I am Pastor Ernie Sanders, the voice of the Christian Resistance. Stay tuned, my radio broadcast, What's Right, What's Left, is coming up right now.
Coming to you live from Independence, Ohio. We changed our life for the better in many different ways. Heard around the world every Monday through Friday. Pastor Sanders is always years ahead of the rest of the media telling you exactly what they're covering up.
This is What's Right, What's Left. I tune in every chance I get to hear exactly what's going on with the voice of the Christian Resistance. Unabashedly cutting through the rhetoric by exposing the hard topics facing our society and world.
A lot of the other news medias don't pick up the news items like he does. And bring into light the enemies of freedom who are out to steal your rights, your children, and enslaving you. You really get the truth out. I can tune into your show and hear the unvarnished truth.
Thank you. This is What's Right, What's Left with Pastor Ernie Sanders. Good evening and welcome to another edition of What's Right, What's Left.
The voice of the Christian Resistance on this ninth day of June, 2025. And tonight my co-host and my producer is none other than the Kenny Pihoski. Hey, Kenny. How you doing, Pastor?
Good evening. Doing okay. We have a lot to talk about.
You know, as we're talking right now, I'm watching. Now, the Marines have been called in and they're going after the Democrats. They're arresting Democrats left and right. Now, do you know what Mad Maxine Waters calls people that burn down buildings, that break windows, that set cars on fire, and hit cops with bricks. Do you know what she calls them?
I would say probably insurrectionists. No, she calls them peaceful protesters. Oh, okay.
Yeah, that makes sense. She says they're non-violent. Well, remember, she's a Democrat.
Yes. Democrats have to do things like that. Well, what we're watching, our country is actually right now at war. I mean, right now, we actually have the start of a civil war and we have to get behind Trump. You know, in the past, you know, the last four years, the government was anti-Christian against us people, against Christians. Today, our people are in office now and they're anti-crime. They're anti-communist. Basically, Democrats are communists. Communist are Democrats, okay? And they've got all of these thousands and thousands of illegal aliens. You've got rapists, you've got murderers, you've got child molesters, you've got the kind of people that they want in a Democratic Communist Party. You know, if it's a crime, if it's a sin, they embrace it. That's just what they are out there today. But I'm going to tell you, America better find the will to stand and fight. Now, you've probably heard of that fellow Gideon in the Bible?
Yeah. You know, in Gideon's day here, Gideon had an army. He had, well, a good-sized army, but it wasn't that big an army. Gideon had, oh, probably 30,000 little bit more men.
It's a good size. Nothing compared to what we've got now, but... Well, but you see, now this was to start with, to start with, and then he was up against the 135,000 Midianites, but that was too many. The 30,000, 135,000. So let's go into it, because God said at the beginning, reduce that army. I want you to send 22,000, those men who were fearful, who were afraid, you know, just, they were like the neo-evangelicals of today. Symbolism over substance, like a lot of people that when the going gets tough, they get out, they, you know, they cut and run.
They do more harm than good. Yeah, they don't stand, and they're not willing to stand and fight, and that's just the way a lot of them are today. And so, he sent 22,000 of them packing, said, they'll get you killed, get them out of here. And then, that left only 10,000. Gideon only had about 10,000 left to face 135,000 Midianites.
And so, what do you think happens here? Well, they had the power of God behind them, so. God reduces them down to 300 men. Let's read, let's go to, we're going to change scripture, we're going to be in Judges chapter 7 tonight. Then Jerubabal, who is actually Gideon, and all the people that were with him rose early, and they pitched beside the well of Herod, so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them by the hill of Moriah in the valley. And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel want themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
In other words, he's saying, well, I want Israel to realize that I'm fighting this battle for them, and if they were to do it on their own, they'd lose, okay? Now, therefore, go to proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from Mount Gilead. And there are returned of the people twenty and two thousand, and there remained only ten thousand. And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many, bring them down into the water, and I will try them for thee there, and you shall be that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee, and whosoever I say unto thee, Thou shalt not go with thee, the same shall not go. So he brought down the people into the water, and the Lord said unto Gideon, Everyone that lapeth of the water with his tongue as a dog lapeth, him shalt thou sit by himself, like was everyone that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapeth put in their hands to their mouth were three hundred men, but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
In other words, why do you think that was? Now remember you got ten thousand, right? And out of that ten thousand, nine thousand and seven hundred just about stuck their face in the water like a dog. But three hundred of them, they cupped their hands together, and they drank the water with their hands cupped together like that. Why do you think they did it that way?
Um, well, you get more water, it's cleaner, it's smarter. Well, when you got your face in the water, all you can see is the water, right? That's true. You can't see who's sneaking up on you? Nope. You couldn't see if a Democrat was sneaking up on you? You're only focused on one thing, and at that point that's not good when it's time of war.
But if you're, if you're reaching down, you're looking around, and your hand's cupped in the water and you're looking around, and you're pulling the water up, but it's not covering your face, right? Mm-hmm. Okay. Now you know why they did that. So, they didn't want the enemy to sneak up on them? Nope. And so here now, and the Lord said unto Gideon, By the 300 men that left will I save you and deliver the Midianites into thine hand, and let all the other people go, every man, unto his place. Now, just figure this out, right? Let's say I'm Gideon. Mm-hmm.
Okay. And I say to you, come on, we're going to go, there's only 300 of us, but we're going to go out and fight with 135,000 Midianites. What are you going to do? Trust in the Lord, and say let's go. And so they had to trust in the Lord, huh?
They have to at that point. I mean, the odds are against you, the numbers are against you, the only thing you've got in your favor right now is your perseverance and your faith. Well, if I ever do ask you to come with me and help me fight 135,000, say no. Why?
Okay. The Lord, you're right, because the Lord was in this, right? And so, I mean, normally, normally what would have happened if the Lord had not been into that, that 300 would have cut and run.
No, it would have been a massacre if they didn't. So, so the people took vittles in their hand and their trumpets, so they sent all the rest of Israel, every man, into his tent and retained those 300 men. And the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley, and he came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host, for I have delivered it into thine hand.
He's going to go down, he's going to overhear a conversation. But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phura thy servant down to the host, and thou shall hear what they say, and afterwards shall thy hands be straightened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phura, his servant, and to the outside of the armed men that were in the host. And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east laid along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude, and their camels were without number as the sand by the sea for multitude. And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and he said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of the Midian, and came into a tent and smote it that fell, and overturned it, and the tent lay alone. And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else, save the sword of Gideon, the son of Joash, a man of Israel, for unto his hand God hath delivered the Midianites and all the hosts. And it was so that when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped and returned unto the host of Israel, and said, Arise, for the Lord hath delivered unto your hand the host of Midian. And he divided the three hundred men unto three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand with empty pictures and lamps within the pictures, and he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise.
And behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that as I do, so shall you do. And when I blow the trumpet, and all that are with me, then blow you the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and the sword of the Lord, and say the sword of the Lord of Gideon. Now you know, the sword of the Lord of Gideon, you have... The sword of the Lord and of Gideon.
Yeah, and here, this is where you work with the motto of the Gideons, those with the Bible, the Gideon Bible. So Gideon and the hundred men that were with him came into the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch. And they had but newly set the watch, and they blew the trumpets, and they braked the pictures that were in their hands. And the three companies blew the trumpets and braked the pictures and beheld the lamps in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal. And they cried, and the sword of the Lord and of Gideon. And they stood every man in his place around about the camp, and all the hosts ran and cried and fled.
Now, let me ask you this, why do you think they did that? Maybe it made their numbers look greater than it was? You see, each man had a lantern. Now, in those days when they went out, they used to have one lantern per hundred men. And so you had three hundred lanterns there. And so, now here they look up and they're surrounded. They're surrounded.
They're on all sides of them. But when they broke, what was the sound? Why do you think they would take and they would break the pictures? Well, I think the pictures probably hid the lantern.
And when they broke it, it was kind of shown. Yeah, that's true, but it made a sound, the sound of the clanking of armor. Ah. And so, now picture this. You're down in the valley, and you look up on the mountain, and you look all around you, because you're in this valley, and you see these lights. You see all the lanterns, you hear the armor clinking. Right. And you're thinking, we're surrounded.
There's thousands and thousands of them out there, okay? And they got the high ground, and they ain't gonna stay there. They're coming towards us, aren't they? And the three companies blew the trumpets, and they break the pictures, and they held the lamps in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal. And they cried, the sword of the Lord of Gideon.
Now remember, too, that it was usually one trumpet for every hundred men. And so they stood, every man, in a place around the camp, and all the hosts ran and cried, and they fled. And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the hosts of the land.
See what happened here. Those on the north side ran south, and those on the south side ran north, and all the confusion, when they ran into each other, they fought. They were confused in the middle of the night.
They fought each other. And Zareth to the border of Abel-Maloha unto Tabith. And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites. And Gideon sent messengers throughout all of Mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Beth-barah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and they took the waters unto Beth-barah and Jordan.
And they took two princesses of the Midianites, Orib and Zeb, and they slew Orib upon the rock of Orib, and they slew at the winepress of Zeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Orib and Zeb to Gideon on the other side of the Jordan. And so we're going to stop right there. Now, we have to use, because we are, this country right now, could easily be into a major civil war. And so we've got to be prepared, just like we have to use intelligence like Gideon did, okay? But what's the most important thing for us to do right now as these things are happening in our country? Right. We need to call, petition God, huh?
Absolutely. And the first thing, you know, needs is we need repentance, the people. You know, the church has not been doing what the church should have been doing. It should have been courage. All along, there have been a dearth of courage, especially coming from the pulpits.
That's why you have 150 million dead babies in this country, because there was a dearth of courage, a dearth of courage coming from the church. And that's got to change, okay? We need to stand our ground, and we need to take America back. We've been going through some battles, and there's the media, the lying liberal lying media out there.
They're going to be putting out all kinds of false information. The Democrats are going to try to, they're going to scare the prissy preachers, so they're going to scare them to death. But somebody's got to get bold, somebody's got to get brave, somebody's got to take a stand.
And right now is when we have to, by God's grace, we have our guy in the White House, and so what we need to do is we've got to be behind him. Now, these corrupt courts, these corrupt judges that you have, just like, you know, here, you actually have, you know, you have the president of Mexico encouraging people to take America, to take California back. They're actually out there talking now about not just California, they want Texas, New Mexico, California, Nevada, and Colorado.
They want all of those. They want to bring that back as a part of Mexico. You think that wall was a good idea, huh?
Yeah, I think it was a very good idea. And so, yeah, they're actually encouraging. Now, remember, we've got a lot of hostility coming from the government of the north of us, and here now we have the hostility coming from the south of us, too.
And so, since we're surrounded by water on the east and the west, we're surrounded, aren't we? Pretty much. And so, this is the time for courage. People have to stand and focus, and there's a lot of people that just say, they put their hands over their ears and say, I just don't want to know about it. I just don't want to know about it. If I don't know anything about it, I won't have to take a stand. I won't have to stand my ground.
And I know some people like that, that are doing that. I don't want to hear about it. I don't want to hear anything about a civil war. Well, you know what?
We could be into a civil war any time. Our guests for tonight should be calling any time. Yeah, we have, Chip. Okay. All right. Let's go right to Walter Skip Claypool. Walter Skip Claypool, are you there? Yes. Okay.
I am here. Already. And listening with interest, interestingly, I used to travel down in Mexico, and that was a few decades ago, and it was funny because the Mexican guys down there said to me, it's time. We're going to take California back. Oh, yeah.
This is like stunning to me. Where we are, where we are. Yeah, it wasn't so stunning if you read in the fact that, you know, we played over the years, probably over the past 20 years or more, professors there from the universities in Mexico, and that's what they're teaching. They're teaching the people that Mexico will take California back and we'll take Texas back.
They've been doing that for years. In fact, in Texas, there were some towns for a while that were flying Mexican flags. And we're seeing in Los Angeles there, you've got all kinds of Mexican flags going up. Not just that, but you've got those of the red, green, and white. Palestinian.
Yeah, that's what I was trying to think of. Palestinians, they're carrying their flags. We're having quite a problem in this country. Hang tight, we're going to go to a, we've got a little quick clip and then we'll come right back to you. Go ahead. Breaking tonight, several major Supreme Court rulings and they cover reverse discrimination, a Mexican gun lawsuit, and Catholic charities. Fox News chief legal correspondent and anchor of Fox News Sunday, Shannon Bream, is here with us now with the latest on this. Good evening to you, Shannon.
And to you. You know, for everybody who thinks every decision out of the Supreme Court is this contentious 5-4 thing, I want you to take a look at what happened today, including a trio of unanimous decisions. First, a closely watched reverse discrimination case, a heterosexual woman who worked for the state of Ohio filed a discrimination claim after she says she was passed over for a promotion in favor of a lesbian applicants.
Then she got demoted and says her old job was given to a gay man. So she lost in the courts below under the theory that as a member of a so-called majority group, she needed to present more evidence than a plaintiff would if they were, for example, a racial minority or part of the LGBTQ plus community. Well, the court ruled for the plaintiff with Justice Jackson saying simply the law does not impose such a heightened standard on majority group plaintiffs. Next up, a win for U.S. gun makers. Mexico tried to launch this 10 billion dollar lawsuit against big names like Smith and Wesson, arguing that they have engaged in business practices that have led to cartel violence with the use of their firearms. But U.S. law shields gun makers from liability when third parties use their products illegally, with some exceptions. Today, the court unanimously dismissed the lawsuit, finding Mexico's complaint does not plausibly allege that the defendant manufacturers aided and abetted gun dealers unlawful sales of firearms to Mexican traffickers. Finally, a unanimous victory for Catholic charities in Wisconsin.
They sued after being denied tax benefits the state provided to other religious organizations, noting the First Amendment principle that the government must remain neutral with regard to different religions. The court held there may be hard cases and hard calls to make in policing that rule, but this is not one. So the next round of opinions come a week from today, and I show we are waiting 27 of them before the court is scheduled to wrap up its term the end of this month. It's a very busy time here in Washington. It's our Super Bowl.
Shannon, thank you. We'll see you on Fox News Sunday. See you then. All right, we're back, and we have Walter and Skip Claypool, former president of the Tea Party and also county commissioner. And so what is happening here? Take us to the local news here in Ohio. What are you up to, Skippers?
Well, some interesting things happening that folks should know about. I think I was talking to you, Pastor, about some of this. I'm engaged with ODOT, NAWACA. I don't know the last time I was on.
I think I was talking about NAWACA the last time I was on. But since that last time, I was put on the board by Ralph Spitaleri, county commissioner, and the board of NAWACA again. And so I've attended the first board meeting I attended. We had quite the interesting conversation. Since then, they put me on what they call the Equity Committee.
And they were having some fun with me. Well, it's interesting. President Trump did an executive order on DEI. And in that executive order, he banned equity and criminal justice, which was done by an executive order by a past president.
And social justice and anything having to do with making decisions based on race or race-based criteria. That's what equity is all about. And so I brought that up in the Equity Committee. I happen to have been in the minority in that Equity Committee, subcommittee for NAWACA.
And we had quite a conversation in that conversation, which I have filmed and actually I'm going to put it online on a website called NAWACA.info. And in that meeting, they admitted, the committee and the director of NAWACA admitted that the executive order existed. It has the force of law. And that they got a directive from the Department of Transportation that they should follow it. And that there's no court cases blocking their, changing their organization to meet the law. But in that meeting, they chose not to follow the law. That was their choice. The next day, I went to a Policy Committee meeting in which policies are set for NAWACA. And I made a motion to follow the law. That flummoxed them a little bit.
Same thing. They admitted that there was a law. They admitted that they're required to follow the law. They admitted, this is all on tape, this is all on recording. And they quickly tabled my motion to follow the law. And said they're not going to.
They're going to wait and see what happens. So I put that to ODOT in the state of Ohio. ODOT, Ohio Department of Transportation, is responsible for funding and certifying NAWACA, Northeastern Ohio Area Coordinating Agency. NAWACA, for the sake of those people who are listening that have never heard me talk about that before, is a metropolitan planning organization.
Metropolitan planning organizations were mandated by the federal government unconstitutionally in 1962. And in any case, I went to ODOT, who certifies them, and said the letter from the Department of Transportation says, anybody who is receiving federal funding should follow the law or they'll lose their funding. Well, NAWACA has not been defunded. They've not been decertified.
They're not following the law. And by the way, ODOT is now creating a new plan for Ohio. Everybody should be interested in this.
Go out and look up AO2050. It's an ODOT program filled with progressive nonsense. And I've got the data. I requested the data and discovered that it's all based on nonsense. It's, as you might expect, corrupt data, scared data.
Let me just jump in for a second. So the people out there who don't understand NAWACA's skip, NAWACA would be like Ohio's version of Agenda 2030. NAWACA is not a good organization. They're a very sinister organization.
And they're headed up by a bunch of bureaucrats, unelected officials for the most part. And their idea is to, you know, put us in this new world order, anti-American. There's anti-Americans you can get, aren't they? Well, they're not so anti-American as they just are.
And I don't know how to, I'm going to use this phrase because it will conjure an image for everybody. They don't understand. They're Marxist. They're all about equity.
Equity is a Marxist concept, this transfer of wealth concept. And they were established under federal law, required under federal law, to do roads and bridges, basically. But they were established to oversee high population centers. When you control a high population center, cities, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, so on and so forth, and you kind of control the region. So there's five counties in this MPO called NAWACA.
And so the big city controls the other four counties, basically, because they outvote all the other counties. So they get to control where everything, how everything works, and they exceeded their charter. They're supposed to do roads and bridges. They're well beyond roads and bridges now.
They want to get into development. They're deeply involved with the new Brown Stadium, moving the Brown Stadium. And if anybody understands what's happening in the Brown Stadium, that's going to turn into a real disaster. I was just talking to a taxi driver over, that goes over to the airport all the time, and the traffic over there is going to become unmanageable. It's just going to become a disaster for the airport, people trying to get to the airport, for people trying to get to the game. It's ridiculous.
And why do it? I mean, the stadium downtown seemed to work fine. We have games. We're going to spend a gazillion dollars putting in a new stadium for who?
To make who rich. So that's a bunch of nonsense. That's part of what NAWACA does.
They get involved in all this regional planning activity, which changes all of our lives. I don't know how many people, like me, try to go downtown every so often. And you can't drive down Euclid Avenue anymore.
With the bus lane on one side, the bicycle lane that's never used on the other side, and a car lane down the middle, you know, it's dangerous and you just stay off of Euclid because you don't know where to go with the bus lane signals and so on and so forth. But as I was saying, ODOT now is in violation of the same DEI executive order. So I asked the ODOT to explain that.
They won't explain that. So they work for the governor of our state, Mike DeWine. And so I've asked, what is the complaint process? Because we need to follow the law. I follow the law. Everybody else should follow the law, especially our government agencies. So I asked the governor's office, can I file a complaint against this agency that works for you?
I did. I've heard nothing back from the governor. So I don't think the governor cares whether ODOT is following the law.
ODOT is clearly not adhering to the DEI policies. It's embedded in this new plan they're creating, this AO 2050, which is all about changing how you, what you drive, where you drive. You know, they have a whole plan. They want to put more people on bicycles. That works great for us in the wintertime here. And I'm sure a lot of people want to drive their bicycle from Lake County up to Cleveland.
That's going to work well for a lot of people. So that's the kind of nonsense. And the real frustration they have is that these bureaucratic organizations can flout this law, which was created by our president, the president that was elected by a great majority and has a mandate, and they just choose to flout them.
And so that's a message to everybody. When you don't have agents, when you have agencies that are, that can willingly flout the law, then what do you do? And that's what we've come to in this country. We don't have people, even with a state that's controlled by Republicans and a Republican governor.
We have bureaucratic organizations that can simply skirt the law without penalty. And explain to the people what happens if they sit back in the laurels and let organizations like NAWACA, you know, again, this civil war breaks out. Don't think for a minute that we're not in real danger of a civil war in this country, but NAWACA, those organizations, are not going to be on the side of the American people, are they? Well, they're not today on the side of the American people.
They're on the side of a progressive elite that thinks they know better than everybody else. So when you go to NAWACA meetings, what you hear is, and the same thing with ODOT, our Department of Transportation, when you go to those meetings, what you hear is what their plan is for the future. There's a plan called the NEO 2050 plan. It's their long-range plan. Go look at it.
It's available. They don't hide it. And it talks about all the things they want. And it's changing how do we get to work, more walkable communities. They want to change our lives. They were established to do roads and bridges. Make sure we don't have potholes. Make sure our bridges don't fall apart.
Make sure our roads don't fall apart. But that's not what they're doing. They're taking power. They've taken power that doesn't belong to them.
And they're implementing that power in ways that are going to change our lives dramatically if we let them get away with it. Right now, very few people are pushing back. And that's their problem. The vast majority of people by design don't really know about it.
The vast majority of people are totally, you know, when it comes to this, you know, they're in La La Land. They're very oblivious. They don't really know.
I mean, this is why we're here, to let people know. Here in Nahuatl's long-range plan, they do that like the Chinese, like the Communists. They plan, you know, years and years and years in advance.
And I've read their plans. They want to expand all the big cities. They want to expand the amount ten miles out around all of them. They want to move everybody from the countryside into the cities. In the immediate time, they want to end all single dwelling homes. No more single dwelling homes. You know, no more five-acre lots. You know, out there in the counties where you and I live, you know, there's a minimum of five-acre lots. And you have single family homes, single dwellings. No, they don't want that.
You have to have multiple, at least four apartments per house. And so, and again, they want to actually limit, like you said, the travel. You know, they want everything within the city. They want to have apartment buildings that are 33 stories high.
This is what, you know, their plans are. And move everybody into these huge, huge, huge, huge apartment complexes where you literally have, like, malls within the apartment complexes. And people are told to stay there.
You don't need to travel. Everything's right here. The countryside will be there for the elite. So let me run something by your listeners, Pastor Sanders. I'm looking at there's a strategic plan that they created.
And I'm going to underline and I'm going to keep coming back to this so everybody understands. MPOs were created to take care of roads and bridges, our infrastructure, at a federal level. At a federal level.
I'm going to say that one more time, just to stress it. At a federal level. Federal roads, federal highways, not our local roads and highways. The NAWACA will tell you in their strategic plan that they're all about infrastructure.
But they talk about it as though it's holistic. They take care of all the infrastructure. And most of the state, most all of the state, I can't think of any that would be an exception to this.
I use the Chesterton as an example. We pay for all of our own roads in Chesterton, Ohio. That's where I live. We do that through levees. All of the state roads are taken care of by the 38 cents a gallon gas tax that we pay to the state. Our federal roads, our inner states, are taken care of by the 18.5 cents a gallon. All of our infrastructure is paid for either locally or it's paid for by a specific tax that we're given to take care of a certain set of infrastructure. Our state roads are taken to state bridges, roads, that infrastructure is taken care of by the 38 cents a gallon we pay for our gas tax. And all the federal roads, our inner states, and federalized highways, highways that are deemed federal or feeder routes to the inner states, like 306 or 422 or 322.
Those roads are partially funded by the state, partially funded by federal government. That's all that NAWACA is supposed to fund. Here's what it says in their strategic plan. Their plan is to create regional cohesion, preserve infrastructure across the region, do multimodal transportation, different kinds of transportation, create a sustainable environment. Who the hell gave them a charter to do environment?
To do economic development and to improve the quality of your life. That's not what they're chartered to do, but that's what they chose to do. They came together with all the other MPOs, so there's four other MPOs in our area, and Eastgate, AMAT, SCAT, and NAWACA. And those MPOs, without authority, came together and decided they're going to change, they're going to design our lives for us in northeastern Ohio. And that's in their plan. They lied because they don't have the authority, they don't have the charter to do any of that. They just took the power because they have elected officials like Chris Ronane, who is the county executive in Cuyahoga County, and all these other elites that sit on this board and say, we want this. Hang the people. Right now, the people want to remove property tax. I think you know about that.
Oh, absolutely. And the elected officials are pushing them back on that. So if you're listening, and you live in Ohio, if you live anyplace else, you can get this started. But in Ohio, we've got a movement to eliminate property tax. Property tax is the most corrupt, most misused tax that there is available as an option to fund things. And so, there's a group of us who have started a movement, and it's taking root, taking off, to eliminate property tax. That's what the people want. We're supposed to be a government of the people, by the people, for the people. But if you talk to the state legislators and other elected officials, oh my God, you know, you people are stupid.
You can't do that. What are we going to do to fund things? Well, guess what? Maybe we won't. Maybe the people will decide we don't want that, whatever that is. But we want services. We want police. We want a fire department. We want townships. We want roads.
And so, we'll fund it. We just shouldn't do it through a property tax, which oftentimes puts people out of their home. You don't pay your property tax. You lose the home. You worked all your life to pay off. And you've got to pay a rent called property tax, not a living.
It's a horrible taxing method that puts seniors out on the street because the state decides to do a 30% across the boarding value increase on your home. And now you can't afford to pay the tax anymore. That shouldn't be that way.
But that's an aside. That's government. Government, unless people control it. You know, there's an old saying, I think it was Thomas Jefferson that said this, when people fear the government, that's tyranny. When the government fears people, that's freedom, liberty.
And that's absolutely true. The problem is government's got over its keys. And you have all these government organizations like NAWACA and ODOT and our current governor that don't really care about people.
And they don't care that they're not following the law. And we've got to set that right. And so I filed some claims with the governor.
What's that? They're the ones that's pushing back against Doge, pushing back against everything that President Trump's trying to do. When he's trying to cut the size of this huge, huge beast with an insatiable appetite called the federal government. The swamp is filled with swamp animals. Yep. And the minute you try to drain that swamp, they come out. There is so much waste in government, it is unbelievable. You're not kidding.
But the minute you start touching somebody's, you know, you start going after it, then you gore somebody's socks, right? You take the money out of somebody's pocket, even though it's waste and they don't like it. It's not just the waste, it's the corruption combined. Every time that USAD, where they would get one of these things to fund, there was always kickbacks.
Always a kickback. People aren't going to fund this and these organizations can't get them by themselves. So, there's got to be somebody on the inside who's willing to do it, to waste virtually, in Beelzebub, taxpayers' money and they all get a big kickback for doing it. Money is a big part of it. Power is another part of it. I mean, power is addicting. You know, what is the old saying about power? Well, they talk about, you know, absolute power corrupts absolutely, but that's only half true because there's only one absolute power, only one, and that's God.
And He's not corrupt, but for the most part, it is true. And so, now here, we have to really be on the lookout. We're going to have a long, hot summer, aren't we? Oh, it is.
In Chardon, I just got an email from somebody. There's going to be a protest on Saturday upholding democracy. I love it because America is not a democracy, it's a republic. And yet, you have all these democrats who, by the way, don't know the truth from anything. You know, they lie, they cheat. It's beyond me. It's not the democratic party I grew up with. My dad was a democrat when I was growing up. That's gone.
It's been gone for a long time. That is not, you know, they loved America. Democrats of that day, they were responsible, fiscally responsible people. They just were looking out for the little guy, so to speak.
But that's gone. Democrats don't care about the little guy. They keep the little guy down.
They keep minorities down. And the welfare program is all about keeping people in their box, and now not allowing people to get out of their conditions. They've gone completely communist.
It's about the cliff. Yeah, they've gone completely communist. It's about spreading the wealth. So there was a conversation I was having on the equity committee in Noaka, and one of the people in there said, oh, there's been a great underinvestment in our community, so we deserve to have more money.
Well, I'm sorry. Who said that any other communities had to invest in your community? It's not our job to take care of your community.
Stand on your own feet and don't depend on a welfare system to take care of your community. They didn't like it that I said, look, if you've got bad engineers, you've got a bad mayor, you've got bad city councilmen, and then they're wasting money, and they're not putting money in the right places, and so you guys are going in the wrong direction, you need to replace your mayor. You need to replace your city councilmen.
You need to replace your county engineer. Because it's all about the quality of the people you're electing who are running things. And unfortunately, we elect some really bad people. Even the Republicans do. I mean, I don't care which party you're in. Democrats, Republicans, both parties have good people and bad people.
And unfortunately, there's a bunch of bad people that are screwing things over. There are Republicans that sit on the NAWACA board, and they don't step up and do the jobs. They have no guts whatsoever. They won't stand up and defend their constituents. They just are looking out for the money. It's all about the money for them.
And they're not going to get any money anyway, because NAWACA's not going to give it to them. You know, going back before even Trump ran against Hillary, we were telling people back then that these Democrats were registering and running as Republicans. They figured out they weren't going to get elected as Democrats, because that's when the reputation of the Democrats started going down. They called it their brand. It started to become very tarnished.
Well, it's really tarnished today. But we were warning people on this radio program, you know, you better vet these people. And I warned about a number of them, and you know, a number of them in your own county that were Democrats that ran as Republicans. And they actually sent letters out to all the Democrats saying, you know, vote for so-and-so, even though they're running as Republicans because they're really Democrats.
And that's what they've been doing. That's where we get all of our rhinos, when you talk about that. And that's what kills us so many times, are the rhinos out there, and you know, Trump's big beautiful bill, you know, it's in danger of the rhinos, isn't it?
Yes. Well, you know, that's a complicated one, because we have set ourselves up, unfortunately, we the people screwed up with Trump, we got him in there, and we gave him a slight majority, and we've given him a good majority in both the House and the Senate, we wouldn't be where we are. They would have passed good budgets and laws, and we wouldn't be in the fiscal disaster we're in. Unfortunately, because of the way that the system works internally, they have to do what they call a reconciliation bill, which doesn't give them the ability to cut as much as they would like to cut. We should be cutting the dickens out of the debt.
It's tough, because, you know, everybody has their piece. And so they're trying to create all these compromises. But, you know, it's, there are people that are that feel that the debt is so dangerous, that we have to cut more, and we should, because there is so much waste in the system, the Department of Transportation should not exist, but should notice that it still exists.
Why? Because the Dems and the progressives, both on the Republican and Democratic side, set up a system where it's so hard to shut down these organizations that don't work. They take a lot of money and they don't work.
Department of Education is one of those, and the Education Department is one of those. EPA could be trimmed way back without any detriment to our environment. There's just so much waste. Well, they are doing some of that. You know, Kennedy with the Department of Health is going, he's been doing some pretty good work.
And, you know, and it looks like, too, they are making some major, major, major cuts in the EPA. We're coming up to a break here in a minute. I know you have an early morning, but you're welcome to stay around with us, because we're going to be playing a clip here of a friend of both of yours and mine, Tom Z, here in a minute. It's what we've been talking about here for a while. And if you'd like to stay with us, it's about what's happening here, what's ahead of us.
We've been warning people that this is going to be a very hot summer, so if you want to stay with us, stay with us. We're at a short break, or if you have to go, we understand. I know you've got a seven o'clock meeting. Yeah, I've got a real early meeting, and I've had a real long day. Tonight I'm going to bow out.
Normally I would probably stick it out. Have a good night. I appreciate the opportunity, and if people want to help, they can call the governor and ask the governor's office to reply to my complaint about ODOT. Alrighty, very good. God bless. Thank you. Alrighty, we'll be back right after this. Thank you so much. We'll be right back.
