California, often referred to as the Golden State, has been a hub for spiritual movements and trends that shape the nation. The state's history of spiritual awakenings, including the Jesus Movement of the 1960s and 1970s, holds promise for another revival. As President Biden has noted, California's influence extends beyond its borders, making it a crucial location for spreading the gospel and bringing hope to the nation.

Hey, everybody. Greg Laurie with some thoughts about the Golden State, the state of California. That's where I am right now. I was born in California, raised in California, went to school here, came to Christ here, and also started a church here almost 50 years ago. Now, a lot of people are leaving our fair state and they're going elsewhere. They're moving to Arizona or to Texas or to Tennessee and many other places. And I'll jokingly say to them, well, someone's got to stay here to turn the lights off.
But actually, I want to stay here to turn the lights on. I think California needs the gospel. I think California needs the Word of God.
And I want to stay here to do that and bring that message as long as I can. You know, there's a saying that says basically, as California goes, so goes the nation. Trends start here. Influence comes from here. In fact, President Biden recently said he would like the whole nation to be like California.
Well, you know what? Around 50 years ago, the last great spiritual awakening in America happened right here in Southern California. It was called the Jesus Movement. I pray we have another Jesus Movement and that spreads around the nation so we could say, as California goes, so goes the nation. Pray for our state. Pray for our nation. The gospel is our only hope.
