebody out there to match my thousand dollars? Can we find one, what about two people to match the pledge 500?
Do we have any matches out there for the thousand? This is pledge week. We're trying our hardest to stay in the station you're listening to us on. And so, let me see. Oh, we got a note coming in here. I can't really read it. I guess it's Estes from Chicago's requesting prayer for, boy, okay, she's requesting prayer for a very serious medical condition.
Esther's nephew, Tom. Okay. Doctors are having a difficulty diagnosing his issue, okay. So, anyhow, that's a prayer request. Do you want to pray for Esther's nephew, Tom?
Certainly. Amen. Father God, we come before you. Truly, we thank you, Lord God, that you are the author and finisher of our faith.
You say that men ought to always pray and not to faint. So, Lord God, we lift up Esther's nephew right now. I believe his name is Tom, Lord God.
The doctors, they can't find or diagnose what his issue is. But God, your word declares that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are our designer.
You are our creator. And we pray that right now that you would just intervene right now on behalf of Tom right now, Lord God, that this situation, Lord God, might be remedied, Father God. We look for your supernatural healing, Father God, even from heaven, Lord God.
There is nothing too hard, nothing impossible for you. And we pray that you would bring comfort to his aunt right now and to him as well, Lord God. Bring comfort and bring peace. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
All right, thank you. Folks, can we get a match for Mary Grace's 100? Can we get a match for Bea's 200? Can we get a match for Bo in Ohio for his 150? And can we get a match for my 1,000, for my 1,000? We need to hear from you.
We don't have, we only have about 35 minutes left in tonight's program. Okay, now here's a, this is an interesting program. Minnesota says it can decide what constitutional rights people have. This is from WorldNetDaily. The story was published by WorldNetDaily News.
Minnesota is a far left state politically. It's no surprise, especially after recent, well, what happened here? Just as I'm reading this story, because I'm reading it disappeared on me. But wait a minute, I'll go back. I'll get it. Okay, there you go.
So, all right. After Minnesota is a far left state politically, it's no surprise that after the recent nationwide exposure of Governor Tim Walz, you know, this guy, unbelievable. I mean, there you go again. Here's a guy that shows you how common sense, how these people are so void of common sense. He's the guy that had Tampax put in boys' bathrooms.
Tampax machines put in boys' bathrooms. You know, where, well, anyhow. And he was Kamala Harris' number two on the Democratic presidential ticket. They want to be, geez. His radical transgender and pro-abortion agendas has, his alignment with China's ideologies. Oh, this guy is another one of the, those that go over there with the Biden crime family with China.
They're owned. All revealed to the alarm of many who were not previously familiar with his extremism. The state's leftism actually runs back decades after. It established itself as the only state in the nation to vote against Ronald Reagan for president. I remember that.
That's right. He was the, he had every state but one, only one blue. That was Minnesota.
Ronald Reagan. And now the state's questionable agenda regarding the U.S. Constitution has been further revealed by a lawsuit that changes the Midwestern state, that charges the Midwestern state has taken it on itself to decide people's constitutional rights. In a lawsuit by the Liberty Justice Center that charges Minnesota officials have insisted that they, they can decide what the Second Amendment's rights of individuals. And so the fight is over two truckers who may need to drive through the state, but are banned by the state from carrying firearms in their trucks for protection. David McCoy is a full-time long-haul trucker who lives in the sleeper compartment of his 18-wheeler. He has a Texas license to carry that permits him to bear arms in many states across the country.
Jeffrey Johnson is also a full-time long-haul trucker with a Florida concealed weapons license and Georgia weapons carry license. Even though both men have lawfully issued firearm license, they are currently prevented from carrying firearms for self-defense while in Minnesota because the state prohibits carrying a firearm for self-defense in public or in one's vehicle without a Minnesota permit to carry or to permit recognized by the state the legal terms expanded. I hope they sue the state for a lot of money. I hope they really did. And then I hope other people in Minnesota join that suit.
They really should, right? The state, here's what they said. The state decides which firearm permits from other states it will recognize, and it now excludes Texas and Walter. Brother, Georgia and Florida, with some two dozen other states, due to the law neither Mr. McCoy nor Mr. Johnson can exercise their constitutional rights to bear arms.
You know, I would say people would be good to boycott Minnesota. What do you think? Be back right after this. And now the end is near. If you're not saved, then you're hurting. It's him that you should fear.
And that's the truth I know for certain. He gave me life that's eternal. He kept me from going astray. He's God, and this I know. He did it his way. Regrets! He's had none.
Even one that I can mention. He saved you and I. He brought us through without exemption.
He planned each charted course, a guiding light along the pathway. For sure, not more or less, he did it his way. Throughout ancient times, I know it's true, there was never anything that he couldn't do.
My faith in him never was any doubt. What he said, he carried out all in all. As I recall, he did it his way. He lived, he suffered and died. But he arose in power and glory. In him, I now abide. For history is just his story. His word is where life's at. And may I say, not in a shy way.
Oh no, no not me. He did it his way. For what is a man? What has he got?
If not his award, then he has not. A broken heart, he can heal. And in his word, the truth revealed. His word shows what we all know, he did it his way. A broken heart, he can heal. And in his word, the truth revealed.
His word shows what we all know, he did it his way. All righty, we're back. Texas Governor Abbott objects. The federal directive keeps flags full staff for the Trump inauguration. All righty folks, the numbers are 888-281-1110. Or 888-677-9673. We only have about 25 minutes left for you to call in tonight. All right, John in Illinois pledges $5. Dinesio pledges $10 already. Again, 888-677-9673.
888-281-1110. Can we get a match for Mary Grace's 100 for B's 200? Can we get a match for Bose in Ohio for his 150? Or a match for my 1,000? Are there any out there that can help us in matches for that 1,000? We need a $1,000 match tonight, big time. We really do. So 888-281-1110.
Or 888-677-9673. Texas Governor Abbott objects. Federal directive keeps flags full staff for Trump inauguration. A display of political defiance unfolds in the Lone Star State as Governor Greg Abbott challenges a presidential directive concerning flag protocols. According to the New York Post, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered state flags to be flown at full staff for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, directly contradicting President Biden's federal mandate to keep flags at half-staff in honor of former President Jimmy Carter. Abbott's decision creates unprecedented tension between state and federal authorities over flag etiquette during a presidential transition.
The Governor announced his directive through social media, Platform X on Monday, emphasizing the dual purpose of honoring Carter's service while celebrating the incoming administration. This marks the first instance in American history where flags would be displayed at half-staff during a presidential inauguration. President Biden's order to maintain flags at half-staff for 30 days following Carter's death on December 29th extends through January 28th. This timeline encompasses Trump's scheduled inauguration on January 20th, creating a unique ceremonial predicament. The traditional display of American flags during presidential inauguration faces an unexpected modification due to the overlap with the mourning period of President Carter. Governor Abbott defended his position through an official statement that emphasized the significance of displaying flags, particularly during Inauguration Day celebrations. The Governor's stance reflects growing tensions between the state and federal authorities regarding ceremonial protocols during this transition period.
Political observers note that this decision is another example of state-level resistance to federal directives. Okay, there you go. Deacon John pledges 100.
Thank you, Deacon John. Alrighty. We have a number of... Oh, yes, that's right. New York Jug uses Lawfare Case to sentence Trump to discharge.
Very interesting here. The judge in New York used Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's Lawfare Case against President-Elect Donald Trump to sentence the 45th and soon to be the 47th president to a discharge. The sentence is a penalty without jail time or any probation, but a move to keep the conviction on Trump's record, a conviction that a long list of constitutional experts expect will be thrown out.
But, you know, they're saying that these will all be thrown out, but it could take years to do that. And so the judge claimed... First of all, that judge is about as corrupt as you can get. If he had had Rashan, Juan Rashan, if there had been any, any integrity, any honesty, any decency, that man, he would have recused himself from this. But there's none. There was no integrity there. None. Just none. Okay?
And unbelievable. Here, the judge claimed the unconditional charge ruling was the only legal sentence he had available. Trump told the judge he was completely innocent and had done nothing wrong and the judge knew that. The actual appeal... And all the banks said that. All those charges that they had against Trump, the banks said, no, he didn't do any of that, right?
The actual appeal process has not been able to start yet because of the lack of final sentencing from the Tower Court. There you go. Alrighty.
888-281-1110 or 888-677-9673. Alright. We have... Mike Johnson confirms... Oh, yeah, that was an interesting thing he said here. Johnson, I was really amazed when he said that, you know, because Johnson proposes wildfire aid linked to debt ceiling hike.
That's right. House Speaker Mike Johnson and President-Elect Donald Trump explore controversial strategies for addressing multiple fiscal challenges facing the nations. According to the political house speaker, Mike Johnson confirmed Monday that discussions are underway to potentially make California wildfire disaster relief funding contingent upon reaching an agreement to raise the debt ceiling. They just want to keep raising that debt ceiling, don't they?
And every time, you know, the dollar's worth less, every time they print up a bunch more dollars, it becomes less. And the proposed strategy emerged following GOP members' meetings with Trump at Florida Resort over the weekend where various approaches to handle both the mounting natural disaster needs and looming debt ceiling crisis were discussed. Democratic opposition to this conditional approach has already surfaced, setting the stage for potential legislative battles in the coming months. Well, you know, today, I mean, I... I was watched with Pete Headset, I was just tickled sitting there watching the way he handled those people. You know, he dominated the whole meeting, no matter whatever they threw at him. The only thing that, you know, I didn't agree with, he kind of backed off a little bit to a degree his position on women in combat, okay? He, Joni Ernst said, you know, she agreed with him to the point that, you know, women aren't men, they can't do everything men can do. But her argument was, if they are capable, would you support? If they are capable, in other words, if there were women that were capable of being, you know, going to combat, and again, common sense, why in the world would you want to put women in combat with men? It just doesn't make sense, but anyhow.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should. Right. Michael in Illinois pledges $500. Thank you, Michael, thank you. Can we get a match for Michael? Can we get a match for Michael in Illinois for his $500? Can we get a match for Deacon John's $100?
Can we get a match for my $1,000, folks? We only have 15 minutes left tonight for you to call in. Just 15 minutes left and then the phones go off, okay? So we got to be here. We got to hear from you. Thank you, Michael.
Your numbers are 888-1110 or 888-677-9673. Now you folks out there, if you're saved, if you're saved, well then a good time for you to call in a pledge would be when Elder Barkley gives the invitation. So if you're saved, okay, but a few others out there that are listening, I would listen to it because it's really the most important part of the program.
And Brother Barkley, you've got about 8 minutes to give a good invitation. Okay. All right. Amen. You know, what first comes to mind, everyone, is that we are on this radio station. We are fighting for truth. We are fighting for what is right. But the Bible tells us, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and then to lose his soul? Or what would a man give in exchange for his soul?
So tonight, while we're fighting for the rights of humanity, fighting for those things that are right, what does it profit if we win on this side or if you win on this side and then you should lose your soul? Listen, I want you to understand that God cares about you and I want to briefly just share this from the Word of God. It says that, this is a story about Lazarus and the rich man, and it says that, And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried, and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torment, and seeth Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receiveth thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things, but now he is comforted and thou art tormented.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gall fix, so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot, neither can they pass to us that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, Father, that thou would ascend him to my father's house, for I have five brethren that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. And he said, Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses, and the prophets let them hear them. And he said, Nay, Father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Well, I want to tell you that there is someone that rose from the dead, and that person is Jesus Christ. He sits at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us right now. And he is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. And I want you to understand through this. This is Jesus.
He was talking. He wants you to know that hell is real, and hell is not the end because hell is going to be cast. Both hell and death are going to be cast into the lake of fire. But understand is that there will be an immense amount of torment, shame, hurt, just unimaginable pain and the separation from God and never ever the opportunity to get things right. This is your time.
This is your opportunity. I was just talking with a pastor friend of mine, and they went over to check on his brother today, and his brother was gone. And see, we have to understand that tomorrow is not promised right now. As long as you're breathing right now and you can hear this, I pray that you hear God, because this could be your last opportunity.
And if it is, this could be one of the best decisions you have ever made in your life. And I want to just ask you if you're someone, hear God's voice right now, because there's a group of people that the Bible talks about. They scoff at the promises of God. They in essence say, well, where's the promise of his coming?
Everything is the same as it was. Well, I want to let you know that that is a very ignorant mindset. The Bible actually calls it and says that those people are willingly ignorant because they really don't understand the operation of God. If you're going to come to God, you must first believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. And so if you would but hear his voice tonight, we don't need to make it difficult.
All you need to do is accept him and let him be. And he paid the penalty for your sin on the cross, that divine blood that was shed. It covers your sin.
It covers my sin. And if you would accept him, believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ died on the cross and that he rose again, then you could be saved. And so if that's you out there, I just want you to understand again that that Bible, it says that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Listen, again, the Lord, he loves you. And I'm just going to ask you if you hear that tonight and you say, hey, you know what, preacher, I don't want to gamble if I should shut my eyes tonight.
And then where would I be if I don't awake on this side? You're going to be in one place or the other, hell or heaven. And we want to make sure that you get to heaven. So pray with me if you can hear the Father's voice. Father God, we just want to thank you right now for those that may be making that decision right now. We know that you are faithful.
We know that, Lord God, you, Father God, in your promises, you will take our sin and throw it as far as the east is from the west. And we pray for those that tonight that may be making the decision for the first time to accept you into their heart, Father God, and that, Father God, tonight that as they would pray this prayer, that, Father, I am a sinner. I am an acknowledgment that I need a savior. And I ask you, Lord Jesus, to come into my heart to be both my Lord and to be my savior, to save me from my sins. And that, Father God, should I die this night, that, Lord God, I would be with you. If you have prayed that and you believe that in your heart, guess what? God is real and his promises are real. And you are right now, you are saved if you have done that. And the next thing you need to do is you really need to get into a Bible-based church so that you could be helped in the rest of your walk. And so we want to thank you and we thank you, God, for those that have prayed that prayer tonight.
God, you know who they are. And we bless your name in Jesus' name. Amen. All right.
Very good. Well, again, like those people say, things are just the way they are. They are not. And again, you know, people that are biblical literate understand they see the signs of the times. They see what's happening out there. And we're seeing it all around us. It's as clear as our nose and our face. But the vast majority of people out there today, just like the Word of God says it would be, are clueless.
They're clueless. Anyhow, folks out there, again, the most important thing, the time will come. There's no chance, absolutely no chance that this won't happen. Every one of you, if you're listening to me, that means you're alive. And if you're alive, that means at some point you're going to die.
You won't be alive. And that's then the judgment. That's reality.
We're talking about reality. And the time will come when the only thing, the only thing that will matter to you is your standing with the Lord. You see, you're either saved or you're lost.
There's no in between, folks. And so, and believe me, God has given you, He did the heavy lifting. He's given you a way out. I would take that. Let me tell you, you've got two options. Take it. Take the way out, okay? Call upon the name of the Lord and acknowledge what He did for you or spend all of eternity wishing you had.
Those are your two options. Well, it's time again. We'll be here for another, about another seven minutes. We've got to hear from you. We've got to.
Anthony in Texas pledges 200. Thank you, Anthony. And so we say, Good night. And then we say, God bless. And always, always, always ready. Keep fighting the fight. The preceding program is sponsored by what's right. What's left ministries and is responsible for its content.
