Now. On with the show. This is not a drill. This is real. This is the Rich Eisen Show.
The Steelers are not winning the Super Bowl this year. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. Pittsburgh Steelers. Cam Hayward. The Rich Eisen Show.
The way you win this game is on the field. Earlier on the show, Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, Academy Award nominated actor Adam Driver. Coming up, comedian Jake Lambert. And now it's Rich Eisen. Hour number three of the Rich Eisen show is on the air.
Great chat with Adam Driver in hour number two. He's a cool cat, dude. Wouldn't you want to just like kick it with him, or go on a ride along with him, drive around with him, a ride along, drive around, driven by the director Michael Mann. Like that's looking at locations for Heat Two, so he could get inspired for his character.
Sound like an image. Brockman was just saying, like Adams, you said he's a dude, man. Like he's just a dude that. That's why he's great in all these roles because he can just yeah weave himself. Yep.
So if you missed any of that and my first hour conversation with Kurt Warner, there's our Disney Plus page, our ESPN app page. There's the audio podcast version of this show, all three hours every day, and. And the the comedian Jake Lambert's going to come out here in about twenty minutes' time, but there's breaking news all over all over the place now involving quarterbacks in the NFL. Oh, baby, QBs. Go ahead and hit it, please.
Here it comes. And Maria, see breaking news. Let's start with the defending Super Bowl champs first. Christopher, why don't you go for it? Do you got that?
Yeah, sure. Mike McDonald just met with the media and said that Sam Darnold is out on Sunday against the Cardinals due to a quad injury. It is Drew Lock getting the start.
Okay, Drew Lock getting the start, and as we know, Drew Lock. Finish that week one game that goes on Sam Darnold's record as being a win. Correct. Then we know that Drew Lock visited Arizona and Washington. Is when they got Sam Darnold back in week three, and Lock won that game against Arizona.
So Drew Lock's clearly the better quarterback and should be starting. Because that's what happens with backup quarterbacks when the starter is struggling on the offensive side of the ball, right? And it doesn't matter if he was the starter for a Super Bowl team last year; they won the whole. You know what I mean? Like that's the way it goes.
There might be somebody on our Guillotine League text chain who's thinking this is even a soft benching. Yeah, which is I don't want to out that person, but I only mention it because that's the sort of conversation that always goes down. Like, ah, I mean, where's that quad injury coming from? Same thing you're already hearing. Like, Kyler Murray might have a hamstring issue, right?
Yeah, where that. I know what I mean. Look, pretty. The guy's got a quad injury.
Okay, they're not benching. Stop it. Quad. They are not benching soft or otherwise. Their starting quarterback from last year's team, who was a captain and a clear starting quarterback in this league, Mike McDonald, moments ago had this to say: Sam injured his his quad at the end of the game, so Sam's going to be out this week.
It'll be week to week for Sam. He's not going to go on IR. Plan is for Drew to to start. Jalen be ready to back up. You know, in terms of Sam, I mean, this guy, he's he's tough as nails.
I mean, I think the second play of the game, I just asked if I could share this, but like, you know, cracked his rib and on the second play of the game.
So playing the whole game without without even making a name of it and playing his tail off and competing, I just think it's worth noting how tough this guy is and. I'll be back. I'll be back sooner or later. I'm sure, dude. Spoiler alert!
Nobody told me that was coming at the end of the sound. Whoa! That sounds worse. It does sound worse than a quad. Yeah, he should have led with that.
Very the lead. Yeah, he's got some ribs. About he's got cracked ribs. Oh, he also has a quad.
So here's the thing: you you put up their schedule. We're not seeing Sam Darnold until week 12. It's that simple. Real quad in a rib? Yeah.
There's a buy after a game at Vegas. Yeah, he's not gonna. Drew Lock can handle these next two, home for Arizona at Vegas. Can he? He can.
That's what quarter. That's what backup quarterbacks are there for to win these games. Like the one at Arizona, he's already won at Arizona. He should handle the home date with Arizona, and then go to Vegas last next two weeks from now and and compete.
Well, maybe not to win, but not to not to lose the game on his defense. Exactly. And then there is a buy. After which it's the biggest game for them of the year because if they don't win at San Francisco, they get swept by the Niners, and the division's gone, most likely.
So you're not going to see Sam Donald for two more weeks, three three weeks, I guess, week 12.
So that would be almost a month. After which, whatever is wrong with his rib or his quad, this this is gets fixed, and this is why you've got backup quarterbacks. And Drew Lock will do what he did earlier this year, and what Mac Jones did last year for the Niners, which is keep the ship afloat and get everybody talking. Should he still be the starter? Even though that's nonsense.
Nonsense.
Now the Philadelphia Eagles. Where are we on them? I'll tell you. They were once upon a time two and zero, and then they visited Chicago on a Monday night. They didn't score a single point after halftime, and that started a whole narrative that their offense was going down the tubes.
Certainly in the second half of games, so they fall to two and one. Then after that, they take on the Rams at home. Where they're up at halftime, second half falls apart. Rams come back and win, and they hardly do anything after halftime. And something's going on.
What's happening? What's happening? They go to Jacksonville, and in between that loss to the Rams, and then going to London for Jacksonville, Lane Johnson retires. They trade away Cam Jurgens. Injuries all over the place, not just to Saquon, but also to Devonte Smith and Dontavian Wicks.
And they go to London and damn near won it anyway. And they would have been three and two. They'd have been three and two coming off of that win, and then they would have lost Jalen Hurts for the the season after that because Hurts played that game with a blood clot issue that got much worse, as we know. I should say it more artfully than that. He was cleared to play, and then had blood clot issues that knocked him out for the season after.
And they haven't won since that. Week two win at Tennessee. They've lost six in a row, and what's the point of continuing on to bang your head against the the wall the same way?
So there's breaking news out of Philadelphia, and that is time for Joe Milton. It is Joe Milton season. Yeah. Okay, now who in the world? If you had told me before the season, if you had, what if I told you?
What if I told you? What if I told you before the season?
Okay, that the week nine game, Giants at Philadelphia. One team would be four two and one. Yep, the other team would be two and six on a six game losing streak. Tie, and. It would be J.J.
McCarthy versus Joe Milton. Like, what is this? You can't make it up. UFL game going on. You can't make it up.
Joe Milton, who, as you know, in training camp for the Dallas Cowboys, was getting all the praises and all the hosannas, and J.J. McCarthy in training camp for Minnesota couldn't even get a single whiff. Of a week one start possibility, it was already out the door, out the gate, and then all of a sudden he's not dressing. Couple weeks in, and then Joe Milton gets plucked off the practice squad by Philadelphia in advance of their first game against Dallas, and they hold on to him. And Tanner McKee gets his chance and doesn't perform nearly as well as they would think he would.
And now they're going with Joe Milton.
Okay, so now Joe Milton let her rip for the Eagles. Let her rip. Let her rip. You know he's going to throw downfield. You know he's going to be going for the fences.
Yep.
You know, like Kyle Schwarber down the street. He's going to be swinging and trying to hit home runs. And let's see what happens. And then there's the Giants coming off of their bye. Oh yeah, Vic Fangio was talking about going against this team.
The defensive coordinator, who's been around the block a few times, he had this to say about what he's been seeing on tape from the Giants and the challenge in front of this defensive unit that has been run on. To the tune of a hundred yards a game, at least, all eight games this year. Hit it. They've got a really good offense. They've got skill at the receiving position.
They did a nice job raiding the Ravens, not only for John, but for Likely and Ricard, and they got a lot of the Ravens type. Offense that they had when Greg was there, Greg Roman, and they've intermixed, you know, Kansas City type passing in there with Matt, and they got it going right now. They got good wideouts, good tight ends, two good backs, and the quarterback has come in in a short period of time and really done a nice job. You know, for them to get him for a sixth round pick is a steal. It's a steal," says Vic Fangio, and that doesn't sound like, you know, talking up the opponent type stuff.
You know, like the Lou Holtz we're taking on Reich this week. You can't overlook that NFC least my ass. That's a you gotta take that with your boy, can you? Excuse me. The Eagles are gonna win this game.
Okay, because Joe Milton's starting, huh? Yeah. All right, all right. He's mobile. Carter, we're we're we're we're overlooking we're we're overlooking Arvell Reese.
We're just forget about it. What do we care? That defense on the other side that that that's that's not a an NFC East leading team. As a matter of fact, the L from NFC least might be thrown in the direction of seven in a row for the Philadelphia Eagles, and that's an incentive for the Giants. Let me ask you this question, TJ Jefferson: If you have the opportunity to kick the Eagles when they're down, when you take it, did your Cowboys take it the other day?
Not just kick, stomp, elbow, exactly, body press, supervised. Yeah, you do. You know, power drive, Batista bomb, do all that. That's right.
So that's a yes. Yeah, that's yes. Hey, that's what happened. Is giving up twenty points in every game this year. Who has except to the Titans?
Who has Giants' defense? Yeah. Okay.
So I know who are they stopping? Joe Milton and the Eagles. I doubt it. You're taking them, Philly for sure. Should I take them on game day morning?
Eagles or Giants? Oh, you are going to take your boy. Who's my boy? Come on! What are you talking about?
Who's my boy? Who's my boy? We've been here identifying him for three years. Oh, you are talking about eighteen? Yeah, eighteen.
Nine times two. Yeah, the guy was a steal. Six round choice. Is a steal. You know, a steal.
You are used to seeing Joe Milton win games that hurt draft status. Anyway, right? Uh, yeah. That's also a good point. Worked out, but I was mad at the time.
The Joe Milton game, huh? I mean, the Joe Milton game's not going to matter until Thanksgiving. Ushering in the Mike Vrabel era for you, it's going to matter. Chris, when Thanksgiving comes and he ends up beating us by two touchdowns, watch. Wow, that's coming, Joe Milton on Thanksgivings.
More, more. It's coming with all due respect to Tanner McKee. Hey, listen, Eagles. Can you blame him for giving that a whirl? No, not.
I mean, you were talking about it the other day. We've been talking about for a couple weeks. Let's see it. We got this. Is not surprising at all.
So what if? What if I told you? I'll go the other way around here, since I've already told you what I figured about with the Giants. What if Joe Milton comes off the Cowboys' practice squad, saves the season, and gets them. Finishing at least better than Dallas and Gotti.
How how difficult would that be to swallow for the man in the corner who I'm not even making eye contact with to put that evil on him? But you got Joe Milton against the Giants, then a bye week. Joe Milton against Aaron Rodgers, and then Thanksgiving. Five days later, why can't they finish eight and eight? Oh come on, dude!
Eight and nine, nine and eight. Their defense isn't stopping it. You want to talk about defensively? That's not helping. Come on now.
What if they just outscore teams? They can beat the Giants. You are just team. You are just tell me the name of the team. You think they're going to be?
Twice. They can beat the Cowboys. Who they going to beat twice? Giants. They can beat the Cardinals.
Colts. What's the matter with you? Why do you overlook the Giants? Why do you think that they're just fugazy? Why are they fugazy?
Why is it that you think every other team needs to show you something, but the Giants? They've already shown you enough. Because I don't think every other team needs to show me something. I made the Bears my top team in my power rankings this week. I could have been like, "That's a nice one." You got to keep showing me.
I've shown me enough. That is true. You did kind of. They've shown me enough. I took I took a Niners team that was on a bye week and knocked them down one, and a Bills team that just won, coming off a bye, and knocked them down one to put the Bears above me.
So how dare you? Is what I'm saying, and number two, the Eagles with Joe Milton are going to finish up so strongly they're going to beat the Giants twice. If they do that and save their season, or at least make it more interesting, and finish above Dallas, who has full compliment to Gotti, full Gotti, okay, full Gotti. There's Fugazy and there's Fugatti. They might be both.
Fugatti, right? Fugatti and Fugazy might be the same. I like Fugatti. Fugatti. But for real or Fugatti, what if they still have Dak and CD and Pickens and Javante, and with all of that, Joe Milton with Hollywood Brown.
And Darius Cooper, and Elijah Mitchell, and a guy named Dallas, right? And a guy named Dallas, yeah. What I mean, dude. It's been a weird season. Surprise me.
Look, this is all in the NFC East. This is fascinating to me. This is great theater. This is awesome. It's rearranging deck chairs, but it's not four, two, and one.
This guy. Over there, I would love to be four, two, and one to be on. If any team, any team, this guy, any team of those four, if any of them win a playoff game, I will be stunned, stunned. You tell people's hat stunned, yes, really. You don't they're they're good as they're good they're as good as the fourth place NFC North team.
No, the Giants win the division; they'll be the three seed.
Okay, because they'll still be better than whoever wins the NFC South, and they're going to beat the Rams or the. You don't think the Rams are making the playoffs? That's true.
So Packers come into their house. Really, dogs to the Packers. Really, and you think you think the Giants wouldn't be able to beat the Green Bay Packers? I don't. And what's the what's the recent Packers track record in a first playoff game, Chris?
Can't keep up with the. What's the Packers' recent wild card? This decade, go back to Rogers. What's what? What do they?
What have they shown you in a wild card weekend contest on the road and at home? Jordan Love go into Dallas and win a playoff game. I've seen it. I know it. I mean, yeah.
No one on the Giants has seen playoff recency success, including the head coach. I so want to be proven correct on this. I know you do. And I am going to keep pushing back. See how I am playing both sides of the fence, where I am pushing on this one, and then saying, "Hey, Joe Milton can overtake the Cowboys." What if all?
What if both are correct? You are flip flopping. You are flopping. I am not flip flopping. What if the Giants finish first, Eagles finish second, Cowboys finish third, Commanders?
There is the Commanders still. Giants take care of them after. Oh, I'm gonna keep pounding this drum. That tie is so dumb. What is that tie?
I know it's frustrating. It's annoying. Washington, what were you doing? I just looked around for a tie. I know.
I was. I honestly thought, like, I looked at the split screen, like, who's tie? You know, I know Pat's not wearing one, and he's on right now. All right. The comedian Jake Lambert's about to join us here on the Rich Eisen show.

He was there, and everyone still talks about it because it was like the audience didn't believe it was him; they thought it was a someone impersonating him. Didn't make sense because you—that's normal for you here to have big celebrities drop in, and we don't get that.
Sure, I guess that that might be just life in Los Angeles. Our radio audience just returned. That's the voice of Jake Lambert. He's got a sold-out show at New York Union Hall, set for November thirteenth, for a couple of Fridays from now, and you're touring across America. Yeah, next year, be sure to follow him at.
Jake Lambert comedy on Instagram to be the first to know about tour dates. It's your first time here in Los Angeles, yeah. Who did you meet last night? You said you met somebody famous last night. Yeah, yesterday I met Shaquille O'Neal.
Was he at the comedy store? No, and I probably shouldn't say where he was because we were we were at a production, and I'm worried that like they might tell me off. Oh, it was that he was at studio. I was at the studio. He was there.
We were in the same waiting room, and. I could see him just to my side, but I didn't want to look him because I didn't know it was him, and I just thought maybe the place I'm going to. I thought maybe they're just doing a documentary on like. The world's tallest man, or something. He's there.
I thought maybe he might be self-conscious, so I won't look. And then someone came in and just said, "Shaq." And I was like, "Oh, that's him. Then that's definitely him." So you didn't have any interaction with him. I was so tempted to lean over and say, "Do you think we're up for the same role?" But I, I was so tempted. That would have been perfect.
You'd have loved that, would he?
Next time, but yeah, I just left it. I just, I would love to say I'd said that and love to lie to you, but no, I would, I crumbled. I couldn't even make eye contact. Yeah, it was like, yeah, it was like being like a beautiful woman. I just looked down and just waited.
Yeah, they spoke to me and they didn't, so I just stayed quiet and imagined what I would have said.
Well, that's cool.
So you were here for a day and you got to. What a start! Yeah, and then today Adam Driver. Yeah, Adam, you were you were here. We're just I turned up early enough.
Yeah, so this is a real come down for the audience and for you. Adam Driver to Jake Lamb. But sorry about that. But wow, how did you get started? I just started doing initially actually.
Comedy was Twitter years ago. I don't do it anymore, but I used to use Twitter and some. I used to post up jokes.
Okay, then a few comedians. Started messaging me asking if they could buy the jokes. No kidding. Yeah, and I thought I'll just do this myself.
So I booked a gig in London and went and just started basically doing the tweets. They were like one-liners.
Okay.
And then what was your favorite? What was one that somebody wanted to buy? And you repeat it. I can. It's.
I think it's okay.
Okay, sure. One I did was my mum makes a mean dinner. Last night's was alphabetty spaghetti that spelt out "you're adopted." That was that was, I think, the first one. Yes. And I don't know if this one will translate here.
I had one that was, I live in a bungalow, which is nice, but it does have one major flaw. Does that make sense here? Does that translate? Will a bungalow translate here? I don't do that stuff anymore, to be clear.
In case anyone's thinking of buying tickets, bungalow. Bungalow is like just only got it's only got one floor. Yeah, little part.
So it's a good pun, but oh, I see. Yeah, but God, can you imagine if I still did that? And that's what I opened with last night at the Comedy Star. That would have been a terrible start. Yeah, it would have been an open and a close.
Yeah, I don't want to go to the shack story, but no, that was it. Was just like one liners and puns, and I would do stuff like that, and then they would ask. Buy them, and I thought I'll do them.
So I used to just do one-liners, but that's hard because a one-liner's over in ten seconds, unless you spend the next minute explaining it to you. The the best part of the one-liner is two more two more cracks at it. Say a couple of times for us daft Americans to understand what you're saying. I get it.
So I now I start to do stories, and that's a lot better because you can keep going with the story, keep adding to it. Right, right, right, and then. Three years ago, I started posting videos on Instagram, and that changed everything. Started in March 2023, started posting stupid reels, right? And then not stupid reels, clever, funny reels.
Yes, trying to be self-deprecating. But and then people seem to like it. And then a year later, I started a tour, and this is the same tour. I've been this now. I'll be doing America in March next year.
It'll be the 21st country of the tour. It's my first ever tour.
So it's been going for first country. Yeah, you've been all over. I've done around the UK, and I did Europe, and I did Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand. I've done Canada because it's the internet. You can have the audience everywhere.
Right, it's great.
So whenever people ask, I just put on a show.
So finally got the visa. Yours is the hardest country to get into. If you're aware of this, but it's expensive. We have to pay as well, lawyer fees and everything. Whereas you turn up to like New Zealand or Canada, they don't even check you've got a visa.
What's it like doing stand up in Iceland? Iceland, actually, before I was about to go out, they they came in and kept telling me that no one in Iceland has any money. They've spent their money on this show, so make sure it's good. That was the that was the pressure I had to go out to. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And they said, "Do as long as you can," because they paid for this, and this will be the only thing they do this month. What a start! But they were lovely. The only, I'd say, the best country, surprisingly, was Germany. Oh, oh my goodness!
They don't have much of a sense of humor for some reason. Yeah, but they they they do. I guess they sort of have to now. But they they have a really good sense of humor, and they're just so lovely. But I in the UK we have intervals in our comedy shows.
So on a tour show, you might have an act. The support act would do twenty minutes, then an interval, yeah, yeah, and then the main act, but. I didn't know that they don't have intervals in Germany. Like you don't have them here at comedy clubs. People just sit there the whole time.
That's right.
We have like two or three breaks in a night in England.
So I didn't know.
So in Germany, I was I didn't have a support. It was just me.
So I did twenty minutes. Then I said they'll have an interval, and then I left, and then I came back, and I said, "Do you have an interval to get a drink?" And they went, "No." Did any of you leave? And they went no. They said, and then I turned. It turned out they didn't know where I'd gone.
They didn't know what happened. They thought I'd gone to the toilet. They just sat there and politely just waited for me to come back. Oh my gosh!
So yeah.
So that was. But they're so polite as well. They're so. They just sat there and waited. And was like, well, I guess he needs a break, so we'll wait.
Jake Lambert here on the Rich Eisen show had worse Mondays podcast. You just sit down with a cup of tea, yeah, and talk about your week. I didn't know we'd be talking about that. Yeah. Yeah, I just.
We're here to help you promote whatever you got. That's so lovely. Listen. It's just me. I just it's just this.
But with imagine for the listener, imagine this now, but but without you talking, it was just this you talking about your week, and I'll just keep going like that, and then I ask myself a question and keep going. And you do the tea just because we assume you're British, you'll have tea. Is that the way it works? No, it's just because I'm British, so I'm awake, so I have tea.
Okay, yeah, it's always a tea on the go.
Okay, yeah, so I just sit down with a cup of tea and just chat.
Okay, yeah, and it's going very well for you. It's pretty good. It's called Had Worse Mondays. I did a video years ago, and it was the classic. Posts people do now when they go on what you'd call vacation, like when you go on holiday.
Yes, sir.
So whenever someone goes on holiday, they have to like post a picture of the view and put like "not a bad view," or they have to put "had worse Mondays." They have to use these captions, and so I did one which was somebody doing them as though they'd come up with it, as though they can't believe they the first ever say something like this, "not a bad view" and all that stuff. And so people now just always say to me "had worse Mondays," so I put out on a Monday and I just use it. Because it's what people say, right? They will just go had worse Mondays, and what they want to say is my life's going better than yours at the minute. But they can't say that, so they say had worse Mondays.
Oh, got it. Or, or it can be an ironic use of it as well. I've had worse Mondays. You know what I mean? Yes.
Also, have it's just a thing. Ways to go. Yeah. So I don't know. I called it that, and it goes out on a Monday.
Okay.
So it makes sense for that, I guess.
Okay.
So somebody could use that after losing a Monday night football game. Had worse Mondays. You know what I mean? Yeah. Is it true you're a Packer fan?
I am, yeah. Why? I've asked myself that that question a few times, but I I think it was just a calling. I I wanted to I wanted to pick a team. The least cool answer is that green's my favorite color.
Okay, but then when I found out how they're like fan owned, very much, and that's very cool. Yes, then my last name's Lambert. People back home call me Lambo. When I found out it was Lambo Field, it was a calling. Everything, okay.
Everything, okay. It just led to it.
So I had no choice, and I went in. And now I love them. I watch them every week.
Okay.
Sometimes I hate them, but overall I love them.
So you're you're watching them. How how often do you do you watch them? Every week, so for us, Sunday games will start at six pm.
So we'll sit down with Red Zone and watch Scott Hansen. Just sort of a, and he follows me. We we DM. He follows me on Instagram.
So your boy Scott from Sundays. Wow, so that's great.
So yeah, do that. Yeah, have a um. You and Scott have a have a text relationship. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah, he's a good dude.
He's so cool. He is good. Yeah, yeah. Ages, I thought when when I first started watching it, I thought it was the guy from Dateline, and I was like, what a turn of events to go from catching predators to announcing football scores. But I thought, what a strange career path.
It's funny that the guy from To Catch a Predator also. Just talks about eight things at once and doesn't pee for four and a half hours. Yeah, yeah, that's that's that's our Scott. Pretty much, no kidding. I thought maybe, yeah, he's like he's bulked up a bit and he's sort of he's got a gym membership and got into football.
He's got enough of those predators. That is great. That's funny. Oh my gosh!
But so the Packers just because of. You getting into it, and then they were good. I mean, when when did you first start? Like Aaron Rodgers' era, as yeah, it was Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, so I've not I've not followed them since they've won a Super Bowl.
So that might be my fault because I also support. I don't know how much you know about. At the EPL Premier League back home, but I support Tottenham.
Okay, but what's crazy is how often there are like parodies.
So they lost Aaron Rodgers at the same time we lost Harry Kane. Yes, sir.
And then there was one point where the Packers just had—I'd say the problem was we had too many wide receivers, and we had like now we've got Watson and Golden. It's it's nice. We've got the you need like the one, two, three. We had too many. We've like Wicks and Bo Melton.
I think it was. John Love couldn't get that sort of chemistry.
Now he's got it, and it's it's great. It's working. And Tottenham had the same thing. We had so many wingers, but none of them could quite. They didn't work together enough because we kept rotating.
And it's always sort of the same issue. The start of this year, Tottenham were awful. Packers weren't good, and then they both turned around about the same week. They started becoming good.
So I get to watch the parody of the two. I had no idea that I needed to look to you know Tottenham to see what the Packers might do. Yeah, yeah. Now, now you're you're kind of giving me a little hint and a tip. Yeah.
So we play on a Saturday, then you'll see how the Packers will do on the Sunday. That stadium, great. That stadium is as good as any NFL stadium. Have you been? I have.
I've called a few games there. Really, unbelievable. It's cool, isn't it? And it's kind of wild. The first game that.
That I called at Tottenham at the the new stadium. The home team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, right? And they. Adorned the entire stadium in their team colors, which is apparently I was explained the same colors as Arsenal. Yeah, red, which was an affront to the usual home team, yes, Tottenham.
Yeah, it was a bad call that one, and it was not cool. No, no, because we had the option of having Wembley as well. Yes, so I think now when there is any red teams at home, they would put them in Wembley. Whereas we, I don't think they'd make that mistake again. They did not.
No, I would. The way it was explained to me is like this is not cool. No, yeah, that was. They have not done that again since. No, you'll you'll find no red team will now have the home game.
Okay, yeah.
So I think yeah, if the Chiefs try anything, come over, they'd put them in Wembley. We're learning a lot here, but it's um, it's great, and we've you know they got the two. Fields right, so the arse goes down and the NFL pitch comes out at the sides, and underneath they've got this whole thing keeping it watered and fresh. Yes, it's amazing. I know.
And the NFL now keeps their turf out there all year long. Yeah, bought it just for Tottenham. Yeah, and then the way again it was described to me is these fields, these turf fields that got the the rubber pellets in them. They're usually dark colored. But Tottenham said not here, so that's why the colors of the the they're green, so you can't tell the difference.
Yes, the fake stuff and the pelts, which is a good idea, right? They could do that here, couldn't they? They don't want to pay for the food. All I'm just saying is, you Brits are very fussy. We are that particular, definitely.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, definitely. And I found here people like direct answers a lot. If I like stutter over an answer, they get very confused. What are you talking about? I went yesterday.
Had to go and get my social security number, and the guy said, "Do you have?" As I got there, he asked if I had something, and I said, "I don't know." And he went, "You don't know?" And I was like, "I was like, no, I I don't know." But he couldn't understand that, and I was like, "No, I I don't know. No, I do not." And then it sounded like I was malfunctioning. Oh my god.
Well, fantastic! New episodes every Monday of Had Worse Mondays podcast. Yeah, go to at Jake Lambert Comedy to see where and when our guest is going to be touring across America next year. And if you're in New York and you can get yourself a spot in Union Hall next next Friday, November thirteenth, check it out. Yeah, and I also found out Lambeau Field is not named for Curly Lambeau.
This Lambo, right here. There we go. And I've still never been. Oh, though it's spelled your nickname, right? Yeah, Lambo.
That's what it's not. E A U. They've not done that. They don't. They're not aware of that over there.
Well, now, now we need to make it so. But I've still never been, so I want to go.
So, oh, yeah.
Okay.
Never been. Yeah, Lambo. Yeah, to happen. But I'm going to go. I think next year I'll try and go.
I think I want to go for a winter game. You want to fully experience.
Well, just dress warmly. Yeah, yeah. And and you know, you should try and get on the field to try an actual Lambo leap. Oh my goodness! If anyone, anyone watching or listening, can arrange, you could arrange.
If anyone can, you can. I can do that. I just want to give you a heads up. The the the wall is way taller than you think. Right?
Yeah, yeah. I had not thought about that. If they can put one of those mini trampolines in front of it, so I don't need it. You'll need it. At Jake Lambert comedy to follow.
This man, Jake Lambert, right here. What a pleasure meeting you. Oh, thank you so much for having me. For coming here. Thank.
Oh, honestly, thank you. And I apologize for any of my my country folk who think that you. Need to talk better or faster or anything like that? No, it's I'm getting used to it. But no, everyone's honestly they're so lovely.
And just to be clear, when I've got management here, and so I know you probably have to go to a break or something. I'm holding everything up. No, you're not. They said we had a meeting, and they said, "What, what, what? Could we book you in?
You're over here, and this was the only thing I asked for. No kidding. Genuinely, I just said, if you can get me on the Rich Eisen show, that would all. That's that's. Then you've done your job.
You've earned your commission. That was it.
So thank you. Very honoured. Oh no, honestly, I just earned you a mug. Really? Do I get a mug?
Oh my goodness, for tea, please. Oh, thank you. Yes, and oh, I have it on. I use it on the podcast. Yes.
Had versus Mondays pod, and I've use have a mug, have a mug of a mug of tea. That's what I do every morning. It's a Rich Eisen show. Yeah, you are a tea. I am a tea drinker.
You are a tea drinker. It's a TJ drink. Oh, lovely. And how do? Oh no, we probably don't want to talk about that right now, dude.
What do you want to talk about? Oh, how do you have it? A little bit of milk, two spoonfuls of sugar. Oh, you have sugar. Yeah, yeah.
Oh, okay. You've sort of Americanized it. Yeah. It used to be four. Way too embarrassing.
Four. Yeah. So I'm cutting down. I think back home that's called like a builder's tea when it's got that. They called so people do do that a builder's because that's what the builders will say when they come over.
A tea with they have milk and two sugars.
Okay.
So they do do that.
So there's a thing. It's called a builder's tea. There you go. But I think there's a thing where. After the third spoonful, it doesn't actually make any difference to the taste of anything.
Okay, just see now. Why you said I used to put so much sugar in that the spoon would just stick up straight, and then I realized it was too much. That's not that's not good. New podcast with you and O'Shea talking about how you take your tea. I would love that.
Maybe we should just DM each other like once a week and like this is the tea I'm drinking. Please send me a picture because you want to get the color right. Exactly. They say you want the skin tone of He Man. I'll never forget that.
By the way, I will never forget that. At Jake Lambert Comedy, everybody Instagram it right here on the Rich Eisen Show. Thank you so much. You bet. O'Shea Jackson Junior.

Yes, good to see. Yes, good to see you as well. All right, before we chop it up. You're here for a very big moment in the history of our program. Oh yes, sir.
Twelve plus years. Throughout the twelve plus years, we started realizing that we know what we're talking about, and we formed RES Consulting, Rich Eisen Show Consulting. We even came up with a with a phrase: the best thing about us. Best thing about us, though, is it's about us. It's about us, and we're here to give advice.
Fans call into the show.
Sometimes we're here to help them guide them through a bad sports moment. We also give unsolicited advice to teams about what they should do to improve their lot.
Okay, Christopher Brockman, you sir. Are the author of this great moment in the history of this program? Did you not say the Baltimore Ravens should go and acquire Jacoby Brissett? I did because they're in trouble in the quarterback spot. They need somebody.
They need somebody, and he's sitting there now, demoted to three. He's right there, right? There's Carson Beck to back up Gardner Friggin' Minshew in his bucket hat, beating T.J.'s Cowboys. You said that's what they should do. Correct, do it.
What just happened? Breaking news! Hit it! Here it comes! And Maria is here.
Breaking news! What just happened? Put it up on the screen. The Ravens did it. They are going to acquire Jacoby Brissett.
Wow! Which means Joe Fignano may be one and done. This Thursday. Thanks for thanks for the time. Thanks for the support.
I don't want to take a job away from a former Humane athlete, but we nailed it. I appreciate you saying "we royal we." I didn't even think of it, but it's a team effort at R.E.S. Consulting. Fine. Hey, I'll take it.
Best thing about us, though, is it's about us. It's about us. Thank you. That's what. That's you're.
You're just by saying "we," you're us. You're following the mantra of our consulting. We're a collective unit outfit. Dude, bang! I know.
Ravens watch the show. It happened. Do you think Eric DeCosta had no? It didn't put two and two together, and he's watching the show and go, "Hey, that's a good idea." One of those bald guys, because he's a member of the Brotherhood too. That's right.
You know, boom. Yeah, about that makes sense.
Okay, he's not going to be there in time to play tomorrow. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, it's Joe Fignano. He's got got got a maybe a one and done situation. Week ten.
Hey, DVR it. There you go. Save it. Save it for the family. What else you got over there?
You want to take another shot? Seriously, throw it. Throw a dart, man. You got one more. No.
What do you think? Where should Ayuk go? Say it. Say it. Oh well, I mean, he should go to the Steelers.
That's it. Done. It's happening. There you go. Arias consulting on the case.
Just don't bet on him.
Now then. Oh, jeez. We'll finish the show with that. Listen, what's with you texting the group? Saying that you're going to get guillotined and then you don't.
What's going on here? You have to underpromise and overdeliver, Rich. This has been my motto for my entire life. I have to have some sort of drama all the time. I'm an actor, and I since I became a father nine years ago, I I am a worrier.
I worry about everything. I'm a Golden State worrier, if you will, gentlemen. Thank you. Well, like, yeah.
So, Lamar first throw of the game. That's right.
And it just—I was already in a weird spot because of the the bye week for the Giants.
So I didn't have neighbors or likely.
So I was like, I really need everybody to score. But you also already had 90 points from Chuba Hubbard in your back pocket. Yeah, I sure am. About you weren't even close to getting chopped. Yeah, I'm the man.
So from now on, because you've done this two weeks in a row. I know, man. I'm stressed. We're going to accept your resignation. Nation from the league.
If you do that again, impossible.
Well, I'm the commissioner. I could just take you out of the league. You can you can chop whoever you want as commissioner. I could put myself in your place. New rule.
No, the league would instantly lose the black vote. All right, we need we need you. We just saw we just saw on Tuesday the importance of it.
Okay, need us. It's all good, man.
Okay, all good. But I'm feeling feeling up, feeling good. Got Drake May for 58 bucks. You just went higher register. Oh, you snagged Drake May.
Yeah, you know it's it's the Patriots. Yeah, we picked apart Hoskins's team. Unfortunately for for Mike, it's the most ruthless part of that league. Is that like that's the beauty of guillotine? Is you start.
Rooting against dear friends, saying I would like your roster. I'm going to pick it apart like a vulture. See you later. It is. It's great.
Why was he? Why do you have so many quarterbacks? But a great question. I don't know. That's why he got chopped.
Let me say this one more time. In the text exchange, that you prematurely wave a white flag, we will accept it. All right. That's wild, cause like I tried to stick up for you, Shay. They can text any other dumb stuff in the in that chat, and they do.
But stuff is not dumb. It's not a concession. Not at all. Whatever. It's no TJ.
I'm holding NCW down, bro. No contest wrestling. Who's on it today? Oh, it's we got a lot to talk about.
So it's just me and TJ. It is a crazy wrestling Wednesday today. We have a lot to talk about because I'm over here struggling to write a rundown. TJ, come on, baby. We on the mics.
Best thing about us is about us. Yeah, no contest wrestling coming out. Finishing on Disney Plus. Thanks for listening to the Rich Eisen Show podcast. You can watch and listen to the Rich Eisen Show live weekdays from noon to three Eastern on ESPN Radio, Disney Plus, and on the ESPN app.
