Did you ever wonder? Did you ever wonder?

I do. Did you ever wonder? Why the sun always rises but the stars never fall?

Why dry land is never satisfied by water? And why fire never says enough? Enough. The wonder of Jeremiah's happily ever after. So if you look at Jeremiah 29 11 there's something amazing that you can see that really just blows my mind, always will.

You know, I think most people know Jeremiah 29 11. You know, I know the plans I have for you. But when you look at the end of that, it's translated a lot of different ways. But the way I like to think of it is happily ever after.

That's the plans that he has for you. And the reason I say that is because there's a word that means after. Like when you read in Genesis that after, you know, these children were born, after that, then Enoch lived however many more years or all these different things. That when it says after, there's this period after other events. And so that after is how that actually ends when it says then there's going to be takava. And that word takava begins with a tav, which has to do with the end. And then there's kava, which means to be gathered in, which is my word of the year.

And so to be gathered in at the end is something to shout about, right? It's a happily ever after that we are going to be the sheep of his pasture, and we're going to be there happily ever after. And literally when you think about the word takava, that is very happily, and then after thereafter. So that, you know, that's one wonder just to begin with, but there's another wonder when I think about just the word Jeremiah. And the word Jeremiah means to be exalted by God, but there's an interesting letter.

The way that they did the word exalted, they did a yud and a rhesh and a mem, which usually exalted is a rhesh and above and a mem. So, you know, they saying that that's what that means, but the fascinating thing is the mem is the water. And so to an extent, when you think about Jeremiah's life, in so many ways he was raised above the water, right? He was down in the well, you know, his whole lamentations have to do with water and the pouring out of these fountains and living water and all these different things. But the more I've thought about that, the more I've thought about what he really did was not unlike Peter, you know, as you think about that the word is water and water is the word. And of course, Jeremiah was all about the word of God. He got to talk with God and he got to call out to him. And as you read further in Jeremiah 29, in other words 12 and 13, you know, when you seek me with your whole heart, you're going to find me. You know, when you pray with your whole, you know, you're going to be heard by me. In other words, here is a conversational intimacy that clearly Jeremiah had enjoyed himself.

And now he was saying that all these people, you know, the sheep of his pasture would come into that. And the plans of the happily ever after explained in the next two verses when it explains that, you know, you're going to be able to pray and God's going to listen to you and you're going to be able to seek him with your whole heart and you're going to be able to find him. I mean, that's the happily ever after, is it, that we get to be with God and we get to actually commune with water. And to an extent, you know, you could say it's walking on water or being exalted by water, however you want to talk about it. But you think about Jesus taking Peter's hand. It was through what?

The word. It was through the water and the word. It's an amazing idea that as you, in my opinion, and as I get up in the morning, I hope, and study God's word in whatever way, to an extent, you're walking with the water. To an extent, as he reaches out his hand to pull you up out of that to show you what it means in those passages that you're studying, you know, you, like Peter, are being pulled up by the water to walk with him on the water.

You know, it's kind of a fascinating idea, that whole picture, as I began to think about it this morning, the wonder of happily ever after. And so as I was just, you know, experiencing this this morning, as God was literally showing me what Jeremiah's name meant, I just picture Jesus's hand pulling me up out of the water to show me what actually he was talking about. And as I got up there and I began to just talk to him, and like, what an amazing thing that Jeremiah 29 11 tells you. That if you just pour out your heart, when you look at that word prayer, it's a pay, which is to be in his presence. And then two laments, which is your heart, your heart.

So you pour out your heart to him. He's going to listen. He's going to listen. He's going to, oh, what a, what a delight it is to experience walking on the water with the water. How cool is that? Well, thanks for listening.
