Grainger, for the ones who get it done. live from the liberty university studio in memphis tennessee it's america's favorite gun toting bible clinging deplorable america that's us that's right i love this american Todd Starnes.
Well, hello everybody and welcome to the Todd Starnes radio program. We are honored to be your voice of hope and truth across this great nation we call America. Wow.
So it's going to be a busy show today. As you and I are talking, we are watching President Trump convene his first cabinet meeting. and we're going to dip into that periodically. I think it's very interesting that President Trump had Elon Musk speak before any of the cabinet secretaries.
So we're going to get to that in just a moment. But I wanted to share something with all of our listeners. We have a lot of radio stations around the country that carry this program live noon to three Eastern, and we love that. And we also love our stations that carry us delay.
So they carry the show a little bit later on in the daytime. And we've noticed that a lot of you folks, for example, in Houston and Wichita and St. Louis, that the phones will light up when the team has already gone home because our office hours are expired by then.
So here's what we want you to do because we want to include those voices in our daily show. and one of the ways we've been able to do that is through our app.
So if you go to toddstearns.com and click on our app, you'll be able to download the app. It's free of charge. It'll take like 30, I don't know, 30 seconds. And there's a function on that app called Shout Back or Shout Out. And you can actually leave a recorded message for us and we play those back during the show.
You can actually do it during the live show. Many of you are at lunch and maybe you can't take the time to call and wait to get on the show, so you can just send us an immediate message. And you can do that free of charge by going to the app over at ToddStearns.com. And so anyway, just wanted to get that out of the way. We love it when our listeners call in and join the conversation.
When I launched this show, what, eight years ago now, that was one of the big things I wanted to do because a lot of times you've got folks bloviating, and I want to hear from America. I want to hear what you are thinking about the issues of the day.
Now, you can also give us a call during the new to three-hour Eastern, and the lovely Ms. Cassie will be more than happy to take your phone call, our telephone number, and write this down, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. You know what I find fascinating about today's cabinet meeting? it just convened a little while ago and i find it fascinating that president trump's very first cabinet meeting opened with a word of prayer the it was really a moving prayer and and we'll try to grab that audio uh scott turner who is the secretary of housing and urban development was asked to lead the prayer and he is a he's a good old southern baptist fellow he is a member at Prestonwood Baptist Church, our good friend Jack Graham.
He's been on the program many times before, and the secretary is leading the entire cabinet, standing behind President Trump just to the side of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and very near Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
So it's really a beautiful moment as we watch the president bathe this meeting, this first gathering of the cabinet in prayer. Because, ladies and gentlemen, I really do believe that this is a divine moment in American history. I believe that Donald Trump is God's man. Does that mean that Donald Trump is perfect? Absolutely not.
None of us are. But I believe that Donald Trump is the man selected by God to lead our nation out of the throes of chaos, out of the throes of communism and socialism. And I just believe that with all of my heart. I haven't had some sort of a prophetic thing or I haven't had a vision. I just feel that in my heart.
And when you look at how things have transpired over these years, it's very clear to me that this is a God-ordained moment in American history. And I don't care if you're a Methodist or a Presbyterian. I don't care if you're a Baptist or if you're Jewish. I believe that there is a divine work at play here. There's really no other explanation for what's going on in the country now.
And isn't it a beautiful thing? I truly believe this is that Donald Trump has assembled the most incredible, the most powerful, the most intelligent cabinet in all of American history. And when you look around the table, we're talking about pretty young individuals. This is not an old folks cabinet. We're dealing with men and women who are in their late 30s, 40s, their 50s, and it is really a glorious thing.
I think we've got the, let's listen to the prayer that was just delivered there in the White House. Thank you very much. Thank you, Mr. President. Let's pray.
Father, we thank you for this awesome privilege, Father, to be in your presence. God, thank you that you've allowed us to see this day. The Bible says that your mercies are new every morning. And, Father God, we give you the glory and the honor. Thank you, God, for President Trump, Father, for appointing us.
Father God, thank you for anointing us to do this job. Father, we pray you will give the president, the vice president, wisdom. Father God, as they lead. Father, I pray for all of my colleagues that are here around the table and in this room. Lord God we pray that we would lead with a righteous clarity Father God that as we serve the people of this country in every prospective agency every job that we have Father we would humble ourselves before you and we would lead in a manner that you've called us to lead and to serve Father the Bible says the blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord Father we today honor you and in your rightful place Father thank you for giving us this opportunity to restore faith in this country and be a blessing to the people of America.
And, Lord God, today in our meeting, we pray that you will be glorified in our conversation. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Wow, ready to take up an offering after that. You didn't have that happen in the last administration.
You certainly didn't have it happen during the Barack Hussein Obama years. I mean, maybe an imam would show up, but I'm telling you, this is an administration. And President Trump may not be a theologian, but he is a man who believes in God and he is a man who understands that God did something to him. You know, going back, I was doing some research for a new project I'm working on, and I was going back and looking at Ronald Reagan after Reagan's assassination attempt when John Hinckley shot Reagan outside of the hotel there in Washington, D.C. And it was fascinating because Reagan's whole viewpoint, Reagan was a religious man, but Reagan, I think after he survived the assassination attempt, he became a changed man.
And he understood that God saved his life for a reason. And that really was what motivated Ronald Reagan every single day, that Reagan got up after that assassination attempt. That was going through his mind, that God spared his life for a reason. And I see the same sort of thing in Donald Trump's life right now, where he is a changed man. I mean, he's still Donald Trump, but there's a bit of gravitas there.
When he understands not one, but two assassination attempts, he survived by God's incredible grace. 901-260-5926. We're going to be following the cabinet meeting. any news breaks out we'll let you know 901-260-5926 in the meantime uh yesterday president trump signed more executive orders and and i love this about the president he he is very comfortable just taking all these questions from the white house reporters and he is really the most transparent president i have seen in modern american political history i mean it really is remarkable the kinds of questions he will take and he just answers he doesn't show up with a huge binder right full of notes he is very knowledgeable about all of the subjects at hand but anyway there is this one moment and i want to play this for you uh president trump was uh taking a question from one of the fake news reporters uh take a listen to what happened what do you say to people who worry that targeting an individual firm or individuals who you know aren't jack snib i've been targeted for four years longer than that so you don't tell me about targeting i was the target of corrupt politicians for four years and then four years after that uh so don't talk to me about targeting yeah good for you mr president what they did to this man it is reprehensible and somebody ought to be held accountable for that. And so what the White House is doing is that they are explaining to the White House Correspondents Association who's actually in charge here.
So for decades, and this goes all the way back to, and if you want to blame somebody for this, you've got to blame Richard Milhouse Nixon because for the longest time the White House press corps did not have a specific place to be in the White House. When the president needed to say something, they gathered the press together, they showed up at the White House, and they had their little press gathering. But up until Richard Nixon took office, until then, that White House press briefing room was actually a swimming pool. And so they built the press corps offices over the old swimming pool.
so there's not some sort of a constitutional mandate that the taxpayers have to provide office space for all of these far-left news organizations and so then you have this group called the white house correspondence association and these people are just as far left and as woke as the day is long it's the npr crowd the public welfare broadcasting crowd the new york slimes all of them. The Washington Compost, they're all there, and they're running the show. They get to determine who gets a seat in the White House and who doesn't. And so Donald Trump comes in with the wonderful, powerful White House press secretary, Caroline Lovett, a member of the Justice League, and she's saying, hey, look, those days are over. You don't get to decide who covers the Trump administration.
We get to decide that.
Now, are they banning people? No, not at all. But if you are a news organization, say the Associated Press, and you're going to get out there and you're not going to recognize the right that President Trump has to rename the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of America, then you are not a legitimate news service. You are a political operation. And it's not like they were kicked out of the White House.
They were just kicked out of the Oval Office.
So now Fox News has joined in with the far lefties on this.
Now, Jackie Henry, who is the, or Heinrich, who's the White House correspondent, took aim at President Trump and was enraged. She says the White House Correspondents Association has the right to decide that, not Caroline Leavitt or Donald Trump.
Now, I am telling you right now, folks, and just prepare yourself. Don't be surprised if the conservative cable channels start turning on the Trump administration. All right? And you want to know why? Because they're getting all sorts of grift the same as everybody else.
The same as everybody else. And Trump is coming in. He's blowing it all up.
so anyway um caroline levitt now says that they're going to be rotating traditional media outlets within the press pool and they're also going to be bringing in other media organizations and i'll give you a great example not that we're doing this but we've got a couple of million people a month that read my my page uh toddstarns.com we do good journalist journalism there no doubt about it We've been honored and awarded for that. Why should we be excluded from those who cover the White House? I mean, we've got 2 million readers. That's more than, by the way, Joyless Reed was only bringing in 700,000 viewers on her TV show. NBC has a spot there.
So why shouldn't we? And that was the whole point of this. The White House is saying, why are you guys, White House press, and this is the hypocrisy of it all. you've got the White House Correspondents Association and for decades they have been intentionally banning conservative journalists from covering the White House when the shoes on the other foot well you know what it doesn't feel so good so anyway I say good for the White House I still think we ought to shut down the entire press operation make those people work outside you know what build them a little shed but I want to know why my tax dollars are being used to give these people who are far leftist giving these people space to work inside the White House. 901-260-5926, our telephone numbers, that's 901-260-5926.
Coming up, we are expecting a lot of people being fired today from the federal government. We'll look into that. Congresswoman Erin Hohen is going to drop by from the great state of Indiana. And also, we've got our friend Justin Hightower, who is director of sales at Priority Gold. And coming up a little bit later, I'm very excited about this conversation we're going to have with William Forshen, who is a New York Times bestselling author, and he is an expert on EMP attacks.
And there are some new studies out showing that the United States, we're not ready. We are not ready.
So that's going to be a powerful conversation coming up later on the program. Got to take a break. So welcome aboard.
Next week, we're adding two more radio stations to the lineup, and we'll tell you about those folks as well. All right. Just a few moments ago, we heard from Elon Musk. He was the first person to speak. Let's take a listen.
Cut 12. And the doge is very important, and Elon is here to give you a summary of what's happening, some of the things they found, some of the horrible things they found, Some of the theft and fraud, and we call it waste and abuse, but a lot of fraud, and probably some fraud that we're not going to be able to prove is fraud, but when you hear the names and the places where this money's going, it's a disgrace. But we've requested that a lot of people, we want to make sure that the people are working.
So letters were sent out, and I think everyone at this table is very much behind it. And if they are, I'd want them to speak up, but they're very much behind it. Letters were sent out to people just to find out if the people exist. Do they work? Who do they work for?
Where are they? Where have they been working? Have they been working for other companies or other entities at all? Being paid by the government, so they have two jobs, but they're supposed to have one. And the letter asks some simple questions like, what have you done lately?
and if they can answer that because i can i can tell you everything i've done for the last long period of time and there you go a president trump just away and and the president has a great point and they're honestly every business owner in america ought to do this to their employees and just ask a very simple question list i want you to list five things you've accomplished this week and if your employees cannot do that maybe you don't need to have those employees on the payroll and that's the whole point of what trump is is trying to do here do you have a problem with the five bullet points 901-260-5926 that's 901-260-5926 folks i gotta tell you um eggs it's still they're still a little pricey out there and it's going to take some time for those to come down we explained that earlier this week on the show uh the reality is it's a mess the economy's a mess and it's going to take some time for Trump to work all this out. And then, again, the trickle down, the egg prices will come down. What I'm saying is that you need to start taking actions now to protect your savings, to protect your retirement fund. And if it's all in a 401k, you've got big problems. Your retirement plan is in jeopardy.
That's just the cold, hard facts.
So the good news is you can do something about it, And that's why my friends at Priority Gold are big, big fans of the Todd Stearns program. Or go to PriorityGold.com to get your free gold guide today. all right welcome back everybody good to have you with us so jake tamper over at cnn man this guy is such a loser uh jake tamper has a new book coming out and i'm going to tell you about that book in just a moment for years legacy media has turned a blind eye to biden's cognitive decline It's just inexcusable. But for years, they have excused every time Biden would tumble while walking up the stairs on Air Force One, when he stumbled to the ground during that commencement exercise. Every time he was seen sniffing children, oogling women, talking to dead people, and they just laughed it all off. Every time he mumbled all of the gibberish, that lost look in his eyes.
I mean, it was insane. You could tell the porch light was on, but nobody was home. And the legacy media, they gave this guy cover every single time. As a matter of fact, they went beyond just that. They're like, oh, that's just old Uncle Joe.
You know how it is. He's good days, bad days. He's just getting old. That's old Uncle Joe. just keep the kids away so that's what they did and and you know what it would it's not okay but that would have been all right well i could accept that coming from the leftist but they went a step further they turned around and they publicly shamed anybody tried to destroy anybody who actually pointed out that hey this guy's got dementia this guy doesn't even realize he's president of the United States.
He thinks he's president of the local homeowners association. But anytime somebody said, you know, you know, we don't mean to be disrespectful here, but maybe it's time to ship the ship the man off to the old folks home. Maybe I'll be happy sitting there for the rest of his days eating the cottage cheese. And no, every single time They would attack you. As a matter of fact, here's CNN's Jake Tamper ridiculing Laura Trump for pointing out Biden's cognitive decline.
How do you think it makes little kids with stutters feel when they see you make a comment like that? First and foremost, I had no idea that Joe Biden ever suffered from a stutter. I think what we see on stage with Joe Biden, Jake, is very clearly a cognitive decline. That's what I'm referring to. It makes me uncomfortable to watch somebody on stage search for questions and try and figure out an answer.
A cognitive decline. But when you're trying to tell me that what I was suggesting was a stuttering, I had no idea, Joe Biden. I think you were mocking his stutter, and I think you have absolutely no standing to diagnose somebody's cognitive decline. I would think that somebody in the Trump family would be more sensitive to people who do not have medical licenses diagnosing politicians from afar. Plenty of people have diagnosed your father from afar, and I'm sure it offends you, your father-in-law from afar.
I'm sure it offends you. You don't have any standing to say. I'm not diagnosing him. What I'm saying, Jake, is that we can clearly see.
So there you have it. jake tamper saying that there was no cognitive decline and now jake tamper the same jack jake tamper is publishing a book about the cover-up of the cognitive decline of joe biden and he's authoring this book with axios correspondent alex thompson who is actually out there defending joe Biden's gibberish and calling it just quirky language. Quirky language. The title of the book, Original Sin, President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again. It'll be out May 20th.
Penguin Press is the publisher. Here's what they say. This is ridiculous. What you will learn makes President Biden's decision to run for re-election seem shockingly narcissistic self-delusional and reckless a desperate bet that went bust and part of a larger act of extended public deception that has few precedents penguin goes on to say that biden his family and his senior aides were so convinced that only he could beat trump again they lied to themselves allies and the public about his condition and limitations okay well let's just step back for just one moment here everybody saw it everybody the only people that were lying to you were the people on cnn and jake tamper especially so anyway uh conservatives having a field day with all of this but i am telling you right here and right now ladies and gentlemen everybody's running for cover everybody's trying to save their hides oh by the way new york city mayor eric adams i i know that maggot anytime anybody says anything nice about donald trump and they're like from the democrat side of the aisle we we start to worship them like they're just deity that i mean i don't know why we do that um we're very careful in this program we do not platform people that overnight become trump supporters i want to see I want to see some fruit. I want to see some proof that they are who they say they are.
Because, folks, there are a lot of grifters in the America First movement.
So I am very, very hesitant. I never jumped on board. What was the guy's name? Kanye West. But he's got a new name.
What's it? Yee, Yap, Yap, Yee, Yee, Yee.
Okay, I think it's Yee. Oh, Yee, Yee.
Okay, I got it. Anyway, I never bought in any of that mess. And you had all these evangelical, oh, isn't it so beautiful? Kanye, he got baptized. He's like the next Billy Graham.
Well, Billy Graham didn't parade around his sweet wife, Ruth, in chains and buck naked at Hollywood award ceremonies. Just want to point that out. But he's such an influencer. It doesn't matter. It does not matter.
I want to see the evidence. And the same goes for Eric Adams. This guy is a nut job, and he's only bowing down to Trump to save his own hide, and I don't think that's going to work. But anyway, Mayor Adams telling a crowd that, well, he's comparing himself to Jesus Christ on the cross. Take a listen.
This is a biblical moment. And, you know, when Jesus was on the cross, he said, God, forgive them for they know not what they do. All these Negroes were asking me to step down. God, forgive them. Are you are you stupid?
I'm running my race right now. All right, that happened during a Black History Month celebration at Gracie Mansion, and clearly there were some in the crowd who did not appreciate the reference to Jesus Christ. Not everybody applauded, but a lot of people did. And so now Eric Adams is suggesting that the persecution he is facing is because he is somehow Black Jesus. oh okay i'm not sure that's going to keep you out of prison but good luck with that sir unbelievable 901-260-5926 is our telephone number that's 901-260-5926 coming up tonight five o eastern on newsmax the todd stern show we have a jam show for you unbelievable lineup uh congressman tom tiffany uh is kicking things off i think we have like three or four congresspeople on it It jam And I want you to watch You can do that by going to Newsmax.com.

Well, there is a very interesting story on the libs of TikTok. And Dieter, this cannot be real. I know you sent this to me. I just cannot believe this is actually a real story. Westchester University.
Oh, this is back. These are your people. This is Pennsylvania. We don't claim them. They are not ours.
Really? No. Is that like a thing? Is that where? It's just a very, very woke liberal institution.
Wow.
So West Chester University, I've never heard of this. They have handed out a heterosexual questionnaire to the students, and they've been asked to, what, justify their sexuality? Yes.
So this is a questionnaire, and no word on who this goes to. I mean, I don't know if straight people are allowed to only respond to this questionnaire because it was from a gender studies class, which is crazy that again we are going to school to study gender it should be taught maybe in the elementary boy girl class dismissed but it's from this professor handed out the heterosexual questionnaire asking them to justify their sexuality and i was looking todd at the pamphlet this would almost be like the syllabus everybody gets a syllabus when you start the class and to even begin the course, you have to go through and answer these questions.
So maybe Todd, I will ask you. Wow, this is like 16 questions. Yeah. It's a lot. All right, let's do it.
All right, I'm the professor. Todd, what do you think about or what caused your heterosexuality? God. When and how did you decide that you were a heterosexual male? God.
God told you that? To who have you disclosed your heterosexuality and how did they react? Do we have some Barry White baby making music? To who have you disclosed it to?
Well, I guess the nation. The nation. Yeah. Okay. Did they react already?
I think so. Are you guys okay with me being hetero? I guess you have to ask the listeners of the Todd Stern Show. Number four, could it be that your heterosexuality is just a face?
Well, it's been a 57-year-old face, so I guess anything's possible. Anything's possible. It's been a wild year. Let's get into some of these. All right.
Question number eight. Why do you flaunt your lifestyle with wedding rings, photos at work, and talk about your heterosexual escapades? Who does that? Who does that? Do people flaunt their lifestyle with wedding rings?
I mean, is that a bad thing? Dylan, I guess, does.
So, Dylan, are you flaunting your heterosexuality? How do I flaunt it? Do you have a ring on? I do have a ring on. Oh, you heterosexual.
all. Quit flaunting that. All right, back to me, because I'm the teacher. Your heterosexuality doesn't offend me as long as you leave me alone, but why do so many heterosexuals try to seduce others into their orientation? Why are you trying to convince people that may be members of the LGBTQ community to drop all the alphabets and become an S?
Aren't we born that way? I thought that was the whole argument. I'm confused now.
Now, this one's a little bit confusing, because it says, are cancer earthquakes and floods God's way of punishing heterosexual? I'm not sure about that, but I would definitely say Rachel Maddow and Rosie O'Donnell are. Yeah. Yeah. All right.
Last but not least. And anyway, why do you heterosexuals place so much emphasis on sex? I think they have a big issue probably with white heterosexual men. I'm picking up a vibe here that is not pro-hetero. It may be just me, but I think this university may have a problem, or this gender studies teacher may have a problem with straight guys.
Well, the professor explains why. The great majority of child molesters are heterosexual. Do you consider it safe to expose your children to heterosexual teachers?
Well, and the other part of this is that most of that abuse happens in the public school system. They don't want to talk about that. And who controls the public schools in America? It's a great question.
So, anyways. I just want to point that out. Yeah. You wonder what the point of this is. What point is the gender studies teacher trying to make that you should be ashamed to be a straight person?
Is that what they're suggesting here? Yeah, that all the ills of this society stem from heterosexual relationships. For example, question number 12. With all of the societal support that these marriages receive, heterosexual man be woman, like man meets woman, the divorce rate is spiraling. Why are there so few stable relationships among heterosexual people?
Wait, what? Yeah. Look, you know what they call straight people? What? They call them breeders.
That's what they call them. Oh, wow. They kind of do that. But here's the, I hate to break this to the alphabet activist, but you couldn't be an alphabet activist without the heterosexuals. You need a mommy and a daddy somewhere in the food chain.
I just imagine, I mean, I went to school, I graduated in 2021. If my professor asked me this list of questions, like, do you have to stand, do you have to tell the class? Do you just respond, give all of this information to your professor? I'm not friends with my professors. I was never that cozy and comfortable and close to them that I want to disclose everything that I'm doing after 8 p.m.
in my bedroom. It's very weird. It's very strange. Very strange. And again, why are the tax dollars of the good people of Pennsylvania being used to fund a class like this?
That's what I'd like to know. And how does this prepare these college students from taking on real-world problems? Because I can tell you, There's a lot of problems in this society. There are a lot of problems that you as a young person face upon receiving your diploma. This questioning one's sexuality isn't one of them.
You know, it's interesting that you bring that up because there are a lot of kids struggling to find jobs coming out of college. And I think that we can safely say that this is happening on virtually every college campus in America. I'm not talking about the private schools. I'm talking about these taxpayer-funded universities where these kids are being told that you should not go and work at companies where maybe you don't share their values. Or maybe if it's a conservative company, you shouldn't work there.
So many of these kids who are very well qualified are now living with their parents in the basement because of their ideology.
Somebody at that university is teaching them that kind of nonsense. Yeah. I would love to see the grading rubric for this questionnaire. Like, do you get extra points if you sleep with dudes? Do you get maybe an A-plus if you're a lesbian?
Because I would just lie on the form. I would be like, yeah, I mean, first of all, I would tell the teacher to stop with the woke nonsense. But genuinely, what this questionnaire is asking these students to do is question their sexuality and sleep with the same sex.
So is that who gets an A-plus and who fails the class? it's it's a great question and again what is what is the point of all of this and what is the great i'm wondering how do you grade this what well i would get that first question yeah i'm looking down through as your professor for this segment you felt the class you're gonna have to start middle school again that's not good that's not good geez lou all right well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the heterosexual question. We're going to post this on the website, TomSterns.com. You should take the quiz, ladies and gentlemen, and so you'll be able to determine whether or not – well, we don't even know what this is, right? At the end of the – the professor should at least say what you are at the end of the quiz.
Yeah. You're straight.
Okay. All right. Moving on. Geez-aloo. All right.
Hang tight, folks. Got to take a quick break. We'll take your calls on this as well. Is this a good use of taxpayer funding? And I thought algebra was hard.
Oh, geez. Don't even get me started on calculus. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starnes Radio Show, live in the Liberty University studios.

This email brings you daily highlights from the Oval Office right to your inbox five days a week. I will put America first. It'll help you follow President Trump at the speed of Trump. Live from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. That's us, that's right I love this American ride They convinced me in there.
I'm a no. Is there anything? Look, let me, their own numbers. If the Republican plan passes under the rosiest assumptions, which aren't even true, we're going to add $328 billion to the deficit this year. We're going to add $295 billion to the deficit the year after that and $242 billion to the deficit after that under the rosiest assumptions.
Why would I vote for that? All right, that was Congressman Thomas Massey, the lone Republican no vote yesterday on the big, big budget resolution.
So this is far from over. the senate uh has to come up with with their plan and we're gonna see um we'll do a deep dive into this um because i i do have some concerns about what's going on but the idea is we have to spend more money to to cut more money so it's it's all very convoluted but we'll get into that uh later on today and if we don't if we run out of time we'll we'll talk about it tomorrow in the meantime we're hearing that thousands of government workers may be fired today are in the process of being fired all part of the doge work i want to go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line and say hello to a great friend she represents uh the ninth congressional district in indiana congresswoman aaron hochin congressman good to have you with us thank you so much for having me So I want to get your take here on, first of all, the budget committee. You guys came up with a plan, and now the Senate Republicans have to come up with theirs. What are you hearing about the reconciliation process?
Well, last night we passed the budget resolution, which really taught us just a framework for setting forward what we're going to try to do in reconciliation. It's the start of a process. we had to kick off this resolution to get the process started and try to find the savings that we want to find to pay for permanent tax relief and border security and energy production and filing back to size and so for government so we did that last night um there's been a lot of fear-mongering and dishonesty from the left about what the resolution actually does it does not make law it just starts the process so the committees are going to begin working and And I feel pretty comfortable that we were able to get that finally out of the House of Representatives and we'll be able to start negotiating not only within our own committees, but with the Senate on a responsible package moving forward. You know, I think a lot of people are, you know, the great fear that's being hyped up by the left, and it's just a lie that Social Security is going to be cut. That is not the case, right?
That's correct. I mean, President Trump has said we're not cutting Social Security, Medicare, and we're not going to take away the benefits for eligible people off Medicaid. We can institute work requirements for Medicaid. We can make sure that illegal immigrants aren't getting Medicaid. There are things we can do and we will do within the Energy and Commerce Committee that aren't cut to these programs or benefits.
And in this resolution, despite everything that the Democrats were saying in our committees and on the House floor, it does not have a specific cut to a single program or benefit. It simply outlines the amount of cuts that each committee must find, and that's the work that's going to begin now. Are you guys hearing any numbers yet? How many federal workers have been fired? I have not heard any numbers.
I heard the numbers on your top line there about today. I, you know, what Elon Musk had said earlier is, you know, in this DOGE process, they will make mistakes, and when they do, they'll rectify those.
Some of the agencies should report on their activities to promote, you know, the maximum efficiency and productivity for our federal workers. I have my own employees submit, you know, a weekly report on what they've done this, you know, in the previous week. That's not uncommon. Just we need to be careful about asking for our folks in the national security space and the defense space to be putting stuff out there. And I think they quickly jumped on that and reversed course.
Do you think Elon is overstepping the mark in some of these instances? I think Elon is eager to get this, you know, all of this waste, fraud and abuse out of the system. We've had federal workers who haven't shown up to work in many years after COVID and haven't been required to show back up to work. That's always going to be a difficult process. But the federal workforce works on the American tax dollar, and it should be functioning at the maximum effective level.
So DOGE is intent on trying to do that. It's disrupting Washington, but it's exactly what 77 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump voted for. They knew going into it that Elon was part of the equation. And so now he's trying to get to that, you know, dig into that work. And he again said, sometimes they'll make mistakes, but we will correct them.
It's fully transparent, which is different from the Biden administration. These bureaucrats were making these decisions in the dark of night.
Now some of these decisions are being made in full sunlight. And I think that's a good and healthy thing for, you know, these federal agencies. They do need an audit. I'm not sure the federal government has ever audited itself, but it's something that is necessary, and I'm glad to see. There was a great movie, Congressman.
I don't know if you're a movie buff. I'm a huge movie buff. And there was a movie called Draft Day starring Kevin Costner, and it's about an NFL team, and they were making their number one draft pick.
So that was the whole gist of it. That was the plot line of the movie. And so anyway, one of the ways they determined whether or not to pick a quarterback is that they would give him the playbook, and they would have to go and read the playbook. And so they would always come back the next day and say, hey, did you read the playbook? And if they said yes, and that was it, they would be immediately dismissed.
That was their choice. And the reason why is because tucked away in that playbook was like a $100 bill. And the point was, if you read it, you were going to find that $100 bill. And Elon just put out a statement. They were asking about what's going to happen to these workers who filled out this survey, the bullet points.
And Elon just said, this was not a performance review. This was a pulse check. We just want to make sure that people are doing what they're supposed to be doing. Yeah, that's correct. I mean, there are concerns that there are some federal workers, and this is by no means across the entire federal workforce.
We've got some great people out there doing these jobs for the American people. But there are some federal workers that they suspect have not even logged in to check their email, and that those might be ones that Elon is trying to check the pulse of. Are you hearing, you know, a lot of Republicans are getting deluged at these town hall meetings, and the media says, oh, these are Republicans, and they're angry at their Republican lawmaker. I don't think that's the case at all. I think these are operatives.
I think they're Democrats, and they're trying to cause disruption. I'm wondering, are you hearing any of that scuttlebutt? Yes, and we know that Media Matters is professionally organizing some of these groups. We know that Democrat Party apparatus in some of our states are organizing some of these, you know, fomenting some of this and making it appear as it's the grassroots, but it's mostly astroturf. I know there are people who do contact the office, but they some have concerns about their federal job or their federal contract.
And we're working through some of those issues with the administration. but for the most part it's it's by and large uh astroturf driven by these far left groups that just don't want to cut out any waste fraud or abuse because it is uh it has been their uh some of their gravy train well and and that's it and i would love to know if groups like media matters have been getting government dollars under the table and maybe that's one of the reasons why they're so outraged over all of this yeah i mean we do know that under usa id there were some like even in in my state there was some money going to quote-unquote non-profit news sources that um we know politico was receiving some of those funds so uh doge is uncovering some things that might make some people uncomfortable and i think that is that is some of the the uh protestations you're seeing not only among our Democrat colleagues here on the Hill, but also in the Democrat parties across the country, because they have had this, you know, part of the reason they don't like taking away the Department of Education is because that has been the prime driver of all of these DEI initiatives in every school in America, and they don't like it. And I wouldn't expect them to if that's been their gravy train and their path to power, that is going to be a threat to them, and they are going to be pretty vocal about it, I would imagine. Before we let you go, I have to beg you, as the owner of a News Talk radio station, a commercial radio station, it just angers me that NPR and PBS get taxpayer money, that the money I make as a private radio station owner go to fund another radio network. And it's not anything against NPR or whatever they're putting out on the air.
I would have a problem if they were conservative leaning. I just don't think the government ought to be in the business of funding the radio stations. I absolutely agree with you, Todd. That has been something I've said since I came to Washington. I don't understand why we're still providing funding for those, especially in NPR, when it's far from balanced.
and it just shouldn't be funded by the tax dollar. But we'll be working on that, I'm sure, on the Energy and Commerce Committee. We had some comments last night from some of our colleagues on the left, just really very fearful that we're going to stop funding the liberal media of NPR. But I can tell you that it's not something that my constituents want their tax dollars to be going to. If they want to, they will contribute just like they do with their listening ears or with their private donations.
All right. Well, Congresswoman, we really appreciate your time. Great intel, great info, and we appreciate you fighting the good fight. I'm looking forward to becoming fiscal Republicans again, fiscally conservative Republicans again, and it looks like we're heading in that direction. I hope so, Todd.
Thanks so much for having me. All right, the great congresswoman from Indiana, ladies and gentlemen, Erin Huchan on the Todd Stern Show. And a lot to unravel there. But I love what Elon said about this. It was a pulse check.
We just want to make sure that you're checking your email, that you're following through. And let me say this. If you can't fill out a five-point survey saying, hey, here's what I did last week, you got big problems. Dieter made the whole staff do it a couple of days ago and you you stopped at what 182 yeah 182 so I'm just telling you there's something going on here folks there's something that doesn't smell right and I think we're going to find out that we have tens of thousands of government workers who are doing diddly they're doing squat they're doing diddly squat and I will say this And the people who ought to be the most enraged are the federal workers who are busting their butts, who are out there doing a good job. Because, look, not everybody, and it's easy to kind of paint with a broad brush here, but not everybody that works in the federal government and the bureaucracy is a bad person.
You've got some really good people. And we're going to play some audio from one of those. They called into the breakfast club earlier this week to say, hey, I got no problem filling out a five bullet point. Here's what I did last week. 901-260-5926.
And I would like to hear from those government. Maybe you are a government worker and you see all of the corruption. You see all of the waste. And you know there are a bunch of deadbeats on the payroll. 901-260-5926.

Welcome back, everybody. Happy to have you with us. This is the Todd Stearns Radio Show. By the way, I was talking to Larry Elder. We were texting last night and talking about how great Old Glory Bank is, and we have so enjoyed their partnership.
So many of you are reaching out and saying, wow, it's finally nice to have a patriotic bank in America. And it's a bank that you can trust, FDIC insured, created to protect your privacy, your security, and your liberty. Old Glory Bank. Dr. Ben Carson, John Rich, and Larry co-founded Old Glory Bank back in 2022.
Three years later, they're serving tens of thousands of customers in all 50 states.
So I want you to go check them out, oldglorybank.com. That's oldglorybank.com. You can open up an account online. You can put your money in the hands of people that you can actually trust. And that is a great thing.
All right, I want to go back and play some audio here. Tulsi Gabbard was on Fox, and she dropped something of a bombshell. It turns out that dozens and dozens of NSA employees were taking part in a transgender group chat. Apparently, during the Biden administration, the only people they were hiring were L's, G's, B's, and T's. That's it.
Here's Tulsi Gabbard explaining what they're going to do next. Not so good to see some of these transgender sex chats among the intel officials. What are we going to do about that?
Well, Jesse, what we're going to do has already been done. There are over 100 people from across the intelligence community that contributed to and participated in this. What is really just an egregious violation of trust, what to speak of like basic rules and standards around professionalism. I put out a directive today that they all will be terminated and their security clearances will be revoked But the thing here Jesse is we got to take a step back because this is just barely scratching the surface When you see what these people were saying and thanks to Chris Ruffo for putting it all out online they were brazen in using an NSA platform intended for professional use to conduct this kind of really, really horrific behavior. And that wasn't all.
Our friend Chris Ruffo over at the Manhattan Institute discovered some incredibly shocking information. He says that there were just multiple chats going on in official government chat rooms.
So these are chat rooms paid for by you and me. And Ruffo says that these and many of these people work at the three letter agency, CIA, NSA, Navy, Intel. And it's really shocking because they were mocking and attacking Christians. They were attacking Jews. They were attacking conservatives and also heterosexuals.
This is unbelievable. And again, more than 100 intelligence officers from 15 agencies have already been fired, as Gabbard said, for sexually explicit conversations in this government chat tool. Bonkers. bonkers. Unbelievable.
So among the people that they targeted in these chats, Pat Robertson, who was a great conservative leader. He ran for president of the United States, ran in the Republican primary, and he was the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, CBM. He died a couple of years ago. He was in his late 90s. And some of the conversations they were having in this chat room.
Just unbelievably offensive. And Rufo is exposing all of this information, says they also went after the founder of Libs of TikTok and called her all sorts of profanities, said that she was a monster, and questioned whether or not Ben Shapiro was really a true Jew because he used the phrase Judeo-Christian. And all of this was happening on the company dime in a chant room that was paid for by you, the taxpayers of America. I think a lot of people are going to be stunned when we start naming names because every single person who got fired, we ought to know who those people are. We paid their salary.
We need to know who they are, ladies and gentlemen. Name and shame. That's what I say. 901-260-5926, our number. This is the Todd Stern Show.
President Trump is moving at lightning speed. Billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse. Executive orders, new policies, promises kept. It's hard to keep up until now. Subscribe to The Trump Report.
This email brings you daily highlights from the Oval Office right to your inbox five days a week. The golden age of America begins right now. It'll help you follow President Trump at the speed of Trump. well a lot of lawmakers are are fired up and they're directing their fire towards attorney general pam bondi pressure is mounting this story coming from politico a number of republican lawmakers are wondering why Pam Bondi has not released the Jeffrey Epstein client list.
Now, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, she is the Republican from Florida. She is leading the campaign to release these documents, and she's really putting pressure on the Attorney General to do just that.
Now, Pam Bondi was sworn in earlier this month to head up the Department of Justice. She is literally in possession of files related to the investigation into Epstein, and it could include his client list.
Now, a lot of people say that that list includes many high-profile names, and you've heard many of them mentioned on this program, chief among them William Jefferson Clinton.
Now, Pam Bondi told John Roberts, and by the way, If I could just say this, it is a bit concerning that these administration, that the top administration officials are only going on Fox News right now. That's it. Everybody else, every other conservative media outlet, every liberal media outlet, everybody else has been iced out.
So they're using Fox News Channel as the official voice of the administration. And so Pam Bondi told Fox News Channel's John Roberts that the list was sitting on her desk to review. She said that's been a directive by President Trump to release the client list.
So now a lot of people are wondering, okay, what's the holdup? It's sitting there on your desk. Why not just release it? Put out a press statement, screenshot it, put it on Instagram, do a TikTok. Paulina Luna chairs a task force on the declassification of federal secrets.
and she said that she's reaching out on X and this is where it gets troubling. And this is why I'm a little getting a little anxious here. Luna said, I'm reaching out on X because we can't seem to get a response from the attorney general. Pam Bondi, what is the status of the documents? These documents were ordered to be declassified.
Congressman Tim Burchett, Senator Mike Lee, Congressman Mike Collins, Lauren Boebert have also pressured Bondi on social media to take action. As a matter of fact, Boebert writing, today would be a great day for Pam Bondi to release the Epstein files. The truth will set us free. On Monday, Senator Marsha Blackburn sent a letter to Cash, Patel, and Bondi requesting the release of information relevant to Epstein's case, including flight logs from the private jet and helicopter. I'm just curious.
Why do you think Bondi's not releasing that list, ladies and gentlemen? Why do you think that is? I mean, President Trump said, I want this released. Why is Pam Bondi sitting on this information? It's a fair question.
So now the Democrats are getting involved. and i knew this was going to happen but shockingly these are fair questions and one of them is coming from none other than ilhan omar the muslim refugee who hates america she said this the ag still not releasing the epstein files is weird and raises the question of who she might be protecting and again she look omar is not wrong here right why are i mean everybody's now asking you've got bipartisan curiosity going on.
So what is it in that list that they don't want people to know about? Could it be, I'm just throwing this out there, could it be possible that there are some Republican names on that list? Does that make a difference to you? If there are Republican names on the list, do you think that we ought to keep that private? I say release it all.
Let's be, oh, what's the word I'm looking for? Let's be transparent. Let's be transparent here. The Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats posted on, geez, it's laughable because the Democrats could have released all of this, but they didn't. And the reason why is I suspect there are more Democrats on the list than there are Republicans, but I do believe there are Republicans on that list and they don't want those names coming out.
Or maybe just maybe Pam Bondi is just being theatrical and forcing all of us to beg and plead and cajole. But when you've got Ilhan Omar and Lauren Boebert on the same side of an issue, that's not a good place to be. The Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats writing this on X, Pam Bondi is sitting on the Epstein files right now. What are you waiting for? And I want to go back to something that Congresswoman Luna mentioned earlier.
She said that the only reason she was reaching out on X to the attorney general is because nobody from her office was returning their calls.
Well, I will tell you this. They're not the only ones. every single and i'm telling you every single government agency now goes directly to fox news they don't go to anybody else just fox news got a problem with that i had a problem with it when the biden administration would just go to the new york times or cnn or msdnc but this administration they want to you they have partnered exclusively with fox news and what really angers me about that is you've got the Fox News reporters out there who are all raging leftists, and they are waging war on the Trump administration right there in the White House press briefing room. They've got to get all this sorted out. And it's still early in the administration.
I'm willing to give them a little bit of leeway here. But this kind of stuff, and I'm just wondering, does it bother you that that list has not been released yet? 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Starr Show.
All right, breaking news out of Brooklyn, New York. McDonald's. McDonald's in Flatbush in Brooklyn, great neighborhood.
Now checking IDs and demanding age requirements to get inside. This is terrible. McDonald's, the owner there, is now requiring customers under the age of 20 to be accompanied by a parent.
Now, I know people are scratching their heads over this, but if you've been to the mall lately, you understand why McDonald's is doing this. Because these parents are forcing their kids to behave like wild animals, right? Have you seen it? You've been to the mall. Just the other day at the Wolfchase Galleria, which is the main shopping district in Memphis, huge beautiful mall it was once thriving packed with stores packed with customers but you've got rampaging hordes of young people causing all sorts of mayhem so i'm not surprised that the owner did this people will now have to show their id to order a big mac or be over 20 to buy a happy meal most customers say the age restriction is a good thing By the way, here's how bad it is.
They have to have three security guards at the McDonald's. McDonald's. Unbelievable.
So good for you, Mr. Franchise Owner there of Mickey D's. You want to go there, you want to order an Egg McMuffin. You don't want to get a McRumble. I'm just saying.
901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line and say hello to Justin Hightower from Priority Gold. Justin, hope you're doing well today. Thank you, Todd.
Yes, absolutely. All right. Happy to be back on your show today. Absolutely.
So, look, President Trump holding his very first cabinet meeting earlier today. I've got to tell you, I'm really excited about who's around that table, but I'm especially excited about the people in charge of the economy and getting this country back on the right track here. And I know that gold and precious metals is going to be a big part of that movement. Yes, absolutely. We are seeing gold once again back to money systems of this world.
That is clear. That is the signal that gold is sending with the price increases that we've seen over the last year.
So let's talk about what the Trump economy is doing. The president shaking up Washington. What should hardworking Americans be watching for right now? We should expect to see the things he promised that got him elected and taking an axe to burden some regulations, tax cuts that might actually leave a few bucks in your wallet next year, energy policies that bring back cheap gasoline. And I think a big push from his admin is to get manufacturing back on shore so we start producing goods again here.
All that's music to my ears. It's like Christmas morning, Santa's wearing a red tie and carrying a chainsaw. Yeah, no doubt.
Well, no, he is. But the reality is it's going to take some time. I mean, Joe and Kamala dug a very deep economic hole in this country, and it's going to take a little while to get out of that hole. In the meantime, a lot of people are really getting concerned about their retirement savings and their 401ks. What do you tell folks that have those concerns?
It's a big bag out there right now. It's no secret Biden and Kamala left us listing worse than the Titanic after a bad day with an iceberg. Deficits, inflation, welfare for everyone, you name it. But it's in the past. We have to be solution-focused and press forward.
Trump's pro-growth agenda is going to be good juice for the markets. Valuations are already at historic levels at this point, though, and the debt problems we face will not go away easily. You know, we're going to see more defaults likely in the financial arena. $10 trillion has to be refinanced this year, which means likely more currency debasement, persistently high interest rates, that sort of thing.
So either way, a little gold and silver might be your lifeboat if the waves get choppy out there. I'm betting on him changing a lot with the way Washington, D.C. operates. It should be good things. And that is the issue here is inflation.
and it's been just eating away at people's savings. It's almost like a locust.
So what do people need to be doing now? And I know that gold in past generations, it's always been really a haven for wealth and protecting your retirement and your savings. Gold's hitting peaks. Silver's sprinting along. We're up about 45% in the last 12 months.
There's a lot of wealth in this world that is seeking safety. There's debt problems, 36, almost $37 trillion worth of debt out there. We're going to see defaults. Again, that's coming. And so making your money real, tangible, physical, it's not a promise on a piece of paper from a bank.
That is what gold has, the attraction that everyone has to it today. It's real money. It's God's money. And, yeah, everybody should have some allocation to it. You know, I'm just curious the kinds of calls you guys have been fielding over at Priority Gold.
I know a lot of our listeners have questions. What are some of the top questions that you and your team are getting? A big one right now is concerning what's going on with Trump's policies. A big one is the tariffs, right? He's eyeballing China's 60% tariffs.
I say it's high time that we stop letting them play us like a fiddle. It's the right move. Short-term, your toaster might cost more, but long-term, it's jobs that are coming home instead of ships that are going out.
So we do get a lot of questions on how that's going to impact things. We see higher inflation, right? We're going to have some tariffs, you know, and physical commodities are going to rise with inflation.
So if you want to insulate yourself from that, you get hard assets, right? You get your money away from risk, get into things that are going to go up with inflation. It's what we're going to expect to see, so you might as well take advantage of it. All right, Justin Hightower is the Director of Sales at Priority Gold, and I want you to check him out, folks. prioritygold.com slash Todd.
That's prioritygold.com slash Todd. And they have all sorts of incredible information for you there. And we're going to talk more about what they've got there on the website in just a moment. But Justin, when you look at where things are right now, the sky-high credit card debt, you've got mortgage rates out there. People are really struggling.
And I'm wondering about the Federal Reserve. Are they actually helping this? Are they making things worse? and is it possible that they could go too far with the rate cuts and what could happen if that if they do that uh the federal reserve is listless at the uh helm of the ship right now they're trying you know it's a lot of jawboning from powell and their organization at the end of the day the free markets control interest rates and we have a lot of debt that has to be refinanced i said earlier 10 trillion dollars that is going to you know there's a lot of demand that has to soak up that refinancing debt. Interest rates are going to be really tough to push down.
We don't foresee any interest rate decreases this year, even though the Fed's talking about it. The market's already starting to price those out as well. And we could even see interest rates start to go up by the end of this year and the next year.
So it's going to be tough. I'm not sure if the Fed is up to the task to be able to push these down. We'll see. Is it a good time to buy gold and silver now, or did folks miss the boat on this? it is always a good time to buy gold whenever the choice is between you holding cash u.s dollars in the bank that are losing value and are promised on a piece of paper gold is going to be a superior choice we've seen over history the increases in gold that are happening we're not going to stop printing money silver is a commodity that the world has to have it's very necessary for the digital growth of our world.
And if you have that, you have real wealth. You have real value.
So absolutely, it is always a good time to buy gold and silver. We're going to see higher prices.
So we don't foresee that stopping.
Well, I mean, when you look at what the central banks are, I mean, everybody's stockpiling gold. I mean, everybody and President Trump heading to Fort Knox with Elon to see if we actually have gold still there. A lot of people are cutting back on their U.S. dollar reserve.
So what do they know that the average American might not know here? The world's a circus, and I don't think anybody trusts the ringmaster right now. Federal reserves, the central banks of the world, that's why they're stockpiling on gold. Gold is something that you don't have to trust the, you know, job boning that's happening. It's real wealth.
And as we see right now, the central banks of England, of other countries, they're stockpiling gold at record volumes three years in a row. We've seen more than a thousand tons of gold being purchased in this world. It's because fiat money has lost trust.
So it's going to be something we're continuing to track on our side of things. The world is dumping dollars and getting into real money again.
So just real quick here, before we, before we let you go, let's talk about prioritygold.com slash Todd. Live from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. That's us, that's right. I love this American. and ride Todd Starnes. Oh, yeah.
Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Starnes Radio Show. Happy to have you with us today. Wow.
A lot going on this hour of the program. Years ago, I read a novel. Scared the living bejeebers out of me. And the book is based right outside of Asheville, North Carolina. And it's at a college, Montreat College.
and I've been to Montreat College. Many of you have. Beautiful area there of western North Carolina. And there is an EMP attack on America. And the novel is all about the aftermath of that event, when the lights don't come back on, when there is no electricity, there is no power, there are no automobiles, and you're taken all the way back to the 19th century in America.
and the aftermath of that is just mind-boggling. And so I don't know if you ever had these moments where you're just sitting there going, I wonder what I would do if the power went out and did not come back on. What would I do if the grocery stores weren't there and you had to provide for yourself? What was the answer to your questions you're asking yourself? I'm so curious.
Would you survive? No, it would be a slow and painful death. Pretty certain of that. no i but but it does you need to go hunting you need to get a bow and arrows a tree stand you live in tennessee todd you can go get your venison you just have to be a deer slayer you just want the broth don't you you want that venison broth and the liver and i'd eat that too so here's the deal i am actually looking for land uh that does have like a water source on us you know whether it's a river stream whatever because i want to make sure i have a you know if i've got a bug out i want to make sure that I'm going to be at a place that where I'll be able to have water, be able to, you know, have land and, you know, be able to survive. You need to call Thomas Massey because Thomas Massey, he has everything going on, on top of his little hill and holler there in Kentucky.
It's true. And then, well, you know, so does Tim Burchett over in East Tennessee. He's got a big old place. Have you watched Hunger Games? I have.
That's what I imagine it could be. It's like survival of the fittest. Every man for himself. Or just every day at the Wolfchase Galleria.
Well, that too. Memphis, Tennessee will prep you for the afterlife if we get hit with an EMP. I don't want to be, if the power goes out for any amount of time, I don't want to be in Memphis, Tennessee. I want to be as far away from this place as possible. That's a problem because you broadcast the national show right here in Memphis.
Yeah, we can relocate the show. We can relocate the show. But anyway, we're going to be talking to the author of that book, and he is the nation's foremost expert on EMPs. And I am curious, do you guys have a plan? Have you sat down and sketched out?
Some of you probably have like a bunker, like you've built something underground. You're ready to go. You've got everything prepped. You're ready to rock and roll in the event everything goes south.
Well, have you watched the Civil War movie? Which one? The new Civil War movie. It's out on HBO. It's basically very dystopian.
if America were to fall apart and you have Texas and Florida, they are fighting the rest of the country, and it's very sci-fi, and basically all the communications are down in the country, and people are trying to get to the nation's capital. But you don't have your GPS, you don't have your phone, and that's what I imagine this to be like. I just wonder how many of you remember when you went on family vacation, and the Stearns family, that's kind of a thing we used to do when we were kids, is that all the kids, the cousins, aunts and uncles, grandma, grandpa, everybody would go to Florida. And that was kind of like we would do the family vacations. We went to one of my favorite vacations.
We went to Opryland. And back when it was a huge amusement. Before Dolly, this is pre-Dollywood. When Opryland was like the massive amusement park. And we would go down to, we call it the Redneck Riviera on the Gulf of America.
and that's that you know florida panhandle pensacola panama city that was sort of our family's jam and we would always get out the map and i remember my grandfather would pull out the we would have the rand mcnally maps you guys may remember this and they were paper maps and you had to unfold them and they were literally the size of the broadcast table and then you would actually what you would plot out your trip and then your grandmother or whoever was riding shotgun in the car was responsible for telling the driver all right uh you're gonna turn left here turn you know turn right there there when you actually got to your destination doing that that's how you did that back in the day any of you folks remember that wait what about map quest do you remember map quest there was no map quest back in the 70s oh well that was my dad's thing before gps is he would get on his computer i think map quest was launched back in 1996 and then you would put it and you printed out your directions. I do remember that. All right, this predates that.
So there were no computers back in the day. Did you ask the gas station clerk? You could. And so you'd pull into the gas station, and there'd be some sort of an old-timer there by the name of Gomer or something. How?
And he'd say, well, you go down there for a piece, and you'd head down there and turn left at Farmer Sal's barn and go down a far piece and you'll get there eventually. It's true. What are you doing?
Sorry. You have an exciting sponsor that's going to be coming on your show very, very soon. And here's what happens. They give Todd these boxes filled with goodies and they're in the studio. And I'm smelling and eating them.
It's a brand new coffee company and we're trying this out.
So one of the things we do, and this is for all of our new listeners, we try out all the products before we agree to bring them on board as sponsors so and we want to make sure yeah we don't want to sell them something that's gonna yeah suck yeah or taste bad so right now we're doing the tasting and the smelling and todd that coffee brew those ground coffee those are amazing amazing so we're going to be introducing you to a brand new we're not going to do it today no but it is a brand new coffee company just wait till march and i am a coffee snob and this is going to be it's really some of the best coffee in it i'm gonna have to say goodbye to community coffee yeah it's that good it's incredible wait okay so i just thought that was something that happened in the movies that is insane that you yeah i view you as you know a very young whippersnapper todd but you dated back to where you had to use the maps that's wild anybody remember the trs 80s that was like the we call them the trash trash 80s is what we call them uh those are the early early computers early home computers but again i just curious do you guys have like a plan in the event society collapses And based on what we seen in other calamities it not going to take that much time So I'm just curious if any of you folks have a game plan to get out of town and save your family in the event the lights go out and don't come back.
Well, I'm directionally challenged, but I do know how to get to your chalet, Todd.
so I know where I'm going to bunker. I won't be there. Oh, no? No, I'll be out in the woods somewhere.
Well, make sure you pick me up in downtown Memphis when you head out. I'm not going anywhere around downtown in the apocalypse. That's like Mad Max territory. Let's go to the phone lines, 901-260-5926. Say hello to Kyle in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM.
Hi, Kyle. What's going on? Hey, Todd. Hey, yeah. Yeah, I just was hearing what the current topic is about how things used to be with technology and how people, you know, communicated with each other and navigated and stuff.
And the thing is, you know, I was born in the early 90s, so I was kind of that last, I got that tail end of childhood and adolescence and everything without, pretty much without internet and without GPS. Yes.
So, yeah, I have a memory of, like you said, about, you know, my parents using maps and we go on vacation and having to navigate around. You know, you had to know what direction you're going in. You need to know which direction the streets ran, north, south, east and west and all those things.
So, you know, in terms of the broader topic, what you're talking about, about how if something were to go down, I mean. And, yeah, I mean, I would admit myself, I mean, at this point, I'm so used to technology now over the last decade and 15 years now that I probably wouldn't, you know, I probably wouldn't make it. But I would definitely, definitely, I would be better off than the vast majority of really of other people my age and then younger for sure. I know people even slightly older than me that I could be talking about, hey, you go west down Poplar, you're going to take a left over there, and they're like, wait, what does that mean? I don't understand.
What? I'm like, dude, they can't grasp anything. If they don't have a GPS, then it's like they're screwed. Kyle, could you imagine? And we've seen this happen in just spurts, like when Twitter goes down or Facebook goes down, and there is like mass chaos around the country people like are freaking out over stuff like this and i'm watching i'm watching the reactions and the behaviors and i'm thinking to myself man if we've really got a national emergency we're all screwed here i think yeah it's funny you mention that just a week or two ago i saw some some video of oh you know that's what it was it was when they banned tiktok for like you know two days or whatever it was and there was some videos of these, more than likely they're the far leftist, I guess they had got on either Facebook or Instagram, and they are literally losing their minds.
It's like they were crying. They didn't know what to do. They were like, what am I supposed to do with TikTok? How am I supposed to live? And it's just like, see, it's almost like that's some sort of weird grand plan that these globalists are doing.
I think that's what they want in our youth. They want us to be so dependable on all of that junk. They don't want us to be able to think for ourselves. They don't want us to be able to think. They want us to be so dependable on all of this unnecessary crap.
It's just... It's a good point. I mean, when you think about it. Oh, I had it, Kyle. When TikTok went down and they permanently...
What we thought at the time, it was going away forever. I was on Poplar Avenue at the Sprouts there. and I got on TikTok. I don't know why I was on TikTok while I was grocery shopping and I jumped on and it said, goodbye, you can't get on the app anymore. And me and every young person under the age of 25 got together real quick and there was wailing and gnashing of teeth in that Sprouts because they had taken away what we deem as an essential service, which who knew that would be TikTok in 2025.
Crazy.
Well, I'll take it a step further, guys. If the lights go out, you know, there is no refrigeration. There is no TikTok or computers. There's no Wi-Fi. And so you wonder at that point, how many people in America are actually self-sufficient?
I mean, it's going to be hard for everybody. But there was a time in this country, and I think this started to end probably in the 80s, when most people knew how to plant a garden. They were teaching their kids how to do basic mechanic work on their car. Girls were learning how to can and store food and put things up for the winter months. And I don't think we do that anymore.
I don't think if I sent the Todd Stern Show team outside to build a fire, I don't know if we'd be able to do that, guys.
Well, I would. What are you saying? This is so offensive. My gosh. No, I would need at least gasoline, and I would need magazines.
And then I would be fine, totally. All right, Kyle, appreciate the call. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. I'm just wondering, are you teaching your kids, your grandkids, basic life skills they will need to save their lives in the event of an apocalypse?
We'll be right back. All right, welcome back to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Let's go to the phone lines, 901-260-5926. Shannon in Cordova, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM. Hi, Shannon, what's on your mind?
Well, I was just going to say that I think the only ones that would truly survive without any problem would be the Amish or the Mennonite people. Oh, yeah.
They're already pretty much there. That's true. Yeah, they do the buggies, and they've got the barns and all that kind of whatnot. They make great— They don't have electricity. They don't have electricity.
I mean, they're already living in a post-EMP world, kind of. Wow.
Would we have to grow beards and wear overalls? Can we fit in, Shannon? I would hope not. But I just—you know, my husband always says, because he's been talking about it for probably since, you know, Biden got into office. or was in office and stuff like that, that if things went to hell in a handbasket, that as long as he had, you know, a fishing pole and his rifle, we would not starve because there's deer aplenty and fishing.
And that's it, Shannon, is, you know, I guess just being prepared, having a plan. There are some things that you're going to need. You're going to need, at that point, owning land so you can plant your garden, you can plant crops, you've got water, dig a well. Just think through all these things. And I think people, when they start doing a self-inventory, they're going to be shocked by how much they rely on modern technology to get through the day.
Yeah, I agree, too. I'm not on any of the social media apps. I literally just, my husband and kids were driving me crazy, so I'm on Instagram. and I find it very annoying, but I'm not on any of the others. I really care less what anybody's eating for breakfast, lunch, or dinner or, you know, who's wearing what or anything like that.
But, you know, I know that these kids live and die by their phones and stuff like that. I've got three of them and they're, you know, they're all into that stuff too. What are their ages, Shannon? They are 21, 16, and 13. Wow.
Yeah, that's right in the tech hot spot right there. Absolutely.
And I do remember I was born in 71, so I remember my parents using the map to plot out things or wherever it was that they were going or doing stuff like that. Shannon, you and I grew up, you were in the no seatbelts necessary generation. I think so, but I do remember wearing the seatbelt, but I also do remember traveling and laying in the back of the very back of the car, you know, where it was super warm. Oh, yeah, yeah. That one part, you know what I mean?
I know exactly what you mean. Or we used to have an Oldsmobile, and then we had a station wagon. And the station wagons were always fun because we'd pile into the far back of the station wagon. oh yeah yeah absolutely i remember i'm being picked up in the station wagon and there were 40 kids it's true it's true and you know the brady bunch kids they the brady family they had the station wagon so everybody had to have a station wagon yes absolutely my dad drove a cadillac and i remember being sandwiched between my brothers and they would play the sandwich game, you know, when your dad would go to turn left and everybody would lean left and the other one would lean right and squish you in between. And my sister had to sit in between my mom and dad in the front seat.
There were no car seats. That's a way to do it. That little spot. Anybody remember Punch Buggy? Do they still do that?
Yes.
And the PT Cruisers where you see a PT Cruiser and you have to pinch someone. You punch someone if you see the punch buggy, and then you pinch someone if you see a PT cruiser. That reminds me. I've got to tell you a very bad joke about PT cruisers off air. I've been deer.
Shannon, thank you for that. That's a great trip down memory lane. Todd, have you killed a deer yet? Yeah, I have been deer hunting. Can you come home with me?
Because my dad has property. I'm not doing deer hunting. And my dad is an avid deer hunter, and I'm a deer slayer, so we can teach you a couple things. When we moved to Louisiana, my dad taught me how to crawfish. And as a kid, I was wandering around in the swamps laying crawfish traps.
Like a little Huckleberry Finn. Todd Sawyer. That's it. Huckleberry Todd. All right.
901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Hang tight. We're going to get to your calls. We'll be right back.
All right, welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Real quick, let's go to the phone lines. Will in Memphis, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM. Hi, Will. Thanks for holding on.
What's on your mind?
Okay, enjoying your show. And I've been listening quite a while. First time calling in. Just saying you got my memory going there because people said I lived in the past. and I'm a survivalist and I'm a person that plants constantly and say don't go to Kroger, don't go to the stores eat out of your yard eat holistic, eat herbs and all, they laugh at me but I say it's coming a day that you're going to go to the store, the shelf is going to be empty there's not going to be nothing on it, then you're going to holler for me and there's no bottled water for you at the store, you're drinking bottled water all this is going to come down so you've got to know how to take the Mississippi River water or whatever water and clean it up where you can drink it.
I was raised in the country. Born in Memphis but raised in the country where I learned to live like Indian. I say they live in a dadgum teepee in the cold weather. Canvas. It's true.
They take a wagon train coming through, abandon. They take a cover off and make the women chewed all kinds of stuff. Moccasin made everything for the men. Men just only hunted. But I said I think the same way.
I'm right 70 years old, and I started thinking years ago about a bunker, and that's what I did. I bought a whole railroad empty container, and I dug a hole in a hill, a piece of land, a friend of mine, and he thought I was crazy putting it in there with ventilation, canned goods and stuff. I said, well, come down to it. You're going to have to bug out, man. He said, I don't know what that is.
I said, everybody needs a bug out situation. Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee up in the hill. Memphis is not the place you want to be. No, sir. You call 911, and they're saying no ambulance, no police, no fireman.
You've got to have a good first aid kit and know how to dig bullets out your body and stuff, because it's going to be crazy when the lights go out. I'm with you on this, Todd. If the lights are going out, we've got to get ready now. We're being prepared. Get ready with God and bullets and Band-Aids.
Amen. Will, I'm with you 1,000%, and we've got to get ready. Will, you give us a holler back. I love the way you think, and you can be a second-time caller. And thank you for listening to KWAM.
I want to go on that note. I want to go to our Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. And we are so honored to have the guy that really got me thinking about all of this years ago. His name is William Forstian. And he is a New York Times bestselling author.
He's a professor at beautiful Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina. And he is the nation's foremost expert on EMP attacks. And it is such an honor to have you with us, William. hey uh i want that guy you just had on as my neighbor right exactly exactly but a railroad car full of supplies come on i want him as my neighbor exactly and and it's you know again when you think about it we rely so much on modern technology it really does make you wonder what's What would happen if the lights went out and did not come back on? Mm-hmm.
Let me just give, like, a 30-second primer, because we're talking about EMP, electromagnetic pulse weapon, is created by detonating a nuclear weapon about 200 miles out in space. When that happens, it sets up an electrostatic discharge called the Compton effect, cascades to the Earth's surface, feeds into all our electrical wires, which are now antennas, and blows the power grid out. Three such weapons, eastern, central, western United States, would short off the entire power grid of the nation. According to DOE, five years later, 80% of our power grid would still be offline. 80%?
Yes.
So, go ahead. Part of the problem there is, the analogy I give is December 8th, 1941, President's meeting with his military, and the Navy guy says, Sir, what a problem. All our aircraft carriers are made in Japan. And the Army chimes in and says, yeah, and all our tanks and our planes are made in Germany. That's where we're at right now, because guess where all our emergency electrical components to rebuild the grid come from.
China. Yeah, China. Isn't that great?
Well, you know, William, again, when I read your book and I read The Final Day and One Second After, One Year After, and it's just, I don't know if it's because I've been in that area, I knew of the areas that you were writing, it just, it was so realistic and it is just frightening at how quickly civilization could unravel, you know, if something like this were to happen.
Well, you know, there was two congressional studies done in 2002 and again in 2008, which really was what got me into writing about this. And according to those studies, a year after such an event, 80 to 90 percent of American citizens would be dead because we're out of water or instantly. Are you actually in Memphis today or nearby? Yeah, yeah. I mean, we base our national show from Memphis, my hometown.
Well, guess where your water comes from? Even if it's pumped from the Mississippi, it has to go through filtration and everything else. All that's gone. Average town has about 20 days food on hand. Then it's gone.
Medication. Pharmacies only run a day or two ahead if they don't like to store certain drugs in the pharmacy because they're crazy. Command and control, speaking of crazies. What happens to them? Disease, chaos, all of it.
It turns into an ultimate nightmare.
So what do we do about this? Is there a way to prevent some sort of an EMP attack or an attack on the grid?
Well, first of all, we all moved to where that guy was on your radio show just before me. But to be serious, shortly before Trump's first administration finished, Trump 45, he mandated a study to be done by DOD, DOE, and others as to what to do with our infrastructure regarding EMP and also serious cyber attacks.
Well, guess who canceled that study the day after he became president? Biden.
So we lost four years there, in which we're building Green New Deal and other such things, which are not defendable. We need, first of all, what I would call a storm shield, back to Reagan's old 1980s. Star Wars. Absolutely.
It was kind of crazy 40 years ago. It's easily done now. And that is to take down an enemy attack before it hits us. because EMP is a first-strike weapon. They do it 30 minutes after they launch, they've basically won the war.
We have to prevent that from happening. And then hardening the infrastructure, getting emergency equipment in hand, stockpiled, all of that. And that's what we should be doing. You know, the Rust Belt of America should be turned back into manufacturing serious electrical components, 21st century components to repair the grid because one other thing DOE pointed out the average component in our electrical grid is 30 to 40 years old we're pumping our electricity and in 1980s system and I just heard our Trump just an hour ago was saying we need to double our electrical capacity that is a laudable goal I hope we go for it you know it's it's fascinating you know hearing, you know, what could happen. I own the Newstalk radio station in Memphis, and it's so funny.
I know my chief engineer at the time, I think he had to laugh at me because I'd be sending him these messages.
Okay, you know, what do we need to do to stay, you know, on air in the event we have an EMP attack or, you know, a nuclear attack? But there are some things you can do to protect, you know, some of your technology from that. But the reality is it doesn't matter if the grid's gone, the grid's gone. you know i i had the character in my recall at the end of one second after my main character talking with an army officer who says yeah it was north korea did us but we flattened them to which my main character responds does that change anything for us we're all dead anyhow so we have to think outside the box for a little bit to prevent something like this before it happens, be it nuclear, major cyber attacks, even physical attacks on key substations can short off parts of the power group for days, even for weeks. We're wide open.
That's why we have an administration now that's starting to do something about it. And that really was a big concern with all of these drones that were flying all over New Jersey and, you know, in some of these very sensitive areas. And a lot of people were afraid that that's what that could be. I mean, the ability to attack the grid is a lot easier, I would say, now. Would you agree with that?
There's a substation about 200 yards from my house. I could go out there on any dark and stormy night with a high-power rifle, and in 10 minutes I would short off a good portion of eastern Bunton County. It would take days. In fact, it's been done several times. You might recall an incident about a year or two back where somebody shot a power station and it took that area off the grid for three weeks.
Imagine a coordinated attack or attack the grid. It's just amazing to think about those things. But at the same time, I do wonder if just regular American citizens should be looking at, okay, well, maybe we aren't too dependable on technology. Maybe there are some things we ought to be doing to prepare ourselves in the event, God forbid, something like this happens. Yeah, you know, okay, I'm just outside Asheville, North Carolina.
So you know what I want for on September 27th. Yeah. I watched Western North Carolina go down five months, five months to the day now. Parts of it are just still look like the war zone. every American citizen should be stopped.
You know, I'm not talking about crazy survivalists. You know, I'm going to get a 10-year-old worth of supplies. Get a month or two of emergency supplies in. That can go a far distance towards humiliating some of the problems you would face. For one thing, you wouldn't be out on the street with 10,000 other people going to McDonald's to beg to try and get your cell phone charged back up.
But it's common sense. Our grandparents, great-grandparents had it. We need to get that idea back with us.
Well, it's great intel. Do you have, like, a website you want to direct people to to get all your intel information? I mean, you're just a wealth of knowledge. And by the way, you're a great writer. Love your books.
Well, thank you. I do appreciate it. But, you know, after writing four books on the issue of EMT, I'm done. My next book's going to be called Happy Bunny Goes to Town. I love happy bunnies.
I love happy bunnies. Who doesn't love a happy bunny? I need to do something very uplifting and positive because, one, you immerse yourself into this, and that's spending for 20 years reading the reports, following up. There's a lot of two-in-the-morning conversations with a good friend who's also in this field, and it's just like, how do we keep them going crazy? It's so evident, the threats we face, it's so evident we're not addressing them, at least until January 20th of this year where we might finally be addressing them.
But regarding the books and such, OneSecondAfter.com, or you can always get books at Amazon and other such places. Let's go to OneSecondAfter.com, folks, and you're going to be able to read all of his books. William, we really appreciate you spending some time with us, and I know we'd love to have you back on sometime soon, and maybe we can talk about Happy Bunny. Yes, absolutely. All right.
All right, thank you again. All right, Dr. William Forston, ladies and gentlemen, from Montreat College, and he really gives you something to think about. You know, what would you do if the lights went out and they didn't come back on? 901-260-5926, our telephone number.

Joe is listening to us on WTUN. Hey, Joe, what's going on? Hey, Todd, I tell you what, I'm just scared to death. i uh i read 10 uh one second after several years ago and uh always knew about emp but after reading that and just realizing that you know that's within the grasp of our weakest enemies to do something like that if we're just not you know forever vigilant against it joe it's that book just really changed the way i thought about a lot of things and it does it does make you wonder okay what would happen you know if if i can't go to the grocery store anymore or there is no more gasoline you don't have a car um you know it takes us back to the the 19th century is what it does i think what a lot of americans forget is one of the things that makes america great is our logistics system you know that you know you can have lobster from maine and pineapple from uh hawaii in the same meal uh and you know just when you get this uh the one second after the emp with no no fuel and no vehicles just everything shuts down and you know we're gonna party like it's a 1799 well you know that's a very good point i said 19th century it may be 18th century yeah really but the place you don't want to be is in an urban center you want to be in you know in the country, in a small town or community. And if you remember reading the book, you know, they actually set up militias to make sure that people, you know, did not invade their little communities, or in this case, the college.
I remember, I think in that book, they prescribed, I think, a 95% casualty rate to, like, the metro areas. And there's just no water. That's why I'm proud to have my well. You see, that's it. and as self-sufficient as you could possibly be, that's the way to do it.
Exactly. That's the way to do it. Good work, Todd. Hey, Joe, appreciate it, and be good down in Claremont, Georgia. Great place.

You know what I'll miss is Buc-ee's. I'll miss the Buc-ee's. Oh, well. We just got to make sure that doesn't happen. And President Trump is going to do that, ladies and gentlemen, which is why the president wants to invest so much into our infrastructure, which the Democrats have really allowed to crumble right before our very eyes.
I mean, here in Memphis, for example, the wind blows, thousands of people lose power. It's just the craziest thing I've ever, I've never seen that before. But that, The infrastructure is just so old, and nobody really wants to do anything about it. All right. Got to leave it there, ladies and gentlemen.
Been a lot of fun today. Coming up, Tom Tiffany, Judge Joe Brown, Congressman Pete Sessions, some of my special guests on the Todd Stern Show on Newsmax. That's tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern. Watch it on Newsmax.com, folks. Get out there.
Have a great day. Enjoy America. And be good, everybody. Jesus.
