Not just for this year, but Forever. On the Infinity Sports Network, okay? I will be here. Tomorrow And Monday And that's it.

So we appreciate you for hanging out. Whether you just started listening or you've been listening for six years, wherever the hell you at. Thank you for being here.

Okay. The phone lines are open. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. We've had a busy show.

I gave you the final top six list. Ever. On the Infinity Sports Network. I gave you some of my best interviews, some of my favorite interviews of all time. It's impossible to give you six, but I did.

At number one on the list, I gave you Kobe Bryant. I interviewed Kobe Bryant at Richard Sherman's Celebrity Softball Game. It's one of the highlights of my career. I can't say my life. I don't necessarily mix the two up, but I enjoyed that.

I really did. We talked about Tua Tonga Valoa being benched. It might be Dolphin stole too to have a seat. We talked about the New York Knicks winning the NBA Cup last night. There's rumors that A.J.

Brown might be traded in the offseason, depending on how things go with the Eagles. Hey, thank you so much to Josh Moser for joining us to talk about. the Maumee Dolphins and everything that may or may not happen with them. And we got more to do as the show continues on. At the end?

Of course, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. I'm going to get some more of your calls. As we continue, So roll. Things along. Eight eight eight seven ten four ISN.

That's eight eight eight seven ten four I S N For tomorrow and Monday You can listen to the JR Sport Brief show on the Free Odyssey app. Your local Infinity Sports Network affiliate? Sirius XM channel 375 and a smart speaker if you have one. All good things. Gotta come to an end.

You know, as we uh went into the break and I took a bunch of your calls, I think we might as well call this guy Mr. Top Six List. The gentleman that we're going to speak to right now, eight eight eight seven ten four I S N Every top six list, he basically calls if he's around, if he's not traveling in Florida, if he's not in America. We want to talk to Alan in Toronto. This man has called me from day one.

When I joined CBS Sports Radio all the way up until now, I would say he is probably the most dedicated caller. to the J.R. Sport Reef Show. and so let's welcome back unless he decides not to call to morrow or Monday. 888-710-4ISN.

Let's talk to Alan here from Toronto, Canada. Alan, what's up, man? Yes, I talked to you a lot more when you were in ten to two when you move to six to ten, I could only get you occasionally on Buffalo, but when I can, I did. But ten to two, that was a perfect time. But it all depends.

But uh what what they say? What they say you must obey, so you had to go to six to ten, but uh you know, it's probably better for you that you went to six to ten.

Well well, thank you, Alan. I'm here now. What else is on your mind? You say both. I still remember your interview with him.

It was I think it was around twenty thirteen, and you were in New York City in stifling hot temperatures, and he gave you three reasons why The uh Jamaicans are the best sprinters and I really re remember that uh that interview. You remember that or you watched it or you googled it? What are you talking? You you watched that? No, I remember it.

From from twelve and thirteen years ago? Yeah, yeah. It was May May of twenty thirteen, yeah, because I was uh I was a big fan of Usain and I was very interested in hearing what he had to say. Yeah, me too. That's why I asked him.

You know what, Alan? Hold on a second, Alan. Let's listen to, I think, two of the reasons why Usain Bolt told me Jamaicans are so damn fast. Listen to this. One reason.

Give me a second one, bro. I think maybe the food. I think maybe the food. There we go. Because we eat a lot of ground food, like yam, potatoes, and stuff like that.

So we get it originally from the ground. Um And people always say, I don't know what true this is, that from slavery back in the day.

So we come from Africa and stuff, so it's different.

So I should be fast too, right? You should be. Oh, no, I'm fast. And by the way, people, go ahead and click right there. We got a second part.

I've hydrated. And your main man Hussein is actually going to show me and give me some tips on how I can speed up my game. It's almost impossible, alright? I stink. It's pretty bad, but we'll see what I can do.

Yes, that's shoutouts to Saint Bulk. Yeah, I never anticipated that, Alan. You know, sometimes I get phone calls and it's just like, do you want to do this? And I go, what? Yeah, sure, why not?

I'm like, sure, I'll do it. You know, I think I've done just about anything.

Well, that's not true. And you did it you did interview oh Michelle Obama, I just can't remember the year, but I do remember the interview and I was very uptight and I said, What's a sports guy interviewing the first lady? And uh, you handle yourself in a very professional way that you always did. You know, I was uh a little apprehensive at first, but uh. It worked out great.

You were you couldn't have done any better when you interviewed Michelle Obama.

Well, thank you. I appreciate it.

Well, thank you, Alan. Hey, I've talked to a lot of people, so I try my best to. You know, I've never walked away from an interview and somebody said, you know what, that guy sucks. I'll tell you this: if there's one mistake, One mistake that I made, and it wasn't a big one. 'Cause it's like, okay, whatever.

I interviewed So, how about that? You know, now that I think about it. I've interviewed Draymond Green. Even dating back to college I've interviewed Draymond. I have never met, I've never shaken hands with Steph Curry.

I've never met the guy. Never. Never married. And I certainly wish you the very best, whatever future whatever the future has in store for you. Nobody knows what the future has in store for anybody, and whatever it is, I wish you the very best.

Well, I have everything I want in a talk show host and more. You represent the three ingredients that I look for in a talk show host, class, intelligence, personality, and you have that in spades.

So it's it was a pleasure being on the line with you and uh I certainly hope for the best for you.

Well, thank you so much, Alan. One of my favorite callers, one of my favorite people to always talk to. Even though you always drive through America and you don't ever say hi to me here in Atlanta, I still appreciate you, and you certainly know where to find me.

So, thank you, Alan. Yeah. Always a pleasure. Yeah. Thank you so much.

Peace out to Allen in Toronto. Wow, damn. The last time I say buy to Allen, unless he calls tomorrow or Monday. How about that? Botcha, that feels like an end of an era all by itself.

Saying bye to Alan. That's true. He he actually slowed down though today. Today you slow down anyway. Impressive.

He it took everything out of him to just go ahead and slow down. Uh now, I was making that point about Steph Curry. I've never met Steph Curry. But the interview where I made a mistake. And it was a m minor mistake.

I was interviewing his dad. His wife at the time, this is where I got the mistake from. Do you know Steph Curry's mom's name? No idea. Oh, so, okay.

I used to know her name. What's her name? Damn.

Sonia.

Sonia, okay. Yeah, Sonia Curry. And then um What's his wife? What's his wife's name? You know his wife's name?

Steph's? Yeah. Aisha. There you go. Boom.

There you go. Aisha Curry. She's always in the news now for saying how much she doesn't like him or loved him or didn't expect to be with him. But anyway, that's none of my business. I was interviewing Aisha.

She had a whole cooking book line and stuff. And they gave me cooking products and stuff that I took home. God bless her. Thank you, Aisha Curry. Thank you so much.

But I was I was talking to all three of them. That's why I don't want to do an interview and talk to three people. Just give me one person to talk to. I don't want to talk to two people. I think I called Aisha, I mixed up the wife and the mother's names.

I did it once, and they just laughed. And I was like, oh, yeah, my bad.

Sorry. They didn't care. That's one mistake that stands out to me speaking to people. As long as it wasn't like a complete. Just a random name?

I feel like you're okay. Yeah, it's no big deal. It's like, who who talks to you two anyway? A lot of people talk to Aisha. In my spe what, the v the view?

Oh, more than the view. Who does she talk to? Every time I see her, she says something to somebody, she's getting him in trouble or saying things. She told the people on TV that Steph Curry likes her feet. Like, why are you saying that?

That's his business. And yours. Why are you saying that? That's true. But sometimes you just want to go on TV and say some crazy things.

Well, she's had her share of. of crazy things to say. Eight eight eight seven ten four I S N That's 8 at 8710-4ISN. Speaking of crazy things, Tuatonga Valoa, we talked about him being benched. He said plenty of crazy things all year long.

getting ready to take on the Buffalo Bills. Said he's not as good as As Josh Allen, I'm like, what type of quarterback says that? Like, in what sport does one of the competitors, like, verbally say, I'm not as good as that guy? He's supposed to keep those things quiet. But now Tuatonga Valo has been told you got to sit down.

Quinn Uers is going to start now for the Miami Dolphins, and ultimately the Miami Dolphins are going to tell Tua. We don't want you. This is like the beginning of the break up. This is what Tua had to say earlier today about being benched. Naturally, I'd say I'm disappointed.

I think it's normal. It's a normal human emotion. But uh You know, outside of that. I gotta do my part, my role here right now is to help whoever the quarterback is gonna be for this team, to lead this team, to help in whatever way I can. You know, to help the team win this game on Sunday.

What did Mike say to you? We just had a brief conversation about changing the police. What was your reaction at that point? Disappointed for me. I'm not happy about it, but you know.

Something out of my control. Yeah, his play was His play was in his control, and he played his way out of a job.

So there you have it. We won't see Tua. We'll we'll go ahead and uh Well Mostly quenures. Quenuz will go out there and get his first NFL career start. Dolphins don't got nothing to play for.

They don't have a general manager. They ain't got nothing, man. Good luck. It's gonna take him a couple years to get this one together. 888-710-4ISN.

As Santos. He's calling from Arkansas. You're on the JR Sport Break Show. What's up, Santos? What's going on, JR, man?

How are you doing? I'm excellent. What's on your mind? I just want to say thank you, man. I've been a celebrated with you for a couple of months.

And I just want to thank you for playing that track by MC Ren. You're welcome. I play more from all the West Coast guys, but I might get fired. I do understand. Hey, you do play some great East Coast music as well, sir.

I try to listen. I try to play a little bit of everything from all over the damn place.

So I appreciate you, Santos. Oh, not a problem, man. I'm definitely going to miss you because you and Amy Lawrence were my favorite rate. You gave me a reason to listen to the Infinity Sports Network. Um I'm going to miss you because You're not going to be affiliated with the news.

What's that work? Or stay tuned. Just keep up with me online. I'll be able to share some things in the new year, okay? I plan to, but the only handicap I have is I'm visually handicapped and I have a flip cell phone, so I'm not able to.

network that way, but I'm gonna attempt.

Okay, I hear it. I get it. I get it. Well, listen, you don't got one of them smart speakers? I do not, but I'm going to purchase one.

Yeah, get a smart speaker, and we'll get some things together. Santos, you try your best to stay in touch with me, too, okay? Oh, oh, I I look forward to it because you and Amy Lawrence were my favorite.

So I'm definitely going to miss you guys.

Well, thank you, Santos.

Well, happy holidays to you and have a good new year as well. Hey, I wish you the best, man. And if you ever get into another movie or another T V segment, Just give a shout out to New Orleans Saints. Although they suck But that's my favorite team, sir.

Okay. If they if they allow me to. Thank you, Santos. Appreciate you, man. I I totally understand, but thank you very much, sir.

You'll be safe, and I hope you have a great career. You as well. Thank you. I appreciate you. Santos from Arkansas.

Somebody asked me what movie I was in the other day. I could not remember. I'm like, damn, I don't remember what movie I'm in. It's like a Hallmark movie, you said? Yeah, it was uh Now I was wondering though say it wasn't a Hallmark movie.

It was a Christmas, it was a Christmas movie. I don't remember. I think it was on B.E.T. And you know who I played in that movie, Botcha? I played myself.

I play myself. Oh, yeah, name credits. That's good. I just JR. Who's, yeah.

And I was interviewing, I don't know the name of the movie.

Somebody was telling me about it, and I'm just like, you remember better than me about that movie. Do you have an IMDb? No, man, I ain't no actor. What do I look like? I'm an actor.

Well, if you're listed on the credits. It shouldn't it be there? Bruh. Bro, I don't know. I was in that movie.

They gave me a check, and I was happy with that. All I had to do was show up and be myself. And they, hey, do it this way, do it this way. I'm like, you brought me in here to be a radio broadcaster. You want me to interview somebody?

Let me just do what I do, okay? Telling me what you want it to look like in sound. Just leave me alone, okay? Why are you laughing? What's so funny?

Are they directing you on how to support? No, it's no different than going to shoot something that's pre-recorded in certain cases. Like me, look. I like to do things once and I'm done with it.

Okay. For all the YouTube videos that I've ever done, it is rare, slim to none. And I'm sitting around. Listen, I turn that camera on, I turn that camera off, it goes online. I mean, ain't no redos here on the radio, so it's live radio.

Ain't no redos, so. You know, sitting around doing a movie, I can understand. You want to have multiple takes and multiple cuts.

So you can use the best one. I get it. I understand. That's not what I do.

Now, but if you're asking me to do radio, then I'm used to what you need me to say. I'm going to give you as many options as you need.

So, hey, JR, do it this way, do it that way. Like, yeah, let me just do it on my way. Shout outs to a. A Frank Sinatra. 888-710-4ISN.

That's 888-710-4ISN. While I'm having this whole damn conversation, I'm trying to figure out a. The name of the movie, damn, I can't remember. Damn.

Like I have no like Where to go? Because there's so many Christmas movies. Yeah, I don't know, bro. It's one of them BET Christmas movies. That limits it a little bit.

Yeah, I don't know, man. I don't know. Do you know when it came out? Uh I recorded it in the summer of 2019. I think it came out in.

Was it maybe holiday heist? No, holiday something. No, you know what? I recorded it in like January. of 2019 and it came out in you know December of twenty nineteen.

Yeah, so it might be okay. There's two movies. It's about a musician. This young lady is a rising musician in the holidays, and she learned her lesson through. Christmas or something.

I don't remember. A soulful Christmas. No, that's not it. I don't know. It's a BET plus movie.

Well, you figure that one out. I'll try to as well. We got Tom in Connecticut 888. 710-4ISL. What's up, Tom?

Hi, JR. I'm blind since birth, and I'm eighty two years old, and I've listened to sports talk all over the country. And you're the best. Your personality, the way you let the guests talk and interview them and let them promote. What they do, and you don't yell and scream and hang up on the listeners.

And I have a question: Did you ever interview Mohammed Ali? Oh, you ooh, that's a good question, Tom. You see, I got a story for everything. Tom, the answer is no. The short answer is no.

But I have met his daughter. Uh Layla Ali. A couple of times, and if I walked by Layla and she walked by me, she would not remember me from a hole in the wall. I haven't seen her. And probably more than ten years.

I know her husband, also Curtis Conway, who played. For the Chicago Bears as a wide receiver. They're married. God bless them. I think they're still together.

But if I go back even further than that, before I even started the J.R. Sport Brief Show, Uh my uncle, who is uh now unfortunately uh a deceased musician, Uh he helped Layla Ali perform her uh entrance song at Madison Square Garden. Wow. Layla Ali's manager at the time.

So many people have passed. His name was Damon Bingham. And so I actually work with this gentleman, Damon Bingham. who was the son of Muhammad Ali's A photographer. His name was also Bingham, of course, his son.

And uh my uncle at the time, his name is Fat Man Scoop. As Scoop performed Layla Ali's song. And so she came out to the Champions here. And my uncle remixed it. And so it's pretty cool.

I was in Madison Square Garden. When Laila Ali walked out to the the ring. And that song played. And uh that day I didn't meet him. Muhammad Ali was in Madison Square Garden.

This has to be. I don't know. 2007, 2008. Um And I just remember everybody stood up and showed Muhammad Ali so much love.

So I've worked adjacent. But Muhammad Ali is someone that I did not meet, but I've interviewed his daughter a bunch and. You know, my uncle has even helped put together her song and I was a small part of that as well. Oh, that that's tremendous. Yeah, I'm going to miss you, but my son Stephen is going to find you, and I'll listen to you somehow.

Yeah, tell Stephen, yeah, he knows where to find me. Not that tough. Tommy, thank you. Appreciate you, man. Okay.

All the best. Shoutouts to Tommy for calling from Connecticut. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. I laughed.

He said, You don't hang up on nobody. You're right, I don't. Maybe like once, maybe like twice a year. Like it was, I think, last week, two weeks ago. Botch, didn't I have to call some guy, an idiot?

Was that two weeks ago? Yeah, right. It was like two weeks ago. Or three weeks ago. And then we had that one racist guy who called, what, like, two months ago, had to tell his ass never to call again.

Mm-hmm. It's like that happens like three times a year.

So if I got three jackasses calling me. In 12 months, then hey, consider it a success, all the damn people I talk to. 888-710-4ISN. Johnny's calling from San Diego. What's up, Johnny?

Good, J.R. Sports Brews. Keep listening on the radio. Thanks for information about NFL. MBA and major league baseball or college football and guests.

Okay. Thank you, JR. Nah, Johnny, thank you to you for calling from beautiful San Diego. You have a wonderful holiday season, okay? You too?

It is the JR Sport Brief Show here on the Infiniti Sports Network. 888-710-4ISN. That's eight eight eight seven ten four I S. And Yeah, we talked about Well, damn it, the end of this show. We know this damn station is gonna be ending.

I'm only going to be here on Thursday and Monday, and that's that's it. And so that's going to be coming to an end.

So we had a fun show, of course. I got about 30 more minutes. We'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. We'll take a look at more of your calls. If you want to call, you can.

888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN. It's like getting married. Speak now or forever. Hold your peace.

I mean, you could Find me on social media, JR Sport Brief, you can always talk to me there. But in this form, this format Yeah, it's going to be coming to a close. And how about this? Bach, this is this, that's not coming to a close. You said the fight is tomorrow with the idiots?

No, no, it's Friday. Oh, damn. Look at me. Yeah, we're jumping to the weekend already. Look at me.

It's Friday. Yes, Friday, I don't know when they're going to start their walk. Probably like midnight, but. Let's pray to God they can't. This is not the typical boxing crap.

Like, they got to start the. Can they decently start the fight? Let's just say. 11 p.m.

So everybody across the country can. Wouldn't 11 p.m. be a decent time? It would be. Yeah.

Come on. If I remember correctly, Jake Paul versus was it Tyson? I think it started like 11:30, 11:45. If I remember, I may be forgetting. I try to block that memory out.

We can't.

Well, because you saw Mike Tyson's ass? I forgot about that completely too.

So now you just brought that back. But yeah, it just wasn't a good fight, so I didn't want to remember it. Yeah, yeah, I don't yeah, no nobody w and not Mike Tyson is gonna fight Floyd Mayweather. Did you see that? He is?

Oh, my goodness. How much money do they need? I don't know. An exhibition enough to pay the tax man, I guess. I don't know.

That's going to be Floyd just running away for I don't know, three rounds 'cause he's probably told not to knock out Mike Tyson. Yeah, probably. Probably. And Anthony Joshua is the real boxer here. It's just, and now people are looking at Anthony Joshua going, why are you fighting this dude who's just a.

He's an entertainment boxer. He's not no real ass boxer. I mean, if we got into a ring, he'd probably beat my ass, but He ain't, there's levels to this, and his level is not on these other guys.

So, Anthony Joshua is here. And now you got Tyson Fury. He's one of the best heavy heavyweight boxers over the past twenty five, thirty years. I mean, he's over here saying Anthony Joshua is crap for taking this fight. Listen to this.

Just pick the kids up from school, or a school from Paris, and the kids. And I've just been sent a video of Auntie Joshua talking about if he kills somebody, he kills somebody in a boxing ring. I think, you know what? He's a little bit longer than tooth to be talking about. That he's 37-year-old at the end of his career finding a YouTuber, a Disney channel guy.

Who Tommy be? And now he's talking about killing him and all that to try and sell, please. Barking up the wrong tree, idiot. Um here's a fun fact, if I ever come across you, Bum I'm knocking you, Dead Spark out. I ain't a YouTuber or a man half your size.

I am him. The man. Um You're a classless loser. Coming off. A fifteen months knockout defeat to a local lad.

Imagine if someone from Morecambe knocked me out. You big bum, useless bosser. Geared up and I can't wait if Jake Paul knocks your park out, you'd be bummed. Ya Big Bum. I like that's my favorite Ya Big Bum.

He knocks you out your big bum. Damn.

Now he has to fight him.

Now we got botching.

Now that's a fight, okay? When Anthony Joshua finishes making money with this sham fight against Jake Paul, now Tyson Fury can come back and fight Anthony Joshua.

Now, that's a fight I'd like to see.

Well, is it going to be a fight that we want to see? Just is it, does he want to get money fury? Because I don't know. He had like, in that video, there were at least seven people in that car. It looked like a clown car.

Can he support that? Maybe that's why he's just trying to get a fight here. Can he support what? No, I think he's good. Tyson Fury has had some tough days and some dark days.

And so. The fact, like he said, that he was picking up his kids, God bless him. Uh, he he's still got something to do. I think he's doing okay for himself, so He's also getting a little bit long in the tooth. He lost his last two fights after basically beating the hell out of everybody in the heavyweight division.

So sign me up. We don't get too many top tier heavyweight fights here in America anymore. And the part that sucks, a lot of the top tier fights typically get moved to Saudi Arabia, and I think that's also had an effect. on how many people pay attention to uh you know, it was boxing in general.

So Yeah, Tyson Fury would be good, Anthony Joshua, but if they fought, it'd probably be in the United Kingdom. Probably at Wembley Stadium or whatnot, but there's a lot of Americans who'd be paying attention. Let's see. 888-710-4ISN. 888-710-4ISN.

Yeah, the sham fight is on. Friday. Tony Scalling from Baltimore. You're on the JR Sport Brief Show. What's going on, Jay?

I'm leaving from Round Away, and I'm listening to the show, and I didn't even know this was going to be your last show, so I'm glad I. I didn't say that. I didn't say that, Tony. Hey, what's going on? Wednesday.

Thursday. And Monday. Monday. I got you. Monday.

There we go. So today is not the last show. Let's not spread false information. I'll be here tomorrow and Monday, and that's it. Yeah, you definitely been, you know, you definitely been holding it down.

I remember when it was more so, I think it was coming on at 11, or was it more so like midnight at one time? No, I came on at 10 p.m. Yeah, that's what it was. And I remember I used to catch you late night and I I caught you now like when you come up for the uh when the I guess the regular Joint what we got here, 105.7 to fan when they finish with theirs, and you come on now.

So I've been able to listen to you. Since then, I haven't listened in a couple of weeks, but I remember one time when I was getting ready to call. It was a guy from Baltimore called his name Rashawn. He called a local station a lot so I recognize his voice. And he uh he told you up he was he was he was trying to sit up here and say that he didn't let him like that the Orioles were blowing the team up.

And you was like, man, like, what else do we have? And you was like, just get ready for football and get ready for the Ravens. And how is that looking for us?

Well, it looked good for a while. But that's why you have to wait for everybody to be healthy. It doesn't look good now, does it? I mean, we just we need some help and we need some. I mean, if we went out, we cool, but I mean, that that pack is New England.

That we got coming up is going to be pretty tough. I think they could pull it out, especially with Micah being out for the Packers, unfortunately, for them. New England, I think we can really, really get something going, but it just depends on With the Baltimore Ravens team, show up. You know how it's been going for the season. Wow.

They ain't winning no championships, so we can throw that out the window, okay? I mean, I got face, but I don't know. I mean, I'm a Ravens fan. Die honestly. Good luck.

Whatever happens. It's another season once the postseason starts, so who knows? But it's funny that you don't. Don't put no money on that one. Don't put no money on it.

I ain't gonna lie. I'm a gambler person. Ain't no big thing to me. I put it up on there. I was gonna say about the um the thing about uh Anthony Joshua, I agree with you one hundred percent, but I ain't gonna front, I don't wanna see that fight.

I don't I I think it'll be good for boxing, it'll be good for fans and Purchases or whatever it may be. I know it ain't too much of a pay-per-view since they're doing it in Saudi Arabia now. He's switching it over. But I ain't gonna front, man. I think Tyson Furrier would kind of give AJ a boxing clinic.

Like, what? Yeah, I I just don't I don't really, really want to see that. And then another thing I The first thing that uh Tyson Furry said, like when he first accepted the fight, he said he would put betting money on uh Jake Paul because of AJ having a a glass jaw. And that's True, too. I think if it goes towards these later rounds, Tony, yo, I'm telling you, yo, I'm telling you, I agree with him.

Tony, I am not going to sit around and dissect Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua. I'm going to turn it on. I am going who's the killer? I said he should kill him. Yeah, he he should.

But I'm gonna turn it on and watch the crap show just like everybody else. I'm not gonna waste a minute of my time analyzing this garbage, okay? It's enough to look at it in entertainment, but I ain't gonna analyze it. You can throw it out the window, okay? I tried to get in there with you on Monday for the official last show.

I don't want to give out false information. I definitely find it. Thank you. Thank you, Tony. I appreciate you, brother.

All right, you too. Peace. All right. Look at that. Marco Belletti, you don't come over here and get fault, you give good information.

Uh okay. Accurate. What do you say? Like, the news is accurate. You don't come over here telling lies.

I try to make it accurate, yes. You try. I try. Yes. You try.

Yes. You try. Well, Marco, it's been good hanging out with you, man. It's always fun. What are my highlights of the whole show?

Is talking to you, Marco? Ah, well, those are my highlights of my day, JR, to be totally honest. And this is It's been funky, man. The last few days and the last talking to a bunch of people and actually act got me a little bit. I think I got more emotional watching Rich Ackerman walk out the door for the last time.

I mean, what, an hour ago? Wait, wait, wait. It was today? That was it, man. Damn.

I didn't know that. No, yes. I didn't know until I walked in. He. It's his last physical day.

He's going to do Christmas Day from home. I'm pretty sure you're not on Christmas Day, J.R. I'm not going to be here. He's going to be here Monday? No.

No. This was the. I didn't know.

Now I got to call him tomorrow. Exactly. And look, for everybody listening to the network, that's the guy Ak is. He's going to do Christmas from home to help out the company. Think about that.

When this was his last update in the last day, after I'm pretty sure it was 28 years. Yeah, yeah. So to see Ak be emotional was tough for me to watch him kind of walk out and obviously to say goodbye to a lot of people. I mean, you and I will be still working together. We got Monday still, but it's still, it's just, it's weird, man.

It's so many years. A little bit different as well. I guess I don't see you guys all that. I mean, I see you, what, like a couple times a year, pop in, pop out. Yeah, but it's been like, I mean, how long we've known each other now?

It's got to be like eight years, right? Yeah, even before then. Yeah, it's been a while. Even before I moved, yeah. Again, this is a long time.

I mean, I've been here 13, and I feel like I've been here, you know, part of it feels like you've been here your whole life, and part of it feels like you got here yesterday. And you're talking to people that are leaving after 30-something years. Yeah. It's hard, man. Yeah, it's tough.

Hey, it's the way the business is going, you know, but. We'll figure something out, Billett. You'll figure something out. You let me know what that is. I will I will, and most definitely, Billett.

You, I'm not worried about. I I never worry about you. Yeah, you gotta worry about it. Yeah, we'll talk Belletti. We'll talk.

We'll talk. Anyway, it's not time for talking. At this point in time, it's time for a news flash. You just heard it, Marco Belletti. Listen up, football fans.

Yep. Chocolate ice cream? Sure thing. Barbecue sauce? Tides got you covered.

You don't need to use warm water. Additionally, Tide Pods let you confidently fight tough stains with new ColdZheim technology. Just remember, if it's gotta be clean, it's gotta be tied. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief.

Okay, you can do all the things. Do all of them, okay? Anyway, it's the end of the show. There's only, what, three more of these as well today, tomorrow, and Monday. It's time for a few things that took place this day in sports history.

Shut up. Back, back, back! Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore. But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again. It's time for this day in sports history.

See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything, and it was primitive and lousy, and we liked it. On the JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. December 17, 2025 is the year. Let's go back to 1991 because the Cleveland Cavaliers smoked the Miami Heat 148-80.

Do some math. That's a 68-point ass whooping at that time. It was an NBA record. Take a listen to this, courtesy of Andy Hoops. The Heat were down 20 at the half, which isn't too bad, and that happens sometimes.

But then they got outscored 75-27 in the second half. Both teams emptied their bench in the fourth quarter, but then Miami's garbage time players got outscored by 30 points in that period alone. At one point, Miami was down by 73 points. That's just really bad. And surprisingly, even though the Cavs scored 148 points, they did not have a single player reach the 20-point mark.

What's crazy is that record was broken in 2021 when the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 152-79. That was a 73 point. Beatdown. December 17th, 1993. Speaking of beatdowns, Julio Cesar Chavez.

This man retained his WBC Super Lightweight title. He knocked out Andy Hooligan in the fifth round. It was a 27 time. That he fought and kept his title without a loss. Let's take a listen.

This as it goes down, beating Andy Hooligan. This is the kind of punishment that I don't think Holligan's going to be able to. That was a good right hand that he landed that started to get. the attention of Chavez, so the Chavez then put on some kind of big licking on him. It's almost too much to watch.

Or Kenny watching very closely. I don't think they're going to give up in the corner, but he's got a broken nose. He's got his eye cut. It wouldn't surprise me if they stopped it in the corner. I think they did.

And that is That's it. You are correct, Bertie. It is all over. and beating Andy Holligan. Julio Cesar Chavez, he passed Joe Lewis's mark.

Of 26 straight wins. Julio Cesar Chavez had 27 at that time. The 7th, 17th. Excuse me, December 17, 2000. We talked about T.O.

earlier in the show. Terrell Owens, an NFL record, 20 passes, 283 yards receiving, and a touchdown as San Francisco beat Chicago 17 to nothing. Jeff Garcia was slinging around that rock. Listen to this touchdown pass by T.O. Pass from Jerry Rice to Terrell Owens.

It's already been passed. Bowens 49er touchdown. He's tough to play man to man. Jerry Azuma was on him man to man and Terrell Owens was just too big and strong for Jerry Azuma. Watch him see him play a man-to-man.

Now watch Terrell Owens here. He's gonna give him a little push with that left arm, and that was just enough to give him the separation to get that ball. Man, Tarl Owens is so much fun to watch. December 17th. Two thousand six LT No, not Lawrence Taylor, LaDanien Tomlinson.

He broke a 46-year-old NFL record. Most points all time in a single season. He had a touchdown run. As his team, San Diego, went out there and beat Kansas City. He scored 180 points listening to Danian Tomlinson breaking the all-time NFL scoring record, which still stands today, 186 points.

Tomlinson with 29 touchdowns, already a record breaking Sean Alexander's mark, which stood for just a year. and three games to play. Don't you feel that he's going to break that record on this drive? I do. Maybe here.

Inside the 10, maybe here. Touchdown. You get the feeling almost any time he touches the ball. And you know, we talk about what a great player he is and a great runner. I think the closer you get to the goal line, he even gets better.

Man, it's crazy to even hear John Madden's voice at that time. That was in 2006. Damn.

Al Michaels, John Matt, damn, that's 20 years ago, just about. Damn.

December 17th, 2022. It was a couple years ago, just three. The Minnesota Vikings. They were down 33 to nothing. And they came back to beat the Colts 39-36.

In Minnesota. This was and still is the biggest comeback. In NFL history, let's listen to the field goal. Greg Joseph kicked the game-winning field goal. To get the W.

This is Curtesy of Westwood 1. Joseph says he's ready. Here's the snap. Ball is down. The kick from Joseph is on the way, and it is.

Good. And the Vikings win. The Minnesota Vikings cap off the largest comeback in NFL history and win in overtime. Yeah, there you have it, folks. A few things that took place this day.

In sports history. Botcha, now that I think about it, I was able to pull it up. The movie was called Hip Hop Holiday. That's what I was in. Oh, I I was I looked it up I looked it up and I found like Neo and I was like Neo?

Why what does he do? I I don't know if I should tell it on the radio. No, I was just out with Neo one night in, I don't know, December or January. No, February. Of 20 before COVID, yeah, maybe January of 2020, out with Neo.

Yeah. And you just popped up? No, he's friends with one of my friends, and he's just Neo is just hanging out.

So. I'm like, Hey, I'm outside and there's Neil. But anyway, the movie was called Hip Hop Holiday. I'll watch it. What's it on?

Nah, don't do it, bro. Oh, wow. You'll see me in a movie. I got two scenes in a whole movie. I'm on air.

I'm on screen for a total of. Oh no. But Is a minute? Less, like 45 seconds to a minute, probably a minute. It's kind of crazy, you're not even in the cast list, which is disrespectful.

Is it? I looked at IMDV. You're not on the cast list. I got a check. That's all I care about.

Yeah, that's true. I don't care. They paid me. Jonah's here from Knoxville. You're on the JR Sport Brief show.

What's up, Jonah? You got to go quick. Uh Merry Christmas, man. How you been? I'm excellent.

What's up? Can I ask you about Hidden Hooker and his. They're looking at him at this point. Is he playing? Is he even playing?

Is he playing? Where is he? Uh I just Uh Just saw like a news article that said that they were looking at him. and maybe thinking about uh signing him. But they're just considering.

Oh, I had to look at this the Steelers? Oh, man, I don't know. Like. The poor guy, the last time I remember him, he was on the Lions, and his knees have just gave him crap for when he came out of college. That's what.

Did a mint, so I don't know. He ain't gonna see no time for this season. If he can latch on to a team and end up. In some mini camp or training camp next year, that'll be the best case scenario. But we ain't gonna see this man playing this year.

Good luck to him in the future, okay, Jonah?

Alright, yeah. Thank you so much, Jonah Faqua. I didn't expect to get a call on Hendon Hooker. Not at the end of the show. Anyway.

This is the last top six Wednesday show of the JR Sport Brief.
