Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's America's favorite gun totem Bible. Clinging deplorable America. That's us. That's right. I love this American Ride.

Todd starts. Oh, yeah.

Well, hello, everybody. Happy Friday to you, America. Wherever you might be listening, border to border, coast to coast, across the fruited plain. You know, we are now broadcasting well over 160 radio stations, and we are so honored that you've made us your choice, noon to 3 Eastern across this great nation. By the way, today is Open Line Friday.

That means you can call in and talk about whatever is on your mind today. You can also ask me a question if you agree or disagree. Doesn't matter. Just give us a call, 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

And we will be taking your calls throughout today's show. I want to go right away, though, to our Patriot mobile newsmaker line. Very seldom do we have a guest to kick off the show, but today. Is a different day and a special day. Congressman Andy Ogles joins us from the Nashville area.

Congressman, hope you're doing well today.

Well, I'm doing great. I hope you are as well, my fellow deplorable. It's great to be in America. Yes, it is. It is indeed, Congressman.

And of course, the big story, and we're going to get to Nashville in just a moment, but the Supreme Court earlier today announcing that President Trump does, in fact, have a right to deport these 500,000 migrants that Joe Biden brought into the country. First, your reaction to that. Of course, he has the right. And this is one of those things that the founding fathers warned us about: is that you would have That a too powerful or an activist judiciary could literally tip the balance of powers. And so this had to go all the way to the Supreme Court.

the Supreme Court to right that decision or that wrong. But it's a wake-up, I think, to us as legislators, but also to the American people that. If the Supreme Court doesn't put the lower courts in check, it may be time for we as the legislative branch, legislative body, to go back to the beginning to re-envision what our founders envisioned for our courts, which was a weaker judiciary. But unfortunately, the judiciary has become its own legislative branch and authority, which is a problem. And, Congressman, we were talking about this on yesterday's show, explaining how this works, because Congress does have the power.

You guys, it is your purview to decide whether or not to defund the lower courts or completely dismantle the lower courts. You could defund, you could redraw. I mean, there's a whole host of things that can be done. Obviously, that's a drastic measure. But the problem is that we've had these judges, the packing of the courts with activists Versus individuals who were in that role for one thing, which is upholding the law.

And again, when you have the judiciary branch, the judicial branch becoming a legislative body, that they're literally making laws by ruling, that's a problem. And again, I go back to Max and I go back to Hamilton. They warned us that this could become a problem. In fact, Hamilton viewed the judiciary, he dismissed. That the judiciary would become a threat because it was everybody knows it should be weak.

But instead, Madison, as he warned, it would become an all too powerful branch of government.

Well, it's a big problem. And quite frankly, I'm concerned about a possible constitutional crisis here. I mean, when you look at what these judges are doing, it's very clear. I mean, they're not trying to hide what they're trying to do. And the reality is we've got to get the President's agenda through.

Congressman, real quickly, because I want to switch over to this very important story coming out of Nashville. First, Fox News is now reporting that two committees, Judiciary and Homeland Security in the House, are now opening investigations into the Democrat mayor of Nashville. Can you confirm that information? Yeah, absolutely.

So, you know, I was tipped off about some of the goings on in the mayor's office.

So I went to my own committee, which is Homeland Security, and then from there took it to the judiciary. And so we are launching a joint investigation into the Mayor of Nashville and the City of Nashville. Nashville is the jewel of the South. It is an economic engine of the South. With that, prosperity also becomes comes.

Some of the negatives that go with that.

So we have a gang presence, you have Indus thirteen, and all of those bad actors want to have a foothold in Nashville. ISIS came to Nashville and they began deporting individuals, and the mayor of Nashville has tried to interfere. And so the question is: did his interference? Cross the line, him becoming someone who was aiding and embedding illegal immigrants to be determined. But we also saw a state representative, Afton Ben, who literally used her vehicle to try to delay and detain ICE vehicles.

So there's a lot going on in Nashville, but we're going to be conducting an investigation. We're also going to look into see if Federal dollars flow through Nashville to one of these nonprofits, like this belonging fund. And have those monies been used to help illegals evade deportation?

Now, there had also been reports that the mayor was doxing federal agents. Any truth to that? Yes.

So again, we immediately so my team uncovered it. We talked to Fox News seventeen, the local station here. We immediately went to the homeland, the judiciary, and we reported it to the agency, not just the committee. And sent a letter, a notice to the city of Nashville that they needed to take that down, which they did. We received a response.

It was almost midnight last night that they were taking, undoxing the federal agents. That gives you insight as to this radical mayor, this leftist mayor. How he views law enforcement as the bad guy. He would rather defend murderers and rapists versus standing with the people of Nashville. I, for one, have had enough.

And it's a sad day when a member of Congress has to step in and defend a city from a woke activist mayor like Freddie O'Connell. He should be run out of office. You know, it's stunning, Congressman. If you were to tell somebody, oh, yeah, Nashville elected a radical leftist, people think, okay, wait a second, this is the hometown of the Southern Baptist Convention, country music. What is going on in Nashville that they're electing these radicals?

Well, I think you may see a pendulum shift in this next election, and it'll be over this very issue. I mean, just a few days ago, In Brentwood, which is a suburb of Nashville, you had a Chilean gang that was caught. where they were systematically burglarizing, breaking into homes. And one of those homes was a 15-year-old girl. She was in the bathtub.

Fortunately, she was able to hide and they did not detect that she was in the home.

So while she's hiding, they're ransacking the house. And so this is happening all over Nashville. Whether it's the cartels out of Mexico, MS-13, or Trinaragua, they're in every major city across America. As someone who's on homeland, I've received a classified briefing. I won't go into the details, but what I can tell you is.

whether it's the cartels in Mexico or some of these other gangs out of Central and South America, they have distribution networks throughout the United States of America that would rival FedEx. And we have the opportunity here to shut this down, but we have mayors like Freddie O'Connell. We were aiding and abetting illegals, essentially defending murderers and rapists. fighting with the cartels and these violent gangs We have to take a stand. We the people, and as a member of Congress, I represent part of Nashville.

I'm going to fight back. I'm going to make sure that this people and the residents of Nashville are safe. Congressman Annie Ogles joining us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line today. Congressman, another report coming out yesterday from Homeland Security, they listed, they outed the jurisdictions, sanctuary jurisdictions that are defying federal immigration law. Two of those districts are in your state of Tennessee, Nashville being one, Shelby County, which is where Memphis is located.

Your reaction to that, and what should the government do to crack down on these jurisdictions that are not following the president's executive orders?

Well, exactly what we're doing right now.

So with the Homeland and Judiciary Committees opening this investigation, we're putting the city of Nashville on notice. We're going to bring to light all of the things they're doing that the mayor's doing to aid and abet. illegals and to interfere with federal law enforcement. And then it should also be it puts the rest of these cities on notice that you know what, we're starting in Nashville, but we're coming to a city near you, and we will hold you accountable. And so, whether it's criminal activity, if the mayor actively helps.

illegals evade law enforcement or it could be by the way of sanctions and holding back funding. But that being said, there's a lot here. And again, let's be clear that the folks that were being deported under this most recent ICE raid Most of them had the already existing deportation orders. Many of them were criminals with convictions, murder, rape. drug smuggling, drug trafficking, human trafficking.

I mean, these are not good folks, and yet the mayor of Nashville is choosing criminals over his own citizens, and we're going to get to the bottom of this. And, Congressman, real quick before I let you go, and we so appreciate you coming on the national show today. I think it's important for us to understand and people understand this is not xenophobic. This is not hate or white supremacy. This is about taking care of the American people first, then taking care of the people trying to get to this country legally.

And if we've got any money or resources left over, that's when we can take care of other folks. But we've got to take care of Americans.

Well, absolutely. I mean, you literally have veterans in this country. Suicide rates are still in the twenty to twenty two per day. You have kids in schools. Like we have priorities That are citizens of this country.

And instead, you have these local activist mayors like the mayor of Nashville who would rather help illegals, murderers, and rapists over his own veterans, his own kids, and his district, in his jurisdiction. Again, it's time that we put our foot down. It's time that we start deporting. That's why we passed the big, beautiful bill. It wasn't perfect.

But it sends money, it secures the border, it sends money to homeland so they can continue the deportations. It also makes the Trump tax cuts permanent, which is good because it helps strengthen our economy. There's more to come. There's more rescions where we're going to give money back to the Treasury. We're going to keep doing cuts.

But uh there's a lot of work here, but these activist mayors, they need to be held accountable. Final question here, Congressman. What about these business owners, the restaurant owners, the guys who own these big construction companies that are hiring and, in some cases, knowing that they are hiring these illegals? Does there need to be a penalty? Do we need to be looking at punishing those guys as well?

Well, if you're actively hiring illegals, individuals with no Social Security number, or if you know that they have illegally obtained Social Security numbers, that's a crime. We have laws on the books for that.

So that's kind of a no brainer. But that being said, You have a lot of folks working in the United States who have fraudulently obtained social security numbers.

So again, when they come here, they cross that border illegally, that's a crime. If you're working without a social security number, that's a crime. If you have one that you obtained fraudulently, that's a crime. If you're driving without a driver's license, that's a crime. I mean, so the list goes on and on and on.

While we have to get back to this rule of law, we have to start deporting these folks. And look, I get people want to come here. But this is our country. We get to decide who comes in. We also get to decide who has to leave.

All right. Congressman, we're going to leave it there. Appreciate your great work bulldogging this. It is an important story, and we're glad that you guys are on top of all of this. Thanks so much.

Appreciate you having me. Congressman Andy Ogles, everybody, he represents an area in Middle Tennessee in the Nashville area.

So, wow, what a mess. And I am glad to see the Supreme Court stepping in and doing the right thing. By the way, today's court ruling, 7-2, you had Jackson Brown and Sodom IOR. We're the two dissenting voices there.

So good for the president. A lot happening today. The president is going to be talking to steel workers later this afternoon. Also, Elon Musk is going to be in the Oval Office, and we may try to dip in and take some of that live. That's going to be happening later in the show.

That number again, 1-800-839-8506, promo code STARNS. All right, welcome back, everybody. This is the Todd Starnes radio show broadcasting from beautiful Memphis, Tennessee. Let's go to the phone lines, Mark, from the villages in Florida, America's friendliest hometown. Hey, Mark, what's going on?

Hey, Todd, I've been busy. I had a a fool hit me from behind and took off and left me in the car and Some minor injuries and they haven't caught him yet, so I've been dealing with that. Oh, gosh. My suggestion to people is: put make sure you've got uninsured motor vehicles and also. Put cameras in your cars if you can to catch these people because it's just ridiculous.

But um What I'm going to talk about is these these judges. The court the the judges the job of the court is to interpret the law, not make the law. And Trump won this election by seventy seven million people. And we can't have a ha we can't have a handful of these people destroying this country. No, we can't, Mark.

And I think, look, I'm glad the Supreme Court weighed in. My concern is you can't always rely on the Supreme Court. The conservatives are a little wobbly right now.

So, I mean, in some of these, it's just very clear-cut that what these lower courts are trying to do is slow down the Trump agenda as much as humanly possible. Yeah, you got you know you you you've got it you've got these parrots these tariffs And these other countries are sitting back going, Heck, we're not going to do any kind of deals with them. It looks like They can't even control their own judges. Maybe we'll, you know, we'll be okay and we'll be able to get around this. But Trump needs to get around this.

and put a stop to it, go around these handful of judges that are doing this. Because these other countries are sitting back watching to see how this is going to turn out. And I think Trump's got the power. to to overturn this. They they should not be allowed to do this in any way, shape or form.

Yeah, no, look, I'm with you. And if it, if Push comes to shove, and you heard Congressman Ogles, and he's a pretty conservative guy, but even he was not, he would, he said that would be a dramatic step, going in and just completely dismantling the courts. But they've got that option. And, you know, if Push comes to shove, we may have to go down that path. But, you know, it's, we've got to reach a point.

And this is really a Republican mindset. And keep in mind, the Republicans have not been in leadership positions that terribly long. I mean, what was it? 60 years when Newt Gingrich took the speakership back in the 1990s, it had been decades before Republicans had actually been in the majority. In the House or the Senate.

So they're not used to it, and they've got to get a handle on this idea. They have got to rule with an iron fist because that's what the Democrats would do. I mean, Trump has the you know, the ho the second highest Whole people voting for him under cheating Biden was number one. We know all about that. But no, you're exactly right.

We have to put a stop to this and we have to take control of it because these judges that have been appointed by Biden or by Obama and whoever else, you know darn well that's who they're probably consulting to say, hey, you can do this, you can do that. You know, there's always a way around the horse's backside to get to his mouth. You know that. There you go. All right, Mark, by the way, Wyatt Cox out in our Nevada station says, tell Mark to get a Tesla and a gun rack.

I love that. All right. When are you coming to the villages? Oh, we're going to be coming down there. I'll tell you more about it coming up, Mark.

All right, the Christley family are holding their first press conference. It's underway right now, and we'll bring you a couple of snippets. From that, in just a little while, Todd and Julie Out right now.

They're out and free. They were pardoned by President Trump. They have been in jail since 2022, accused of defrauding banks of more than $36 million. Any of you folks watch that reality TV show? It was, you know, I mean, it had its moments.

Mm-hmm. Anyway, Chris Lee they're all very grateful to President Trump for the part. And their daughter, Savannah, actually spoke of it. You remember, she spoke at the RNC. And you could tell there was a concerted campaign to get her parents Out of jail.

Now, the Christleys are maintaining their innocence, and they're claiming that the federal government. really um railroaded them. But they were convicted of tax evasion, defrauding banks, got personal loans, and certainly had a lavish lifestyle.

So, we'll keep you updated on that story. Wow.

So, there is another crazy story brewing, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this one because. It um It involves Two big issues. within the Republican Party right now. And one of the interesting things about the Trump administration, they are definitely friendly to people of faith. There's no doubt about that.

No doubt about that at all.

However, when it comes to the actual culture war issues, things get a little, what's the word I'm looking for? Murky. That's the word I'm looking for. Murky. So Floyd Brown is a friend of mine.

I've known Floyd for a number of years. You may know the name as well. He was the founder of the Western Journal. Many of you read the Western Journal, one of the great conservative websites. And Floyd was appointed to a role within the Kennedy Center when just what, about a month or so ago.

So it was, and Floyd is also a devout evangelical believer.

So Floyd over the years has been very outspoken on Marriage and his belief that marriage is between one man and one woman. He is opposed to homosexuality. He believes it is a sin, and he has been very vocal about that. Floyd Brown's positions on those issues are pretty much shared with everybody in the Protestant and Catholic traditions.

So there's really nothing untoward about Floyd Brown's beliefs.

So anyway, the CNN, their investigative team, the K-Files, they did a big investigation, a big expose, and they uncovered, they went back years, and they uncovered all the things that Floyd Brown has said over the years about gay people and gay marriage. And they published a big hit piece yesterday.

So it came out yesterday. And look, it was ugly. I mean, they hate Floyd Brown because he's a Christian and he's opposed to gay marriage.

So, this became a problem at the Kennedy Center.

So, CNN reached out to the Kennedy Center and gave them warning. And they said, Hey, we're going to be doing this story. Would you like to comment? And of course, they said, No comment. But then, according to Floyd, The Kennedy Center folks called him in.

And said, we've got a problem here, and you have to renounce, you have to recant your beliefs that marriage is between one man and one woman. And if you don't do that, well, we're going to fire you. And Floyd Brown said, Well, look, guys, I'm honored to be here and I'm happy to serve our president, but I'm not going to renounce my belief that marriage is between one man and one woman.

So they fired him. Less than a month after they hired the guy.

So Floyd put out a statement yesterday and talked about all of this. We have the story up at ToddSterns.com and I'd encourage you to go and read the story at ToddSterns.com. Brown says that he went to the people at the Kennedy Center and said, Hey, what's going on here? and Brown said the only explanation is the one given to me at the time of my firing. Floyd, you must recant your belief in traditional marriage and your past statements on the topic, or you will be fired.

Needless to say, I refused to recant and was shown the door. my beliefs are much more common to Biblical Christianity. And sure enough, by the way, this is the headline of the CNN attack piece. Far right with history of. Anti-gay comments fired from leadership role at Kennedy Center after CNN investigation.

So CNN got their scalp. Yeah. And it looks as though the Trump administration allowed CNN to get that scalp.

Now, what's interesting about this, Rick Grinnell is the president of the Kennedy Center. And Rick's a good guy, Rick is gay, Rick is married to a dude. And Floyd Brown believes. That Rick Grinnell got intimidated by CNN. And that's the reason he was given the heave-ho.

Brown says, It's an honor to work at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and with the many amazing people who are employed here. Comments rooted in my personal Christian views, which I have made in the past, have no impact upon my work here at the Kennedy Center, nor do they impinge on my interactions with colleagues who do incredible work for the patrons of the center. As a Christian I am called to work with others of different beliefs and world views. Brown went on to say that there was no intention.

I'm reading from ToddSterns.com. Brown said there was no intention to offend anyone with his Christian beliefs. Quote, I have never intended to attack or demean any person in my statements and have always shared the mission of Jesus, striving to love others unconditionally. The amazing beauty of the MAGA movement, and this is an important statement, listen to this. The amazing beauty of the MAGA movement is that we have people of many different beliefs inside our tent.

We are all working together in unity to make America great again.

Now I I agree with this statement. Look, I don't hold any visions of, I don't know, delusion that the White House is some sort of a church house. Yeah. The White House is political. Capitol Hill, it's political.

And they're going to be doing things and Trump's going to do things that I will disagree with and even might go against my particular religious beliefs. But I'm okay with that because I believe with President Trump about ninety five percent Okay, 99% of everything he says.

Okay, 99.9%. I'm just telling you, there may be a few things here or there. that I might disagree with the President on. It's not a big deal. But When you turn around and you tell someone like Floyd Brown, oh, you have to renounce your religious beliefs or you can't be a part of the administration.

I got a problem with that. I've got a big problem with that. That sort of thing. thinking Has no place in modern American politics. And I say that because during the first Trump term, Senator Bernie Sanders.

During a congressional hearing, it was the confirmation hearing for Russell Vogt. And Russ is a devout evangelical Christian. And Bernie Sanders said that he did not believe anybody who believed that Jesus is the only way to heaven should be allowed to serve in the federal government. That's what he said. It was a litmus test.

The late Senator Dianne Feinstein did the same thing. It's a litmus test. And that's what it certainly looks like at the Kennedy Center. We've reached out, haven't heard any comments back from the Kennedy Center. And I like to think this is all a great big misunderstanding, and I'm hoping it is.

But to outright fire a guy just because he believes marriage is between a man and a woman and seeing it hates the guy's guts. It just seems to me it makes the Kennedy Center look even worse that they got rid of the Christian guy. I'm just saying.

So, anyway, if Brown's versions of events are accurate, and I've known Floyd for a very long time, it would be very unusual if he was making all of this up, and I don't believe he is. But if his version of events is in fact accurate, this is a very Bad problem here that's got to be fixed. You cannot fire somebody just because they hold to a certain set of religious beliefs. And a lot of folks in the Christian community are very concerned about this. Going back to the last summer when the Republican National Committee got together and they weakened, softened the party's position on a lot of those key culture issues.

And by the way, what just happened at the Kennedy Center is why people were concerned that we cannot be weakening this sort of language within our party.

So I'm hoping President Trump is paying attention to this. He's got a lot of stuff on his plate. He can't be bothered by silly missteps here. And that's what this looks like. I hope.

But the question is very simple, ladies and gentlemen. Should people who hold these very devout religious beliefs be allowed to serve. in public service. 901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926.

All right, we're going to take a quick break, folks, and we'll be going to your phones. It is, again, open line Friday here on the Todd Stearns show. I have to tell you. Mm-hmm. Right now on the streets of New York City. ICE agents are arresting illegals. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what I voted for. You look at what's happening in places like Tallahassee, Florida, where they actually raided a.

construction site over near Florida State. and the illegals there working construction. I mean, there were more than one hundred this is according to ICE, more than one hundred illegals arrested in Tallahassee, Florida yesterday. It was part of a joint operation involving, I mean, all sorts of U.S. Marshals, drug enforcement, the whole nine yards.

I want to go back to something I asked Congressman Ogles about because it just seems to me that if you are a business owner, you have a responsibility to make sure the people in your employee are actually legal citizens. Right. And if they're not, well, that's on you. I mean, if you haven't done your due diligence, that's on you, and you need to face charges as well. Because you're taking jobs away from hardworking Americans and you're giving them to illegals.

I mean, it really is that simple. All right, 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926 on this Open Line Friday. By the way, we have also been giving away some VIP tickets to our big book launch, and we're very excited about this. The book launch happening on June the 12th.

We're having a big celebration here at Memphis, and we would love to bring a couple of you great folks to our exclusive party. And we are going to have a VIP section. And if you would like VIP tickets, give us a call. Cassie, let's take the first, we'll say the first two callers. We'll get VIP tickets to our big Todd Stern show book launch bash.

That again coming up on June 12th in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee, actually the suburb of Germantown. But it's still going to be pretty awesome. All right, as promised, here is some of that audio from the Christley Inter the Todd Christley press conference that just happened. Take a listen. Do you have any reward for the actions that led to your evictions?

You must be seeing him. Do I have any remorse? I would have remorse if it was something that I did.

Okay.

Well, you might be apologized last year if every year.

Well, let me explain to you how that works, if you don't mind. You're placed in a position as a defendant. To either bow down and kiss the ass at the Department of Justice and accept responsibility for things that you did not do in order to avoid a stronger sentence. And the corruption that went on in our case is going to continue to unfold, and Alex is going to continue to give each and every one of you the evidence as it comes in. I have no doubt about that.

No doubt whatsoever.

Now, I don't know if they did what they did or not, but I can tell you this: the Justice Department is corrupt as the day is long, and I can only hope and pray they get all of that worked out. It is going to take a long time to root out all. All of the uh deep swamp state dwellers there at the DOJ. This story from Seattle.

Now, I don't know about you, but back years ago when I was in school, I our school offered these things called honors classes. They had a gifted program. I happened to be in the Honors English. I was pretty good at writing, and so I got to take Honors English. I was in remedial algebra.

That was not a good subject for me. It was it was pretty terrible actually. But again, the whole point of those classes are to challenge students. And if you've got some particular gifts in a certain subject, they want to really push you. To make you a better scholar.

And I think it's a wonderful thing. I truly benefited from everything I learned in those gifted classes. But apparently that's a Bad thing, I guess, in Seattle, Washington. The New York Post reporting that the Seattle School District has decided to permanently dismantle its gifted and talented program. According to the New York Post, administrators Found that the program was oversaturated with white and Asian students.

They cited a survey dating back to 2018 that found 70% of the students in the gifted program in Seattle were, in fact, white.

Now, school leaders had been hoping for a more inclusive. and equitable and culturally sensitive program. In other words, they did not want the best and the brightest. Instead, they were hoping for some sort of a, I don't know, a rainbow flavor of kids. And that's just not the reality.

Now, what's fascinating about the breakdown here It's not all it's it's not as bad as you might think it is.

Now, keep in mind that most of the people who live in Seattle, Washington are in fact white people.

So, clearly, you're always going to have higher numbers in whatever you're doing. But anyway, the school leaders said, no, no, no, no, no. The point was not about finding the best and the brightest students. We've got to have diversity. We've got to have we've got to make sure that we're culturally sensitive.

So there you go. That's what they, instead of the best and the brightest, they wanted diversity. And they're going to be reworking this honors program. To again make sure that you have, if you've got two white kids, you're going to have to have two Hispanic kids, you're going to have to have two black kids. I mean, that's how it's going to go down.

And again, it doesn't matter if the kids are qualified or not. It doesn't matter. But here's what's going to happen: when you start admitting people into an honors program and they're not qualified, the teacher will start teaching down to the lowest denominator in the class.

So your gifted programs are just going away. All that to say. If you were going to Starbucks. anywhere in the Seattle area. Mm.

Don't i Do not count on getting proper change and definitely don't count on the kids learning how to spell your name correctly because that's not going to happen anymore. All right, coming up, we've got our good buddy Joe Messina is going to join us from our terrific affiliate out in Santa Clarita, California. We've got a lot more. Also, we're going to be talking to Ryan Helfenbein from Liberty University and your calls as well on this Open Line Friday. 901-260-5926 is our number.

That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Live from the Liberty University Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, it's common sense conservative commentary from Todd Starr. Shut up. That's right.

I love this American.

Well, hello, everybody. Welcome to the Todd Stearns Radio Show. Happy Friday to you, by the way. Today is Open Line Friday, and that is an opportunity for you to weigh in on whatever is happening out there across America. Write down our telephone number.

You will need this: 901-260-5926. Again, that number is 901-260-5926, and we'll be taking your calls throughout the program today. All right. Coming up this hour, President Trump is going to be holding an Oval Office event with Elon Musk. You know, this is Elon's last day on the job.

And contrary to the reporting you're hearing from the legacy media, the drive-by media, Elon's not getting fired. He's not leaving in a hoff. This is the end of his term. He's only allowed to be a special government employee under the law for about 130 days, and 130 days have come and gone.

So there's nothing untoward going on. That being said, Elon is very disappointed. in the fact that Congress has not been codifying all of these Doge cuts. And I think Elon has some great frustrations. Elon's got a problem with the Big Beautiful Bill.

A lot of people have a problem with the Big Beautiful Bill, but that is the compromise part of politics.

Sometimes you're going to get what you want.

Sometimes you're not. And that's really the reality of it. But again, when you look at what Elon Musk has done. It really is quite remarkable. A guy who came to this country wanting to claim the American dream, he saw all sorts of corruption and grift happening in Washington, D.C.

And he's basically setting aside, putting aside his own business interest so that he can focus on the interest of the American people. And I don't know about you, but I respect that. I have total respect for Elon Musk. And man, there are some nasty hit pieces out there. A lot of people say, oh, the guy's on drugs.

Well, you know what? If that's what it took for him to uncover the fact that we were trying to turn mice into transgender little freaks, then you know what? Smoke it if you got it. No, I'm not advocating drug abuse. I'm just saying, I'm trying to make a point here, a broader point.

Don't do drugs, kids. Just say no. What you talking about? Ah, that was a great T V show. Different strokes.

Anyway, I digress.

So, look, we will try to dip into this press conference as it happens, but I'm curious about Elon Musk. What'd you like about what Elon did? And and should Elon consider coming back at some point? I know he's got a lot of stuff going on. He wants to get us to Mars so that we can build a colony.

I mean, he's got a lot of irons in the fire. But honestly, if We are only at the tipping point here of finding all of the grift and the corruption. By the way, the Trump administration says they're going to be deporting about 3,000 illegals a day. I think that's the latest math I saw on that. And I really do hope that the administration is able to do that.

But the reality is, even if they did, that's a little over what, a million people a year. During The Clinton administration, Bill Clinton, during his, well, he had an eight-year term. During his term in office, Bill Clinton deported over 14 million illegals.

So I'm happy to hear those numbers, but you've got to understand the context here. Yes, Trump is saying we've got about 20 million illegals. If we're only going to be deporting about 3,000 a day, and don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're doing that. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I'm not doing that.

I'm just saying.

If we maintain that pace, we're looking at maybe just maybe 4 to 5 million illegals being removed from the country during the Trump administration. That would still leave about 15 million. And I believe those numbers are actually higher than 20 million. I think we're looking at probably between 20 and 40 million illegals living in this country. 901-260-5926.

Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926.

So there's an interesting story in the New York Post. Apparently it's never been a better time to date as a conservative. And what I found fascinating about all of this is that the story takes place in New York City. New York City singles are now looking for the right stuff, as in. Conservatives.

And they want to make America hot again. I will say this, and I will fight you to the death on this. We have the most beautiful women in America who listen to the Tom Stearns radio program. Also, I will just throw this out there, and this is a verifiable fact that we have. Out of all the talk shows out there, we have the largest female audience of the talk shows Noon to 3 Eastern.

And we're very honored by that. But we worship women on the Todd Stearns radio show. We love you, ladies. We think y'all are pretty awesome. But again, not only do we have the hottest babes, and it's okay to say babes, right?

We can say babes, but we have the hottest conservative babes. And, babe, I don't care if you're 21 or 81. If you're a conservative, you're a babe. And I love that. But we worship and we honor and revere women here on this program.

And I think that's one of the reasons why ladies like to listen to the program, listen to the show. What was it Rush used to have? What did Rush used to call? Rush would do the same thing, and he would post we he would post a lot of the photos of the female listeners. They would send in photos and they'd post them on the website.

Maybe we ought to consider doing that. Parker, get on that. We'll put that on the to-do list.

So anyway, um back to the story. Young singles in New York City say they are looking to make America hot again and the hottest pickup line in the singles bars today. What was the hottest line back when you were growing up? Back in the nineteen fifties and the sixties and the seventies, What was the hottest pickup line? The one that actually worked?

Because today, according to the New York Post, the hottest pick up light in a singles bar, I mean, Parker, you're a college guy. Do you D do you have a pickup line that you like to use? Do you have one in particular? I don't. I really don't.

And it's Such a weird thing, 'cause that's something that gets talked about. Like, you know, what's your pickup on? Like, what's your go-to? I just. Don't have it.

You don't have what? I don't. All right. For me, I think it's worked out pretty well. You don't walk around campus playing, you know, Barry White music or anything.

I do not. All right. You don't talk on a lower register. Hey, baby. Yeah.

You like basketball? I'm just saying.

But according to the New York Post. The hottest pickup line in a singles bar is high. I'm MACA. That's the pickup line. And if you are, and I guess that's code for the ladies that you actually pee standing up, and you know, God forbid the building catches fire, they're going to carry you out.

And that is highly unlikely if you're dating a a Democrat man. According to the Post, Comely Conservatives are simply looking for a mate. Yeah. This is a great line. Are simply looking for a mate to MAGA with.

And they're breaking through in big blue cities at right-wing ragers and targeted dating apps at Trump rallies. C.J. Pearson is the co-chair of the GOP Youth Advisory Council. He says it's never been a better time to date as a conservative, punching back against a New York magazine piece, smearing his diverse D.C. inauguration party as all white.

CJ Pearson's black. That was a weird story. Quote, being conservative right now is the coolest it's ever been, said one DC political adviser, boasting that women want to be with a guy who's a provider and who they feel safe around. I like that. Is that true, ladies and gentlemen?

And I'm telling you, if here's, I will just go out on limb here. But, ladies, if you're looking for a guy and say you go to his, I don't know, whatever social media platform young people use now, and that guy's got his pronouns listed, I don't think that guy's going to be able to provide for you or carry you out of a burning building. I'm just saying.

Mr. Peterson says being conservative right now is the coolest it's ever been. For magazineals looking for love like Rachel or Raquel Debono, hotness is a bipartisan issue, and that's why she founded Make America Hot Again, a cheeky movement throwing parties for young conservatives around New York City at hotspots like sincerely Ophelia and Trump Tower. No more of these stuffy CPAC vibes, the 29-year-old said. We actually have fun, and we're normal.

Now, may I just say something? Um We've done the show quite a bit at CPAC, and we've noticed there is a, at least up until now, there has been a dress code, an unofficial dress code. I mean, if you're a guy. You show up in khakis and a blue blazer. That's pretty much the official uniform of the conservative movement.

But now they're saying that's not the case, they're diversifying. Raquel Depono formerly worked for the Date Right stuff app and now runs Make America Hot Again Events. She joined singles Ready to Mingle at a recent Make America Hot Again black and white party. And then she talks about what they are doing, and it is very, very naughty.

So I'm curious about this, ladies and gentlemen. Do you ask people when you're going out on a date or when you got married, you're out there looking for a mate, do the politics of the person play into that. Do you want to find out where they stand on some of the big issues of the day before you go out on a date? I am curious because there are people that'll do that. They'll ask, oh, you know, yes.

So What do you think about Trump?

So, what do you think about MAGA? I mean, you can get a pretty good indication. of who a person is based on their politics, whether they go to church or not. 901-260-5926. Our telephone number.

That's 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Star Show. I'm not sure if I can do it. All right, welcome back, everybody. Happy to have you with us today.

Stephen Miller, you got to love this guy. He was on CNN earlier this morning and really called them out over their use of what he called fluffy terminology when referring to illegals. Take a listen. Undocumented migrant sent a letter threatening to kill the president, promising to self-deport after the assassination. CNN reporting shows that investigators believe the migrant was set up, was a victim of a setup.

What is the administration going to do now? And this is an undocumented immigrant. I do want to note that, but this was someone who came forward, was a victim of a crime, and now law enforcement believes he was set up. Go ahead. I want to clarify what you mean so we're talking about the same thing.

Are you saying this this immigrant was here illegally? Yes, but I am, and that's why I said that. I clarified that. You said undocumented, and I wasn't clear what that means. I'm assuming they have a fake ID.

I'm assuming they have a fake ID security. That's neither here nor there. That's getting away from the question, Steven. I want this to be, and call me naive, a good faith discussion about what's happening right now. But when we use language that's designed to obscure the truth, that's not good faith.

They're not an undocumented non-definite.

Okay, that's fine. That's another discussion for another date. I don't know the details of the assassination threat. All I can say, based on what you're telling me, is there's an illegal alien in our country who's making menacing threats. Regardless of the facts or circumstances, we don't want him here.

We're going to get to the bottom of it, and I would gladly come back on whatever information is shown. They were set up, just to be clear. But quickly, where are we? I'm saying the illegal alien was treated unfairly. Yes, I'm sure the illegal alien was treated very unfairly.

Yes, true. They care more about the illegals than they do law abiding American citizens. I mean, given the choice, they will always side they will always, always side With the illegals. That's the way it is. As a matter of fact, you've got Chris Cuomo out there.

Just to illustrate this point, Chris Cuomo over at News Nation, which is turning out to be, you know, they claim to be fair and balanced right down the road. They really don't right down the middle. They don't take a side. No, these people are just as liberal as CNN and MSDNC are. This is Chris Cuomo last night talking about illegals and defending illegals.

Cut number two. Change how I feel about the parties. They are the problem. They are the root. Of this binary battle to the bottom.

The division is almost exclusively manufactured. We are fighting over culture issues and controversies that are completely made up. We divide this country over a single homicide. Of somebody, and it's absolutely wrong. What happened to Lake and Riley is horrible, it's one too many, any way you want to look at it.

But it is also an artificial. Uh issue. We have crime issues in this country. Our homicide problem is not from illegal immigrants, okay? Yeah, but there shouldn't be any.

There shouldn't be any of a lot of things that we haven't made a top priority. The division is manufactured.

Okay.

So he's saying that Lake and Riley's murder was a one-off, that there was really no, there's not a problem in America with illegals committing crimes. You just heard Chris Cuomo say that. That is simply not accurate. As a matter of fact, Thousands, thousands of illegals have been caught committing heinous crimes. Against American citizens on American soil, by the way.

So, this is not some sort of a random occurrence. And when you look beyond just rapes and murders and look at the carjackings and the armed robberies and the assaults and the gangs. Ladies and gentlemen, It's just absolutely insane. The amount of crime that's happening and that's being caused in this country. By illegals.

And for Cuomo to get out there on national TV and say that only one person's been killed by an illegal, that's a load of hooey. And it's not even great A whoey. It's a load of hooie. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's 901-260-5926.

Folks, we are so excited about the launch of our new book, already named a bestseller on Amazon. It's called Star Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots. So again, head over to toddstearns.com right now and be sure to check out Star Spangled. Spangle blessings, devotions for patriots Franklin Graham, Dr. Paul Chample, Pastor Robert Jeffers, and the great novelist Karen Kingsbury are among those who have endorsed this particular little project and cannot wait for you to read this fun little book. All right, this story out of Union County, North Carolina. The high school yearbook causing trouble, causing controversy.

One of the graduating seniors posted a quote that read from the river to the sea.

Well, that kind of ticked off most of the Jewish people there in town. The school district has launched an investigation into how the quote ended up inside the Marvin Ridge High School yearbook, and they have now stopped distributing the yearbook to students. The Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte, North Carolina. Telling a local TV station that the phrase was first actually used by a terrorist group, the Palestinian Liberation Organization, PLO. Anyone remember that?

So the school district says they are reviewing their editorial process to prevent something like this from happening again. That phrase, ladies and gentlemen, is a blatant example of anti-Semitism. Need to figure out how that got in the school yearbook. Jeez-A-Loo. All right, hang tight, everybody.

Got to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Oh my Welcome back to the Touchstarns Radio Show. Good to have you with us today. Our telephone number, 901-260-5926.

That's 901-260-5926. Let's go to the Patriot Mobile newsmaker line. Joe Messina joining us today, great radio host out on the West Coast. How are things doing over in Santa Clarita? We are hot.

Yeah. We are very going to hit the hundreds today. Oh, it's for like a comfortable 70 degrees. And then somebody flicked a switch somewhere.

Somebody's going to find that switch and turn it off again. How does that happen? I thought you guys were supposed to get that cool ocean breeze. We we are oh, I'm not near the ocean. We're we're called the high desert here, you know, it's nice and dry and it gets breezy, but man, it gets hot.

Uh, it gets pretty hot up here. My wife says I we moved about thirty miles outside of the doors to hell. Oh, I guess somebody needs to close the door. And crank up the AC. Yeah, right.

They can't afford it. Joe, today it is a going away day for Elon Musk, and they'll be doing a press conference here momentarily at the White House. I'm wondering, though, when you look at what Elon has done, what do you think his legacy is going to be in this administration? You know what? I was just thinking about that before I came on with you, and I was thinking that Elon's going to be known as that guy.

who love this country, not even a native, you know, native born American. who loved his country enough and saw the corruption, he was willing to give up his time. His money, obviously, to try to make things better for us. And he was willing to dig, and he was willing to take the beating. I I hope he's held in high high esteem, almost as high as maybe a true freedom fighter for Americans.

I mean, the fact that he uncovered so much and the amount of work he was able to get done, you know, I think, first of all, he showed that you can do that in Washington, D.C. And the bigger question now is, will Congress be able to take action on all of this crime and corruption he uncovered? You know, I mean, do we have a Republican Congress? I'm trying to figure this out seriously. I was just talking about this last night, and some of my callers said.

Look, why do why is not a bill following every one of the EOs that the President puts out there? Why hasn't Johnson sat down and put together conference a comprehensive immigration bill? We've talked about this for decades. I've heard about it for decades. And and and we've got the I won't say we've got total power, But at least if we did it bill by bill and we put it up in their faces, we can say, look, The Dems are now they want to investigate Doge.

Did you hear about that? They want to investigate Doge. Not who took the money, not where the money went, not who the criminals were, but Doge.

So I I got to tell you, I wish our people truly would get off their butts, start putting these bills forward and make the DIMS stick up and stand up for the the positions they take on things. Yeah, look, I'm with you, and it's you know, it's either going to happen or they're going to lose in the midterms. I mean, it really is that simple. So, I hope they do the right thing here, and we'll see how that plays out.

Meanwhile, back in California, this story from Politico: your governor trying to appear to be conservative again.

So, now he is siding with the Trump administration on this transgender athletics issue. And under, again, President Trump is throwing down the hammer and threatening to pull all federal funding. No, he's not, Todd. It's one of those little shell games.

So what he's doing, he's working with he's working with the Californias, it's called the CFI. They they take care of all sports up and down the state. And so what they're doing is they're allowing now those girls, those women, that came in second. that to come back in and get to come back in and and uh and compete again.

So they're playing word games with us. They're playing little games with us. They're not fanning. Men from Girls Sports. Unbelievable.

Yeah, I'm I'm just I don't understand why there is not so much more anger among even Democrats in California with what that party has done to to that beautiful state. You know, Todd, we've talked about this before. It's kind of like They've been conditioned for decades that Republicans bad, Republicans bad. And I don't know if you remember when Newsom was voted back in, when he beat the recall, and he was voted back in as governor, a lot of people doing the exit polls. What you heard was.

I'm afraid of the Republicans. I don't know if I could stand Republican rule in this state.

However, you did see recently there was a poll that said seventy eight percent of Californians would consider voting for a Republican at this point in time, but We need a strong Republican to run. Who is that person, by the way? Who is the strong Republican that should run? Uh You know, um Uh got uh Rick Ridnell. He should run.

I think he is well received in the state. He's well received by Dens and Republicans. Uh you've got um You've got the sheriff. Please He's got a problem. And I don't know if you heard about this, but He knelt at one of the BLM uh events.

and there are pictures of him all over the place.

Now he said he was just trying to keep the peace, and I get it. I understand he didn't want to start a riot, but that's not going to play well. And God bless Steve Hilton for throwing his name in the half, because you know he's going to be tagged as that right-wing guy, Fox News. And that kind of stuff.

So it's it the two of them will have a hard time, at least that's what I believe. And I think there are no strong Republicans that are willing to step up and do the job here. That can really really take the votes they need to take to win. And Grinnell may be the right pick for California. You know, the challenge, Aaron, we talked about this earlier in the show: this crazy story involving the Western Journal founder Floyd Brown getting fired from the board over at Kennedy Center because he refused to renounce his religious beliefs on marriage.

And Kennedy Center's claiming up and But again, I don't think that issue would hurt Grinnell at all. If he was running in California, do you? No, no, no, not at all. I I I don't think so at all. And I I you know, that irritates me as I'm sure it irritates you as well.

If that is 100% truth as to why the guy was let go. It would show that Gridel really doesn't believe in freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion. But here in California, The Republicans who tend to be socially liberal in the state. would be more inclined to vote for him. The rank and file Democrats would be more inclined to vote for him.

than some of the other ones that we've got stepping up for these seats. All right. Joe, we're going to leave it there. Things going well with the sh with your national show. Yes, sir.

I always enjoy new listeners, and there's a lot to talk about. We could do five hours a day, couldn't we, Todd? Yes, we could. We certainly could. I don't want to.

I'm not working that on you or me, but we could. Lots happened. A lot of good stuff happened. Absolutely. Joe Messina, ladies and gentlemen, out in beautiful Santa Clarita, California.

Joe, have a great weekend, my friend. YouTube. God bless Todd. All right. There you go, folks.

We're going to take a quick break here: 901-260-5926. Our number again, 901-260-5926. This is the Todd Stern Show. Bear Um Uh Um Uh You know, one of the things that I just really appreciate about Donald Trump. Yeah.

His ferocious fight against Harvard University. The Ivy Leagues have really Damaged our nation. I mean, when you looked at the numbers of people in power in Washington, D.C., in the halls of Congress, most of those folks were educated at an Ivy League school.

So they have had a profound negative impact on the country, which is why the president has been talking about taking $3 billion away from Harvard and then reallocating that money to vocational schools.

So on News Max this week had a wonderful, wonderful story, an interview with some folks from Northwest Mississippi Community College, and they're doing some incredible work when it comes to the trades. I want you to listen to this great interview we did with Andrew Dale from Northwest Mississippi Community College. Andrew Dale, the Associate Vice President of Community Relations of Northwest Mississippi Community College. Good to have you with us this evening on Newsmax, sir.

So I have to imagine you guys might be very excited to get a few of those billions of dollars. We'd love to tap into whatever the president would like to throw our way that Career technical education is really expensive. You can have classroom sizes 30 and less usually. It's vastly different from an academic classroom and the tools that they use inside those classrooms and supplies they use on a daily basis are also not cheap as well.

So getting getting those classes to complete, those students to complete those roles can be uh a hefty undertaking. You know, I'm just curious. For so many years in the country, students were told by government leaders that you got to have a four-year college degree, and if you don't get a four-year college degree, you're not going to be able to live that American dream. Along comes the Trump administration, and they've been very supportive of the trade arts, especially. I'm wondering if you guys have seen the results of that, with maybe students coming back and wanting to look at a community college or a trade program.

Honestly, the college's highest growth area in the last four years has been in career technical education. I think we've grown by 70 percent. Northwest Community College has added a career technical campus, we've added programs. There's been a tremendous amount of growth in that area because that's what students want to do. Also, there's a lot of economic development in Mississippi as well.

You might have heard our governor talking about the Mississippi Miracle, which is education-related, but he also touts all of this economic development growth that's happening where industry is investing in the state, and the institutions need to be able to meet that demand for an employable workforce.

So, the students that we have are tapping into some of the programs that you see on the screen there, where they can learn really quickly, they can jump in the job force, the workforce. Just after two years of learning their trade and basically be debt-free, that's hugely different from what happens. For a student who goes for maybe five years to a four-year school, then goes again to get a master's degree or a doctorate. And everybody, you know, we need medical doctors, but we also need individuals to do these really high-skilled jobs to keep our economy running, to do the jobs that maybe nobody else wants to do. You know, it's really expensive to call a plumber these days.

And if you pay attention to what Mike Rowe is talking about on the skills gap that he keeps mentioning on his podcasts, and he's been talking about it for a few years now, career technical education really is the way to go. Yeah, and again, there has been such a perception issue here. And the reality is: look, four-year colleges, great. If that's what you want to do, that's great. But a trade school, a vocational school, community college, you're going to be able to get the same level of education and, quite frankly, with probably not as much college student loan debt.

That is so true. We have students who stay local. They get the instruction that they need and they can jump right in the workforce and make a six-figure salary really quickly. There's a local business that makes medical grade devices, their implants. And the tools that they use are really high quality tool and die.

Programmed lathes, if you will, so that you can take a scan of a medical patient. Understand the exact size you need. For instance, my grandmother had three hip replacements. She wore out the two God gave her and one the doctor put in, and one of those devices, the newest one, was made for her specifically. There's no one-size-fits-all really anymore in medicine, and be able to make those devices that can go in patients is really a high-skilled job and something we would all want.

More comfortable for the patient. The whole process makes it easier. And it's not, you know, you don't have to go to medical degree to do that part of the job.

So it's something that has to be done.

Well, it's a fair point. And again, it's exciting to hear that not only are students flocking to schools like Northwest Mississippi, but they're able to get out of there, get into the workplace, and make some good money as well. And we'd love to hear those success stories. Andrew Dale, we appreciate you coming on. Congratulations to all that great success.

Yes, sir. Thanks for having us on. All right. Wow, that's exciting to know. And we were talking, gosh, it was a couple of weeks ago, and somebody called in from Statesville, North Carolina, and they were talking about how not only has their vocational school been successful, there is a waiting list of people trying to get in.

And that tells me that there has been a shift in culture around the country. And people are finally waking up and realizing: you know what? I really don't need a college degree. to do X, Y or Z.

So anyway, curious to hear your thoughts on that. 901 260 5926. That's 901260 5926. This story from the San Francisco Chronicle. Apparently, school leaders there are now taking a Um they're making some changes.

And the folks in San Francisco have decided to scrap the equity grading program. In other words, homework and attendance in school. would not affect their grades. They made the change one day after it was implemented. School officials took a sudden U-turn reading from the Chronicle.

On the initiative that would have effectively let kids skip homework and cut class. and retake their exams. Parents and politicians alike. including Mayor Daniel Lurie, trashed the experimental Grading for Equity initiative as soon as the school board unveiled it on Tuesday. This is bonkers crazy.

Grading for equity would have also lowered the point threshold for letter grades. Under the program, a kid would only need 80% to get an A. 41% got them a C.

So, in other words, an F would now be a C. This is ridiculous. Here's how bad it is. It's so bad that even the liberals who can still read in San Francisco know it is a lousy proposition. Holy smokes.

Critics on both sides of the political spectrum said grading for equity was just not the answer. Quote: My immigrant dad asked me where the missing 10% went when I scored a 90%. He came to America for the chance to work hard and pursue excellence. This is from Congressman Roque Kahana, who, by the way, Is uh he's got some big national aspirations, this guy does. Giving A's for eighty per cent and no homework is not equity.

It betrays the American dream. And every parent who wants more for their kids.

Well, it's true, they do.

So what You gotta love it, folks. You gotta love it. The mayor says we owe our young people an education. that prepares them to succeed. The proposed changes to grading would not accomplish that.

70 teachers were to test the new system, but parents cried foul this week. Board members wanted $172,000. for the training program. Holy smokes. Anyway, there you have it.

Good for you folks there in San Francisco. I'm telling you, we're coming to a point in America where it's not so much about liberal versus conservative. It's really about common sense. And who's got common sense? That's really what it's all about.

I truly believe that. All right, we've got to take a quick break here, folks. Coming up, we're going to be checking with our good buddy Ryan Helfenbein over at Liberty University. See ya. That's why I love this American. Time. Stars and hello, everyone. Welcome to the Todd Sterns Radio Program.

Happy Friday to you, wherever you might be across this great nation. Welcome. It is Open Line Friday. I want you to write down our telephone number. We're going to be going to your calls here just momentarily: 901-260-5926.

That's 901-260-5926. Don't forget 5 o'clock Eastern, the Todd Stern Show on Newsmax.

So we're going to have a busy afternoon. I do want to go to the phone lines. Let's say hello to Natalie, who is listening to us in Youngstown, Ohio. Natalie, what's on your mind today?

Well, I listen to you as much as I can, even when I'm working. I do housework, so I'll put the earphones on and go at it while listening to the end. You're spot on on everything that's being said. But thank you. Yes, you're welcome.

My son with the trade. how we're lacking with the trades, the different electricians H V H My son went through all of that when he graduated in 2005. And he is doing very well. and love what he does. And he has kept bettering himself for now, he's um He's got like different licenses to be a port.

Um with him, the company that he's hired with, now works for a Marathon Refinery. Introduction. Is that right? And I bet he's making some good money, too. Oh, yes.

And then, you know, my husband always says: everybody always needs heat, and everybody always needs the air conditioning. And you know, even with him working a full time job, he also does stuff on the side too.

So Yeah. There's always a demand for heat and air.

So if I'd like to encourage anybody, you know, Girl or guy? Get into it. It's a good deal. You know, there was a story a couple of months back, it may have been longer, about young ladies, you know, young girls like, you know, in their early 20s that were deciding not to go to college. And instead, they wanted to do HVAC.

And that is a huge area. And everybody needs air conditioning, everybody needs heating. Right. Right. And like I said, you can work for a company and still do stuff on the side and Make a little extra money, you know.

Natalie, I'm wondering, as a mom, was that a difficult decision for, you know, because a lot of parents were like, no, you gotta go to a four-year college. What what was your thought process through all of that? Um I loved it because he actually wrote: we went to a Christian school, we're born-again Christians, so he went to a Christian school. And the sad thing is the senior year, they had to write what they wanted to do for their life. you know, what they wanted to do when they graduated.

And that's what he put down on his paper. And he said, I've prayed about it, I have a peace about it. And the sad thing is, is his teacher discouraged him by saying, You need to pray more about this. And I'm like You know, I don't have any problem with it as long as they're following what God wants them to do. Then I'm happy.

I had two boys go to pastoral theology school, you know, and they get their pastoral theology degree. and my daughter went on to cosmetology school.

So Yeah. I don't have a problem with it. Like an and they're all doing wonderful and doing well. You see, and that's isn't that the key? The kids are doing what they feel called to do.

And for some it may be going to college, others it may be going to cosmetology school or going to a trade school. And again, you're not being forced into something that maybe is not just a good fit for you. Right. I like that. Like I was being forced myself.

I was being forced by my parents. Go to school, go to school, get a degree. I hated it and I quit. All I wanted to be was a mom. I waited for 30 years and did housework, and I have four kids, and I'm.

quite proud of where they're at in a good way. what they're doing. They're serving the Lord in churches and Have a wonderful job. Amen.

Well, I like to hear those kinds of stories, Natalie, and we certainly appreciate you calling in and hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for listening to us as you're working there. Let's go to Moorhead City, North Carolina. Lisa, listening to us on the talk station. Hi, Lisa.

What's on your mind today? Hi, Todd. I so enjoy your show. Thank you. I can love it.

Um First off, I'm a middle-aged biological woman. And you know how I've been in a really bad mood for over a decade. And if you'll Grant me the time to rant real quickly. Thank you for the warning in advance. Thank you.

You're welcome. I would find that quite gentlemanly if you will not let me get this out. I wrote it down so that way I could get it out quick. I enjoy your trips down memory lane. I also got licks in school and Junior high school.

Now, and if you got in trouble at school, back then you got in trouble at home as well. You just wouldn't do that. You wouldn't get in trouble at school. And I know that the boys got harder licks than the girls did, but that was when there were boys and girls. The interns that you have, I love listening to you going back and forth with them.

And bless the girl's heart that answers the phone. They don't understand God. I call them Gen Zips and Menzies. If you're over 30, you're a boomer. They can't understand certain processes.

Now, as far as the Christleys, here's my problem with that. If our law enforcement and attorneys weren't sex liars and corrupt, How are we supposed to know who is guilty and who is not guilty? And, like, the grannies that stand in front of abortion centers or the Jake Fixers who didn't. Damage property or people, and you know, they've got family and kids, or the long list of innocent Americans that plead guilty to things that they shouldn't be pleading guilty to. This is tyrannical, and it's not American.

Now, regarding the administration and the new Chinese immigrants, et cetera, I recently moved to North Carolina, and from my understanding, North Carolina is the fourth largest military installation in the U.S. And there's Smithfield here. And I love Smithfield Bacon, but I believe it's owned by the CCP. And there are some Chinese commissaries on some military installations And you know Walmart. That's basically full of Chinese products.

So we're either we either have to stop it or we just it is what it is. Then what else is my pet peeve? The Seattle protest. I was extremely um upset seeing the mother with the child and the baby.

However, Regardless if she was a Christian, Antifa, atheist. I would think that someone would know not to take their children and babies to. That kind of an event, knowing that there's gonna be violence there. I don't understand why she would do that. And last but not least, sir, this is it, I promise.

My third husband's pickup line was, you're not married, and I fell for it, hook line, and sinker.

However, I won't fall for that again. I'm ready for not interrupting. I got it out. Wow.

Lisa, you came loaded for Bear today. Good for you.

Okay.

Yeah. But I'm with you on the mom. I don't care who you are. Why are you bringing your baby to a protest? You never know what's going to happen at those things.

Right. Lisa, thank you for listening. You got to give us a call back. I love your list. I love the way you think as well.

That is an interesting come on pickup line, too.

So, there you go. Have a blessing. All right. You do as well, Lisa. Thank you for that.

901-260-5926. That's 901-260-5926. By the way, guys, you know, Parker, she gave you a little shout out there talking about the interns. That was fantastic, and I like the pickup line there. Yeah, write that down.

Yeah, you may.

Well, you're already spoken for. I am.

So there you go. So you may not have to worry about that. I'll pass that along. All right. There is a crazy story from our friend Jason Rance over in Seattle, speaking of Seattle, K-T-T-H.

And this is just Bonkers crazy.

So there is a. And you've got to bear with me, folks. There is a Christian-owned, women's-only spa in Seattle. It is a nude spa.

Now, I'm one of these people, I just like people touching me. I've never gotten a massage, have no desire. I don't like people touching me. But apparently some people do, and so there is a Christian owned, women's only nude spa in Seattle. Yeah.

And there was a big controversy because some big old dude decided that he wanted to be a woman. And he started showing up at the spa. Yeah. And this guy, mentally ill, predatory, biologically male pervert, as he has been described. Yeah.

and filed a lawsuit. And so a federal judge just issued a ruling, and this is from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. And they said that this women's only spa has to allow this big old hairy dude to enter the building. And the judge, Margaret McEwan. appointed to the bench by Bill Clinton, took it a step further.

And the judge says that banning men who identify as women from a women's spa would be the equivalent to having a restaurant banning black people. I'm having a hard time understanding that. ladies and gentlemen. But again, this is the sort of cultural chaos that has been wrought on this great nation of ours. And it's really a sad thing that's happening to this lady that owns this spa, the Olympus Spa.

Yeah. And the state of Washington literally mandate, mandated, the state of Washington came in and said, no, no, no, no, you've got to let this dude into your spa, ladies. And they punished the spa. I mean, they have a human rights commission there, and this is a traditional Korean spa. Oh, I wonder if they do the food as well, like the little um, you know.

No, Bonh Mi is Vietnamese. Never mind, I take that back. Whatever the Chin the South Korean food is.

So anyway, they had a female-only policy. And they refused to allow transgender women unless they had gone through post-operative sex confirmation surgery. The spa cited the rule as essential for the safety, legal protection, and well-being of their customers, as well as they should. The policy based on the owner's Christian values that demand modesty as b being between the sexes, and that a male and female should not ordinarily be in each other's presence while in the nude unless they are married to each other. The spa attracts deeply religious customers.

It also has employees who refuse to perform massages or body scrubs on naked men. Ooh I just got creeped out there, folks. But the judge says that if you have a law that says white applicants only, this is a biological women entrance only, it seems to me they're quite parallel here. You can't have white people only come into my restaurant and then say, well, we have a religious, spiritual nature to our restaurant.

So the judge is saying the Christians have to suck it up. And they have to deal with us. It's unbelievable. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. That's Oak and Line Friday on the Todd Stern Show.

Um I'm the Really? Oh my. Wow.

Welcome back, everybody. This is the Tod Stearns radio show. That was an incident at an elementary school in West Memphis, Arkansas. This is insane. An elementary school graduation and parents broke out.

It was a melee. I mean a Maylight. The school district now announcing a zero tolerance response. multiple men and women throwing punches at each other, In the background, you can hear the little children and the little kids are over there like Mommy, daddy, stop, mommy, mommy, stop, please. Peace.

I've never seen anything like this. Everybody, the the video's gone viral. Television station WREG in Memphis, uh credited with getting the video first. One resident said that they can do the same thing, and it's a bad influence. They're not hailing themselves as adults.

One woman in West Memphis said the behavior sends the wrong message to the children. and says those who are involved should face consequences. By the way, have you seen the video? There's some weird video going around on X, and it's of a little child, I think, seven years old. And the child is waving around a gun, and he's doing the money thing.

He's doing the money toss. Seven years old. The superintendent said it is absolutely unacceptable. What the Parents Did They said such actions will not be tolerated. The police are now investigating.

And look, here's the deal. Arrest the blasted parents. Can we do that? I'm telling you, have you seen all the fights that are taking place? I don't know if it's just here in the South.

But man, You can't have graduation without somebody throwing a punch. It's the craziest thing I've ever. It is absolutely insane. Just insane. My condolences to the children because that is, you know, I mean, these are kids, you know, they don't want to see mommy in a headlock.

I mean, come on. 901-260-5926, our telephone number. Are you raising a living room child? or a bedroom child. According to a new study.

Parents are now being divided into a couple of categories. One of them is raising their kids as living room kids compared to bedroom kids. A living room child is a child who spends most of their time at home in shared spaces like the living room, the kitchen, or the dining room. But a bedroom child. Spends most of their time in the privacy of their Bedroom.

Whether your child is a living room or bedroom child goes deeper than where they spend their time. It's about why they spend their time in these spaces. An Instagram video has already generated 1.2 million views. They say living room kids feel safe, they're loud, goofy. All up under you because they belong here and they aren't trying to escape from anything.

On the other hand, They wrote that bedroom kids retreat, isolate, and go quiet. because the shared space doesn't feel like it's for them. According to the Instagram video, they say, We're not saying every child's personality is the same, but sometimes the mess, chatter, chaos in the living room, that's the sound of safety, of comfort, of connection. You know, this is fascinating. I never really thought about it like this.

They interviewed somebody from the Kids Mental Health Foundation. And they said that parents should feel overjoyed that their kids feel comfortable enough to be in a shared space. I mean, how many of you were ever Parker, I'm putting you on the spot multiple times today, were you like a living room child, or did you when you came home from school, did you just go right to your room and slam the door? Don't bother me.

So honestly, I feel like it was a mix. When I was younger, I was definitely more of like a living room. But like now it's a more bedroom.

Well, you're in college. That's what I do in college. Like, because I like to study by myself. The way they make it sound like in this story is that if your child likes to stay in the privacy of their room, they're going to be like, I don't know, wear all black, put guy liner on. That's a little extreme.

Yeah, you don't have guideliners, so that's definitely not. That's a good thing. We appreciate that. Anyway, children might choose to spend more time unwinding in their bedrooms during the school year, one psychologist said, since they are more socially stimulated by school and extracurricular activities when outside. May I just say this?

After the show, talking to millions of people every single day and then doing the TV show. When I go home, I don't want to talk to anybody. Right. And that's in my own living rooms.

So I think I can relate to that. But I'm curious, ladies and gentlemen, do you did you raise living room kids or bedroom kids? Fascinating study, 901-260-5926. Our telephone number, that's 901-260-5926.

This is Open Line Friday on the Todd Stern Show. And we want you to stand with Newsmax today for a strong America. Reuters, by the way, says Newsmax, one of the top 12 news brands in the nation. That's huge. And of course, don't forget, 5 o'clock Eastern. I will say this.

I'll just go ahead and predict this. My show will be interrupted at some point. President Trump is going to be speaking at a steel company, and we will take the president's remarks live.

So you'll be able to watch those exclusively on Newsmax. By the way, speaking of Newsmax, I had a great, great conversation with former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, now president of Young America's Foundation, and we set up. Up the interview by talking about this study where Democrats are trying to figure out how to attract young men back to their party. They have decided to seek the guidance of a morbidly obese. Um She's not trans, she's queer, and this morbidly obese, queer Latina person.

And we I her name escapes me, but anyway, my name is Olivia. Thank you. Jabba, Olivia. Anyway, here's that conversation.

Well, joining me now is Scott Walker, former governor of Wisconsin and president of the Young Americas Foundation. Governor, always good to have you with us.

Sorry for the visual there, Governor. My man, Cave, right here in Wisconsin. I'm in the basement right now talking to you. I'll go get you a Miller Light. I have.

There you go. I love it. All right. Look, this is pretty fascinating when you look at what the Democrats are trying to do. And I think they do realize they've got a problem.

But I'm wondering, you talk to young people and especially young men. They're at Young America's Foundation. What are you hearing from the guys? Yeah, we normally hear anecdotes. We actually did a survey, a poll since the inauguration just to see if things matched up with where they were before the election.

And it's interesting to see, you know, they just don't get it with some of these social issues. Overall, young people, not just young men, but overall young people believe it's not fair for men to be in women's sports. It's not fair to use race as a condition for employment or enrollment in college. They want the tax cuts passed because they're feeling the pain of high prices left over from bionomics. And specifically, if you look at some of the data about young men, four years ago in the 2020 election, at least one survey shows that they went about plus 15 for Biden over Trump.

This last November, they went plus 14 for Trump over Kamala Harris. And so a clear shift. And I think it's a combination of things. They're tired of being blamed, particularly young men, whether white, Hispanic, black, or whatever, they're tired of being blamed for everything they think is wrong on college campus. Campuses and other places.

And they're tired of men being allowed in women's sports.

So just a lot of craziness. They just want some common sense and they see it in President Trump. Governor, I'm wondering if, yeah, if you guys are seeing this trend, it's almost what is old as new again. Back in the 50s and 60s when the modern conservative movement was being formed, it was really young Catholic men who were leading the charge. And now here we are so many years later.

And it really is remarkable to see especially young Catholic men standing up and saying, you know what, we need a change in this country.

Well, Catholic men, Christians in general, now even young Jewish men, a lot of campuses realizing just how much they're being attacked and villainized by the radicals on the left. I think just a huge disconnect. We probably saw the image-wise most personified by Donald Trump driving a garbage truck and working at McDonald's. Nobody actually thought that's what he did, but it was a symbol that he was comfortable with himself, he was comfortable with others, he wasn't uncomfortable being there. There's just so many on the left these days who just seem so elitist.

And we see the worst of it at places like Harvard, but that kind of trickles on to elected officials and some of the voices of the left. I think that is a huge disconnect, particularly with young men, and why the more that we can connect the dots, not just on personality, but on substance, we could lock in young conservative men, I think, for generations to come if we do it right. Governor, real quick, on the issue of Harvard University, President Trump pretty much declaring war, is that the right approach to take when it comes to these Ivy League schools? Absolutely. I mean, it's a combination of just years of pent-up.

It's like a pot on a boiling pot on the stove boiling over finally. It's a combination of free speech, just egregious attacks on conservative students, on Christian students, on Jewish students, sometimes in multiple categories, combined with just not just left-leaning, but radically, radically left-wing, shove-it-in-your-face type mentality. And this is the elitist mindset that Harvard personifies, but so do many of the other elite Hobby League schools. I think so many young people and parents, for that matter, just had it with them. I think Donald Trump's right on the money to push hard against Harvard.

All right, well, Governor, we're going to have to leave it there. Always great to have you on Newsmax. Thanks for joining. Go. And folks, if you would, if you want to watch that, you can go to my YouTube channel, Todd Stern's YouTube channel, and you can watch those videos.

Hey, by the way, if you are a gun owner, I want to encourage you to go check out Gun Owners of America. It's gunowners.org. That's gunowners.org. What a terrific grassroots group. I'm going to be their keynote speaker at their national convention.

That's coming up later this year, August 9 through 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Looking forward to that opportunity, and just some very kind-hearted people.

So, we're just excited to be there. And I'll be speaking, and we're going to be doing our radio show from the convention as well. And we love our friends and all of the folks in the Gun Owners of America group, as well as Second Amendment defenders across the country.

So, again, go check them out: gun owners.org, and you'll find not only information about the big event, but also stories about how your rights are under attack and what You can do to protect the Second Amendment here in the United States. By the way, President Trump meeting with Elon in the Oval Office. This is just really fascinating. When you break down What Elon has done in just 130 days, it's really remarkable. President Trump said that Elon literally found billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse.

And some of those.

Some of those areas where they found waste, fraud, and abuse get this $100 million for diversity programs in the Department of Education. $100 million. $59 million for hotel rooms for illegals. $59 million. I suspect when many of you go down to vacation at the Gulf of America, You're going to be paying for that hotel room out of your own pocket, right?

$45 million for diversity programs in Burma. And this is a shocker for you folks in Georgia. Stacey Abrams, two billion dollars. Stacy Abrams got two billion dollars of your tax money. Stacey Abrams.

And then there's The Islamic Sesame Street, twenty million dollars. Instead of Burton Ernie, it's Burton Achmet or something. I don't know. It's ridiculous. And again, if Big Bird wants to wear a hijab, that's great.

But that needs to be done on his own time and not ours. There's no reason for that. No, I do not know, Parker, if Oscar the Grouch, I don't know if that's an IED in the can. I'd prefer not to go there. That's inappropriate.

It's for kids. But whatever you do, don't don't tickle. That would be bad. Thank you, Elon Musk. I mean, it's look, this is only scratch, it's literally scratching the surface here.

And by the way, President Trump did stress that we're going to codify the cuts. That is apparently going to happen starting on Monday. And I'm really hoping that does happen. Because we've been catching a lot of flag from the administration. They've been telling us, like, dude, what are you?

We thought you were on our side.

Well, I am on your side, but we've got to make sure that the Republicans on Capitol Hill do the right thing. And if they don't, ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be bad news for the president in the midterms. And we don't want that to happen.

So everything we do on this program, and hear me on this, everything we do. We do. For love. That's all. We love the president and we love the Republicans.

We want him to do better, right? We want him to do better. Oh, the president also weighing in on that crazy story.

So we did not talk about this, but the French president was going to Vietnam. Did you see the video? He's getting ready to come off their version of Air Force One, which is a dinky little plane. I got to tell you, a little dinky.

So you've got Macron, and he's getting ready to walk out. He's trying to drag the missus along, the First Lady of France, and all of a sudden you see her hand. And she slaps the ever-loving daylights out of the guy's face. And it's all captured on video. And so anyway, there's some sort of a squabble there.

We don't know what was going on.

So somebody asked, Peter Docey at Fox asked Trump, Hey, what's going on here? And do you have any world leader to world leader marital advice in the aftermath of the slap? And Trump said, make sure the door remains closed. That was not good. That's what the President said.

But anyway, Trump says that he reached out to Mecron, and apparently there's no trouble in the emerital bedroom. He says they're fine, and he doesn't know what that was all about.

So there's been a lot of speculation about whether the First Lady of France is really a man. She does kind of carry herself in a mannish sort of big mic way. But I don't think I think she's a she. The scandal there is how they met. She was a teacher.

She was an educator. She was in her mid-30s, and he was, what, 14 years old? And that's when they met.

So there is a massive age gap there. As a matter of fact, her kids are his age. which is kind of weird when your father is the same age you are. That's a little creepy.

So there you go. That's the latest here with the French scandal. All right, got to take a break here. 901-260-5926. Again, 901-260-5926.

It's open line Friday. This is the Todd Stern Show. And welcome back, everybody, to the Tom Stearns Radio Show. I got a note yesterday.

Someone said: why do you always talk about the transgender stuff?

Well, I wanted to answer that question for you, and it's a fair question to ask. The reason why is that young girls and young women across America are coming under attack, and we believe in standing up and defending the young ladies of America. And I think that is a noble thing to do. And I think the good book commands us to do that. As men, we have to stand and we have to defend the ladies.

And that's really ultimately what's going on here with all this transgender stuff. And there's a lot of it. And you need to understand it's not some sort of an anomaly. That if we don't get a handle on this, it's going to be coming to your neighborhoods, it's going to be coming to your schools. Your daughter's athletic teams.

And this story out of Champlain Park, Minnesota is just the latest example. The um The high school there just shut out the defending state champions, Rogers High School.

So, Rogers High School, defending state champions. and softball, girls softball.

Now the defending state champions An all-girl team. but they were beat by a team that was led by a picture who was a boy. The young man's name is Marissa. Marissa Rothenberger.

Now, Mr. Rothenberger is a boy. And he was allowed to compete in girls' softball. You ready for this? He shut him out.

He shut out the defending state champions in back-to-back games. And parents and players are just enraged. It turns out this young man single-handedly carried the team to its first ever state tournament berth, pitching all seven innings in both games. That's a fourteen shutout innings. Against the defending state champions.

So, they were playing a really good girls, all-girls team.

So, people are really upset about this. There's an organization called True North Legal. It's a local organization, and they're leading a lawsuit against the Attorney General there in Minnesota, as well as the Minnesota State High School League for allowing all of this to continue. It's terrible. The headline: Minnesota softball player Sue Keith Ellison.

over transgender athlete policy.

Now what I find interesting Is that there are some lawmakers on the other side of the aisle, the Democrats, who are starting to come around on this particular issue. As a matter of fact, one of them being the Senator from Arizona, Ruben Galago, And he said, you know, um This is interesting because he says, My daughter. Play sports. And I think this is a big issue.

So we'll see how this plays out, but I suspect you're going to start seeing more and more Democrats because let me tell you something, folks. This is not a 50-50 issue. It's not a 60-40. It's not a 70-30. This is like a 95%, 5% issue.

But the Democrat Party, They have made this the hill to die on. And The American people are just they're not willing to go there. This makes absolutely no sense to us at all. But this is what the Democrats planted their little transgender rainbow flag. And they're saying, no, no, no, this is the hill that we die on.

Now, Senator Galego from Arizona said, as a parent of a daughter, I think it's legitimate that parents are worried about the safety of their daughters. And I think it's legitimate for us to be also worried about fair competition. And I think the parents of these trans youth are also worried legitimately about the health and the wellness of their kids. Those are completely different issues, though, Mr. Senator.

Completely different issues. Those young men, if they were playing with their fellow, with their fellow gender. Athletes They would not have a position on the team. That's the reality.

So, I don't know what these schools are going to do if they want to create a separate league for the transgender athletes. There just aren't that many of them. to be perfectly blunt about it.

So anyway, that's the reason why we we talk about these issues because they're important. And the reality is that a young lady on one of those softball teams is probably going to lose out on a scholarship to college. Because of a transgender athlete. And I believe that somebody ought to be willing to say something about it. A lot of parents are just afraid to speak out.

A lot of radio hosts are shying away from those kinds of issues because they're owned by the big corporate guys. But you know what? We do our own thing here on this program. And I believe that it's important for us to take a stand and do the right thing. Even if it might make us all feel a little uncomfortable.

By the way, Homeland Security releasing a list of states. That are home to sanctuary cities and counties. That are currently in defiance of immigration executive orders.

Okay.

And I'm glad Homeland Security is doing this. I am shocked. That unfortunately, two of those areas just happen to be in Tennessee. That would be Nashville and Shelby County, which is where Memphis is. But just about every state in the Union is on the Homeland Security list.

And we've got to really, really work hard. Work hard to make sure the administration follows through and defunds all of these sanctuary. Sanctuary cities and counties: Georgia, Athens, Clark County, DeKalb County, Douglas County, Fulton County. Atlanta and Athens. Harboring illegals.

Come on, really? All right. Look, we will continue the conversation on Monday. Folks, it has been a great busy week. Thank you for hanging out with us.

Watch us tonight, 5 o'clock Eastern. Get out there. Have a great Friday. And whatever you do, be sure to go to church this weekend.
