Dana Loesch reacts live to Susie Wiles being removed as President Trump’s Chief of Staff and replaced by Stephen Miller. Pete Hegseth says he’s not going anywhere. Bernie Sanders is already promising far-left policies including a $20 minimum wage. Dana rejects the resurfaced talking point that we are the aggressor with Iran but also reinforces that no American wants to have to deal with them. The U.S. economy delivers a major jobs surprise, adding 165,000 jobs in October and crushing economists' expectations. Dana explains how poor economic messaging affected the voter turnout.Thank you for supporting our sponsors that make The Dana Show possible…Alliance Defending Freedomhttps://JoinADF.com/DanaDon’t let schools put ideology over the safety of our girls in sports. If your phone sounds like mine, you know life gets busy. But no matter how busy I am, my health, including my sexual health, is a priority for me. When I learned prep could be an option for women, I looked into it. Prep can be about 99% effective in preventing HIV through sex when taken as prescribed, and it comes as a long-acting injectable, which might mean more time between doses. Ask your healthcare provider about a long-acting injectable prep option, and visit PrepIsForWomen.com.

T's and C's apply. Welcome to the program. Breaking news, though, because now it just came out that Susie Wiles is out as White House Chief of Staff. She will be replaced by Stephen Miller. With POTUS announcing himself just a little bit ago on True Social, as it was reposted to X, he says, "Quote: I am pleased to announce that Mr.

Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff for the Trump Administration and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff beginning Monday, November." He says Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump political operation. I want to thank her for her service as chief of staff. She has done a great job. Very interesting.

Now, I mean, again, and this just all happened. Very interesting indeed.

Now, one of the first things that I thought was. Whether I mean, I wonder how much of this because she had cancer, and I know she was having cancer treatments, and I was one. I was curious as to how much of that factored into this. Not that she lacked the ability to handle anything, but it's a very taxing job, obviously, as you know. And you are just, you know, you are you are wondering how that works out because she was staying at the White House, wasn't she?

She was like actually staying there, undergoing treatment.

So, and chief of staff. No, even if you are at the the tip of the your your tip top shape, is still pretty. Yeah, still. I mean, it's pretty taxing.

So he has named her as chief of staff, or sorry, Stephen Miller's chief of staff, and Susie Wiles is out. One of the things that I see happening. And I'm not. I'm trying to figure this part out. Immediately, there were some that were.

I don't know. They're they're going in and they're they're saying, "Oh, Trump fired her, and he's cleaning house." And I feel like that's a point that comes up every single time anybody from the Trump administration leaves. Right? Like Harmit Dillon Kane and I were just talking about this on break. She has left the DOJ.

But my understanding, and this was something that I had read. A little while ago, is that that was always her timeline? She wasn't going to stay in that role to like the end of you know up until twenty eight, and it was always I think a a short like she was doing something specific for the DOJ, right? That's kind of the understanding. But then the way that it was rolled out, partially with I would say the woke Reich and the legacy press that are working together on this.

They were like, "Oh, Trump's cleaning house. She's out." She, I mean, and they're going after Hegseth similarly, and they're going after who else? They were saying Rubio was going to leave, and then Rubio was the only one who actually said, "You know what? I'm not leaving." And then he went back to work, and that was it. Just sidebar on that.

He's so anticlimactic when he says stuff. Like, there's all this, and everybody's freaking out, and then he gets up there, and he's like. I'm not leaving. Bye. Just walks away.

Just walks away. Makes me feel like I'm watching a Cipollini show. Like he's Chester up in the ceiling, you know? Like, yeah, I'm not going anywhere. Bye.

That was a deep. That was a deep dive. All right.

So she is out. He is in. This is all just happening. And what does that mean?

Well, I think that's what we'll find out. I think nobody's. Nobody's. I think. On the same page as to what that I mean, it could be again he's just shifting, and he says she's moving to the Trump political operation.

There were a lot of people who credited her with keeping him on point during the election, right? Because some were saying, "Well, 2020, the election was kind of disastrous." The campaign, rather, especially in the home stretch, they were saying, "Oh, twenty twenty," but then twenty twenty-four, he was so disciplined and he was on it, and and a lot of people were crediting Wiles with that. But there is also, again, we're in the palace intrigue phase, ladies and gentlemen. It's where we're at.

So he's in. And I think he's been he's that explains why he's been so visible lately as well. Although the chief of staff normally is in a very highly visible position, that's not the one where you go on cable news and you're. I mean, you're you have surrogates that go out and do that.

So that'll be interesting to see if that still plays out similarly. But if you're just joining us, Susie Wiles is out and Stephen Miller is in. She's and he's moving her to what he said was the Trump political organization.

So she's still in the orbit, and I think that means she's still going to have the influence. I think it would be really naive for people to think that you know she's not going to have any any influence with the White House. Bill Malugen also reported it that there were and obviously as you know Trump confirmed it confirmed it with his own post so we'll see you know with any other developments that we get. Lorena's following it for Substack chapter and verse as well, and I'll push that out when that's when we have that up. But interesting, home repairs have a way of happening at the worst possible time.

A water heater breaks, your HVAC quits, or you have a plumbing or electrical problem, and suddenly. Suddenly, you're dealing with an expense you didn't plan for. Homeowners insurance doesn't cover day-to-day wear and tear repairs with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC failures. That's where HomeServe comes in. HomeServe offers repair plans for as little as $4.99 a month on select plans.

It's like a subscription for your home. You select the plan that fits your budget and your needs, and when something breaks, contact HomeServe's 24/7 hotline. Void in Florida. Hey y'all! It's Lauren La Rosa, and y'all know I always have the latest.

So on my new audio series Love Lately, I'm getting into the conversations we're really having about love, relationships, and our sexual health. Every week, it's me and Dr. Contessa Metcalf, my big sister with a medical degree, breaking down what the culture says versus what the doctor says, and helping make sense of it all. Get into it. Another thing me and my friends don't really talk about is like how you're having conversations with people about getting tested.

I'll be honest, so many women don't feel comfortable talking about it, and they don't feel comfortable advocating for themselves. But let's go ahead and just put you in a position to where you can kind of empower yourself, and it it isn't something. It's not a judgment thing. It brings that peace of mind that y'all can just do what y'all do and have a good time. Yeah.

I say, get tested together, and that's beautiful. Brings you closer together. Listen to Love Lately with Lauren La Rosa from iHarts Ruby Studio on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Brought to you by Gilead Sciences. One of the things that can't—I think this is going to be another thing that you're going to have to deal with in terms of narrative stuff—is everyone saying, "Oh, there's." All Trump's cabinet, he's they're going to get.

They're acting like it's like a, which I think there is maybe to an extent like a little bit of a inter party squabble, but I don't think that that's necessarily the case. I think some of this is palace intrigue because you know you heard the rumors of Rubio going and people, and then Rubio's like I'm not leaving, and then they Susie Wiles is being moved over to a different. What do they say the Trump. Trump political organization, okay, and I think that because she's been with him for a while, and then they're going at Hegseth really hard. This is what he had to say about it.

Cut four. Listen to this: A disgruntled, defeated congressman, along with all his Democrat allies, has also dropped sham articles of impeachment against yours truly. Just like they tried against President Trump, twice. You see, their policies don't work.

So their obsession with political theater, disguised as power, drives them to try to destroy their opponents. It's all about the politics of personal destruction. Didn't work against President Trump, and it won't work with me. You can rest assured of that. There you go.

It's uh, it's nice to see. I like that he and Rubio are pushing back on this, the stuff because I think some of what you're seeing is the left smells blood in the water and they're like, oh, now who else can we go get? Let's go get them. And some of it, I think, is coming maybe more so from the left than actually the right. In this one particular case, so interesting, interesting, interesting.

Now I have some other audio that I want to.

Okay, just get this off. Get this out here. Bernie Sanders is already saying this is what Democrats got to do, guys. This is cut nine. Get ready in January.

Woo hoo! In America today, while the very rich get richer, oh my god, sixty percent, six zero percent of our people live paycheck to paycheck, and millions work long, long hours for incredibly low wages. That must change. The seven dollar and twenty five cent an hour federal minimum wage is a starvation wage. Democrats must raise it to a living wage of at least twenty bucks an hour, and make it easier for workers to form unions by passing the Pro Act.

A job must lift people out of poverty.

Well, why is he like putting the union stuff in there? No one's saying that they can't. They're just saying public sector unions get rid of the taxpayer. Private sector unions are entirely a different thing altogether. How many houses does he have?

You guys remember? I'm actually looking this up right now. I thought it was three, wasn't it? Yeah, it is a three house. Wasn't one of them?

Forgive me. I'm actually looking this up right now because I my memory. I wasn't one of them, like on waterfront property. Oh yeah, it is.

So he has. Oh, I love it how they're like. He's got a modest four bedroom, two and a half bathroom colonial in Burlington. It's a little over half a mill, guys. Modest.

And then he's got a townhouse in D.C. That's very expensive. It's a couple blocks from the Capitol. Steve, you're on D.C. How expensive expensive are those row house, townhouse things?

Like literally a couple blocks away from the Capitol. Um, within like a mile, it's usually like a one and a half to two million. Oof, that's a lot. Oh, and then here's his waterfront property.

Well, it's waterfront, lakefront. It's in North Hero, Vermont. It's a seasonal four bedroom cabin and lakefront property on Lake Champlain in North Hero, and that's about a million dollars.

So he's got a crazy Forbes did this whole thing on his real estate portfolio, and okay, Kane made a really good point that Bernie Sanders used to say tax the millionaires, and then he started saying he stopped saying that for a little bit, and then he changed it, and he started saying tax the billionaires. Kane, why? Tell the class. Tell the tell the the people assembled here, hanging out with us today. Just coincidentally, after he became a millionaire, coincidence though.

It's like, oh, wait a minute, Bernie, you're a millionaire. Oh, billionaires. I mean, you gotta text the billionaires. Three houses. To be quite honest with you, I've never.

I mean, I know that there are people out there that can afford and have second houses. I've never understood that. Even though I'm a maximalist. There's certain things I don't want to have to deal with the upkeep and the property and the worrying about the property and the taxes on the property and all that. It's just like I, I don't.

Maybe he has a lot of leisure time to be able to go and and enjoy three different properties all over you know different parts of the country, but most people can't, right? Because that means you got to have some free time to be able to go and enjoy all these properties, right? Most people cannot. Like most people get like what a week's vacation. I haven't had like an actual vacation in a long time.

I took time off for Christmas last year, but I've not had a vacation. And we're going to be going on two years. I don't know how he has the time to even be able to be at these places, because I'm looking at the the this photo of his waterfront in Lake Champlain. This was I think in, I think this is New York Post. And you know he's got like some canoe.

He's got water sports stuff out there. I mean, damn, he can even go on the lake and enjoy some water sports. When do y'all have time to do that? No, nobody does.

Now, I I'm just amazed at that. Yeah, he's got some really sweet. His his place from the capital is his most expensive property. And I think his second most might be his lakefront, but yeah, he's that's where he likes to go. He has this little socialist summer camp up there.

That's what you always hear from these people. These calls are going to increase because the left is telling their base that the problem of affordability is. Yes, it's because Trump's the devil, but it's also because of the rich and the upper middle class. As a result, you're gonna have to you're gonna have to get taxed more. It's just what's gonna have to happen to you.

They're gearing up for that point. They're gearing up for that. That is absolutely happening. And they're concerned that they think that this is the way that they can handle those concerns for voters.

Well, we'll just make the government make it fair.

Well, the government making it anything is why we got into this problem in the first place. If I'm a business owner, I want to be able to have the capital to and the resources to grow wages, hire people, sustain. Those benefits and those wages, and expand and be more successful, and increase the wage of the workers that have been here the longest, working the hardest, and all of that. I mean, there are so many people. You know, it's why I always hate April because we pay in taxes an ungodly amount.

I pay more than Barack Obama because I don't. You know, you get target. Oh, by the way, the IRS targeting will probably resume of conservatives coming up after January first.

So get ready for that. And Bernie Sanders, as Cam pointed out, has never had a private sector job. You guys, you all know this. He's never had a private sector job ever. I do not consider the little zine that he did, the little magazine that he made and distributed, to be that.

But they think that they can address those concerns of their base with this kind of stuff. And there are some on the right in the post-constitutionalist movement that actually agree with parts of that. That think it's the government's job. That's why you saw. Let's pay nine thousand dollars to women to stay home and raise their kids.

That's taxpayer dollars that you're just literally redistributing. And they're like, well, no, no, no. It's being spent anyway. It's not though, because you can claw it back just like Trump did with USAID, with the USAID money. He clawed that back in a pocket recision, and he was successful at it.

You could attempt to do this with that, but they just don't have the spine to do it, so they won't. You're seeing that horseshoe come together to be a circle. This is Ted Cruz cut seven. The Republican Party does need to deal with us. Listen, said this week we had an election on Tuesday.

That a lot of the voters expressed anger. They expressed frustration. Their life has gotten more difficult. Meeting day to day needs. At the end of the day, if you're failing at the kitchen table, you're not getting the job done.

And and millions of voters in Texas and all across the country, they expressed that. Profoundly, I will say to every elected Republican: We need to listen to what the voters said, listen to their frustration, and be working to lower gas prices, lower food prices, lower interest rates. Help people succeed and provide for their families. They can worry about everything else after they're able to meet their basic needs. That being said.

Look, the last two days in Texas, as I've traveled the state, I've just encountered people who are grieving. They're in shock. They they may have been angry, but they did not anticipate this this tidal wave nationwide electing radicals to the Senate, giving the Democrats a a stranglehold on the Senate, and Texas flipping blue. Yeah, I don't know if Texas is entirely blue, but it's absolutely purple. Florida, be careful with that too, because it did affect Florida.

Florida was the rock against which that blue wave crashed. But as I told you, Byron Donalds got two hundred thousand fewer votes than DeSantis, and it's not. It it was all across. It was everywhere.

Now, turnout in parts of Texas, and this is one of the things that I've been talking about with some of the party officials here. It was higher in some areas than others. And I think that there were people that actually voted Republican in the primary that voted for Democrat in the general. I'm not saying that as the my final statement, but there are some indicators that the party scene, and there's been a lot of discussion about that here. But he's right.

You you have to address that when people are hurting financially. This is when Santel looks really attractive. And the GOP. What if I said since 2016? What did I say in 2020?

What did I say in 2024? The economy and dealing with the economy is the brightest potential and the biggest advantage that the Republican Party has. And when they can't do it, when they can't focus on that, that's a major problem. When they mess up that messaging, it is a problem. Um, I mean, there were times when Trump gave an interview one time not long ago where he was saying, "Yeah, people were telling me not to talk about immigration so much," and I think that was at the height of all of the stuff with ICE and deportations.

Like, no, that's actually Republicans talking about enforcing what people voted for at the border is incredibly important, incredibly important, and. Messaging it correctly and letting people know that you hear their concerns—not only do you hear them, but you have plans to deal with it—is a major issue.

Now, one of the other things you're going to be looking at, and this is interesting, because I just pulled up my notes on this.

So, Amy Klobuchar is governor. You also have Hinohosa in Texas. There are a number of other areas where Democrats are saying Jamie Raskin at the congressional level. They're all saying it's time to now go back to guns. They've all been saying it.

This all started yesterday. We've been seeing it over and over again. That's going to be a fight. Get ready for that. And I'm I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

I'm going to bring it all back, and you're going to be you're going to leave feeling encouraged. But 2028 could be very difficult. I'm just saying. But hey, you know what? We're getting ready to go to a weekend.

We stewed over it this week. You deserve a break and a reset, right? That's normal. Take a break and have a reset. You live in the greatest nation in the world, and there is nothing to be so overwhelmed about that that should be that truth should be robbed from your mind.

There is always an opportunity to be great and do great things, so long as there are people in this nation willing to do great things and be great. We are literally the underdog. America's story is being the underdog. Think back during the time the revolution and the War of Independence. It was a plucky group of patriots that were the minority.

The real, like serious, vast minority—they fought against the greatest nation in the world at the time, and the greatest military in the world at the time, and we won. And we won for a number of reasons. We won because we were united by liberty. We were—we won because we wanted to be free, and we won because good people were willing to do great things.

So as long as you have that. And that is a hallmark of this nation. There is nothing to be so completely besie overwhelmed over. Don't despair. Be a happy warrior, and be grateful that you can be one.

We have more to come as we roll our partners that bring you the program. It's our friends at Webroot.

Now look, Webroot's like all right, guys. Cybercriminals are getting more and more sophisticated. They are too. Here's the thing. Yeah, I think maybe like fifteen years ago, they kind of had like a one size fits all criminal approach, right?

Oh no, no, no, no!

Now they're like way much more sophisticated. They have different things for different. Generations, grandparents might see like questionable links and payment schemes, and you know students might see questionable websites or you know download this, you know all kinds of stuff. And now with more people shopping online as we are rolling into the Christmas season, you're going to see more travel, more digital payments, and that is so much more opportunities for cyber criminals. And now they have so many ways targeting different generations to try to scam you.

This is why Webroot Total Protection. Is paramount. They have new scam protection included, and so with the new scam protection, it actually helps your family from today's sophisticated, increasingly sophisticated online threats.

So you can scan suspicious text, screenshots, images, videos, links, and determine whether or not something is legit or a scam. Even if AI is involved, they actually have an ID check to help verify who you're actually sending money to before you pay. They have twenty five thousand dollars in scam reimbursement, so you have an additional safeguard. As well, and I mean it's it's easy. This is a USA company.

It runs on the cloud. It's so it does not drag down your system, and it is the best one out there. That's actually modern and optimized right now. Webroot Total Protection is sixty percent off.

And then we've got some odds and ends. I'm always like interested in like where you guys come down on things like Meghan Markle's dad was arrested. That's not anything I normally follow. I'm more interested in like the palace intrigue and the policy fights and everything else. But maybe we'll get to that because that's a little, that's a whole thing.

But we were talking a little bit before we went into headlines. And if you missed anything, if you missed anything this week, you can go and get the podcast, and you can also find us on YouTube, Facebook, Substack as well, Chapter and Verse, lots of good stuff up there. The ongoing, I there's a post mortem, and then there's a redefinition. There's two things happening. And the post mortem is important because, guys, we got to figure out what's up.

We have to figure out first off. There's a lot of discussion over where all these voters from Democrats came.

Now, I am not a conspiracy theorist. I am very far from being a conspiracy theorist. I am very logical. Try to be as stoic as possible. Not like in the terms of thought, not countenance, but.

For the most part, and I just I really I want to fix the problems. Right, that's how I look at it. But there's some interesting. I'm not saying that there's. I'm not saying that there's fraud.

I'm not saying that there isn't fraud. What I'm curious about, and this is one of the things I was reading about last night, diving into things, talking to a couple of people who work who were helping with poll watching and that. Is that I think may indicate it's one of two things. It could either, I mean, sure, you could either have fraud, or it could also mean such an anger within the GOP, the likes of which I don't think the party has seen before.

So you see now why I kind of want to drill that down. It's one of those two, I think, maybe both. I don't know. But there's a lot of anger and resentment within the GOP, and a lot of it. One of the things I hear from a lot of people is, "Why didn't they message this?

Why didn't they talk about this?" Why I think that's pretty much a guarantee that that is a major issue for them. Being able to message these things. Like with the tariff situation, which we're going to talk about coming up, there were people who thought that it was a great thing and they had no complaints. There were people who thought that it was absolutely disastrous and it was ruining business. There were some people, maybe like me, who thought, "Well, I don't like this because at this particular time, I'm not against tariffs, but I'm actually against poor execution more." And I was questioning the execution of something because you create a bubble of uncertainty, and it's very difficult.

And there's serious polling that shows that that starts that's right when Trump's approval ratings started the decline. A situation with Iran didn't help, and that's no one's saying. By the way, and let's make this very clear for the Kattarlsen Bros out there. Who love to, by the way, misrepresent? I posted one image for a graph, and I it was not the correct image for a graph.

But it completely ignored all the data that I had in Substack, and maybe I'll rectify it when Tucker Carlson apologizes for telling everybody that Trump was going to drop a nuke on Iran right before the election.

So, it doesn't ignore the real tanking of Trump's approval rating on that Liberation Day. That's measurable. It's real. We can see it.

Now, no one's saying that Iran didn't compound this situation further. Absolutely, no one's saying that. There are people misrepresenting that to you, and they are disingenuous rat bastards who hate the nation and they're traitors. I'll be honest, they're treasonous because they're ignoring this and they want they want to keep handing more and more over to the red green alliance. What people are saying.

Is that it compounded the problem, but there was no one singular issue that drove it. What the vice president said is that there absolutely was, and it was Iran and Israel. And he verbatim said this, like this is the reason, the sole reason. This is why we. That is what people are objecting to, because we're saying, wait, hold up.

There were a lot of things actually, and it began here. And then this made it worse. It's not just one thing or this; it's several things all snowballed together. But the vice president explicitly said, typed it out and hit send on X, that it was just Iran and it's Israel, and he said that this is the sole reason that we lost the war.

Okay, that's what we got a problem with because it's not just one thing, and it's that's that's the lie. People are. I had people telling me people who literally write editorials in major newspapers that Trump's approval rating was great, and then until right before the strikes with Iran, that's not supported by anything. Real clear politics, none of it. All the averages over there, none of that.

I mean, you can go back and see it. They haven't removed any of this stuff. You can go back and look a year and a half.

So that's why we're saying, wait a minute! You're literally lying to us about the data that's right in front of our faces, and there's you have to you can't just say this is the problem. And then let's retreat to a position of multipolarity and listen to Alexander Dugan. You, I'm sorry, but you have the vice president and his support group that I fear are being infiltrated by literal like Russian multipolarity scam artists like Alexander Dugan and these other guys, and they're pushing against America first. You cannot be for multipolarity and America first.

I'll say it again. If you support multipolarity, you are not America first. You're an enemy of the republic. If you support elevating China and Russia over that of the United States, you're not America first. This is the debate.

It is absolutely the debate, and there are a lot of people. That are really they're taking advantage of the chaos the day after the election, so this is why again it's important to drill down on some of this stuff, and look and see what's really happening and where sentiment really sits. You know, there's there's a couple of things, and I have another piece that I'm going to be working on that is going to dive that dives into a lot of this stuff because what I think there's what people. What was on the ballot and what people were voting against? I don't really think.

I think failure of Iran was on the ballot, but not the response to Iran, the prosecution of conflict, because in the very beginning. You had countless polls. There was, oh my gosh, Reuters, AP. I'm actually looking at all of them right now. The support in the beginning for Trump with the response in Iran for Republicans now was pretty high.

I mean, the base was like, okay, right? Trump laid it out in the beginning. Trump laid it out very well. There was a soundbite that we played ad nauseum from Rubio, where he was explaining that. Iran was trying to cobble together the missile capability to insulate itself, so that it could work on enrichment unfettered.

Now this gets into a talking point that a lot of people have brought up. They're like, "Well, we've heard for thirty years that Iran's going to have a nuke. We've heard it for thirty years. I agree, we have, because they've tried for thirty years." I've had people telling me yesterday that Iran didn't do anything to the United States and that the United States is the big bully. I'm waiting for these people to echo the mullahs and call us the great state, and it's going to happen any second.

There are actual people saying this that believe that.

Some of them think the history began the day that they dropped from their mother's womb. I guess. I mean, this stuff predates even our existence on this rock.

So. The talking point of well, they've said that they were going to have you know yes, you're right. People have said that that is correct because that's how it's been handled. Very similar to Israel and Gaza and the containment trap that precipitated and led up to October and helped contribute to October seventh. It's very similar.

What it's a very actually it's pretty much the same. The United States and Iran, the containment trap. We'll contain them, and we'll keep this problem over there, and we can manage it. That's the containment trap. We've got them here in this little box.

It'll be fine. We can manage it. Every president, without exception, since Carter helped create this problem in the seventy s, has has practiced this. Reagan went a little bit further, but pretty much for the most part, everybody practiced this. It's that containment trap theory.

One of the best ways to illustrate this is if you have a pot of water, and you periodically reduce the heat right as it gets right as it gets to the point of boiling, and you reduce the heat right there, you can you can ride that simmer for a long time. That's what we're talking about. We would have these periodic sort of adjustments to Iran that didn't do anything but deplete a little of what they had and really piss them off. But it didn't do it. We were still in that containment trap mentality.

I mean, we've done this before. We've gone through the history. I encourage you to listen to past podcasts. We've gone through the history of everything that we have. I mean, we the Marine Barracks bombing.

My gosh! I mean, embassy. There's been a lot that Iran has done to the United States. Iran has killed a lot of Americans. We didn't start the fire.

They started it in the '70s.

So I reject the Islamist talking point that we are the aggressors with Iran. That is an Islamist talking point. I will caution people who try to repeat Mullah propaganda as though it's our Western position, just because it was laundered through Qatar or Qatargulsen.

So, with the situation with Iran. The issue, I think, it comes down to that failure, that prosecution, and I understand. Like I said, that talking point. Rubio's response, I thought, was the most important in the first month of that escalated engagement, and he laid it out. We played this audio.

He was in a hallway with some reporters, and he said, "Look," and what he said is that they were getting the missile. It's basically they were becoming North Korea.

Some people advising Trump remembered history, and I think Trump is one of them. Remembered what happened with North Korea. We practiced containment with them.

Now they're nuclear power. They have, I mean, who knows what they have? Hermit nation, honestly. But we don't want the same thing to happen with Iran. Nobody wants an Islamist regime to have nuclear capacity because then basically everyone becomes a de facto slave to them in that region.

Everybody does, and Rubio spelled it out. They were accumulating enough missiles where they would be completely insulated from anybody, and they could pursue enrichment without interruption.

So when people say, "Well, we've heard for thirty years that that you are right," I will not contest that, but also because it's true. Both of those things can co. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't want to have to deal with what the hell's happening over in that sandbox any more than you do.

But I also don't want to sacrifice reality to accommodate a position that would be ultimately detrimental to America's national security. And for the people who say neocon and all of that, first off, I really need some of the drivebys to get a dictionary for Christmas, and I pray to Jesus that you do. Number one, a term hasn't even been accurately used since the wall fell. But I also think that it's disingenuous. How do you define what that is in today's geopolitical realm?

Are we to ignore every single threat to national security? Are we to ignore every threat that would destabilize the sovereignty of America and the position of us as the world powerhouse? Why do we want to be the world's powerhouse? Not because we have imperialistic tendencies. I com I would completely rage against anyone who I don't like nation building.

I'm consistent on that. I mean, over 16 years on air, I'm consistent on that. But at the same time, you don't want a very bad geopolitical foe. Made up of a bunch of nutcase jihadis, to be able to have the power of veto over the world, you would rather a country that loves freedom and that does not ever want to enact anything like that. You want something like that to be able to offset the tyranny of that theocratic regime.

That is the whole point. I mean, it's insane that it has to be explained to the drivebys, but I know you guys get it. But that's the whole point, and that's what Rubio was illustrating. And I thought that was. I still think that that remains the most important soundbite in the early days of that escalation.

We have headlines on the way. Our partners that bring you the program. It's our friends at Ghost Bed. This is the best bed on the market. I don't know if you love your mattress or not.

So on my new audio series, Love Lately, I'm getting into the conversations we're really having about love, relationships, and our sexual health. Every week, it's me and Dr. Contessa Metcalf, my big sister with the medical degree, breaking down what the culture says versus what the doctor says, and helping make sense of it all. Get into it. Another.

Me and my friends don't really talk about is like how you're having conversations with people about getting tested.

Listen to Love Lately with Lauren La Rosa from iHarts Ruby Studio on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Brought to you by Gilead Sciences.

We're gonna break down some of the economic stuff. We got jobs numbers in. Kane and I were just actually talking about this, and they're very good. But you would know it because that's not what the doomers. The Doomer Podcastosphere wants you to believe.

This is what I mean. This is crazy. In fact, Kane and I were talking about how. And again, welcome back to the show, Dana Lash, podcast chapter and verse the Substack, YouTube, Facebook. Find us channel three forty seven Direct TV.

Also, but I would suggest YouTube instead. The way that it's the way that people are responding to it. It's like they think that we are in the Great Depression. I am messaging killed Republicans. It's always been about the economy.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics has their I'm pulling this up. They have their jobs report out. They got their big old PDF up. And normally, I brought this message, this point to Kane. Normally, when we get, you know, you would get a a good jobs report.

It's revised down, but the last. Two previous months, the revisions added something like what eighty something thousand jobs. The last two months, correct? Yeah, I think even more than that actually.

So this is from the PDF. Total non farm payroll employment rose by a hundred one hundred and sixty five thousand in October, and the unemployment rate changed a little at four point one percent. That's according to BLS. Employment increased in professional. And business services, it increased in healthcare, it increased in transportation and warehousing.

So, a little note on this: whenever previously we had seen gains, gains (air quotes) under Biden Harris, what were those gains due to? Government jobs. They were expanding government, and so the literal, actual employment gains that Biden would brag about were literal, actual government jobs. Nothing in the private sector. This is private sector.

This is private sector growth in October because the wages kept up, hours increased, and wages grew.

So in October, the average hourly earnings, and again this is from the BLS PDF, average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls increased by fourteen cents, or point four, to thirty-eight dollars, over the past twelve months. Average hourly earnings increased by over three percent in October. Average hourly earnings of private sector production and non-supervisory employees rose by twelve cents. It's point four thirty-two seventy-five. The average work the average workweek for all employees on private non-farm payrolls remained.

At thirty-four, little over thirty-four hours in October, in manufacturing, the average work week was unchanged at forty and a half hours. Overtime edged up by point one hour to three point one hours. The average work week for production and non-supervisor supervisory employees on private non-private non-farm payrolls declined by point one hour to thirty-three point eight hours.

So, wage growth is still trying to keep up with the current rate, the current inflation rate, right? But that gap is decreasing. I would say pretty precipitously. The fact that wage growth, according to these last two months and the revisions from this for this jobs report. The fact that wage growth that it has been throughout this whole period sustained is a really good sign, because that indicates what?

When you have sustained wages for a significant period of time, that indicates that your job market's doing pretty well, right? Have a pretty healthy job market at this point, and so. It is that's a that's I mean they BLS when they revised this they added one hundred sixty five thousand jobs in October that was above the sixty what was it about sixty five thousand I think was the is that so it's about one hundred thousand more than they expected right so they had the expectations of like sixty five thousand. And it was a hundred thousand over what they actually anticipated, and then August and September were revised even higher.

So you had, and again, private sector. You because the reason I keep saying that is because I see the left all over. They're trying to downplay the jobs report, saying like, "Well, Biden and Harris had a great," but that was literal public sector. That was broken down in the previous revisions for BLS. It was literally government jobs.

This is not even comparable. This is private sector. That's what they're not telling you.

So, they had a huge surge, and I mentioned this already in professional and business services hiring, and gains in manufacturing, etc. It is getting a lot better.

So, the average, when it was revised, you had the average job, average job gain in twenty six was what eighty six thousand, and twenty five it was ten thousand. That's pretty significant, and there's more industries hiring. There's more industries out there. There's more job opportunities. There was there's more people hiring.

You know, I'll tell you one of the major success stories from the election. Let me pull this up. Was the story of in Texas when Texas was losing everything? It was the story of Beth Van Dyne. I don't know if you guys saw the man the the length that she and T here is a reason why I am going to tell you.

Every House district in Texas shifted left, particularly the majority Latino ones. And in the Beth Van Dyne's district in Texas, she was the one who had kept the swing more manageable than every single one of her peers in Texas.

So the least amount of flips and the the smallest shift was in Beth Van Dyne's district in Texas. That's Texas's congressional twenty fourth district. That was the that was the smallest shift. Why is that? Remember the last time she was on?

What you talk about? Her job fair. She had pioneered a job fair in this district. And it started. What was I mean?

That what she started a few years ago. It started, you know, pretty sizable. I thought even at the time she does a job fair every year, and you have thousands of businesses that are looking for thousands of employees. Didn't they? Did they do it at Jerry's World last year?

Was it Jerry's World or was it the America Airlines Center that they did it in? I think maybe it was because that's how big it is. It's like a it's a stadium sized job fair. And she's been doing this for a while now, and she is super, hyper, laser focused on what the voters are telling her.

So when they say they're worried about jobs, when they say they're worried about cost of living, when they say they're worried about immigration, when they she yeah it was at Globe Life Field this year she is laser focused on it. Her messaging revolves. She doesn't get into any of the influencing, fallus measuring contests. She doesn't do any of that. She is like a female DeSantis.

Her head down, and she does the job, and she gets thousands of people in her district jobs because she puts together this job fair. She attracts all these companies that come in from all over. And it is immensely successful. I think this last job fair, I can't remember how many thousands of people actually got jobs. Thousands of people got jobs in the job fair the year before, and then I think that's might almost double this year.

That's how insane this is.

So that's that. It's a real thing, and she was super successful because she honed in on that message. I mean, sure, she talked about you know the the these other issues, but when push comes to shove, the last issue in a voter's mind is what they're able to afford and the cost of living. That's all goes into it.

So this is a great jobs report. Nobody in the legacy press is going to talk about it. Even the Wall Street Journal was like, "Oh, Friday's report topped economists' expectations for a they say 59,000 job gain." I mean, why does it fluctuate? The unemployment rate they said slipped to 4.1 percent. That's under what economists were predicting.

They were looking at 4.2. It actually fell to barely 4.1. All of the jobs reports, jobs figures for September and August, were revised up.

So. The job market has been strengthening, so now what does that mean? Is that going to alter the Fed's, like their position on interest rates? It's a question for Carol. Is that?

I mean, I get it that they're focused on inflation, that because inflation has exceeded their target. I get that, but what they? I mean, they can't raise rates. For them to raise rates, that would mean the job market would have to fall out. That's not happening.

So, and I get it too. I because I know I'm going to get the tweets or the comments that people are like, "Well, you can't focus, you know, just on one jobs report. You can't just well. We're actually looking at two months of data, and that data is supported by the months of data that came before that. And so that's I think the fact that you're seeing the wages, like I said, sustaining the growth, sustained.

That is absolutely an indication of a very healthy job market.

So, what do you think? That's what we're going to ask Carol about the rates. I mean, I think they're going to raise it. I mean, I everybody's been saying that they're going to raise it when they meet next, and and they can, if the depending on how strong the job market looks, right? We'll see.

But there were, you know, there were the market was. I I know everyone's like, but Dana, Wall Street. Wall Street, everybody's been freaked. Yeah, because you know why? Because they're freaking out over Democrats winning.

Kane, you were going to say something. I'm just going to talk about that.

Sometimes a hot labor market. Can increase the likelihood of a hike from the Fed, and I'll let Carol explain all of that. But because they don't want to make money cheaper for businesses to borrow, because businesses borrow money in order to create more jobs, so if there is a hot job market, sometimes the Fed will raise the rate, and it kind of is you know it's it's counterintuitive to the kind of growth that Americans. But then this comes back to the original thing that I put up: you have a blowout jobs report. And you have people who think that we are living through the second Great Depression, and that is indicated.

Again, there were people who were very negative about jobs in the economy this last election. They were very negative about it. I and again. They, if people think that they are, I also think if people think that they are doing badly personally, then they will think that everything is bad. That might be some of it, but still, there are people.

The legacy press has been replaced with the influencer class, particularly on the right. The rights influencer class is just as bad as legacy press, because they have been screaming at you that the the bottom of the world is going to fall out, that the economy is horrible and everything sucks and burritos are twenty dollars. That's what they've been telling you to demoralize you purposefully. As we move, we have Florida man coming up. Our partners that bring you the program—it's the folks over at Preborn.

Preborn is a great organization that saves babies' lives. They've saved over fifty thousand lives so far this year. Actually, well over fifty, and they want to save more. And the way that they started, the way that this works, is with one free ultrasound. They meet women where they are.

Women that are hearing all kinds of things from society, like they can't—they can't say they can't raise a baby on their own. They can't. They just need to make a an easy decision to abort.

Well, Preborn steps in. They counsel these women. They meet them with love and support and compassion, and they offer them the opportunity to meet their babies before making any type of life changing decision. And that ultrasound is powerful because, for the most part, when a woman hears her baby's heartbeat, that baby's chance at life doubles, and that's why they're able to save so many lives. And they don't just stop with a ultrasound.

These are great stewards in Christ to our fellow man. And they don't get USAID money. This is all private donation. They work with these women for the first two years of these babies' lives to make sure that they don't become statistics and they get started on the right foot. It's a gospel in action, folks.

Twenty-eight dollars is one ultrasound. Fifty-six dollars is two. Eighty-four dollars is three. Think about it. You could be saving lives for under two hundred dollars.

You could save five lives. That's insane. That's that's a a gift that matters. Storing up treasure in heaven. Twenty eight dollars is all it takes.

That's where it starts. One ultrasound, and you can reach a woman before the pill does the abortion pill because you have to remember so many of the stuff is done telehealth now. Reach a woman before the abortion industry does. Use your generous gift today, doll. Pound two fifty.

Say the keyword baby. Pound two fifty. Say the word baby, or visit preborn dot com slash dana. Hey y'all! It's Lauren La Rosa, and y'all know I always have the latest.

It's time for Dana's Quick Five. All right, ladies and gents, Taco Bell sales have recovered after the summer cyclospora outbreak.

So you guys can go and get some of that delicious bell. I'm not okay. I don't know if I want to say this again because you guys dragged me for this too. I said I enjoyed Taco Bell, and you guys were horrified. No more, none so much as my family, my beautiful family in the KURV Rio Grande Valley area.

They were like, "Dear heavens, what?" Oh, I know. I'm not saying that they're real tacos. I never said they were real tacos. I said it was a guilty pleasure. It's a guilty pleasure because I know they're not real.

She's for the love of all things holy. They were like Dana, and then everyone. I got more tips on where I'm like. I know I've been to some of those places down there. It's amazing.

I'm just saying guilty pleasure. Come on, don't judge me. Don't judge me. Oof, this is kind of tough. Two dead after being elected and electrocuted in a swimming pool at a five-star hotel.

Pretty sure is I wonder if that fight is going to be four stars. How many stars do you take off for that? Oh, this is rough. Police launched an investigation. It occurred in this five-star hotel in Bengaluru, India.

One was a German national of the two men who were killed. One was they were thought to be on a layover while working on a their flight crew, and apparently they were in the Conrad Hotel pool and they were electrocuted. They're still investigating it, but. They said that one of the men, not neither of them, made made it fully to the hospital.

So they were saying that that there was one of the wives had filed one of the wives had filed a a complete police complaint. Alleging negligence by the hotel when it came to maintaining the pool, because it was apparently they say they say that they had an electric shock while leaving the pool, and that resulted in them drowning.

So what a horrific thing! Taliban sets fire to hundreds of quote unquote immoral musical instruments. In case you needed another reason to hate jihadis, they decided to literally. Instead of a book burning, it was a musical instrument burning. They're part of repression of culture in Afghanistan.

Taliban officials in Khost, that's on the eastern border with Pakistan, they had tons of guitars, harmoniums, amplifiers, loudspeakers. They dumped them from a giant truck into a shallow pit and they they set them on fire.

Now, many of the instruments were seized from weddings and then they were doused in fluid and set ablaze. And there was a huge column of black smoke. There were like almost 700 instruments, and they also destroyed DVDs and all kinds of anything that was musical or related to music. They burned it. Yeah, it's like you know, burn the witch.

That's just crazy. We have oh, Morgantown, that one town where they blew up the whale because they couldn't figure out how to get it out, and it resulted in this amazing viral video. They're celebrating the 56th anniversary. That town, wonderful. It's uh, yeah, that's a hysterical story.

So, I thought it'd be. It's good. I think we need to end the week good, and we need to end it positively because this has been a tough week for folks. And I will tell you this too: Do not allow your life to be so affected by what happens. I know it does get affected, but do not allow it to affect your spirit and your well being.

Be in control of that. You are in control of that. And like I've said, folks, we have been through some serious stuff before as a nation. Even after the conservative revolution in the '90s, there were some major losses. And I said this, and the left got really mad at me for it.

But Barack Obama lost sixty three House seats, and that was just in twenty ten. That actually was statistically a worse loss than what we had. Ours was just the worst for us in the past fifty years.

So, you know, there is good news out there, and there are good people in this country.

So take heart and be encouraged. All right, today in stupidity, let's laugh at somebody. Bernie Sanders cut nine one here. He's talking about his solution is for Congress to raise the minimum wage. That'll help.

Oh yeah, always does. In America today, while the very rich get richer, sixty percent, six zero percent of our people live paycheck to paycheck. Wonder why? And millions work long, long hours. For incredibly low wages.
