We're coming to you live from the Rocket Mortgage Studios. Whether you're looking to purchase a new home or refinance yours, Rocket Mortgage could help you get there.

For home loan solutions that fit your life well, Rocket can. We'll play you some audio from our interview with Kurt Warner yesterday, some takeaways from that that we'll have a little discussion about, as Hickey's going to probably continue to lead this Broncos propaganda. Yesterday, you had Kurt Warner saying he's basically concerned, doesn't like what he's seeing out of Russ, and also the design of that offense. Today, Mike Golick joined us and he said he is concerned, and Russ isn't looking like the quarterback that he was in Seattle. And Hickey just keeps on standing there, waving that Broncos flag, they're two and one! After they beat like basically two JV teams with the way those two teams are playing. Texans had a JV offense, 49ers had a JV offense, and they barely beat them.

And Hickey goes, oh, they're two and one! As he keeps on trying to tell me that Nathaniel Hackett is a top three coach in the NFL, he's wrong. He's trying to tell me that Russell Wilson's going to win the MVP this year, he's wrong. And he's also telling me that the Broncos are going to not only be in the Super Bowl, but they're going to win the whole thing.

He's going to be wrong. So this is what it is. This is what I kind of realized. Hickey, we talk about the extension of the preseason being the first three, four weeks of the regular season. Hickey makes these dumb takes.

There's like two of them. Last year was Wentz is going to lead the Colts to great success, and he's a franchise quarterback. And now this year, it's going on with the Broncos. And he's just chalking this up right now, that's an extension of the preseason, ah, they're going to get it together.

And he's not learning from his wrong analysis and his shortcomings of a year ago. So, hey, I told Hickey not to put his hand on the stove. Last year, he put his hand on his stove, got burned. He still doesn't believe the stove is hot, and he's going to have some burns on his hand at the end of the season. When the C's were choppy last year with the Rams, when Matthew Stafford decided to throw an interception every throw he had the last month of the season, did I jump ship?

Stayed on, and that paid off because guess what would be smooth to sail waters, and I found paradise. But that wasn't an absurd take last year that the Rams are going to be a great team. They were in the Super Bowl a few years ago with Jared Goff.

Sean McVay is the top five coach in the league. I'm talking about absurd takes. You said Wentz was a franchise quarterback.

You said Wentz was better than Josh Allen. Wrong. Well, I quickly walked out. Quickly. Quickly. Yeah, quickly.

Quickly. Man, it was a little bit longer than you think. And then this year, the Broncos stuff, the really bad ones, Hackett, like Russ winning MVP.

OK, I could see it. Broncos winning the Super Bowl. Don't love that one. And I didn't pick it to make the playoffs, but the Hackett one's really bad. Your three worst takes ever. Carson Wentz better than Josh Allen. Frank Reich, a better coach than Sean McDermott. And then Nathaniel Hackett's going to be a top three coach of the year candidate. Those are your three worst takes.

Other than that, you have some decent takes. Oh, good defense there by the Dolphins on fourth and one. The Bengals go for it. They pitch it to Mixon and they make the stop. So they survived the Tuatunga-Wailoa interception where the ball was under thrown as Tyree kill. There was two guys on him, but he had a lot of room and the ball was under throw and it got intercepted. So you get the turnover on downs there. Dolphins going to get the football back.

All right. So Hickey has identified, even though he's not great at picking top quarterbacks, he's identified some of the top quarterback matchups of the weekend. And he wants my kind of opinions or thoughts if I would go this quarterback or that quarterback.

What do you got? That's right. Just to make a ground rule or stipulation, this is for this week only, not like for the season or not like who's the better quarterback. Just we're going into this week, week four specifically.

Which quarterback would you rather have for this game only? Let's start with this game. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. You can get with this so you can get with that.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that. All right, let's go. Tua or Joe Burrow? I know this game is underway.

Which quarterback would you rather have just for this game only? Now, I did not know when we were going to get to this segment. So I told Hickey my answer before this when he came up with this idea for tonight and it's written down on this piece of paper in front of me. Can you tell me the name that I put down there just so people know I'm not lying? Joe Burrow? Is that a guess?

You have it? It's right on the sheet of paper in front of you on the rundown. Oh, I actually didn't see you answered it. Sorry. Yeah, I put all my answers in there because I didn't want to be called a fraud if we got to this at like nine o'clock and Burrow was out playing Tua Tunga Vailoa. Can confirm you have Joe Burrow in type, not in pencil. Yeah, that was not very convincing there by you.

You got to help me out there a little bit better. I looked quick and I saw the names. I actually for a second didn't didn't compute. Not the fastest today. Yeah, that has been the fastest whole football season. Yeah, I take Joe Burrow over too. Joe Burrow is a better quarterback.

They both have a lot of weapons. We all know that. But for one game, desperation's on the Bengals at one and two. You got to avoid the one and three start. The dreadful one and three start. The only thing worse than one and three is 0 and 4.

How about that for analysis? I'm taking Joe Burrow over to Tunga Vailoa. He's just a better quarterback. Sunday night, a great battle. Buccaneers chiefs would rather have Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes? Just for this week, right? Just for this week.

Patrick Mahomes. You're stung by that. Save that audio for later. But it's just for this week. Yes. It's a very easy explanation. But, you know, we'll just cut that part out.

It's a very easy explanation. Who's Brady throwing the football to this week? You get Mike Evans back. And I know Mahomes doesn't have these wonderful weapons. But he does have Travis Kelce. And that offensive line for Tampa has been a problem. Like, I think Tampa could win the game. Defensively, they are a dominant defensive team. And I do think the Bucs will be in the Super Bowl this year. But offensively right now, it's all about timing in this league.

And they have not had a good offense the first three games of the season. Let's go to my guy, Russell Wilson. The future future MVP of the league or Derek Carr?

Just this week. Russ. I don't like either of these quarterbacks this week.

Someone has to win or you could do what your team did up against the Texans in Thai. I would go the Russell over Carr. Russ, I think is Russ a good quarterback.

A very good quarterback. He's a top 10 quarterback. Derek Carr is borderline top 10.

You may start to see some regression or is it a lack of synergy and a new home right now? Russ has not been great the last year and a half. But still, even when he's not great, he is a top 10 quarterback in this league. Carr only has like a moment or two in a season where he looks like a top 10 quarterback.

And then he's just outside the top 10. I would take Russ for this week. In one game, I got to trust one over the other. Doesn't necessarily mean they're going to win the game. Russ, who knows what either of these teams show up. But just by the quarterback, you tell me they could be on either team. You just got to pick the better quarterback. Yeah, Russ is better than Carr. Two best quarterbacks in the NFL so far facing each other. Bill's Ravens, which means Josh Allen versus Lamar Jackson. Which way are you going?

Now, this is the toughest one. Here's why. I was good to put Lamar as my MVP this year. And then I went with Josh Allen because I picked the Ravens to get to the Super Bowl.

I wanted to be different. Everyone was going Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo. Now, if I would have just went with Buffalo, Lamar would have been my MVP. Lamar, four passing touchdowns last week, ran for 100. I'll go Josh Allen and here's why. I'm taking I think Josh Allen is the better all-around quarterback.

But you got to look at the environment in which he plays it. The Lamar offense is built all around Lamar. Yeah, you get JK Dobbins back. DuVernay's been okay. Rashad Bateman, we got to see if he could be worth that first round pick.

And I like Rashad Bateman. But the talent on Buffalo to throw the football to is greater. Diggs, Gabe Davis.

And that factors into the situation that they're in. I think at this point in the season, you're splitting hairs. But I do think Josh Allen is the better overall quarterback. So that's a tiebreaker for me. Weapons and then just me thinking he is slightly the better quarterback, even though it's only for one week. It's close.

Very close. Toughest one. Two best quarterbacks that you mentioned. Titans, Colts. Matt Ryan or Ryan Tannehill? Matt Ryan. Both of these quarterbacks right now are uninspiring.

I'll trust Ryan more than Tannehill, even though I do think Tennessee is going to win the game. But that's more so I think you're going to see a dominant effort from Derrick Henry. Is your boy Shaq Leonard, who hasn't played in a game yet, is he expected to play this week?

Ever since going to Shaq Leonard instead of Darius Leonard, we haven't seen him on the field yet. No idea. He's practicing. He has said when he's ready to play, feels good, he will play. OK.

Very vague. You've got to think he's playing this week. I hope so. I really hope so.

He's practiced. Full participant? Yes. Not limited? No. Full.

All right. Then he should be playing. Well, he's been full the last three weeks.

That's the issue. But this is Tennessee. This is a big week. Now, Shaq Leonard, I would not mess with.

That dude is a heck of a football player. You got to play this week. You got to give it a go.

If you're a full participant in practice, you got to give it a go. I hope you're right. I hope you are right.

All right. Battle of the current backup versus the former backup. Jacoby Brissett taking on Marcus Mariota. Who would you rather have? Wait, how did you word that again? Current backup versus the former backup.

How so? Jacoby Brissett's a backup. I know he's starting, but he's a backup in Cleveland. Former backup Marcus Mariota used to be the backup in Vegas with the Raiders. Now he's starting in Atlanta. Yeah, but this is the Browns and the Falcons.

Yeah. Brissett versus Mariota. I know, but it's not like Mariota is going up against the Raiders.

That was just weird how you worded that. We used to be a backup quarterback. And Jacoby Brissett is a backup quarterback who just started. Former Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota. What did that have to do with this conversation? Well, it's two quarterbacks are not very good.

Trying to dress it up. Thank you. I've actually, the Falcons aren't a good team. We know that. They've been gritty. Cordell Patterson's been good. Drake Lund's been good, but Jacoby Brissett's playing okay football right now. I trust Brissett more than Mariota. Mariota, when it's all clicking, he could be really good, but it never all clicks for him. Brissett's like your game manager. He'll never be like awful awful.

He's never going to be great, but he can manage the game and try to weather the storm. Did Tua just throw another pick? I believe it's incomplete. Incompletion and ripped out, but it was one of those bang bang incompletions.

Gotcha. I just saw the ball go up in the air out of the corner of my eye and then into the hands of someone else. But I thought it may have hit the turf or whatnot.

Let's see. Here comes the replay. They were going to Jalen Waddle. Waddle over the middle. That's a good throw in the breadbasket now going to the ground. It was just ripped out.

Okay. Yeah, Brissett over Mariota. Nice NFC West battle Rams versus the 49ers. Jimmy G or Matthew Stafford? Stafford. Stafford. And he has not looked great this year. He's actually been underwhelming, but Jimmy G just ran out of the back of the end zone. So I have to go Stafford.

Running out of the back of the end zone is the trump card for sure. And finally, battle of former Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. I would love to know LaShawn McCoy's thoughts on this. Because he called Kyler Murray trash, which is crazy. He's not a great quarterback yet. He's got to show me they can be a great quarterback, but he's been good. I would take Kyler over Baker. Just in terms of quarterbacking, yeah, Kyler over Baker.

Baker has not been good. Alrighty, let's hear from someone that was good. Was not only good, he was great. That was Kurt Warner, the Pro Football Hall of Famer joined us yesterday.

I just want to revisit some of these quotes. Let's listen up to Kurt Warner on if the Eagles are Super Bowl contenders. I think we're talking about the Eagles in that mix of teams that can win the NFC. I just think they're too talented across the board, have so many ways that they can beat you. I look around the NFC and everybody else has got their issues that I think we're talking about them in the mix. Ultimately it will come down to Jalen Hurst continuing to play the way that he's played up to this point.

And that's primarily through the air. We know what he's going to be as a playmaker. We know what he's going to be as a quarterback. They can run their zone reads and do that sort of thing. It always comes to the point where they force you to stay in the pocket. You have to beat teams in the pocket usually when you get to the playoffs. Will he make that progression where he can win some games in the pocket against really good teams? That will be the ultimate question because I think they're talented enough and good enough on both sides of the ball to be in the match. Ryan, are the Philadelphia Eagles a Super Bowl contender?

Right now? Yes. Yeah, they are.

And Kurt's exactly right. They're a well-rounded football team. Their quarterback is starting to show when given an environment where he could succeed with some talent that he could be a good quarterback, a very good quarterback. They have a tremendous offensive line, a tremendous defense.

And you also have to look at a conference that's not deep. Like Green Bay, Tampa, the Rams, those are the only three teams that I can see going to the Super Bowl in the NFC going into the season. None of them have been strong. I still think Tampa's going to the Super Bowl. But Philadelphia has clearly asserted themselves as the fourth best team in this conference. And they may not be four. What I mean by that is when you look at a top four, we're wondering who that fourth team is going to be. They're clearly that fourth team. And before that, you would have thought, oh, no way they could pass the Packers, the Bucks, the Rams.

I'm not ready to go there yet. But they're not looking like, oh, yeah, that's your throw in for a fourth team. They're looking really damn good. So I would say that if I could only now envision four teams going to the Super Bowl in the NFC, Philadelphia would be one of them with the other three that I said. Tampa, Green Bay, and the Rams. Yeah, Eagles, Super Bowl contender. Here is Kurt Warner, Dolphins just got a field goal, so it's 7-6, on how legit the Dolphins are with their 3-0 start.

On the other side, I still have some questions about where Miami will be at the end of the year. We've seen some great moments. We obviously saw the great second half against the Ravens, where they scored 35 points. But the first three halves of football they played in the season, they scored 27 points. You know, last week they scored 21 points. So it's like we've seen some really explosive and great moments. But I don't know if we've seen it as consistently as we need to for them to be in the mix, especially in the AFC, come playoff time. Now, that doesn't mean they can't beat anybody. But playoff time, you've got to beat good teams three weeks in a row.

And you've got to be able to outscore them as well as outdefense them at different times. And so, although we've seen some good things and we've seen progress from two... I'm just one of those guys that goes, okay, but I want to see what you did in that second half against the Ravens on a weekly basis. I want to see you have the ability to be explosive and put two or three touchdowns on the board in a quarter numerous times.

And we haven't seen that. So we can't just hang on that one half and say that's who they are, which I feel like we're kind of doing that right now. They've got room to grow in terms of efficiency and explosiveness on a consistent half-to-half, week-to-week basis. I would not put the Dolphins as a Super Bowl contender. I can't see them getting to a Super Bowl. But they should easily be in the playoffs this year. And I think they're a wildcard team. Can they maybe fight for this AFC East and just beat Buffalo?

Sure. I still think Buffalo's going to win the division. But I would just look at Miami right now. Before the year you had to make the playoffs. That still to me is the expectation. And you should make the playoffs when you get off to a 3-0 start, regardless of what happens tonight.

How about yourself, Ryan? I'm with you. I like what Miami's doing, but the AFC's still deep. It's still tough. I don't think they're at the upper echelon like a Bills or a Chiefs just yet. They're off to a good start. And they just beat the Bills.

Right. To put them there comes Super Bowl time. And let's hear two more from Kurt Warner.

Kurt on if he's concerned with the Arizona Cardinals. I don't know what they're building off of right now. A lot of teams when you get to week three you kind of say, Okay, this is who they are. This is what they're going to kind of hang on to. And this is what they're going to be able to build around.

And I really haven't seen that. Obviously the Cardinals can build around Kyler doing Kyler stuff. But it's just hard to win expecting Kyler to just have to run around and make every play for you. You've got to find a way to make the game easier and develop an offense that he feels comfortable with.

That you can go out and execute on a weekly basis. And I haven't seen that. And that's the problem. They're asking him to do too much. And you look at the one game that they won. They were down 20-0 and he had to do everything in his power.

Miraculous play after miraculous play. And it still wasn't even going to get them to a victory until you had Hunter Renfro fumble the football in overtime up against the Raiders. And finally, this is Kurt Warner on if the Broncos can turn it around. And I watched Denver and Denver is kind of all over the place to me.

I just got done watching the tape and I questioned some of the concepts they have. Russell doesn't look comfortable with what he's seeing. He's moving out of the pocket a little bit too fast in a lot of situations. And again, I don't think he's at a stage in his career where you can just expect him to make those 15 plays a game that he made in Seattle. And that to be what carries you along with that good defense. They're just going to have to get more efficient offensively.

But I just don't see where it's coming from or a path in these first three games that excite me. I think trust is a major issue with Denver right now, Ryan. Russ maybe not trusting what's around him. Russ maybe not trusting the coach. Players not trusting the coach because he's looked like a bozo through the first three weeks of the season. And then also there's been some maybe concern level about Russ. Because last year and a half we all just said it was Pete Carroll and a bad situation in Seattle.

He goes to a new situation and some of those same things are happening. You know, can they be good next year? Yeah. Do I think they're going to be really good this year? No.

But I think until we see it, there's going to be those questions underneath the microscope. And they have not been a team that has gotten my trust yet. That's the best way I could say it, right? And I can't argue that. Like they've given you no reason to trust them.

Thought they were going to Super Bowl. Hacking coach of the year. A lot of time. Your words. You're right about the trust because Russ does not look comfortable. He only is targeting Courtland Sunlight.

That's really it. Plenty of time to iron those problems out. Not week 15. It's like, Javonte Williams needs to get more carries. Melvin Gordon, every time I see him now, and he's still solid, but I just think of a guy that's going to fumble.

So that's where I'm kind of out of the Bronx because I think there's trust issues all around. Zach Gelb's for CBS Sports Radio. Horrible sight in this Dolphins-Bangles game. To a tongue of Iloa while getting tackled. He fell down on his back.

They're showing the replay right now. His elbow hits first. And right away, it was, I think it was his throwing hand.

His hand, both of his hands actually, now looking at it, they're shaking. So like your first thought is potentially a head injury. And you remember last week where they cleared him to return for a concussion and they said it was a back injury. So I guess he didn't have the concussion. But with the way that he looked like he was grabbing for his head right away and his hands were shaking.

So you're thinking this could be maybe he re-aggravated the back or it's a head injury or maybe he dislocated or broke some fingers. But they just came back from commercial break and they went to another commercial break as Tua was just lying on the field still. And right away, one of the Bengals players, one of the defensive players dropped down on one knee. And you know in football when someone seriously hurt, you get down on a knee. And that Bengals player, whoever it was, right away got down on one knee. And they went to a break, they come back to a break and they go right back to another commercial break.

So I'm just assuming here that the cart is coming out to go get Tua Tunga Vailoa. And that was, Ryan, that was scary. Like when you see his hand shaking, at first I go, oh did like his hand hit the turf and like did he get caught up in a helmet or something? It looks like a normal tackle and his hand, both of his hands were uncontrollably shaking. That was really, really scary. Really scary and you know he gets slammed back, his head hits the turf and obviously you go right back to what happened, what we saw four days ago. And it's just even scarier that now we're talking about two potential head injuries in four days.

It's freaky. The weirdest thing though were the hands shaking because you would have thought his hand, like I just said, would have got caught up in a helmet. Would have hit a helmet when his hands were shaking like that when you first just see it.

That was, it's so unfortunate, obviously, whenever something like that happens. But with how well he's playing and how weird last week it was, where we all thought it was a concussion, oh no, it was never a concussion, they never put a player in harm's way. And then the next thing you know, it was a back injury.

You know, could it be multiple things? But one of his fingers is crossed over the other finger and his hands are shaking. Now, it doesn't look like his head hits the ground there that hard at all. And they are putting him on the stretcher and they're going to carry him off the field here. So, you watch something like that and it always amazes me too how something like that happens and then these players just go back. Like, I know it's part of the game, but it's always kind of crazy how then you have to go back to playing football after this. But 543 left in the first half, Bengals are up 7-6 and the biggest story here is Tuatunga Vailoa is now getting taken off this game on a stretcher.

Marco, that was scary when you see his hand shaking like that. That doesn't look good at all. Right? Because the hit, you saw the hit.

It would look like it's a normal NFL tackle. I know. But he's getting thrown to the ground.

Right. And his head did hit the ground, but it didn't look as violent as we've seen a lot of different things. But the fact that, I mean, they took the face mask off, they immobilized him, they're carting him off.

I mean, none of that looks good in any way. Like last week you saw his head snap back. And hit hard. And hit hard.

Absolutely. His head did not hit hard here. Not at all.

Not at all. Now, you could tell me, right, it's an independent doctor that has to clear him of the concussion tests and all that stuff. Last week, I know you get into this, was it a concussion? Was it a back? You wonder how much is this, is a carryover effect from last week.

It very well could be. And last week I'm like, okay, maybe his back did just go out. Right. His back didn't go out there. No, I mean, if that's his back, that's dangerous too because that means that something's not right in there. Spine injury.

Right. Again, we're speculating, which is not good. When you see something that doesn't look violent in a ridiculously violent sport, and you see someone carted off the way they are with the face mask taken off. And again, the way his hands just crossed over one and started shaking. It didn't look normal. It didn't look right. It looked scary. It looked like things that you're not supposed to see and things that we're all scared to see.

So we hope the tongue of eye low is okay, but again, that did not look good, and the first thing you do think of is, again, last week you're talking about on a short week. And you're compounding one into another. That's where it could get really dangerous and scary, and that's why everybody's so worried about concussions.

Simply because if you have them back to back, it could do some serious, serious damage, and that's the problem. Yeah, RG3 just tweeted out, I've never seen someone's hand lock up like that, praying for two. I've never seen someone's hand like that. I mean, look, I have, but not in that situation. I've seen it where it's like a cramp and you see hands like, look, they go in weird situations. I've had that. Brought up in a face mask or something.

Yeah, yeah. But for no contact to the hand area, it was one of his fingers crossed over the other, and both his hands were shaking. Again, if you didn't know the situation and you just saw the picture of the hands, I would have thought he was cramping. And his hands, because I've seen that before, and that's normal. It just didn't look right. It did not look right at all.

Because I didn't see it originally happen. And I look up as they're showing him on the ground before they go to commercial break, and I just see his hand shaking. I go, oh, did he break a hand? Did his hand hit something, something like that? And then you see it again.

That's scary. I hate sounding like a broken record, but that's all you could say. There's a lot of times you watch a sport, you know it's a violent sport, you know it's a malicious sport. You know there's a lot of messed up things that go on the football field.

That was one where, and one of the Bengals players right away got down on one, like he knew it was bad right away. Players will let you know with their body language faster than anybody else can, you know, you'll see it, but the players let you know fast. I mean, they know. They're going through everything.

I mean, again, how many times have we said it? It's a car crash on every player. They know when something's different than the normal. And I know this is Amazon Prime and this is their first time doing it, but I can't remember you go to a commercial break. And obviously there's been times where you come back and the players still on the field and they're starting to get them off. But they came back and then they were like, went right to another commercial break, like 30 seconds after, because they knew that this was going to be longer than what is normal. Yeah, I'm sure they're going through that kind of stuff, too. But I mean, we've seen that before on other networks.

It's not like I don't want to get on Amazon Prime for that. No, I'm just saying it. I think it speaks to the extent of the injury a little bit. Yeah, it could be.

I mean, they maybe they didn't realize some of it either. I mean, once you see the car coming out, then you know what's going on. But again, just to see him on the ground, it didn't look when you look at the original hit, you see it in live speed, it didn't look that bad. And then you see him on the ground and, you know, obviously it is awful. And when you whenever they take the face mask off and they immobilize you and they put you on the cart and, you know, Tua didn't do much as they carted him off.

A lot of times you just like the thumbs up or whatever. Tua didn't give you anything. Yeah, I didn't see it either. And again, that doesn't mean anything, but it's just it's it's scary. You don't want to ever see a player on that cart ever at any point.

Again, never mind to see something where he obviously couldn't control his hands when he was on the ground, which is definitely scary. It is Zach Gelb's show on CBS Sports Radio. We will take a break. We'll keep you updated if we get any more information. We will come on back.

We will ring the closing bell also on the other side. I will play you a little AJ McCarran audio on some thoughts on Brian Harsin and Lane Kiffin frustrated with some Ole Miss fans and the Dolphins. I believe that is T Higgins just had a long touchdown thrown by Joe Burrow and he takes it to the house. So the Bengals who were up 7 to 6 as the Dolphins just missed the field goal going to increase their lead here as T Higgins on the left sideline catches football breaks a tackle and goes in for a score. You're listening to the Zach Gelb show.

It is Zach Gelb show on CBS Sports Radio. We do have an injury update on Tua Tungavailoa. We just discussed how scary of a situation that is.

It gets even scarier to no surprise, but it just shows you how quickly this happens. Tua just left the stadium, immediately left the stadium per Cameron Wolfe and he is in an ambulance on his way to the hospital. The Dolphins just released a tweet that says injury update Tua Tungavailoa is out for the game with head and neck injuries. If you are just tuning in, last week we thought he left the game to get evaluated for a concussion. He cleared protocol, came back into the game which we were all stunned by afterwards.

He'd tell you it's a back injury. There was some skepticism there because you all saw it last week and his head hit the ground hard. This week he got tackled by a defensive lineman, was thrown to the ground, looks like a normal tackle.

A little extra on it, but nothing out of the realm of what is a football tackle. His head didn't even really hit the turf that hard. The next thing you know right away, his hands locked up. One of his fingers went over the other and it was shaking.

It was definitely a scary sight. They took him off the stretcher, they removed his face mask. And now Tua Tungavailoa is in an ambulance and the Dolphins are saying it is a head and neck injury. Hickey, just real quickly here, what were you saying that Florio was talking about this in regards to his hands?

Just tell the audience on that front. The hands you were talking about that were just locked in a weird formation is called a fencing response. Which happens when you get a concussion, your forearms and your hands go into unnatural body positions as a response to traumatic brain trauma. Which unfortunately we just saw Tua Tungavailoa got slammed down on the ground and hit his neck and back and head on the turf.

That's where the fingers come into play and the hands go in that weird unnatural position. It's a response by the body in response to brain trauma. Now Pro Football Network, because we can't hear the Amazon Prime broadcast right now, we can only watch it. So this is from Pro Football Network. Amazon broadcast notes that Tua sustained neck and head injuries on the sack. They noted that Tua was conscious coming off the field. He is on a way to a level one trauma center miles away from the stadium. So that is the latest right now on what was a very scary situation between the Bengals and the Dolphins. Bengals right now lead 14 to 6. I personally don't care who wins this game.

I'm just very concerned about what happened to a Tua Tungavailoa. Because sometimes you see injuries on a football field and we're kind of just like... It's normal, right? In a weird way. I hate to say that. But you see injuries and you go, OK, it's unfortunate.

But that's what happens when you play. What just happened with Tua, that was scary. It was frightening. There was no doubt about it.

That was frightening when you just saw the way that his hands locked up and were shaking like that. This is that Gelb show on CBS Sports Radio. Let's get to the closing bell. Another day is in the books and we're taking stock of the sports world. It's time to find out who's up and who's down.

Welcome back from an injury, Zach Wilson. Derek Carr, his contract, very favorable to the Raiders organization. Next year, 5 million on the dead cap.

They could get out of it, cut him by, I think it's like February 13th or 16th, whatever the date was. And there's only 5 million dead cap next year. Raiders in an 0-3 spot.

They have not looked good, clearly. And they gave him a three-year extension. But you look at the dead cap year to year to year, it's easy to get out of that deal. I think that's in a bad situation, you want to have your quarterback. But the fact that you could get out of that contract very easily, it's a good way the Raiders structure that deal.

Stock up. Let's hear Boomer Esiason on the Up and Atoms show, hosted by Kay Adams. A great name, by the way, Up and Atoms.

I really do like that name. Boomer Esiason suggests that the Bills should trade for Saquon Barkley. Saquon Barkley continues to do what he's doing if he's not traded by the trade deadline.

And that's a serious thing that I would think that the Buffalo Bills would love to look at and make the Giants possible. Why would the Giants keep him? I mean, especially if you can get a reasonably good draft pick. Now, there will be a compensatory pick for him if he leaves via free agency next year. The highest that could be would be in the third round, assuming that they don't replace him with some other sort of free agent and spend the same kind of money.

You know, the way that they do that is kind of interesting in the offseason. But, you know, if the Bills would love to have a top-end running back and give the Giants a second- or third-round draft pick, wouldn't you have to consider it if you're the Giants? Yeah, it's the final year of that contract for Saquon Barkley of New York. With his injury pass, I know he's playing good football this year.

I don't know how you give him a long-term extension and feel good about it. And the Bills are in a win-now mode. And their only hole is at the running back spot.

Their only potential blemish is at the running back position. You're making Josh Allen run that much. I'd give him a second- or third-round pick for Saquon Barkley if I'm the Bills. Good suggestion by Boomer.

Give him a stock up. Let's hear from AJ McCarron. He says Brian Harsin would have been fired if the Tigers lost to Missouri this courtesy of the ringer. There's so many coaching changes going on in college.

Guys really don't get a whole lot of time. I mean, you look at Harsin's, for example. From what I'm hearing from my sources over there, Harsin's already been told he's done after this year. The Penn State, from what I heard, brought a ton of disappointment. It's not the fact that they lost, because Penn State ranked in the top 25. But it's the fact that the way they lost, it was a bad loss from them. And then I'd heard that if they lost to Missouri this past weekend, he was going to be fired on Sunday. So it's going to be interesting to see the rest of the year for them.

Do they have a bad loss to a team like LSU? And the people behind the scenes making the decisions, did they just say, Hey, it's time to cut our ties and then we'll start the search now? I think we all know that Brian Harsin's going to get fired at the end of the season. But that's going to be a rough spot.

And it's kind of tough to believe, right, Ryan? They already told them, hey, you're done at the end of the season. Because the only reason that if Harsin, you're sticking around is you want to get all your money. It's not like you say, OK, that I'm just not going to work if you're going to fire me at the end of the season. But he knows that he's done at the end of the year. He was on the hot seat after one year at Auburn.

So I kind of look at that. I don't know if he was told that he was getting fired, but someone in that athletic department had to obviously say to AJ McCarron, Hey, this is going to be over. But the fact that McCarron said he was told that he was done at the end of the year is like the bizarre part to me that doesn't add up. Well, like you mentioned, if you want to get your money, you're not going to quit.

Yeah, but why would you then tell him, like, if you're going to fire him at the end, why not just fire him now? I would agree. I would agree.

So stock down to Brian Harsin. Lane Kiffin expresses his frustration with Ole Miss fans tailgating too long. You know, when you come back out and you run out the tunnel and it looks like, you know, a high school game playing in a college stadium, you can't let that affect you. I mean, you know, there's psychology to that, obviously. There's a home field advantage for a reason. And, you know, when it goes the other way, you kind of have that feeling, you know, that, man, are we still really playing in a game here? You know, the players have to fight that. So, again, we use that as a learning lesson for our guys. So if that's the case, that's the case. But, I mean, I'm worried about what I can control.

I've tried social media in here for two years. So, you know, we'll worry about what we can control and that's getting our players ready to play. That sounds like a coach, Ryan, that the right job comes calling.

He's saying goodbye to Hotty Toddy. That's that's what I gather from that. It's a fair assumption. Now, to be fair, the home opponents have not been great.

Troy, Central Arkansas, Tulsa. They play Kentucky this week, and I have to imagine that's a packed stadium right at the jump. If it's not, then I think Lane Kiffin is definitely gone. But I think that was the way. OK, guys, let's not leave any stone unturned. I haven't shown up early on.

I'm going to challenge you. Get there before the game, even if you maybe heckle me a little bit. Let's really cause some hell for Kentucky. So, give in stock down to the Ole Miss fans.

Are we showing up late? This is Zach Guilfjoe on CBS Sports Radio. Big thanks to Dave Dorn. Big thanks to Mike Gulick.

Each and every one of you. Our best wish is to do a tongue goodbye. Loa, that game is at the half. It's a two-point game. Miami just got a touchdown. Cincinnati 14, Miami 12. Good bye, talk to you tomorrow, everybody. Peace.
