The Bible teaches that men and women have distinct roles in marriage, with men as the head and women as the helper. This order is not based on superiority, but rather on the design of God. The fall of man in the Garden of Eden introduced distortions in relationships, leading to a desire for control and manipulation. However, the gospel restores relationships to their original design, where men lead and women submit, and both are equal in essence but different in function.
