I have no speech. Who fires a general manager in between weeks 11 and 12? Like fans are gonna be happy to see that head on a pike. Honestly. The Rich Eisen Show with guest host Mike Hill. Earlier on the show, senior columnist for the athletic Jason Lloyd. Coming up, Fox Sports College Football insider Bruce Feldman. Comedian Tony Rock.

And now, sitting in for Rich, it's Mike Hill. Looking forward to talking to my man Bruce Feldman. Me and Bruce go back like members only jackets and Jerry curls.

A long time, man. Me and Bruce used to talk. You know, Bruce is a huge like hip-hop guy.

I don't know if you know that. Feldman? Yeah. Man, Bruce is like an onion. Just there's so many layers to that. Oh yeah. I've known Bruce for what?

Five years now and I've never heard this. Bruce is down with the culture, bruh. He knows. Bruce is the real deal. That's my guy.

This just changed everything. Bruce gets invited to the barbecue. He can cook at the barbecue. Bruce ain't just invited to the barbecue. Bruce can get on the grill. He can get the barbecue. I'll eat Bruce's potato salad. No raisins in that. Bruce ain't putting no raisins in the potato salad.

We'll have a little paprika. Mike, stop, stop, stop. Are you serious? Like, you're literally blowing my mind right now. Bruce, let the sneakers and all that stuff fool you, man. Bruce is, Bruce is, yeah. See, cause you know, sometimes Siciliano, when he hosts, he drops some gems on. I said, I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot. Cause he and I have talked about this, but Bruce, I never knew. No, you can tell Siciliano got it.

You know what I'm saying? You can tell, you know, he got that flavor. I like, I liked him. I used to watch him all the time on, when the red zone, when they had the red zone on the red TV.

Rest in peace. But yeah, that was, that was pretty good, man. Hey, what week were we in the NFL now? Week 12? Week 12, man.

Week 12. Wow. We were flying. Flying through the season, man. Hey, shout out to the Detroit Lions, man.

Right. I mean like, you know, we talk about fan bases and the fan bases you hate, you love to hate, but you got to give love to the Lions fan bases. Now, that is a diehard fan base that they won't give up on the team regardless, man. Lion fans have been Lion fans for years and they ain't won jack until last year.

And they stuck with their team. So if any team wins, if my Giants can't win a Super Bowl, which I know they ain't going to playoffs, they ain't going to tank and everything like that. I root for a team like the Lions. I want to see the Lions actually get to the Super Bowl and actually win it. And can you imagine, can you imagine y'all going to go to the Super Bowl this year? Lions fans down in New Orleans. Imagine, imagine if the Lions and the Baltimore Ravens get to the Super Bowl this year down in New Orleans, boy, that's going to be the dopest Super Bowl ever, bro.

It's going to be some flame. How about, how about Lions-Bills? Two of the craziest fan bases. Yep.

Lions-Bills, yeah. Bourbon Street will never be the same. It's going to be some Hennessy down there. The Bourbon Street will never be the same. Flaming tables on Bourbon Street.

Jumping off those balconies. Let's do it. Maybe not. Maybe they want to do it.

Maybe they'll ban that because somebody's going to get hurt. Throwing beads at the same time. Wow.

Yeah, there you go. I like the beads I did. Now we're talking. Yeah, I'm single now. Maybe I need to go down there myself.

What you going to do for some beads there? Watch out now. No, man, but the Lions, man, I just, they're good, man. They're just really, there's a, that's a dominant football team in the NFL. Like if you look at that team right now, they are the most dominant football.

There is no other team that comes close. Kansas City, if I had the ranking, I'm going to get to Rich's rankings in a second, but Lions will be number one on my list. Kansas City will still be number two. I know they just lost to the Bills, but Kansas City is still number two.

Still number two, man. Well, Patrick Mahone's not having a great season, but their defense is still solid. Defense is good. Bills won at home. Put them on a neutral field. I always look at neutral fields, not just head to head, right?

You know what I mean? So put me on a neutral field in Arrowhead or, or, or at home or a neutral field. Still, I think Kansas City nine times out of 10 gets the job done.

Bills have won and beaten Kansas City in the regular season. Once again, when I talk about winning and having a better team, we'll see him as better fit, best suited to win the playoff game and get it done when it matters the most. Patrick Mahone's always, who you going, you're going to rely on Patrick Mahone's? You're going, you're going to bet against Patrick Mahone's?

No, no, I'm inclined to not do that. I just don't love the pieces around him. It does look like Isaiah Pacheco is practicing today. Hollywood Brown tweeted out yesterday, a clock.

So that I got to read that that's him coming back soon. They need some speed. They don't really have a lot of team speed and you watch their offense play. I mean, but he's so inconsistent. He's making a lot of rookie mistakes. Yeah. I just, I just don't love the pieces around Patrick Mahone's and Travis Kelce this year.

I believe in Andy Reid though. And once again, the defenses was scary in this scene right now. You know what I mean? And they just seem like on the desk. No, look, they were bound.

They weren't going to go 17 to know this season. They're looking good, man. Bill Steelers, Eagles out there.

That's my top five right now, but you know what? It's Wednesday. And usually the boss of the show has his power rankings on a Wednesday. Obviously Rich is not here. I'm not rich, you know? But Rich was nice enough because this is a show to actually tape his power rankings for this week.

That's right. These are my power rankings presented by sleep number. I may not be in the chair today for the entire show, but I am not going to miss my appointed power rankings round gentlemen, dear professional gentleman. There may be an eye and rich and Eisen, but there are no eyes and power. There's one in rankings.

Listen to the lead pipe. You know what? Oh, there is, that's what you will. That's right.

There's one in there and professional. All right. I can keep going down this road, but I couldn't miss my power rankings this week because we knew going in to week 11, there would be a seismic shift in the national football league's top 10.

And sure enough, my power rankings right now have eight different teams switching spots, only one staying put and one new to the list. Wow. Okay. Okay. Only one new to the list. Only one new to the list.

Okay. Who could that be? And it is your number 10 team. Our neighbors from across the way, your Los Angeles Chargers have cracked the list.

Seven and three. And when I saw Justin Herbert looked the way that he did in that first half, it was like the, the Rick Dalton shift, like there it is. That's the guy that can look like that guy in the Greg Roman coordinated, Jim Harbaugh concocted offense, running it, throwing it, like, you know, cap her neck esque. And just the first half of that game, obviously the second half, we saw some charging happening. Didn't we a little bit, but guess what happened?

They won no ultimate charging. At the end of the day, as Jim Harbaugh said in his locker room speech, as we discussed on Tuesday show with him, they played their best football when they needed it. And they are number 10 on this list. They played some really good defense in the first half. And then at the end of the game, they got the breaks. They're 10 on the list, taking on the Ravens later on, on Monday night to wrap up week 12 up one spot from 10 to nine. I know they needed the, uh, the blood on the uh, the blocked field goal at the end to keep on the winning ways. I'm still taking the Packers here. Jordan love. I kind of feel it's still just scratching the surface.

Maybe you hit it, Chris, on a Monday show with Kyle Brent. He's playing like far, but you know, little, little loose, little loose, little reckless, just rain it back in a little bit and we'll see what happens, but they are what they are. And what they are is a seven and three football team. And they've got the Packers have got the Niners in their house week 12. It's time to put their stamp on things here and, uh, maybe, maybe put a little pressure, you know, high register, little pressure on, on, uh, the lines atop the division. Number eight, we're getting to the higher register portion of our, of our power rankings presented by sleep number number eight up one spot, even though they didn't take a snap Arizona Cardinals.

Oh, interesting. One, the bi-week they won the bi-week. Let me make my first note here. You know that I know they didn't do anything this week and I'm moving them up one. I just think again, when it comes down to it, and I understand that the Packers beat the Cardinals earlier this year, um, I still think they they've got what it takes to win this division right now Rams may get them. Who knows if the Seahawks can put it together. Niners get a little healthier. They'll all be on the power rankings list instead of them at some point, but I just liked the way they hit the buy and they're coming off the buy at Seattle to try and put their stamp on this division.

Number seven, the ultimate higher register team, the Minnesota Vikings. Yeah. You know?

Yeah. I feel you on that last couple of weeks, they were playing in the AFC South and they came out with wins and wasn't pretty crush. These guys, not like the lions are crushing the AFC South, putting up 50 burgers twice against AFC South teams. And the Vikings are, are eating too and Sam Darnold isn't looking like the guy in the five and oh start. Justin Jefferson isn't going off like Jamar chase. He's not going off like anybody of his ilk and they're spreading the ball around.

Yes. And the defense is coming up with big plays, but just when you want to start seeing the Vikings curb stomps of people, they're, they're kind of leaving some place at the curb, but they're eight and two and you never know. See what I mean? They're a higher register seven.

You never know. Number six down three spots. I still believe in them as a threat to win the super bowl. I'm taking the Baltimore Ravens and putting them right here, but they're down three spots.

I'm downgrading them. I'm concerned about these penalties. They lead the league in penalties and penalty yardage. They keep shooting themselves in the foot and, and they're, they're losing games that, that dominant teams like the lions would, would basically say not today.

And this concerns me. They haven't played a full complete game. You know, I guess they did that against Denver recently. So I'm putting them at six because of their quarterback. They're running back some of their playmakers, their coach, and, you know, Justin Tucker missed two field goals in the quarter for the first time in his career. They're at the Chargers, but there's still six top five.

The team that is going to steal one team on this list that stays like a before. Oh, I see a Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes.

Yes, yes, yes. Pittsburgh Steelers are still five. I know that Mike Tomlin said his opinion of the offense was W that's it. What'd you think? How'd the offense look? And he said, W win. That said, Russ was running for his life a little bit, and it was the Russ of, Oh, my first reads, not there.

I got to get out the gate. Russ, the Russ, not seeing the field completely well, Russ, but fourth quarter hits, let me moon ball at Russ to George Pickens. And and they got enough good field position play by their offense to give, you know, a Boswell Palooza and. And beat the Ravens and defensively, I mean, Patrick Queen making plays TJ Watt is defensive player of the year, and they did this without Highsmith. So let's get him back healthy and see where the Steelers can go there at Cleveland. Very winnable game, but it is a short week and maybe they'll be nine and two shortly. They're five number four. OK, you know, the teams that are involved.

I do. And you know, I have been saying all year long, I cannot supplant the Kansas City Chiefs until they get beaten atop this power ranks, power rankings list. So the question is, is how far will I drop the Kansas City Chiefs? How far did you drop them?

Rick here now? When you say that, that means that I have dropped them and confirming it. Now I will tell you.

I dropped them all the way for. Oh, wow. From one. Are you OK? Did you consult Stone Street and Riggle and Paul Rudd before you did this? Your phone was turned off and I tried to call you. Yeah, no, no.

Is that what happened? No. OK, no. Just making sure my phone's on. I'm reachable. OK, I once upon a time heard I'm I'm accessible. Interesting.

OK, great. And that's why I'm kind of likable. That has been said about you. Once upon a time, I heard that.

I heard that on a national. Wow. Broadcast I like comedy show. I'd love to argue with you, but I can't because it's true, which I is that I find him accessible. I just don't want to get your Casey privileges revoked. You know what I mean? The barbecue doesn't mean it doesn't mean I'm not changing my Super Bowl prediction that they're winning it. Oh, they're down three spots because the other teams that are I popped above them are playing much better football, much better football. Number three of the Eagles.

I popped them up three spots. Finally, some respect for the Eagles. I know you've been telling me to put them there the entire time for their winning streak, but now I'm seeing what I'm seeing again out of their defense. I now believe in that complementary football thing for the Eagles.

They're doing it and they're doing it well. And Saquon is unstoppable when they need him to be. And Jalen Hurts is being mistake free when they need him to be. And that defense on the back end, that Quinon Mitchell dude, that kid from holy Toledo. He has been terrific since the buy.

I think he is the defensive rookie of the year for sure. Going into the final stretch number two up two spots. The team that vanquished the Chiefs. I'm putting the bills number two.

Let's go. They are a sum of their parts. I keep saying it, and that's why I asked Kyle Bryant here on Monday. I'm like, hey, is this the best team Josh Allen's ever had?

As a Buffalo Bill, I kind of think so. Now, you know, you want to talk about, you know, roster. There's a difference between best roster and best team.

Okay. True. I think they have the best team. They fight for each other. There's a lot of love in the locker room, which Josh Allen keeps saying.

And suddenly suddenly going into the bind 92, we're talking about Sean McDermott's ability to push the right buttons, not the other way around. And defensively, they're going to get healthier. They're number two on the list.

And number one, best team in football. Just absolutely mauling everyone. See what I did?

Because, you know, lions, when they're on the prowling, they maul people. Yeah. Cheating everybody like Roy or Siegfried.

Which one is it? Too soon? Is it wrong? Too soon. It was bound to happen. Sorry.

I'm going to a very warm place. It was going to happen eventually. Sorry. They're killing everybody, guys. Jared Koff throwing five interceptions one week and then comes back the next week, throws four touchdowns and has a record amount of yards.

You know, in so doing, pop, put them on. Let me get this fact right. I should have had it here right in front of me.

I had it the other day. Here it is. Fifth on the list, all time of most yards in a perfect passer rating game. I could go on and on and on and on about this line's offense. It's unbelievable. And defensively, defensively, they're killing it too. This stat is off the hook. They just beat the Jaguars in total yards, 645 to 170. You never hear that.

The Lions are the best team in football and they are atop my power rankings list and they will be there until somebody beats them. It was Roy who got... Oh, thank you. Sorry about that. Attacked by Monty Ford. I shouldn't. I shouldn't.

It is hashtag two. 20 years ago. Too soon. Lions, Bills, Eagles, Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, Vikings, Cardinals, Packers, Chargers, Commanders are off the list even though Dan Quinn said on Monday, Jayden Daniels is not injured.

It's just that he missed enough practice time during his convalescence that it knocked things a little bit astray offensively for the team when they're playing football. Yeah. Ron Burgundy, Jeff. I don't believe you. Okay. And those are my power rankings.

Before we end the segment, any thoughts on this subject matter? No, no, no. I think you're right. These are the 10 best teams. You think so? In the NFL.

I mean, I did drop the Commanders out. The Broncos are playing well. Just their record, I don't think, merits a placement on this list. We saw them on Monday night.

No Texans. I mean, they kind of beat up on a weekling on Monday. I just don't see enough consistency there where they would beat the Chargers right now. I agree with you.

I agree with you. And the Chargers are the team that just made the 10th spot. I don't have a division leader from the NFC South either.

No, this is the cream, I think, the top 10. TJ, you said you made a note. You didn't like the Cardinals where they were? Yeah, I mean, believe it or not, I would probably put the Chargers over the Cardinals. Okay. Well, the Cardinals, I think you have the 10.

The only reason why I didn't do that is because the Chargers' last loss was in Arizona. Yeah. But you might have missed that because you didn't have ESPN Plus at home.

Yeah, but big deal. But who says I don't have ESPN Plus? I said because you might not have it at home. Oh, I do have ESPN. Oh, you do.

So you just didn't watch the game. It's okay. It's all right. Not many people did.

I don't think that's a big deal. You could say Chargers at seven or eight at the time. My power rankings are good. Terrific. They're good. All right.

I'm going to be back in the chair on Friday. Oh, yeah. This is like a time lapse. They're like talking to us from the future, kind of.

This is great. Even though we're also here. I know. I'm going to get back in my DeLorean and see you Friday. Hey, Rich, can you give us some NBA scores for... Nice.

Yeah, seriously. In the meantime, I just want to remind everybody my power rankings I just delivered were presented by Sleep Better Together. During the Black Friday sale, say 50% on the Sleep Number limited edition smart bed exclusively at a Sleep Number store.

Oh my God, man. First of all, you got to go back and think about like, we were one in 15. We were three and 13, one in 15. When you're three and 13 and one in 15 Cleveland Browns, I know you don't think there's any chance that you will ever lay a hold of something like this. So to go from those days to coming in 92 and winning that Super Bowl and actually somebody handing you that trophy, the most incredible thing, most incredible feeling in the world. Did you ever step in when you heard step in when you heard that Jimmy and Jerry were not doing well?

Or you just your station wasn't that life at that point in time? I didn't think anything would happen, Rich. I really didn't.

I was like, are you joking? You know how hard it is to win Super Bowls and you have a formula that's working. And Jerry Jones, I'm telling you, that's the one thing I'll never forget. Jerry Jones telling me that when I was negotiating with him and I was saying, you know, I'll go to Cincinnati.

It was just, I'm just talking, trying to get my monies up. I said, I'll go to Cincinnati. You get Carl Pickens over here and let's see what happened. And Jerry said to me, Jerry said, Michael, you know, when I see you, I see Michael Irvin and the Dallas Cowboys. He said, I kind of see it like Magic Johnson in the Lakers. He said, what is Magic without the Lakers?

And what are the Lakers without the Magic? He said, you guys, they belong together just like you and the Cowboys. He said, Michael, the best way I can tell you, if a bomb hit Valley Ridge today, that's where we practiced and blew everything up.

Everybody, everything. When the smoke clears, baby, me and you, we going to still be here. So we might as well work this deal out right now. That's what he said to you?

I promise you. I said, this dude is a fool. This dude is a fool. He had me laughing as he was telling me no about my money. That's why you're in the Hall of Fame together.

All right. Welcome back to the Rich Eisen Show Radio Network. I'm sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk furnished by Grainger with supplies and solutions for every industry. Grainger has the right product for you.

Call clickgrainger.com or just stop by. Mike Hill in for Rich Eisen. We're going to get to my man Bruce Feldman in just a second. We just saw Michael Irvin on the TV side talking about his interaction with Jerry Jones. One of the reasons, once again, I don't feel like prime time is actually going to go to the Dallas Cowboys because of Jerry Jones and his ego getting in the way.

But you know what? A man that would probably know something a little bit about that when it comes to the college football perspective and the future of prime time is my man right here, Bruce Feldman. Bruce Feldman, college football insider, one of my good friends. I told them we go back like members only, jackets and jerry curls. We go way back, bro. I know some of your best stories. Some of the stories we can't repeat on there either as well. But I also told them that you're a huge hip hop guy, man.

That is true. Yes. I love old R&B.

That's everything I listen to now. So, see, T.J., you would have never guessed that. Would you tell on how long we know each other? Five, six, five years now, six years. Evidently. Not well, not well enough.

What do you think? I was an Oak Ridge Boys fan. I figured you pulled up listening to Buzz Skaggs and there ain't nothing wrong with that. Mikey, you know, I like Buzz Skaggs. You know, I like Buzz Skaggs.

That's not a knock. I just I didn't know. I didn't know that the hip hop R&B line burn so deep. No, that's that's been everything for me since I was a little kid. So now the the hip hop version is stuck in neutral in the 90s.

OK, well, that makes sense. That's the era. That's the era. Top five right now. Top five.

Top five is old. It's going to be like Run. It's going to be Eric B and Rakim. It's going to be Q-Tip. It's going to be Big Daddy Kane.

He got the job. Bruce Feldman's in the house. And, you know, there's some stuff I like. I mean, I love like the old like Pete Rock, C.L. Smooth. Like those songs stay with me. See, that's the hip hop.

Straighten it out. Pete Rock's a good friend of mine, too, man. That's cool, man.

Let's talk college football, though. You know, I think to go back like the person who I'm like love the most, not hip hop, but as Anthony Hamilton, I think there was a time where like he popped up on your timeline. Wow, Mike Hill knows him. Yeah, man.

Go on to a couple of concerts with Anthony Hamilton. Yeah. Friends of Friends and stuff like that, man.

Yeah. I got to bring you out, man. That's bigger than me than he's hanging out with Ocho for sure. He's a sports fan, too, man. So we got to get him involved and let him know that you are a big fan of his man.

Like, yeah, you like them love songs. Bruce is also a heartthrob. I don't know if y'all know this or not. Well, I mean, that's obvious. He's a heartthrob. Like women at games go crazy when they see Bruce.

We got several photos of Bruce, right? Remember that one story you were telling the other day? Oh, yeah. Somebody like, I didn't know that somebody was looking at me like that until I got off camera and I had texts from some of the parents I know who my kid plays sports with. And they were like, your wife going to have to fight that woman. I'm like, my wife would lose that.

Yeah. She was looking at you like a schnat. She wanted some of the Bruce Feldman. All right, man. Bruce's appearance will never be the same. Hey, that's my man, Bruce Feldman.

I told you he got that swagger, man. Before we get into the primetime thing, let's get into the college football playoff. Rank has came out yesterday. Top 12. Of course, Boise State got a bye.

Of course, they're one of the top conference winners right now. Of course, BYU losing dropped them back to 12th. Anything surprise you about the rankings that came out yesterday? I can't say I'm surprised that BYU plummeted. I was a little surprised that BYU was one spot behind SMU. They beat SMU in Dallas. Like SMU had five trips inside the red zone. BYU shut them down.

They got no touchdowns. You know, what doesn't help BYU is not only did they lose to a Kansas team that, you know, is way under 500, but also K-State, who they whipped, beat them by almost 30. K-State keeps losing, and now K-State's out of the top 25. So really, they're hanging it with that one win at SMU. But still, they did beat SMU head to head. It's not like SMU's best win might be Louisville, and Louisville's out of the top 25. Again, we're like nitpicking on 12 and 13.

You sit there and go, okay, you know, who is going to drop? I think the biggest thing this week is, you know, our crew for big noon has Indiana undefeated going into Ohio State. Huge game. Indiana doesn't have any great wins on their resume. If they sit there and go 11 and 1, just don't get blown out this weekend. I'm not saying they need to win. Obviously, it would help them immensely if they do.

But if they lose 31-17, 31-21, I don't think they plummet. No. Not on a row. Right. Because look, Texas has no good wins, and Texas is sitting there at number three, and they lost by 15 at home, where they were getting blown out of the building by Georgia.

Right. And that was at home. This is a road game, but I think there's just a different aura about Texas. We just saw them in the playoff last year. Last year, Indiana was atrocious. Now, it's not Kurt Cignetti's fault. He wasn't there last year. Right.

But this is how, like, kind of the minds work and eye tests and all those things. Indiana's been the talk of college football this year, obviously, because of the star, 10-0 for the first time ever. Top five, Kurt Cignetti deserves a lot of credit. Curtis Rourke, really good quarterback coming off that injury a couple of weeks ago. And Ohio State, they got a chance against Ohio State because Indiana has the best point differential of any college football team in the nation right now. They're blowing. So, even though they haven't played anybody, the teams that they are playing, they're blowing them out by 30 points a game. Ohio State just lost its starting center.

They're already down the top two left tackles. So, what kind of chances do you give the Hoosiers against Ohio State on Saturday? A little more of a chance now that, you know, Seth McLaughlin's at that center. He was a two-year start at Alabama. He went into Ohio State and has been a terrific, you know, rock for them to just really lean on. As you mentioned, you know, yesterday, he, you know, gets the Achilles injury and they're going to miss him because now they got to shuffle their offensive line. Carson Hinsman, who was their starting center last year, he seems to be much more comfortable as a guard. He's played pretty well out there. You know, if he slides back in, I think part of the challenge for him has been, he's been very comfortable without the responsibilities of making the calls and some of the things that are on a center and he's just playing and being physical.

It's not like he doesn't have experience because he's played a lot of football at that position. They have elite skill talent. The running backs are great. The receivers, you know, maybe even better and the defense is really good. You know, I still think they are, I think they're the best team in the country. Ohio State? I do, you know, because I think they're so, they're so good on defense and they're, I think they're really loaded with skill guys, but the offensive line, which had been playing pretty well since the Nebraska game, now I think that that's like a little bit of a gut check for them to see how they come in because, because Indiana has a good defensive front. They got a transfer from, from Kent State, C.J. West, who's been very, you know, been a really good player. Kamara, who's like a edge rusher, kind of in the mold of Robert Mathis and Freeney, where he's, you know, not super tall, but he's really explosive.

He's been very disruptive. You know, Signeti's done a terrific job, but I still think this is such a step up in weight class compared to what Indiana has been going against and it's home. I feel like Ohio State will rally and win this game. Okay, and I agree with you, Ohio State obviously is the favorite at the shoe. It's tough to beat them at the shoe and they've won possibly because of their defense this year, you think about it, but I don't know if the defense has really been tested as much.

I mean, Penn State's offense is, you know, up and down sometimes and Penn State's always had trouble against Ohio State. The only real offense that they played this season has been Oregon. And they lost. And they lost that game. And Gabriel looked really good. And Gabriel looked really good. So, and I don't think Indiana's offense gets enough credit because of what they're able to do this year. So like, it'll be an interesting matchup to see what happens in that matchup on Saturday.

Yeah, they execute. We had them against Nebraska and they were like surgical against the Huskers. Now the Huskers are nowhere as talented as Ohio State, especially on the back end of the defense, but they're playing with a ton of confidence. And as you said, Curtis Works played a lot of football. He's similar, I think, to Ohio State's quarterback, Will Howard. Both are big guys who, even though they're big guys, don't have like rocket arms, but run pretty well and they're willing runners.

And I think they have a lot of poise because they played a ton of football. Certainly, you know, Curtis Work has pretty good skill talent. He just does not have like a Jeremiah Smith. He doesn't have Quinn-Shawn Judkins or Trevon Henderson, but, you know, he may have a better offensive line right now because of all the injuries that Ohio State's dealing with. Right. Well, Ohio State just got too many weapons of Mecca.

Buka go along with that as well. Quinn-Shawn Judkins, as you mentioned, you know, I got to ask you an Alabama question. Alabama jumps up. A lot of people are making a big deal about Alabama passing Miami in this week's rankings or whatnot because, oh, they beat Mercer. Alabama's resume overall, they should have been ahead of Miami in the first place. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah, I think the committee might have been playing this game where they clustered those three teams in the SEC and were like, well, if we move Miami below Alabama, then we've got to move them below all three. And I don't know if they wanted to drop them that far.

I don't know how much of the rationale of that because, you know, you have different voices in the room. But ultimately, you know, when I look at Alabama, you know, there was a rough night they had against Tennessee where Tennessee has a really good defense. And I always thought Milro didn't look like himself, you know, whether he was banged up or whatever. You know, just talking to people inside the program, like when he's really aggressive, he is a different kind of quarterback because he's so dynamic, so explosive. He's got a good arm. And now, you know, you know, Ryan Williams is a playmaking receiver. I don't think they have, you know, a couple of things that they had when when Saban was really rolling. You had great running backs, whether it was, you know, our guy Mark Ingram or certainly Derrick Henry, you know, Trent Richardson in college was fantastic. I don't think the running backs are quite at that level. And also, you know, last year's team wasn't a great team by Saban standards, but the secondary was really good. Now Caleb Downs is in Columbus.

He is not in Tuscaloosa. I don't think they're as good in the secondary. And they don't have that like super disruptive edge rusher. Like they have a big time linebacker in Jihad Campbell who's playing great, but the defense isn't. They're playing pretty well, but they're just don't have kind of the same. And I, you know, I think because of that, people look at the, like, this is a really good team. I don't think they see it as a great team, but they have a quarterback who can play great. I mean, I hate to compare anybody, you know, to, you know, the Ravens quarterback who's, you know, a generational talent with like what Lamar can do, but just in terms of like how he can put a team on his, he can put an opponent on it on its heels so much because because Milro is so fast and hits top speed so fast and can just turn a six yard carry into a 70 yard touchdown.

That is a weapon. And I think Hamlin DeBoer is figuring out how to best use him because he's way different than Michael Pennix Jr. You know, they had this high level passing game last year at Washington. It's not to say Milro has plenty of arm strength and he's, you know, he's a smart kid who works really hard, but I just think Pennix, they were just different, they were just different, you know, like in terms of Pennix can run. He wasn't like the runner, like he has speed, but not like this guy.

So it's, I think it's just kind of how the pieces are coming together. And I think DeBoer is a great coach. We see him in big head to head games.

Like, I wouldn't want to play them if I was anybody in the playoffs. Kaylin DeBoer is a winner. Everybody's gone. He's won.

He's winning. I mean, just to replace a legend like Nick Saban's, it's tough shoes to fill. You know, I'm an Alabama fan.

You know, I've been in the room with you on Saturdays. When they lost to Vanderbilt, I'm like, hey, Nick Saban was rolled over his grave. And I don't know if Nick Saban's alive, but I'm saying like, that would never happen in Vanderbilt. You know, but Vanderbilt's a good team and people forget about that. Vanderbilt was in the top 25 this year. Vanderbilt's going to a bowl game this year. When you look at Alabama, and I just love the way they've improved since that Tennessee game, especially on defense.

The defense has been shutting teams down. So I think Alabama is going to make some noise, of course, all said and done in the SEC. You might get four teams out of the SEC, four teams out of the Big Ten right now as it stands. Notre Dame, depending on what happens against Army, that's going to be really crucial because if Army wins that game against Notre Dame, there's a possibility Notre Dame might not. Yeah, they would be out because I just think Notre Dame has that loss early in the season against NIU.

And that was a home game. I don't think with Notre Dame's schedule, the best thing they have going for them is a win at Texas A&M, you know, but like Texas A&M needs to go beat Texas and do them a favor later in the year, or else that win carries way less weight because Texas A&M was kind of like riding high after they beat LSU. Well now LSU is like losing games and LSU is not a top 25 team.

So it's like, you're so interconnected with all these teams who you play and you got to ride with them even weeks after you play them to hope they don't fall apart. And, you know, if Notre Dame's 11-1, they're going to the playoff. Notre Dame stubs their toe either against Army, which is possible, or certainly against USC out here, which is possible, then that's going to open up a spot for one of the power conferences. I think it's more intriguing if they lose against Army.

And here's why we was talking about this last night when I was at Fox. If Army beats Notre Dame, Army is going to move up in the rankings, obviously, right? They can win their conference. They can win their conference. And this is the great thing about college football this year with 12 teams getting in the top five conferences, right? Get an automatic bid, right? There's a possibility that Army out of the AAC.

Yep. They would play Tulane in the title game. They'd play Tulane in the title game. That's if they beat Tulane in the title game, then number 20, they could move up even more. No, Army's 19 right now.

They can move up even more. Now say that BYU loss in the Big 12 may hurt the Big 12 because BYU could lose again, right? And even if they get to the title game, say Colorado loses to Kansas and still plays BYU in the title game, there's no guarantee that the Big 12 gets in in the top five. Yeah.

And to get one of those seeds, right? Because Boise State wins out. Boise State wins this conference, right? And they would most likely play that UNLV team, that's 24th.

But if they beat UNLV again, UNLV is going to fall out of the top 25. So unfortunately for Boise, the best thing they're going to have is the same thing Penn State has, which is a close loss. Their close loss is against Oregon.

At Oregon, no, it's not. They lost by three points. They could have won that game. But I just think the strength of schedule of what Boise State has is just different. Where Army's schedule isn't as strong as Boise State's, but like, look, they're going to play Tulane. They're going to play Notre Dame. If they win those games, I don't know how high up they jump, but I would say an undefeated, an undefeated Tulane, I'm sorry, an undefeated Army with those two wins, they're going to have a better resume, I think, than SMU would if SMU won the ACC. SMU's best win right now, if they win that, would let's say be over Miami, who would then be a two loss team. And they still have a loss against BYU.

I just think that I get it. The ACC is a much tougher conference than the AAC, but still you have a team who have they played and you have a team with two good wins. I think if Tulane loses that game, Tulane probably will be 10 and three. I still think they probably would be in the top 25, maybe 20, you know, and I definitely think Notre Dame would be somewhere in the teens. So their resume, I think would be good enough as an unbeaten team. And just to think about this, an Academy team in the day and age of the portal and NIL could make the playoff in the first year is an amazing story.

That is amazing. Navy's having a really good season too. Before we let you go, man, obviously Colorado's a talk right now outside of Indiana. If it wasn't for Cignetti, we'd probably be talking about Prime as one of the coaches of the year. Obviously he's going to get some recognition depending on how Indiana finishes and how Colorado finishes. But how do you see Colorado if they win the Big 12, if they go to the college football playoffs?

Everybody's talking about when we talked about the beginning of the segment, moving on to the end. Do you see Deion Sanders being the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes next year in any capacity? Or is he going to the NFL or maybe even possible to the Florida State University?

Because I know they just gave the coach Norvell a big contract there, but they got money to buy him out. Yeah, the one thing if I was a Colorado fan that I'd be most worried about is that he tries to go to the NFL because a lot of college coaches go to the NFL and they bomb. Well, Jim Harbaugh is not bombing, but Jim Harbaugh, he killed it with the 49ers, came back to Michigan, won a national title and now he's killing it with the Chargers. Jim Harbaugh played in the NFL for a long time. And Jim Harbaugh going back there, he knew what it took.

A lot of college guys, they don't have any experience and they go there and it doesn't work out. Well, Deion is completely different because Deion was a legendary player. He knows that world. I think also, I'm a believer because going to the game last week, Mike, we've been there in Boulder before since last year, but like it's different energy than almost any other place I've been to for a game in a long time. And it's a reflection of him and it's a reflection of certainly some of his star players.

What I wonder about though is when Chidor leaves and when Travis leaves, which will be very soon, it's going to feel very different. And I think if there's an NFL team looking at and going, you know what, I'm going to make, I think Chidor can be a franchise quarterback. Who better to coach him to be the head coach than the guy who's, you know, whatever spent 15 years in the NFL as a pro football hall of Famer. And we see like he can coach like, you know, like people, I think get it twisted and think of a lot of style and there's a lot of stuff that they may be uncomfortable with and they don't realize, you know, I've talked to guys who work for him at CU and the picture they paint is way different than what a lot of people think they're seeing. And so I wouldn't doubt him, but I just, you know, I come back to thinking like, if you're CU, you would do anything you can to keep him. You know, I don't know if there's a dollar. I don't know if there's a dollar figure like for him to make it so prohibitive that he would be like, no, I'm going to stay here as opposed to, you know, go stay connected and be directly involved with my son's development in the NFL.

But I hear you and that'll be a great story. Obviously with LeBron and Bronny and all that stuff like that, LeBron has the power to be able to tell the Lakers, draft my son. Yeah. If Deon goes to an NFL team. The Raiders. That's the only spot though. Like you're talking about, is Deon going to let Chidor go to Cleveland or the Jets?

No, absolutely not. He's going to, he's going to sit out. They're going to pull an Eli Manning or Bo Jackson. Raiders is really the only spot and they'd have to one and done Antonio Pierce, but they have, I mean, they're in position if they one and done. No, but I'm saying they're in position, they're fifth overall and they could just force him Chidor there. And then Deon's the coach. Deon in Vegas sounds like it might be a very good fit. I understand that, but like, can we put the draft order up again?

Because I got to find out where. And all the other teams have quarterback. Jacksonville has a quarterback. The Browns need a quarterback, but the Giants need a quarterback.

The Giants need a quarterback. And they're just saying Chidor is going to be the first quarterback off the board. Travis might be the, Travis might go to the Giants. Who knows?

Yeah. I mean, the Travis might go to the Jaguars. Travis might be the number one overall pick. I mean, any team would want to have the Browns need a wide receiver.

They need all the help, all they can get. So Travis is definitely going to be one of the top picks in the draft. Maybe top three picks in the draft. But as far as quarterback's concerned, the Giants need a quarterback. Giants are tanking right now. The Raiders could still be there or whatnot.

There's no guarantee. Like it's prime going to a NFL team, which great story, obviously, right? Everything that you mentioned, the players, he still resonates with the players of today. They remember his YouTube. They remember how great he was. He still got that swagger. He still has that, that, that persona as a grace and the players love him to death and whatnot. He can go there, but it's no guarantee. He can actually have his players. I get it.

Yeah. His son drafted to that team because other teams are in need of a great quarterback. And they're not just going to like, Oh, that's a nice story. We're just going to let you guys have that quarterback. So Chidor can go there. Obviously there can be some times where, you know, they can make it difficult for a team to draft them. Like you said, Cleveland Browns, I would never let my son play for the Cleveland Browns.

I wouldn't, I would think about maybe not the Raiders. I don't know. Cause sometimes I just think this function carries over. And I think being there is a huge factor though. That, that, that helps. That helps. I think you're talking yourself over here. Yeah. I'm just helping you out.

He's happy. He's got a quarterback right now. Yeah.

Yeah. Drake Mays, the truth. Bruce Feldman. I thought you were talking Kyle McChord now. You're wearing a different hat.

Always good seeing you, my brother. I told him that you're invited to the cookout. You're not only invited to the cookout, you can cook at the cookout and you won't be putting raisins in the potato salad at all. I'm okay with the, with the diabetes. When I was a little kid, I went to one of my, one of my best friends, a house for, for, uh, for Thanksgiving and the sides, I was like, Ooh, these are way different. And so, uh, my mom talked to his mom and she was like, Oh my God, she's putting so much brown sugar and so much stuff in there.

It was like, I don't know if we're going to do that. So yeah, it's called seasoning Bruce. Bruce always good seeing you, man. You too, man. All right. We'll see you this weekend.

O'Shea Jackson Jr and TJ Jefferson bring their unique take on sports entertainment with no contest wrestling with guests like swerve Strickland. Why do you use staples like sensu beans, man? It was just something the concept I came up with. It's an instrument used to punish.

There's just finals and common items. If you see him, you automatically think back to me in that moment. So it's one of those things I wanted to just implement in like my whole character, being the most dangerous man in AW, the no contest wrestling podcast, part of the rich eyes in podcast network, wherever you listen. Not once have I been able to live out my long dream as a young top growing up in Staten Island, New York.

I've always dreamt to do a show like this one wearing a mustache with one of my colleagues in full cloud makeup and a black wig and a red cloud nose. Chris Brockman wearing that on this show, having March sadness. Rich, I'm so sad.

This is the most public yet of my many humiliations. I have March sadness. Can you come give me a hug? I'm so sorry. I'm so sad. Thank you. Congratulations to you for getting more out of the cloud makeup this year than last year. You kind of look like Zach Galifianakis and baskets right now.

Yeah, that's a good one. You kind of look like that angry sort of disheveled clown right now. This is not a good look for me. I disagree for a third consecutive year has finished dead last in the rich eyes and show bracket competition, thus having to wear clown makeup for all three hours.

None other than Chris Brockman. Take that wig off right now. OK, take watching you remove the wig. Come back.

I have March. I'm just going to follow the wave. I don't know where you're going. This is creepy.

Now this is creepy. I have March sadness. Just give me a hug, my man. For a fourth straight year. And as per the specs of Eric Stonestreet, you are dressed as an Auguste clown.

You're like the Buffalo Bills of this contest. Can I get a hug? Sadness.

Anybody know? Oh, boy, the sandwich boards flying all over. What a mess. Come on, Vic. Finish finish up strong. Nicely done. It's love.

Mike Hill back for Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show. Man, when it comes to the NFL, ownership matters, bro. It really does. Big time culture matters.

Ability stability matters. You look at what happened with the Washington commanders, right? They get rid of Daniel Snyder. What happens? Change everything. Changes everything. Players all of a sudden want to go there. They want to play for the scene.

It ages. Jay Daniels was a great quarterback. They just Dan Quinn who got another chance. And but culture matters, man.

Think about this. The Cincinnati Bengals for years, known as a really, really, really, really cheap organization, started spending a little money bringing the right player, Joe Burrow, start winning. Disappointing this year, but still not talking about the Cincinnati Bengals and the ownership issues anymore. Once again, ownership matters in everything. Culture matters in everything, not just in the NFL.

The NBA, the same thing. Be bad ownership. People get in the way matters. You have good ownership. You care about your players like Mark Cuban cared about the Mavericks. True. Guess what?

Turn a franchise that was dormant for years into perennial winners. Culture matters, man. It matters so much, not just in pro sports, but it matters in life. How many times you guys, we've all had different jobs. One of the reasons I love this show, one of the reasons why I love being here and I don't even look at it as a chore, not for the money, anything like that, man, I enjoy being here, filling in for rich eyes because you guys have a culture around here.

You guys seemingly seem like you actually like each other most days. Hold on. We're good actors.

Send the Academy Award to my house. I can tell when it's, I can tell, I feel energy, bro. I'm iffy on both of these cats. It's like a love, man. It's like cousins or brothers, man. You feel like you're a family.

You feel like you're not going to get along every day, every moment of every day. No, but when you come and you do the show, this show for the three hours a day, man, you come out here and you have a really good time. You put it fast. Yeah. And we keep it real too. Like if one of us is annoying the other one, it's very odd. And it's also a respect factor.

And it starts at the top. Rich has given this type of culture, man, that's passed down. I never worked with Rich, even when he was at ESPN, I never worked with Rich.

I remember Rich, of course, obviously respect him, whatever. But it seems like there's a culture that everybody that's in here, man, enjoys working here. So when you're a part of a culture like, oh man, Fox right now, I love working at Fox. It's a culture, man. Del Tufo knows. It's fun over there, man.

We enjoy that, man. Big Fox. Big Fox.

Fox Sports. Mike, they make fun of us, Mike. They make fun of... Well, because you work at your other job more than you work here these days. No, they make fun of the little FS1 and the Fox.

I'm just trying to clarify which is which. What do you mean? You started it.

You started that, Mike. Baby Fox, when I started at FS1. Baby Fox. So I get tormented by these guys.

Because they'll be like, where's your game on? I'm on Big Fox. Big Fox. Baby Fox. I mean, that's since day one in 96.

That's what I've called it. Fox Sports Net was Baby Fox. Big Fox is Big Fox. That's how we keep track of him because he's rarely there. But that's how we do it now. That's what we said over there.

I never thought about it. We'll say Big Fox. We'll say this is on Big Fox because it does matter. Acho really, if something's on Big Fox, he's going, you see how he is. He lights up. When it's on Big Fox, we got a feel on Big Fox.

Acho is going to be on top of his game in rare form. FS1. Well, that's a bigger audience too. Big Fox, bigger audience. But you know, here's the thing, man, that to me, I feel like you got to bring it all the time, no matter who.

It could be a podcast. It can be at the Super Bowl, man. You never know who's going to watch. It doesn't matter how many people are watching. Sometimes it matters who's watching. That could be a big break, man. Three people can be watching, but if one's a CEO of a network and he wants to start off with, bring it, man.

Every single time, man. Show reputation. Show life. Don't be a disappointment like some of these NFL teams. We're going to talk about NFL disappointments coming up in the next hour.

Also talk to my man, Tony Rock, really funny comedian, Chris's brother, but he's making the name of his own. It's coming up on the Rich Eisen Show. Hey, it's Rich Eisen here. Join me and my compadre, Chris Brockman, every Monday on the Overreaction Monday podcast. Rich, Jameis has taken the brows to the playoffs. Dude, why can't they win seven, eight games to finish the year? Why not? I'm not saying it's no why not, but this is a definitive statement that's clearly an overreaction and it's perfect fodder for a show like this one.

I appreciate you coming out of the gate hot. Come react or overreact with us. Overreaction Monday, wherever you listen, it's game over. Over, man.
