Jesus talked about money more than just about anything else, and financial stewardship is a key aspect of honoring God with our resources. By managing our finances with biblical principles, we can make a kingdom impact and be good stewards of what God has entrusted us with.

The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network. Yes, it is.

Yes, it is. When we formed the company, I wanted to make sure we dedicated to God and help our clients be good stewards of their resources that they've been blessed with. It is funny though, if somebody walks in or calls our office asking to speak for Mr. or Mrs. Steward, we probably know that they're trying to sell us something.

But yes, yes, the Lord has blessed us and we want to be good stewards of the relationships that he puts in front of us. You know, you get into people's money. That's what, you know, what do they say? You know, preacher starts preaching about money.

Everyone, you know, their eyes gloss over like, oh, no, here we go again. But this is such an important, I mean, Jesus talked about money more than just about anything else, didn't he? Yes, he did. Yeah, he talked about money.

He talked about fear. You know, whether people want to recognize it or not, almost everybody thinks about money and almost everybody has to deal with a paycheck. And if you want to get people's attention, make them think about money. And, you know, money is a great way to help people, but it's also a great way to witness to people and show them the good and the kingdom of impact they can have with those financial resources.

Yeah. You know, I've talked about how with your clients and other people, you're trying to use money as a way to share the gospel because that's really everything we do, whether it's basketball, which I love, even radio media is a platform. We're in this really cool place in Raleigh, Chewy's restaurant with Mark Reed. You've been one of our awesome Christian radio partners. And the more I've learned about what y'all do, the more I'm like, hey, we've got to tell everyone about this. But, you know, you were at a Christian university recently talking to students about these things. What is the, what would you say the biggest thing Christians are missing when it comes to managing, stewarding their wealth? I think that I think one of the top things is the definition of steward.

You know, steward really means you're a manager. And that's what we really have to realize with our finances is, look, God's blessing us so that we can be a blessing. And if we ultimately believe that the Lord has blessed us with these resources that he's entrusted us, it's not our money. And it's a whole lot easier to manage money for somebody else when we realize, hey, this is God's money versus our own.

And, you know, it's sort of our strategies. You know, we want to help people with their financial plans. We want to talk to them about their financial goals. But we want to use financial planning as a way really to help people understand that they can make a family or generational impact, a community impact and really a kingdom impact. And, you know, we know people want to be generous, but a lot of people just don't know they can or they're concerned.

And financial planning can really help that. You think about all these missionaries, all these great ministries out there, and there's plenty of wealth even in the body of Christ to support them. But they don't need to have to be out begging if we would just be a little more generous, if we would just say, wait, wait a second, this ain't mine. This is the Lord's to begin with, right?

Yeah, that's exactly right. You know, whether it's our given while we're living or, you know, think about our legacy and the resources that we're going to pass on. How can we incorporate and make kingdom impact with those resources? And, you know, we can all we all make choices and we make choices on how we spend our money or where money goes. And sometimes it can be frivolous.

Sometimes it can be fun. But if we're just intentionally trying to incorporate, how do we honor God with these resources? We can make a huge impact.

Okay, that's the voice of Brant Spessart. He's got this awesome ministry business. You know, I say ministry, but really everything's ministry if you think about it. Steward Wealth Strategies. I love this little kind of slogan statement up here. Mission statement, so to speak. We are a faith based wealth management firm dedicated to helping our clients get the most life and purpose out of their wealth. And I'm looking at your portfolio of services. Wow, Brant, I didn't know you guys did all this stuff, man.

Now I got more questions. But, you know, retirement, goal planning, investment planning, tax planning, protection planning, estate planning, generosity planning. There's just a whole full orbed approach, I guess, in there. And there's so many ways we can be good stewards that we could if we can save a little bit on our taxes in an honest way. We're not talking about cheating anything. Well, that means we can give more money to the Lord's work and to ministry. Right.

Or to Christian college or something. Amen. Yeah.

If we can save more and be wise with our spending, we can put ourselves a position to give more and make a bigger impact. Yeah. It's all about intentionality and being a good steward. I love it. What's your final takeaway as they've just brought out these amazing bowls?

This food looks unreal. Brant, what's your final takeaway, your challenge for folks out there in terms of finding someone like you and really stewarding and maximizing? We only have so much time on this earth. And yet we have these clenched fists of what God's given us. What's your word out there about generosity and giving and being a blessing as we come close to the Thanksgiving holiday here soon in America? Yeah, I think, you know, one, we have to have an attitude of gratitude. You know, what do we have to be grateful for? Actually take some time to think about all the good because it's too easy to focus on the negative. And then I really think, you know, when it comes to financial planning, focus on what you and your family are trying to accomplish. And, you know, if you think about the the words after the parable of talent, well done, good and faithful servant, you know, what would help you hear those words? Well done.

And where's God calling you? And, you know, incorporate that in your financial plan. Just know there's a lot more to, you know, your finance plan than just investments and saving for retirement. All these areas collective, you know, working together can truly make a difference.

And how can we honor God with that difference? And it's it's a lot of fun. Finance planning can be a lot of fun if we let it. I love it. Well, we got the country western music going above us.

We got this delicious Tex-Mex food sitting in front of us. Then I got my buddy Brad giving us some really good wealth strategies. And you are a charter member of Dave Ramsey's investing council. He's helped a lot of people. That guy has get out of debt, but also going beyond just not savings or getting out of debt. How to invest, how to pay it forward. Paying it forward is huge, isn't it? Yeah, that's exactly right.

Yeah. Ramsey's approach with the baby steps and keeping financial planning simple. I mean, that's life changing. He's helped millions of people out there.

Just like Kingdom Advisors has helped change a lot of people's lives without they steward their resources. There's a lot of great resources out there. Just don't go it alone.

Try to find someone that's going to line value wise and that's really gonna look out for your best interest. Thank you. We're thanking God that he gave you this gift to help a lot of people in your firm is growing in folks want to reach you guys. Is there like a Web site you can send them to for more information and get to know you a little better in your team?

Yeah. Www dot steward that steward like stewardship dash wealth dot com. That's the easiest way to find us. And thank you for your ministry and your efforts and get the word out there as well. You know, I appreciate that. And why didn't my parents name me steward instead of steward?

You know, they missed the boat there. I mean, I could have had a thoroughly biblical name, but I do want to give a shout out. You all had me come do a devotion at your company a couple months ago.

Mark was there to our Raleigh lieutenant. And we had a great time sharing. What a great group just talking about principles. And we had a great time of prayer. But thank you for doing that. Thank you for engendering kingdom principles in your workplace with your team, but also with your clients. Because you guys, we are all here to be a light for Christ and spread the light and spread the generosity while we still have time, right? Absolutely.

Absolutely. And I think sharing this message, iron sharpens our encourage other believers that, hey, you can have a business where you can serve people. But also be a life for God at the same time.
