Our daughter Jessie loves playing detective. A clue. But since we discovered she has sensitive skin, we've been playing detective too. We thought the problem was our puppy. But it was actually our old detergent.

Aha.

So we switched to Tide Free and Gentle. Tide Cleans better than the leading competitive free detergent, and it doesn't leave behind irritating residues. Plus, Tide Free and Gentle has no dyes or perfumes, so it's gentle on her skin. Case closed. If it's got to be clean, it's got to be tide-free and gentle.

Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. That's right. I love this American ride. All right. Hello, everybody.

Welcome to the Todd Cerns Radio Program, your voice of truth and hope across this great nation we call America. Wow, we have a lot to get through today, and I told you it's going to be fast and furious as President Trump fills up his administration and his cabinet. We will bring you any sort of breaking news as it happens on the program today. If you would like to call in and be a part of the program today, all you need to do is write down our telephone number: 901-260-5926.

So, I want to talk about for just a moment math dates.

So You know, I don't like to start out the show as a negative Nancy. And it's really not negative. It's just I'm a little conflicted here about Matt Gaetz. Look, if President Trump believes that Matt Gaetz is the best guy for the job, then Matt Gates is the best guy for the job. And that really should be the end of the story.

However, I am very curious about the The allegations surrounding Matt Gates, these allegations have been repeated by a number of members of Congress, and they're very bad. And keep in mind that's all they are.

Now we know that Gates has officially resigned from Congress, and he did so a couple of days before the investigation was going to be released.

So the House Ethics Committee, they've been investigating all of this, and there are allegations of sexual misconduct. All right, and I don't want to get into the, it's ugly, and it's not good.

Now Matt Gates has made a lot of enemies up on Capitol Hill. No doubt about it. But there are a lot of people that are sounding alarm bells that gates Um May not be able to make it through the confirmation process. Yeah.

Now, I'm just going to tell you my one Matt Gaetz story. This will sort of sum up who Matt Gaetz is. Matt Gaetz is really all about himself. That's who he is. That's his shtick.

He, I. Believe he's a supporter of President Trump. He says he's a supporter of President Trump, so I'll believe that he's a supporter of President Trump. But a couple of years ago, I was giving a speech at CPAC. And uh the beautiful lovely uh former executive producer of this radio program, Grace Baker, was in the green room with a lot of other folks, and she just happened to be standing next to Matt Gaetz.

As Matt Gaetz was watching my speech on On the monitor. And he just yells out to anybody who could hear, Oh, yeah, that's Starnes. He just got fired from Fox. What's he up on that stage for? And everybody was kind of like looking around, like, what?

Because we've been very good at Matt Dates. He's been on this show a number of times, and we've never said anything ill about him. Anything untoward, but that's just kind of who he is. You know, he attacks everybody. And he doesn't care who you are, but he will attack you.

And that's just kind of his I guess that's his DNA. But The other part of this, and this is the overriding and overarching factor in all of this for me, is that Donald Trump wants Matt Gates, for whatever reason, to be his attorney general. And the response from the deep state has been so horrifying, it's been like a nuclear apocalypse. And I kind of like that. Do I believe all of these allegations out there?

I don't know. They're allegations. And it does seem to me. That if you're out there and you're accused of doing the sort of heinous things that Matt Gates is accused of doing, and by the way, repeated. By members of Congress, which by the way would be slander.

If turned out not to be true. These allegations would, in fact, be disqualifying for public office.

So now you have a situation where a number, and I do mean a number, of Senate Republicans are saying they're not going to be supporting. Mad Gates.

So I'm curious today. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. What do you think about the selection? Do you believe that Matt Gates is the right guy to be the Attorney General of these great United States?

Now I'm going to say this. And hear me on this All of these Republicans who are coming out opposed to Matt Gates actually voted for Merritt Garland. And we're going to go through the list of senators. I know you folks in Maine, Susan Collins is on that list. She's not going to support Matt Gates.

You folks in North Carolina, Tom Tullis. Alaska, Lisa Murkowski. Lindsey Graham in South Carolina. Good golly. That guy, I'm telling you, one of the most worthless members of Congress out there is Senator Lindsey Graham.

So This is going to be interesting. This will be the first test of whether or not. Trump will be able to get through all of his nominees. Also, we're hearing word that even Pete Hagseth may be in the crosshairs. And all of this stems from one very important fact: the Republicans, a majority of the Republicans serving in the U.S.

Senate, are not America first conservatives. They don't support MAGA. They're old school Senate Republicans.

So, the allegation that the House was looking into, and by the way, that now officially goes away. As soon as Matt Gates. As soon as he resigned, Boom, the investigation goes away. We will theoretically never see the results of that. And I got a problem with that.

Are tax money being used to investigate somebody? And you know what? And maybe this is a question that you can do you want to know whether or not Matt Gates was allegedly sleeping with a 17-year-old? Is that important for you to know? Here's CNN last night, Caitlin Collins, cut number one, please.

Does the House Ethics Investigation give you any pause on how you may vote on this? I have not paid attention to this until just this evening when I heard about it. I'm not familiar with the House Ethics Investigation, except that there must be something underway. Yeah, but does it give you any pause? I think everybody wants to see the entirety of the facts come forward as somebody goes through confirmation.

I've gone through confirmation myself. I've also gone through Democrat resistance. I was held for 30 hours of floor time to go through this. They filibustered me.

So, anyway, we've got to go through the process here. That's the story. All right. So that was Bill Haggerty, the Senator from Tennessee, on last night, CNN.

Now, Trey Gowdy, the Fox News host, and he served in Congress with Gates. Gowdy, the former congressman from South Carolina, here's what he has to and again, these are all Republicans talking about Matt Gates, cut number twelve. The more you get to know Pete Hexeth and Tulsi Gabbert, the more you're going to like her. The more you get to know Matt Gates, the less you're going to like him. I'm going to be really surprised if he can get confirmed.

Right. And so would I, especially after we blew up Kevin McCarthy. I had no plan B. And speaking of Kevin McCarthy, and by the way, it's not that they hate each other, they hate each other. It is ugly.

Ugly. Here is the former House Speaker, Cut 13. Choices are very good, except one. Look. Gates won't get Confirmed, everybody knows that.

But when you look at Arubio, just the knowledge that he has, being in the Intel Committee, I was on the Gang of Eight, and his understanding, even when you listen to the other side of the aisle, they say, He'll make a great Secretary of State.

So that's strong from a waltz, just as background from a Green Beret and others being there. But John Radcliffe at CIA, former DNI, that's very strong. And the difference is to what was eight years ago today. President Trump understands the job. He knows the people that he needs around him to get there.

And I think he's going to be much better prepared, because he only has one term. But he'll hit the ground running this time. You say Gates will not be confirmed. Why bother with the nomination then? You can talk to the president, but it's a good deflection from others, but it also gives.

I'll I'll let it stand with that. All right, so there you go. That's McCarthy. And Mark Wayne Mullins was out there saying, oh, everybody knows that he's a very bad per I'm not going to repeat everything he said, but it was really nasty stuff. And it's sort of shocking when you see the Republicans talking about one of their own like that.

Now, President Trump says that Gates is going to root out systemic corruption in the Justice Department and return the Department to its true mission of fighting crime and upholding our democracy and Constitution. I get that. But what is the bigger play here? Because if Gates is not able to get through Then the confirmation process. Then he's out.

He's done. He's gone because he's already resigned from Congress.

So this is a very curious pick. But Trump has Trump has an agenda. There's a reason why he wanted specifically Matt Gaetz. And Matt Gaetz has nothing to lose here.

So and that could be the play. Is that Gates is going to go in there and he's going to blow everything up? And maybe that's the play. Let's go to Mike in West Tennessee. All right, Mike, what say you?

Is this a good choice? Excellent choice. Greetings, Todd. you nailed it when you said all those senators who confirm Merritt Garland, you need to post that list and people need to realize This is part and partial the people that are allowing the deep state to Perpetuate the crimes against we, the people. One thing about it: who would you rather have as a prosecutor?

Somebody who just shows a fork is there to get a paycheck and really doesn't care about the issues. Or somebody whose ox has been gored who wants to have accountability. You need people like Matt Gates. And me. That don't care about the pay, that don't care about the long hours, they care about accountability.

And we'll get things done.

So so Mike, and here's my take on this, and I want everybody to hear because I know we've got a lot of these uh liberal bloggers and they listen to us um in their mothers' basements, uh the guys with the bad skin condition and the um The fingers, the fingertips stained by funny. I get that. Um here's the thing. If those allegations are true, if he really was tr s involved in sex trafficking, then he needs to spend the rest of his life in jail. If he was doing that with underage girls, he needs to pay a price for that.

Can we all agree? Mike, I suspect you would agree with that as well. Yes, no doubt. This has been going on for, what, two years now? It doesn't take that long to figure out if the allegations are true or not.

And the fact of the matter is, they haven't been able to get to the bottom of anything. At all. And that tells me that it could be a bunch of nothing. But again, I just want everybody to understand here. These are very serious allegations.

But this could have been cleared up a long time ago. And so now you wonder, all right, are the Republicans, are they actually playing the same game the Democrats are? By the way, I want to share this bit of news. Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Mike, just announced that he knows, get this, five to ten Republicans who will not confirm Matt Gates as Attorney General. That's fine.

We need to know who those senators are and find out if they supported Merrick Garland. And that's the support of the deep state. Merrick Garland is a communist. And those senators that support Merrick Garland, they're either too ignorant to know who he is Or they support his agenda. That 1,000%.

1,000%. All right, Mike, appreciate the call. Folks, we're going to open this up. Again, the breaking news here: Senator Richard Blumenthal, the Democrat from Connecticut, says he knows of as many as 10 Republican senators who will not vote to confirm Matt Gates as Attorney General. And look, I think it's fair.

Let me ask you this. And we'll throw this out there. The investigation's been done. All right. But because Matt Gates resigned from Congress, we will not be able to see the results of that investigation.

Do you believe it is fair? During the confirmation process, that the Senate Republicans make that information public. Don't we have a right to know whether or not Matt Gates did or did not do what he's accused of doing? 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.

And ladies and gentlemen, we have even more breaking news. Breaking news now on the Todd Starn Show. And the Todd Stern Show can now confirm that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has officially removed her preferred pronouns from her Instagram and Twitter feeds. I repeat, ladies and gentlemen, the preferred pronouns have now been removed. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

is a woman. We'll be right back, America. Folks, hang on tight because we're heading into one of the most critical elections this nation's ever seen. And let's be honest, there's no guarantee it's going to go your way. We've already seen how far the radical left will go to push their agenda.

If Kamala Harris takes the White House, you can expect more government control, higher taxes, and a full-blown assault on your freedoms. The stakes could not be higher, and you need to make it a priority to shield yourself. Gold is already up 21% this year and still climbing. This is your golden opportunity to fortify your savings. And my friends at Priority Gold, with over two decades of experience and thousands of five-star reviews, will send you a free gold investor guide. Priority Gold makes it easy to diversify into physical gold. All right, folks. Welcome back to the Tom Stearns Radio Show. This is all very simple.

I don't know why the Republicans always complicate stuff.

So, look, here's the deal: we need to release the findings of the taxpayer-funded House investigation. Into Matt Gaetz, right? We paid for it. We deserve to see it. If Matt Gaetz is guilty of any crimes, he should face the full force of the justice system.

Can we agree on that? If he is not guilty, then he should be confirmed with unanimous support from Senate Republicans, and any Republican who does not vote to confirm should immediately be primaried.

Now, last night on Newsmax, I had Corey Lewandowski on the show, and Lewandowski was pretty adamant about all of this. He said. That Senate Majority Leader John Thune. Better be careful. And he said that Jon Thune better buckle up.

and find himself a spine. And Follow through on President Trump's agenda. And again, I contend any Republican in the U.S. Senate that does not. Stand up and fight for Trump's agenda every single day should be primaried.

It really is that simple to me, folks. There is no gray. It is black. It is white. You are either for Trump or you are against him.

There is no wiggle room. Not going down this not going down this path anymore. Never again. And all of you folks out there, and we will be publishing the list of all the Republican senators who voted for Merrick Garland. And that's the other thing.

If you're a Republican and you're voting for Communist Merrick Garland, Then by golly, you better be voting for Matt Gates and supporting him. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926. Now coming up, We're going to be talking to Shelly Luther. This is going to be a fun conversation.

She is the Dallas salon owner. You might remember they threw her in jail during the China virus pandemic and the lockdowns because she opened up her beauty shop. She just won. a State House seat in the Texas legislature.

So we're going to be talking to her. She's going to be a brand new member of the State House down there in Texas. Also, you folks in Wichita, this is insane. You guys are spending a quarter of a million dollars per portable toilet. That's right.

The city of Wichita is spending your tax money on Portajohn's that cost more than the average house In Wichita, Kansas.

So we're going to be talking to Dalton Glasgow. He was one of the brave council people that actually voted against this nonsense. And a little bit later on, Bill Main from WDUN is going to be here. A 10-year-old boy was walking alone around town. It is an old country town in North Georgia, and the mom.

was arrested. What for neglect? Jeez a little. We're going to talk to Bill Main about that a little bit later on. Also, folks, not too long ago, I sat down with President-elect Trump.

We had a long-form conversation about the country and about the future of America. And that conversation became really the focus of my new book, Twilight's Last Gleaming. Can America Be Saved? And the President-elect and I both agree, yes, America can be saved. And in the book, I show you how the President's agenda is about to fundamentally transform our nation back to the intent of our founding fathers.

And I want to encourage you to get a copy of the book. You can buy it at your favorite bookstore, Amazon, you name it. Also, I am personalizing copies of Twilight's Last Gleaming and our daily biscuit over at ToddSterns.com.

So if you'd like to order through our store, I'll be happy to personalize those just in time for Christmas. And I can tell you, that biscuit book makes a terrific stacking stuffer. All right, we got to take a break here. A lot more going on, including Monkey's Smoking Myth. At Ol' Miss.

What's up with that? We'll be right back. The story of MyPillow is a testament to faith and transformation. Mike Lindelt, once battling addiction, found a new path when he embraced faith and began following Jesus. In gratitude, Mike is excited to share an exclusive offer with our listeners.

They are Heading up the Department of Government Efficiency. And I do have a question here, folks. This is very confusing to me. They're calling it, they're using the acronym D-O-G-E, and I've heard it pronounced two different ways. Is it Doge?

Or is it Dodge? It's sort of like that little digital icon thingy.

Some people call it a GIF, and others call it GIF, which is also peanut butter.

So it's all very confusing.

So I don't know. I think we're still working on the phonetics here, but I think it's Doge. That's what I've been hearing. Dylan is giving me a thumbs up. It is, in fact, Doge.

So we're making it official here on the Dodge Darts Radio program. All right. So anyway, they're going to be cutting at least $2 trillion in federal spending.

Now. I'm curious. We're going to be creating a list here on the program, but first and foremost, I believe that we need to be abolishing The Department of Education. Agree or disagree with that, ladies and gentlemen. Let's return control of our schools to.

to the state and local level. Get the Federal Government out of all of that nonsense. And the way I see it We now have a generation of children that have been raised in these federally funded federal government schools. And these children cannot write cursive. Many of them can't even write their names.

And we know that because there was one, was it one state, was it Colorado where they were having a problem verifying signatures because the young Gen Z voters don't know how to write their names. And look, I don't blame them. It's not their fault. You got to teach that stuff. And the kids can't even write cursive anymore.

But not only that, have you gone down to the Walmart? Let me ask you, I know some of you still use cash.

So you're in the line at the Walmart, and you give your money to the cashier, and you pray to Almighty God that it's like whatever you're buying costs like to. Twelve dollars as opposed to say twelve dollars and thirty-one cents because then The cashier, their face just, I don't know, have you seen this? It just glazes over. They don't know what to do. Because they don't know how to make change.

How do you not know how to make change? How do you not know how to write your name and curse them? What are they doing to our country, America? And don't even get me started on Driver's Ed. I nearly had four car accidents.

I only live five miles away from our beautiful huge palatial News Bunker, and I nearly had five car accidents. Unbelievable. They're not even teaching kids how to drive anymore. What are they doing? Just giving kids the the keys to the car?

That's not how we did things back in the 1980s. I'm telling you. By the way, I have to tell you about Miss Robiski. I'm getting off on a tangent, I know. May I tell you about Miss Robiski?

I love this woman. She was our. She was our health instructor at the high school, and she was also in charge of Driver's Ed. Oh, and she also coached the Girls softball team. I wouldn't read anything into that.

Anyway, Ms. Robisky, she was a lifelong bachelorette. And she did a great job teaching. I think she taught an entire town of children how to drive their vehicle. And so when I was, I guess in junior high school, my dad got transferred down to Louisiana, right outside of the New Orleans area.

And our parish, they don't call them counties in Louisiana, and you folks in Lafayette on KROF, you know all about this, but they don't have counties in Louisiana, they have parishes. And no, Dylan, I don't know why, but I'm sure someone from Louisiana will call in and tell us why they have parishes instead of counties. But anyway, the Mississippi River literally split our parish in half.

So if you wanted to get from one side of the river to the next side of the river, you had to take a ferry boat. And that was just the way things were in St. John the Baptist parish, which is where we lived. And so anyway, as part of our driver's ed, we had to. We had to learn how to drive onto and off of a ferry boat.

That was part of the assignment. And if you could imagine being a 15, I think we were taking, we were 15 years old when we took drive. Dylan, how old? Yeah, Dylan, turn your mic away. How old were you when you got your driver's license?

16. All right, yeah, that's about right. 17, maybe 17. The permits first, then the license. We got our permits at 14 back in the day.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, you know, 15, you get your license. And so, anyway, and I was driving your great-grandfather's. I inherited the El Camino pickup truck with the sparkly baby blue paint. That's a popular car now, Todd.

It it was a sweet ride at the time too. I'm telling you, I pull into the parking lot of the high school and heads turned.

So, anyway, um, I had to take driver's ed. Wow, I am so far. I'm not even anywhere near close to what we should be talking about, but bear with me.

So, anyway, I had to take driver's in, and here's how it went: Miss Robisky. And um she's a great lady and uh but she had a really she had an affinity For The Popeyes Fried Chicken She loved her a three-piece spicy. I mean, that was her jam. How do I know that? Because every day in driver's ed and here's how it worked.

You would always have miss you would have the driver's ed teacher and she would be on the passenger side, then you have the student driver, and then there'd be two other students in the back, right? And then we would rotate out who got to drive. Every single day We would go buy the Popeye's fry chicken drive-thru. The first thing I learned about driving was how to maneuver through a Popeye's fried chicken drive-thru. Every single day.

Okay. Hey, it's good chicken. What are you going to do?

So then we had to learn how to, we had to learn how to get on the, and again, we had levees.

So you have to drive up the levee, down the levee, onto the ramp, onto the ferry boat. And if you miss, well, you die because you're in the river and they can't pull you out because of the current being so strong. I mean, in all seriousness, you fall into the river, 10 minutes later, you're passing New Orleans. It's a fast moving river. Yeah.

But anyway, all that to say, we learned life lessons, right? We learned what radio stations to listen to. We learned how to order a three piece spicy with an extra biscuit. Red beans and rice and slaw. We learned all of that.

I don't think they're teaching kids diddly squat these days, which is why we need to return. See how I wove that word with that? We need to return. our local control of schools back to the local community.

So Elon Musk is in charge of all this now. And he and Vivek Ramaswamy, and their job is just to go through, and they're not going to have that big of a problem here.

So, let me give you an example of how they're spending your hard-earned money. All right, here we go. Do we really need to be spending more than $15 million to determine if lobotomized Russian cats can still walk on a treadmill? Do we really, ladies and gentlemen? I want you to think about that.

Me yet. What about the hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent right now by a Florida lab? to study transgender monkeys.

Now, I asked this because I thought they were born that way.

So, what the monkeys are born that way, but they're not. They're actually injecting. Dude monkeys What are they called the male monkeys? Monkey? What do they call the female monkey?

Oh, they call them monkeys. Monkeyettes.

So they're injecting the monkeys, the male monkeys, with female hormones. Or not hormones. What are they? Yep, wheat, female hormones. And so basically, they're turning the monkeys into transgender monkeys.

And again, I thought the whole point of the LGBT movement in the monkey world was they're born that way.

Meanwhile, the University of Mississippi, old miss. They're spending twelve million dollars to get monkeys high on meth.

Now, I just want to throw this out there because there was an incident a couple of days ago in South Carolina. Where you had 40 some odd monkeys that got loose. They broke out of some sort of a research lab and caused mayhem across the Palmetto State. Yeah.

My concern those monkeys were not high on meth. They just wanted to get out of there. What happens, God forbid, you're at Ole Miss and let's just say we got the Eggbowl coming up. You've got Mississippi State and Ole Miss and they're playing football, and all of a sudden you've got these monkeys running onto the field high on meth. That's not going to go over well.

We're spending $20,000 for drag shows south of the border. And I don't mean that in a naughty way. I'm just, it's an Ecuador.

South of the border. $38.7 million to hire diversity, equity and inclusion staffers.

So, ladies and gentlemen. This is going to be a transformational presidency. Understand that. A transformational presidency, ladies and gentlemen. What's about to happen here?

It is going to be unlike anything we have ever seen in American history. This is truly going to be a revolution. I know we call it the Reagan Revolution. No, no, no, no, no. This is going to pale in comparison.

Donald J. Trump is going to fundamentally restore. What Barack Hussein Obama and the deep state transformed over these past twelve years. It is going to be an amazing thing. 901-260-5926 is our telephone number.

So. Ezra Klein. The, this is great. Ezra Clyde's one of these far lefties, and he's now had a come to Donald moment. Cut number 10, please.

I. Come from outside Los Angeles. I lived in San Francisco until 18 months ago, and I live in New York City. The thing that surprised me least about the election was the sharp red shift. In these big cities, because if you just talk to anybody who lives in them, they are furious.

And this idea that, like, oh no, the economy is actually good, or crime is actually down, this is all just Fox News, like, shut up. with that. Like talk to some people who live near you. The rage I just hear from people in New York, this is partially Greg Abbott bussing huge amounts of migrants here. But that does mean, by the way, there are enough migrants that Greg Abbott could bus actual human bodies to New York City.

And it was a big enough problem that New York City was not able to effectively deal with it, right? It does show that what was going on on the border was much worse. I think the Democrats were letting themselves accept. For all the cruelty of what Abbott did there, that was not like an ad campaign. Those were like actual people who had come into the country who were overwhelming border states.

The sense of disorder rising, right? Not just crime, but homeless encampments, trash on the streets, people jumping turnstiles and subways, crazy people on the streets. You just talk to people and they're mad about it. They feel it's different than it used to be. I mean, in San Francisco, like the fury is overwhelming.

And you see that it's not just the presidential level. London Breed, the SF mayor, just lost reelection. In Oakland, they recalled the mayor. A bunch of the progressive DAs across the country were recalled or beaten in re-election campaigns. If Eric Adams has a lot of problems, but if he were obviously on the ballot, he would almost certainly, it seems to me, lose.

You have to be able to govern well. People don't follow politics, but they live in the place they live.

Well, I'm wow, I'm glad he's had an awakening there. Good for you, Ezra. My question is, will this actually change the way Ezra Klein votes? Will it change his positions on any of the issues? And I don't think it is.

Do you really think the Democrats have learned their lesson here? Do you think they've understood from the error of the ways I I know AOC has now removed her preferred pronouns, but I would contend that maybe the biggest losers here would be the transgender movement. This idea that somehow God made a mistake and you get to determine what sex you are. No, you that's insanity. Just sheer insanity.

And I suspect that's going to be the biggest loser.

Now here's this is where it's going to be a lot of fun, and we cover this a lot on our website, ToddSterns.com. These school teachers That have been hired. And again, this goes back to abolishing the Department of Education, but you've got a lot of public schools that are infested. with these woke school teachers that have turned their classrooms into these radical indoctrination centers. And the challenge is, you may not even be aware that your kid is being radicalized.

Until Thanksgiving comes around, and then you realize: holy crap. Crap. Why is, you know, why is little Billy wearing a dress to Thanksgiving dinner? That's why you've got to pay attention here, folks. Oh, by the way, uh Don Le Monde Don Lamon has announced that he is leaving X.

Remember him? He's that guy. He always had a little stick up, the Wazoo, over at CNN. Take a listen. Hi everyone.

I have loved connecting with all of you on Twitter and then on X for all of these years. But it's time for me to leave the platform. Oh yeah? I once believed that it was a place for honest debate and discussion. Transparency and free speech.

But I now feel it does not serve that purpose. In addition, starting this Friday, November 15th, X is implementing new terms of service, which, among other things, states that, quote, all disputes be brought exclusively in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or state courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, end quote. The full terms of service can be found on my written statement or on the X website.

Now, as the Washington Post recently reported on X's decision to change the terms, this, quote, ensures that such lawsuits will be heard in courthouses that are a hub for conservatives, which experts say could make it easier for X to shield itself from litigation and punish critics. I think that speaks for itself. Uh Little Don still has a stick up his wazoo.

Well, anyway, uh, Don, best of luck to you, my friend, wherever you uh end up going. But I'm loving X right now. I don't know if you guys follow me on X. I'm at Todd Starns. I've got the blue check mark-y thing.

We have a lot of fun, and we have grown. You know, when I left Fox, we had about 100,000 or so X followers.

Now we're over almost 265,000.

So it's a huge community. It's a lot of fun. And my team also says we get a lot of traffic, a lot of play over on my LinkedIn page. And LinkedIn is pretty good because they really don't censor you as much as Facebook does.

So, all told, we've got a little over a million or so people on our social media platforms. We love hanging out with all of you guys. All right, folks, coming up, we're going to be talking to Shelly Luther. She is a former salon owner in Dallas. She got arrested during COVID, and she is now an official elected lawmaker.

In Texas.

So, we're going to be talking to her. Also, want to share with you this note about. About our good friend Dennis Prager, he has been a guest on this program. And just want to share an update with you that Dennis. Was injured in an accident at home.

He fell. And uh he is got seriously injured. And he's dealing with a very serious back injury. He is at a hospital in Los Angeles, and the doctors are working with him. And so he's going to be out of commission for a little while.

So, certainly, I would covet your prayers for Dennis and his family. And let's just pray that Dennis gets back up on his feet pretty quickly here. But he is in pretty significant need of prayer. And that's something that I know this audience does so very well. Also, folks, I want to give you an update.

Yesterday, we told you we were trying to raise, I think, $7,500. That was the dollar amount that we were trying to raise to buy or to create a store, a toy store for low-income families. And during this three-hour radio program, you guys raised over $12,500. That number will definitely go up. It was just a one-day event.

But if you still want to give, you can do that by going to ToddSterns.com and you'll see the story where you can give. But God bless you. You opened up your hearts and your pocketbooks. And as a result of that, I know the Landers Nissan car dealership, they're throwing in $7,500 as well.

So we're going to be able to buy a lot of toys for a lot of kids. And you're going to make a lot of people have a very Merry Christmas. All right, hour two of the big show coming up next. I don't really like I'm gonna need a priority parking space. Work remotely.

How are your safe spaces? Can I bring my dog to work? Will your company protect me against microaggressions? You're jiggling me. Is this interview almost over?

You don't run a daycare, you run a business.

So, why use high-priced recruitment agencies who charge you up to 40% of an employee's first-year salary?

So, they're focused on getting you the costly talent, not the best fit, which means you get more of this. What's your policy on paying employees to attend protests? I demand eight weeks of vacation. I need at least 12 weeks of paid vacation. I'm gonna need a lot of mental health days.

Do you have a gay room? My pronouns are Z's and Zer. Isn't it time you hired grown-ups? Call RedBalloon.work and skip those high-priced recruitment agencies. Call 833-880-0600 for a free consultation.

That's 833-880-0600 for a free consultation. Redballoon.work. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's conservative blowtorch. See ya. That's right.

I love this American ride. Todd Starns. Yes, it is I, ladies and gentlemen, Todd Starnes, your voice of hope and truth from border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plain. Welcome to hour two of the big show. Great to have you with us.

And as promised, we have a jam-packed hour for you. We told you, wow, this goes back. I didn't realize it was this long ago, but back in the early days of the China virus pandemic, when the government was cracking down on all of you good Christian people out there, you small business owners, a lady by the name of Shelly Luther. She operated a salon in the Dallas area. And she was jailed because she refused to shut down her business during these government mandatory government mandated lockdowns.

She was ordered to jail for seven days back in twenty twenty. She was uh accused of uh civil and criminal contempt of court.

Well, the good news here is that Shelly Luther was a great American patriot. She stood her ground, and now she is the newest member of the Texas state legislature. And she is on our Patriot mobile newsmaker line today. Shelly, congratulations. Good to have you with us.

Thank you. Thanks for having me.

Well, I want to go back in time a little bit, Shelly, and tell us about the moment that you decided, you know what, I'm not going to obey the government.

Well, I mean, we actually shut down for a month like everybody else because we didn't know what it was. And then after about a month, one of my hairstylists called me and said, I don't mean to freak you out or anything, but I haven't eaten in two days because I'm just trying to make sure my kids are getting fed, and I don't know what to do. And so my husband and I prayed about it. And we woke up the next day and I had this overwhelming feeling of just open the salon, I will protect you. And from that, we just went forward from that point.

And so you're doing what you're doing, and then what happens? Law enforcement shows up. They do. All of these city officials, the police were there. And they said that they couldn't tell me to shut down, but they kept asking me to shut down.

And I'm like, well, I'm definitely not going to shut down. We're open. We're open for business. We actually had a line that was out the door. You couldn't even see the end of it.

It was so long. from all of these people coming to appreciate us, honestly, for opening against the shutdown. This it really is an amazing story. And so from there, you decide to run for the State House. But before we get to that, Shelly, I saw some pictures on your social media.

And I had no idea that you had a major health crisis. I did. About a year and a half ago, I had a major brain aneurysm. The carotid artery in my head exploded. And I actually was in ICU for twenty six days and did speech and physical therapy.

And then within a couple of months of that, filed for office and ran a campaign and won.

Okay, what kind of person does that, Shelley? I mean, you should be recuperating, not running for office. No. You know, it was actually we had to run three times to win this seat. It was my third time to run because I was just relentless and I knew, honestly, that's what God wanted me to do, and I wasn't going to give up.

And so while sitting around kind of feeling sorry for myself after the brain aneurysm, I was just like, you know what, I'm going to get up, dust myself off. and do what I was supposed to do, and we decided to do it and we won. And not only did you win, it was not even close. My understanding is you got, what, 75% of the vote? That's a massive landslide.

We did. We it was overwhelming on our side. We're very appreciative of that for sure. Shelley, and of course we also need to mention Governor Greg Abbott because he played a role, and he personally intervened to get you out of jail. Is that right?

It was actually the Texas Supreme Court that got me out of jail. I had a seven-day sentence, and then about three days in, the Supreme Court. answered something from my attorney called a writ of habeas corpus. And basically told the judge that they had to release me at that moment. Shelly, let's go back in time before the pandemic.

Were you very involved in politics? Not at all. I voted I voted for the President in some of the elections. But it was definitely a rude awakening for me. To even think that anyone in the government can just shut you down when you're running your small business.

And honestly, the picking of winners and losers. In a situation like that, the dog groomer next door to my salon was deemed essential. Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, all essential. You could get Botox, then an abortion, all of these different things. you couldn't get your hair cut by a licensed professional that has tons of sanitation training.

It made no sense. And you could go to, if you wanted to go to, I don't know, a casino. If you wanted to go to a liquor store, you could do that, but you couldn't go to church. It made no sense. Exactly.

And that that's when it, you know, it started dawning on me, like somebody's got to do something. And in my head, I kept saying, somebody.

Somebody's gotta do something. And then when I got that phone call from the hairstylist, I'm like, oh, wait.

somebody's me.

So we just did it. Shelly, you're about to become the newest member of the State House there in Texas. What are some of the big things on your agenda as a new lawmaker?

Well, number one, we've got to make sure we close down our border. That's affecting the whole nation. everybody coming through, especially through Texas.

So I'm glad that President Trump is there. That's going to really help us close down that border. It's affecting our schools, it's affecting our finances. And so like everything is so expensive right now because of the the Biden re regime, but it also has to do with all of the illegal aliens that are coming into our country. And um us basically welcome them well welcoming them here because we're giving them whatever they need to survive.

I'm 1,000 percent with you there, and I have to imagine that a lot of these issues are now going to be decided. At the state level, and I have to also imagine that President Trump's America First Agenda, does that play big into how you are going to be a member of the legislature? Absolutely. We've got to create the laws to make sure that Texas can protect itself. along with with President Trump.

And with his new border czar, who's actually amazing. It will actually give the officials that are there on the border the ability to do their job. Right now, they're not able to do it. Shelly Luther is joining us, folks. She's a Dallas salon owner jailed during the China virus back in 2020.

She fought back.

Now she is a brand new state lawmaker representing House District 62. Shelly, another big issue that state lawmakers are dealing with involves men playing in women's sports. Where do you stand on all of that?

Well, I played college softball, so I'm very against men going anywhere where women should be.

So on their teams, in their bathrooms. Um we've we've just got to take a stand on that. It's ridiculous, honestly. Yeah.

Well said. All right. Well, Shelly, we sure do appreciate you coming on the show. And congratulations. What a great story.

And you're doing well. Also, you're taking time to recoup. No, not really. I have really jumped into the position already doing things around the district. Um You know, we we I went to TexDot, which is our d Department of Transportation here in Texas, and we got a speed limit lowered already because, you know, there was a highway that was unsafe.

We got a highway named after a woman that was killed on the highway. And I'm already participating in things in Austin in hearings, trying to make sure that. my district is r represented well. All right. Well, Shelly, you take care of yourself.

Glad you're on the mend, and we look forward to hearing from you down the road. Good luck to you. Thank you so much. All right, there you go, ladies and gentlemen. And what a great American success story, right?

I mean, this is. This is what America is all about. You have a small business owner in Dallas, Texas. And never involved in politics at all, the government comes in and says, you know what, you're non-essential, you're not essential, and you've got to shut down your business. And she stood up and she defied the government.

She was thrown in jail. And now she is officially A member of the state legislature. That is truly an American story. And we just really appreciate Shelly for taking a stand. And that's, by the way, that's how you facilitate change in this country.

Right? Is that you stand up to the government? All right, we've got to take a quick break here, folks. 901-260-5926. Our number again, 901-260-5926.

This is the Todd Starn Show. All right, let's go to the phone lines. KYKN, our great affiliate in Salem, Oregon, Randy. Randy, what's going on? No, Todd.

Hey, um Last october the twenty-fourth, my um brother and his wife and their six kids. Was invited to a political rally, women's political rally, in Jonesboro, Tennessee. And my brother in him they live in Irwin.

Well anyway, his six kids, they're from seven to eighteen years old, they play the violins and the cellos. And when and Senator Marshall Blackburn was there, And when they got through playing, my brother told me she could not bragged enough on those kids. They played that well. She was really impressed. And um I just want to drop a bug in your Contact office, find out how good they are.

And Maybe they can play for President Trump and his family at some time.

Well, you never know. I mean, that might be a great idea. And I am not surprised by what you just told me about Marcia Blackburn. She loves those kinds of things. And, you know, she's a grandma also.

We don't talk a lot about that on the show. But she just loves to see young kids that are patriotic. And I bet that was a great presentation. Yeah, 'cause well, they played the national anthem of our country, the national anthem of Israel, and then some other patriotic songs. Wow.

And also, you know, she mentioned that her, I believe it's her grandkid, is granddaughter, I believe it is, is into music also. And so she's got an ear for music. And she told them, kids, she goes, 'You kids hit every note perfect.' I mean, it just. I mean it's like she couldn't. Couldn't say Enough good.

I mean, she was that impressed.

Well, Randy, thank you for sharing that, and we'll pass that along to Senator Blackburn, and you never know. We'll have to wait and see. But God bless you, and thank you for calling in. 901-260-5926 is our number. That's 901-260-5926.

Ben Dieter, I was noticing that TSA is already putting out information. On Thanksgiving travel. And you know, a lot of people get caught up because you're going to grandma's house for Thanksgiving. And so, you know, your job is to pack the cranberry sauce, and you got to bring the cranberry sauce. And then TSA confiscates your cranberry sauce.

And it's becoming a big problem out there. Yeah.

So TSA is sending out a massive bulletin for all of those folks that will be doing some traveling. Do you know that 30 million passengers are expected to travel in this 12-day period, which begins on Friday. It's crazy. It's already starting. Already?

Yeah.

Yeah.

People are getting out there.

So did you know that you can actually get your meats, your turkey, your big old Thanksgiving turkey through TSA checkpoints? I'm not even making this up.

So these are some of the Thanksgiving food items that you can take from grandma's ho your grandma's house all the way back to where you are from.

So everything from the turkey, the ham, Frozen, cooked, or uncooked, which again, how are you getting an uncooked? Turkey into your carry-on. What about the turducken? Can you do that? Do you know what the turducken is?

I've never heard of. Is that a duck? Oh, yeah. This is where you stuff a, hold on, turduck in. You stuff the chicken up the wazoo of the duck, and then you stuff the wazoo of the duck, which has already been stuffed with the chicken up the wazoo of the turkey.

That sounds unnecessarily difficult. You know, it's hard to shove a bird up your butt, from what I understand, but it's a very delicious apparently. We'll reach out to TSA and see if we can get the turduck. What? It just seems to me.

I mean, really? You're telling.

So here's, but I also understand you're not allowed to carry cranberry sauce. Yeah.

Yeah.

Like gravy. You're not going to be able to. Get the gravy on the carry-on. Also, you know, that's not a bad thing. Maple syrup, jams and jellies.

So you're going to have to leave those at home.

So you're telling me so, this is what I don't understand. You're going to allow a turducken to make it through your carry-on luggage, right? And you could stuff anything into the bird's wazoo. Mm-hmm. Buttocks.

They will be screening the birds' buttocks, though. That's going to be.

Well, that's true, but what's wrong with cranberries? But you know, like in the era of Maha. Make America healthy again. Those folks don't even use microwaves because of concerns of radiation. How are you going to justify getting a bird?

Through the screens at your TSA checkpoints. They say that gives your bird radiation. It might go through pre-cooked and out the other side of the checkpoint. It might be already cooked, ready to go. Just throwing that out there.

I just had this horrible vision of a TSA guy slapping on the gloves, you know, the rubber gloves. Oh, no. And I'm going into the back side of the turkey, Marge. Yeah, a lot of pat downs will be taking place. I'm glad, I will say this.

I am glad. Oh, by the way, the gravy, homemade or in a jar.

Okay, can we stop just there? If you are, and ladies of the Tom Stearns radio show listening audience, I just want to see if this is true or if this is just the Stearns family. If you show up at our Thanksgiving celebration and you're bringing gravy that's been pre-made in a jar. You're getting kicked out of the family. What about stuffing time?

Stuffing. Oh, yeah, that's what after that. The stovetop. That comes in a box. The stuffing is after you eat the meal.

Yeah.

You're stuffed. No. Stuffing can only be in a box. There's no way. That cannot be a homemade stuffing.

That is illegal and a crime. No, it's cornbread dressing. What? Yeah, cornbread dressing. That sounds not bread.

Cornbread, what? Dressing? Cornbread dressing. That's dressing from a stovetop's cardboard box. You got to have no, no, no.

On the Southern Thanksgiving table, you got to have the turkey, you got to have some ham, and it's got to have those big old pineapple things on top. And then you got to have the cornbread dressing. green bean casserole. And you gotta have sweet potato souffle. That's good eating.

Souffle. Wow, this is insane. But back to the gravy. I'm okay with the gravy being packed. You're not allowed to get that through the TSA checkpoint because I don't want one of those TSA agents fooling around with my giblets.

You know what I mean?

Okay. My thing my thing is What happens if Even if you got the turkey, it's And stuff it into your carry-on, which, how on earth that's even a situation where someone is putting a ham in a carry-on? What if that leaks? But the worst part is, I come home with a little tiny carry-on. I play by the rules, and then you've got these other people that are bringing on 12 pieces of luggage.

And then the flight attendant says, Sir, we need to move your little bag. And I'm just really bothered that somebody would be moving the turkey around. Right. Yeah.

One time I saw a woman at Memphis International try to get her dog, her little poodle, through the TSA check. She stuffed it in her back. And then she was about ready to send it on through the conveyor belt through. And right as the poodle was going through, they stopped her. And they said, You can't send it through the machine.

So, again, people. Got to use common sense here. All right, cornbread dressing or stuffing, ladies and gentlemen. 901-260-5926. I want Ben Dieter to stick around because he had an issue, an incident at the TSA checkpoint that we need to talk about.

901-260-5926. We're going to your calls next. All right, um Ben Dieter, let's go to the phone lines here. We have caused a kerfuffle with the conversation about cornbread dressing and stuffing. And I want to share this.

Miss Janice from New Orleans says, Todd, I have stovetop stuffing or hormel complete turkey and dressing. Carrots and sweet potatoes. That's Christmas and Thanksgiving meal.

So she's by the box. You have to get it by the box. Stovetop. You can get it. Two bucks at Kroger.

That's what I call a deal. Let's go to Susan in Moorhead City, North Carolina. All right, Susan, what say you? Hey, Todd, I'm calling to tell you that I make everything from scratch. Come on, and my gravy is Giblet gravy that includes pieces of the turkey, hard boiled eggs, All made from scratch, and I even throw in a homemade banana pudding with no box.

Anything. All right, now you're just downright flirting with me, Susan. I am flirting with you. You're my main man. Every time I get in the car, I turn you on.

Woo! Yes. And I I have actually homemade cranberry Yellow dress um um Gelatin that I that I use with homemade well, not homemade because cranberries grow. But anyway, talk to me soon. Fresh cranberries, pecans, pineapple, the whole nine yards.

All right. And and a um um sweet potato. Play. Wow. Which you can.

Now, Susan, Todd's. By the way, Susan, Todd's in here blushing. Todd's face is cherry red right now. This may be a little personal. This may be a little personal, Susan.

I got to ask you about the jello. Does your jello jiggle? It does, Jiggle. Uh-oh. Oh, God.

Oh, I have to tell you this. I ended up a T-shirt, a T-shirt line called The Pretty Bitch. On the radio. Wow. Wow.

We like this. Susan, give us a holler back to, more importantly, send an invite over for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you, Susan. Wow. Wow, Todd.

You're a little rosy red in the studio. By the way, I just had to Google what a giblet was. A giblet. What? A giblet?

It's like a, you know, again, it's Jeff Giff. It's just giblet. How is this a culinary delicacy? They say it's gizzards, liver, and other organs. That's good eating.

What? Horrible. It's good eating. Let's go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line and sit on a Dalton Glasscock, whose Dalton we may call H.R. Hey, two things.

I've already texted Cassie to get Susan's number to make sure to connect you guys.

So don't worry, I have it handled. You may have a date next week.

So just tossing that one out there. Second, Ben's talking about gross food options. If I had my option, I would cook Haggis for Thanksgiving.

So, Ben, Google Haggis, if you're not familiar, and then I'll hear your response later. Oh, that's Haggerty. Haggerty's the senator. Haggis, Haggis? I can't even get it pulled up on Google.

This is not even in the English dictionary.

So it sounds horrible. Jesus Lou.

Now, Glascock, over in Kansas, where you are, and by the way, folks, Dalton Glascock, the CEO of the Stearns Media Group, also Wichita City Councilman, are you guys like a big cornbread dressing stuffing thing? It has to be very traditional. I'm a turkey stuffing person, ham for Christmas, turkeys for Thanksgiving. There's two very delineated options. But yes, you know, Thanksgiving, I think we cook better than the South.

And I know there's a fighting word.

Well, no, no, no. Look, hear me on this, though. I think my issue with the stuffing is that I just can't eat anything that's actually been shoved into the buttocks of a creature. And that's why, you know, I think it all has to be separate. Like, you know, we do the corporate dressing separately.

Wait till you figure out what Haggis is, then it'll all make sense. I'm not eating that. It sounds disgusting. I shop at a supermarket. I don't know about you guys, but I shop at a supermarket where you have five different brands of chitlins in the freezer that you can choose from.

This is disgusting. Todd, I'm pretty sure you circulate between the same four items. Yeah, no, you're exactly right. Liver. No, here's what it is: it's a Scottish dish composed of liver, heart, lungs of lambs.

Sheep or other animals, and then you mix it with some seasonings, and then you package it up into the stomach of a sheep, and then you boil that. And that is what Dalton is describing as haggis. You know what? Just give me some big old thick-cut slabs of king cotton bologna. That's a good meal.

Your specialty is tomatoes. Oh, well, yes. Yes. As a matter of fact, Ben Dieter and I, he invited me to go over to the farmer's market, and I got some heirloom tomatoes and had the last tomato sandwich of the season. And it was delicious.

It was delicious. Ben get adjusted tomato competition this year, or did you get some. No, I was not able to. I've been disqualified. I said too many nasty things after it because I love tomatoes, but after 80 tomatoes, it's a lot.

Mm-hmm. And he was squeezing the tomatoes a little bit too much, so that's an issue. We can talk about it later. Dalton Glasgow, we want to get you to weigh in on a couple of things here with politics. We are starting to see what appears to be a revolt among Republican senators.

CBS News now reporting up to 10 Republican senators say Matt Gates is not going to get their vote. What was the thought process here? What do you think is going on with Trump? I have no clue. I was the one out of left field that I did not expect I don't think anybody expects Matt Gates to be confirmed.

And so maybe my philosophy was they toss out him and then he puts a candidate that still they need less palatable people, but more palatable than that gave. And then they go and support him.

So I was surprised by that pick of all the picks. That was the one that there's no way that the Trump team thought that MacGates would be confirmed by the U. S. Senate. What if they were to do this?

And just hear me out here. If Matt Gates is not the guy. Then there's somebody else out there that is so far to the right. If that person would have been named initially, there's no way, but they're not going to have any choice but to put that person in because they can't reject two of Trump's picks.

So I'm wondering if maybe that's what's coming down the pike. out of all the picks, he's the only one that I don't believe can be confirmed by the Senate. All the other ones, there may be a few that are a little bit tighter to vote. He's the only one that will not have those from the Senate. And so I agree with your philosophy that I think it was a precursor for him to make a different appointment that would be maybe more controversial, but less controversial than Matt.

Not that it really matters, I think, in this whatever this new version of the Republican Party is, but I thought it was interesting that you had folks like Jeb Bush out there praising Trump on a lot of his picks. What do you make of that, Dalton? It is. He's done a good job at picking some establishment picks and also picking some picks just from the Trump world.

So Vivek is a good pick from the Trump world that he's brought in there. But then you have Marco Rubio, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. And so I really think it's a good combination that can It's covering the establishment, also covering the new wave of Trumpinism in the country as well. And I was shocked by some of his picks because I thought they would be more people in line with Trump and the Trump team and less some of the establishment picks and even some of his previous rivals. I think Susie Wiles is having a huge influence.

And there was some talk about that, that she is the she rules with an iron fist, but she's very quiet. She knows Trump. She's been with him forever. And I think he's listening to her. is what I think is going on.

I think so too, and I think he leans on people that also understand DC. I mean, he's. He did not come from DC, his background is not in DC, and so DC still operates as an institution, and you have to figure out a way. have influence over the institution while al also bringing outside perspective. And I think that's what she brings to the team.

See, I think Trump should have named you. If you're not going to get an ambassadorship, I think you need to go and join Elon and Vivek. And on that resume of yours is declaring war on the quarter million dollar Porta Potty. I mean, last I heard is that you were applying for an ambassadorship in Bora Bora. and just gonna go spend out the rest of your days on a beach.

I'm good with that. I'm good with it. Actually, I've been your deputy. I'd sign up. I'd like to be the ambassador to Tennessee.

Can we create a new. Just a new role. We're creating a new department. I'm sure we can do that.

Well, you know, we are. I think that's brilliant. All right. So, Dalton, another big story we've been following, and folks, hang tight if you're on the phone lines. We're going to get to you 901-260-5926.

Dalton, another interesting story on high school campuses across America. There is a Trump, a pro-Trump movement. And now you're getting all of these teachers who are being triggered in the classroom because the students are pro-Trump. And I'm wondering your analysis here, do you think this whole woke Pronoun stuff just went too far. I really think it comes down to they know that life is less affordable for them in the next couple of years.

When they're going off to college, when you're looking at purchasing their first home, when kids are starting to look at like what does my future life look like? And they realize that it's more expensive than their parent. I think that's what kids are looking at. I mean, it all comes down to the economy on everything. And yeah, you know.

Kids' opinions will shape in high school and college, and I had plenty of friends that changed their opinions. But one thing that didn't change regardless is they want a less expensive life and they want to live their life and they want to have a better life than their parents. Your political philosophy changes, but that is a core consistent belief your entire life. And I think that's when in high school you start realizing and start planning for the future. Yeah, I'm with you.

There's something going on. And again, it is not so much an election as it really is a movement. And I think it's almost a resetting back to when Obama promised to fundamentally transform America.

So this is going to be fascinating to see. Real quick, what do you think about this idea of abolishing the Department of Education? It was not a cabinet position until Jimmy Carter's administration. Do you like the idea of returning the bulk of control back to the states and the local communities? I believe local government governs better than people dictating policies in Washington DC and pushing it down to local levels.

And I imagine this will be one of the first things that the Doge department investigates is whether the efficacy of the Department of Education. And if we are supposed to have one of the premier educational institutions in the country and we're supposed to try to help our young people in this country, is it doing its job? Is it having proven results or is it not? And if it's not, then let's look at how we have local control over these issues. And I believe a government that governs best governs locally.

I love it. All right. Wow. What a great way to ramp things here. Dalton Glascock, Wichita City Councilman and a great fiscal conservative, also heads up my company.

And he's tight with the dollars here, too, right? Right, Glascock? You keep us silent. I am. Oh, and by the way, I just sent you Susan's phone number.

Okay. Yeah.

Who needs Christian Mingle when you have the Todd Stern show? Yeah, Todd. I mean, you heard that compliment. That's a new revenue stream for us. We're going to operate.

Hey, do you guys remember this? Got me in so much trouble. Years ago at Fox, when Caleb Park was working with us, and he was on the show, and we tried to get Caleb Park married off. And we had a lady call in, she was from Wisconsin, and her daughter, who was Caleb's age, Was a dairy farmer, and I think it would have worked out great, but it um apparently that's against the rules or something. We can't we can't we can't be matchmakers on air.

Hey, we make our own little media group. She said she knew her way around.

Well, I can't go there. It was really an inappropriate comment. There was a lot of innuendo. I don't think she was actually talking about well, never mind. Dolphin.

Yeah, were you were you asking about jiggling jello? Yeah.

No, I you weren't well, I probably should not have I probably should not ask callers if they're jello jiggles. But it's a legitimate issue. Oregon, that's our new policy. That's established age.

Well, here in the South, if you have a congealed salad, that's how you know you've got yourself a good s congealed salad. If it kind of does the thing. Goodbye, Todd. Thanks, Dalton. Bye, Dalton.

Dalton, Glasgow. Wow. You're in so much trouble. We're going to HR. Hey, let's go to Joanne before we go to HR, though, in South Haven, Mississippi, listening to us on KWAM.

Hi, Joanne. Hi, Todd. Hi, Ben. How are you?

Well, we were doing pretty good. I'm embarrassed. What do you have, Joanne? What's going on? Jiggling jello.

God. Hands off the giblets. I just wanted to mention that My husband's originally from New York. I'm originally from Memphis, Tennessee. He calls dressing Stuffing.

And I call stuffing dressing, and that's just how I've been brought up.

However, As I've gotten older, moved to Florida, I've been around a lot of New Yorkers, I've converted to calling it. stuffing just because He keeps making fun of me and saying that it should be dressing is dressing like for a salad. And he keeps making fun of me. He's right. He's right, Joanne.

And you're wrong. We love you, but your husband's right. That's a house divided. I know I'm right. Score, score, got some brownie points from the husband in the back.

All right, I'm going with Joanne here. Again, I think there's a fundamental difference here because cornbread dressing is cornbread and stuffing is like white bread. And I don't have any problem with white bread. I just don't want it stuffed into the buttocks of a turkey.

Well see, my grandfather, he called his Yankee dressing.

So it's bread-based, not corn-based. I I don't think I've actually ever had cornbread based. Stephen your dressing. I I it's always been bread-based, so I I don't know what to call it. I'm going to say this, and folks, you can check these people out nationwide.

They're based here in the Memphis area. They're called O Great. O-H-G-R-A-T-E. And it's two ladies and two younger ladies, and they've got their own catering business, and they do these. You can buy their frozen meals.

I tried their brand new cornbread dressing the other day when I was at the big Christmas open house and I bought a tray of it, took it home. It was the best cornbread dressing I've had. Oh, great. Wow. So there you go.

Hey, Joanne, I'd love to hang, but we've got to head off to a break. A good hearing from you. And thanks for listening. And Mr. Joanne, thank you for listening as well.

Wow. We've got Carlotta and Jim. Hang tight, folks. We'll be right back. All right.

Let's go to the phones here. Carlotta in Rhode Island. Carlotta, it's been a while. Hope you're doing good today. Yes, I am.

Hi, Swedish. Three things. I'm Austrian, so we always. It's the kitchen sink, some kind of a sausage meat. Liver.

some kind of a fruit like apricot or whatever. But then when I married my husband, even though he was Italian, we started adding a breeche.

So our stuffing is really delicious. But anyway, what I wanted to tell you is, I remember during the first well, first of all, I think Mackettes is a decoy. Like, look over here.

So they'll get him they w they'll get him to or they won't get him to and he'll wind up replacing the Who's that guy, Hegwick? Who wind up on Fox? But I think I remember this is what I called you, Beth. I remember during the first Trump administration, I would call or listen to you, and every day you'd be yelling and screaming about the rhinos. And you were really the only one.

who was warning Trump that his team was working against him.

So you really introduced that concept to America because it was foreign to me. I thought, well, God, you become president, you pick people and they're going to work with you. But do you remember how every day you hawked on that? Carlotta, I do. And it was sort of like the lone voice crying in the wilderness.

But I think a lot of people are listening to the program and they're waking up. And over the years, they've understood: wow, this is the bigger problem here: President Trump doesn't have a team to work with. But, Carlotta, I will say this, and I hate to do this, but we've gotten to skedaddle to break, Carlotta. But I will say this: I think this go-around, Trump knows that. He knows exactly what's going to happen, and he's going in day one, ready with a plan, and it is going to rock our world.

Carlota, God bless you. Don't be a stranger. Give us a holler back. Jim, hang tight. We're going to get to you after the break here, folks.

901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's America's favorite gun totem, Bible-clanging, deplorable American.

That's us! That's right. I love this American ride. Todd Starnes. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is Todd Starnes, your voice of hope and truth across this great nation.

Welcome, everybody. Great to have you with us. If you would like to be a part of the show, you can do that by giving us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. By the way, coming up tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern on Newsmax TV, one of our great guests, Roger Stone, who has had a front-row view at Mar-a-Lago to the Trump Transition Team.

We're going to be having a great conversation with him later tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern. One of the hottest Twitter accounts out there is run by a guy by the name of Clint Brown. A former vice president at Heritage, a former Senate staffer, if it's happening in Washington, D.C., Clint Brown is going to know about it. And he joins us right now on the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line. Clint, so glad to have you with us today.

Thanks for having me on. You know, it's interesting. We've been following the developments over the past twenty-four hours. And I want to start with Matt Gates. CBS News reporting as many as ten Republican senators may not support Matt Gates.

What do you think's going on here? Because a lot of people were very surprised by that pick for AG.

So what's going on with this in the Senate is A little interesting. I saw that number originate from a Democrat senator, Senator Blumenthal. Oh. Senate math is not like any other math. It's exponential.

If you get one vote for something, you're likely to get three. If you get three, you're likely to get five. Hey, so What I think is happening here is Democrats are trying to make moderate Republicans. Feel comfortable. going against President Trump by saying, look, Your friends are doing it.

Now they haven't named any names of who's going to vote against Matt Gates. But they're just saying, trust me, there's ten.

So I think there's something suspicious going on there.

Now do I think federal senators may really be thinking about voting against them. Yes, I do. We know what the rhinos are like. Total. It's a very real possibility, and I'm happy to walk through the breakdown of what it takes to get him through confirmation.

Yeah, I am curious about that. And again, I know all the hullabaloo around Matt, and I don't think that's important unless it's all true, and then that's a problem. But if this you know, they've been investigating this guy forever, it seems like, Clint. And if there's something there, it should have already come out. That's exactly right, Todd.

It's just endless investigations But So far, have turned up nothing in public. And now In the Senate, Once Jaden Vance has sworn in, he's the tiebreaker. We have a fifty three seat majority Very moderate Republicans maybe vote against. back gaze and he can still get confirmed.

So I'm curious what's going on there, but the thing I'll tell you is The Establishment loves control. And when you hear them saying Matt Gates is chaos, What they mean is He breaks our control.

So what they call chaos is good for me and good for you and all the MAGA deplorables around the country like us.

So I don't take that as a slight, I take it as a compliment. Yeah, no, I'm with you 1,000% there. And again, I think a lot of this just has to do with they hate Matt Gates for whatever reason. He's not a team player, doesn't go along with the establishment, whatever. But that's not the kind of person Donald Trump's looking for in that position.

And we've got a serious, serious problem in this weaponized DOJ. That's right. And as you said, they've been investigating Matt Gates for years. He knows about these serious problems at the weaponized DOJ. And frankly, you need somebody like him who's not going to be a team player, who's not going to go along to get along, who doesn't want the prestige.

of the law swamp D O J. He wants to win. And that's what President Trump is looking for: somebody who can win, clean up the DOJ, and return it, like he said in his statement. to rooting out crime and corruption. Clint, you're a Senate insider.

You know all the inner workings here. And I'm curious about the vote yesterday for Senate majority leader. It really wasn't all that close with Rick Scott and Jon Thune. What happened there? What happened there is there's something And efforts going on for a couple of years and really, really targeted for the last.

six or seven months to get reforms to how the Senate operates.

So Rick Scott was Part of this effort. A number of senators were Senator Mike Lee. Ron Johnson. But changing the way this internet works. And what they've been doing for the last Ten years, I won't bore your listeners with all the procedural details, but they've essentially been blocking Senators from offering amendments.

Harry restarted this, McConnell doubled down on it. No surprise there. What they want is open amendments. In the end, because of Scotch insurgent campaign where he was picking up votes, he was picking up. Great.

MAGA Influencers, he was taking support from your listeners, who I'm sure were calling in and saying vote for Rick Scott. Cornen and Thuhun agree to these kinds of changes. And with that agreement, a member of Senators who were already inclined to vote for Thume continue to vote for him. But senators who were sort of like, I want to see some changes, they heard what they needed to hear from Thune and they got it done from him.

Now a lot of factors go into whether is this personal. A lot of fuckers go anywhere, they vote for somebody. They have to work with each other.

So Hearing those reforms happen, that's made me pretty excited. I'm glad to see Thun commit to that. I hope he holds to it. And we'll see. I mean, he's saying all the right things right now, but when push comes to shove in these, I think we will see what happens in the confirmation hearings.

But I want to circle back to something that you were talking about, which I'm really intrigued by. The idea that J.D. Vance. Could possibly serve as a majority leader if things go south? First of all, is that allowed under the Constitution, under the rules of the Senate?

It absolutely is. Under the Constitution, the Vice President is the President of the Senate. If your viewer if your listeners are returning this And they see the person sitting at the front of the room. That's the chair of the Senate. Davy Vance is the chair of the Senate.

That is his seat. If anybody else is sitting in it, they're borrowing it from him. He can walk in, ask them to get up and take over.

Now here's where it gets interesting. Most of the power of the majority leader comes from something known as the right of first recognition. Whoever's sitting in the chair recognizes the majority leader first. This is how they block amendments. Big swamp spending bills.

The majority of the years can go down. the floor because the chair recognizes him and put up whatever he wants.

Now, what happens if the chair doesn't recognize the majority leader, but recognizes somebody who's advancing Trump's agenda?

Well, now that person is running the show.

So essentially, J.D. Vance can take over the Senate from the chair, recognize who he wants. and move the agenda forward if The establishment gets in the way.

So, Clint, I'm curious how you see this playing out, because unlike the first Trump administration first term in office, Trump has a very clear mandate from the American people here. Is that going to be enough to keep maybe a Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski or Tom Tillis in line and moving the President's agenda through the Senate? We know that. Tom Tullis is out for reelection in North Carolina in two years, I believe. And North Carolina voted overwhelmingly for President Trump.

So there is something to that.

Now, Susan Collins is in a bit of a different situation, Maine. Is a blue state, and she's a Republican from a blue state. We can know what we're going to get in that situation. I don't know that there'll be obstacles as much as they could have been in the first term. But I think there will still be some of that.

I think the big thing to watch for is Republican insighting. Stays before the election. McConnell gave a statement to a reporter saying he expects to spend more time arguing with Republicans than Democrats. They're already planning for the Republican voting, that kind of thing will slow down the process. In the end, Maybe they vote for what Champa wants.

But along the way, they're going to slow it down with inviting. In other words, we're going to have to keep an eye on all of this, and we certainly plan on doing that. And Clint, we'd love to get you back on. You've got a lot of great sources up there on Capitol Hill. This is fascinating information.

And I had seen the JD Vance. People have been talking about that, and I appreciate you getting to the bottom of it.

So thanks for coming on the show today. Thanks for having me.

It's been a pleasure. All right. Clint Brown, everybody, a former VP over at Heritage, a former Senate staffer. He's got a lot of inside sources and great intel. And you heard it.

You heard it from Clint that it is absolutely possible for J.D. Vance to serve as the Senate majority leader.

So there you go. All right, 901-260-5926. I want to go to Jerry in Arkansas, has a theory about Matt Gates. All right, Jerry, what you got? I'm all ears.

Yes, sir. I think I've got the Attorney General Bait and Switch figured out. I think we're going to swap Matt for Matt, Gates for Whitaker. Whitaker doesn't have an assignment yet, does he? No, he does not.

That's a good point.

So, you think Matt Whitaker could be the guy? Uh sure do. I think that would be great. On a personal level, I can't stand Gates, but I do think that Ty he's got a bone to pick, and I think he'd make a great guy in the job, but uh But yeah, they'll never conform it. Whitaker will look so much better to them, and Whitaker's still a tough guy.

He will get the job done. Yeah, and that's all we need: somebody who can get the job done, not embarrass the president, not get involved in scandals. And I got to tell you, you're right. I mean, but again, likability. I'm okay with not being, you know, with the guy not being likable as long as he's being effective in getting the job done.

That's all I care about. Yeah, well, it would be pretty hypocritical of us to say, Oh, I don't like Matt Gates. I don't after we've been filling all the libs, hey, you don't got to like DJ T to Bookmark. Look, if Trump wants him, there's a reason why you got to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. And I'm doing that on everything.

There you go. All right, Jerry, thank you for that. Good call. Let's go to Jim in Lakeland, Tennessee, listening to us on KWAM. Hey, Jim, what's going on?

Well, I got a couple of things here. Oh. Previous conversation. Cornbread dressing with a little sage in it. And our Apple would smoke a turkey on one of them big dog grills.

And one other thing, I would love to hear Charles Billingsley sing the national anthem at Trump's inauguration.

Well, Charles Billingsley is a great singer, and I will definitely pass that along. To the point about sage and your dressing, Paul Shanklin texted me. He says, Left out the sage and the dressing, otherwise just throw it away.

So there you and Shanklin. Yep, well, I do. I smoke alcohol wood. I use apple wood to smoke a turkey. And if you have never tasted one, it's unbelievable.

All right. Well, Jim, we're going to be celebrating Thanksgiving over in Lakeland with the stern screws, so we may have to try that out. All right, folks, got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. What do you think about the president's pick so far? Anyone surprise you?

Anybody you're glad to see? Anyone you wish to see? By the way, press secretary, we still don't know who that person is going to be. Who would you like to see as the next press secretary? 901-260-5926.

This is the Todd Stern Show. All right, coming up tonight, five o'clock Eastern on Newsmax, Roger Stone drops by. And uh folks, want to remind you of the huge news. Newsmax continues to just explode in the ratings. We beat CNN at a couple of day parts last year.

It was pretty remarkable on what's been happening post-election. By the way, our audience here on the Tom Stearns Radio Show is just growing by leaps and bounds as well.

So thank you. And that is entirely due to all of you telling your friends and neighbors to tune in and listen. By the way, President Trump, among the big Newsmax viewers, and now you can be eligible to buy preferred shares in Newsmax before our planned IPO. You can go to newsmaxinvest.com for information. That's newsmaxinvest.com.

Forbes magazine says Newsmax is a news powerhouse and you can become a co-owner today. Be sure to check with your attorney or financial advisor, newsmaxinvest.com. All right, I want to play some audio here before we go to the phones. There's been a. A big controversy in Memphis, Tennessee, and I know Ben Dieter, I know you've been following this and you were talking about it on your morning show today, that the professional soccer team in Memphis is packing up and heading to Santa Barbara.

And one of the big problems is that they were wanting a bazillion dollars to build a brand new soccer stadium. In the meantime, we've got the Memphis Grizzlies here.

So Memphis they want Memphis to be a sports town. We've got the Memphis Grizzlies, then we have the University of Memphis Tigers. And they've got a stadium that's been around since the 1960s, and they're doing a Renault job. And they're also renovating the FedEx Forum, which is our NBA team, the Grizzlies. And so the problem here is they're raising our taxes to build all this crap.

And the reality is, nobody's going to the soccer matches. I mean, they're running a 10,000-seat stadium. And Ben, right now, they're playing in the minor league baseball team stadium, the Red Birds. And so, man, if they've got 1,000 people, 1,500 people, that's actually a good thing. Good day for them, I have to imagine.

They say that this is a sports mecca city. Everybody comes here for sports. I don't know. Ask your listeners when they've come to Memphis or they're planning a trip to Memphis. Is it for soccer?

See, I think it's for Elvis. That B.B. King comes to mind, the barbecue, MLK, the Civil Rights Museum. Do people really like soccer? I'm sorry, it's just so European.

People in Dallas like soccer. Like Texas people like soccer. I don't know. Maybe, I don't know what it is. I'm a football guy.

Football, like the soccer. Because you have to classify because they also call soccer football overseas. Yeah, those people are morons.

Okay. Okay. Yeah.

Well, or Europeans. I know that's an oxymoron. But it is it's soccer. They're kicking a ball around. I mean, I just don't get it.

But anyway, the fact of the matter is, and I don't, what do I care? But why are we having to spend tens of millions of. To you know, to build these stadiums. I don't understand that.

So, anyway, Mayor Young, the mayor of Memphis, explaining all of this, cut seven. They're looking for a city that has a new stadium for them. We don't have it at this point in time. All is not lost in Memphis. It doesn't mean we can't get it in the future.

We just didn't have what that team needed at this specific point in time. When we received the money from the state, when we started looking at the needs at the FedEx Forum and at Liberty Bowl Stadium, we realized that there just was not enough to do all three things, at least not in a short-term frame. All right. So they're wanting to build like a what? I mean, they're doing the reno on the football stadium, what, 55,000, 60,000 people?

And Ben, we're lucky if 25,000 people come out to a college football game. And then they built this massive sports complex that was supposed to generate, it was like, what is it, how much, $100 million? That we built that we paid for and it's not generating anything.

So all the taxpayers are now on the hook for all of this stuff. And I just wonder if they want to build a basketball stadium, that's it. I mean, they will do it. They'll go out there and they'll build as many basketball stadiums as humanly possible. But I just gotta tell you, I just don't think soccer is Is that popular here in Memphis?

I'm not too sure the mayor is keen on The soccer sport. If it was basketball, hands down, they'd be building something else. Anyway, got to take a break here. 901-260-5926. You do wonder, though, if you're in a medium-sized city where you have these professional sports teams, why is it that the taxpayers have to come in and build these multi-million-dollar stadiums and arenas, and then the teams just turn around and go somewhere else?

It does make you wonder. 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Or shocked to be arrested in front of her children. It was anger and frustration, of course, because my children were having to witness that.

All because her then 10-year-old son was spotted walking alone in Mineral Bluff, Georgia, a town with a population of about 370. It's really not even a town, Harley. It's. Not a super dangerous or even dangerous at all stretch of road. Brittany Patterson lives less than a mile from town with her father and children.

On October 30th of this year, she had to take her eldest son to a medical appointment. Her youngest son, Soren, didn't want to come, she said, so she left him at home. Then she received a call from a police officer.

So when you got that phone call from the police officer saying, Hey, do you know your kid is in town? What did you think? I said, No. I didn't know he was in town. I was not expecting them to say that, but I wasn't terrified for him or scared for his safety.

The police officer drove Soren home, she says, and made it clear it was problematic. Brittany didn't know where Soren was. At that point, Brittany thought the ordeal was over until officers showed up that evening to arrest her. They asked me to put my hands behind my back and all that stuff, and I realized what was going on. Brittany was taken to county jail, booked, and then released on $500 bail.

She's now facing a misdemeanor charge of reckless conduct. The arrest warrant saying she, quote, knowingly did endanger the bodily safety of her juvenile son. If found guilty, she could face up to one year in prison and a thousand dollar fine. All right, what a crazy story. This is all happening in a tiny little town in Georgia.

We're not talking about California or New York. We're talking Georgia, Mineral Bluff, Georgia, population 223. I want to go to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line. We're honored to have the Executive Vice President and General Manager of WDUN, Bill Main, joining us. Bill, good to have you on the show.

Pod, always good to hear from you. Always good to hear you on the air, and always good to hear from you. Bill, this is the craziest story I've heard. And you sent this to me the other day, and I could not believe it. I am the same.

I saw that article. I was on the air doing the morning show, and I started to talk about it, and we went on for about seven, eight minutes on this because I just couldn't believe Like you just said, this is happening in Georgia, and of all places, in the mountain counties. You know, it's like she said in the article and the story, there's sort of free-range parenting. And I don't know how you grew up, but that's That's the way I grew up. My my mom and dad, you know, they trusted me for certain things.

And if I was going to go to a buddy's house. I would get on my bike and I'd be gone. And I would, when I lived up north in Raleigh, we'd. roll across a six lane highway. And my parents never thought twice about it because they knew I could do it.

They knew I understood what it took to be safe. We walked to school a mile when I was in second grade, younger than this child. I just it blows my mind that they would come and put handcuffs on her and arrest her and put her in a jumpsuit. Seriously? And they did it in front of her children.

That's what gets me: is what kind of a message is this sending? And to your point, I grew up in South Haven, Mississippi, a Memphis suburb, and it was, you know, ride your bike to the Rexall drugstore to read comic books and walk to school. And in the summertime, my mom was like, don't come back till the streetlights come on, right? That was parenting back in the 70s. Exactly.

And it does make me. take a step back and wonder, I'm surprised that this is happening in Georgia, but and you take a look at some of the laws that they're talking about, how they're able to do this. There is discussion coming out of this story of perhaps the legislature, when they convene coming up here in January, taking a look at this and trying to determine where that fine line is between being able to parent and endangering. Certainly, if you were irresponsible and you were a drunkard or totally neglecting your children, that's one thing. I don't this story to me is not bad at all.

And it seems to me. If Someone had any sense or reason, the deputy would have picked the child up, taken the child to safety, and just left it at that. Mom, chews the child out. You didn't tell me where you're going, and that's the end of it. And that's where it should have ended.

So according to this is Reason.com, which is a libertarian-esque website here, the Division of Family and Children's Services here in Georgia came for a home visit. And they came up with a safety plan, is that right, for this woman to sign? A safety plan. That is correct. She has to sign off on this safety plan.

If she doesn't, as a story mentioned, she could face some penalties. They could possibly remove her children if they want to go that far with it. You know what really smacks in the face here, insult to injury, is I don't know if you saw this in the story, but he was actually 10 when this happened. His birthday was that Sunday, turned 11, and DeFax sent him a birthday card. That's disgusting.

Really? That's. I don't get this. Todd. What Where have we come to in this?

You know, you and I have talked about this before as to where generationally, where have parents come to where. You've got to bubble wrap your kids, and we expect the state to bring up our children. I refuse to let that happen in my family.

So this is insane.

So the plan that the state of Georgia came up with is that she had to download an app on her son's phone that would allow her, you know, so that he could be monitored. What? Yeah, that's so you could track your child. uh which is and like she said, she's she's not wanting to do it. And she's not agreeing with any of this.

There is, as I understand, a nonprofit Defense organization that is looking into defending her in this. this is just the start of what is going to be, I hope, a case It causes the uh The legislature to take a look at what we're doing here in the state when it comes to family and children's services. You know, I'm curious to hear what our listeners think about this. A mom arrested, she could face a year in jail, a thousand dollar fine, because her kid was just out being a kid. Yeah, and at the same time, she was a parent who, even though she didn't know that's where he went, if he had asked, she probably would have let him.

Yeah, it's a fair point. I can only imagine all of our parents would be in jail if this had happened here in the 70s.

Well, I will say this. You know, they just had we just finished the election, and I believe there were a couple of it was a contested race there for the sheriff. If this had happened prior to that, he might not have got reelected. I'm just shocked again, this is happening in North Georgia, which is a pretty conservative area. But you guys have also had a lot of people moving in from other states, moving into those mountain communities.

And I'm wondering if some of that's playing in here. That's a good possibility. The discussion going back to the election and the makeup when it comes to voting and some of the things that have gone, people getting elected and the turnout of folks on the left turning out to vote, more of them moving into the state, but you see a lot of that in the big populations areas, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, Macon. North Georgia in the mountains, it's not that way.

So I am surprised that this is happening here. But To your point, we have some property in Raven County that we spend some time in, and there are a lot of people that moved into Raven County from Atlanta after the pandemic. 'Cause it was cheap, it was affordable and there's a really good uh school system up there.

So you're seeing a lot of that go on.

So I'm not shocked in that regard. I'm just very disappointed. I don't even think there is a stoplight. I've actually been through Mineral Bluff, Georgia, a time or two, and there is not even a stoplight there. It's just a tiny little speck of a town.

If you blinked, you missed it. It's true. You either turn you know what I'm talking about. You drop it's that back road and you turn to go to Murphy, North Carolina, or you keep going straight and end up in McKaysville. Exactly.

I've actually eaten pizza in Murphy for what that's worth. But yes. Wow. Wow. Bill, I'm curious, what are your listeners at DUN saying about this?

Well, what we've heard from people and I did the story and I got some we have a text line and immediately texts were coming in. People were saying basically the same thing that you're saying. I can't believe this is happening. They were just shocked. Uh disappointed, angry.

Uh yeah so This is just starting. I honestly, I think the best way that this could be resolved is if the state just backed down if defects, did you know? We overreacted. Sheriff's farmer said we overreacted. Everything's fine.

She's got four children. They're all healthy. Everybody's fine. It's not like they're being neglected. Kids look pretty well adjusted.

I mean, good-looking family. I just don't get this at all. All right. Well, Bill Main, always fun.

Now, normally you interview me on Tuesday mornings on your morning show.

So this is kind of fun with going in reverse here. Turnabout fair play, I suppose. That's it. That's it. All right, Bill.

Well, we just really do appreciate the great work you guys are doing at WDU. And I gave you guys a big shout out the other day, and we just appreciate the great radio you guys are putting out.

Well, we appreciate and glad that you're on our station. We really do like having you on. And anytime you're in town, you know you got room, so just drop by. In the meantime, I will talk to you on Tuesday, right?

Sounds great, Bill Main, Executive VP and General Manager, WDUN. Thanks a lot, Bill. Peace out, Mike. All right, good guy right there. Let's go to Paul in Moorhead City, North Carolina.

Paul, can you believe that they arrested this mom? I think that's a bit overkill, but at the same time I think that given the day and age in which we live. with all of the child pornography and all the rest of that stuff. I do think that she probably should have had a much deeper and longer conversation with the children. But I do think it's a bit overkill.

I don't know. Look, again, country living, and this is, I mean, in the boondocks, this town. And I hear what you're saying. But when I was a kid Ten years old, I don't think my parents knew where in the world I was or what I was doing. But again, this is a different day and age in which we're living in.

I've got. three children, two of which are close to the age at which this little boy was. That and dog. if if they're going anywhere, I'm watching them like a hawk nowadays. All right, Paul.

Well, good thought. And folks, you heard Paul from Moorhead City. He says, you know what? It's a different time than the 1970s. You got to keep an eye on those kids.

What say you, everybody? 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. Got to take a break. We'll be right back.

Oh, sweet Lord. Ah, wow. You know, um We should probably tell you what's been going on here.

So, before earlier this morning, and we have a state-of-the-art news bunker where we do the talk radio program from in our undisclosed location in Memphis, Tennessee. Between two very popular barbecue joints. One of our circuit breakers blew early this morning, and it is the circuit breaker that controls the air conditioning.

So, if you're watching on social media, if you're watching our feed, you can tell: wow, Todd looks really wonderful. Looks like he's glowing. Yeah, that's called sweat.

So it's a little toasty in here.

So, anyway, bear with us.

So, we're getting the electricians in, and they're going to fix all of this. In the meantime, let's go to the phone lines. Nobody wants to hear our problems, but I just wanted to pass that along to you. It's like, man, Todd's a little sweaty today. What's going on?

Let's go to Norma in Jackson, Tennessee, and has an idea for the press secretary. Hi, Norma. What's going on? Hi, Todd. You're shiny new along with Pearl.

No complaints. God, God. I think they cheated Carrie Lake again, and I think she would be great as press secretary. Carrie Lake, of course, there were the shenanigans there in the Senate vote. And Norma, have you noticed that, first of all, this only happens in states where you don't have to show an ID to vote?

And it also happens, Norma, when they don't count the ballots on one day. That's right, and she is a spider and and and also I think fake news hates her, so she'd be great. All right, we're writing this down, Norma. I like Carrie. The great news here is that Trump has surrounded himself with so many wonderful, competent people.

And we'll see how that plays out. Norma, thank you for listening to us in Jackson, Tennessee. Let's go to Jeff in North Carolina and wants to weigh in on this mom. And our last caller, Jeff, said, you know what? It's a new age.

You've got to keep an eye on the kids at all times.

Well, um It it sounded as if he was almost defending. the government overreach. And I think it all does depend on where you live, the remote areas and so forth. my problem with his position that He keeps a really close eye on his kids. That's according to his opinion.

Because there's always someone else out there that thinks he's not doing enough. And they could then impose There criteria or their judgment on him for not doing enough. You see what I'm saying? Once you go down that rabbit hole that that you allow someone else to say Well, they weren't doing enough. There's always someone else that'll come to you and say, you're not doing enough either.

Jeff, it's a fair point, and you're right. That's to me, I mean, fine, you're a deputy sheriff, you see a kid walking down the road, you pull over and find out what's going on, and at that point you call the kid's mom, she gives the kid the what for, and the cop says, You know what, I'll be happy to take your kid home. I mean, you know, it's something that simple. Sure. And to your point, these kids were healthy, happy, everything was okay, and depending on where they live.

And I get Paul's point. About not living in the time I grew, I was born in 1960. But And you know, I I just don't want to give up my rights and let someone else say, Well, you should have. Because there's always someone else. And someone listening here could do the same thing to Paul and say, You know, you think you're watching your kids, but we think you're not watching them close enough.

And then all of a sudden he might be in the same boat. Jeff, it's a good thought, and I appreciate you calling in. You know, Ben Dieter, you know what this reminds me of? What? When Dylan got engaged.

Remember he was popping the question? To his lovely bride. And of course, the whole family, we were at the, so the entire family knew we were all in on it.

So we were all at his bride's family's home, and we were there for the big surprise. And Aunt Lynn was there. The whole, everybody was there. You know, we had all the cousins, the whole family. And so I walk in.

And Dylan was basically driving his fiancee driving his then girlfriend to the park where they met, and he was going to propose. And so I walk in, and everybody's staring at their phones. I'm like, oh my gosh, what's going on? Do we have breaking news? It turns out they were all tracking.

Dylan and his soon-to-be bride. Literally, they had these trackers on their phones. You weren't tracking him? No, I'm like, who does that? You should have been tracking him.

Well, then it turns out they're like, oh my gosh, why did he stop? What's going on here? What's going on? Why did he stop? And he's at the wrong park.

So we turned out he went to the wrong park. He went to the wrong park to propose. It was very sad. But they got married. Happily ever after.

Absolutely. But I'm now wondering: okay, are the in-laws and are they all now tracking Dylan and the bride now that they're married? Because I guess it's still on their phones. It's called Find My Friends. That's the app.

Find My Friends. Jeez. Todd, you don't know? We have one on you. No, it's called Spy on My Friends.

Yeah, yeah. No, the staff has to keep an eye on Todd. Mine's very boring. It goes from Germantown Kroger to Chick-fil-A to the station and then to church on Sunday. That's pretty much it.

Unless you're on a book tour, and in that case, you're to DC and Los Angeles. Very confusing. But when you're back in Memphis, it's a very easy track. It's true. But again, it's just like: why are we spying on?

I don't understand that.

It's the day we're living in, Todd. Just those glory days away. It's so complicated. There was a time when everybody, you know, everybody was in everybody's business, but that was called church prayer meeting time, right? Unspoken was never really an unspoken, was it?

I have an unspoken. And everybody's like. After the service, what's the unspoken? Then she speaks it. I had a s yeah.

Some lady gave an unspoken prayer request once. Her uh granddaughter had moved off to the big city and had taken up an alternative lifestyle. Yeah, she was drinking unsweet tea. That's just inappropriate.

So we were going to bring the girl back and lay hands on her. I rebuke you. You now can track your phones, though. What did you do when you lost your phone back in the day?

Now you just hit, find my phone, and it takes you to your phone. I'm good. We have beautiful, beautiful days filled with technology. It's a blessing. All right.

Coming up, 5 o'clock Eastern, ladies and gentlemen, you can find me on Newsmax. Spy on Todd. Spy on me, yes, for the full hour. All right, ToddSterns.com, ladies and gentlemen. Head over there.

Check out all of the great stories, and we've got a lot of them coming at you. Also, tomorrow, we're going to be right back here, noon to 3 Eastern. Thank you for listening, ladies and gentlemen. You be good, America.
