So our third and final hour. Welcome back. Good afternoon. I'm Jim Rome. The show is presented by FanDuel.

All right.

So last chance to get through. It's been a really good jungle week. One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six. If there's something that I've not gotten to that you want me to get to, or you want to get to yourself, man, just jump up in here. Take it.

Run with it. I've got a big ass platform with a big old bullhorn, and you can say and do pretty much whatever you want. Just have a take, don't suck. Come up in here. You have a phone number.

You've got our social media. You've got our email. You have the chat. Four different ways to get through. Like this guy on chat, Haunted Horse.

He conned me. Signed Nick's employees. They conned me. You're one of the richest men in America. All right, so we go to our next topic, and I've talked about this this week, but I feel like you can't talk about this enough.

I can't stop thinking about that massive game in Austin Saturday night because it really is a situation which could come to a head in the next 48 hours. Texas has to beat Ole Miss. They have to beat Ole Miss at home this week, and I'm not saying they will either. I'm just saying they have to. But they may not, because if they don't, though things are going to get really toxic, really fast.

Actually, more toxic. Really fast. They're already toxic.

Now, a loss would not necessarily eliminate Texas from making the college football playoff, but it would put them in a really brutal spot, and it would mean they would probably have to run the table. No, no, probably about it. If they lose a third game, they have to run the table. They have to win out because three losses in a row would necessitate that. But in and above all of that, maybe even worse than that is that the heat is going to be turned up on everybody in Texas if they lose a third in a row.

The heat on Sark, the heat on Arch, the heat on the entire program. The blame game is already begun. But watch how fast that entire house burns down if Texas loses this one. And by the way, they could. All hell will break loose if they lose this weekend.

The Longhorns need to step the hell up, and obviously, that's going to start with Arch Manning. We need to see a new version of Arch this week, or Arch might not only lose, he might also get his ass benched. Thankfully, according to Sardick yesterday, and I meant to get to it yesterday because he said this yesterday. He says Arch is a new dude this week. Check out Sark on Arch's current state of mind.

I would use the word edgy, and I like it. He's edgy right now, and you know I think that somebody texted me today that we lost the Ashucks kid, you know, and we've created something else. I don't know if we lost him. We created this, you know. We did, all of us, y'all included.

Me, the whole thing, right? Everybody on ESPN, we've created this, and so we'll see what comes out of it. But but he's edgy right now, and honestly, I appreciate that about him. At some point, he's got to fight back, and the best way for him to fight back is going out and playing really good football with his teammates and enjoy playing football with his teammates. And so, you know, I'm I'm looking forward to watching him compete.

Saturday night. Agree. Like my reaction. Finally, finally, you say Arch is pissed. Good.

You say Arch is edgy. About damn time. You say we lost the Ashucks kid. Great. You say that we've all created a monster.

Perfect, because that's exactly what everybody's been waiting for. What we were all sold that this dude is a monster, but he's been anything but.

So he better be a monster because right now he's just a guy. He's just a guy. This dude is just a guy. He was supposed to be a monster. He was supposed to be transcendent.

He was supposed to be generational. He's just a guy. If his name was anything other than Manning, he'd be just a guy on the bench. This guy damn well better be a monster, and he better play like one. Better late than never.

It's not too late, but it's getting really late, really fast for this dude and this team.

So hell yes, I want to see Edgy Arch tomorrow night, because the truth is. Edge is exactly what this dude has been missing. Arch has been playing with zero edge, zero juice, zero swag, and that's big part of why that offense is not functioning at a high level. I'm not saying he's without talent. I'm not saying he's without ability.

I'm saying he's playing without that edge.

So by all means, Arch. Be edgy as hell, man. Be pissed at the world. Be like Caleb Williams and go John Wick on everybody's ass. Leave the ass shucks bullcrap at the door, because we all know the guy on the other side is going to be ready to go.

We all know Trinidad Chambliss is going to show up with edge and juice. We all know that guy's going to let it rip. We all know Trinidad would love nothing more than to hand Arch a third loss, and to do it in Arch's house.

So Arch better be ready to bring that same intensity and juice and edge. I mean, there really aren't any questions about Trinidad Chambliss, but there's still plenty of questions about Arch. He needs to start answering those questions, stat, especially since Texas is probably going to be without their best player for this game, Collin Simmons, a list listed as doubtful, but widely expected to miss the game, and is considered to be week to week, which is pretty great news for Chambliss, and only puts more pressure on Arch and the offense. But, but I will say this: it's not all on Arch. The entire team needs to step up.

Sark needs to step up. Sark needs to coach and call his best game. They need to play their best game because if they lose, it will not only be on Arch. If they lose this game. All of a sudden, we're going to start hearing a whole hell of a lot more about Will Stein and Bob Chesney in Austin and on the message boards, even more than we already are.

Because that chat, that chatter is already started. Lose tomorrow, and that noise is probably going to be deafening. Make no mistake, this is an absolute must-win game for Texas.

So is this a get-right game that salvages their season, or is this the game that blows up reps and changes legacies and changes everything? Honestly, I don't really know. I know what I'm getting from Ole Miss. I have no idea, really, week to week, what I'm going to get from Texas. I just know Sark has got to coach them the hell up.

They have to win this game. It is a must-win game for UT. I don't buy this. If they lose, they're still alive. I mean, yes, but technically, yes, but emotionally, mentally, where is that going to leave them?

They were number one in the nation a couple of weeks back. You are going to tell me that it will? Technically, they're fine with three losses. The hell they are! They're not eliminated with three losses, but they're not fine with three losses.

In fact, they're the opposite of fine with three losses because they're three losses in a row. And then look at the schedule; they've got Mississippi State, LSU, and Missouri. You have to win this game if you're Texas at home, and you know it. Must win game. Can't wait to see this game, man.

College football is incredible this year. You just don't know week to week what you're going to get, but I know this: they have to win that game. Have to. UT fan, where are you? Austin, where the hell are you?

Austin, where are you? I'm waiting, Austin. I'm looking for you. I know you have opinions. Where do you come out on where the program is, where your quarterback is, where your coach is, what your chances are tomorrow?

How confident are you? How important is this? What happens if you lose this game? And and could they turn it around with a win, Austin? Where are you?

I'm not doing this for my sake, Austin. Where are you? One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six. Call me, Austin. If you don't want to call me, find me on X at Jim Rome.

If you don't want to do that, email me. Go long form, Rome and Have a Take dot com. Or if you don't want to do any of that, get over to our YouTube channel and just fire up the chat. Hit me up, Austin. What is going to happen?

I need to know. You know where to find me. Also, I'm looking for ATPs. If that's not too much to ask, ask the pros. Ask us anything you want.

Alvy is working on the week that was. We will have that before the end of the program. Packer fan, Evan Williams came in. You're welcome.

Some Packer karma before a showdown against the Lions. How about that? Let me go to Salt Lake. Salt Lake's been a good jungle town for a long time. Tom in Salt Lake.

Tom, good to have you on the show. How are you? Great, Jim. Appreciate the vine. Hey, I go back to '97 when you came into Salt Lake for the tour stop.

Yeah, love that. Just beat down Houston in the NBA playoffs, and now Houston Cougars are coming into town to play our Utes, and it's going to be another beat down. If you recall, Jim. Houston called in. It was a Houston hat called in, and he was wondering about the Jazz.

And our big chant at the tour stop was, "Where are you?" Because we just smacked them down, and we're going to smack down the Cougars tomorrow night in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Go Utes! Short and sweet, Jim. I'm out. Nice job, Tom.

Let's go. Of course, I remember that tour stop. No, I remember Salt Lake City. That was an awesome time. Awesome time, and I do remember that chant.

Hey, you know I saw your Utes last week in person when I was in Boulder, and they looked great in the first half. Not so great in the second half, but I hear you. Just want to make sure you know that I did see them. They looked sharp in the first half. They they looked every bit as advertised.

They looked like the top eleven team that they were coming in, and they removed the ball. Ed will they went right down the field on the Buffs in that opening drive, and then the second half, Colorado showed up defensively, and they were a totally different team, totally different game. Turned out to be a great game. Thought it was going to be a blowout, and it was anything but. One eight hundred six three six.

Eight six eight six, Bodie quote, Arch touches his hair a little too much, soft AF. Bodie, Bodie, is that what it is? Is that what it is, Bodie? He's running his hands through his lettuce too much, and if there's any way to tell a guy who's soft. Or soft AF, as if they're touching their hair too much.

I don't know, dude. I I kind of think it's a confidence thing. I think it's a mechanical thing. I think, hey, I don't know. Maybe there's something in that lettuce.

Maybe there's something in that lettuce, Bodie.

Okay, so Bodie, that I I wanted your reaction. I'm not saying you're wrong, Bodie. I'm just saying I I think that'd be probably low on the list of things that is his problem. I'm not saying arch is soft. What Sark said, what up, Bodie?

What Sark said was he got a text from somebody who said, "I think we lost the Ashucks." I'm not even saying that's the problem. You know who's like the biggest Ashucks guy ever? Freaking Eli. Eli was Ashucks as hell, but he was clutch as hell. Eli was cold as hell.

Eli not only was stacking Lombardi's, he did it in New York, and he was aw shucks as hell. He was aw shucks af.

So I don't think that's what that is. Let's see here, King Shark Forty Nine. Does the March for Arch include the transfer portal? San Jose State, Weber State, Montana State, Point Loma Nazarene, Team Doordash. Whoa, dude, dude!

I mean, I was going to address the first question: Does the March for Arch include the transfer portal? I think it could. I think it could, just not to those schools. Look, dude, he's falling. He he is not in any way lived up to expectations in any way, and he's fallen, but not that far, dude.

Not to Point Loma, not to USD, not to Montana State, not even to San Jose State. He could transfer. And I think Sark could have a real problem if if they miss the playoffs in both years that Arch started. I think they're both on the way out. Frankly, I'm not rooting for it either.

I like them both. I'm Team Sark. And I'd love to see arts turn it around, but this is Texas. This is a fifty million dollar payroll. They're not standing for this, and nor should they.

See, this is where it all changed. When you have that much money involved, they have every right to demand change. And then the question becomes, yeah, but you are going to buy SARC out in Texas? They probably would. In Texas, they can.

All right, when we come back, I am looking for ATPs. And more reaction. Hit me up. Oh, you know what I'm going to do when we come back. I'm going to talk about the Cavaliers.

Kenny Atkinson is going. Kenny Atkinson already. The Cavs are going. The Cavs already. The hell is the matter with these guys?

They choked away a 29 point lead already. Mid season form. Welcome to your most rewarding season ever. Only on FanDuel.

So I said it, Austin. Where are you, Austin? I just gave you all my thoughts on UT and the importance of this game. Where are you? And here it is.

If ever there was a day. For this guy to call, it is this day. I need to know from this guy what the vibe is like and what's going on. We go to Austin, the ultimate in market on topic, dude. Juan in Austin, Juan, dial me in, bro.

What is going on? How you feeling? What's up, Romi, my homie?

Well, Romi. You know I'm always calling about arch madness, but guess what, Romy?

Now there's Coach Stephen madness. There's O-line and special team madness, but it's a different type of madness. We're mad that we can't run the ball. We're mad the special teams. Makes bad plays at important times.

We're mad, Coach Stephen can't situational call great plays, and we lose fourth and thirds, and we're losing to teams that Texas has no right losing to. Texas is beating Texas, Romi, and in the ATX, people are not happy. You know, Jerry. It were kind of like Jerry says it was an all-in year. Coach Stephen was given a blank checkbook.

He got some great portal wide receivers, running back, some offensive line. He had the chance to hire OC Romy, but he's so stubborn. Instead, he hires a DC. And yes, Bunch Champ has been great. And Stephen said it would let him focus on the O.

The O line can block. I mean, the offense is even worse than we're like last in the SEC with offense and third down. Yes, Romy, Coach Stephen, his time is running out. This is it. This is a pivotal game.

Stevie, better get it right, or who knows what's going to happen? Like you said, Romy, I'm not going to repeat everything you said. It's going to be super bad here in Austin, Romy. War Arch getting back on track, and since Romy, you're dominating everything. You're taking over ET Radio.

You got regular radio. You got new listeners. War Romy now running for governor of this great state of California. Out, bro. It's gonna get crazy.

Not really interested in that gig, Juan, bro. I've never heard you like that. I remember when you first started calling this show. Juan, man, you were nothing but swag. I have never heard you like you're trying, you're trying to stay up, but I can tell that you're not up, and I get it.

You're right; you can't run the ball. That's part of that's part of Archie's problem. They can't run the ball. All of a sudden, Sark, who is a genius play caller, allegedly has his play calling called into question. You've got issues on the offensive line.

We know you have issues on special teams. Situational football is now an issue. There's a reason why you are where you are right now. There's a reason why Juan in Austin sounds like that. If I were to play one of his earlier calls next to that call, you'd be like, "That can't be the same guy." I can tell Juan; it's heavy, man.

It's weighing on you. You know you're in trouble. You're not expecting like one. You used to be the guy like I'm gonna show up and punch you in the face. We're gonna show up and we're gonna kick your ass.

We're gonna line it up and punch you in the face and kick your ass all the way down the field. That's not how you sound right now. And I'm not even. It's not even an indictment on you, my brother. You shouldn't sound like that because they're not playing like that.

I understand why you sound like that, but I want to make this point very clear. You sound nothing like the way you used to sound when you called this show and you talked about Arch Madness and you talked about UT. But then again, Arch Madness is nothing like we expected. This is why I'm saying this is one of the most important games, literally in years, for them. This is a must-win game.

It's not just for this season. There are legacies, there are reputations, there are decisions. There's a hell of a lot of money involved in this. This is really important, a must-win game for Texas, and I'm not sure they will. One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six.

I almost saw. I do see, bro. A self-glosser calling back. All right, I got it.

So there was Carolina Dave, who self-glossed. Then this guy called and talked about how he he was on the Wheel of Fortune. I'm like, oh, okay. This is how self-glossing works, or glossing works. Bro, you are now Wheel of Fortune, Dave, because he went on this long rant about, "Hey, man, I was in California once and I won thirty-seven ger, and I dominated." I am like, "Okay, bro, you are now Wheel of Fortune, Dave." So let's go there.

Why not? It's Friday, Wheel of Fortune, Dave. Yo, Wheel of Fortune, Dave. What's up, dude? What's up, Romi?

Yeah, that's got a good ring to it, but you know, when I talked to you guys the other day, I told you guys to Google me, right? David Sorenson, Winston Salem, North Carolina. That over fired me up.

So just like Kurt Zenetti, when he took that Indiana job, he told people to Google him. He went. I told you guys to Google me.

Now you got to that first story of. Wheel of Fortune day, right? But if you keep scrolling down, Romy, you will see I am extremely comfortable in Los Angeles. I'm extremely comfortable under the bright lights and on the big stage because last year in California, I went back.

Okay, I came back to Hollywood, and this time I was on the Price Is Right. This time. I rubbed elbows and shoulders with Drew Carey. I made it up to the big stage, and when I was up on the big stage, Romy, they opened these doors, and there was a Chevy SUV, and they gave me four chances to guess the price of that car. And if I got it in four guesses, I would win that SUV.

And on the third guess, Romy, I got the price right, and I won that SUV. And I took the cash option and came back to North Carolina, thirty grand. And California has been so good to me; it's been such a great state. I put that all on Cal minus two the next week, and that bet it. And I got fifty-five large, and I went and got me a brand new black Lexus IS.

Sports vehicle, and that's what I'm whipping around right now. That look, there's only one Dave in North Carolina, and you're listening to him. It is not Dave Canales. I'm better looking than Canales, and you guys are dealing with the champion, so y'all can call me. You and Matt Tabor can call me Will Fortune Dave, Carolina Dave, Prices Right Dave, Game Show Dave.

I'll give y'all a little to think on it. But you guys are now dealing with a champion, and I'm feeling really good and comfortable in the jungle. I love you guys. I can't wait to be a part of this program going forward, bro. When when are you going to become Pressure Luck Dave?

Wait, no way. You did this. Cannot be real, dude. Is that you, Sorensen? Is that you?

That this is unbelievable. All right.

So you took the cash and not the car. Look at Lauren. He's up there with Carrie. What do I do? What do I do?

Well, but Carolina, Dave. You don't need help. Why are you looking to the audience for help, man? You're the champion. You're the champ, dude.

I can't believe this. Hey, man, you want me to Google you? Hey, Holmes, I don't need to Google you. I have video of you that I'm playing on the show. How's that?

How's that? Google you. I just did you one better. I've got video of you. Ah, I don't even know how that game works.

I don't watch that show or Carrie. But you, bro, apparently know what's going on. You know what's up. Oh yeah, that's it. I know you got half the car.

Now you got to find the other half the car. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? Get the other half the car.

Do take sixty three. Take sixty three. Nope, nope. He's going eighty four. Eighty four.

Let's go. He did it. Damn, Price is Right, Dave. Holy crap, bro. Oh, dude, don't be hugging on her.

This dude's like, that's my rig, man. That's my rig. This guy, all right.

So, a car.

So this dude, this dude pulled thirty seven girl on the Wheel of Fortune, and he says to me, "Yea, Rome, you didn't Google far enough. I was also on the Price Is Right, and." I ripped the value of a car out of there, and then I got back home and I put that money down on. Did he say Arizona, Carolina, Cal? No, he said Cal. And then he won that and turned that into a new whip, a Lexus.

Bro, you are the champ because you know what? It's it's not like you're making this up. We have video evidence. Unless, unless you're stealing somebody else's personality, identity theft. Bro, is that you?

I can't confirm. Is that you? It could be identity theft. It could be identity theft. You could have found some dude.

You could be sitting at home, like I know, I anyway, I know this guy, or maybe you know the guy and you are pretending to be the guy. Or are you the guy? Anyway, this is a weird jungle development. Anyway, what do we do about the guy's gloss? Is he game show Dave?

Is he Cali Dave? Since his greatest moments happened here in Cali and not in Carolina. Is he game show Dave? Is he Prices Right Dave? Is he Wheel of Fortune Dave?

Is he Lexus Dave? Is he Straight Cash Homie Dave? I don't know, man. I just know that because of YouTube, there are things happening on this show that never happened before. I don't think that guy finds us.

I could be wrong. Wow, man. Anyway. He's comfortable in the jungle, though. He made that very clear.

I am comfortable. I love you guys. I'm comfortable. There's a new champion here. Comfortable, Dave.

Bro, you. There are so many glosses for you. Comfortable, Dave. I'll tell you one gloss that does not work for you, though, bro. Humble, Dave.

Google me. Humble, Dave is not going to be your gloss. We're not dropping that on you. This dude, I don't know. I'll think about it.

We we will find the right gloss. I already know which one's not right. Humble Dave. What else you got, dude? Is there anything else that we should know about you that we left out?

Did we not Google far enough, bro? The reason I didn't Google you is I don't even Google me.

So if I don't Google me, why would I Google you? Hey man, Google me. You'll find out. You'll find out what I'm all about. This dude's cracking me up.

Hey bro, I got news for you. If there was a smack off, I'd put you on the watch list. But there isn't a smack off right now. This dude is cracking me up. All right, champion Dave.

Not not so humble Dave. Wheel of Fortune Dave. Price is Right is Dave. Game show contestant Dave, what's the next one, man? Go on, my favorite one, Pressure Luck.

You got to go on that. No whammies, no whammies, no whammies, Dave. No whammies, stop! Stop it! All right, when we come back, ATPs and Alvy's week.

There was. If there were a huge call, it'd probably go to game show, Dave. Hey man, he's a champ. Ask him. He's comfortable here.

Ask him, dude. I love anybody who can get that comfortable here that fast. You're welcome, dude. You are more than welcome to come up in here. Game show, Dave.

Stay tuned. You're listening to the Jim Rome Show.

Yeah, I know, Alvy. I heard it the first time. All right, time for the ATP. Alvy's week to West is coming up. I'm just going through some of these ATPs and some of the reaction.

All right, so we're trying to find a gloss for Game Show Dave. This guy's has one. Hey, Game Show Dave, this is not me. This is just somebody else, because I know you're comfortable here and you love us. Travis in Oregon suggests that quote he's douchebag Dave.

Hey Tom, is that one of the things that we can or cannot say on our TV channel? I think that's not something we should be saying. D bag Dave, Alby Alby likes that. Alby thinks that'll stick. All right, let's go the ATP.

Ask the pros. Brought to you by O'Reilly Auto Parts. Think O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs. Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts people at O'Reilly Auto Parts at the Sandlot. Jim, In and Out Burger, or New York Hotel Burger.

War New York fries. Unwar New York rings. War Alvy putting on the latex rings. The latex rings, bro. That's so unnecessary because you know he's never used one.

All right.

So anyway, the the actual question: In and Out Burger or New York Hotel Burger? Dude, put me on the spot. You know I'm a Cali guy. You know In and Out originated in Cali. You know that was my first job.

You know I am immensely loyal to all things Cali. Straight up, you don't understand that New York hotel burger is the best burger I have ever had, ever. And I went to that same hotel for year after year after year after year, and my routine never changed. When I did the NFL Today on CBS, and I did it for the better part of ten seasons, and for most of that time, we were in that same hotel. I would go into the hotel, I would go right into the room, change into the uniform, and then go right to room service and wait for that burger.

And it never was anything other than awesome. I mean, I hate to say it. I love In and Out. Not even in the same area code. Not even the same universe.

You have no idea how good that New York hotel burger was. Like Jake Rome now lives in Brooklyn. He will come to Cali, get off the airplane, and before he comes home, he goes right to In and Out. All these kids do—they move out. They go right to In and Out before they come home.

If I go to New York to see him, I will go right to that hotel and get that burger before I see him. Turn the tables on the kid, Mikey Soriano. Doctor Tan Smack clones can't self-gloss, but is there a jungle gloss given to you over the years that made you laugh and/or you actually really liked? My personal favorite was Snaglio Ordones back in the day. That was a really good one.

I don't know. I keep it simple. I like Snagger, but but that was not Jungle, given. That was not a Jungle Origin. That again was from In and Out.

That was from my manager at In and Out, Dave Meadows. You call me Snagger. Say okay.

So that didn't count. Was there gloss from the Jungle? Hmm. I'd have to think about that. Rome, slice.

Would you ever be into having a dog again? I know the history of dogs in the Rome family is a sore subject. Scott and Sebus. Were Janet reconsidering the cat names and letting Rome name the cats? Private and happens to us all.

She's already commandeered the name. She hit me with her five favorites last night. She told me I went through a list of more than 500. These are the five finalists. You would not believe what's on the list, nor will you ever find out what's on the list.

Alvy, roll it. Welcome to the Jim Rome Show, presented by FanDuel. Going on. Hope you had a great weekend. Nice to be back.
