The. Welcome to prophecy today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we examine current events in the light of God's prophetic word. And guess what?
We're going to talk about the elections this week. As if you need more information on the elections and who's at fault. But one thing I can tell you is that God is sovereign and He's still on His throne. God's sovereignty means that God rules the universe with absolute power, authority, and supremacy, and that. We know for sure.
Well, we've got a lot to cover today with Ken Timmerman, David Dolan, and Doctor Andy Woods will be on the program with us today, talking about, of course, the elections. Rick, let's get started with our first, Ken Timmerman.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Ken Timmerman with us. He's an author and analyst, and he comes to us from his home in France this week to talk to us about what is going on in the world. Ken, thanks for being with us today. Thanks for having me on, Rick.
It's always a pleasure. Oh, certainly going to get a report on France and what is going on there. A lot for sure in Europe as well. But before we do that, let's start with the big news of the week, and that, of course, is the midterm elections here in the United States. Could you give us your thoughts on the results there?
The horrible midterm elections, the disastrous, catastrophic midterm elections. I hosted a watch party as I do every two years at my home in Florida with about twenty twenty five people, and everybody, without fail, going into the election results was pretty upbeat. We had a consensus; we were pretty sure that the Republicans would hold the Senate. At worst, losing maybe two to three seats, so they'd have fifty. And and even had a shot at holding the house.
Holding the house, boy, were we all wrong. There's going to be a lot of Wednesday morning quarterbacking here, and it's going to go on for quite a long time. But everyone's trying to figure out what actually happened. This was a huge defeat for President Trump. He said, "Vote as if I'm on the ballot." The problem is, it was the Democrats that voted as if Trump was on the ballot, and there there are a number of exit polls done among Democrats, and they said we just showed up to give one last chance to stick it to Trump, and I think that was part of what happened there.
It was a huge defeat for the House Republicans and the Senate Republicans. It was a huge defeat for John Thune, the outgoing Senate Majority Leader, who could not pass the Save Act. To make our elections safer and to ensure that only United States citizens can register to vote and can actually vote, can you talk about people who are looking to "quote unquote" blame these election results on Vice President Vance? One that you mentioned essentially blames it on the war in Iran, but even more so, Israel. Can you talk about that?
Yes.
Well, J.D. Vance says Israel led Trump. To the Iran War, and the Iran War was a cause of the electoral defeats. There's a clear divide, Rick, now appearing inside the Trump White House.
Some people have said that Marco Rubio will resign shortly so he can run for president.
Now that JD Vance has kind of committed himself to this weird Tucker Carlson. Alt right anti Israel blame the Jews kind of platform. This is not a winning platform. He will not win the Republican nomination with that platform. But for some reason, he is doubling down.
I saw a really good comment by Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for George W. Bush, Bush forty three, and I agree with him. He said the problem was not with the war. The problem was with the ceasefire. Americans expect their president, if he goes to war against another country, to finish that war, to win the war, to finish the war, and to get out.
And instead, JD Vance and Steve Witkoff negotiated this absurd ceasefire in June, which, again, Ari Fleischer said is the real problem that Republicans had in. A lack of enthusiasm in voting for Republican candidates.
Well, let's shift then from there to the the war in Iran as we talk about the ceasefire. There, what does this result mean for what's going to take place there over the next period of time?
Now.
Well, the Iranian regime is clearly gloating over the Republican defeat. They say this is the end of Trumpism or the twilight of Trumpism, as one conservative daily put it in Tehran. They think that Trump is going to leave the Persian Gulf with his tail between his legs, just as Ronald Reagan left Beirut. I talked about this last week. And by the way, the guy who believes this is Mosun Raisi, and he believed that in 1983.
Beirut, and today he believes that that Trump is going to leave with his tail between his legs. That's the kind of guy that he is. He is the number two of the regime. He was in Moscow this week meeting with Vladimir Putin. We have learned new information.
About Russian arms sales to Iran, Putin had been trying to tell Trump, "Oh no, I'm not really supporting Iran. It's not true." Well, he is, and now we have the customs documents to prove it. There's been an independent investigation of Russian customs documents showing the arms sales to Iran. And remember, Mosun Resai, he is also the guy who is the father of Iran's missile programs. He is the missile man.
I write about him a lot in my 2005 book Countdown to Crisis. But he's now in charge, and the Iranians are now threatening to attack three Ukrainian cities if the U.S. and Israel relaunch the war against them. Ukrainian cities, get that—they are within missile range, that's for sure. But they want to spread this war worldwide.
Very interesting, Ken. You talk about a worldwide war, and we look at the Iranian allies, and Russia is working with them, but China as well, and also in unconventional ways.
Well, you know, Rick, I've covered the Chinese for almost 40 years as a defense correspondent. Earlier on in the 80s and the 90s, and I can tell you one thing consistently: the Chinese always lie. They always dissemble. Oh, we're not selling any missiles to Iran. As you show them pictures of their own silkworm missiles that are being used by the Iranians in in various wars, so the Chinese are telling us they're not helping Iran, but they are helping.
Iran. They helped. They are the ones who built the uranium hexafluoride conversion plant, which allows Iran to actually enrich uranium. They built it in the 1990s. Denied it for years.
So the Chinese have a very deep, long-standing relationship with the Iranian regime. And now, what they're doing, Rick, is even more insidious. They are allowing People like Neville Roy Singham, who's a an American billionaire, but who has gone to Shanghai. He's married to the woman who started Code Pink. Her name is Jody Evans, and she's an absolutely miserable human being.
And they have billions of dollars that they are pouring into a network of left wing, anti American organizations, antifa related organizations. Things called the People's Forum, Breakthrough News, Tricontinental Institute for Social Research. The list goes on and on. They are against data centers here in the United States, but they are also against you know Republicans in general. They're trying to subvert the Trump agenda, and this is all happening from.
Chinese soil in Shanghai.
So you can say, "Well, oh, the Chinese government is not involved. This is just a private citizen." There's no such thing as a private citizen in China, especially one who gets involved in politics.
So, by my bet is that Neville Roy Singham is a ringer for the Chinese regime in attacking America without firing a single bullet. Final question, Ken. As we leave you, we want to talk about Europe. That's where you are right now. You are in France.
You've got the riots going on there, and you've also got the situation with Russia and Ukraine. Could you give us an update from Europe?
Well, the French riots continue. The Ministry of Interior has finally gotten the riot police onto the streets, so they have ensured that there has been less damage recently. On Friday, Rick, I took a tour through Nice. I had just landed in Nice from Florida to come here and pick our olives this season, and so we we drove through Nice for over an hour, and there was no sign anywhere, Rick, of any kind of damage from these. Demonstrations that had.
Going into riots in other cities, and these they seem to be pretty much under control. They're coming back out today, so there'll be a new round of protests today throughout France. Lyon is going to get hard hit. Marseille will get hard hit. And here's the funny thing: is that you've got the leader on the left, Mélenchon, who is a former communist.
He's a hard left guy. He wants to be president. I've talked about him several times on this show. One of his main platforms. In running for president next year, is to pull France out of NATO.
Which you know that's kind of familiar. De Gaulle pulled France out of NATO, but not completely. He pulled France out of the Unified Command, but stayed. Kind of, sort of inside the NATO structure. Manuel Chong wants to pull France out of NATO entirely.
Now, here's a one thing that I would point out is that we have all failed, Rick, in the post-Cold War era. The United States basically fueled Russian expansionism and Russian paranoia by encircling them with NATO. Huge mistakes made by Bush for. 41, who was supposed to be the foreign policy genius, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama, and the worst of all of them was Biden, who called Putin a murderer and a dictator. That's not how you create stability in the world.
So I think there is certainly room for a new. Post post Cold War security arrangement. President Trump has been talking about this. He just met with Putin's special envoy for the Ukraine peace deal, and Trump is suggesting that there could be a Europe-wide agreement, something that really changes the entire security structure in Europe. I think there's room for that.
It's something that's very very needed. We have failed dramatically over the past forty years, but let me just. Go back to the French for one second, Rick. There are going to be more demonstrations. They're not going to be over.
The students love to protest. It's a lot of fun as long as they don't get their head to act. But the French have got a real problem. They've run out of other people's money, and they're finding that their own is insufficient to pay the bills. Ken Timmerman for prophecy today.
Ken, as always, we appreciate your insight. Thanks so much. Thank you, Rick. God bless. Great job, as always, Ken.
And you know, I'm thinking that you know we all thought that with President Trump in office that everything was going to work out and everything was going to be okay. But we can see how quickly things change. God has supreme control. He has the power and wisdom to orchestrate all events, nature and human history to fulfill His plans. No plan or power can stop His ultimate purpose, and that's Job 40.
Two, two.
Well, we've got a lot to cover. We've got to take a break, and we're going to go to our Middle East news update with David Dolan right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. I'm Ruth Kramer with Mission Network News. Midterm elections in the United States this week gave the Democratic Party the majority in both chambers of the legislative branch. Political reversals like this can lead to strong emotions on all sides.
But Brad Hutchcraft of Hutchcraft Ministries points believers in Christ to our foundations. Our orders are clear: we are to be gospel people, shining Jesus' light wherever we go. Wherever you call home, consider whether you've. Placed your hopes in political leaders. No matter where you're at, coming off in an election, to remember that our hope is in Jesus.
That He is the Messiah. We are not. Rather, seek to represent Jesus, not a political party, in what you say and do. More encouragements from God's Word can be found in the full story at our website. In France, is bracing for another round of protests as schools reopen this week.
For Anna Masimi with Far FM, a partner of Transworld Radio, the unrest raises questions about France's fading Christian identity. People that were like, "Who's that Jesus? What you're talking about?" And I mean, we have cathedrals everywhere, churches everywhere, old buildings that are 500 years old, and people just pass by and don't even realize what it is anymore. Far FM shares the gospel in France through radio. God is using their programs to reach French people, even those who once opposed Christ.
Mosimi offers perspective from a local pastor. People try to say, you know, France is a post-Christian country, and this pastor said the opposite. He was like, "We are in a pre-revival country." Pray today for spiritual revival in France. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of One Way Ministries. We're listener-supported by people just like you.

Welcome back to Prophecy Today Radio, the program that looks at current events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Well, this is our Middle East news update. We look at news coming out of the Middle East in general, but Israel in particular. To do that, we have author and journalist Dave Dolan. Dave, thanks for being with us today. Oh, it's a blessing, Rick.
Well, Dave, the elections here in the United States—we've been talking about that on this program. It's had a big impact in Israel as well. Can you talk about the news coming out of Israel this week, especially as it concerns the elections?
Well, yes, it was obviously a massive rebuke of President Trump and his Republican Party, and frankly, of—I don't think so much of the war itself, but of the way the war against Iran has been conducted, and that's a strong feeling in Israel. But of course. The main impact in Israel is how will it affect the formation of the next Israeli government, and tomorrow, Rick, on Sunday, which of course is the first day of the work week in Israel, as you know, the president has met with all the parties that made it into the eleven parties that made it into the new Knesset. They've made their recommendations. And well over half, Rick, have endorsed Gadi Eisenkot, the former chief of staff.
Moroccan-born member of his new party Yeshar Straight that came behind the Likud by five seats in the overall vote, but the block of parties supporting it is well over sixty.
Now, not all of them are Jewish parties. In fact, the two Arab parties did recommend to the president that Eisenkoff be given the task of forming a new government first, and that, of course, is because they hate Net. Netanyahu and Ben Gvir and Smotrich and the other right-wing members of his government very much, so they said they would back him. But from outside the government, they won't join the government, but they will not vote to topple it in no-confidence votes.
So it will be a minority government if that's formed. The president, President Herzog, was still pressing when he met with the party leaders for a national unity government that would include. As many parties as possible, especially the Zionist parties. And there was mixed reactions to that. The American election results have driven calls for a new unity government, with all sorts of arguments that I won't get into right now.
But that Israel needs to be as strong as it can. That we are being blamed by many Americans for the war, whereas Prime Minister Netanyahu was surprised by Donald Trump's. Invitation to have a second round of warfare earlier this year, after last year's considered to be very successful 12-day war in June, and that it was President Trump that wanted it, and of course, Bebe signed on because they want to see Iran as weak as possible. But now they're afraid they're going to be blamed by many, and have been blamed by many in America, including of course the Vice President Vance. In the next day after.
The route of the GOP. I mean, really, you could call it a massacre—the biggest landslide for them since 1974, when Richard Nixon resigned in Watergate—and they took 55, I think, seats that year. They may do that this year.
So there's a lot of nervousness in Israel about that, but again, that's pressuring some to say we need to form a national, broad national unity government as soon as we can.
However, we still had several of the left-center party leaders, Lapid and Bennett, Lieberman say no, we will not sit at all with Netanyahu in any sort of a government. There is a national emergency, but he is the national emergency, is what. Summer saying the head of the Labor Party, which is now called the Democrats, in particular, Rick on Friday blasted Netanyahu. Said he's a danger to the nation and to our future, and he has to go as soon as possible.
So we'll see, but Eisenkopf will probably get the mandate since he got far more recommendations than Bibi. He just got from his 52 current backers minus the United Torah Judaism Party. Rick, they have dropped support for Netanyahu. They did pledge support for Eisenkopf, so he has nearly 60 Jewish parties now. Eisenkopf does supporting him, so he just needs these Arab parties to sit out.
On the outside, and he's really not looking to form a government with Netanyahu.
So he'll have 28 days to try to form a coalition. Then another two weeks if he can't do it during that time. Then by law, the mandate has to go to the next candidate, which is Netanyahu, of course. And he would have the same period of time to form a coalition government. If neither can do it, then new elections will be set for next March, Rick.
And really, the Israeli public is very much not looking forward to that, and hoping, especially with this war in Iran not settled, and Iran making nefarious noises all week and different actions, and again attacking the Saudis and whatever, that they would have a solid government before then.
So much going on in Israel right now, as we look at the political situation and how it connects to what is taking place here in the United States. And David, I also wanted to talk about the fact that this week, President Trump, right. On election day, actually said that they were going to quit their support of Israel, basically military support. Can you talk a little bit about that? Give us the history behind that.
Well, Rick, this has been talked about for over a decade, and Netanyahu's made clear that the funding, the aid that comes from America. President Trump called it payment. It's not a payment. It's foreign aid. It came out of the Camp David Accords.
I arrived in Israel just soon after those were signed. That's how old I am in 1979. And as part of that, the U.S. pledged. This was the Carter administration, the Democrats, over three billion a year to Israel in military aid only, and almost that much to Egypt for signing this.
Deal, and over the years that was increased for Israel a little bit. It went up to three point eight billion. And by law, though, Rick, from the start, all of that money, every penny of it, must be returned to the United States, must be spent in the United States, most of it for military purposes.
So this money is coming from taxpayers, maybe, but it's going back to U.S. giant corporations, Boeing and Grumman, and all the military contractors. Israel even buys its its army uniforms from the United States, which they could get much cheaper from. Anywhere else, almost South Vietnam or Pakistan or any of the other countries that make clothing, they wouldn't get them from Pakistan, but they might from a non-Muslim country. But by law, they have to get them from the states.
So it's not a foreign giveaway, as it's being portrayed by many of the Democrats. It of course has brought many benefits to the United States defense-wise, etc. Over the years, yet the Israelis realized it was going to have to end at a certain point. It's been a political noose around their neck, in a sense, because it's an easy Point for the left-wing Democrats, and now we have really Muslim radicals entering the Senate. Several that are extremely anti-Israel, not just Al Sayed, but others, and Congress.
About 30 of them are known to be very strongly anti-Israel.
So they feel they they have to do this. They weren't expecting an announcement on the morning of the election on Fox News as a casual statement. That's the way it was delivered, because it was supposed to be ended in two years. They already agreed to that at the end of Trump's term, and so defense contracts have been signed, Rick, to be delivered in the next two years.
Some of them signed two or three years ago, but you know it takes a while to build these things. And they're worth almost ten billion.
Well, Israel now is going to have to either come up with that money some other way, and they've already spent so much more on the war than they really have. It's gone on for over three years that they can handle. Of course, the U.S. has stepped up aid during that time for that purpose, and Trump said we can continue to send emergency aid if it's if it's the case. But again, that it came without any prior notice, and even Netanyahu didn't know that that announcement would be made, and that the president had firmly decided to bring it back to the end of this year, the cutoff date.
They had discussed that, but that hadn't been settled.
Well, obviously now it's settled.
So, but again, Rick, such a dark feeling in Israel that that this will increase anti-Semitism. They're being blamed for the war, and they pushed. America into this unpopular war, etc., which is not the case, but that is what's being said. And then Stephen Miller was appointed chief of staff on Friday, Rick, in place of Susie Wilds, and that's a worry because he's Jewish. He's very hawkish, very strongly advocated the war, and we already had Hakeem Jeffries, the apparent incoming speaker of the House, say.
Something that was quite anti-Semitic, frankly, I won't quote it. But you know, he's already pointing out that he's a Jew, basically.
So, I will see if Schumer stays in as head of the Senate. He's Jewish, of course, or if Van Hollen, another candidate who's very strongly anti-Israel, is elected.
So, the dust hasn't settled there, Rick. But a lot of nervousness over where this is going, and of course. How it might affect the war with Iran, that is known to be rapidly rebuilding its missile production, its other sites. In apparent anticipation of another round of war, Dave Dolan with an update from the Middle East and Israel, particularly for prophecy today. Dave, as always, prayer is needed as we look at this situation—the intersection of politics and prophecy.
Thanks so much. Look forward to talking to you again soon. Prayer is needed, Rick. God bless. And let me remind you: God is sovereign with wisdom and justice.
His rule is guided completely by infinite wisdom, justice, and mercy, rather than. Random or careless whims, and the providence of God, His sovereignty works hand in hand with His providence, meaning He continuously preserves, sustains, and guides His creation toward a purposeful end.
Well, we've got to take a break, and when we come back, Doctor Andy Woods, right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. Only one race. This is Ken Ham on a mission to call the church back to God's Word and the gospel. Today we're finishing a series on creation basics. This last one is found in Genesis eleven.
After the flood, God commanded Noah's descendants to fill the earth. Eventually, they decided to stay together and build a city and tower.
So God confused their languages and forced them to spread out and fill the earth. This event is very important because it explains how our gene pool got split up, resulting in different cultures and ethnicities. You see, the Bible's clear: we're all one race, descended from Adam and Eve, and made in God's image. The reason we look a little different is because of the events that happened right there at the Tower of Babel. That's AnswersRadio.com. Welcome back to Prophecy today. I'm Jimmy DeYoung Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we are examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Started off the program today talking about God's sovereignty, and the meaning of that is that God rules the universe with absolute power, authority, and supremacy.
This is an exciting time to be alive. When you know you look at the verses in God's Word pertaining to God's sovereignty, Psalm 103. Nineteen, the Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all. Daniel four thirty five He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him, "What have you done?" Proverbs twenty one one The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord.
He turns it whenever He will. Ephesians one eleven God works out Everything in conformity with the purpose of His will. This next half hour with Dr. Andy Woods is going to be exciting. You're going to love it, Rick.
Let's bring in Dr. Andy Woods.
Well, that's right, Jimmy. I have Dr. Andy Woods with us. He's a good friend of the program. He's the pastor of Sugarland Bible Church.
The host of the Pastor's Point of View podcast. Dr. Woods, thanks for being with us today. Great pleasure to be with you. Thanks for having me.
Well, we love to have you on as we look at things that are taking place in the world that we call them stage setting events, things that are setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. Of course, this past week the elections took place in the United States. Before I let you go, I'm certainly going to talk about that. But before I do, I want to go to some things that you have talked about on your podcast, and I think one of the titles of one of your podcasts was "The World Is Being Prepared," and we see that now more than ever. Let's start with Technology, as we look at things like artificial intelligence, surveillance technology, financial systems, could you talk a little bit about things that are taking place in technology that are these type of stage setting events for Bible prophecy?
Yeah, if we go back to 1989, which was the first time I led a Bible study. On the book of Revelation at a little Baptist church, I remember dealing with Revelation 13, and one of the fellows in the study came up to me afterwards and says, "I just don't see how this could happen. You know, how one man could get control of the whole planet." And I have to be honest with you at that time, I didn't really see it either. I just knew it was going to happen because God says it's going to happen.
Well, you fast forward to where we are today, you know, twenty twenty six, and we have surveillance technology where everything you do is micromanaged or at least observed. The surveillance society.
So the technology is is there, is here. It's not coming. It's here. I'm not. Anti technology.
We're using technology right now. But we know one of these days, all of this surveillance type situation is going to fall into the wrong person's hands. It's not the technology that's bad; it's going to be used, you know, to enslave the world. And so, you know, putting people in electronic concentration camps, being aware of every single transaction, you know, that they're involved in the move towards cashless. You know, the fact that they can go.
Through your entire city and so in some cases state, and they can assign your home a score based on whether there's a blight, what they call a blight, on your property. I mean, they can do all that.
So there's no need to make Revelation 13 less than what it is. If you go back to some of the older commentators, I've got a bunch of them on my shelf. They kind of had a tendency to allegorize Revelation 13. It's not really saying what those verses are saying, but we don't have to do that anymore because of the advent of technology.
Well, Doctor Woods, as we look at what the Bible says is going to happen in the end times, it does not necessarily say that the Antichrist is going to put this technology into place. He's just going to assume control of it. Isn't that correct? Yeah, I've kind of looked at it as an analogy that the late Tim LaHaye used to use. He would say, you know, it's kind of like the automobile is built.
And the whole structure's in place, and all the Antichrist has to do is turn it on. You know, he's got to you know flick the or use the ignition key or flick the switch. But the structure's already there, so that's sort of what I meant by the world is being prepared. You know, in that particular podcast, and it shouldn't be a big surprise to us because, according to the Book of Galatians, chapter four, verse four, the world was prepared for the first coming of Christ. It says there, when the fullness of time came, you know, God sent forth His Son.
So, if the world could be set up for His first coming. With you know, universal Roman roads and the Greek language in place and Pox Romana, you know, and all of these kinds of things, the world was you know perfectly prepared for the crucifixion, the rapid transmission of the gospel. I mean, if God can do that, which He did in the intertestamental period, you know, even using people like Alexander the Great to bring in coin a Greek, which is the world's one of the world's Richest dialects, because we have one word for love in English, for in Greek.
So even the right dialect was in place to record the New Testament.
So you know, if God can do all of that related to the first coming, it's no big shock that we would see the same kind of process in place prior to the second coming. Just a final follow-up as we talk about technology. You talk about the fact that we're using technology right now to put this program together to put it out, but also that this similar technology is going to be used in the end times. Can you talk about a Christian worldview towards technology?
Well, as I said just a little earlier, I think technology is neutral. It's not inherently good or evil. It's just how it's used, and if I can use it like we're using it right now to cooperate with God's agenda to fulfill the Great Commission, you know, I say let's use it. I mean, you remember the old days when if you wanted to get something going outside the four corners of your church. Get a broadcast going.
I mean, you had you had to have a big budget to get on radio and TV and all that kind of stuff. And I love this technology because it allows little guys, you know, like myself, to have an equal playing field. And we, like you, broadcast our stuff, you know, all over the world. And as long as the door is open to do that, you know, I'm going to keep using it. But I also understand that this world is not moving in the right direction.
There's coming on the scene a one-world leader. Who's going to take technology and he's going to use it to enslave the masses?
So, I guess my point is, it's kind of like water. You can do a lot of good with water. You can quench someone's thirst, put out a fire, etc. But you can also drown somebody in water.
So the water is really not the problem. It's how it's used. And I guess my perspective on it is, as long as I've got a green light, I'm going to keep using it. You know, up to the point of the rapture. Absolutely.
Well, let's move on and talk about globalism. I know that's another thing you talk and point out a lot at your conferences, on your podcast, the move towards global governance. And I think this election that we've just had here in the United States is going to play into America's move towards a global system. But can you talk a little bit about the effect of globalism in the world today and trends that you're seeing?
Well, there are people, and you know, we can identify them today as connected to the World Economic Forum and groups like that. But this has been going on for a long time, long before the we even knew what the World Economic Forum was. But there are basically people, elites, and I remember as a political science student having to read literature like this when I was in college. But they actually believe that the only Only way to solve the world's global problems is global governance, and they they believe you can't solve these problems through what they call the artificial boundaries of the nation state. And I guess our response as Bible readers is this has been tried before.
It was tried on the plains there of Shinar through a man named Nimrod, who's kind of a prefiguration of the coming Antichrist. And God didn't like what was happening, and so He confounded the language at the time, and the builders couldn't cooperate with each other, and so the nation states, you know, developed out of that. And we know that that trend is going to be reversed. The Antichrist will come and put back into place, you know what Nimrod was trying to build, and so that's why we're in this tension that we're in right now. You take a guy like Donald Trump, who's basically a nationalist, and he says, "I want to make America great again," and the whole world hates him for saying that.
And if he had just said, "I want to make the world great again," he probably could have gotten along really well with everybody. But he says, "No, I want to make America great again," and he has the audacity to push certain policies like border enforcement and things like that, which are nationalistic. And that's why you're getting this reaction against him. You know the way that he receives it, and so it's this tension between nationalism and globalism. I think that tension is going to accelerate.
Because the Bible tells us that ultimately globalism, you know, for a season, is going to win the day.
Well, Doctor Woods, I'd like to talk about globalism in the context of these latest elections, and I think we're seeing a move away from the nationalism that President Trump espoused. And I'm certain that there's going to be a more globalist-friendly environment with the new Democratic Senate and House of Representatives coming in. Could you talk about how that might impact the growth of globalism around the world?
Well, one of the greatest straitjackets against globalism was put into effect by our founding fathers. You know, where they divided political power up amongst three separate branches of government. They divided it up amongst the federal government and the the state governments. They gave us unalienable or inalienable rights that come from God that man can't take away. And so, if you were to read.
The United States Constitution and the the Bill of Rights, along with it, the first ten amendments. It it only spans. Eleven pages, and so America stands for limited government.
So, if you want to bring in a Daniel seven verse twenty three, which to me is maximum totalitarian one worldism under the Antichrist, then America's experiment in limited government has to be set aside. And so, I think that's what we're seeing: we're seeing people elected that really. Should not be allowed to do anything. They shouldn't be allowed to teach your Sunday school class, you know, let alone you know be in the Senate, because they just have a world view that's just hostile. You know to God, and we know that righteousness exalts a nation, and sin is a reproach to any people.
And so, I think these kinds of things are happening because America has to inevitably decline. You know, to pave the way for global governance, and so that's kind of how I interpret the election results. Although disappointing to me as a conservative and a constitutionalist, very much part of the. Divine blueprint, because limited government has to step aside in preparation for maximum global government. And certainly, in a way, and this is one of the reasons why God gave us the gift of Bible prophecy, and why we study Bible prophecy is because we do understand this chaos a little bit.
We do understand this is all part of a plan. That doesn't mean we should not vote our Christian worldview. We should continue to have our Christian worldview and vote on that. But you know, this is a this is a scenario that is going to happen in the future. That's a comfort to us, is at least that we know that potentially this is part of God's plan, and potentially.
Accelerating the end time scenario that's set forth in Scripture. Yeah, I mean prophecy. You know, as Second Peter chapter one tells us, is like a light shining in a dark place, and our world is in total political. And spiritual darkness right now, and the only thing that makes us gives us sanity, the only thing that really, speaking personally, gives me sanity, is Bible prophecy. You know that God has a plan and a program, and you're right.
We should be responsible while we're here. But ultimately, you can't vote your way out of Bible prophecy. I I preach voting and write about voting, and we should be salt and light, you know, while we're here. But you can't vote your way out of God's end time scenario. And Bible prophecy tells us that you know what?
There's a better world coming.
So when my candidates don't win, you know, I don't have to spend my airtime, you know, emoting and being an. Angry patriot. I mean, that's not the calling of the Christian. The calling of the Christian is the blessed hope. You know, be willing to give an account to everyone who asks you of the hope that lies within you.
You know, with gentleness and respect, First Peter chapter three verse fifteen. And what hope? What hope is it that we're talking about? We're talking about the fact that a better world is coming, and there's only one subject anywhere that can give you that hope, and that's. Bible prophecy, Doctor Woods.
You recently devoted considerable attention to the growing persecution of Christians, including developments even right here in North America. Are we entering a period in which biblical Christianity will increasingly be treated as something hostile to society? Yeah, I mean, sometimes the question comes up. You know, are Christians going to face persecution and I guess my response is, well, Christians are already facing persecution. I mean, I just read an article about a guy that was sentenced to death in Pakistan for blasphemy, meaning that he held to Christianity, and he he sentenced to death because of it.
So. That's just one example. We could describe. We see Christians suffering in Nigeria under Islam, and we could give many, many examples. What the the church is suffering in Iran, as Iran has turned on conservative estimate fifty thousand, you know, members of its own population and just killed them.
So you know. I mean, our Christians going to be persecuted.
Well, we're already being persecuted. The big issue is: is it going to come here? And I think it's just a matter of not if, but when. And I like to give examples to show people that this is happening. One of the things I talked about in that podcast that you're referencing is the fact that now in the state of California, it's the law of the land if you have over five employees.
And this does not exempt churches. These kinds of laws used to exempt churches, but anyone with five employees or more is now subject to this kind of woke DEI LGBTQI plus sensitivity training, which basically means that you have to brainwash your people in lifestyles that God looks at as perverse, or else the state. Itself is going to come after you, so that's just kind of a a milder form of persecution. But it it shows you the trajectory that we're on, because as goes in California, typically you know envelops the nation. Certainly, the case, and we've been talking with Doctor Woods here about Bible prophecy, about the trends that are taking place.
We talked about these elections. One of the things that I've noticed is that the nation of Israel seems to be on the ballot, and not in a good way. And it seems to be many of the people that won in these past elections were running against Israel, and really they call it anti-Zionism, but it's really just anti-Semitism in another form. Could you talk a little bit about this focus on Israel right now? And maybe what that means in Bible prophecy as well.
Well, the Bible is pretty clear that the world, Zechariah twelve verse three, Zechariah fourteen verse two. Revelation twelve verses six through seventeen. I mean, the world will turn against Israel. You know, in the last days. I just I've always wondered how that can happen here in North America, but I guess I don't have to wonder anymore.
You know, the mayor of New York doesn't believe that Israel is a legitimate state. Just. We just this week we had an election, as you mentioned. A guy in Michigan won the Senate seat, being connected heavily to the Muslim Brotherhood, and he actually his PAC, political action committee, ran an ad. You know, telling everybody the price of everything is up because of the Jews and because of our support of the nation of Israel.
So he was actually running, like you said, against Israel, and he, you know, he won. He achieved his goal, elected office. We now have the administration saying that any foreign aid to Israel is about to be cut, and so I guess we're moving into the pattern. The Lord predicted all nations turning against Israel. Our vice president, who has interjected himself in other, International elections, you know, stood up.
I think for the one of the people that was running in Hungary, all of a sudden says he's not going to back Netanyahu or endorse him publicly because he doesn't get into that kind of thing. Although he did it with Hungary, so we're you know this is starting to become a pattern or a trend, and the world will turn against Israel. And you even see it happening right here in the late great United States of America.
Well, you certainly do, and it doesn't make any sense. And we look at this scenario. I mean, we look at the Islamic world coming against Israel, the tiny little nation of Israel, eight million Jews against all of the Arab nations surrounding them. The values of many of those Islamic Arab nations, again, not our values, is the way they treat women, all different kinds of ways that they, the way they do not allow the exercise of freedom of religion, but they have an alliance. Here they have an alliance here in the United States, mostly with a certain type of politician in the United States now.
But can you talk a little bit about how this doesn't make sense unless you look at it through the eyes of that spiritual component, which says that they are going to come against the nation of Israel because those are God's chosen people? Yeah.
Well, in fact, Netanyahu came here, I think, back in September of this year, and was going to give a talk at our. At the United Nations headquarters in New York City, and before he uttered a single word, you know, before he got up to the lectern, I mean, you can go to YouTube and watch this whole circus. Delegations of seventy-seven countries in the United Nations just got up and left before he said a single word. And I looked at that, and I said, "Well, there it is. There's a coalition of nations.
Of course, we believe that coalition will grow. You know, hating a nation so badly that you won't even." Exchange a little professional courtesy, you know, not even letting him speak, or leaving before he has an opportunity to speak, and so you know this is a a tragic thing to see developing, but it's a it's a prophetic thing, it's a biblical thing because Israel, although it's so tiny on a map, it's only about the size of New Jersey, the devil hates it because through that tiny nation. God has promised to bless the world. One of those blessings yet future, the coming kingdom, which will dethrone Satan once Israel is converted, and Satan would like nothing better to do than to blot out that tiny nation prematurely, as he's tried to do many times in history. You know, we think back of the Book of Esther and what the wicked Haman, you know, developed there in the Persian period to exterminate the Jews.
I mean, Satan has been working like this throughout the ages. And we see it happening today, because he he wants Israel to not exist, so that the kingdom promises can never materialize.
So when we see these kinds of things happening, I think that's the right framework to interpret these things through. We look at the way that the world is going, certainly going to isolate Israel even more so now, especially with the the move, the shift in the government here in the United States. We look at what's taking place in Russia, kind of their desperation in the system right now, which is going to lead to we don't know what necessarily right now, or at least in the short term. We look at what's taking place in Iran. All of these things, you could certainly see what the Bible says is going to take place as the world comes against Israel in the last days, couldn't you?
Yeah, you know the whole scenario is credible. As is what I like to repeat. I mean, you go back, I don't know, fifty to a hundred years, and you would scratch your head, kind of like the technology issue that we were talking about earlier. How in the world can this happen? I mean, there was no Israel a hundred years ago.
There was no coalition of nations. That was hostile to Israel. I mean, certainly the world was not turning on Israel. And you just look at your headlines today. You see Israel in existence, in unbelief, just like God said would exist in the last days.
And you see the world, even places where the Jews have have enjoyed a great deal of freedom and prosperity and freedom of religion and that kind of thing. Here in the United States, you even see. People, as you said earlier, running for office, attaining office, running against the Jewish people, and all of a sudden, the biblical scenario is extremely credible. Dr. Woods, final question: As we look at this scenario, everything that we've talked about today is going to take place during the tribulation period, and that is after the next main event on God's calendar of events—the rapture of the church.
And so, that rapture certainly is becoming more and more imminent. And it certainly seems like if all these things are getting ready to take place right now, that rapture has got to take place at any moment. What should that cause us as believers?
Well, the perfect analogy, and it works so well. You know, this time of the year because we're starting to see all the Christmas songs and Santa Claus and Christmas trees and you know things like that in public and in the department stores. And you know, I say to myself, well, if Christmas is coming. This fast, then Thanksgiving is coming even faster because Thanksgiving occurs earlier on the calendar than Christmas, and so I think that's the right grid to understand these things. I mean, our world is being set up for the seven-year tribulation period, and if that's happening, and if the Rapture of the Church precedes the tribulation period, and it it will, and we we teach and argue that it does.
Then the rapture is coming even faster, and so these signs tell me that I'm living on borrowed time. And rather than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, you know, polishing the brass on a sinking ship. Investing my life into something that's not going to stand the test of time—it's just a reminder, you know, from God that I need to start pouring myself into things that are eternal. And there's really only two safe investments, as far as eternal investments are concerned. You know, the first is the Word of God.
Because the grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our Lord abides forever. And the second is people, because God has set eternity into the hearts of men.
So the more time I invest in trying to study and beyond that obey and teach, you know, God's word, and the more time I spend with people through evangelism, discipleship, you know, even our own immediate families. Child rearing, mentorship, all of those kinds of things. You know, the more I am pouring myself into something that's actually going to last, because those are the only two things that I know of that are going to make it through the fire from this life into the next. What a great analogy! As you talk about investing in those things that will last, God's word, and those around us—our friends, our family, those that are in our sphere of influence—well, Doctor Andy Woods from Sugarland Bible Church.
Now, our listeners can find out more about you if they go to your website, AndyWoodsMinistries dot org. You can find out about you've got your your podcast there, different conferences that you are going to be at teaching. It's all linked there, Doctor Woods. As always, we love having you on the program. Thanks so much.
Look forward to talking to you again soon. Fantastic! Thanks for having me, Doctor Andy Woods. Great job, Doctor Woods. God is described in the Bible as all-powerful and all-knowing, Psalm one forty-seven five.
Outside of time, Exodus three fourteen, Psalm ninety verse two, and responsible for the creation of everything, Genesis one one, John one one. These divine traits set the minimum boundary for God's sovereign control in the universe, which is to say, nothing. Nothing in the universe occurs without God's permission. God has the power and knowledge to prevent anything He chooses to prevent.
So, anything that does happen must, at the very least, be allowed by God. At the same time, the Bible describes God as offering humanity choices (Deuteronomy 30:15-19), holding them personally responsible for their sins and being unhappy with some of their actions. The fact that sin existed all. Proves not all things that occur are direct actions of God, who is holy. The reality of human violation and human accountability sets the maximum boundary for God's sovereign control over the universe.
Which is to say that there is a point at which God chooses to allow things that He does not directly cause. We got to take a break and we'll come back. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung in the Legacy Series, right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. Welcome back to Prophecy Today.
I'm Jimmy D Young Jr. Along with my brother Rick, we're examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, great program so far. Doctor Andy Woods was phenomenal, and this program is so very important to help people to understand that we're living in exciting times. We certainly are, Jimmy, and that is the mission here at ProphecyToday.com as we look at what.
Is going on in the world, and Jimmy, I want to encourage some of our listeners, and we'll put a link on our website at prophecytoday. dot com to go to a video that you and I were involved in. Is the United States in Bible prophecy? We did that with Dad and Jimmy. It really explains where the United States is, and that is especially important as we look at what is going on in the elections.
And if you appreciate that video and what we do here, Jimmy, we appreciate your prayer and support as we continue the ministry. Of sharing the good news of Bible prophecy in any way possible, how we can do it in the radio, however we can do it today. Yes, and we always thank our radio stations for carrying our program and promoting us throughout the week. We're so very thankful. Today on the broadcast, we're going to conclude our study on the kingdom, the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ from a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Remember, this kingdom is. Not now in place. Jesus is not seated on His throne. That throne will be on the earth after the Lord returns, following the seven-year tribulation. Then God the Father gives Jesus the Son His kingdom.
That's found in Daniel chapter seven, and that's where we begin our study today in Daniel chapter seven. Dr. Jimmy DeYoung and the Legacy Series. Go to Daniel chapter seven. Daniel chapter seven, a part of the process of the kingdom being set up, the ancient of days.
Daniel chapter seven. This is an appearance to Daniel the prophet. He writes down what is going to happen, the rule and the reign of Jesus Christ. Daniel chapter seven, verse thirteen. And I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like unto the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven.
And came to the Ancient of Days.
Now, the Ancient of Days is one of the names in Daniel used for God the Father, the Son of Man. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the favorite term for Jesus, the Son.
Now, notice what it says, verse fourteen: and there was given unto him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion. I told you, it's not only a thousand years; it's into eternity, future, an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom, that which shall be not destroyed, it's forever. A kingdom is set up. This is the beginning of the reign of Jesus Christ.
This was God's plan from the very outset. He put everything in place for that to happen. Do you not remember the pattern? Adam and Eve were to rule the first kingdom that Jesus set up. Isn't that interesting?
At the rapture of the church, we get married to Jesus Christ. The first kingdom had the first Adam and his wife rule over it. The eternal kingdom will have the last Adam and his wife rule over it. Because I am the bride, you, we that know Christ as Savior, the Bride of Christ, we're married to Jesus Christ. Chapter nineteen in Revelation, verses seven, eight, and nine, we're married to Christ, and then we go into the kingdom to rule and reign like that first kingdom which was set up.
We rule and reign with Him. By the way, that first kingdom, what was the place of its headquarters? Garden of Eden, and so thus to be consistent, this kingdom will be ruled and reigned over from the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden. I thought the Garden of Eden was over in Iraq, between the Tigris and the Euphrates River.
No, who said the Garden of Eden was over in Iraq, between the Tigris and the Euphrates River? Go back to Genesis. Let me show you where the Garden of Eden is. Modern day Iraq, the location for Babylon, that kingdom that's going to be destroyed. That Antichrist rules over in the last three and a half years of the Tribulation period.
Jesus is going to destroy it one hour. That's certainly not the place where he's going to set up his headquarters. That's a hellhole. He's going to rule and reign from the Garden of Eden, like he established the kingdom in the beginning with the first Adam and his wife Eve. The last Adam and his wife, the Church, will rule and reign.
The pattern was set, and the place was set in the Garden of Eden. Garden of Eden. Garden of Eden is the Temple Mount in the city of Jerusalem. It's always been, always will be. Where'd he get that from, Dion?
Well, for five thousand seven hundred and seventy-two years, the Jewish people have believed it. It's this fifty-seven seventy-two. In the Jewish calendar, you know what their New Year's Day is? Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah in Hebrew: Rosh, chief, Shana, year, first of the year.
And what do they do on Rosh Hashanah? They take up their shofars, are their trumpets. They go to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and they blow a solemn assembly. That's Matthew twenty-four. Remember, I said when he comes back, the trumpet is sounded.
They're in Jerusalem, calling a solemn assembly. Why to Jerusalem? Why do they blow the trumpets? Because they're in celebration of the new year. Year one, they went and started honoring the Lord at the Garden of Eden.
Oh, it was shut up so Adam and Eve couldn't get into it. You know that dome of the rock underneath it is called the foundation stone. Foundation of what? It's the location where God created Adam and Eve. Just go ask any Jewish scholar.
We Christians are Johnny Come Latelys. I don't know where in the world we got the ideas over there in Iraq, the hellhole of the world, the hellhole of the future. You know what? Let me tell you something. Not only the Jews, but the Muslims.
I had an appointment to do a television interview with Sheikh Sabri. He is the Mufti of Jerusalem, highest-ranking Muslim cleric controlling the Temple Mount. His statement had been: there had never been a Jew on the Temple Mount. There was never a presence of a Jew on the Temple Mount. I went over to talk to him because I knew what the Word of God said.
That Temple Mount is Mount Moriah. That's where Abraham offered Isaac. Man, that those were two Jewish boys. And then I remembered that King David purchased the threshing floor from Ornan the Jebusite at that same spot, and then his son Solomon built a temple there. Those were all Jewish people, and those Jews that went up to worship at that temple, they were up on the Temple Mount.
And then Zerubbabel brought fifty thousand Jews back after the Babylonian captivity. The first temple had been destroyed. They built a second temple. Those were all Jews. And in fact, my Savior Jesus Christ was a Jew.
He was always on that Temple Mount. I walked into Sheikh Sabri, and man, I was going to jump right in his face. And I looked up and saw his bodyguard, six six two fifty apiece. I changed my mind; that wasn't the proper timing. But I also became aware of the fact that you know what he said.
He said, "Look, Jimmy, there's never been a Jew on a Temple Mount." He said that Temple. He didn't call it the Temple Mount; calls it a Loxa. He said a Loxa. Listen to what he said. A Loxa dates back to the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve.
Why do you think the Muslim Caliphate, when the Mahdi, the Muslim Messiah comes, is going to be set up in Jerusalem? Forget Mecca and Medina. They're coming to Jerusalem to set up the worldwide kingdom. Because they know it's the Garden of Eden. Have you got Chapter Two of the Book of Genesis?
Look there, Chapter Two. Everybody wants to tell me about the fact that indeed the Garden of Eden is over there between the Tigris and the Euphrates. I want you to know I don't think the Tigris and the Euphrates were very near the Garden of Eden. Look what it says. You got your Bible.
Look at Chapter Two. God puts Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Okay, puts the trees are already in there.
Now look what it says in verse ten, and a river went out of Eden. That's one river. One river went out of Eden, and outside from thence it was parted and became four heads: the Tigris, Euphrates, the Pishtan, and the Gihon. And so, someplace outside the Garden of Eden, it wasn't in the Garden of Eden because there was only one river there. Outside the Garden of Eden, there became four rivers: Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, Euphrates.
Doesn't say how far they were outside of the Garden of Eden. In fact, I don't know how far outside they were. And I would suggest you don't know how far outside they were either, because fifteen hundred years after the Garden of Eden was established, there was a worldwide flood and the topography of the earth was totally changed. The Tigris and the Euphrates could have been very close. They weren't in the Garden of Eden, but they could have been close.
I don't know. You don't know. Nobody knows. We don't know what it was like. But we do know.
Listen, we do know there was one of those rivers in the garden, which is still in Jerusalem, the Gihon River. Just check out First Kings chapter one sometime. David's on his deathbed. He's going to anoint Solomon as the next king of Israel. What does he do?
He said, "My other son's trying to usurp that leadership role." He turned to his wife. Go get the servant. Tell the servant to go down, listen to the Gehon, and get me a pitcher of water. And I'm going to anoint King Solomon. I've got a video I'll tell you about, where the archaeologist, the chief archaeologist of the city of Jerusalem, reveals the story.
We go down to the Gihon. Do you know the Gihon River flowed into the Pool of Siloam? You know what the Pool of Siloam is? That's that location when Jesus put the mud in the blind man's eyes. Say, go there, wash it out.
You'll be able to see. It was a holy water. The Gihon feeds that Pool of Siloam. This archaeologist has a son who's a Navy SEAL. When they were doing the archaeological dig, it's the most extensive dig in all of the world of the beginnings of the city of Jerusalem.
His son got down in the Pool of Siloam. They swam up the Gihon River. They swam all the way up underneath the Dome of the Rock, and there, gushing out of the ground, the headwaters for the Gihon, that one river. The word Gihon is used six times in the Scripture. That's that river in the Garden of Eden.
The pattern is God is consistent. He will do what He did in the beginning to establish His eternal kingdom in the Garden of Eden. What does He say in Psalm one thirty two verses thirteen and fourteen? I have selected Jerusalem. To dwell among my people forever.
What does he say in Zechariah one sixteen? I will return to Jerusalem. I will build my temple because this is my city. That's the Garden of Eden. That's why the controversy.
There will be a temple there. But let me close with this: before that temple. And that kingdom is set up. Satan again endeavors in this seven-year period of time to take over rule of the world. Once Satan becomes the power, he allows the Jewish people to build a temple here in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount.
And what does he do? Second Thessalonians chapter two and verse four. He walks into that temple. Sets himself up above God, because Satan, who energizes the Antichrist, said, "I will be worshipped in Jerusalem, the Garden of Eden." How close is that temple? Twenty eight thousand priests are now studying their priestly duties.
Every implement. Has been made and is in storage. Recently, they completed the construction of the seven branch candelabra, the menorah. They have made four thousand harps. King David said, "I want four thousand harpists to play when the temple is up and operating." Micha and Shashana Harari.
He has made four thousand harps. I just met with him the other day. He says, "When the Messiah comes, we'll turn all of this work over to him." I heard that the San Sanhedrin had been reformed. The seventy wise Jewish scholars who operate the temple. I walked into the yeshiva, which is the headquarters for teaching all these priests to do the priestly duties.
The rabbi's name is Nachman Kahana. I said, Rabbi Kahana, I hear the Sanhedrin has been reformed. He said, That is correct. I said, Well, how do you know that? He said, Because I'm the president of the Sanhedrin.
And I said, "Well, I heard that the priestly garments have been made. Is that correct?" He said, "Jimmy, my garment is hanging in my closet now, waiting for me to put it on and report to the Temple Mount to start operation. My friends, there will be a kingdom. Jesus Christ will rule and reign from that kingdom. It is not now; it will be.
It's an earthly kingdom." But before that, Satan is going to try one more time. He's going to let the Jews build a temple. He's going to send the Antichrist to walk in the temple and claim to be God. That temple is ready to be rebuilt right now. Indeed, the tribulation temple is ready to be rebuilt right now.
All preparations have been made. There's only one reason that they have not started construction on the next temple. The rapture must happen first, and then the Jews will build their next temple.
Next week on the broadcast, we'll begin a brand new study on Islam and the last days. This is one of my most important studies ever. Please join us next week. Dr. Jimmy D Young and the Legacy Series.
We got to take a break, and when we come back, Rick and I will wrap up the program right here on Prophecy Today Weekend. I'm Ruth Cramer with Mission Network News. After nearly two years of student-led protests, parliamentary elections in the Balkan country of Serbia have done the unthinkable: a student-led movement defeated the Serbian Progressive Party in power since 2012. Here is Elena Simonovic Paluga, the national director at Teach Beyond Serbia. This student-led movement was different in the sense that they really have a set of values that they lived out.
They also, like, saw the need to change, and they basically said that the change begins within us. Already, leaders accused of corruption have been arrested, and pro-government media outlets have changed their messages. Pray for Teach Beyond Serbia as they point people to Christ. Paluga believes people are awakened and will be open to. Spiritual transformation.
And the Ministry Transform Iran has launched a free counseling program across the country for victims of trauma and abuse. President and CEO Lana Silk: There's hardly anyone left untouched with hugely horrific stories. Whether it's someone who's been arrested or killed or tortured, how people have been dealt with on the streets with the authorities. Transform Iran's counseling team at Pearl of Persia was already helping thousands of people a year. The question became how to reach tens of millions, many of whom.
Are silenced by shame or fear. This new initiative gives Iranians private access to compassionate, guided support amid widespread trauma, lack of professional counseling resources, and long-standing repercussions of Sharia law. While also gently introducing biblical truths. Pray first of all that they will find hope and healing and God ultimately in that struggle. Thanks for listening to Mission Network News, a service of One Way Ministries.
We're listener-supported by people. Just like you, so by giving to Mission Network News, you enable us to keep the stories of God's kingdom coming. And together, the Great Commission happens. Look for links at missionnews.org. I'm Liz Kramer.
Welcome back to Prophecy Today. I'm Jimmy Young Jr. Along with Rick, we've been examining current events in the light of God's prophetic word. Rick, I started off the program today talking about God's sovereignty, and that means that God rules the universe with absolute power, authority, and supremacy. His supreme control.
God has power and wisdom to orchestrate all events, nature. In human history, to fulfill His plans, and no plan or power can stop His ultimate purpose. That's Job chapter forty-two, verse two. His wisdom and justice; His rule is guided completely by infinite wisdom, justice, and mercy, rather than random or careless whims. And then, of course, the providence of God.
God's sovereignty works hand in hand with His providence, meaning He continuously preserves. Stains and guides his creation toward a purposeful end, and. We can see that through our broadcast partners today: Ken Terman, David Dolan, and Doctor Andy Woods, Rick.
So I have to ask you the question: Do you feel like the sky is falling, Jimmy? That's a great question. I I believe that many of our listeners do feel like the sky is falling. There's there's many things in this past election that you know that we would be concerned about. Many people that got elected that we are very concerned about the.
Views that they espouse, but Jimmy, I was taking my kids to school today, and we were listening to Bible stories, and we were talking about different things, and it got to the point where it talked about what's the greatest commandment. They asked Jesus in Mark, and he said the first one is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. And I was thinking about that in connection with what we do, and loving the Lord your God with all your heart and soul. How do you do that?
Well, you know. Studying His Word, looking at Scripture, one third of which is Bible prophecy, and we look at what the Bible gives us—the gift of Bible prophecy—and that is something that we can look at and gives us assurance during this time. And then, how do we love our neighbor, Jimmy? We share the Word of God, we share the gospel out because we know that is so important. That's our greatest commandment.
The greatest thing we could do is share the gospel. Yes, I love the the passage, and that that passage is actually twice in Matthew. It says to love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, and mind, when and with everything that's in you. Rick, when you know when it when it adds that little, you know, with everything that's in you, that that that means a lot, and I like that. That's very good, and I think as today, and I I'm amazed and and so pleasantly.
Please, I guess that Dr. Woods was on the program with us, and he brought out a lot of things that, you know, we're not to panic right now. This is not a time for panic. Actually, it's the best time of life to be alive, and you know, as you say, we've got to figure out what it is that God wants us to do and to be busy about getting that done. You know, if it's like you and I doing the radio program, if it's others, if you have a Sunday school class, or you get an opportunity to preach at a church, or you somebody needs you to teach a home group, do it, teach it.
You know, make sure your family loves the Lord. Do all that you can. That's your job wherever you are. We hope that people that listen to this program are not. You know, people that are prepping in sort of a way to hide themselves away and protect themselves.
We are the light of the world, as Doctor Wood said. Peter talked about that. We are a light that should be shining in a dark world until the day star rises, and that's Jesus Christ when He comes back to the earth.
So, you're absolutely right. I think this is good. I think we are living at a time when we should be very, very. Encouraging, and you know there are several things that we can do as believers, aren't there? That's certainly true, Jimmy.
And really, in order to share, in order to to talk with your, you know, your whoever is in your sphere of influence, whether it's your at your work, at your job, and you know, with your friends, whatever you do, you need to understand. You need to take the time to understand what the Bible says, and not only to share the. Gospel, but of course, also to be knowledgeable about Bible prophecy and what is going on, and that's what we do here. That's why we are trying to help you understand the times in which we live, understand what is going on in the world, and how it's not. Time to panic, but to understand that this is not time to panic, Jimmy.
But understand that hey, this is what God said is going to happen, and we know that, and that is a comfort to us.
Some practical things that people can do: pray for the elected leaders, intercede, and give thanks for all governing authorities, as instructed by Paul in the Book of Timothy, and asking God to grant them wisdom, dignity, and peace for the nation. Place ultimate hope in Christ. Doctor Woods talked about that. Remember that political parties and earthly rulers are temporary, while the primary identity and hope of believers rests in Jesus Christ and His kingdom, rather than any. Political outcome, heal partisan divides and practice forgiveness.
Worked actively to mend relationships strained by politics, rejecting bitterness in victory or despair in defeat, and choosing grace and reconciliation as outlined in God's holy word. And be salt and light locally. Focus on faithful everyday obedience, loving neighbors, showing hospitality. Serving the community and living out the gospel, which has a more lasting impact than partisan arguments, and then of course communicate with grace and truth. Ensure that conversations about leaders and policies reflect respect and biblical truth rather than reactionary anger.
Guarding the witness of the church to those outside of the faith. And Rick, there are so many opportunities to do that today. No. Which way you voted in this last election? We have a responsibility as the body of Christ.
Rick, great job! Thank you for the work that you did on the program today, Rick, and look forward to being with you next week. That's Craig, Jimmy. We need to remember we're not Republicans, we're not Democrats, we're Christians, we're believers in God's word, and that's what sustains us. That's exactly right, Rick.
As Christians and Americans, we have dual citizenship and dual obligations. We are exiles, strangers in a strange land, who have duties to both our country and also our Lord's kingdom. By taking a temporary sabbatical from partisanship, we can free up time and attention that can be spent learning from God's word and from God's people. By taking a break to refocus and realign our priorities, we can ultimately become both better partisans and better ambassadors of Christ. You know, and this program is all about Bible.
Prophecy, and the next event is the rapture of the church, and with everything that we are seeing currently in this world today, the rapture of the church can't be that far away. Let's keep looking up until. Thank you so much for joining us today. This is Jay Johnson inviting you to join us again next week for more of Prophecy Today.
