Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile.

Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back.

So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills. But it turns out, That's very illegal. Uh, so there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile.com/slash switch. Up front payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months, or $180 for a 12-month plan required.

$15 per month equivalent to taxes and bees extra. Initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes and be slow when network is busy. See terms. Wherever you go, you hear the people say: Give me a break, give me a break. Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar.

Have a break. Have a Kit Kat. I want to grow the game so every kid can fall in love with soccer like I did.

So I asked myself: what would you like the power to do? My answers inspired me to invent a pop-up soccer goal that can turn any basketball court into a street soccer pitch. Bank of America champion street soccer advocate Kyle Martino, and everyone who dares to ask, what would you like the power to do? Bank of America, proud to be the official bank of U.S.

soccer and FIFA World Cup 2026. Bank of America NA member FDSC. Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome into the Winklerverse. I'm Bart Winkler.

Great to be with you on this Thursday. It is the 23rd of July. I am not on my normal microphone. I hope this sounds okay. My microphone, I tried to upgrade StreamYard, and my microphone went to shit.

Um, it's been sounding weird the last couple of uh shows, so I'm working on getting that fixed. I'm working on this, I'm working on that, I'm working on this, I'm working on so many things. Working on the tailgate, which is two weeks from today, I believe they still have the tickets reserved for us to purchase. Until Monday. Or maybe Sunday, I'd have to check the date.

But if you haven't got your tickets yet for the tailgate, you get the tickets through FIVO, and then you get a spot with us in the outfield. The actual tailgate itself, we're going to be one of the first cars in the Moliter lot. I'll have a couple of cars, so come and join us. And obviously, there's no money involved in that. I'm going to try to have enough food to feed people, but I might come up short, but we'll find out.

I do have, though, some saint, some king sent me these in the mail.

Someone sent me these Padawatomi $20 vouchers that you give with your card.

Someone sent me a shitload of them. And then maybe $10, like $5 off vouchers for the. The pro shop.

So I'll have these available. The problem with, well, the thing with the brewer thing is they expire at the end of the season. The problem with the potto thing is they expire the day after the tailgate.

So, you either have to go that day or the next day. But the tailgate, the link for the tailgate tickets is on my Twitter account at Bart Winkler Show. It's the thing I've pinned. I also did just set up a merch store. That link should be available through my link tree.

I'll have it in the comments or whatever, or just ask me if you're looking for some sick-ass merch. I haven't gotten mine yet. I ordered some. I'm going to assume the quality is good. But if it's anything like anything Winklerverse, it'll be just passing grade.

acceptable, but Could be better as evidenced by my tack board here that I use. For a background. Again, I'm Bart Winkler. This is into the Winklerverse. I want to thank Carl's Place.

I want to thank Dan Shaney Insurance. And I want to thank the guys at Happy Place Hemp, Chris, and Rob. Happy Place Hemp. Promo code is Bart. 25% off each and every order.

Use the code BART at checkout. I don't have a code for the merch site, but anything over 75 bucks is free shipping. At the merch site. These guys include the shipping too with the promo code in most cases.

So check that out. Happyplacehemp.com. Promo code is barred. I got some Giannis things I want to talk about. I got some brewer stuff I want to talk about.

I did advertise that I had some radio thoughts to talk about, and so I do want to talk. Candidly about radio in Wisconsin from my perspective, if I may. I was going to tweet out a bunch of Like Praises really to a lot of the people that do radio in this state. But I decided to just come on and do it as a podcast instead. I'm not going to try to burn any more bridges.

If there are bridges that are burnt, that's not the mission here. But I just want to talk about where I'm at from. A radio perspective. I think that. I don't know if it was a mistake.

that I made, but it was certainly an intended strategy when I first started radio. In Wisconsin.

Now, I was on radio in Fond du Lac. I did a music show and Uh, some sports and some play-by-play, and I really did like that job. I wish I. You know, the good old days you don't know until you leave them. I don't know that I could have, but I wish I held on to that a little more.

That was a really good time. In Fond du Lek, and I was able to do a lot of good things. But when I first came on the air at WSSP, it was 2014, and then I was a full-time host. In the later stages of 2016, when it was Chuck and I for a handful of years, and then I did two years of a show with Tim or Horvot or Toby or whatever other person was available that day. But I think when I look back at my career in 2016, I needed, I was taking over for Wicked who was there for about a decade.

And I felt like I needed to come in blazing. And I felt like coming blazing was also tear down. um other people On other radio stations.

So I did that a lot. Not like. aggressively, but like Like mosquito bitely. Like, I take some jabs on the air to people. On other stations and on my own station.

I would do that on Twitter as well. There was a real big dust up I had with Jason Wildie, but that was a Mike Florio miscommunication. I was calling Willie, I was calling Florio a hack, and then the Wildie fans, he all got into whatever. I think that show's great, by the way. I do like what they do.

I do like the morning show. I think at ESPN, Wisconsin or Milwaukee, I think the morning show. Is what you want a morning show to sound like. I think Jen, Gabe, and Chewy have a really good operation there. Um, so I really like them and really throughout the day.

I don't have too many complaints with their lineup. Um I I They have Rich Eisen, which you'd like a local show there, but they have that for different reasons. But yeah, I think that they're doing a good job. I think that the game. When it first came on the scene, I was really combative about it because they were the new kids on the block.

Um I think that they certainly had their audience. They had a better signal. They went network, which I think helped them. They got the Packers. which helped them.

I think, um I don't agree with a lot of the sports and stuff, but that's just an inherent philosophy that I have that. You don't advertise the stuff. You can get to the stuff, but you shouldn't like be, hey, guy talk. I don't think that's the right way to do it. But to each their own.

And that's what I've learned. or maybe should have known earlier. Is that to each their own? You know, to each their own. I really enjoyed my chat with Trevor Thomas the other day.

He looks at sports a completely different way than I do. But to each their own, you know, to each their own. I can still not like a program or not. Agree with the way that a station is running things, or I would do different things as the program director, but it really is to each their own. These spots that are on the air are so limited, as you see a lot of us guys now in the podcast realm, whether it's Heller or KB or Butch or me or any of these guys, you know, because we like to do this.

And all of these guys have a talent to do it. It's hard to just sit. In your basement and talk and ramble for a half hour with nothing written down, but these guys can all do it. And they do it well. Is everyone's style the style that I would have?

No, but I have my own style. And so to each Their own.

So I don't. I don't think that I should be attacking people. for how they do their show, because if they don't do a show well, They won't do their show anymore, either the bosses or the management. or the listeners Will tell them that they want different, and then different will be had.

So I want to get out of the business of. I want to get out of the business. Yeah. criticizing people. I want to get out of the business of criticizing people for how they do their show.

That's been a part of me for a long time, and I don't need to do that anymore. And maybe I never did. I still think a lot of these people that have problems with me. have a different view of who I am. But one thing I've learned is also the way you're going to get treated is in response to the way you present yourself.

So like I think I think uh Like Mike Heller. I think that he thinks. I'm a ginormous douchebag. I think he thinks I'm probably like the shittiest person that ever exists. But from what he knows of me, that is the persona.

that I've put out there to him.

So I understand that. But I think a lot of these people are wrong. I am a great person. The only person that truly should have a problem with me is probably Bill.

Okay. That's deserved. I get it. I get that one.

Sorry. But I get that one. But I just, I think that there's so many different radio shows, and there's so many different networks, and there's such a weird market in general. is weird. And I've talked about this a lot, and this is the thing that people maybe don't like me for or whatever.

But I feel like The kind of radio that I did, or want to do, or whatever this is. Does not Fit. In what Wisconsin, most Wisconsin fans want. Certainly, there's plenty of people that are good with it. That's why the Winkler verse is a thing.

But uh sometimes it's like square peg round hole. Because I think in this state. And I've talked about this extensively. We think we're great sports fans and we are, but we do. Hold our punches.

We're not as good in the audience at games as we should be. We are too nice. We sit down too much. We are too reactionary of a crowd. And so I think that's also reflected in radio.

You don't want somebody. On the radio, that's saying things that you don't like. And you don't want people on the radio that are saying things against your team. If I say I want Matt LaFleur fired. I don't want Matt LaFleur fired because I hate the Packers.

I want Matt LaFleur fired because I love the Packers. I want Matt LaFleur out of here because I love the Packers and I want them to win, and I don't think they're going to win with him.

Now That definition, well, what is winning? Nine and eight, seven seed, some NFC championship games with Rogers. Sure. But I want more than that and the Packers used to want more than that. And I think that we have accepted mediocrity in this state.

We've accepted the Brewers winning 95 games all the time. We know they're going to win 95 games. They're not going to win a World Series, but we're comfortable here. We don't want to lose. We don't want to lose.

but we find most comfort in when our teams are just good enough. And we have these horrible collapses, which then everybody puts the list out of all the collapses, but we're comfortable. in those collapses. We're comfortable being there because that's what we know. And I think that radio in the state does reflect that.

We're comfortable. with with radio that is pro our teams. That is complimentary of the fans. That and I I'm not trying to make hot takes and I don't think you need to just be a flamethrower just to be a flamethrower. But I do have opinions that aren't always.

comfortable. I want LaFleur fired. I think that JJ Watt is a scam artist. These are not comfortable opinions. In the state of Wisconsin, but these are my opinions.

But again, I think it's square peg, round hole. in what the state wants in terms of an audience. I think with radio as it is, um I can look at it and be very, I can be very upset. I can be very upset because I think there's people that were doing shows that were worse than mine. that maybe had better ratings.

I think the rating system is garbage anyway. I know Zabe likes to tell that he had like the second best ratings in all of Milwaukee. That is a lie. He's that's a lie. Steve, I don't know what you're looking at.

But That the second best rating you almost took over TMJ. Or ISN. No, that is not true. I don't know why he always says that. Um But he does.

There's the six-plus ratings that everybody could look at and they would yell at us for. And that's the thing, it was so minuscule. all these radio stations were fighting for a very small piece of the pie. with sports radio. A lot of people that listen to radio in Milwaukee in their cars listen to music or.

Talk. of the political nature. And then there's a little slice that people can get for sports. And there were three stations, almost four at the time, competing for these breadcrumbs. And and and I think that we get kind of skewed in in what we're actually after.

It doesn't matter. How many people listen? What matters is the effect you have on the people that do.

Okay, that's what matters. And these are things that I've learned over the years. That's also. A way to say that to excuse low ratings. But but whatever.

I feel good about that one. Um, so just the state of radio, I think that right now, what do we have in Milwaukee? We have ESPN in Milwaukee. I think Uh some of the clips that they use They get shit on a lot for I'm not a fan of whatever Jim Rutledge thinks he's doing in Madison. This whole fucking backwards hat.

I'm a Bears fan. That ain't for me. Again, to each their own. But that ain't for me. But if it's four other people, fucking whatever.

How can you be a grown man and wear a backwards hat? And this whole like Bears fan thing. Whatever. does anybody does anybody like does anybody like root like i'm saying you would rather listen to a bears fan or a commanders fan than you would an actual packers fan That's the stuff I don't get. And that stuff does make me angry, which I'll get to the anger component of this.

uh in a second because i i do need to deal with that and i've been working on it in various ways, but I I there is an anger component. Um And I guess some of the anger does translate to my My career. I was at WSSP for eight years. I was a morning show host for six. And then our station, we all got laid off for reasons that are still bogus.

From what I understand, I've been told by. five different people, five different things about what happened. But it seemed like they didn't think they could support sports. in Milwaukee and now and now they're back with two former Packers and then like the lineup from the game. And a couple of remnants.

And I missed that lineup. I I I I thought that me and Chuck and the Bill into the big show with Tim Allen and The college shows and the pre and post. I mean, I would love to be a part of that again.

Someday. I'd love the Tom Parker era of that station. I don't know. What's happened between me and them. I don't understand what's happened.

I think that. Sure, it's probably some shit that I did, because that's always the case. But I got laid off there, then got a national job, got laid off from that.

So I worked for the, I got laid off by the same company twice in three years. And as much as I Like, appreciate everyone that's ever helped me get in these positions. I was a little scarred by that. And when I signed off, I signed off assuming I'd never work in radio again because there were no like. They knew for two months I was getting laid off.

But then I don't, there was never any like communication about could we work together moving forward. And so I just figured. This isn't going to happen. Um Would my life be much different if I signed off saying, I love Odyssey. You guys are my best friends.

Everyone's great. Maybe a little. Maybe I'm filling in. from time to time maybe i have a once a week show But it wouldn't, I don't think it would be that much different. I think whatever happened there.

between me and whoever. Um Is some anger that I need to let go of. Because I just don't understand it. I was never told you're banned from the station. I was never told you can't be a part of this, but it's clear.

That they don't want to be in the bart winkler business and i don't want to sit here and on them I would love to be on that signal again someday. I just don't think it's going to happen under the current iteration of management at the top. I think there's some miscommunication and feelings there. I think that people thought that I was taking shots at them that I wasn't. When that relationship was already tenuous anyway, I got.

Pretty much blown off at an event in Chicago, even though I was on Chicago for three hours a night. Um for two years. But Whatever. Maybe I thought that was a bigger deal. Maybe I thought, hey, I'm on Chicago and Boston and all these different places for three hours a night.

Maybe they should do more outreach to me. And so there's lessons to be learned, I guess, and errors to be made there. But for the most part, Um I have nothing bad to say. about anybody. I don't like that I'm shadow banned.

to the point where they can't even say my name. Like when I did this NBC Sunday night. Baseball Zach Brown thing. um that's the first time i'd met josh who's now in the mornings there and we had a great night i thought And then he tells a story on air, and he goes, Yeah, and then I ran into a buddy of mine. And so, did he not tell me?

Did he not mention me in the story because he didn't want to mention me? Or did he not mention me because it was a directive from on high that you can't even say my name when I'm in. integral part of the story you had. Like, I was a part of this story. I tell the story about it.

Hey, I ran into Josh. He got a shittier seat. I didn't. We had a good time. But I guess I'm not that part of The story, or like, I saw some guy talking about this, it's me.

You know, it's me. I saw some guy online, say my name. If I'm talking about it and I'm still creating enough of a stir for you to bring it up from my basement, say my fucking name. Or say my name. I've always given credit to people.

That's the whole thing. Just say my fucking name. It's not that hard to say Bart Winkler on fucking 1250. But apparently it is. And so Yeah.

I guess I'm dead to them. And that angers me.

So then I And I'm trying to move past that. I truly, truly am. Bill, Drew, and Armin. I love their show. Grant, obviously, I think, should have a much bigger platform than he does.

And all these guys that are just trying to do whatever, Butch's podcast are like very well, and even Heller's, they have like guests at certain times instead of just randomly jumping on at three o'clock. Or whenever. Um, they do a really good job on that, so I'm not. I don't want to shit on anybody's style anymore because your style is your style. I think overall what I'm shitting on.

The atmosphere. I think it's a weird atmosphere. I don't like these networks. I don't like how, like, you're doing a show in Milwaukee and it airs in Green Bay and Madison. For a while, that seemed like, hey, we're expanding.

But Madison and Green Bay and Milwaukee are three entirely different markets. And they should be treated as such. Bill, I think Bill gets either grandfathered in or does it the best. I do think he does a good job of a network. and covering what needs to be covered.

But now everyone's trying to do their network. And if everyone's trying to do it, then no one's trying to do it.

So I don't like that. I don't think I should be driving around Wausau and here sparking. That's a Milwaukee guy doing a Milwaukee show. I think Wausau should have their own show. I think Green Bay should have their own shows.

This whole network thing. The game did that, and then now everyone's chasing these networks. I understand it's a cost thing, but I also don't think you're serving your audience. I don't think you're serving your audience. On Sirius, now you're going to be able to get like New York radio and in your car.

But that's still New York. They're doing a New York show. You can listen to it if you want. But these shows, I think a lot of times the problem I have with these networks is We're in Milwaukee, but then because we're on Inwausa or Green Bay, we're trying to cater more. to those markets.

And then you kind of decrease the milwaukee-ness. I don't like that. Again, business, whatever. You know, I've been a program director, but you know. What do I fucking know?

But but I don't like that aspect of it. The biggest beef that I have with radio in general. isn't even Wisconsin anymore. It's none of these guys. I wish them all their success.

When Zabe first got on the fan, I sent him a DM of a meme that was like, What the fuck? And he's like, dude. I'm like, take it. I'm happy. I don't think you believe me, but I'm happy for you.

I'm happy for anyone that can get a job in the radio business. I am happy for you. Just never take advantage of your audience and never take them for granted. I thought there was a lot of um Like I thought there was a lot of victory laps being run when the fan got disbanded in 2022. And my big anger with that was.

This could easily happen to you. And then it did to a lot of those people. I'm looking the Winklerverse, we are open for business. I would love to have KB on. For an hour and play some songs for me on guitar.

I would love it. I don't care. I I'm still the same piece of shit me. But I don't need anyone's career to suffer. I don't, I don't, I'm not, I'm trying to get out of the business of.

You know, yelling at you just because you're different. If you're different and it works, good. There's a lot of crayons in this box. There's a lot of different colors. There's a lot of flavors of ice cream.

But my big issue, I'll tell you my big issue. My real beef is with New York City. I fucking hate these guys in New York City. I really do. I I just they're they they think they're fucking top shit.

And they're no different than anybody that you're listening to. They just are in New York fucking city. and they get covered like they're kings. They get covered like they're the fucking best. Fucking New York City, man.

This Barrett sports media, this rig, I fucking hate it. That I hate. This guy fucking is a program director four different spots No one wants to hire him, so he's like, I'll start a fucking newspaper. About the radio business. And then everyone's like, okay.

And they treat him like a king.

So good for him. Good for him. for finding the niche, but bad for all of us. that we like just worship this fucking guy. And he, of course, you know, doesn't like me.

He did, um A consulting job with me and Chuck in 2016. It was like our second week. On the show. Get a consultant for that. And I'm like, hey, this was really nice.

You know, thanks. I'd love to make a connection and call you sometime or text you. I don't give up my number. Oh. Jason Barrett doesn't give out his fucking phone number.

That's incredulous. All right, got some comments here. I have not seen any of them yet. I'm going to whip through them. Prazmaster is your only fans in your Linktree, Bart.

No. My OnlyFans is right here. Aaron Rodgers. COVID toe. Actually a pretty nice feet for a guy.

I would contend. Um Freedom Boner just ordered a shirt and a coffee mug. If there's anything that you want on the shop, let me know. And I'll put it on the shop. I could put whatever on, you know.

Someone wanted a hoodie, so I threw up a hoodie. Dustin says, four radio hosts I listened to got fired in the same year. It was a tough year.

So I've done a lot of projecting onto other radio hosts. The problems that I should have is with corporate. These are the problems. When the game got axed, that wasn't a decision made in Milwaukee. That was an iHeart decision.

Okay, when Odyssey got X'd in Milwaukee, that wasn't a Milwaukee decision. That was a Philadelphia decision. And that's the thing, they don't get it. Like this market is weird, and I don't like it. That it's weird.

But also You don't understand it.

Someone running a station in Chicago. Should not be running a station in Milwaukee unless you get it. Because you can't run radio in Milwaukee like you do in Chicago. They are completely different landscapes. Yeah, it might be Hail's Corners Radio.

But that's what people want. It's totally different landscapes. I would, if I grew up in Chicago and was like a Chicago fan. I would fucking run that city. As I say from my basement.

But I think my shit plays. I don't know. I mean, it plays with you guys if you're here, or maybe you're hate watching. But I just think, I don't know. Um Zach, this is my RASCAR NASCAR race this afternoon.

I have this on in the background, sweet ambience. Thank you, Zach. Dunn! Dun dun dun dun dun! What else do we got here?

Brian, are you wearing your WWE hat in honor of the new WWE radio on Sirius XM?

Well, maybe I can apply there. I know a lot about their business. I think it's dog shit right now, but. Eric says, Do the brewers trade for a big arm? Have they ever?

Dustin says, I like Homer, but it seems like he yells at his guest. I like Homer too. Um I already feel like a piece of shit doing this in my basement at 42. If I'm ever seventy. Still doing this no.

Grubinator says, pen and serve. No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. I am not on here trying to beg to be back in. And I'm not asking for forgiveness.

I stand by everything I've ever said. If I shit on you. I that's how I feel about you. I just don't need to keep doing it. I need to let go of anger.

For my own personal life.

Okay. I'll I'll I'll fucking Uh I'll door dash or I you'll stock shelves. before I beg my way back. If I'm ever back, you're getting me. I'm not I'm not I just, I'm, I, I just, I'm tired of waking up and looking at what I tweeted the next day.

And that's a deep Seated anger and other issue that I need to address. Is Bart maturing? Say it ain't so. I know Orlaski liked my. I know you like this chat, Jeffy boy.

Yeah. Uh let's see. Brian says, you should steal Sammy Zane's gimmick and brand yourself as the last real good guy. I feel that way. I feel that way.

I feel like I am the Sami Zayn. Where I'm just trying to be a good guy and I'm not getting the opportunities, and I just get shit on and taken advantage of. I identify so much with Sammy's current arc. Right down to the red beard. Chad, I've met Trevor, super awesome guy.

It was great to listen to your chat with him. Feels like your chat. with his abundant positivity has affected you a little I like your Conan approach. Keep it and stay focused in getting back to national. We need a champion for the Midwest.

Well, and Conan's a guy too that He doesn't shit on other people. Even Jay Leno, he doesn't even like to talk about that. I just Jake says, This market sucks ass. You are a trailblazer because you are authentic. People hate real because they don't have the courage to be real themselves.

That's where I am in my takes. I'm just saying I don't need to do that with other people. I don't need to walk into a press box and everyone fucking hates me. Because I talk shit about them. They can hate me for my Lafleur take.

They can hate me for whatever. But Dustin says some guys are one way on local radio and then Different on national radio belling was like that. Oh, Bellingham shit on. Those guys are all fucking grifters. Clay Travis is a grifter.

These busting with the boys and Josh Pate.

Now they're on ESPN. They're fucking grifters. McAfee's a grifter.

So maybe it's just a redirection of anger. Maybe I realize We're united, us local guys. Fuck these national guys. Radio is so soft in Wisconsin. Yes.

Pratt says, I love this proactive versus reactive argument from Bart. No reason why you guys shouldn't be getting under the skin of opposing pitchers at games in Milwaukee like us Cubs fans did with the Freddy chance. That was the perfect example of what's wrong. with these fans in this state. We will never do that.

The Cubs fans last postseason clearly got to Freddy by starting chanting Freddy, and it was organic. And people started chanting Freddy, and then other people started chanting Freddy. It was organic. And if that happens at Miller Park, There'll be too many people in the section to say quiet down Don't be mean, sit down. Maybe just old fucking Betty's and Bobs go to these games.

I mean, the people I was yelling at at game five weren't fucking my age. They were 70-year-old women. Fuck, you go to a playoff game. You go to a playoff game and don't want to cheer, sit in the fucking 400s. You shouldn't get a good seat if you're not going to use it.

Well, I paid for it.

Well, fuck you. And we have so much nervous energy. It's like. We can't cheer before something good happens in case it doesn't. Why even have crowds?

These fucking teams that we have are probably better suited playing with no fans in the stands than our. Obnoxious fucking The energy. I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous. What's up with WSSP pretending you don't exist?

I hurt a grown man's feelings. I don't know. The boss there cares too much about Twitter. See, Twitter I still view as a play pen. I don't like when tweets are news.

It should be a playpen. It's a playground. You don't make news on a playground, but. Everyone takes Twitter so fucking seriously. Carl says, only in Wisconsin are Bears and Cubs fans allowed into sports radio.

Do you see any Packer fans on the air in Chicago? No, they wouldn't let them. That would never fly. We're such little brother around here. Uh uh your sign-off was legendary.

Oh, I wouldn't change it. I would not change it. For a minute. I would not change it. Not at all.

Yeah, Packers probably were better in the COVID year. And then fan good, good, yeah. Then fans came back and they lost. How many times do you go to a game and you're like I just We can't lose. I mean, I've said that I'm that way.

I'd rather not lose than I would win. But at the games I'm standing up in the ninth inning. I'm standing up in the seventh inning. It's a fucking game five. We shouldn't have sat down at all.

It's game five, an elimination game against your rival. And in the ninth inning, I'm yelling at people to stand the fuck up. But I can't change that. That's the river I talk about. I'm in the river.

I can't stop the river from flowing. I can't. Splash it back. This is what you. This is what we are here.

And there might be people that are like me that are different. And want to be different, but we are outnumbered. We are outnumbered. You know what I think of when I think of Packer fans, the typical Packer fan? I think of Packer fans as.

Uh like a town of 800, there's one bar. And they all gather there and do their jello shots after touchdowns. And like the Packers, they like to get together and watch the Packers, and they might even have a Packer gnome in their front yard. But that's about it. They're not passionate, they're not diehards, but that's That's who we cater to.

We cater. Sports radio here is catering. to the casuals. Where's the place for the diehards? If you're listening to sports radio, you love sports.

But we're all like Gotta be soft. Don't want to say anything bad and have Rick Schlesinger text our boss. Fuck it. Don't want this to get back to Ed Policy. What the fuck?

You don't have to have a negative opinion. Just to have a negative opinion. But if your opinion is negative, have it! I'm Shadow Band on ESPN Wisconsin. They danced around your spirit Halloween tweet on the Giannis.

Yeah. Maybe. Fucking shadow band everywhere. Jake says, Bark spoke for the listeners, so I'll say it. Milwaukee Sports Radio is shit and has been since they shut down WSSP.

The rest that remain are lazy hacks collecting checks, and they know it. Brian says: Based on your experience being a national host, how would you do a Wisconsin-specific show to bridge the different interests across the state? I I wouldn't. There was a day, the day Doc Rivers got fired. Chris McIntosh got fired.

You can Milwaukee doesn't care about Chris McIntosh. Madison doesn't care about Doc Rivers.

So I guess the answer would be touch on it all, but You have to do your show specific. Pras says, which market in Wisconsin dominates the media limelight more than others? Genuinely curious. I would guess it's Milwaukee. No, it's Green Bay.

Milwaukee plays like it's Green Bay. Milwaukee is a big city. Milwaukee has two professional sports teams. But we act like we're Green Bay. We don't want to hurt anybody's feelings.

We don't want to get in trouble because it is small walkie. I mean, you know everybody in a way, but. We cater to the Packer fans. We cater to And I don't mean Pac-Rafans derogatory. But I mean like.

You know, Philadelphia is booing all these people that are in the home run derby if you're not a Philly. We would never do that. We have more pride in being the good guy than we do supporting our teams. And then when we have so much angst, it's like. The Brewers can't lose this game because the Packers lost.

That shouldn't fucking matter. If you're at the brewer game, you're at the brewer game. Stand the fuck up and cheer. Jeff, if you're just noticing the flat brim, I'm a flat brim guy. Flat brim's available at the shop.

KB on here would be cinema. I'm trying. I am fucking trying. Uh I get along with Sparky. Quite well.

And I I have no bad things to say about Steve. Ben says, Wisconsin Radio caters to boomers and Gen X. They don't cater to millennials because we're all podcast only. They cater to that boomer mentality. Here's the problem that I run into.

I always thought that. this boomer mentality would die off. But then people my age and younger our like wannabe boomer mentality. What the fuck is that about? Craig, I want to let you know I will follow you wherever you go.

Craig, I will follow you to the ends of hell. I will follow you to the ends of fucking hell. Jay Lewis says, Bart, it seems like your personality is misunderstood by these individuals who distance themselves from your presence, but I'll support you, my brother. My personality. to them is the one that I put out.

To that.

So, I don't think a lot of these guys listen to every one of my shows. I think they just saw me talking shit about him on Twitter and were like, fuck this guy. And, you know, I would do the same thing. Try angel stuff for you, Tushi Angels Soft and strong, budget-friendly. The choice is simple.

Pick up a pack today. Angelsoft.

Soft and strong. Simple. Granger knows when you're a procurement manager for an office park, you're not managing one building, you're managing all of them. And to stay ahead, you need to see through walls and around corners. Lights about to fail, filters ready to clog, HBAC on its last leg?

If you wait until something breaks, you're already behind. Count on Granger for quality products, easy reordering, and 24-7 support. Call 1-800GRANGER, clickgranger.com, or just stop by. Granger for the ones who get it done. I have the cojonies to say what everyone is thinking from NDK.

Yeah, maybe. PBR versus Goose Island, who wins? Um A PBR. Thing about PBR, John, is it goes with anything. PBR goes with anything.

Austin says, game one and game two of the NCS and LCS. I was told to sit down once even by an usher. I won't go to another playoff game. Ushers. Holy fuck.

Why'd it take me so long to get into ushers? I don't know if people be ushers. and then turn bad or if they're just bad to begin with. But These and I don't know what kind of infiltration they're getting from on high. But these the the ushers Like sometimes you run into a policeman and you think, oh, he's got a power trip.

No one's got more of a power trip in this state than fucking ushers. At Pfiser, they love giving you that warning card. Oh my God. One time I'm pretty sure a brewer's usher. Like You can carry a bunch of shit.

You still gotta show your fucking ticket. I couldn't find my ticket at first. I swear to God, the 65-year-old man, I started to see him ejaculate. How fucking pumped he was. That he might catch a fucking Fifth inning.

Every game. Sixth inning, seventh inning. Maybe not every game, but like the non-attended ones. the weekday games. The brewer should put on the message, okay.

It's time to go find a better seat now. Everyone come to the 100s. Oh, you're going to come in someone's seat. No, clearly, the sections in left field are unattended. Come on down, grab a seat if you want.

It's the eighth inning. Do you have your ticket? Yeah, I want a fucking better view. No one's sitting here. Bart Winkler fanboy.

Ooh, I like that. My brother and I got told by the usher at game three of the NBA Finals to sit down because the fans behind us could not see.

So then the fans behind you should stand up.

Well, what if they're not able? There's like 10 people a game that aren't able. If you're not able to stand up, Then you shouldn't have people standing in front of you. That's why there's designated sections. If you're not, and you don't want to, doesn't mean you're not able.

Scott says, This is authentic radio.

So many Yoner shows out there. Keep it up, Bart. Thanks, buddy. Yeah. Uh got a couple voicemails to play.

I also want to get into the Giannis stuff before I pick up my kid from camp. I'll just finish these comments. This probably went a little longer than I thought it might. But that's okay. Chuck Freeman says, When is the Chuck and Winkler invasion happening?

Asking for a friend, actually, many friends. I'm in if you are. Frames. Frings I'm going to text frames right now. Let's go do a show.

from the parking lot. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. But we gotta come up on a tank. Ah! And blast DX.

Tickets still available for the tailgate? Yeah. It's my pinned tweet. Get them while you can. Mike says, just join what I miss.

I shit all over you. Oh, I shit all over you. Mike Wickett. is a tremendous radio talent. And I am honored to have taken after him, as he is now honored to take after me.

and westward one. Better show, Chuck and Winkler or Chuck and Wicket? Chuck and Wicket with Bart as the producer. That's the show, my friend. The WSSP parking lot, Chuck.

Oh yeah, Mike, I also showed feet. I also showed feet. Earlier. All right. I'm good.

I think I got it out of my system. I'd like to play some voicemails. And I would like to talk about Giannis. I also have in here Brewers Keep On Winning. Whatever.

Oh, I do have some Mets commentary actually. I do have some Mets commentary. I don't know if you saw this. I thought this was a really good synopsis of what the Mets are at right now. How's this for some sports talk?

Here we go. This is some commentary on the New York Mets.

So I like baseball. I like baseball. But this guy's done such a great job. You know the Mets have the highest Salary in baseball and they lose all the time on Friday. Look at that.

You don't see Donald Trump up there shitting on a summer of entertainment and passion. You don't see him doing that, Brewers. Brews are doing something right, my brothers and my sisters. Um I don't know what is going on with Damien Lillard. You guys saw that tweet.

Somebody had tweeted at Dame Davion and Mitchell doing what Dame won't even do because Davion, Mitchell, and Giannis were working out in Greece. Dame tweets, LOL, motherfuckers, or MFS, don't want Dame to tell it. Be thankful I ain't running my mouth like these other suckers. Carry on. Damn, if you got something to say, now is the fucking time.

Now is the time. We're receptive. If you got the shit.

Now is the fucking time. If Trump says obliterated one more time. The thing I don't like that he says, now I'm political. The thing that I don't like, he says he's always like... The wildest that anyone's ever seen.

No one's seen anything like it. It's always that. It's like Stupid. No, it's the biggest seven's ever seen. No, it's ever seen.

People are saying. And when he's like, people didn't know that there'd be in the word dumb, you didn't fucking know. You didn't know. People didn't know. Groceries, old-fashioned term.

It's 'cause you're rich and you never go shopping. Trump is the Hawk Harrelson of presidents. Is that show good? Oh, Hawk Harrelson. I meant the golfing show, Hawk.

Is Hawk any good? I saw a lot of people shitting on it. Mike, recap of the show. I don't want to be held by anger anymore. That being said, the Wisconsin market is fucked up.

And also, I do hate New York radio. I hate them all. Except for Carlos. I hate the fan. Like W F A N.

I like Geo. And I and yeah, I showed feet. Earlier. Giannis was on a podcast. It was in Greek.

He says, I'm happy to be in Miami. In Miami now, I won't lie, I don't feel comfortable. I don't know the team, but I'm going over there and I will do my best. I've been doing this my whole life and I hope it turns out well. I love the city of Milwaukee.

I will love Milwaukee until I die. I bleed purple and green. It's very simple. They made me who I am today.

So Giannis needs to not talk. He's trying to. Keep us in good graces. He's trying to keep Miami in good graces. He's trying to keep himself in good graces.

The reel I posted earlier is. He's just trying to live two different lives. You're going to have to. Great Lakes dragaway pick a lane. And you picked Miami, so you're in that lane.

So do it. If you went to Miami, you went to Miami. If you want to come back to Milwaukee. Come back when you come. But now you're gone.

You are gone.

So be gone. Part of me, that's why I'm rooting for LeBron to go to Miami. 'Cause then everyone will fucking hate watch this team with us. I don't want them to do well. I don't want them to do well at all.

And, like I said, I'll go to a heat bucks game in the future, but I ain't going to the first one. I ain't going to the one where he gets the big tribute. Uh If he ever plays here again and does a tribute, I'll go to that. But you left.

Well, I'm committed to Milwaukee as long as they're trying to win. Brother, were you trying to win last year when you self-diagnosed your fake injury in the locker room? I know it wasn't all winding roses for him, the organization. And I don't want to make it look like I'm taking Jimmy Haslam's fucking side. But what are you doing, man?

What are you doing? All right. Let me play a couple voicemails. You can get on the Carl's Place voicemail line. 402-915-BART.

402-915-22 Seven, eight. I got one from Vincent in Anaheim. Vincent. Hey, what's up, bars? Vincent Anaheim, California.

What's up out there, man? Hey, wanted to give you a little update, man, on the Winklerverse. I like the new logo. I think it's a new logo, or whatever you did, the new graphic. It looks nice.

And then it's cool if it's new, if it's not new, it's just maybe me barely seeing it. But anyway, man, I'm over here. Like I said, I am on... Um, I just got done with October 1st, 2025 episode. Uh I know you don't like you I didn't know you hated Matland Florida that much.

Oh, you're in for a treat, Vincent. And I think the end uh at the Dallas Cowboy Tide.

So I got your reaction of all that. It's pretty entertaining, you know, and I understand it, man. And it's a trip again how uh then when you look at Ryan Horn a lot and some of the stuff he said about great pay, not doing anything and Telling to find out if that team makes it for the Super Bowl. But it's a trip man, so I love listening to it. Because some of the stuff y'all say, some of it does come to fruition, some of it doesn't.

So, you know. But it's all good. It's still entertaining, man. Why keep doing what you're doing? Hopefully, like I said, you get a steady gig if you need it.

And if not, man, but hey, this is an exclusive, R.I. Barton exclusive. LeBron James, who's going to go to the Washington Wizards, the team up with Trey Young and Anthony Diggins, they're going to sign there. And they're going to and LeBron James is going to bring a title. To the Washington Wizards, let Kobe know, and LaBranche is going to do what Michael Jordan couldn't do.

And bring a title. You don't want to fool it back. You can be on a Washington Winter franchise. That's my prediction. Hopefully you hear this before he makes the announcement, but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

But you heard it here first on the Winkler first. This is an Anaheim again. I remember I don't watch the wizard because of Jordan. I'm a Lakers fan, you know, growing up like the Lakers, and I'm a Raptors fan, 2019 World Champions for all the Raptors, baby. You know, and Go Brewer, Brewer's gonna make it the playoffs gallery.

We all know that. Might be the year for them. And uh, go Angels, go Giants. Go Raiders, Go Packers, and Go Bengals. Go Bengals?

What the fuck, Vincent? Go Bengals. Oh, all right. I don't have much else to cover. I've said my peace.

Hopefully it doesn't ruined my career the way my sign-off did. But uh Rather than just texting my friends about the shit I'm mad about, I'll just. Say it in a pleasantly presentable way, and then hope that it's out of my system so I don't glug, glug, type, type anymore. And I'm off to get my son. Thank you all for listening, and thanks for stopping into the Winklerverse.
