Here at CBS Sunday Morning, we love telling stories about life transitions—the moments when people pause, take stock, and decide to write an entirely new chapter. For so many women entering midlife, that transition comes with an honest realization: after decades of taking care of everyone else, it's finally time to take care of yourself. That is at the heart of a refreshing new show called the We Do Not Care Club podcast, hosted by New York Times best-selling author Melanie Sanders. From menopause to marriage, motherhood, sex, relationships, changing bodies, mental health, money, food, and letting go of the guilt—no topic is off limits. Join Melanie every week as she leads hilarious, heartfelt weekly conversations about letting go of unrealistic expectations and embracing who you truly are.
Find the We Do Not Care Club everywhere you get your podcasts. We've also included a link in our show description.
Now, here's a little more from Melanie. Attention, our new and existing members of the W DNC. I'm Melanie Sanders, and this is the We Do Not Care Club podcast. Let's get the chit chat. Let's run our mouths.
We got to midlife and realized we just simply do not care much anymore. I lay in the bed as long as I wanted to. I had ice cream for dinner. I don't care about wearing a good bra or having a good attitude. I just said it.
It was so empowering. I felt beautiful. I felt strong. I felt free. I said, "Girl, stop!
Just stop! Stop! Stop!" You are at capacity. Chill out.
Now we gotta help each other make sense of hot flashes, dry. Do you still find me attractive? Of course. Why you start laughing? We're gonna talk about sex for a second.
We're raw dogging life. How y'all looking? It's there. Trifling families, food, money. Don't think about well, one day when you get money, you could do this.
No, just friggin' do it. Brain fog. I can't remember anything. I forgot the question. And yes, bat wings.
I would love to just wake up one day and say, you know what? I'm gonna wear a tank top. Let's do it. Nobody's thinking about your arms more than you are. We are not alone, and we will be heard.
Well, I'll tell you the best advice I can give you.
Okay. And if you promise to do it, okay. Breathe. You didn't do it. I'm breathing.
No, no, no. Listen to the We Do Not Care Club podcast with me, Melanie Sanders, wherever you get your podcasts, and be sure to follow so you'll never miss an episode. I've never milked a cow, and I'm scared. Are you? I'm doing a lot of stuff scared now.
