They're getting ready to get underway down in Brazil. Um I don't know. I don't know if there's an NFL fan out there that really. is excited About these games? being played internationally.
So I I'll throw this open. For everybody around the country tonight, tell me something. Um Does anybody care? about expanding the game of football. internationally to Europe or South America.
Is this something that's for the fans? Or is this something that's for the owners, not even for the league, but for the owners.
So tonight they're going to play in a soccer stadium and they're going to expose the product around the world. Do you think the rest of the world really wants American football? We've tried it forever in Europe. They have a couple games over there. College football goes and plays over there.
The NFL will go play over there. They show the games in Europe on television. Um, they used to show 'em uh on tape delay.
Now they'll show em like in the middle of the night. But when they showed him on tape delay. Um Bob Golick, who was one of my original radio partners, would be on, and then they'd shoot the game and they'd kind of show the highlights, kind of like if you're old enough, and again, as I'm giving off that Gen X energy, you would see like highlights. highlight films of the games during the week because we didn't have 24-hour cable television. That's how kind of Europeans saw the game, and now they get to watch them.
But they come on in the middle of the night. There's certain bars where expats will get together, Americans that are living over there, and they'll get excited for the games. But for the most part, Um it's just trying to grow the game over there. This game tonight will feature the AFC champion. Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Would you have liked to see the game in Kansas City? I love going to games in Kansas City. I broadcast games in Kansas City. It's the best smelling parking lot in America. The people there are great.
Kansas City is a great football town. Um I drove by. I've never seen a game inside SoFi Stadium because now I live out in the East Coast. But I was just in Los Angeles about a month ago. And I kind of cruised through.
And saw uh SoFi Stadium and it's just it's probably the biggest stadium I've ever seen in my life. And as I'm As I'm looking at that stadium, I'm like, hmm. Would it have been nice to have a game? For The fans at LA? or this game for the fans in Kansas City, but instead We're playing this game in Europe.
What's the purpose of that? Is the purpose of the game in in Brazil To grow the game for the good of the game, or is it to stick more money in the owner's pockets? I mentioned this earlier. Red Zone will now have commercials. And Scott Hansen's been going around, don't tell, don't ask me, don't ask me.
It's not my. I know you're not the one who put commercials on there. But Every time you turn around, The league is trying to make more money, more money, more money. How much more do they have to make? How much more do they need?
How much more are they going to stick in my pocket? Because again, They have a product, it's entertainment. And for that entertainment to make money, they've got to have fans that are willing to buy tickets, buy merchandise, watch the games on television, buy the NFL Sunday ticket. I broke down this year. I'm living in Virginia.
I'm not going to be able to watch my 49ers the way I would when I'm on the west coast. I broke down and I got YouTube TV and I've got the NFL Sunday ticket, which I think I've activated. I better have it in time for the game on Sunday for the 49ers, but. I will actually pay the money to have NFL Sunday ticket this year.
So they reach in a pocket even more. to grab more of my cash to support this league. But There's a big question I have for you, and I'll throw this open if you'd like to comment. 855-212-4227, 855-2124-22727. for those of you that are tuning in on this Friday night.
Are these games for us? Or are these games for someone else? Are these games. In Brazil. Meant for the NFL fans in America?
Or are we just the product that they're that they're selling and they're trying to do something other than Serve the fans that That Pay the tickets and buy the merch and drink the beer and support the sponsors on a daily basis. Why are these games in Brazil? Does this do any does this help? The United States sports fan. in any way, shape, or form.
Does this benefit me or you? As American sports fans, I'm living in Virginia, Ryan's up in New York, the fans in Kansas City, the fans in Los Angeles. Does this. Does this do anything for them? Does this have anything to do with us, or is this all about I'm just going to try to make more money.
Do would you like to see? The National Football League one day give up that N of National Football League to be. The IFL. the International Football League. How would you feel about it if the NFL were To actually have their grandiose plan.
I know there's somebody somewhere. They would love to hear. the Barcelona Dragons taking on the Scottish Claymores and the Frankfurt Galaxy coming back but not as World Football League. teams, but is real NFL teams. Would you like to have the Um The Sao Paulo Brazilian gauchos take on the Dallas Cowboys.
Would you want to have the Mexico City Red Devils? I know that's the name of their baseball team. But would you like to have the Mexico City Mayans take on the the Denver Broncos. Would you want to see the well, the Jacksonville Jaguars that probably end up moving over to Europe anyway? But would you want to see the Miami Dolphins?
Take on the The Paris um I'm not even sure what I call the team in France, but that's the goal one day for some of these people. Would you want to see that one day to have this game become so international That you would take some of the franchises from the United States. Shift them overseas, expand this thing to 40 teams, and have a European division of the National Football League. Is anybody clamoring for that? I guess what I'm getting to.
Is anybody clamoring for? An NFL team to be in London. and to be in Scotland and to be in Paris, France. Or any of these other places, is anybody looking? for international football.
Would that make the game better? If we had the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Barcelona Dragons? Would this make the NFL better if the New York Football Giants took on The I don't know, give me another European scene. The Rome Legionnaires. I just don't know when I'm watching all of this.
Is the purpose of this to make the game better, to grow the game? Or is the purpose of this to try to To try to make more money. And the bigger the game gets, the more you get away from its roots. Does it? Does it make the product that we have here in the States?
In other words, is this going to make the Dallas Cowboys any better? Is this going to make the San Francisco 49ers any better? Is this going to make your life better in Green Bay? I have teams internationally that'll play the Green Bay Packers. And here's the other part, and we're going to talk about this with college football.
Do all of our cities in the United States keep their NFL franchises? Because If you think about this, the Chargers are playing tonight. The Chargers? Are now worth A lot more money in Los Angeles. than they were in San Diego.
The Spanos family has a team that is worth considerably more playing in Los Angeles, bigger stadium, bigger media market. They get to charge more for tickets. They're much more successful financially by being the Los Angeles Chargers rather than the San Diego Chargers. And basically, they drove an hour and 45 minutes to be in Los Angeles, and now they're worth a heck of a lot more money.
Well, how about some of our other teams? I said Jacksonville, for instance. What do you think is going to be more popular? What do you think is going to be more valuable for Shad Khan? To be the Jacksonville Jaguars?
or to be the London monarchs. What do you think would be more valuable for Michael Bidwell? to be the Arizona Cardinals or to be the Frankfurt Cardinals What do you think would be more popular? and be worth more money. The Green Bay Packers?
Or the London Packers. It's pretty simple, it's economics. The bigger the city, the bigger the market, the bigger the television revenue, the more your team is worth. That's why I use that little example of the Chargers. They just moved up the field, up the highway, from San Diego playing at the old Qualcomm Jack Murphy Stadium.
that was what's good enough to to host a Super Bowl. And I was actually there. Uh I watched the uh Army Excuse me, I watched the Navy Notre Dame game and the stadium was just old, decrepit, needed to come down. But at one time that was a stadium good enough to host to host Super Bowls. San Diego was a proper NFL city.
They lost their NFL franchise. Why? Because the The Spanish family is able to move them. an hour and forty five minutes north, And they're able to increase the value of the team. fourfold, fivefold, sixfold, whatever it's going to end up being.
What's to keep The NFL from doing that for Jacksonville. and some of the smaller markets that we have Is as great as their as great as Phoenix is. Top 20 market in media. Um it's a it's a city that's growing. Where would that team be worth more?
playing in London or playing in Phoenix? The Green Bay Packers. Playing the smallest market, TV market. And the smallest town in America to have an NFL team. It would it be complete blasphemy to suggest What if the Pa and I and the Packers probably wouldn't be able to do this, but who knows?
You never thought you'd see teams playing in Europe anyway. The Packers are owned. It's a, it's. It's owned by shareholders, owned by people in the city, but There's lawyers that can get through anything. If you want it bad enough, you can.
What if the Packers ever got a chance to bolt? And all those Packers shareholders were able to quadruple their money, and they're able to buy you all out. and move them to Frankfurt, Germany. Where would the team be worth more? Las Vegas, Raiders are great, how much would they be worth in London?
All of that you have to think about. There's a reason why we have these teams playing in Europe today. And it's got to be more than just we're growing the game. Maybe we're growing the game with an opportunity to make these franchises worth even more money. I'll just get your thoughts on this.
855-212-4227-855-212-42222222222 4227. Are they using these European games? To grow the sport, Are they using these NFL games to leverage themselves to get an opportunity to to move these teams there one day. to make these franchises worth even more. Because every franchise that grows in value Rising tide lifts all the boats.
So, if the Chargers were worth more, that makes the Dolphins worth more. If the if the chargers moving up makes them More valuable, that makes the 49ers more valuable. They all are attached at the hip.
So the more I can make that franchise value grow, it benefits all of the owners. It benefits all of the owners. Um Buffalo. I know you're building a new stadium. It's going to be good for twenty, thirty years.
Twenty, thirty years from now could you see the Buffalo Bills? Bailing and going to a European city? And if I can quadruple the value of that franchise by moving them someplace like that. You guys tell me. Number for you to join us at 855-212-5525.
Four. 5521252. 4227. Coming up, we're going to have that same uncomfortable conversation. about college football.
Because college football is doing everything they can to copy the probe model. And one of the things they're going to have to do. is they're going to have to cull some of these bottom feeders that just aren't worth anything. There are people that are working on trying to put together A forty team. Super conference.
That will Surplant the SEC And the Big Ten and the Big Twelve and the ACC and we've already seen. My beloved Pack Twelve go away? They're not going to be the only conference that will no longer exist in 20 years. There's a whole bunch more that their heads are on the chopping block, but you just don't realize it yet. We'll take your telephone calls, talk about that coming up here on the program.
By the way, the game's going on in Brazil right now. No score, Kansas City, in Los Angeles. Rich Ackerman will have an update for you coming up at the bottom of the hour. I'll keep you apprised of all the action as the defending AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, take on. Uh it is now six nothing pending. the extra point uh With the Chiefs, excuse me, the Chiefs going three and out to begin the ballgame, I believe, and Justin Herbert. just threw a touchdown pass to Johnston for the first score of the game. Extra point is good. It is now seven nothing Chargers on top of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Justin Herbert marched him down the field. Picks up the first touchdown of the year, and the game in Sao Paulo is early. seven oh lead for the Los Angeles Chargers. You want to comment? Feel free.
855-212-452. 4227-855-212. 27, the number for you addressed. I did want to bring up something. for you.
I'm not sure if anybody caught this. But this is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger as they go. the commissioner of the National Football League. Mentioned. That Name.
that drives football fans crazy? That she's associated with the league. But now she's going to be an NFL wife. And I'm talking about Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift.
The commissioner, and here's what I'm gonna tell you: here's what I think. The commissioner is no dummy. Everything that comes out of his mouth has been vetted. NFLPR knows exactly what he's going to say, what he's going to do. I'm not saying that every interview he does is prearranged, but they have an idea what they're going to talk about.
He was on, I believe it was NBC. Plugging the beginning of the National Football League season, he was asked. about Taylor Swift. I'll Taylor Swift ever be invited to The Super Bowl. And he goes, Yeah, she's always going to be invited.
What about performing? And he goes, Well, And he goes, Do and he was asked, does that mean you you can't say? I'm not sure if I can do it. I can't roll it out. Got to talk to Jay-Z because Jay-Z.
now, along with Apple, produces the halftime show. This is their first little chance. To tease it, Knowing that the Swifties will go crazy with the thought of T. Swizzle, Taylor Swift, the future Mrs. Kelsey.
An opportunity to perform at The biggest venue in pop culture. The Super Bowl.
Well And m m m maybe it was. The biggest venue in pop culture. Because Here's what I'm going to tell you. As a football fan, I'm going to hate every moment of this. I'm not a Swifty.
My niece is a Swifty. She loves Taylor Swift. Whenever I call her and go, hey, I got Taylor Swift news. She goes, oh, let me know. She's eight years old.
She loves Taylor Swift. There's a bunch of 40-year-old women that act like eight-year-olds. Oh, I love Taylor Swift. If I make the Swifties mad, I don't care. They can call him yellow JR.
But The Commissioner kind of let the tease out. Meaning that uh Yeah, they're open, they're negotiating, they're talking. and if they could put it together. to bring Taylor Swift to perform at the Super Bowl? Yeah, I think it's in the works.
I think it's in the works.
So NFL fans, just. Just be ready to hear the onslaught Of the squeals and screams and everybody else going crazy. With the thought of Taylor Swift, performing at the Super Bowl. And I I'm just going to throw this out. She might eclipse The pop culture phenomenon that we know was Super Bowl Sunday.
You might get The Super Bowl Half Time Show Dwarfing. Anything that you put on In the first half, second half, it can go into quadruple overtime. With With Jason Kelsey Throwing a touchdown pass to Patrick Moore, just whatever the most crazy thing you could think of is. And then of course I just this just popped into my head. All the conspiracy theorists that will say, well, now you really have to.
You really have to fix the the Super Bowl. To make Kansas City win. And maybe Taylor and Jason can get married in the end zone as they get the Lombardi trophy. Be ready for all of this that's going to come your way. Ryan, I'm telling you.
You're gonna see so much nonsense on social media and TikTok. of Taylor's bigger than the Super Bowl, Taylor's bigger than the NFL. And I don't even know what their couple name is yet. I don't think anybody's come out with the official you know, Tomcat or or or Bennett or whatever it's gonna be. They're gonna come up with whatever cute nickname that the that the TikTok folks will come up with.
But I'm telling you, if this happens... If she indeed is the half time performer at the Super Bowl, It will be bigger. Then the game itself is And all of his football fans are going to get yelled at. Buyersignificant others who were Swifties. Because when we complain, hey, can we please talk football?
No, you be quiet. We want to talk about Taylor Swift. Um It will be the clash of cultures. Where she will be bigger than the game. She will overshadow the game.
There's not a doubt in my mind. That that's all anybody will be talking about. Across the board, I could just imagine the pregame show will be 18 hours leading up to Taylor Swift performing. Uh after the uh after the first half is over. And we probably won't get any highlights.
We probably won't get any Choctaw. We won't get anything else. And God forbid, an average fan could get a ticket to go to that game? Because it would be all about Taylor Swift. It would be all about T.
Swizzle. It would be all about the Swifties. And anybody who ever thought, oh, I'd love to see a Super Bowl forget it because the tickets will be more expensive. Than any ticket you've ever seen in your entire life. The secondary ticket market.
For the Super Bowl will eclipse anything We've ever seen In in professional sports or entertainment. The tickets to that Super Bowl game will be bigger than any high-priced ticket for any concert tour we've ever seen, for every venue, for any show, and for every sporting event. Take that. Multiply it times 10. The commissioner knows what he's doing.
And by the way, you don't think the networks are drooling right now. You don't think the NFL network and the NFL officers are drooling right now, knowing. That I I I just planted that And people are going to start talking about it. When people start talking about it, you're going to get companies that are going to jump in line. to be part of that broadcast.
To be associated with the National Football League because they know. How big? How big the game will be. If Taylor Swift is indeed the half-time entertainment. It's so funny.
Who was the original Halftime Entertainment? At the first Super Bowl, at the first AFC NFC Championship game. University of Arizona Marching Band. was the very first half time show ever Now imagine All these years later, I think Fifty nine years later, he was If it's Taylor Swift, as a half time entertainment at the Super Bowl. I'm telling you, it will overshadow the game.
I mean, here's the other part. Who's using who? Is the NFL using Taylor Swift to become more popular, or is Taylor using the NFL? to make her brand bigger. Which brand is benefiting?
From the rubber. Of being associated with the other. That's why people buy sponsorships in sports. Why does Nike have their their They're swooshing all the jerseys because they want the push of the National Football League. They want to be associated with the National Football League.
They didn't like it when the jerseys were made by Reebok or whoever else. They want to be associated with that brand of the NFL because that brand is so powerful and means so much. Which brand is bigger, the National Football League? Or Taylor Swift Interesting question. because the National Football League is huge.
But Taylor Swift Internationally is probably bigger. Taylor Swift as a entertainer. Might be bigger than the National Football League.
So Is the league using her to To gain popularity or is she using the NFL? To gain popularity, you want to hit me up? I'd love to hear your thoughts. 855-212-4227-855-212-4227. Interesting question.
Who's more popular? The NFL? or Taylor Swift. You saw what happened when she went on the Kelsey Brothers podcast. Their difference went through the roof.
All the Swifties will just swarm over to see her. Who will be m who what will be bigger? And I'm afraid to tell you. It might be Taylor Swift, which will make all the regular NFL fans. incredibly upset, and then we're gonna get accused of um not getting it is uh the Super Bowl will dwarf What goes on with Taylor Swift, as she performs at halftime.
I don't know. I'm just saying that. I saw it today. That's on social media, saw the clip. Commissioner, he knew what he was doing.
He had that little smile. He said. He knew he was planting it out there, so everybody gets all worked up, and then when they finally make that announcement. Boom. Tons more money for the National Football League.
All right, coming up on the program, I do want to talk about Bill Belichick for just a second, and then in the last hour of the show. I'm going to break some people's hearts. Because we're going to talk about. College football. There's no good college football games this weekend.
By the way, college football, if you want to be the NFL, you can't give me Miami taking on Bethune Cookman, second game of the season.
Sorry, doesn't cut it. What also doesn't cut it is some of the teams in the SEC are going to go like Swanney. You know what Suwannee is? Yeah, you bet you never heard of Swanny. It was one of the original members of the SEC and they decided they wanted to put academics over athletics, left the conference, never been the same since.
There is going to be a major university. That plays big time college sports. Same thing. They're the next Swanny. We'll talk about that coming up in the fourth hour of the program.
Anyway, you guys know the number 855-212-4227, 855-212-4227. The number for you to join us. Let's step aside. Rich Ackerman standing by. I got a score in the NFL.

So, just Justin Herbert will get an opportunity to march down the field one more time. He's got one touchdown so far in the ball game, punted on their second. This will be their third possession here in Brazil. And again, number of you to join us: 855-212-4227, 855-212-4277. 4227.
It's very interesting when you think about this. Yeah. Am I playing these games in the world? internationally. Why am I in there?
Brazil. And in Europe, in Mexico City, is it for the good of the game? Is it to grow the game? Is it to increase the value? Of my franchises, and I think that's it right there.
It's to increase the value of the franchises because I think the league has, in fact, I know the league has. designs on Having a division in Europe. Or having one in South America and making the game international. Kind of like the game of soccer. The game of soccer has grown internationally.
Will a couple be coming here to the United States of America? We see the influence of soccer here in the US. And again, I'll be honest, I'm not a soccer fan, never have been, never will be. I'm going to be the last holdout.
Some of my friends have gone, Oh, Rich, you gotta watch nah, I'm not gonna watch soccer. Not for me.
Sorry, not going to do it. But is you see the game of soccer making inroads to the United States of America.
Well Let me ask you this. Would the NFL like to do the same thing? and eventually make inroads internationally. and have teams one day back. where the old World Football League was.
100%, they'd love to.
So, all of these are expeditions. This is an expeditionary force that's going to Brazil That they hope The Brazilian people will fall in love with the game, if not maybe just follow it to begin with. Catch the excitement of international competition of football. I mean, that's why the NFL. His approved players playing in the Olympics.
That's why we're going to get seven-on-seven flag football playing in the Olympics. That's no secret. That if I can grow the game internationally, I can put franchises around the world and I can increase the value of my teams. There's a couple reasons why we're going to get football in the Olympics. Number one is.
Um And you see these commercials all the time. You you realize why. Seven on seven flag football has gotten so big. Ryan, do you see these commercials all the time for play football and seeing the kids playing flag football? And you're like, what's going on with that?
I see all the the ads, but I don't In real life, I don't think I've ever seen a flag football game outside of, I don't know. A men's league? Like it it's it's good to promote getting into football, but Playing flag football is not realistic.
So here's why they're doing it. And that's why I asked you, because I and especially back in the East Coast. I don't think people get it the way they do on the west coast. I started talking about CTE. Twenty twelve.
Wow, I can't believe it's been that long ago. I started talking about CTE and brain injuries and head injuries when it came to football. And when I first started talking about it, Man, did I make some people mad Oh, people were furious with me How dare you talk about the game of football? And as we started to see what happened, Mike Webster Junior Sal and a lot of these people that you knew by name. And you saw what happened to them.
Because of CTE, All of a sudden people start having questions about well, do I really want little Johnny to sign up for Pop Warner for Pee Wee football? And what the National Football League found in college football and football across the board, the National Football Foundation found is that people were reticent to sign up their seven, eight, nine year olds to play football. because they were they were afraid of the the head injuries. And his participation in football started to wane about ten years ago the league and the sport Said we got to do something because if these kids aren't going to play football, First of all, we're not going to have enough football players because in order to play the game, you've got to start playing at a young age, fall in love with it, and then eventually some of those kids, like one percent, will make it to the National Football League. And if we don't have participation, we're going to have Not enough football players.
That was one. Number two was then they won't become football fans.
So the National Football League made a concerted effort to take something like Pop Warner football and put it to the wayside. And start promoting flag football so you get more people playing and more people participating. Because we've had seven on seven. competition they call passing leagues now. You know how you have travel baseball teams.
Now you have travel teams. passing league teams during the summer. And you have younger kids that are getting into the game of football playing flag football. Like, I have a nephew who's 9, 10 years old. He's been playing flag football for four years.
He loves football because of that. And then, as soon as he's done, Playing flag football at the age of 10, 11, 12. By the time he's 13, he'll play high school football, and then he gets in the pipeline to keep playing the game. All of this stuff is by design, none of this is by accident.
So why do we have international flag football?
So you get more football players around the world because I'll have to be able to have some homegrown talent to play in these teams that I want to establish in Europe and South America. Why do I have flag football here in the States? Because I got to get someone like my nephew playing flag football because eventually that's where the next Teddy Bruski, that's where the next Gronk is going to come from. From the flag football ranks.
So all of this is premeditated, and there's people in New York. At the commissioner's office, at the NFL offices, they sit all day and they think of these things. That's why we're we're gonna see Lots of international games, so they could put a beachhead there and eventually move the teams there one day. We're going to see more and more and more of a push for flag football. Through the Olympics, so you're going to see Patrick Mahomes one day win a gold medal for Team USA.
And you're going to see more kids wanting to play flight football when that moment comes. Think about this. What's gonna who's gonna be a bigger star? In the Olympics, there's a couple huge stars. There are the swimmers that dominate early.
And then when swimming's over, you get um You get the track and field athletes, and then in the middle, You've got the excitement of Olympic basketball. And then you have all the other sports that we kind of get excited about. If USA is doing well, there's something that's unique that we've never seen, like kayaking or whatever. When the next Olympics rolls through, who's going to be a bigger star? The NFL players that are playing flag football in the Olympics for the first time or The NBA players.
All of this is calculated as the NBA is trying to go international and the National Football League saw it and they said, I'm going to follow this guy's act. I'm going to steal their playbook, and I'm going to try to do the same.
So again All of this is premeditated. We're watching these games right now. Because they want us to imagine. They want to reimagine what the league would look like. By having teams in Brazil.
and Mexico. It threw out. Central and South America. We'll see the games in Europe because they're reimagining. Seeing somebody play at Wembley Stadium.
in an NFL uniform. Why are they having these college football games in Ireland? Because they make some money at it, but they also get to promote the sport and one day think maybe, just maybe, I can have NFL games in Ireland on a daily basis, on a weekly basis, as they continue to grow the game. All of this is a grand scam and a grand plan to make the game international. to increase the value of the franchises.
So that's why we see And you'll continue to see all these commercials. For flag football, A. to get more kids to play. B. To grow the game around the world, see.
To get us thinking about this as Olympic sports, so you make sure basketball doesn't get close to you. They just had a, I just read this the other day. There's a survey that came out. The number one sport in America was football, and it wasn't even close. It was almost 49, 50% of Americans follow the game of football.
20 I think it was 25 5% followed baseball. Twenty-four percentage. followed The NBA Then it was like soccer, golf, UFC had like 9%. That followed UFC, but far and away. They doubled up.
Football doubled up. Any other sport as far as popularity goes. And the NFL wants to make sure it continues to keep that long, long, wide. A gap between itself and everybody else. It's interesting when you just think about this and all the business side of this.
Much this game is worth, and again, they offer it on YouTube, and YouTube will use this tonight to try to sell you an NFL Sunday ticket package. I already bought so I can catch the Niners out of market. Although I wish they would have. Just individual. Um Team packages when you have to pay for it.
So I would gladly pay just to have the Niners on my television every week and have a Niner channel. Um As opposed to Paying for all the games that I don't know, maybe I'll watch it. I haven't had the Sunday ticket in a long time. We'll see. I had the red zone last year for work because I was working on Sundays so I can watch all the games.
But this year I actually broke down, got YouTube TV. Got the NFL Sunday ticket, and we'll be. Not going to sports bars every weekend, sitting there for 14 hours on Sunday. Watching the early game, the late game, and the Sunday game, I'll actually Uh this might not be good though. Ryan, I was just thinking about this.
Um I might have to do chores 'cause I won't be Sitting in the bar all day, I'll be home. She could actually ask me to do chores on Sunday now. By having the Sunday ticket, this might have been a bad idea.
Now you're fine. All you have to do. is just say the game's on, I'm researching. Or get like a notepad and just start writing random notes or start scribbling. That's the way to get through it.
No, and she and she knows. For thirty years I've been doing this, and she knows. On uh on game day, honey, I'm listen. I would love to paint the garage with you today, but But I I've got to watch the game because somebody might call in to the Infinity Sports Network and talk about it one day. I'm sorry, honey.
I as much as I love you, as much as I want to go. To hobby lobby with you on on Su on Saturday, or as much as you want me to go with you to Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and that circle that you do every Sunday. I'm gonna have to stay here and watch football because you never know.
Somebody might call up and ask me about. The backup tied into the Jacksonville Jaguars. I've got I've got to watch these games in order to do my job. And she kind of looks at me, rolls her eyes, and says, I married an idiot. But She's put up with me for all these years, so she knew what she was getting into.
All right, coming up in the next hour of the program, by the way, for those of you tuning in, I'm Richer, filling in tonight. For JR here on the JR Sport Brief, we've got one game going on right now in the NFL with the Chargers leading down in Brazil over the Kansas City Chiefs 7-0. They're about to line up for a field goal to see if they can make it a 10-point lead. Uh in the second quarter. And the kick is up.
And it is good.
So the Chargers will take a 10-0 lead. On the defending AFC champions in the second game of the NFL season. We'll continue updating you throughout the night on that ball game, but. I'm going to break your heart here in just a moment. I'm if you're a college football fan.
I'm going to start talking about college football. And I'm going to talk about the reimagined game of football. Because NIL is here to stay? The portal they're trying to clean up, but there's also a bunch of business people. It's sports executives.
that are right now pitching, pushing, lobbying. to turn College football. into a pro-style model. with forty teams. in a super 40 team conference.
And the rest will just kind of fade away and go by the wayside.
So Would your team make That 40-team conference, or is your team going to be Swanny, who was an original member of the SEC, they left. And the university's never been the same since. We'll get into that coming up. It's gonna break your heart. If you're a college football fan, but I'm gonna tell you who's gonna be in that 40-team conference and more importantly, who's not.
