Reddick. A little jokey joke by another head coach and Chris Finch. And so we've got you covered. We've talked about it all. Hey, thank you so much to Dan Walkin.
He came through to talk some college football, courtesy of Yahoo Sports. Thank you so much to Tom Carroll for joining us. He came through. To talk about the New England Patriots, the first team. To pick up nine victories so far this NFL season, Tom came through to talk about.
The Patriots, and we got more to do as we continue on with the show. We'll give you an update on all the injuries in the NFL over the weekend. At the end of the show, we'll talk about a few things that took place this day in sports history. And then if you have YouTube T V You got E S B N and Disney back.
Okay. They've come to An agreement. You can now watch ESPN and all this other stuff. And I don't know. Your bill is probably going to go up by a million dollars, but at least you can watch.
E S B N Good for you. Anyway. If you want to call me. That's free. I don't know how much you had to pay for your phone, but calling me, speaking to me, that's free.
This is not Miss Cleo. It's not that phone number that you used to call late at night. If you call us.
Well, I can't say that. Talking to me is not going to cost you anything. I'm not charging you. 888-710-4ISN. That's 888-710-4ISN.
Yeah, I don't know what type of phone plan you have. Maybe you call me and you do get charged. I don't know. Don't hit me with a bill afterwards. Use your brain, okay?
You can find me online. That is at J.R. Sportbrief. on Twitter, X, Facebook, Instagram, All other things. Hey, bacha, I put up that uh that photo you saw you see me with D D P?
I didn't see it. I'll check it right now. I'm off my game. He gave me he didn't give it to me. He said he had hold my championship belt.
I said, What? I said, I'm not holding this belt. He said, I'm going to hold it with you. I said, okay, great, because I ain't holding this thing. I don't want to hold somebody's championship.
You know, it's not my championship. Why do I want to hold it, right?
Well, if you guys are like part of a faction, you know, you could be like his manager. You want me to just walk around holding somebody else's belt like I'm a punk? No, I've Paul Heyman does it all the time. Just carry somebody's belt? Yeah, because he's their mouthpiece.
He just he talks for him. I don't want to carry somebody else. Unless I'm whooping somebody's ass. I don't want to hit somebody. I don't want to hold somebody's belt, man.
Come on. I don't know. I would hold someone's belt. I'd be there like. their their third string guy who like helps Cheat matches.
I do that. The third, third string belt. All right.
Well, listen, Bacha. You you come down to Atlanta. We'll we'll do some uh DDP yoga and uh I'll I'll see if Diamond Page will let you hold this championship belt, okay? Yeah, you won't let me hold it, but it's all you. Oh, okay.
How do you know he won't let you hold it? He knows I'm a heal at heart. You're a bad guy? Yeah, he knows I'm heal.
Okay, alright. What he was a bad guy too. But he's also he was also good. I think at this point he'd like to be considered face and good. All wrestlers, they're bad guys and good guys, right?
Yeah, it's all. All part of their personalities. John Cena was a good guy.
Now he was a bad guy.
Now he's a good guy again, I see, huh? Yeah. questionable decision there. But yeah, he's good now. What on the radio, what am I?
Am I a bad guy or a good guy? No, your your face. I'm a face, okay. I'm not a bad guy. I think your face, I don't know if you're like.
You can't be super baby face 'cause that means people can like What? Like, babyface is someone who's like absolutely a good guy, great good guy. Face is like someone who's good but can flip. Oh, so I can be a bad guy.
Well, if you have to. Like if a caller's rude or you have to be.
Well, there was that time with Never mind with don't never mind don't say your name, I'm not getting in trouble. I was a bad uh South Carolina thinks I'm a bad guy. Right, I'm a heel in South Carolina, that's good. Uh good and yeah, it's good to be a bad guy. Being a bad guy's good, right?
Sometimes. Everybody loves the bad guy. Listen, You think about some of the greatest villains in entertainment, right? Aren't they like I if you had a if I had a choice If you say, Who do you like more? Do you like The Joker?
Or do you like Batman? I'm sorry, I'm rooting for the Joker to torment him. May am I bad for thinking that? Uh, a little bit. I I I think I personally I like Batman more.
I want to see the bad guy. I like what. Listen, it's Star Wars, okay? When the Sith comes out, the bad guys, and they come out in them black hoods. Like I like Yoda, I like Yoda.
I like Yoda.
Okay, when he started the new Yoda and the new Star Wars, he's running around flipping people with the lightsaber. I like that. But. Typically When Darth Vader is choking people from across the room, I'm like, yeah, choke that. Peon.
Like, I love it. I think it's great. Yeah, Darth Vader is cool though. I like bad guys. When the predator is running through the jungle or the streets of LA.
Ripping up drug dealers and all types of stuff. I'm like, yeah, that's my guy. I like bad guys. What's that other? The alien.
Oh yeah. Yeah, he's r I love bad guys. Yeah, I depends who they are. Because personally, some of them are like, Yeah, you're not. I can't justify that.
But some of them, yeah, cool. Hannibal Lecter, you like Hannibal Lecter? Uh, he's kinda funny. Is that too much? Is me liking him, is that too much?
Uh 'Cause he ate people? Is that is that bad? No, I wouldn't say that. He just he was He's super smart. He's kind of funny.
I can see why. Yeah, I no, I don't mind that. Here's some bad guys in the world of sports, bad guys I don't like. Draymond Green would be a bad guy. I don't like him, pain in the ass.
Um Hmm. Dennis Rodman was a bad guy. I don't know how I felt about him. He's just weird. Um Hmm.
Like Dylan Brooks, they call Dylan the villain. He's a pain in the ass. Don't like him. Uh Who's a bad is there a bad guy in the NFL? Do we have oh yeah.
We we did. Um Hmm. No, well, the bad guys are gone, right? No bad guys in the NFL anymore. There's a lot of arrests, but like a truly bad, bad guy?
I mean, on the football field as a bad guy. Yeah. Someone who's like intentionally Horrible out there? No. Like, uh, Nandamakin Su used to step on people.
He gone. He's not playing anymore. He's a bad guy. Yeah, you can see. I'm gonna trade stocks after the game, but during the game, I'm gonna step on your throat.
Yeah, maybe Jalen Carter. Spits a lot. Oh, yeah, he's a bad guy. He spit on a guy to open up the season. He spat towards Dak.
Yeah. That's pretty bad. Yeah, that's a bad guy. That's a bad guy. Uh There's no bad guys in the NBA.
Yeah, Draymond is the biggest bad guy in the NBA. Yeah. Dylan? Dylan Brooks is up there, but Dylan Brooks isn't good enough to where it's like. You care.
You care. Yeah. Is there a bad guy in uh baseball? Bob You could say the entire Dodgers or Yankees. Aw, they're not bad guys.
Well, because they they they got talent that's That's like Shohei. Like, you talked about being a baby face. Like, Shohei Otani is. I was gonna say he's as American of a what is that? What do you call it?
What? He's American. What? Apple pie? What is it saying?
How's it going? I don't know where you're going with this one. He's a true American patriot? No, no. You we were talking about how pure and good something is, right?
And then the saying is, he's as American as apple pie, but he's Japanese, so he can't be. Uh, my point is, Shaw Hail Tani just seems so pure and innocent and good outside of people making gambling jokes. Like he's the good g if there was a good guy. Aaron Judge and Shohi Otani would be the good guys. of baseball.
Damn it, they just won the MVP. But there's not a guy in baseball. Who's hated? Like, there ain't no Barry Bonds walking around right now, you know?
Well, Machado has kind of beef with everyone. Yeah, if you're a Dodgers fan. Yeah, brewers too. Yeah, but Barry Bonds was just universally disliked across baseball. You know, a couple of days ago when we did the top six list and some of the biggest, worst, bad trades of all time.
And people started naming names whether they got traded or not. And they started naming all time jerks, somebody like Albert Bell. And We don't we don't have that jerk. in baseball right now. Like you somebody steps up to the plate.
And outside of absolutely being a destroyer, like, I don't know, a. Vladimir Guerrero walks up to the plate at Yankees Stadium. And we know he's getting booed. But there's not one player in baseball. Who every stadium he goes in, he's not just getting a crap boot out of them.
We don't have one. Altuve, just for the cheating? Yeah, but even that feels passe. Like, I feel like we're past that, no? Yeah, I'm over it.
It was, what is that, eight years ago? Sports needs More bad guys. We need more bad guys. that people don't like. Like you can go out there and respect somebody.
And and not when I say don't like It's not a matter of oh, you know, this guy did this on the On the news, I saw what he did on the news, and he's drunk driving, or he did this. We don't need those types of bad guys. Trust me, we got enough. pieces of trash just walking the street every day. We got enough of that.
I mean just to be loathed. to be dislik here we go. Bocce is a bad guy, and he's a wrestling fan. Halliburton right? He's just hurt.
Yeah, he just he he I feel like the villain, you have to have. Like, Trey Young is technically a villain to the Knicks. It's just you have to. Piss off. A lot of teams.
They spat at them in the garden. Yeah, so it's like you have to ignore the ton of teams enough to where they remember you. Yeah, Halliburton's really a villain. I mean you talk about a manager He had his dad. His father was out there talking trash to Giannis.
Like that is that is the epitome. of bein' a jerk. Like not only are you going out there putting in work and shutting a crowd up, You got your dad coming out, spouting off at the mouth? Like, what are we doing out here? Yeah, Halliburton is right there with uh with Draymond.
Just Insufferable players, these guys who are just annoying as hell. The NFL, I don't know who that guy is. I know people don't like Patrick Mahomes. Really not. I I guess Kelsey maybe 'cause of his girlfriend.
Uh I don't know. Yeah. There's not a polarizing NFL player right now. Which is sad. We need a bad guy.
We need a yang and we need a yang. I need Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen to not play golf. in the off season. I need them to hate each other's guts. That's what I need.
Sports needs villains sports needs bad guys. You know, I wish Victor Wembanyama grew he may not be able can he grow a beard? He can't grow a beard, right? He's got a goatee, which means there's potential, I guess. Oh, there's a whole lot more to a a beard than just having a goatee.
Oh. He needs to grow a beard. And just be angry and I I don't know. Shout outs to the villains. Shout outs to the bad guys.
We need more. Shout outs to. to Diamond Dallas Page. Botcham, my back feels good. I told you my back feels terrific now.
Yeah, he does wonders. Just keep doing it. I I'm a do I'm a do the D D P yoga every day now, man. I'm trying to Trying to keep my I can't believe he still told he's gonna be about to be seventy years old Bacha, he was moving the weights, he was Doing the calisthenics, and he was just his balance is crazy. I'm like, this guy's about to be 70.
Years old. And I get it, he's been working out his whole life. I'm not a professional athlete. I didn't play in college. I'm just the guy who exercises.
I'm trying to stay alive. Botcher He was to the shock of nobody. But he was out there just He he's a professional athlete. He hadn't He was outdoing, we were doing stuff, and I'm just like, damn it, I should be out doing him. This guy is older than me.
I'm hanging in there with him. No, I had to do less weights and all of that stuff. He's amazing. Hey, he'd probably get back in the ring too if he wanted to. I don't know about taking the bombs but like he'd probably could get in there.
I I think you could bust somebody up for a little while. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Damn.
And I'm saying to myself, We got all these athletes with all these injuries, they got all this money. We got older guys who are just in all types of pain, I I don't know. Maybe there's a stigma attached to I don't even want to say yoga. Like, what DDP does is beyond yoga. But there's a.
There's a stigma attached to it. getting down on the ground and stretching. I mean, we've heard from Lebron James. A big part of what he says is Been a key to his longevity. I know his sciatica's been acting up for the past seven months, or several months.
Is being able to stretch and be limber and be loose. I just Man, I will get my ass on the floor. Awula I'll go ahead and do whatever I need to do. It's kind of crazy. Wow.
Good luck to. LeBron. He's working out with G League is he dunking? You just said that he needs to be a role player. Yeah, he can dunk.
Well, he can still dunk. It's just, you know. Do I need LeBron to take I don't know, seven threes a game and step back and do everything crazy like that? No. He doesn't need to do that, but he's He's the second best player.
You think Austin Reeves is better than LeBron right now? I just think Austin Reeves is potentially better right now. We haven't seen LeBron play.
Okay. All right.
Look. I'm not.
Well, who am I to say that a 41-year-old guy next month is, you know? Gonna come back and just shock the world? I think there's a possibility a lot of people will just, I don't want to say be eating their words. Austin Reeves needs to handle the ball. LeBron James needs to come off of Baltimore.
I I just think there's a possibility a high one. That a lot of people are just gonna go, you know what, never mind. Yep, Lebron is still out here doing it. And and maybe not. Maybe he will have hit the skids.
We got Chris Paul in the NBA right now. He's been benched. I think he's averaging two points and Three and a half assists shooting like twenty five percent from the field and it's just like Chris Chris Paul's career is done. Going to be his last year in the league. Maybe we'll say the same thing.
about LeBron. Let's see what he does when he comes back with his uh His sciatica leg.

four I S N. Man. We got all these NFL games coming up over the weekend. We got all these college games. You know what, let's go around the world briefly or quickly.
about some of the things that you can expect to see. Or not to see.
Okay, week 11 of the NFL season got started last night between the Pats and the Jets. The Jets suck. The Patriots are now 9-2. And then we got some other big matchups. How about Sunday night football?
We have the Lions and the Eagles. We all know the Lions are trying to get to the spot that the Eagles are in, and that's just being Super Bowl champs. But if you ask Nick Siriani, they are the champs. He's been dealing with all this AJ Brown drama. Nick Siriani is like, listen, folks, this is just another game.
I don't care. We're viewing it as our next game. You know Obviously, every game we play in the NFL is huge, right? This isn't any other sport. NFL, you have a limited amount of games.
So every game we're looking for as an opportunity to go out there and play to our core values and an opportunity for us to get better. And that's how we'll think about this one, too. Yeah, they're the defending champs. All Nick Siriani is thinking about is how much of a pain in the backside AJ Brown is. You can bet you're behind.
that they're gonna try to get him the ball early. Hopefully they don't feed him the ball enough. where they end up feeding the Detroit Lions interceptions. We'll see what happens what they end up doing. Aiden Hutchinson, uh this might be just another game for the uh Philadelphia Eagles, for the Detroit Lions.
No. He's like, man, we've been waiting on this one. We gotta beat the champs. We've had this one on our calendar. We've been looking at this one on our calendar for a long time.
So, coaches are going to have us ready. We're going to be ready for this game. And we really see this as a must-win. Yeah, the other great game that I believe is going to take place will actually happen before this one. We got a a game and uh Second game.
What do they call it, Bob? The afternoon spot? What do they call it? Oh wait wait wait what? The game that we You know, you got the early game, you got the late game, and then you got the prime time game.
What is that game, the second the second set of games on Sunday? What do they call that? A four o'clock site? Yeah, but is it yeah, at four o'clock if you're in in New York, Botcha, come on. Uh, probably just the uh the l the late window.
Yeah you go. Come on, these are four o'clock. Stop thinking about New York. It the world doesn't revolve around you, okay? I know, but like Eastern Standard Time is usually how they promote things.
Yeah, because you're in New York, Botcher. I know, it's all I know. Oh, anyway. The second window of games Okay, the afternoon game, the late game. We're going to see the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs have a record of five and four. They can't afford to take another one of these losses. The Broncos are 8-2, even though they're barely getting by all these games that they're winning, getting by on the skin of their teeth. And we know the Broncos have a great defense despite a lot of their injuries. Alex Singleton's now out, and Sotan has been out.
There are a lot of injuries out there. But despite all of that, Patrick Mahomes says They still tough. I don't know what you're talking about. Having great protection schemes, changing up the looks for them so they can't just tee off, and then I think just going out there and getting the ball in my hands whenever I need to and then take shots whenever I need to as well. Yeah.
Bow nicks. Quarterback of the Denver Broncos. People are like, Man, you need to drive the ball down the field. You need to go out there and do it. They're having difficulty converting on third downs.
I mean, they barely beat Las Vegas. That was an ugly game. And Bo Knicks is like, Yeah, man, everything that we go through is just like a stepping stone. They have a really strong defense. They're going to provide a different challenge than what we've seen and we've got to execute.
On all levels. Yeah, you have to execute on all levels. I mean, we know you cannot throw with Patrick Mahomes.
So I think that Denver is going to get slapped with the reality stick. I'm going to expect the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Broncos this Sunday, improving their record to 6-4. And the Broncos are going to fall to 8-3. I think the Broncos, I mean, outside of that defense holding them down, if they get healthy, I think the Broncos are a lot of fool's gold. I would not put a stake in the ground for them.
We got another great game in that second window. We have Seattle. and the Los Angeles Rams. I've been saying this for a long time. I will never ever ever ever ever he'd have to win a championship.
before I trust. Sam. Darnold. Matthew Stafford, I trust him. He's playing like an MVP candidate because he is twenty five touchdowns to only two interceptions on the season.
They just smoked the injured 49ers. Seattle is going to try to stop the Rams from winning five games in a row. this is going to be a good one.
Okay, and even Puka Nakul is just like Yeah, Seattle, they got that front four and then they got the defensive backs and Woolen, who all of a sudden I think knows how to play. Puka Naku is like, I'm gonna bulldoze through all of them. They're tough. I think it's going to put our fundamentals to the test. I think some of the things that we pride ourselves in the run game and in the past game too, the detail that we have in some of these play calls in pre-snap and post-snap will be put to the test this week.
Okay, what about the guy throwing you the football? Matthew Stafford, what are your thoughts on trying to run away from Leonard Williams? Really good football players across the board on their defense. I mean, they're playing lights-out defense when you look at it. They're doing great against the run, affecting the passer, obviously, you know, scoring on defense, doing all the things you want.
Everybody talking about defense. Defense, defense, defense. I guess defense does win championships because Sam Darnold, the guy who said most famously he saw ghosts, he says he's worried about the Rams' defense. Of course he is. They're doing a really good job.
I think they're up there, if not number one, in forcing turnovers. That's always tough whenever you're going against a defense like that that can punch the ball out, take it away defensively. Yeah. Yeah, that's going to be a good match. I mean, those are my games to watch.
Those are the games that I'm going to really be paying attention to: Seattle and the Rams, Eefs and the Broncos, and, of course, that Sunday night football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions. Those are going to be games I'm paying attention to.
Some other things you should take note of. Looks like Brock Purdy is going to be back in action. Brock Purdy, uh Looking healthy. And Mac Jones is going to be time for him to go out there and take a seat as the 49ers get ready to take on the Arizona Cardinals. Don't expect to see Marvin Harrison Jr.
in that game as he's been dealing with appendicitis. We don't even know if he's going to be available for the next several weeks. And do not, do not ask his head coach, Jonathan Gannon. He is Captain Miserable. He was asked about his star wide receiver's injury.
And let's just say he didn't want to answer questions about his availability this weekend or and beyond. Is Marv a one-week thing, you think? We'll see. We'll see. Who is smacking him on his way into ju into the job?
He is just so miserable. He needs a He needs a pet. Botcha, get them. Hamsters make people better, right? No?
Hamsters. Don't they smell and don't they make a lot of mess? I'd say he he gives off cat vibes where it's like Evil. Like Mr. Evil with the cat, with the cat.
That's what he gives me. Mr. Evil? Yeah, from Austin Powers. That's not his name?
Oh, no. Jesus Christ. Oh, no. Mr. Evil.
Yeah, just like he I can see him just holding the cat and petting the cat. It's Doctor Evil. He's Doctor Evil.
Okay, I had the last name right, just the surname was wrong. Mr. Evil, Mr. Evil. Yeah, okay.
I it's a small mistake. It's like if I called Batman uh the bat, you'd be like, J what? They say here's the bat. It's just Nobody calls Batman the bat.
Somebody who doesn't know Batman calls him the bat. Yeah, yeah, but okay, uh that I got the last one. Yeah that dude. Yeah, okay. The spider guy.
No, come on, but Dr. Evil. You never seen Austin Powers?
Well, I have. I just forgot his name. Ah, alright. You didn't see Austin Powers. Come on.
You wouldn't call him Mr. Evil. Well I I get confused, okay? I think of mini me. And I think of Seth Green's character, which I can't that that's Mr.
Evil. That was his son. That's Mystery Eagle, because I don't think he's a doctor.
Okay, all right.
Okay, good. You found something that makes you right.
Okay, sure, fine. You think Jonathan Gannon is a cat guy? Yes, 100%. A lot of people like cats. Um And Stone Cold Steve Austin likes cats.
Well yeah, it's nothing's wrong with liking cats, it's just the way you the way you uh Give off and present yourself with the the animals. I feel like he he's like. Self-enclosed, and he's brooding, and he's meditating. He needs something. to lighten him up.
He needs a hug.
Okay. There's a lady in my neighborhood. in Atlanta. She gives away free hugs to people who need it. He needs to come here to Atlanta the next time the Cardinals are here in Atlanta.
he needs to come to my neighborhood, and I will get him a free hug from one of these uh one of the ladies. It'll make him happy. Or you can just get him a new quarterback. That'd probably help him too. He'll be fired by that.
He gets a new quarterback, he's he'll he'll get the boot. He's like, I didn't pick this guy, I didn't want this guy, Kyle Murray. And then when he'll have a chance to pick a QB, that quarterback will probably also suck. And then you'll probably get the boot. There's nothing worse than being an NFL head coach.
Being a losing head coach, and I get it, if you're a losing head coach, You got reason to be miserable. But when you are just always miserable, win, lose, just You're making your job harder for you. And if you can't understand that, As just uh up. Being a communicator. What the hell are you communicating with the actual locker on?

But if you don't understand being curt and being a jerk to the media, If you can understand that, do do you really understand communication principles? I don't know. Bill Belichick did it, but he was winning.
And then when he wasn't winning, it didn't work. And that's primarily when Zombrady left. I don't know if it's working all that well for Built Belichick now, I don't know. You know what, in order to give people tingles.
Now let's do this. Let's go back in time. Today is November 14th. The year is 2025. It's time to give tingles.
Time to revisit the past about a few things that took place this day in sports history. Back, back, back, back! Back in the days when I wish young I'm not a kid anymore, but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again. It's time for this day in sports history. See, back in those days...
We had radio and you couldn't see anything and it was primitive and lousy and we liked it. The JR Sport Brief Show. I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass. It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. Let's go back in time.
November 14th. nineteen sixty four. Because Gordy Howe. Doing it for Detroit. He became the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer.
Including the playoffs, he scored his 627th career goal. At the time Gordie Howe beat Montreal's Charlie Hodge. In a 4-2 loss, okay? Listen to another great Phil Esposito. He talked about how great Gordy Howe was.
This is courtesy of SportsNet. Puck drops. Bam! He gives me a shot right here. I go back and you ever get hit here, the tears.
And I'm bleeding. I could feel the blood and taste the blood. And he gave me a shot and I went, you old son of a so-and-so. Six seconds I'm on the ice. I got six stitches and I'm in a penalty box with Gordy Howe.
And in those days, a cop or an usher sat between you. And I got ice cubes and I'm trying to stop the bleeding. And I lean over and I said, and you used to be my so-and-so idol. He goes, what you say? Oh, nothing, Mr.
Howe. Absolutely nothing. And that was the first thing. And Gordy said to me after, every guy that came in the league, he tested. And if you didn't respond, he said, I owned you.
for as long as you played or I played. But he never bothered me after that. I think his legacy is that he was the greatest all-around player that ever played. But damn, wow. Man, I like them.
Punching you in the mouth, making you bleed. Damn, them hockey players are tough, man. They tough. November 14th, 1966. You want to talk about tough?
These guys punched each other in the face for a living. Punched each other in the face for a living. Muhammad Ali. He knocked out Cleveland Williams. It was a third-round knockout, and he retained his World Heavyweight Championship.
Shout outs to everybody in Houston, Texas. This is where it went down. Listen to Muhammad Ali knock out Cleveland Williams. Williams doesn't quite know what. Did you return her?
Mm-hmm. Take the left to the right, his own corner right and the referee stops the fighter's all over. technical knockout in round number three, the time one minute 51 seconds. Harry Kessler stops the fight, the winner by a technical knockout and still heavyweight champion of the world, Cassius Clay. Yeah, listen man The broadcasters, just classic.
November 14th, 1993. Speaking of a classic, Don Schuler. He broke George Hallis' record for career victories with number 320.
Okay, at that time, his Miami Dolphins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 19 to 14. Listen to Don Schuler as he got win number 325. 16, 15, before Coach Schuler gets his 325th career coaching victory, becomes the all-time coaching leader in NFL history. Our congratulations to Don and the Dolphins staff, but most particularly to him and his great family. Coach Schula now has won number 325.
So the Dolphins win 19 to 14. Coach Schula being mobbed by media, by team, by coaches on the far side and by fans as he becomes the all-time winningest coach in the history of the National Football League, breaking the record of the immortal George Hallis, which he tied two weeks ago. This is number 325, and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. And Bill Belichick has to watch from North Carolina. Oh, I mean, he has to watch the record from North Carolina.
November 14th, 2004.
Well, this was an interesting ending. The Chicago Bears. Of course, it was the Bears taking on the Titans. Chicago beat Tennessee. 19 to 17.
This is in 2004. It was the only time in NFL history that a game ended in overtime On a safety Listen to this courtesy of Fox. Another guy that probably wasn't supposed to make the team and got to place the middle linebacker because of Ernestine. Ball is Loose! That could be a safety.
It could be a safety. It takes over. And the Bears win it. And who wins it for the Bears? The defense.
How apropos is that? Is that just fitting? I mean, it's 2024. Maybe the Bears will get back to one day having a. A dominant defense.
Bears defense.
Now they got a quarterback, they hope, and now the defense ain't what it is. November 14th, or what it was. November 14th, 2010. Oh man, we go from one sad sack team to another. The New York Jets.
They beat the Browns in overtime 26-20. On the road in Cleveland, okay?
Now the week before that They beat the Lions 23-20 in overtime in Detroit. The New York Jets, how about this something positive actually happened to them? They became the first team in NFL history to win road games in overtime. in consecutive weeks. Listen, this is Mark Sanchez throwing the ball to Santonio Holmes.
This was the last time you heard that name. Shout outs to all the Steeler fans out there. He threw the ball to him in overtime and ended it. This is courtesy of CBS. Good first cross.
In the open. Good field home. Take it off of the chips again. Touchdown the and the victory from 37 yards. San Antonio Holmes.
With only 16 seconds left in overtime, Sanchez on a slant to Santonio. Missed tackles later. And the Jets win it at 26-20. Damn, here we are 15 years later. Who would have thought Mark Sanchez would be out here fighting old guys?
And Mark Sanchez is in the group of Athlete guys who've lost their jobs over the past few weeks. Mark Sanchez, unemployed Fox, said goodbye. Nico Harrison, he put unemployed in his bio, Dallas Maverick said goodbye. And then today we had Tyreek Hill. whose leg was bent in the wrong damn direction.
And Tyree Kill says today he's unemployed as well, even though the Dolphins haven't cut him yet. Probably got to wait until February, March. But there you have it, that's the future. Everything that you just heard. There's a few things that took place this day in sports history.
Speaking of Miami, Bacha, did they find a replacement? They got Jake Paul. Is he going to fight Anthony Joshua? Not yet, right? He is.
I think it's pretty much confirmed now that it's set in stone that he's going to fight sometime next month. Because uh Javante Davis had another issue where apparently uh allegedly he put his hands on some woman again, right? Yes. Not to mention that the fight itself was insane to happen in the first place.
Well, yeah, it was insane. I mean,. Javante Dave is what five foot five and Jake Paul is, what, six feet, six one, something like that? Yeah, I think it was like a six or seven inch difference and like a hundred pounds.
So it would have been in a real fight. Javante Davis would still kill him. That's number one. But then, number two, this is the complete opposite. Anthony Joshua is what, like six, Five, six, six, he's a huge dude.
Yeah, you went from probably the the smallest fighter that would probably take on a fight with him to arguably someone who's much bigger and we'll mess them up. He can't fight Anthony Joshua in a real fight. Like he can't it's Anthony Joshua is six six I know Anthony Joshua isn't the guy that a lot of people expected him to be coming out of the UK, but uh Anthony Joshua would kill him. This is what he said not too long ago about fighting Jake Paul in a boxing match. What do you think about this trend of YouTubers entering the world of boxing?
I personally think it's really good. The boxing hardcore, they don't like it because it's like why are they disrespecting our sport? There's an Olympic system that you have to go through and once you're qualified there then you go through to the professional ranks. Whereas someone with a profile can just come out of nowhere and fight one of the best guys. Man, we're going to find out how.
Well, we know Jake Paul is just gaming the system. God bless him. He's making lots and lots and lots of money gaming the system. But we're going to find out how much the system is gamed and rigged and. Whether or not he's I don't even know.
They'll make a lot of money. Bacha, what is Anthony Joshua gonna come down with an injury during the fight? Is that what's gonna happen? Or they just Hug the entire time and just try to delay the fight and get through the rounds? He's gonna hug him?
I mean,. Whatever. We'll see if this fight takes place in Miami in December. I don't know. It's kind of soon for that.
Anyway, hey, thank you so much for hanging out with us. We appreciate you. Thank you to Tom Carroll. Coming through from WEEI to talk about the Patriots. Thank you to Dan Walkin for coming through to talk about all things college football for Yahoo Sports.
