Yeah! This is the Rich Eisen Show. My voice is raising an octave. It's so crazy. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. He's Aaron Rodgers, and so you have to let him be Aaron Rodgers. And I don't think there's any question he and Tomlin are going to mesh, right? The Rich Eisen Show.

Don't get me right to that question. I mean, because Mike Tomlin is the person behind this whole thing. Today's guests, 12-year NBA veteran, Jeff Teague. Baseball Hall of Famer, John Smoltz. Co-founder and CEO of Love Media, Jason Flom. And now it's Rich Eisen.

Well, that's right. Welcome this edition of the Rich Eisen Show. We're live here in Los Angeles, California.

844-204-RICH is the number to dial to have a conversation about anything you darn well please. We'll be sitting right here over the next three hours of the program. We got a Hall of Famer and John Smoltz joining us. A good buddy of mine who loves himself some Muhammad Ali and for good reason.

And he's definitely put a lot of music in your ear gate. He's the co-founder and CEO of Lava Media. Buddy of mine, Jason Flom. He was on the program last year. He's on today. Always an interesting chat with him. He talks about life and it's more than just sports when he joins us. And that's coming up later on this program.

844-204-RICH is the number to dial. Lots of win-loss game conversation today you want to play. We got time for you. Good to see you over there, Christopher Brockman. How are you, sir? Good to see you. Hey, Rich.

Great. How are you, man? What's going on?

Jason Feller. What's happening? What's up, Rich? You alright over there?

I just, I laugh anytime they don't turn their mics on. It's not my fault. Good to see you, TJ. That one was your fault, actually.

Yes, it was. I turned it on and you turned it off. Good to see you, TJ. How are you? I'm just glad my mic was on this time because I get dark shot at me when it's off. Awesome. Good to see you.

Good to see you. There's no, there's no, it's, it's a safe work environment. I don't appreciate it when O'Shea Jackson Jr. comes in with otherwise. He says it's hostile and then sometimes he is the hostility. He's as hostile as they come.

I think he just, he sees it's his comments of what he sees. And this is hostile at any rate. Good to see you all here on this program. It's kind of crazy that Aaron Rodgers has shown up.

Yeah. Aaron Rodgers is in Pittsburgh camp. Finally. He is taken reps with the Pittsburgh Steelers today. And then after that, he's stolen a podium. He's slated to speak to the media in Pittsburgh, PA today, as soon as we're off the air today.

So there's that. And, and I'm just, can't wait to hear what he's got to say. I don't know what he's going to say. If anybody asks him questions about where he's been, why it took so long?

It's a, it's a personal thing. Will he share? I don't know. The guy signed his contract yesterday. As you know, we don't traffic in this sort of personal conversation, but when the guy signed his contract, is that a wedding ring on his left hand? Is he sitting there signing his contract? It looks like one. It certainly looks like one. I don't know if it has anything to do with this.

The man is a 41 year old. He could do whatever the hell he wants for this personal life. And personally, I don't care. I just care what happens when he shows up for the Pittsburgh Steelers and he starts throwing with the non ring finger. And you know what I mean? It's generally the finger when if you were to get married courses, the finger that traditionally put a ring on. That's just all we're saying.

Yeah, exactly. I mean, you know, I, as you know, lost my wedding ring in, uh, in the Bahamas on vacation with the family in March. Got it back over the weekend. As a matter of fact, it is not it is not this was no, this was actually purchased over the weekend on my anniversary. Cause I'm a, I'm a sentimental guy. Happy anniversary. The reason why I bring all this up is Aaron Rogers is in Pittsburgh and he's finally there. There it is. There he is signing his contract, looking like a happy man.

Happy fella. It's just only, you know, 10 million and change. I mean, I put somebody in the throat and that's, I understand what you're saying. Uh, 13 million and change. That's it's, you know, a fraction of, of, uh, of DAX annual salary. Listen, what's he got to do with Daniel Jones? Fascinating thing is Aaron Rogers is finally there. It's a practice for the Steelers.

It's mandatory and the Steelers are all there except for TJ watt. And it's like, okay, Rogers is finally there and now it's like, well, is TJ watt a problem? And, uh, TJ watt wants more money and TJ watt deserves the more money and he is earning $21 million this year.

And I understand what we just said about Rogers. Only you'd punch someone in the throat for 10 million. I hear you, but this is the national football league and guys who play in the national football league make a lot of money for what they do. Certainly comparatively to the rest of us mere mortals in the United States of America. And this guy making $21 million a year and his last year of his contract is not going to happen.

Just that simple. I know his bro JJ said, I don't know if it was on patch show or not. He's not giving out any hometown discounts and it's, we've reached a point in time in the NFL where yes, defensive ends guys who sack quarterbacks for a living, guys who put quarterbacks on their ass for a living, guys who prevent this quarterback driven league from driving down the field against their team, guys who improve the backend of the defense because they can get to the quarterback lickety split. These guys are now treating themselves. And I do believe owners of the NFL treating them as if they are quarterbacks. They're beginning to get paid like quarterbacks. They're beginning to act when there's one year left on their deal like quarterbacks because miles Garrett is making 40 a year. There's a ton of quarterbacks in the NFL who are making 40 a year and they're considered dirt cheap. Garrett is making this common year on a four year, $160 million deal. Figure it out 40 a year. He's making a hundred million dollars in his first three years of a contract. And that's what TJ Watts looking at. And I'll tell you this, he may not be there today, but the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to get this thing done.

They're very confident. I haven't heard a single soul thinking that this is going to be an issue. Once the season begins, 21 million bucks a year for a guy who is on par with miles. Garrett ain't going to happen.

That's why he's not there. And I'm sure the Steelers are Jerry Dulac was on yesterday's program already down the road. They'll figure it out. There's no way they're going to let this guy go through the entirety of training camp without getting something that that's his money that both feel are commensurate with each other. TJ watt turns 31 in October, miles. Garrett turns 30 on the 29th of December, 123 million guaranteed a hundred million in the first three years. That's what TJ Watts can ask the Steelers for or pennies more than that. And he'll get it.

It's going to happen. As a matter of fact, I'll say this. What was that noise for?

What was that noise for? I mean, would you rather pay out a hundred and whatever million dollars or have two first round picks? Dude, this is the moment for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They're not winning the super bowl. You could keep saying that. Get a couple of first round picks.

Boost up your time. You could keep on throwing them in the bottom five of the NFL and your powerless rankings, sir. Wait, wait, too early. Powerless.

Okay. Understood the way too early powerless rankings. But right now the eggs in the basket for the Pittsburgh Steelers have 2025 written all over them. They've got a 42 year old guy later on in December playing quarterback on a one year deal.

That's a whole other issue. A year or two of this power. You may have a spot on crystal ball of the Pittsburgh Steelers season and plan for their season. You may be dead accurate by the end of the day about it. But the plan is what it is and what it is is Rogers is their quarterback and Cameron Hayward is right there in the middle of defensive line that they use a first round selection on to fortify instead of getting whatever quarterback that they feel could be the guy of the future or anybody else in the position, whatever wide receiver that they kind of wanted. Or if I'm not mistaken, I'm trying to use in my head was Omarion Hampton still on the board trying to figure that out. I think the Steelers chose before the Los Angeles Chargers. They could have gone in any of those directions, but what they wound up doing is what they did and what they're doing is what they're doing.

I know that sounds ridiculous. If you wrote it out, what I just said verbatim, they took Derek Carmen one pick before Omarion Hampton. This is their plan.

Now they're not looking over the steering wheel saying, you know what? T.J. Watt is not going to just be sitting at home week one when we're strolling into MetLife with Aaron Rodgers and his brothers in the booth for CBS, because I do believe that is the plan for week one is JJ's first game sitting next to Ian Eagle is in MetLife, Rodgers versus his former team and the A.A. Ron that said, come on out from the coast and I'll tell you something I could have FaceTimed you about. There's no way they're going to have T.J. Watt sitting at home pissed off because they're in some contractual dispute saying we've got the cards in our hands to keep franchise tagging you and we'll play.

You're going to play for half of Miles Garrett at age 30 going on 31. That ain't happening. That is not happening. And I know you will keep on sawing over there Chris and to use a literary phrase, tilting at the windmill of one day a team is just going to tell their veteran pound sand. We are going to see say two quarterback A or lineman A via Cone Dios. We're going to use draft picks and we're going to keep on replenishing and we're going to win Super Bowls that way.

You are looking for that team and you're still stuck in the laboratory. But Chris, that ain't happening. Don't you feel that like if a team does that right, you have a veteran who does everything right.

Everyone loves him and they just let him go. Is that going to make other free agents and other players want to go and play for that franchise? If they're winning, yes, they'll want to come. Dude, I see you, which is what I tell my children. I see you.

I understand the way you're feeling. That's just not the way of the world. It is not going to happen in the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't going to be the first team to try it because Rogers is there and they're going to have TJ Watt and they're going to keep him there. They're going to give him a contract and we're going to sit here one day and talk about he's going to retire a Steeler. That moment happens this summer, which is not going to happen now because it doesn't have to happen now. And the NFL works that way. He will be signed.

He will be generationally enriched in the manner that already adds to his generational enrichment and he will be there and he will be gunning for Justin Fields in week one and we will all be watching. And you at the end of the day, Chris, might be proven correct that this is the wrong way to go about it. We can all be right. We can all be right. Yeah, I got except for the fact that I think it's going to work out and I prefer that I'm right all the time.

OK, I got to be honest. I got a black and gold feather pen. He can sign that. It's right here.

Isn't that lovely? Put it on the budget. I'd rather have two first round picks. I know you would. And just and then we'll take a break because Jeff Teague is going to join us in five minutes time to talk some NBA on his birthday, I might add. To do what you're saying, they will have to keep TJ Watt at home, go through the entire training camp, having everybody asking where the hell is he? And then at the end of the day, go into MetLife without him, because he, after all that he has done, all that he has engendered in goodwill within his system, locker room, team universe and city. He is not going to show up for half of Myles Garrett's money when he is just as good as Myles Garrett, if not better on occasion. And is top of his game and will join his brother in the bust room one day. He ain't doing it.

He's got one last shot. And defensive ends in this world of the NFL now are like we are being paid like quarterbacks. You are treating us like quarterbacks. And I don't think the Steelers are going to treat him like Kirk Cousins where you keep on sticking around and we'll keep franchise tagging you. That's just not happening with Rogers showing up today.

I just can't believe it. Rogers is finally there and TJ Watt isn't. But you'll see in week one with Rogers, in Rogers, former place of work. And we'll talk about the other holdouts later on in this program.

844-204 Rich number to dial. Jeff Teague will join us. His podcast is on fire in the world of the NBA and it is his birthday.

So we need to be on time for him. Mike McDaniel with an all time great soundbite about what's up with Jalen Ramsey and why he's still on the team even though everybody thinks everybody doesn't want him there and he doesn't want to be there. So it's awesome. We've got a great show.

When the radio audience returns, we'll be one big happy family with our Roku audience and also with our radio stream.

So we got it all working right here on the program. Excited to talk to Jeff. I mean, his pod is taking off right now. Jeff Teague is hilarious, by the way. If you guys haven't watched the full pod or caught any clips on Instagram and stuff, he's a funny dude, man. And he's got some awesome stories about his time in the NBA.

It's really worth a listen. Funny how? Funny and like he amuses me. Okay. Yeah. That was a good fellows reference. I'm glad you caught it. Glad you caught it. I'm glad I'm going to amuse you.

Yeah, there you go. Also Rich, you know, O'Shea and I, we went to the Royal Rumble in Indy in February. And Jeff Teague sat right next to me. So he's a big- Did you say hello to him there? Of course.

You did? He's a big, he sat right next to me. Does he remember you?

I mean, I don't know. Is he there? Is Jeff there? Is Jeff already on? Let's pop on. He is. There's no reaction.

Okay. Hey, Jeff, how are you? Good to see you. Good to see you too, man. What's going on?

Do you remember TJ? Yeah, for sure. What's up, man? What's going on, bro? Chilling. You good?

Yeah, I'm good, man. You going to Summer Club? I don't know. Jeff, Money in the Bank was 16 minutes away from the crib and I skipped that one. So I don't know if I- Wow. How'd you skip that one? You know, I couldn't get a ticket in time. You know how it is, Jeff.

You know, I went to get those- Nah, nah, nah. You're well connected. You're well connected. I went to get those good Royal Rumble seats that we had and, you know, that didn't happen. So- Oh, yeah, yeah. I seen you at- I didn't get a chance to talk to you. I seen you at Mania. Oh yeah, we did. I did see you there backstage. Yeah.

Look at you guys. I'm just so glad to reconnect the two of you. That's my man, JT. You're memorable. You're just memorable. Are you wearing that Dodger cap just for us being in LA, Jeff? Is that what you're- Nah.

I mean, I like Otani, but nah, I just like the cap. So Jeff Teague is here. We're now checking all the boxes and our radio audience is about to return here.

Twelve years in the NBA. His Club 5-20 podcast is absolutely on fire right now and the former NBA player, Jeff Teague, here on his birthday right here on the Rich Eyes. It's your happy birthday, Jeff. I appreciate you joining. I appreciate you joining. Congrats on everything going on with your pod.

I appreciate that, man. Is that your studio? Is that your pod studio right there?

Yeah. It's one of our little areas. We do one of the shows in here, but we got a morning show. We're doing another little area in our studio. Okay.

So this is part of your media conglomerate that you're building? Trying to. Trying to be like you. Okay.

Well, I'm trying to be like you, so I guess this is a nice mixture here. What's your opinion of the first two games of the NBA Finals that gives me a roadmap of how you think it's going to play out from here, Jeff? Well, being in Indiana, I'm supposed to be a Pacer fan or rooting for the Pacer as I am. I want the home team to win, but I feel like OKC really dominated both games. I know the first game, they had a little blender or whatever happened going down and stretching that fourth quarter.

I think they went small and it affected them and other guys played well. But I think OKC second game showed why they're probably the better team. So you think this is going to be OKC's series moving forward? Is this a roadmap?

Do you think, Jeff? Yeah, I got OKC winning the series, but I think the Pacers are going to win game three. It's like they have game sliders and games bridge.

Like everything goes up to 99 in game bridge. They play so well at home. So I got them winning game three. But I think OKC will probably win the series just because I think they're just an overall better team. But I'm pulling for the Pacers. So they will win two of the final four games, at least Oklahoma City to or they'd have to win three of their final four. Yeah, I got to win in game four, five or six. I don't know.

I mean, obviously, you'd know better. But the Pacers just seem to have something about them where they will they're never dead. They never quit.

They they have a certain style that appears to be difficult to stop. But Oklahoma City does have the kids, I guess. Three out of four, though, would be a very tall order. I mean, it's going to be I mean, I could see it going seven to I mean, they're two really good teams. They play similar styles. But I think like I know game three is going to be tough for OKC just because the environment is going to be so different. But once they get used to it, game four, I think SGA will look really comfortable like he did in game two. But game three is going to be a tough one. They're going to come out with a bunch of energy.

They're going to play with it, going to play fast at home. Game four, you'll see that OKC team that we've seen in game two. We keep talking about NBA superstars, namely the superstars who are in the NBA finals Jeff. I think Tyrese can be a superstar and I think SGA is on his way to being a superstar. I mean, if he wins the title this year, I think we could put him in a superstar category. I mean, MVP finals, MVP champion. I was imagining he would be in a superstar conversation, but I think Tyrese, he had potential to be a superstar, but I think we had too many games like last game where he doesn't show up for three quarters and he didn't play well in the first game, but he hit that magical shot to take home the game. But I think when you're a superstar, you can almost bank what they're going to do every night.

And SGA, we can bank it. He's going to get his 30 points. He's going to be aggressive every single game. And with Tyrese, we don't know if he's going to be aggressive one night. Is he going to, what kind of player is going to be? And when he's aggressive, he's a superstar. He's going downhill. He's making all his teammates better. He has superstar written all over him, but we don't know if we're going to get that every game.

To what do you owe that? Why does that happen for Howard? Well, he's a past first guy.

So when you're a past first player, you kind of are a passage. So sometimes he comes off and you try to feel out the game a little bit. And the playoffs in a situation like this, you need him to go be a go-getter. You need him to go be aggressive at all times, even if it's just getting in the paint and making plays for others. But he just has to be in attack mode. And when he's in attack mode, he's probably one of the top five point guards in the NBA when he's in attack mode. But when he's just chilling and trying to wait for Nimhar and those guys to get going first, you have moments like game two.

And in a series like this with the MVP, you really can't have those moments. I guess you got to tell them, treat each moment like you're down 14 with three minutes to go, right? Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, true. Yeah. I've caught a lot of talking and I was a passive player.

So I was past first and my coach used to say the same thing to me. So I get it. I understand.

But I just think he has the potential to be a superstar. Hey, Jeff, welcome to the world of punditry, man, of commenting, of taking, of hosting, of podcasting. I mean, I have opinions and I never did it to the level of somebody like Halliburton either.

But you're giving your opinion about what you're seeing when it comes to Halliburton. Plus I'm a Knicks fan, man. I had enough of him. You know what I mean?

I'm done with it. I wish everybody looked like the Knicks. The Pacers would be a chance. But it's a meme going around with me and my old Pacers uniform.

I played for the Pacers and it's like Tyrese Halliburton the first three quarters. You found that funny, huh? I cried laughing. Jeff Teague here on the Rich Eisen Show on his birthday. Kind enough to do that before he goes and hangs with his family from Club 520 podcast here on the Rich Eisen Show. Do you think the Knicks made the right move in bouncing their coach, Jeff?

No, I wouldn't say that. I know that came from the higher ups, but I would have liked to hire like an offensive coordinator and like somebody that can make subs for him. Basically just truly run the offense. I think Tibbs, he has a great pulse on the defense. We all know he's a really defensive minded coach.

I've played for Tibbs, so I love Tibbs. And I was a starter at that time, so you never get to come out. And for all the people who think that players want to come out, they don't. They honestly don't. So they want to play almost the whole game. They complain when they do come out because everybody wants to get paid.

And the more you play, the better your stats are going to be. So don't believe the hype about people want to come out. That's just something to complain about.

Be honest with you. Well, I mean, and that's what came out, right? I mean, well, well, I mean, some, one of the many things that came out is that Tibbs plays his guys way too much, doesn't play the bench enough. And that his finally, I guess, epiphany that he had in game three against the Pacers where he's playing Mitchell Robinson in the starting unit, or he's now turning to Landry Shannon, you know, Delon Wright, that, that proved that the Knicks were a better team when he did that. And thus proved the previous version of Tibbs was the reason why he got fired. I mean, I'm, I'm, I'm losing track as to all the narratives of why he got fired.

And you're saying which one actually sticks. Do you think? I think they just wanted a new voice. I mean, one thing about Tibbs, I love Tibbs, but he is going to dictate everything like, you know, usually you let your assistants do some of the scouts and things like that.

Tibbs is a one man band. And I mean, maybe it was just a time for a new voice. Maybe some of the guys who just wanted to hear something different. They might've complained a little bit, but as far as playing time, I'm telling you, nobody wants to come out.

I've been in the locker rooms and people do not want to come out the game. I wish I could have played for Tibbs when I was 27. $150 million. I'll tell you that Jeff Teague here on the Rich Eisen show, who do you think should be the next coach of the Knicks? Who would be a good fit?

Do you think Jeff? Well, obviously you got to go with somebody who Jaylin Brunson is comfortable with. I think that's a superstar for the Knicks. And I think that's a guy who's has the potential to lead guys to the finals. And Jason Kidd, obviously he's coaching the Dallas Mavericks, but he can get to the Knicks.

I know him and Jaylin Brunson have a really good relationship. I think he would probably be a really, really good candidate for the Knicks. My favorite coach in the NBA is M.A.U.

Doka. I think he's the best coach in the NBA. I think he gets guys to buy in.

Like he has an old school mentality kind of, but he's young enough to relate to the younger guys. But you see a guy like Jaylin Green buying in defensively when he was never known as a defensive player and guys like him buying in and all these young guys and these young teams that he's building so quick. I mean, the Boston Celtics have always been a great organization, but when he got there, they became like a championship contending type team. And then next year they won a championship. And the same thing with Houston this year. Nobody expected the Houston Rockets to be this good this year.

Number two in the West, I didn't at all, but that's all M.A.U. getting these young guys to buy in. And I think if he got the next job, it'll probably, with the talent they have on that roster, he can do a lot of good things with that team. That said though, I mean, Houston's young, up and coming. And you know, with the, some would say, parts, pieces, wherewithal, to potentially get bigger and get more championship quality players in right now. You've got the Mavs winning the lottery, Cooper Flags coming along with Anthony Davis. Obviously, Klay's getting long in the tooth. At some point, maybe Kyrie does come back. Would you think the Knicks is a better job if your kid or Yudoka?

Jeff? Yeah, when you see that Tibbs was making $11 million, I probably would say it's a better job. Okay. All right.

But you know, but there is also an owner that could come in and say, I'll pay you that money and you're bounced. You know what I mean? Like that's, Tibbs was hired, you know, given a contract extension last summer. Yeah. I mean, I'm a realist, so y'all got a guy that's a realist on the team. If you want to hire me for a four-year deal for $44 million and then you want to fire me the next year, go ahead. Congratulations. Like, if I was somebody else to do the job, I'd sit back and, you know, go to the beach a little bit or whatever it is. Okay.

All right. So now while we're talking real then, Jeff Teague, you won a championship with Giannis. Did you get the sense at any point in time, at any point in time around him that he would love to play somewhere else before the end of his career?

Obviously you want to ring there. Now he might be in ring chasing mode. Do you think there's any part of Giannis that looks around Milwaukee and says, nah, I don't want to stay here my whole life? One thing he said when I was there is that every year he wanted to compete for a championship. So I took that as far as like, Hey, the Milwaukee's not competing. They can't compete for a championship that eventually he would want to move on. And these last couple of years, they haven't been competing for a championship.

So I'm not surprised to hear these talks. He wants to be great. He wants to be up there with the top 10 players of all time. He want to win more MVPs. He wants to be, he wants to be a multiple time champion.

So these conversations are very surprising to me. He said that when I was there, like I want to compete every year for a championship. So he's about to try somebody, get some more players there, or I can see Giannis trying to move on. Well, but he's going to have to say something, right? Do you think that he has that in his personality to raise his hand and say, not only do I want out of here, I'm going to dictate where I'm going to do, do what the super, super duper stars of this league have done. Will he do it? Yeah, I think he would, but Milwaukee was smart. I just signed TA back and everything will be okay.

I signed TA for a three year deal and he'll be stuck in, he'll be in Milwaukee with his brother. So a way to do it, right? Really? Is that, is that, would it be that simple?

Really? I mean, Giannis and his brother are so close. They are obviously they're brothers, but it's different, man.

They like they're connected. And I know when I was there, TA was there and like he got Giannis going, he really got the whole team going. Like he just one of those great locker room kind of guys. But if you want Giannis to be around, sign his brother to a three year deal.

And that's the same way for any team that might be interested in acquiring him over the next month. It's like Lebron with Lil' Bronny. You might be a Giannis, I'm telling you.

That's the key. Steve Ballmer hears this. Hey man, if I'm an NBA team, I'm done, right?

I mean like do that and then say, you come here and we remake. Would you, if you were the Knicks, blow up that roster to do that for him? Nah, I mean, it's New York. It'll be great for New York.

For me though, no. I like, I like the Knicks team this year. I think they need to get a little, you know, get some depth on the bench, get a couple more players that can, can score off the bench. I think Jalen Brunson had a lot on his shoulders trying to score and command the offense, all that. I think you get a couple more players that can score on the bench, like Jordan Clarkson or Anthony Simons from Portland.

Just another two guard, combo guard kind of guy that can come off the bench and score big for you guys. I think y'all still have a championship team. I mean, y'all was in the Eastern Conference Finals. I was right there.

All right. Last one for you, Jeff Teague, before I send you on with your birthday with your fam. What do the Lakers need to do? Just let LeBron have his tour. They got Luca. They need a center, obviously. I mean, with Luca and LeBron, you always have a chance, but they have to get a center.

They can't play small ball the whole year. If I was them, I would try to trade for Mitchell Robinson. I know the Knicks aren't going to let him go, but that would be a guy I would go after. I seen him want to go after Nick Klaxon.

I heard some rumors about that. I like him. He's a versatile big.

He can switch on the guys and, you know, he can play, you know, up and down with Luca and those guys. But Mitchell Robinson is a force. Defensively, he's really good. Offensively, we know he struggles at the free throw line, but he's a live threat and he's an offensive rebounding machine. If they could pry him away from the Knicks, somehow that'll be great.

Okay. I just, I don't know how the Knicks would, who would they get back? You know what I mean? Like with Dalton, Dalton connect or Austin Reeves. I don't know. Would that, would that work for the Knicks? I mean, I don't think they would give up Austin Reeves, but dog connect, maybe a pig. I don't, I don't know. I don't know what New York's going to have to pay him eventually.

And they got the books are pretty heavy over there in New York. Okay. Well, the one thing that it looks like the Lakers have acquired already is a Greek guy named Ozempic. I don't know if you saw, what do you think he's been running the stairs in the Hills, man, out there.

I mean, he, he looks like he's heard all this conversation about his body and his work is, you know, his workout ethic, you know, like, it looks like he's heard it. Don't you think MVP Luca on the way. Okay. All right.

That's, is that your prediction, Jeff? Yeah, I got, I appreciate the time. Congrats on everything going on with you. I would love to have you on as much as your, as your willing, certainly if you're out here in LA, Jeff, I'd love to have you here. For sure. This was fun, man. We got to talk a little wrestling next time, man.

Well, our truth and cut the dreads off. Yeah. How about that, Jeff? You know, Jeff, I have a place where we could do that. You understand? And you know, O'Shea and I, we have a place where we could talk.

I watched the pilot, bro. See, so anytime you want to come on, we'll make this happen. Let's zoom with Jeff Teague next week. What are you doing? He is down.

Wow. We're booking booking. You're free. Let's book it, man.

I love to talk risks. I love talking balls, man. You know, Jeff, I felt a certain way when the locks got cut last night. You know, I was, my heart was hurting last night plus the serious promo plus the fact he could have made himself a couple of hundred bucks with those locks because people buy them joints.

So I hope he didn't toss them in the trash. Yeah. Yeah. He does.

My hair tells me all the time if I cut him, let her know she'll she'll get sold. So I didn't know that. Yeah. And you can come on and talk hoops with them too, because this is the moment on no contest wrestling when O'Shea learned that Luca was coming to his beloved Lakers areas on the left. That was his reaction. He thought it was fake. I remember watching that. He thought it was fake. And TJ, TJ, that's the look of a clipper fan on the right. Realizing that Luca's coming to the Lakers.

How do they keep getting away with this? You know, so you can talk hoops and wrestling and, and I appreciate you coming on here. And certainly since I know stuff's going on in your birthday world, I appreciate you scrambling to sit down today. Jeff, thank you. No problem. I'll let it come back on again.

Game four. Yes. Let's do it. We'll have your reach out. Thank you. Done. As they say, Jeff, thank you.

I said some synergy here. I liked it. I do like it as well.

Yes. Check out Jeff Teague's podcast club five 20 podcast. It is awesome. Happy birthday to you, sir. Thanks for coming on. Appreciate it. Jeff Teague right here in the rich eyes.

Michelle. I love it. Just Hey, you want to hire me four years, $11 million a year, and then can me and just cut me a check. I'm your coach to show CTC collect the check. That's what they did with Thibodeau.

And that's what I said. How's it aging after the Pacers did to the Oklahoma City Thunder, what they did to the Knicks and what they did to the Cavs and then what they did to the Bucks. And if they wind up doing to Oklahoma City, eventually what they did to the previous three, which is win the series. And then they have a parade in downtown Indianapolis. It's like, oh, okay. So they did it to the reigning coach of the year.

Mm hmm. Or the runner up, right? Is either Kenny Atkinson or the current coach they're going against. And Daniel is right.

Going to win coach. They're probably Kenny action, right? Yeah. Yeah. Probably.

What do your boys in the desert say? It's already been announced, is it not? Or the NBA awards are coming up. They just gave the MVP out. I didn't hear coach there. Maybe I missed out on that. Yeah.

24 25 was Kenny Atkinson. Okay. All right. So, yeah, never mind. I guess I should have paid more attention.

Listen, if they did it, if they did it in each conference, they're taking, they took care of the one in the east and they're even with the one in the west. Well, diagonal one last year, right? That's right.

I didn't know that. Yeah. You do realize if he was a hockey coach, it would be Daniel, right? Right.

Anybody got fired? Just like, just like the former goalie, Guillebert, if he was a basketball player, Guy Herbert, Guy Herbert. Although it's not Rudy Gobert, right? Not yet. All right. We'll take a break.

I've asked you this before, but I'll ask it again because it's the first time that you're here in studio. When you walk around and people see you, which is the movie or play or anything that you get from like, depends on the person. Okay. Certainly a dumb and dumber is a, is a big hit internationally and pick an airport. Oh my God, dumb and dumber.

Oh my God. Yeah. You know, and there's newsroom and there's Gettysburg and you know, you get those people, you know, because of Winn Dixie, which is a little family movie that I, you know, was very happy to get paid for.

Was going Winn Dixie was my God, I grew up on that. I'm going, okay. How about speed? Speed? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Did you get that a little bit? A little bit.

Okay. I mean, I was the guy back in the office, you know, go speed. I, I, I, I remember getting the script and they said, and I died on page 22. I died in the elevator shaft and I, I, I said, you know, the career's in trouble, but it's not in that much.

And the agent said, hang on, there's another draft coming. You die later. I said, okay.

And it did, it came in about, you know, page 80. I did. I'm going, well, okay. All right, I'll do it.

And Keanu and Sandy Bullock. And you know, it was like, okay, happy to do it. And I get into the house and we're in somewhere near here, I think somewhere South of LA. And and I've got, I've got full SWAT gear on, you know, it's like 80 pounds of whatever. And I got to crawl in through a little window and look like Harrison Ford doing it and catching on the window frame and all that. I finally get in. And this, this, the moment in speed is I've got to turn and look at the thermostat and understand that that's not a thermostat.

That's a timer for a bomb and it's three, two, one, and about to blow up. And so I'm going, how am I going to do that? I'm not going to, do I make faces? Do I, you know, what do I cry?

Do I say, what do I do? And I remembered an interview that Roy Scheider did for Jaws and they asked Roy, that moment, Roy, when you saw the shark, my God, I mean, one of the great acting moments in cinematic history, how did you do that? And Roy said, well, I looked down and when I looked over at the shark, I made sure my cheeks muscles were a little up and then I just dropped him. So I said, that's what I'll do.

So I'd looked at the thermostat, cut, lunch, and I have gotten critics that moment in speed, Jeff. I mean, I get emotional talking about it. Yes.

Yeah. Well, I Roy Scheider, I love that story. Oh my gosh.

And it's funny. You say that was right around here. Cause the one Oh five is right up. It was somewhere some little house that they rented cause the one Oh five freeway was just, it wasn't completed yet. And that's once right here, this freeway that's right here. It was used in speed. Yeah. Next door neighbors, 31 years ago today, speed hit theaters.

I moved for the first time 31 years ago, you know, what do you do? Oh my gosh. Great movie. Great movie.

The great freeway. Okay. Now what you're about to hear, I very rarely introduce things this way. What you're about to hear means nothing. Exciting. I build it up and then I cut it down. Right.

The air comes out. What we're about to hit this piece of news means nothing, absolutely nothing. But at the same time, wildly enough means everything because on June 10th, it is now it's now it's June 10th. And the first, let me get this exact date.

The first Cleveland Brown's football game that counts in the standings does not happen until September 7th home against the Cincinnati Bengals kind of a big game. So here we are just a little bit from three months away. Okay.

We're shy. We're past that point on Saturday. This was happening Saturday.

Oh my goodness. First of all, we wouldn't be here to talk about it. We're hyping up, but it would have been exactly three months to the day when the Browns play their first game. So I'm hyping it up by saying it means nothing, but on this day means everything because we're talking mini camp. We're talking 11 on 11, which is what the Browns are going to play on September 7th against the Cincinnati Bengals. It'll be 11 versus 11, unless, you know, somebody forgets to run on the field, but that's neither here nor there. It is now time to get this information. The first snap of 11 on 11 competition for the Cleveland Browns.

The quarterback for that first snap was drum roll. Who is it? Chris? I don't know what you're, you're revealing information to you. I don't know.

Darrell reader 92 through the fan in Cleveland is reporting on the Twitter box. The first true 11 on 11 goes to let me guess, let me guess it's pick it. Dylan Gabriel. I literally, that was going to be my guest. I was just going to say that to be funny. My eyes see. Wow.

That is massive. Unless it means absolutely nothing. It means everything rich, obviously.

Dylan Gabriel, Dylan Gabriel. So what does that mean? You know what it means?

I don't know. What did he win a quarterback room wide contest of rock, paper, scissors, or start bench cut. And we just threw a touchdown to Jerry, Judy. Did he really, how did it look?

Look pretty good over the middle and probably would've got tackled at like the 20, but they went off of them and they scored a touchdown. And then there's another clip, but Jerry also posted miles. Garrett would have absolutely destroyed him into the ground, but then he stopped and let him get off. So Dylan Gabriel being planted by miles. Garrett. Oh man. What would that look like? Here's another one.

Jamari thrash. Would he, would he have, would it be like fully enveloped Dylan Gabriel? Like, like, yes.

We had Cleveland Brown, Russian nest egg dolls. Would you be able to snap open the miles? Garrett one and place the Dylan Gabriel one inside and snap him open. Right? Yeah.

Dylan Gabriel listed five 11, two Oh one. Oh God. Wow. Miles.

Garrett hitting a five 11, 201 pound quarterback should be in all 50 States illegal. That's about what I'm at these days. Oh my God.

What are you, what are you right now? One 51 or two Oh one. Oh yeah.

Yeah. Mike six feet, two Oh one. You're six feet.

Miles Garrett, depending what shoes I have on miles Garrett, six, four, two 72. Oh my gosh. We list our height and weight on the rich eyes and show. We should list your height and weight or your age.

None of them have to choose one. Which one would you choose? You already know enough about you're a mystery. You're a mystery. You sit at home. You got money in the bank.

You're the host of no contest wrestling star of den of thieves three. Yeah. I'm probably trying to get in that myself. So I'm saving up my PTO time for the, when it shoots next year. You sit at home.

You're a mystery. Yeah. Like exact opposite to keep it that way.

We all need to be in that movie by the way. Okay. So Dylan Gabriel choice. There you go. Of the Cleveland brown. He's throwing dimes. Is he really?

Yes. You know what he's doing? He's taking first team reps. He also might've died if miles Garrett hit him.

Well, I'm glad miles is, uh, is letting up. Cause if the grim reaper was coming with the sickle, look out and there'd be a tombstone on the front lawn. That means nothing though. It doesn't really mean anything. Joe Flacco is starting week one for the Cleveland.

I, I don't know about that. Joe Flacco is starting week one for Cleveland bronze. I'm as sure of that as I am of Daniel Jones starting week one for the Indianapolis Colts. It's going to happen. Flacco is going to start week one in the Jones making more than Aaron Rogers.

Just take, Oh, again, I understand it's two years removed. Joe Flacco's tenure with the Cleveland Browns was a frigging meteor in the sky. Guy won comeback player of the year because he was on his couch and didn't even play a half a season for the team. The number, I know he didn't win a playoff game. They got, they got smoked.

I understand what happened in the playoff game, but how many playoff contests did he win in fantasy for people? Maybe. Maybe. Are you kidding me? The number that Thursday night against the Jets where he had, I think 300 yards in the first quarter almost. Oh, right.

Yeah. It was a week 16 Thursday night game. I believe that was fantasy football playoffs. And if anybody had week 17 championship, if anybody had Flacco and David and Joku in their lineup, handcuffed together, they are, they won their chant. They won their fantasy.

And the reason why I bring it up is, you know, this is a reality world. It's not a fantasy football world. If Flacco did that and can bring the same approach, it's not too far gone.

I know what happened in Indianapolis last year, but I got to sit here and think if Cincinnati didn't tighten the bolts on their defense, look out. Flacco in that he played five games the end of the year. He did not play week 18. Yeah, because they benched him because they had to save him up for the playoffs. That's how insane of a run he went on. He went 4-1, including 4 in a row, 1600 yards and 13 touchdowns. That's a pole position.

If I've ever seen one with two rookies and Kenny Pickett trying to get a gig. Two years ago though. It's not two years ago, it's a year and a half ago. Yeah, those six months make a big difference. I mean, listen, I know, I know one year is like, you know, it's dog years in the NFL. I understand. Unless you went near 40. I understand.

You're too old. He's going to get the starting gig. Stupid. But right now, Dilly Gabriel is your starter, right?
