On the free Odyssey app. Hey, here's an update for you: Monday night football, the San Francisco 49ers to lead the Carolina Panthers. It's to nothing. Yeah, you heard me right. It's the Carolina Panthers.
They're playing in a meaningful game. They got a six and five record. They could legitimately win the NFC South. NFC South sucks. Have you seen the Saints?
Good. Probably not. Have you seen the Falcons? You probably saw them. They're not all that good.
Beat the Saints yesterday. And then we got the Buccaneers who are just. They're hurt. And then we got San Francisco trying to keep pace. With the Rams trying to keep pace with Seattle, despite all of their injuries, San Francisco.
is seven and four. I'm going to give you an update on what the heck Christian McCaffrey is doing. We'll do that momentarily. We've discussed a lot. The Dallas Cowboys looking good with this new defense.
Scott Petrick joined us. They talk about the Browns. Joe Hoyt just came through and talked to us about the Dallas Cowboys. And we got into the Steelers. Old man Aaron Rodgers.
Looks like he'll be back against the Bills. LeBron James. Making his second r game, second start yesterday, I should say. Eagles fell apart against the Cowboys. The Ravens and Chiefs are Still looking alive, Justin Tucker I guess the chances of seeing him back on an NFL field, they're still alive.
Justin Tucker. is still rolling. Uh Chip Kelly's not rolling. He got fired by the Raiders, no longer offensive coordinator. And the Giants, they fire their defensive coordinator, Shane Bowen.
He gets the boot after the Giants lose another, I can't even call it a close one. It's like they blow every fourth quarter lead. imaginable.
Okay, so we've discussed a lot and of course Shador Sanders. At the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. And then what a weekend it's been. They had that big game by Archmanning. You got Lane Kiffin, who I think any minute now, he's gone.
That man is not sticking around at Ole Miss. He's ready to quit. And then, just even on the college side, a lot of bad news. Jordan Hudson is threatening to sue Pablo Torre. You got a UAB football player decided to stab his teammates?
What? Hmm. Damn I hope they hope they good. It's been a wild day. Anyway, you can call me up.
Here's the number: 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710. For ISN. You can find me online, I exist everywhere. I am at.
JR Sport Brief. In Santa Clara, right now, I told you about San Francisco, the 49ers. They lead Carolina 7. to nothing.
Okay, Brock Purdy, unfortunately for him, he's already thrown two interceptions. He did throw the only score of the game, one touchdown to Jawan Jennings, and Christian McCaffrey. Forty four yards rushing. 21 yards receiving. He has more yards.
by himself, Then the Carolina Panthers. Carolina Panthers. Have forty. Yards of total offense. And so let's see if they can get things going.
8 at 8-710-4ISN. That's 8 at 8-710-4ISN. You know, Christian McCaffrey. He was asked about this game. remember, he was traded.
Couple of years ago in 2022 From these Carolina Panthers as they were trying to rebuild. He was sent over to the San Francisco 49ers. Christian McCaffrey, did he have thoughts on facing his old team? Yeah, before the game, this is what he said. They really all are all important, and I think if there's any extra added emotion, you just let that come naturally on game day.
But no, I mean, that's why they say any given Sunday. You know, we're unlike other professional leagues where we have a limited amount of games, and each one is unbelievably important. Hey, each game is unbelievably important.
Well, right now. He is beating the living daylights out of his old team. You know, he wants to get a touchdown on the board. We'll keep you up to date and let you know if it takes place. 888-710-4ISN.
That's 888-710-4ISN. Bob is here. From Rhode Island. Hey, Bob, you're on the J.R. Sport Reshow.
What's up?
Okay, JR. On the sports what? Excuse me, Bob? Yeah, you're live on the radio, Bob. Amen.
What's the name of your program? Uh hold on a second, let me think about that, Bob. Uh The botchers is Bob okay? Is he all right? I hope so.
Okay.
Okay, let's try again. Hey, Bob, go ahead. Bobby, good to talk to you.
Well, thank you for being here. What what's up? What's on your mind? When are you going to get a real job? Like like let's try again.
Hold on. WAN, WFAN, do you do that once in a while? A whole do a real job? Yeah, but Bob, where do you think? I can do a sports talk, Shaw Hard and do as well as you do.
You got that accent. Oh, hold on, Bob. Hold on. Bot your way. Has Bob been in a time capsule?
Where's Bob been? I don't know. Let me see here. Let me see. Give me a second.
I can see the last time he was on air.
Okay.
Hold on. Well, not when he was on air. I'm just thinking about, I'm talking about him physically. Hey, Bob. Understand this, Bob, okay?
I started my career on the radio on WFAN in 2017.
Okay, I have no radio experience. You talk about a real job. I don't know if Bob has heard of a thing called YouTube. But I've been working in broadcasting and sports, I don't know, more than 15 years, yeah, much longer than that at this point in time. And I actually started my career on YouTube, online, grew my show out into millions of viewers.
I was on NBC television in New York City. I worked on NBA TV here in Atlanta, Georgia. I've been on WFAN and doing this show, Infinity Sports Network, CBS Sports Radio, for quite some time. And I have my own company called Sport Brief AI Solutions, where I work with Google. Bob, have you heard of uh YouTube or Google?
No, I haven't. Oh, okay. There, there you go. That's because the ratings are very bad to begin with, probably. On YouTube?
Okay.
All right. Bacher, at this point I'm I'm entertaining myself.
Okay.
Alright. Uh Okay, Bob, do you have anything else? Yes, I have. I want to talk about the Football Giants. That's my team.
Okay, well that Yeah, they're not too good. What do you have to say? Not too good. They're pathetic.
Okay, hurry up. They should have got rid of the general manager, Shen. The same tad time as they got rid of Dayball, and they finally smartened up and got rid of the defensive coordinator. I don't like any three any any one of 'em. Yeah.
That's how much J-Bob knew. All right. They should have got rid of him a couple of years ago. That's pathetic.
Well, let's talk about let's talk about what Daniel Jones does come January. I don't know if you'll be singing the same tune. Let's put it this way, Bob. The defensive coordinator who was fired, it was Shane Bowen. He got the boot.
He was fired by the Instrum head coach Mike Kafka. And if the New York Giants really want to be a A bleep show, then they would have fired Joe Shane in the middle of the season and they would just start from scratch. I don't think that's an advisable move. But the New York Giants, they did do a first step. They have one here.
And thank you so much, Bob, for calling from Rhode Island.
Well, we heard from Mike Kafka. Why the hell did you decide To get rid of the defensive coordinator now. It's very simple today. Mike Kafka says, I watched the tape and I realized, yeah, we suck, but I knew this already. You know, I just had an opportunity to to watch the tape.
Look back at a few weeks, watch a lot of the defense, watch a lot of what was kind of going on, the communication. and just felt like this was the right time to do it, you know. When when you got it when I got the job You know, quickly, I didn't want to make a lot of rash decisions and jump to anything really quick. I wanted to have some time to sit back, evaluate it, look at it. and kind of figure out what what the best best best thing to do was.
you know, wanted to be um wanted to be you know calculated how I handled it and you know I thought that today was the right time. Yeah, let me know how the New York Giants do next season when the rookie quarterback is hopefully healthy. And Cam Scatterboo isn't on, you know, WWE Raw. you know, getting pushed around. And New York Giants this season is just Well It's a waste.
It's a waste. And not not what New York Giants fans Certainly used to. By the way, Shane Bond wasn't the only coordinator fire today. A more famous coordinator got the boot. That happens to be Chip Kelly, let go as the offensive coordinator.
for the Las Vegas Raiders. The most you heard about Chip Kelly is trying to convince Ashton Genty To, I don't know, get into a different stance, and they haven't been able to get any semblance. of a running game going. Pete Carroll typically very jovial, not in the mood after they lost to the Browns 24-10. Ashton Genty Once again, not able to garner more than what, 50 yards on the ground.
Pete Carroll, he talked about why it was time to let go of Chip Kelly. Yeah, I hate that we had to do this at this time. Just uncharted waters, basically. But we worked for a long time trying to come together and communicate and trying to get the so it fits the style of play that we want to play with. And we didn't quite get it done.
You know, and I could feel it coming that we were, and I was working at it, you know, and Chip was working at it. And he's been a phenomenal coach, and his past is extraordinary of all the things he's accomplished. But at this time, I just felt like we needed to take the next step. And we were kind of staying the same, and staying the same. And so it wasn't good enough for our fans and for our guys.
And so that's why we made the move. Damn, he's like his past wasn't good enough. Tell me about now. Everybody knows the NFL is a what have you done for me lately league? What have you done for me lately?
Not what you did. In college, not what you did, and as an offensive coordinator somewhere else, what have you done for me lately? And the Raiders have just been a disaster.
Okay, you got a guy like Geno Smith. He got sacked 10 times. You can't generate nothing on the ground with Aston Genty. And then you got a rookie QB. Not that he had anything to do with the defense, but you got a rookie QB who came out and Shador Sanders.
And in his first career start he he wins the game.
Okay, one touchdown, one interception. and Shador impressed enough, that Dylan Gabriel Is still going to stand on the sidelines, even though he is now out of concussion protocol.
Next up. For the Browns. The 49ers. And Shador Sanders, he's going to be back out there on the field as the starter. Kevin Stefanski, the head coach of the Browns, he made the announcement earlier today.
Shador will start this week. Obviously. Yeah. Number one job of a quarterback is to win.
So excited to get that first win under his belt. And then next thing is improvement. And that's what young players do. Certainly young quarterbacks do. You get one game better, and that's just from working at it.
So that'll be our focus. Yeah, Shador will play against the 49ers in the next game and uh Unless Miles Garrett has 20 sacks for the Browns. Yeah. Uh Brock Purdy's gonna have to be a part of the ground. But I think ultimately the 49ers will go out there.
And I think they'll beat Cleveland. Their defense is going to have to get the job done as they typically do. Speaking of some other quarterbacks, it looks like Joe Burrow is going to be back from his turftoe injury to play the Ravens on Thursday. Of course, Thursday is Thanksgiving. Head coach Zach Taylor, he spoke to the meeting.
He says, Yeah, I expect Joe to be out there. I anticipate him playing, but we'll continue to work through the week. I'm not going to declare that definitively. Worked through the week, coming off an injury, he's done everything he could. He put himself in a position to do his best to play yesterday.
And we'll continue with that mindset. But he looks like he's in good shape right now, and he'd be ready to go.
Okay, looks like he's in good well, he ain't been doing nothing. He's been standing around trying not to screw up his foot any more than it's already screwed up. And so we'll see them take on the Ravens, who now have a record of 6-5 and share the lead in the AFC. North. And he says he expects Joe Burrow back.
Well, Joe Burrow expects to be back as well. He put a note up on social media and he basically said, Well, um I'm back. And speaking of uh being back, one of his teammates Not good by any stretch of the imagination. Jamar Chase apologized. or for spitting.
He put out a whole social media post and he basically apologized to everybody except for. Jalen Ramsey specifically. That's it. Yeah, I apologize for my actions. Of course, you can't specify that you you spat on a guy.
He put out an apology. This is not who I am. I'm sorry to the fans, the organization, all this. Ain't good on him.
Okay, and I guess uh this is this is PR work. But at the end of the day, Uh You're going to have to do a whole lot of work. It's going to take years. Matter of fact, it may never happen. Folks may never change their mind.
uh about Jamar Chase.
Okay, New England went out there and beat Cincinnati yesterday 26. to twenty Next time we see the Bengals, it'll be against the Ravens on Thanksgiving, as I. mentioned. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
Somebody also, he got hurt. Joining a long list, Baker Mayfield blew out his left shoulder trying to throw a football yesterday. What else is new?
Well, I guess trying to air something out. Of the Rams, they smashed Tampa Bay 34-7. Matthew Stafford looks like he's on his way to uh the MVP award. And Baker Mayfield, it looks like he's going to be avoiding a surgery.
Okay, Baker Mayfield, he was ending the game in a sling. And well, Todd Bowles, he spoke today and gave an update, never happy. No, that's the preliminary thought right now, and he'll have it this afternoon, then we'll reassess it then. Is that an injury that a quarterback can play with on his mom throwing shoulder? I'm not sure yet.
Is it a matter of weeks, games, a couple of weeks? Or is that too early to tell? Too early to tell. We'll wait for the MRI. Then when we come back, we'll assess everything then.
Yeah, nobody knows. This poor team has just been beating the hell up. Buccaneers have lost three straight games. They got the Arizona Cardinals up next. Are we going to see Teddy Bridgewater versus Jacoby Brissett?
Oh my God. Who. Who wants that game? Nobody. Yeah, good luck to Tampa Bay.
I I just think they're too busted up. as so far here throughout the course of the season. Mm-hmm. Hey, how about this as it stands right now? We're at the two-minute warning.
San Francisco leads Carolina seven. to three. Yeah, just a couple of minutes away from halftime. I'm guessing we can expect a little bit more offense before this game concludes. Of course, we'll keep you up to date here on the JR Sport Brief Show.

And then we had a horror story. At a UAB out in Birmingham.
So we'll talk about all of that. We'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history.

They were down to the final seconds here in the first half. And Carolina Panthers are trying to get some points up here. On the board. San Francisco currently leads the Panthers 10-3 here. in the first Have And Brock Purdy not having a great game, forgetting it, not having a great game, he's having an awful game so far.
One touchdown.
So three Interceptions thrown. Christian McCaffrey on the other side. forty three rushing yards to go along, with twenty one yards. Uh in the air. And so the Carolina Panthers are trying to take advantage and have been able to do so.
Despite the fact the 49ers have just given them the football, Bryce Young has thrown one interception. Rico Dattle, they can't get things running or going on the ground as well. Rico Dattle with 19 yards rushing. And so not an exciting half of football, not by any stretch of the imagination. We've seen four interceptions between the two quarterbacks.
But let's see if we get a little bit more offense on the other side. Juwan Jennings accounting for the only touchdown of the game, hauling in a pass. from Brock. Purdy. We'll keep you up to date with the game as it continues on.
Of course, we're going to have to talk about its conclusion when we are back on the airwaves tomorrow at 6 Eastern. Three Pacific. This is looking ugly, but you know, before we get out of here, I do got to show love. To Arch Manning, Arch Manning having a solid game, especially given the fact that there were so many expectations for Arch Manning. Heading into the season with Texas, he's had his ups, he's had his downs.
Uh but God bless 'em. He had one hell of a game. A crazy game. They beat Arkansas 52-37. Archer Manning.
Three hundred eighty nine yards, a career high in passing. Four touchdowns. He ran for a touchdown. He even caught A touchdown. And next up for Texas, they got Texas ANM.
That'll take place the day after Thanksgiving. And so it's nice to see that Arch Manning is a on the receiving end from a a little bit of love. It's nice. I mean, even Vince Young was out there showing love, and Arch Manning is like, ah, that was pretty cool.
Okay, whatever. Listen to this. Yeah, it's great. You know, it's it's cool having Vince around. Uh he was at the hotel last night.
He's always uh encouraging us and I can reach out to him for advice and he's just uh a really good guy. Uh he kinda talked to the team a little bit but then left so I didn't have time to talk to him but um you know I can reach out to him and he'll uh he'll give me advice, which is cool. Oh, that is funny. That is hilarious. I'll explain why it's hilarious.
Uh Botcher, I don't know if this is something I should be sharing on the airwaves. Uh I don't know how long ago. Maybe ten plus years. I don't know. It was a long time ago.
I also Asked Vince Young for advice. Uh we happen to be outside at a uh An establishment. And I passed Vince Young and didn't expect to see him. Oh, hey, what's up, man? How are you?
He said hello. And I he gave me advice on the uh the club that I should go in and check out next. I asked him for advice and he came through in a clutch. We were down in Austin. That's a team player.
Yeah, he's I was like, okay, what a guy Yeah. I said, where can I find something to look at late at night? And Vince Young had the answer. He's the boss out there, and he came through with the clutch. Bachelor, let me tell you.
This place that I went to They were serving breakfast. That's how long this place was open. They were serving breakfast. Oh my. Yeah.
So he he knows his spots. He I think he's been been around there. Oh, yeah, he said, J.R., go here. I said, Really? He said, Yeah, go there.
I said, Okay, I'm gonna go. I was there so long they had a breakfast buffet. I said, What is going on? I said, It's time for me to leave. What am I doing out here?
Anyway, shout outs to Vince Young. Oh, anyway, shout outs to Arch Manning. He's doing a damn thing. Even his coach Sark, who by the way said he's not leaving Texas, Steve Sarkeesian, is just like, yeah, Arch is getting better day by day. Yeah, I I think the thing that um I'm probably most impressed with is his poise.
You know, even going into the game, he feels different in pregame than he did two months ago. You know, and even in the moments tonight when things broke down a little bit, he just seems so under control as he was avoiding the rush and keeping his eyes downfield. You know, I think Arch. Two months ago was just dropping his head and running as fast as he could, you know, towards the line of scrimmage. And I thought tonight he exhibited some real poise, you know, moving in the pocket, keeping his eyes up, and making some plays down the field.
And, you know, I was hard on him tonight like I'm hard every game. You know, I think there were plays that I would love for him to make even more than he had. But that's the beauty of. growing as a player. That's the beauty of being coachable as a player, and he's extremely coachable.
He wants to be the best that he can be. And so there's more out there for him, and he can be even better. But he is playing at a high level, and he's playing at a high level at the right time for us. And it's what they want.
Well, he better play at the right level when they take on Texas AM because if he stinks in that game, everything that he just did against Arkansas. They're they're gonna throw it out the window. Nobody's gonna care. I mean, you want Arch to have a solid Enter this year as he returns next season with Sark.
Okay, speaking of not returning. Can we stop the charade? About Lane Kiffin. I mean, we got all the reports about Lane Kiffin and his family going to Florida and going to LSU. We get a story about Omiss giving him an ultimatum.
He says, No, that's not true. He doesn't say anything about staying. And then we get news, a report from the athletic director saying. that we're gonna find out and we're gonna get an announcement after. The game.
One I'm just like, are you kidding me? Are you really kidding me? We gotta get through the egg ball. And then we're going to get an announcement. What is he going to say?
Hey, he's staying? We gotta wait a week for that? That man is out the door. It's just a matter of where he ends up. And you want to know who's going to get screwed?
Most likely, all the students. At all miss. 'Cause here we got a team. It's on its way to the damn college football playoff, and the coach is on his way out the door. Yeah, he knows how to burn a bridge.
Go ask the people at Tennessee. But Lane Kiffin put another X on the board. People at Ole Mints, they're gonna hate. His Guts. This is going to be a Very interesting drama.
uh on the back end. And speaking of drama, oh my goodness, I can't even I saw this story. I had is this true? We had a UAB player. stab two of his two teammates.
before they took on South Florida on Saturday. They go out there and play the game they lose 48 to 18. I'm pretty sure nobody was up for playing in a damn football game. After two of your teammates got stabbed. And so, this was a rookie, a red shirt freshman, I should say.
Daniel Mincey. He was charged and arrested with aggravated assault and attempted murder. Yeah, two teammates, excuse me, who had to go to the hospital. This took place at their Football Operations Center a few hours before the game. And you just gotta go, what?
I've never heard of such a thing. Like, this guy had to have some type of mental breakdown to stab anybody. let alone your teammates?
Well, I'm not uh I guess I am speculating. First thing I'm thinking is like, whoa, did they have a fight? Did they owe money? Was there a woman involved? This was just.
Nuts. After the game, unfortunately, head coach Alex Mortensen, God bless the guys for being okay there. Identities haven't been revealed. This is what he had to say about the stabbing. As you've heard, we have one player in police custody and two players who are in stable condition after sustaining injuries.
More than anything, I'm grateful that those two players are in stable condition, and we will make sure that they have the support that they need. I hope you will join me in lifting them and their families. In your thoughts and prayers, as our team is doing right now, too. And I also ask that you'll please respect their privacy as they deal with what happened. Due to privacy concerns and the ongoing nature of the police investigation, I can't provide any further details about the incident or the individuals involved.
The team as a whole decided they wanted to play today. Uh but we did have several players who understandably chose to sit out. And we certainly respect that decision. Our priority remains the health and well-being of our student athletes, and we want to make sure they have access to take advantage of the support and resources available to them. Man.
I feel bad for the players and then Think about the families, right? You wake up on Saturday, it's Saturday afternoon, and you get news, oh, UAB players stabbed Whoa, whoa, who's stabbed? You That's just a mess. I can never remember. anything like this happening.
We all know about Gilbert Arena's situation and the guns in the locker room. And teammates are going to fight. They're going to get into it.
Sometimes you're around these dudes, in some cases, more. than your own families. You you gonna get to pushing and shoving and having some arguments, but And to stab two guys? I don't remember any of this. Balletti, you ever heard of something like this before?
Not that I can remember. Uh it sounds uh that's beyond extreme. Yeah, you got one teammate stabbing two other, and then they went and played the football game. I'm just happy that the uh. The guys were okay.
Man, this is just. I was going to say that's the thing, is to make sure everybody's okay. You know, no. long-term effects or anything like that, but Uh no, I I can't Look, you kind of mentioned it, and it's truth. We're around people that We work with, or you know, if you're teammates with, you're around them more than your own family.
That's really, that's bottom line. That's usually what it comes down to, and that's just the way life is.
So there's got to be times where you're around people that you don't particularly like. to get it to this level and to be I mean it's just it's It's hard to fathom. Yeah, we don't know the reasons, but there's no justification. No. Fanny, it is.
It doesn't matter what the hell went on. And you kind of imagine, look, we've been in locker rooms. Like, it's funny how we kind of take this stuff for granted, but like, you know, one team, they're a family. You know how many guys are in that locker room that really just don't like each other just because they're from all different walks of life. They're just built differently.
They think differently. They're from different places. And they're just shoved together. And it's like, well, you have to become family. And, you know, you got to do what you got to do to be able to get things done on the field.
But that doesn't mean you have to personally like each other. That doesn't justify it to get to this level though. Yeah, there's no no hey You don't like somebody at work, get some Gerald Wisdom. Not too crazy. Don't stab them.
Yeah. Yeah. I think that's th that's that's probably that's is that rule number one? Yeah, don't stab. It might be.
Don't stab. I mean, people sabotage each other at work in various ways, but. Yeah, don't stab. It don't stab nobody. It's not good.
Not good. Mm-hmm. Anyway, this Monday night football game, it sucks, Marco. I was going to say, not good. Not good, J.R.
No, not good. Definitely not good. Hard to hold on to the football. Yeah, a lot of lot of interceptions here. You know what?
We're gonna take a break. And when we come back, we're going to wrap the show up. We'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history.
I guess one way to solve a problem with somebody is to sue them. Not necessarily an equivalent of two teammates, but apparently Bill Belichick's girlfriend got a beef with somebody. Man, what a what we just heard from Marco Belletti, they're getting ready to start this uh in the second half of this ugly Monday night football game. when San Francisco leads Carolina ten to three.
Okay, just kicked off things here in the third. Carolina will get the ball to start. A Brock Party? Three interceptions. Bryce Young, one.
interception. And nobody's out here holding on to the football. And Christian McCaffrey, 43 yards rushing. about forty yards in the air, Only touchdown is from Brock Purdy to Jawan Jennings.
So at least they got some type of score. Up on the board. San Francisco leads Carolina. 10. Two.
three. Right before we went to break we talked about something pretty horrific. We got into that unfortunate stabbing. At UAB, we had one teammate. Who decided it'd be a good idea to go out there and stab two of his teammates.
Thank God they're in stable condition. It appears that they will be okay. Fine. Good. Good news, great news, bad circumstances.
Speaking of an additional legal matter, we found this out today. Jordan Hudson. Who's the girlfriend of Bill Belichick? Yeah, the young lady that's she is young, 50 years his junior. Uh she is suing Pablo It's foray.
Okay, I mean, what are we doing here? I mean, you want all the news and information, you want this to leave. And us suing him is not making that go anywhere.
Okay, Pablo Torre has devoted several episodes of his podcast to Hudson and Her relationship with Bill Belichick. He even reported that at one point she was banned from the UNC football facility. North Carolina, Bill Belichick, and their president and Or GM, whatever the heck these called now, at North Carolina, Lombardi has basically said none of this. is true.
Well, she says that This is uh not the case. She says, P.S., I'm suing you, Pablo Torre. This is what she put on Instagram. And she put her media pass You know, online. I don't know.
This is when people just seem like jackasses.
Okay, because she has a media pass and then she goes, Hey, Pablo Torre, I'm going to sue you. Why do you got to be so nasty in public? Like, why do we got to go back and forth? You reported one thing, it could be true, and if it's not, just move on. And this is one of the reasons that Bill Belichick looks like a joke.
He has his girlfriend out here just uh Now he's suing. Ugh. Eh, just whatever. Pablo Torres said, you know, just, hey, come on a podcast and discuss it.
So apparently he is a. Not all that concern. And so to think Bill Belichick, typically someone. Out of the limelight, staying away from the media. He got his girlfriend threatening to sue people on the internet.
Just, what a world. Bill Belichick, you're looking like a joke. Anyway, it's the end of the show. There was a point in time where Bill Belichick was respected. Right now, he looks like a clown with his current situation.
Let's go back in time and to a few things that took place this day in sports history. Check. Back, back, back! Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore. But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again.
It's time for this day in sports history. See, back in those days, we had radio and you couldn't see anything, and it was primitive and lousy, and we liked it. The JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger, and I'd kick your ass. Hey, today, November 24th.
The year is 2025. And if we go back in time. to 1960. Will Chamberlain, who's playing on the Philadelphia Warriors, he said an NBA record. The man had 55 rebounds.
55 rebounds. As Philly, they lost to the Celtics 132 to 129. There's a lot of misses. Listen, God rest the soul. This one, Whip Chamberlain, talked about those 55 rebounds against the Celtics.
The thing I remember most about the 55 rebounds, but when the game was over, That I was probably more tired than I've ever been in my entire life. And also, though, I also was probably. As happy as everyone can because not only It helped us to win a game, but it was against like the best rebounder that I've ever knew of and against the best team that ever played the game of basketball. And I knew that this is what I was supposed to do if I really wanted to dominate the game, was to rebound. And it was something also very gratifying about it.
You know, you go up there and you kind of grab that ball and you squeeze it and you say, it's mine. Wow. Yeah, I mean, damn, 55 rebounds. See, everything that went up, it came down with it. November 24th, 1977.
Bob Greasy playing for Miami. He threw six touchdowns on Thanksgiving as Miami went out there and beat the Lions. Listen to these NFL reporters just kind of going on about Greasy's sixth touchdown game. Bob Greasy threw six touchdown passes in a game. Six touchdown passes in a season?
Bob Greasy? Short one, Brian Greasy? No, we checked. It wasn't Bob's son, Brian. Shockingly, it was indeed dear old dad.
I never knew that until I walked into this room. You're talking about a guy who might not throw six passes in a game, much less six touchdown passes in a game. Bob Greasy came out firing. His passes were not exactly things of beauty. They didn't ask him to do much more than turn around and hand off to Zonka Kig and Mercury Morris.
You know, you could have given me like 10 guesses and I would have never said Rob Reese. Yeah, people couldn't believe it. November 24th, 2011, something else people didn't believe until it happened. We had two coaches for the first time. going against each other.
That were brothers.
Okay, Jim Harbaug taking on his brother John. John still with the Ravens. Jim at that time with the 49ers.
Well, the Ravens went over the top. Of the 49ers, 16 to 6. Listen to these hard boss take each other on for the first time ever. Brothers, love you, man. Love you too.
I'm so proud of you. Ain't no matter how it comes out. Brothers, that's right. You can't change that. Exactly right.
Exactly right. You think of Harbowl in 2011, the first time that John and Jim Harboff faced each other. And of course, all the focus is on the two brothers. What about the parents? Guys, who has it better than us?
Nobody. Our players are starting to say that. Steve Vashati said that to me the other day. You know, it's rubbing off. Who's got it better than us?
Nobody. Who does have it better than spotty? Yeah, well Brothers, brothers.
Well, now the other one, well, John, is still with the Ravens, and we see Jim trying to turn things around with the Chargers. November 24th, 2015, the Golden State Warriors beat the Lakers 111 to 77. What was the significance? The Golden State Warriors. They set the record for the best start in NBA history.
They started 16-0. Steph Curry had 24 points and nine assists. Listen to the final call. As the uh the Warriors set a record. Yeah.
Not the great Celtic teams. For the great Laker teams. Or even the Michael Jordan Bulls or the Tim Duncan Spurs. None of them have ever started a season 60-0. Nobody has started a season 60-0 except the Golden State Warriors as the horn sounds of the final score 111-77 as they knock off the Los Angeles Lakers.
and have started the season 16 and all in all time NBA Mark. Yeah, not fair when you put Kevin Durant on a team with Steph Curry now, is it?
Okay, November 24th, 2018. Kellen Mond. This guy had a two-point conversion. He threw it to Kendrick Rogers and the seventh overtime. As Texas AM went over LSU to 74 to 72.
I mean, damn it, there were so many overtime games or so many overtimes this uh Set a record. It was too many overtimes. I remember this game. Take a listen to the ending. You can hear Andrew Monaco.
The snap to Kellen. Kellen rolls to his right. Kellen stops, fires back over the middle. Times a conversion. Kendrick Rogers and the Aggies win.
74, 72, and 7-OTs. Here's your rivalry. Yeah man, ain't nobody trying to see seven overtimes, man. It's too many. Nobody wants seven overtimes.
Anyway, I wish we had a better football game tonight. Oh, by the way, yeah, exactly. Those were a few things that took place. This day. in sports history.
It has been November 24th all day long. Law. Monday night football, uh not Not all that damn better. Yuck. Ten to three.
About 12 minutes and change left here in the third quarter. San Francisco leads Carolina. Ten to three. Yeah. Let's see if the Panthers can score a touchdown.
Let's see if the forty-niners can hold on to the ball. As we've discussed, Brock Purdy, three interceptions on the day, uh Brice Young. A one. interception. Um Of course, we'll talk about this game and its implications and what it means for the week coming forward.
