It is! The JR Sportbree Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to everybody for tuning in and locking in here on the Infinity Sports Network.

Super producer and host Ryan Hickey, he is in New York City. We'll be hanging out with you for one more hour. It's been a busy day, a busy afternoon, a busy evening, and wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I hope you're safe.

I hope you're well. You can always listen to this show on the free Odyssey app, on your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate, on Sirius XM channel 158, on a smart speaker. Ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network. Wow!

Where do I start? Right now, in the bottom of the 10th inning, the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians, they are all tied up at five runs apiece. The Guardians have one man on third. They have two outs. And Mr. Fry is at the plate. Is he going to get a hit? Is he going to hit a home run?

We don't know. The Yankees did leave five to three. But Luke Weaver came in and gave up a two run home run.

He blew the save. The Yankees look like they were on their way to a 3-0 series lead. Now they've got to wait. They may lose this game or they may go up.

We'll keep you in touch, keep you up to date as things roll on. Meanwhile, in Queens, New York, it's not good for the other New York baseball team because in the top of the third, the Los Angeles Dodgers already lead the New York Mets three to one. The Mets currently have two outs.

The Dodgers have the bases loaded. Not looking good. Meanwhile, down in New Orleans, Louisiana, a homecoming for Sean Payton. Heading back with the Denver Broncos now a member. Well, their head coach taking on the Saints at home. Spencer Rattler versus Bo Nix. This game is pretty bad. Another field goal.

What the freak can do is six to nothing. The Denver Broncos now lead. The New Orleans Saints, the 12 minutes left to go here.

In the first half of the game. Oh, my God. Yeah, well, David Hickey, what you want to say something? You want to say something to me? You want to say something?

Go ahead. I honestly have nothing to say. I have no joy. I'm taking no joy right now in your team losing because my team right now has their hands full. But the Yankees game is officially over. Yeah, I said David.

What did I say? Home run to run bomb seven to five. The Guardians come back and beat the New York Aaron judges like, man, what the hell is this crap? I had a two run home. The Cleveland Guardians got two run home runs to tie the game. Another two run home run to win the game.

Oh, sad. The Guardians now lead. Well, that's not they don't leave. The game is over seven to five. Yankees are dejected.

Aaron Boone is ticked off. Hickey, they're going to beat up. They're going to beat up Luke Weaver in the back. They're going to beat him up. No, no respect for that guy. Come on.

And then Clay Holmes. Oh, two for one in the back. Both of them. They should just get in the cab back to the hotel together for safety. Buddy system, man. Buddy system.

Oh, I'm dejected. Noel hit the home run to the two run home run to tie it at five to three. And then here in extras in the tent, we saw Frye big home run in the last series.

He does it again this time to win the game. And so the Yankees lose seven to five in Cleveland. The series is now two one Yankees instead of being a three one Yankees. The next game in this American League Championship series after a heartbreaking loss for the Yankees and an energizing win for the Guardians.

You got to wait. Tomorrow, not bad. Tomorrow night, another one in Cleveland. Oh, damn great. They play every day. They get a day off on Sunday and if necessary, a game six and a game seven Monday and Tuesday in New York.

I still confident still feel confident the New York Yankees will are come out on top here. So as they celebrate Frye, they have doused him in the Gatorade. Now being interviewed on TNT, whoopty freakin do you got anything else to say? Hickey, anything else? Just anything? No, I actually have one thing to say. Yes, I really like the Saints uniforms are wearing tonight.

Let's see what his Amazon. Oh, I like the I like the Broncos Matt helmets. They look futuristic of this. You like the Saints uniforms?

I do. Gold pants, nice gold helmet, gold numbers. That looks that's a clean look. I don't like the Broncos uniforms. They kind of think they look mismatched.

Hmm. Saying that says some of my fashion preferences. Yeah, it looks like look miss out.

I don't know. It's better than the other gold pants. They were like, you know, they're like the almost like the yellow. This looks a lot. Yeah, this looks a lot better.

These look dirty. Well, say a lot of things. They're blending in with the city, but hey, a shout out to my guy.

We just did my guy, Reggie Hickey. I'm getting messages. People like, I can't believe we blew this game. Oh, people are pissed. Well, people are messaging me. I mean, that seemed like you talk about the range of emotions, losing back to back home runs to go up ahead. I've been there plenty of times. I know the feeling.

It's not a fun one. Yeah. Oh, you talking about something with the Mets? Oh yeah. Over the course of my lifetime. Oh, a lot of times they've raised you up just to knock you down.

It's the worst. Like you almost rather lose. Like if, if, if you were to say, Hey, look, the Yankees are not winning game three, right?

Then you lose 20 nothing. Don't get it to where you get sucked in eighth inning, Aaron Judge, Sean, Carlos, Stan five, three in the ninth. Here we go. We're going to win this game, kill the guardian squash. And you hope they have go three nothing. And then had that loss. You rather watch a blowout than a heartbreaking one, huh?

Well, to be honest with you, no, I'm sick. Like I'd rather have my team lose close. Cause then at least I know, okay, they're, they they're close rather than like, if you get embarrassed 20 to nothing, like it's like, you're not, you know, you're not even competitive.

You only belong in the same fields. What is the worst of any game you've ever watched? What is the worst loss you've ever witnessed? Oh, easily 2017 Penn state, Ohio state. They're up by 15 points in the fourth quarter on the road at Ohio state. Penn state was number two in the country.

Ohio state, I think it was five and they blew it. They could have won the national title of that year and they just absolutely choked it away. I still would not get over that. That hurts. That really hurt.

Worst game I ever seen in my life. I could still see it in my head. Mariano Rivera on the mound and never gives up anything. The weakest hit ever to Luis Gonzalez and the world series is over. I just, I didn't even know what to do or say at that time. I just stared at the teller. You know, I don't even think I stared at the TV. I remember I turned the television off and Luis Gonzalez hit the ball.

Mariano Rivera turned all around and it was done. And I was just shocked. I turned the TV off and I think I went, I think I went straight to sleep.

I had no emotions. I didn't see anything until the back page of the paper the very next day and said that is by far the worst part of social media. What is when your team loses a game like that and everybody's watching? And I mean, you're on your phone. You can't get away from at least back then. Well, there was no social media. Right. You could get away from it and you turn the TV off and it's like, you could try your best out of sight, out of minds. Here, if that happened today, JR, this year, you turn your TV off.

That doesn't matter. People are texting you left and right. You got DMS.

You open up any social media app. I'm sure it's going to be the hit or some sort of celebration. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Not good.

Not good. Well, you can do, well, you can do that right in 2024. You can turn, you can turn off life. You can. To an extent.

I mean, you could try to block some words and you can try to block some phrases and maybe not open up your, but let's be realistic here. Oh, oh, it's the Turner people. I know what they're going to do when this show is over.

I do that. Curtis Grandison and Jimmy, yeah. Jimmy Rollins. Pedro's there, right? Yeah. Pedro's there. Dusty Baker.

You ever seen him out after a show? Uh, yes. That's pretty cool. Yeah.

Uh-huh. I see Dusty putting some cold ones down. Not, I haven't seen Dusty.

If I saw Dusty, I want to talk. I've seen, I've seen, I know where the other two go. I'm not going to say, but I seen them out. Yeah. Don't dox him.

I'm not. What? Like who? No, I'd be doxing myself too.

What not? Who did that? Did that happen to somebody? Oh my God. Dan Campbell.

Forget Dan Campbell. Oh, did you hear, did you hear my guy Sam Mitchell over the weekend? Did you hear about that? I did.

Oh my God. Is that real? I heard that was not real. No, no, no, no, no.

The address that he gave out was not real. Okay. So I woke up on Saturday morning cause I'm sorry. As much as I love NBA TV, I was not watching at 10 o'clock at night. Well, the dammit, I was here.

Okay. And when I left here, I wasn't watching NBA TV when I got in. And so I woke up on Saturday morning and as you said, I saw all of this stuff on it.

I know Hickey. I saw Sam Mitchell trending and I, you know, I've, I've been around Sam. Very nice guy. I love listening to Sam.

He is very straightforward. He's funny. Very matter of fact, I love Sam Mitchell.

One of my favorite people to listen to watch period. I saw him trending and I'm like, this is unusual. Why is Sam Mitchell trending? I don't think he's sick or anything.

What's the problem? And I saw he got into it with another guy that I know cause I used to work with both of them. Chris Miles, one of the hosts at NBA TV and you know, Chris Miles made a joke about, you know, Steve Kerr not getting Olympic metal for gold and Sam Mitchell. He's like, Hey Sam, you should work for free. And Sam told him like, bro, you need to watch it young fella. Like talk about my money. He's like, yeah, I work for free.

Basically working here. And he's like, I know where you live and all the money you got. Stop trying to be flashy.

Do I tell them about your house in Buckhead and your rental property in Florida? And it was like, Whoa, okay. This is getting kind of dark. And then he gave away an address that happened to be a wrong address and people lost their minds.

Hickey, I didn't know what being doxed was until like a year ago. Like they're really people who find out individuals addresses online and what they do, send the police to their house or something like that. That sends it out on the dark web. I assumed like most people know, like I assumed it was easy to find where people live to be honest with you.

I didn't know it was difficult. I think, yeah, I think there used to be a thing called the yellow pages. Yeah, it used to be.

They still exist on the internet. It's just, who's using that? You know? True.

Well, I guess you're, I mean, yeah, just, yeah, I guess you're right. Who is using? No one's thinking about that. Like I need to know where you, like, I don't know. Like if you typed in LeBron's address, I think it would pop right up now. Doesn't everybody know where LeBron lives? In the Hills somewhere, right? I don't know.

Somewhere in LA. I figured it, page six or TMZ would have it. Right.

And you got to think his house is so big. Like it's not, here we go. LeBron James address. Okay.

Google maps, virtual globetrotter. Hmm. I don't, I don't know. Oh crap. I don't know. It's a big house. I don't know.

Does he still live in this house or heard he moved? I don't know. Well, he did have that. I forget what it was, but he had that phrase or I mean it got. Oh yeah. Yeah. They painted on the house when he moved in.

Right. So people knew, I guess, right when he moved in, where he was moving. Man, they do these whole tours out in Los Angeles where you're getting at the van and you go up in the Hills and they go, this person lives here and this person lives here and this person lives here. Did you ever see the video of the rock?

He was like on a residential street and the TMZ van drove by and he stopped to say hello to all the fans. You see that? No, really? Yeah. A couple of years ago. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Rock was just like, Hey, Hey guys, how you doing?

Oh my God. It's the rock. It's just, just driving. Where's the rock going to Hollywood? Who knows?

Just a meeting so he can make another $10 million at a bad movie. I guess. I don't know.

I don't know. Good, good for all the Hollywood people. Anyway, this sucks for the Yankees. Congratulations to the guardians. The guardians win seven to five, took them 10 innings to do so. David Fry with a walk-off home run.

Noel comes off of the bench to tie the game before that. Yankees, they, they, they lose, they lose seven to five. Ah, judge and Stanton go back to back, but Weaver and Holmes, they, they blow the game. It's the JR sport pre-show here with you on the infinity sports network.

And take a break. When we come back on the other side, we'll listen, we'll hear that home run that just put the guardians back in the series as the Yankees now lead two to one. We'll give you an update on the Dodgers and the New York Mets. We'll get into some of these college coaches. We'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history.

I'm not going anywhere. No walk-offs here. It's the JR sport reshow, the infinity sports network. You're listening to the JR sport brief.

It's the JR sport reshow here with you on the infinity sports network. We got one New York team. They already took an L the guardians handed the Yankees and L tonight, seven to five. Meanwhile, the New York Mets, they're trying to avoid an L another one. They're currently trying to fight back early against the Dodgers. The Dodgers lead the Mets right now, three to two. There's two outs in the bottom of the third. The Dodgers lead this series against the New York Mets two to one, the Mets trying to avoid a three one series deficit. But let's talk about the game that already concluded a few minutes ago. Oh, it was a good one. If you're a guardians fan, the guardians beat the Yankees seven to five out in Cleveland.

They are not in a three O hole. The series is now two, one to the Yankees. This was a good game. A lot of people have looked at Aaron judge and have looked for him to, to come up with a big hit. And he did because in the eighth inning, Aaron judge hit a two run home run. It was a game time to run home run in the eighth inning, John Carlos Stanton followed him up.

They went back to back. This man helped the New York Yankees take the lead in the eighth. But then in the bottom of the ninth, the guardians answered, Noel hit a two run game tying home run. And then in the 10th inning, David Fry stepped up to the plate, a man on base. And then he decided to do this. Listen to this.

And this is courtesy of the guardians radio network. I love the dramatic pause. He let the moment breathe. That was an excellent call. He showed emotion out of the gate for the home team and their fans. He then shut the hell up so the fans could listen to the crowd and enjoy it.

And then he put a stamp on it. It's broadcasting one on one good stuff. The New York Yankees and the Cleveland guardians will be back in action again tomorrow in Cleveland. The guardians are going to try to tie this series up at two games apiece. The New York Yankees are going to try to go up three to one. Please don't don't waste back to back home runs by a judge in Giancarlo.

Don't don't don't do that again. We'll see what happens. Luis Hill will be on the mound tomorrow for the New York Yankees. Gavin Williams will be on the mound for the Cleveland Guardians. First pitch is scheduled to be tomorrow at around 8 p.m. Eastern Time, 5 Pacific. So we'll keep you up to date with that game as well. Highly unlikely unless it is some type of pitcher's duel that the game concludes while we'll be on the air.

But we'll we'll let you know what's going on in the process. So the Yankees still have some leverage here. But you could say that the momentum is now on the guardian side with the way that they just finished and completed that game. And last hour, thank you so much to our guest, actually a couple hours ago, Chip Towers came through and joined us from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And you want to talk about teams with their backs up against the wall. We're sitting around here on Thursday, going to move into some big games over the weekend and college football. We talked about the Georgia Bulldogs getting ready to take on the Texas Longhorns. Texas is undefeated. Georgia has had Georgia has had some issues scoring or at least being any type of consistent in that way. And the Bulldogs can make a statement here. Like if the only game, the only loss was against Alabama, who's been struggling themselves recently. The Georgia Bulldogs can kind of jump back, maybe possibly into that number one spot, depending on what happens with Texas. And if Texas beats them, people will look at the Bulldogs and go, eh, not worth the damn. I've already discounted the Georgia Bulldogs as national champions.

I'm not taking a look at them. And I've wanted to talk about this for a while now. You've had so much news kind of happen and break. And speaking of Alabama and the Crimson Tide, since they beat Georgia, what the hell?

And let's think about this. They smacked Georgia 41 to 34, but they had a 28 to nothing lead. How the hell they let them get back into the game and drop 34 basically in the second half is is almost mind numbing.

And then you think about the next game. They lost to Vanderbilt 40 to 35. And then this past weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide, they barely got by South Carolina 27 to 25. And their next game is up against Tennessee.

These are two teams with their backs up against the wall. Tennessee, they lost to Arkansas 19 to 14. What happened to this offense? They barely beat Florida, took them overtime 23 to 17. What is going on with Tennessee and Alabama? What's going on with Tennessee's offense? And whoever loses this game, you could say that maybe they're going to be eliminated from realistic competition here, especially if you want to take a look at the SEC, which is all brand new. The SEC is wild.

You got to appreciate it for what it is right now. You know, let's take a listen. Kalen DeBoer, new head coach, Alabama Crimson Tide, taking over of everybody's favorite angry coach, Nick Saban. Kalen DeBoer says, our team? Yeah, we got a little bit better.

Listen to what he said on the Hey Coach show since they beat South Carolina, whatever. A lot of work in areas we can keep getting better at, but some improvement that I felt happened from one week to the next as well. So it's all about mindset.

You can't do it without that. And these guys understand the process, have stuck to it, and they've most importantly stuck together. Okay, he is sticking together. He had beaten South Carolina and the way they did barely is sticking together. I guess Tennessee, they're going to have to find a way to stick together. Tennessee has to figure out their offense to 23 points against the Gators. 14 points against Arkansas.

Nico Iyama Liava. People have been talking about this guy since he was 17 years old. Big shot out in California. And now for Tennessee, people are looking at the offense and they go, what the hell is going on? Josh Hypel, their head coach. Tennessee, he's just like, I think he'll be fine. I don't have concerns about him pressing. You know, he's prideful.

It matters to him. He wants to perform well, not for himself, but for the guys around him. And, you know, let's go have a great week and be ready to go play really good football. When you play quarterback, it's not going to be perfect.

Everybody wants it to be. You know, it wasn't for Hendon Hooker, you know, any of the guys that we've had being resilient, coming back and playing with great confidence, which he will and poise will lead you to the plays they're going to present themselves. Hickey, do you think we'll ever see Hendon Hooker, you know, start some game somewhere? I know the Lions don't want to see him play, but you ever think we'll see him get a chance?

I think so. Just because, right, there's always right, there's always a dearth of good quarterback play and teams are always trying to grab at something. And so we haven't, because we haven't seen him yet, I think there's still hope of, oh, well, last time you saw him in 2022, Tennessee was one of the best offenses in the country.

Let's go see what we can get. Some team will take a flyer on him at some point. I mean, may not be for another two years or so, but he'll get a shot. Yeah, he was so good there at the end. I'm like, oh, come on. We'll see.

It's only been so many spots anyway. Keeping up with Nico, the opposition, Kalen DeBoer, he's showing him a lot of respect. Either he's scared or he's just throwing him flowers thinking that he's going to suck.

I think he's got a live arm, extremely talented. You can tell that they got the skill on the outside to where, you know, they can hit the home run and make big plays anytime. I think a lot of it is just trying to disrupt him to where the continuity and the flow, you know, is just not consistent.

And that's going to be any quarterback every week. That's the goal is try to just really cause some chaos and change things up on them. They get into their tempo off of positive plays. And that's, that's the key is try to make sure that they don't get into that rhythm.

Let me, let me, let me save everybody some time here. Alabama's not winning a national championship. The volunteers are not winning a national championship. Georgia, and we're going to find out Georgia doesn't look good enough to win a championship. Texas looks like they could win a national championship. And how about this team? This is a team that hasn't looked good either. I mean, until last week, Ohio State losing to Oregon. Ryan Day, he says that, yeah, we, we lost to some ducks, but we're going to be fine.

You know, losing that game, it wasn't, it wasn't like, oh my God, we have to just all of a sudden turn things around. Take a listen to what he said on his own show. That part of it, they they've been great. You know, their attitude, they, yeah, they, they're edgy. We're all edgy. Coaches are edgy. That's the way it should be. I'm on edge right now.

And it's just, you know, you get that awful taste in your mouth. And so it's just going to be like that all the time, which it's been, by the way, it's not like, you know, this was, this is not a wake up call at all. You know, guys have been going after it. We've been playing hard. We've been doing those things, but we got to find a way to win the game in the fourth quarter. And those are the things that we've identified that we've got to do a better job of. Okay.

All right. Now, Ohio State, I consider them to be realistic championship contenders. Texas, realistic championship contenders. All those other teams I just told you about in the SCC, they're missing a few things. They're inconsistent, the offense. And we got plenty of time for teams to turn things around.

I just, I don't feel good. Things have been consistent. The only thing that will stop Texas is if Quinn Ewers goes down.

Is that, Hickey, what are your thoughts? These are some big games over the weekend. They are. With Georgia, Texas, I think Texas should go to win. I like their offense a lot and I don't trust Georgia right now.

You shouldn't. Brought up last week when they allowed Mississippi State to score 31 points. What are we doing? What are we doing? Yeah, losing. That's it. And I think Alabama wins on the road.

Oh wow. I don't, you know, their defense is not very good, but neither is Tennessee's offense. And I think Alabama, I trust Alabama's defense to make just enough plays here to escape out of Knoxville with a victory. But do you think Alabama's good enough to win a title this year? No, I'm with you on that front. Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, no way. Yeah, you could throw them out the window. Ohio State, you still feel that they can't? I do.

Them, Oregon, Texas, absolutely so far. Yeah, pretty much. And it goes that baseball robot, Shohei Ohtani on base again. Hickey, I gotta be honest, I'm surprised that he does all these celebrations. He's waving on the base pass. He's doing, you know, a street fighter celebrations with fireballs. I don't know, if he has this much personality, why don't we ever see him off the field?

I was about to say maybe it's just me and my ignorance. I have never seen him like actually like smile, have fun, like the home run. He hit it.

Half second turn, looked at it like I started waving his hands. Like he has shown more personality feels like in the last few games than we've seen in a while. I don't know. Maybe, maybe this is the off season where it happens.

Maybe, maybe they win it all. Maybe all of a sudden now he gets more comfortable and now all of a sudden we'll start to see him at the parade. Oh my God.

I don't want to think about a Dodgers parade. Oh God. I'm telling me. Oh no.

Thank you. At least he, he has to speak in English. He has to. I think I've only heard him speak English in an extended format. I think he, no, well he was at an award show. What did he win? Was it MVP?

That it? I don't think it was MVP. I don't know. He didn't win a gold glove. Did he win a glove?

For what? He don't play the field. He spoke in small bits of English in an MLB network interview back in like March with the Dodgers.

When he was sitting on his couch? No, no, no, no, no, no. They're like at spring training. It was like Ham Mookie Betts and Freddy Freeman. Like those three were together.

It was like very short answers, but like he did speak English very in small bits. All right, whatever. I need to see him twisted at the parade. Well, I mean, that might be his first drink ever.

That could be dangerous. You're right. You're right.

You're right. He just, he's just a robbery victim. He's not a, no other closer to criminality and Shohei doesn't drink. He doesn't do drugs. Doesn't cheat, obviously. Doesn't cheat. Doesn't gamble. Just plays baseball.

Very good at it. You think, you think him and Victor, they're not friends, but you think they know each other who they are, right? Shohei Otani is so locked in. He doesn't know anything. He knows LeBron James and nobody else. I could see him being so locked in. He has no idea. Who's, when Benyama who? Victor what? When Benyama knows who he is though. Has to.

You think? They're very similar. When Benyama comes across as knowing everything about everything, but not being a jerk about it. I feel like you can talk to Victor when Benyama about everything and he can have a conversation with you, but he doesn't come across as an arrogant you-know-what. Like Aaron Rodgers. He'll throw people under the bus, but do it in a very polite way that you don't even know that he's doing it. No, I mean, he was very direct yesterday when he said that these NBA superstars, they don't work as hard as he thought they did. So. But he said it in a nice tone. Did he? Them, them dunks and blocks, those things aren't nice.

This guy's human pogo stick out there. Just, yeah, he might be nice off the court, but that game is nasty. Can't wait to see what he does this year. My favorite NBA player, Victor when Benyama. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. We're going to take a break when we come back on the other side. You know, speaking of being nice, Trey Aikman was not nice to the Dallas Cowboys wide receivers.

I wish he wasn't nice to their owner. We'll start to wrap things up. I'll tell you about a few things that took place this day in sports history. You're listening to the JR sport brief. It is the JR sport re show here with you on the infinity sports network. This portion of the show is sponsored by the new 2025 Hyundai Tucson hybrid.

It has class leading advanced safety features like the available blind spot view monitor to make your ride more enjoyable. Dodgers lead the Mets 5 to 2 bottom of the bottom of the fourth. Yamamoto this guy got almost 60 pitches already, so maybe the New York Mets find a few more runs before he gets out of the game and maybe dive a little deeper into the bullpen. You know, right before we went to break, we did and take unfortunate dive into maybe, you know, just just coaches saying stuff in college.

They're supposed to protect the players big up the opposition. Got some big games. Alabama and Tennessee and got Ohio State trying to bounce back against Nebraska down in Austin. You got the Longhorns hosting the Bulldogs. We got some good games and coaches are known to be positive and and big up the competition.

Supposed to be, right? Well, not in the pros and the pros guys can get ripped to shreds. And one of the bigger NFL stories throughout the course of this week. We have heard Jerry Jones just lay into radio people instead of laying into his own team and misguided anger. But there is a there is a TV guy who used to play for the Dallas Cowboys or Hall of Famer. He's ripping into the Dallas Cowboys players, I guess because Jerry Jones won't do it. It's kind of crazy. Troy Aikman was on the ticket and he got into the the Cowboys wide receivers, including C.D.

Lamb. Take a listen to this. I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I thought that beyond this year.

And I think C.D. 's got to improve in his route running. And as a quarterback, if you're not certain where guys are going to be consistently, it's hard.

It's hard to play the position. And so that's that's what I see. I see I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they sometimes they run. Usually if they do, it's because they're anticipating they're going to get the football in that play. But if they're not, they don't.

And it all ties together. And so I'm not impressed with that part of it. Who the hell is going to argue it with Troy Aikman in that regard? What am I supposed to sit here?

Oh, yeah. I'm not watching these guys run routes. I'm watching the game. And I know they ain't got nobody worth a damn to come out there and really catch the ball outside of C.D. Lamb.

And then if I look at C.D. Lamb, not what Brandon Cook's currently out with, that knee issue, got an infection after having a minor surgical procedure. And you got Jill and Tolbert as the next best wide receiver after C.D. Lamb.

And with C.D. Lamb making, what, one hundred and thirty six million dollars, who's going to tell them to run better routes? I mean, Troy Aikman is yelling into the abyss, thinking about all of this. It's not something that Jerry Jones would say, right? And why doesn't Troy Aikman, why does just criticize Jerry Jones? Do us that favor.

Let's go ahead and do that. And speaking of wide receivers, the wide receiver for the New York Jets, Devante Adams. I told you earlier this week that the New York Jets, even though he has two years remaining on his contract, about thirty six million dollars each year, he ain't seeing that money. OK, the New York Jets can cut him and let him go.

But Devante Adams, he spoke to the media and he said, I'm trying to stick around for the long haul. I mean, I hope so. That's the plan. I mean, I want to I want to be here.

I never go somewhere in hopes of having to find a new home. So that's that's the that's the hope. Man, the hope is that you'll win enough Aaron Rodgers to want to stick around.

That's the hope. Anyway, what is another another AFC East wide receiver spoke. Tyree kill, he spoke to and after the New York Jets got Devante Adams, we just heard and after the Buffalo Bills went and got Amari Cooper, Tyree kill, who plays for the other team now, the one that doesn't have to a ton of low out there. Tyree kill says, man, we ain't worry about them guys.

They're still not the best receiver in the league because I am. And I stand on that. That's that. Yeah. What? What? That's it. As you want it.

I want my mom to send me this and say, yeah, you're talking your trash today because I am mad. No, I'm I'm I'm definitely happy for, you know, Devante man, you know, teaming back up, you know, with his old quarterback. I know that's obviously, you know, where he wanted to be. And for Amari, yeah, I think him and Josh Allen, those guys, those two guys were playing very well together because Amari is still like one of those guys that can get open, you know, so it's going to be like a good test man for our DBs whenever we play them.

But we got Jalen Ramsey on our team, he's great. Ah, picky, does does he know, does he know how bad the Dolphins are right now? He might, but also at the same time might be in denial. Okay. Hmm. What?

Anyway, that poor guy. He's just he's just trying to make a funny situation out of a bad one. The Dolphins are two and three. Even as bad as the New York Jets are right now, with two and four, they got more hope to turn things around than the Dolphins. Just be happy that you're not the Patriots. Let's just put it that way. And things are not looking good for the Dolphins.

I don't care what happens when Tua comes back, if he comes back, possibly week eight. It's the JR Sportbreeze Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We're not going to think about the future now. It's time for us to think about the past. It's time for this day in sports history. See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything and it was primitive and lousy and we liked it. On the JR Sportbreeze Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. It is the JR Sportbreeze Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network. Let's go back in time.

Today is October 17th. The year is 2024. For all my football fans, all my soccer fans, you know about Cristiano Ronaldo. He's Messi's arch rival.

Big and strong and pretty. The opposite of Messi. People love Messi. People can't stand Ronaldo. But anyway, on this day playing for Real Madrid, he went out there and passed Raul for the most goals scored ever for Real Madrid.

324 of them. His team beat Levante three to nothing. Let's take a listen to Ronaldo scoring the most to become Real Madrid's all time leading scorer.

He did in like five, six years. We need those type of voices to call our American sports. Then maybe not. Hey, October 17th in the year 2017. Hey, it was the NBA opening, right? Opening night for the NBA.

Good for them. This isn't a good back in time, OK? Because Gordon Hayward, he made his debut for the Boston Celtics and he ain't last long. Five minutes into the game, Gordon Hayward just signed a four year 128 million dollar deal with the Celtics. Kyrie Irving was making his debut or he was back in Cleveland since being traded to the Celtics. But Gordon Hayward broke his ankle and it was nasty. His ankle broke and went the wrong way. He broke his ankle.

He broke his leg. Even the fans, everybody in the if you were close, you just looked and they were praying for this guy afterwards. It was it was kind of crazy. Oh, my God.

Well, anyway, take a listen. Horrible. What better way with this young team is the guy that's probably hit the biggest shot in Cavs history.

They're going up. Oh, my goodness. Hayward came down so hard. Hayward broke his leg. Hayward has broken his leg.

Hayward has broken his leg. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

And that is how quickly a season can change. Oh, my God. Picky, that was both compassionate.

I don't know. Gruesome understand. Kevin Harlan encompassed everything right there in that moment for seeing that injury and probably never preparing for it.

That was outstanding. He broke his leg. Then that the season has changed. It's not over, but it changed. It's over. Oh, my God.

He broke his leg. Oh, man. You never broke nothing, right? I think we've gone through this. Yeah.

No, thankfully, never broke a bone. Uh huh. Me neither.

I'm not trying. Look at us. Same. Look, you know, it popped up on my feed today. You saw Don Baylor broke his leg when Vladimir Guerrero threw it. You the first pitch. Yeah. And then God bless Don Bailey.

He passed away not too long after that. It's like one thing one thing I want to do, Hickey, I want to go my whole life without breaking a bone. You're off to a good start so far. Am I?

I was going to say I think I'm halfway there. No, I don't know. I don't know.

I don't know. Whatever I get, I get it. I got to make the most of it. I'm not here for a long time, but a good time. You're damn right. Damn right.

But by the time I get too old, they're going to come up with stuff to keep me around forever. No, thank you. You don't want it at all. Hey, thank you so much to Chip Towers for joining us. Coming through from the Atlanta Journal Constitution and talk some college. Congratulations to the Guardians to run home runs to a piece and send the Yankees a pack. We're not packing.

Get in the game now to one Dodgers lead the Mets five to two in me. We just go. OK, JR Sport Reshow is over. We'll be back tomorrow. 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 Pacific. Don't move. Bart Winkler coming up next on the Infinity Sports Network, the J.R. Sport Reshow is done. Thank you.
