Lifeline Community Church
In 2004, two families left their homes in Texas and moved to Utah to start a church. There was no congregation or building, just a dream. Lifeline Community has come a long way since then, but our mission is still the same. We long to be exactly what our name says: a lifeline. But a lifeline of what?

The church must reclaim biblical manhood by renewing the mind, which involves recognizing the propensity to conform to the world, embracing the responsibility to think Christianly, appreciating the mercy of God, and recognizing the right means to cultivate a renewed mind, such as time in the Word, fellowship, prayer, and singing hymns. The Bible's teachings on sex and sexuality are rooted in God's design for marriage and relationships. According to Scripture, sex is a celebration of the marriage covenant, a source of pleasure between a husband and wife, a means of procreation, and a reflection of God's loyal love. Christians are called to understand and apply these principles to their lives, recognizing that their bodies are not their own but belong to God, and that sex is a good gift that can be corrupted by sin. The Christian's duty to God versus government is a pressing issue, especially during times of crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. Christians must weigh their obedience to God's commands against government mandates, considering principles like sovereign appointment, accountability, and spheres of authority. The evangelical church has undergone significant changes in recent decades, with many compromising on biblical fidelity. The term 'evangelical' has become diluted, and the church has been influenced by seeker-sensitive models, parachurch ministries, and a focus on social justice. The vaccine and COVID-19 pandemic have also raised concerns about the church's response to government mandates and the role of science in faith. Meanwhile, critical race theory and social justice have become increasingly prominent in evangelical circles, leading to divisions and debates within the church. As the church seeks to reform and rediscover its biblical roots, it must confront these challenges and prioritize a high view of Scripture. [... more]

The church's responsibility in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is a complex issue, with some arguing that churches should comply with government orders to shut down or limit worship services, while others believe that Christians should prioritize their right to assemble together and worship as commanded in Scripture. The elders of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles have taken a stand against the government's orders, citing the biblical commands to obey God rather than men and to assemble together for worship. They have argued that the government's restrictions on worship services are unreasonable and unbiblical, and have decided to continue holding indoor services with singing and no attendance cap, despite the potential risks of fines or arrest.
