We'll have that conversation with Kyle Glazer next hour. We heard of some decisions that have been made at the quarterback position.
The New York Giants have spoken, Jackson Dart is the future. Brian Daybole explained. kind of sorta. Russell Wilson also spoke about being demoted. Here in Atlanta, Georgia, a lot of conversations as to whether or not Kirk Cousins is going to get another start.
The answer is. No. And then that their opponent This upcoming Sunday the Falcons are taking on the Commanders. Are we going to see Jaden Daniels? We got football startin' again to morrow, week number four, already.
We got the Seahawks, we got the Cardinals, we got a lot of football to get into, we got a lot of baseball to get into, we got Tom Brady. Defending himself. and his integrity He says, I can be an owner. I could be a broadcaster. all at the same time.
Drew Brees can't stand the Eagles. Thinks they're boring. He's a Hall of Fame nominee. And then of course it's Wednesday. I'm going to bring you a new top six list.

When did they do this? Uh, within I guess like last couple of hours. Wow. That's beautiful, man. I you know what people listening have no idea.

Overnight, I almost got attacked by Atlanta robots. The delivery robots were just all in my face, man, like 20 of them. Oh my so you're getting attacked. constantly now by them. Yeah, I can't I can't walk down the I can't walk see I think there's one particular restaurant where I live Where it's just you can't avoid 'em.
They're like a gang. And they're beeping you, their eyes are blinking at you. You're walking down the street, their eyes are blinking. It's uh. It's kinda creepy.
And technology is good when it works. I mean, we talked about technology last night with the Robo uh Umpires and automatic ball strike challenge that's coming to Major League Baseball next year. But me, I can't make it down the street without being harassed by robots.
Okay, I guess it really is. 2025. And of course, that's a good reminder at the end of the show. We'll talk about a few things that took place this day. in sports, history.
I don't think anything will involve a A robot But We'll get there. Let's talk about some current events. from to day. Couple of updates when it comes down to quarterbacks. We'll get to the Giants momentarily.
We know Jackson Dart is taking over for Russell Wilson. We'll hear from them in the next break. Let's talk about some uh A little little fresher of a story in that regard. You know, here in Atlanta, Georgia, Falcons fans have been kinda ticked off. The Falcons are 1-2.
You got Michael Pennix, Jr., Who just laid an egg? I mean, the whole damn team laid an egg this past Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Now, I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that I sat and watched the whole game because I did not. I don't need to watch anybody go out there and get their butts kicked. It came a point in time where I checked in on the score every now and then and I kept it moving. Congratulations to the Panthers. They don't look as ass as everybody thought that they would be or at least, me.
So the Falcons are now one and two.
Okay? They went out here and Lost to Tampa Bay the week before. Michael Pennix Jr. on the season has one touchdown, two interceptions. All two interceptions came last game against the Panthers, including a pick six.
He completed 18 of 36 passes. The Falcons kicking game. Stinks. They tell Young Way Cool, we don't watch you. He's now a member of the New York Giants, by the way.
And they bring in a guy named Romo. Romo is out here missing kicks. Viking fans are familiar with him. Michael Pennix Jr. has even even completed a pass.
that has traveled more than twenty years. Yards. Let me say that again. He has not completed a pass. further than twenty yards.
That's not not i impossible, we know that's the case, but that's pretty that's pretty bad. And all things considered he is still a rookie. This is still his rookie season. He hasn't completed sixteen, seventeen games for a full season as of yet. and so of course there's conversations about Kirk Cousins.
Reclaiming the start and job. Yeah, Kirk Cousins, who's the highest paid backup quarterback in the NFL right now. Kirk Cousins, who's making about twenty eight million dollars a year to Stand in the back and hold a clipboard. Kirk Cousins, who hasn't been traded to a team yet. Not the Bengals, not anybody with a hurt ass quarterback.
Kirk Cousins is still here in Atlanta hanging out. I wonder if him and uh Russell Wilson have a little buddy chat right now about you know, name quarterbacks who who've been benched. And so Falcon fans are just like, oh, I thought we had our guy. And, you know, do we need to go back to Kirk Cousins? It's pretty bad right now.
Today all of that was put to rest. The head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Raheem Morris, He told everybody Listen. Michael Pennix, junior had a bad game, And Kirk Cousins lost his job. Listen to this. I mean, Kirk lost his job last year, but we're not even close to that moment with Mike.
Mike had a bad game. We had a bad day as a team. And it's easy for everybody to pile on, particularly, like I told you: the head coach, the coordinator, obviously, the quarterback. First in line for the wounds, right? And he's just in line right now.
He had a bad game. He'll bounce back. A lot of comps, he'll bounce back, and I can't wait to watch the brakes today. Ooh, ouch. It'll be a quarterback Well, you making twenty eight million dollars.
You better have some thick skin, right? Like, imagine, I don't know. Does Kirk Cousins hear his coach says this? Does he walk in the door and his wife goes, Hey, by the way, the coach said you lost your job last year? He told the media.
I g you gotta have thick skin, right? Who wants to be criticized not just externally by everybody who watches the games, but then also by your head coach publicly? It's like, yeah, sure, coach, tell me I suck in private. Everybody outside knows I suck, but you don't got to tell everybody, like damn Well, yeah, the guy lost his job. Ouch.
And so Raheem, just to make it very, very clear. You're gonna stick with Mike Pennix as the starter. He's the guy, it's not Kirk, right? Mike's our quarterback. Mike's our quarterback.
We got a lot of confidence in Mike. We're moving forward with Mike. Mike's the guy, Mike is the guy. Um until I let you guys know otherwise, but Mike's our guy. Oh, man, how woof Damn.
Alright. And I mean, why would you do that to the guy right now? He did have a bad game. And yeah, sure, it's been three games. And yeah, he hasn't delivered the ball down the field.
And sure, they fired the wide receivers coach because who else are you going to fire? They had to do something, right? Ike Hilliard, former wide receiver in the NFL, he's now gone. They had to do something. But you start jerking around a young quarterback, not only are you destroying his confidence, you look silly as a head coach.
You look like the dummy. You look like the guy who can't make a decision, and you're just, you know, wavering and just going back and forth as to what you should do. You look silly. You end up sounding like Mike McDaniel. Every time this man is in front of an audience, it's full of the ums, uh.
You don't know what the hell he's saying. I got to wait twenty minutes in between sentences. Raheem Morris doesn't want to look that silly. It's not time to a bench. Michael Pennix Jr.
It's not time. You got to give the guy a chance and an opportunity, and this upcoming Sunday is a good one. We got a lot of Commanders fans that are coming right down here. to Atlanta, Georgia. We got a lot of people who are going to make it an entire party all weekend long.
But if you're a Commanders fan, I don't know if you still want to come because I Jaden Daniels We don't know what's going on, okay? All right, he had that knee sprain. The commander still went out there on Sunday and beat Las Vegas forty one to twenty four. Marcus Mariota looked like he was he was back in Oregon. He had a touchdown in the air.
You have a touch down on the ground. They blew a team out. The commanders are 2-1. But is Jaden Daniels going to be. available.
I mean, what are we gonna see out of him? Listen to head coach of the Commanders, Dan Quinn.
So, first, let's start with Jaden. He'll continue in his return to play process and You'll see him out there today. in a limited fashion and we'll continue to rely on the medical team you know to fully clear him but what I can say is man he is doing everything you possibly can uh to get there the guy's the ultimate competitor for us you know that I know that but uh he is absolutely digging this Oh, come on. He was in uh Uh limited action today.
Okay. Limited.
So, what does that mean? He stood around, he got on the field, they trusted him not to go out there and do a little too much.
Well, Jaden Daniels actually spoke to the media. and he was asked about the status of his knee, He was asked about whether or not he's gonna wear a brace. I mean, we don't even know if he's gonna play. Listen to this. Jane, how much running and cutting have you been able to do so far?
En enough to feel good if I play on Sunday. Like I said, it's not my decision. And then have you had to play with a brace before? No. What's that feeling?
Um something to get used to. Would you have to wear one if you do play on Sunday? Uh We the doctors haven't said that decision yet. Um so that'll be a conversation. We don't even know if he's gonna play in the game.
Let me tell you, there's going to be a lot of disappointed Commander fans. who bought tickets, to come party in Atlanta all weekend long, To go to the tailgate on Sunday, and then walk into the game. They gonna be real disappointed if Marcus Mariota is out there as the starting quarterback. You know, what do I know? I don't know a whole lot of nothing.
I think Jaden Daniels, given his youth, Given the fact that he was out there practicing in a limited capacity today, I think he'll go out there and get the shot. the opportunity to go out there. and play. I mean, let me tell you something. Atlanta is a nice city to visit, especially if you're trying to party.
You want to have fun regardless, but there's nothing worse than buying tickets for something. In another state, having to travel there. and the guy that you wanted to see. Can't play. I mean, that's one of the reasons that a lot of people can't stand a lot of these NBA players.
These guys um the superstars are making more money than anybody, and they they're not even hurt. They they might be just a Well, let me say this. They might be hurting. They're not injured. And they don't even give people the benefit of the doubt after they bought tickets.
And so I think we'll see Jaden Daniels in action this upcoming Sunday. And if they find him, you know, if they think that there's a chance that he's a sitting duck, They they won't play him. I guess if you are a Commanders fan, it takes solace in the fact that the Falcons are still trying to find somebody. who can consistently get after the quarterback. Consider that a positive.
I think we'll see Jaden Daniels in action this Sunday. He's practicing a limited action. If not, this will be a revenge game. Dare I say for Marcus Mariota, he is He was here and then ultimately he got benched. Hey, Bacha, have you ever bought tickets to something and then uh the person you wanted to see, the main attraction, wasn't available or healthy?
So week one, I think of 2023. Two with the Jets. Zach Wilson was supposed to face the Ravens. And I was like, Okay, I'll actually spend some money Maybe the Jets will be good. What?
Of course not. And then Zach Wilson terrors his meniscus in preseason.
Okay. So Joe Flacco. Started the game. And it was a pouring night, pouring afternoon. And it was horrible, the experience.
Oh well damn ouch. Ouch. Well, do you think Zack Wilson would have done any better? It would have been more interesting than Joe Flacco getting flattened by the entire Ravens defensive line. I know the answer.
Could Joe Flacco move at all? Could he move? Not at all. I think Calais Campbell got him a couple times. Damn.
Old man on old man violence. How about that? Damn. What a world. Yeah, nothing worse than buying tickets.
And then what you plan to see is not there. You know, Michael Pennix will get his chance and his opportunities. He's not getting benched. He'd have to look like absolute garbage for multiple weeks before he gets benched. He would get pulled from a game based on performance before he ultimately gets benched.
And I know Kirk Cousins went out there and did some cleanup duty this past Sunday. That wasn't necessarily a benching. Of Michael Pennix. He'd have to be out there throwing three and four picks before they sit him down. We are not there yet, as we heard from head coach Raheem Moore.
So the Falcons and Commanders, they're getting after on Sunday, and there's just injuries all over the damn place.
Okay, we even got Terry McLaurin. I didn't even get it to him. You know, he's out here dealing with a quad issue. Things can get rather ugly. real quick.
They got Trey Amos, who's hurt, On the defense, they just drafted the guy. He's questionable. The commanders are the walking wounded right now. And all of their fans, at least when they come here to Atlanta, they can still get a good party in.

So you don't like the Rich the Richmond squirrels? You don't like that that raggedy ass stadium they play in downtown? Hey, man, guess what? We've put we've got a brand new one for next year. Get out of here.
What'd they build? It right next door. Yeah, right next door. It's called Carmack Stadium. Let me tell you something.
As long as that, as long as shout outs to all the. The Greyhound bus depots all across America. But as long as that Greyhound is downtown in Richmond, that stadium's gonna stink, okay? I don't care if they build it. It's gone.
Greyhound. Greyhound Bus Station is gone, man. When did they move it? They moved it about three years ago. It's now a townhome.
Townhome is right across the street. Get out of here. They actually tried to do something over there. Wow. Yeah, I know.
A little late for my braves, though. I love the love the braves. Yeah, we had uh five pictures that had sixty days DLs this year. Isn't that amazing? Five of our starters.
Wow. Yeah, I know. Everybody got hurt.
Now they're on a 10-game winning streak, and it's too late. I know. Hey, I I called to pick a bone with you, though. Go ahead. La last week, you spent thirty minutes.
You're a tirade, in my opinion, on Marcus Mariota. You said there's no way He was going to lead the Washington commanders to a win. And in addition to leaving two wins, he did a great job. He looked awesome out there. Oh, no, so it was probably only 10 minutes.
And then I would never say felt like 30. Yeah, it felt like it. I would never say somebody can't do anything. I remember vividly saying. I would not trust this man.
I would not trust this man to carry a baby. I wouldn't trust him to hold anything. I wouldn't trust him to walk an old lady across the street.
Now, all of those things I said.
Now I am happy that he had a good game. I still would not trust this man. He can walk he can walk right down here into Atlanta and Marcus Mariota could step onto the field and God bless him. Last week he had a touchdown in the air, he had a touchdown on the ground. Am I trusting him this week?
No. Am I trusting him long term? No. There's a reason why he's a backup.
Now, I will give him credit. He did a good job last week. God bless him. But he could turn into a pumpkin on Sunday.

Oh, yeah, I do. Yeah. Oh my god. Let's just say Where the Richmond squirrels used to play, or where they played, was around I mean, the the bus depot was basically across the street. And it it ain't a place that I'm gonna go watch a game and take my kids, okay?
It might be somebody outside scratching their ass, there's somebody else putting something in their arm, somebody's taking a nap. Uh It's not the most friendly of environments. But they he said they moved the bus station. I'm like, Whoa, okay Uh, like and what what is it? 8th Avenue, Port Authority, isn't that where the Greyhounds come in at?
Yeah, Port Authority bus terminal. Yeah. I don't care how nice they try to make it. Who wants to do you want to hang out there? No.
Even the LIR at night is not great. You're not you're not taking your family on a walk through the the Greyhound terminal, are you? Ah And m maybe to build some uh character. Yeah, it's just some great character building. And you know, let me not take a dump on Greyhound.
Man, it when you start dealing with a lot of uh Yeah. Transportation in this country Things can get rough. I remember vividly being at Super Bowl 50.
Okay, it took place in San Francisco. We know a little further south of that. Home of the 49 is in Santa Clara. I was staying in Oakland. I was in Oakland for the whole week.
I love Oakland. I got no problem getting on the train. I got on BART. went from Oakland to San Francisco, did everything that I needed to do. Boncha, let me tell you.
I was in San Francisco, and I love San Francisco too. I know a lot of big cities get bad names, and the entire country has been through a meat grinder. Don't believe everything you hear. But I was in San Francisco. And I was in the subway system.
I am now off of the train. I'm walking through the tunnel. This is Super Bowl week. I'm on my way upstairs to escape the subway system to get to the street level. And I'm walking through one of these long subway tunnels.
Botcha, let me tell you. I'm saying this in a very positive, clean way. There was a gentleman you don't have to hit the dump button, don't worry about it. There was a gentleman, He was up against the wall, okay? His back was up against the wall.
And he was squatting, okay? And let's just say he was not moving weights, okay? You get it, Bacha? Yeah, he he was leaning. No, he wasn't leaving.
No, for sure. He was squatting, but he was not squatting weights.
Okay. Okay. He was squatting.
Okay. And I'm like, this is 11 o'clock in the morning. This guy. It's like imagine it being rush hour. It's 11 o'clock, it's Super Bowl week.
And this guy is just on the wall. He's on number two. He was on two weights. He was doing two weights. I'm like, what are you doing?
Like how in the middle of the day? in front of everybody? Like you could not find a A porter party somewhere? They wouldn't let you into a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts in the middle of the day? When duty calls.
When duty calls, Damn. Listen, you you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess, right? This is during Super Bowl week. Wow. What a world.

Today we got a little bit of an explanation from the New York Giants as to why they have changed things up. at the quarterback position. Brian Dayboll is the the well, he's the coach of the team. This squad went three and fourteen last year. They decided to trade back into the first round in order to secure Jackson Dart out of Ole Miss.
Apparently Brian Dabo loved him. They also brought on Russell Wilson, who And Jeamis Winston.
Well, After this start, this 0-in3 start. Russell Wilson has found the bench. Jackson Dart is the starter and well, uh, who cares about Jameis at this point in time? I still believe ultimately Russell Wilson will be traded, but Brian Dayball He was asked about making this change. And Brian Dayball, did he have an answer?
Why did you make the change, buddy? Tell me. Look, I did it. I'm not going to get into the specifics like I said before. Um I think it's the right thing for our football team and That's why I'm doing it.
Nope. He gave no other answer. That's all he said. I made the change. That's it.
He didn't give a reason, he just said I did it. I mean, he did he go to the the the Bill Belichick School of Head Coaching? Wha why are you acting this way? In the words of Tires, Why you got to act like that? Wh why?
Is it necessary? I mean, typically you act like that if you've won, but Win something first before you start acting like a jerk. This man is on a hot seat. He knows it. He made the change.
Because he knows he's at risk. of losing his job at the end of the season. If it doesn't work out, this man has now tethered his entire future. On Jackson Dart. And maybe Jackson Daughter's gonna work?
Maybe he won't. And if he doesn't look good and this team tanks and people are complaining and it becomes a disaster, then Brian Daybox won't be around. To see the quarterback that he wanted. have success. This is what he had to say, he said more, trust me, he did.
Barely. About playing a rookie quarterback. Come on, coach, tell me. You're not worried about this? I don't think any rookie quarterback is ever just ready to play.
You put him in there because you think that he's done enough. to show you that he can go out there and compete and he's done that every step of the way. And that's why I made the decision. Oh, oh damn, wow You would think that he's like Seven Super Bowl rings in. He just doesn't care.
I give him credit. He doesn't care. He's short with the media, He's over here cursing his players out on the sidelines, is not afraid to get up in any of his players' faces. And it just leads me to believe, like, okay. If you got that type of personality, at least do some winning.
Because if it gets bad. And it gets worse, and he's still cursing everybody out and still yelling at everybody. They're going to fire him.
Well, let's actually hear from somebody who did get fired. RUSSEL WILLSON, Russell Wilson, of course, had a positive response about being benched. Listen to this. The best thing I can do is lead from the front. You know, I thank God every day I get to do what I love to do.
and play this game. with guys that I love and enjoy and being around. the locker room, the teammates. We've had three tough games, obviously, the close ones. um in fashion and three really good teams.
We didn't get get to get it done. Wow. Like he found positivity in he did. And God bless him. He evoked God.
He's like. I'm blessed an' he is. He's making a lot of money. He's made a lot of money in his career. I guess maybe he doesn't care, but of course he cares.
Russell, I mean You gonna quit? You gonna be a starter? Are you gonna ask for a trade? Are you gonna retire? Are you gonna live off?

I'm not done. I got so much. belief in myself and know what I'm capable of. I believe I was able to show it, especially on the road in Dallas and everything else. I know that can help this football team if that comes up.
But I think also too, just for me mentally, You know, just have the best practice. You know, have the best have the best workout session in the morning. Oh.
Okay. All right. Apparently, he's not asking for a trade, apparently, at this moment. He's not asking out, apparently, at this moment. Uh he is not quitting.
The New York Giants Okay. Congratulations, Russell Wilson. I mean, did we expect anything different? When I hear Russell Wilson, I I just expect positivity. Even when he he's getting benched.
Well, let's hear from the guy who actually has the job. Jackson DART. Jackson Dart spoke to the media. And he basically said, Do I feel pressure? Listen to his response.
I don't really feel pressured. Um I feel like, you know, pressure is is given to those who play at a high level. And um you know, the the best players in the world. um are the ones that you are kind of involved with that word pressure. Man, I haven't I haven't seen him throw an NFL pass yet.
Okay, we saw him in the preseason, and everybody's happy-go-lucky, and they love him. We haven't seen him throw a pass. Man, I've seen this man move the ball since he was an old. Miss Come on, what are we doing? At least the Giants will have a little bit more diversity when it comes to their offense.
They have a guy who can go out there and rush. They got a guy who can throw. I mean, Russell Wilson is a sitting duck at this stage of his career. Jameis Winston is a turnover machine. You got something different here.
And so the New York Giants, their first game is going to be against the Chargers. Congratulations to Jackson Dart. He doesn't have to run from Khalil Mack, but this is still a good defense. You know, I would think. I don't want to put any betting information out there, but I would think and expect for him to at least.
Throw one interception. against these charges. That would be my guess. Jackson Dart, he's just like, you know what? Charges are coming up, but you know, it doesn't matter who else is coming up.
I got to take it one game at a time. My focus is just trying to just win one game at a time. And um you know, we've been just you know, we've been so close each week and it's it's been tough to watch. It's been tough, you know, as a team to come back in the locker room um when I s you know, like I said, when you're just that close to winning. Yeah, who wants to be a loser?
Well, you know what? This is professional sports. There are a lot of guys, they're just like, well, I got paid. Who cares if we lose? Like that that really is the approach for a lot of professional athletes.
I got paid. Who cares if we lose? I mean, the best of the best actually care.
So it's nice to know that Jackson Dart doesn't want to be a loser. I was thinking about Zion Williamson, but I don't want to call him a loser. He's rich and fat. or lighter, whatever you want to call it. Anyway, JAXON DART, In this position.
playing in the biggest media market in the country He could get ripped to shreds. I remember Eli Manning, his first start, the first time he played against the Baltimore Ravens. They put Eli Manning on the back page of the New York Post. as he was getting sacked and destroyed. That was the first time we saw Eli Manning's Eli face.
He looked just distraught, confused, damaged. I know the newspaper doesn't exist in the same way any more, but Jackson Dart will be eviscerated online if the New York Giants allow him to be destroyed. if he's setting himself up to be destroyed.
So what makes you, Jackson Dart, so confident that you're not going to go out there and suck. I'm just trying to be prepared each and every day, and I think that my study habits and having those extra meetings are gonna put me in a good position to be confident. When I'm in those meetings, when I'm on the field, making checks, whatever it may be, that way I can just play fast and the guys can have a lot of confidence in me. Yeah. Apparently he's a likable guy.
People like him. But then at the same time Man, if you start going out then, you suck. You know how many people are gonna like you? None People aren't going to like you. They're going to be sick of you.
Okay, people will be ready to hit the eject button on Jackson Dart just as fast as he got this chance and this opportunity. He's going to take on the Chargers. Do I see the Giants feeling a spark and going out there and beating the Chargers? No, it's a possibility. I think Justin Herbert is one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
This is someone who can get the ball down the field without a damn problem. I don't know if the Giants will be able to keep up offensively. But I don't think Jackson Dart is gonna lay an egg. I think he's going to lose. I don't think he's gonna lay an egg.
The next game. for the New York Giants as the Saints. They're gonna be down in New Orleans, in Louisiana, and let's just say uh Well the saints stink. They're probably out here along with the Titans. The two worst teams in the NFL looking for the first overall.
Pick. And so good luck to Jackson Dart. If there is one thing that Brian Dayboll said, He's the starter. for the rest of the season. He's gonna sink or swim his career, basically, at this stage.
He's either gonna sink or swim. with this man and not? There's no going back. Hey, Bacha, do you think you think he's going to do okay? I think he'll be good enough where Dayball will keep his job.
If he can go through the rest of the season I don't want to say a two to one touchdown interception ratio. He'll keep his job. Two to one? Yeah, I was going to be saying, like, I was going to go. One to one have very low standards.
But that's one-to-one is even. If you do one-to-one and you're not turning the ball over, And then maybe it is two to one. Maybe he gets a couple extra. He doesn't even have to put the ball into the end zone. But if he's generating positive yardage, setting them up in the red zone, I think there's a good chance that he keeps his job.
Well, everybody. To be fair, their offensive line is so hit or miss, too. Oh, boy. Where it's. You could look at Shane, and be like Hey.
You have not built a consistent and stable offensive line. When you look at it, you missed on Evan Neal. Andrew Thomas has been injured basically the last two seasons.
So you're you have high picks. You have a plan. But It doesn't seem to be working. and they might look for a new voice or new vision And if Dart is part of that vision. That's good for the who incoming GM then.
Yeah. I I just think. If he is even, Everybody keeps their job. Because I think the last thing the New York Giants want to do, if there is any shred of optimism, they don't want to go out there. And rock the apple cart.
They don't want to go out there and swap things out. They don't want to upset things if they're on a positive upswing. You make a very good point about Andrew Thomas. I don't think it's a coincidence that they waited for him to at least return before they gave Jackson Dart the reins. I just think Brian Dayboat is going to keep his job, and we'll find this out all sooner.
