Well, we appreciate having you and we appreciate you standing behind President Trump yesterday. As a matter of fact, that's where I'm going to start here. I'm going to play a clip from you outside the courthouse in New York City.

187. This is lawfare, again, to try to steal or to rig an election. You got a corrupt prosecutor. You got a corrupt star witness. You got a corrupt judge whose daughter is one of the leading fundraisers for the Democrat Party. Having raised some hundred million dollars. That's the judge's daughter. This is a crooked and sham trial to try to hurt the nominee who's going to be the president of the United States, whether or not they like it or whether or not they want that to happen.

President Trump is going to be reelected. Congressman, tell us how this came about. I mean, you had a whole delegation. Matt Gaetz, Representative Boebert, Andy Biggs, some of our favorite people. And you chair the House Freedom Caucus, one of the most powerful caucuses in Congress.

How did this happen and why did you feel it was important you went up to New York yesterday? Well, the Freedom Caucus was the best friends in the House that President Trump had in his first term. We plan to be his best friends in the second term.

The Freedom Caucus are the true, courageous, conservative warriors in the House of Representatives. And we unanimously support President Trump. We're behind him. We want to help him get elected. We want to help him enact his 100-day agenda. And we just think it's important for us to come and be the voice that this corrupt judge is not allowing him to be. This unprecedented gag order, which instead of trying to ensure the defendant, the accused, gets a fair trial, is designed to prevent him from having a fair trial.

So we want to be his mouthpiece boldly and unashamedly. Say the things that need to be said that he is struggling to be able to say because of this corrupt judge. Yeah, and I think, you know, we talked about this last hour that, yeah, this is a sham trial. Yeah, it's rigged.

Yeah, this is New York City. You know, I happen to actually personally believe it's going to be a hung jury. I think Cohen's cross yesterday was completely disastrous for the prosecution.

I think actually our prospects are remarkably, miraculously good in this trial. But it should have never been brought. Trump has said that repeatedly. But this is really a trial for the American people to watch.

This is about optics. This is about PR. Let's call it what it is. They want to attach convicted felon to the front of Donald Trump's name. And they want to say it repeatedly between now and November. I think that this is more about what the American people see. And what would you say, Congressman, that they are seeing out of this trial?

Is the backfire complete? Is it in progress? What is your read on what they see? I think it's demonstrated that it's increasingly in progress for those who maybe didn't already know. But after they obviously worked to rig the election in 2020, they're trying to do the same thing here in 2024. They started, of course, with trying to keep President Trump off the ballot. Thankfully, the Supreme Court stepped in and negated that from happening. But now it's this law affair. It's this legal persecution. It's these rogue prosecutors that are colluding illegally, I might add, with the Department of Justice under Merrick Garland. So they're trying to weigh him down with getting him off the campaign trail, weigh him down with the cost of the legal battle. And then, as you said, try to get some kind of a conviction in a crooked Georgia court or a crooked New York court, which ultimately absolutely would be overturned on appeal because these are ridiculous. These are trumped up charges, pun intended there. These false business records, allegedly, or the other charge that he overstated his assets on a loan application that was paid.

And everybody made money on it. There's no victims. There's no one that's been hurt by these alleged phony crimes that he's been accused of. So I think the American people are seeing what the Democrat Party is desperately trying to do. And I think that's reflected in the polls that moderate swing voters, independents, are coming to President Trump. They're flocking to him in the minority community. They're flocking to him in the young people. Because everybody was better off three years ago under President Trump. And they know this is just a sham by a desperate president, a desperate Democrat Party.

Yeah, I mean, I think that's right. You brought up Merrick Garland. Yesterday, he was quoted as saying, you know, we're doing everything we can to protect these institutions, like the Department of Justice, from political interference. And I think, you know, everybody on our side of the aisle collectively wanted to rip our hair out after what we've seen over the last couple of years. Now, I know that the House is moving to still hold him in contempt for not handing over the Robert Herr video and the tapes of that.

We have the transcripts, but I think the tapes are so damning, they don't want to let those get out. What is your hope that comes out of this sparring with Merrick Garland? And what can Congress really get accomplished here?

Well, to your point, they're not even pretending anymore, really. The abuse of power and the consequence of the stated result, or reported result anyway, of the 2020 election. To have a Department of Justice and an attorney general, and for that matter, an FBI director, who will weaponize the power that they have against conservatives, against political opponents. You know, going after pro-life protesters in SWAT gear in the wee hours of the morning to arrest people in front of their children. Whether it's going after those that exercise their Second Amendment rights, or those who are practicing their faith, or showing up at school board meetings as concerned parents. This abuse of power, this weaponization, is unprecedented.

They're not even pretending anymore. This willingness to suppress free speech and a clue with big tech to control information. And so what they would do if they had four more years of this, how could we survive that as a country? So everything's on the line as a constitutional republic, and you're seeing what they will do in this illegal collusion. They've got Michael Colangelo they send to the New York court to work with them after he leaves the Department of Justice.

Yeah, and Fannie Willis, his boyfriend, coming up and meeting with the Department of Justice to collude on that case. The unbelievable harm that they're trying to do, their unbelievable desperation to cling on to power. Because they know their goose is cooked when President Trump gets re-elected, and he comes back into power, and he cleans out the swamp. He'll be a whole lot better prepared after four years of suffering through it in his first term to make an even bigger difference in his second term. I've said the same thing, Congressman, that, you know, yeah, it's terrible the country had to go through four years of Joe Biden. But if Donald Trump gets re-elected, the amount of perspective and preparation we're going to have for a second Trump term will be rather incredible.

I genuinely believe that. So, Congressman, last questions here before we have to let you go. I think I share your disappointment in this Congress, and I'm not going to make you speak into it necessarily if you don't want to. Speaker Mike Johnson's been a massive disappointment, FISA Section 702, the Ukraine aid, no border security. What, if anything, can we have hope in in this Congress before November? Is the marching order to just hold the line and get better Republicans via the primary process?

What are the marching orders? Well, you kind of said it there at the end, but you're right. And the reason why I have the battle that I have, the enemies that I have in Washington, is it's the very people who voted for the two omnibus spending bills, the Uniparty that stuck it to us and kept in place the policies from when Biden, Pelosi and Schumer had full control of government and actually increased the spending. It's the very people who voted to reauthorize FISA without a warrant requirement, the very people who borrowed, voted to borrow ninety five billion dollars and send it overseas and betray the American people and not secure our border and stuck in nine and a half billion dollars for Hamas to buy Democrat votes for the Israel portion of that.

Those are the people who are our enemies, who hate what we're trying to do. They hate the change we're trying to bring to Washington, hate that Freedom Caucus members expose them as the phonies that they are so that you're right. We can't change Washington with the people who are in Washington. So we've got to get new people elected. We've got to defeat some of these rhino incumbents in these races where we've got good Freedom Caucus fighters like like Jared Sessler in Washington and Brendan Herrera in Texas and Adam Morgan in South Carolina. We've got to get people like that elected and win these open seats.

We've got to get more courageous conservative warriors that will have President Trump's back and stand up and be just as tough as he is and help women enact his agenda in that in that first hundred days. Congressman, thank you for your your leadership, for chairing the House Freedom Caucus. A lot of our best friends are in that in that caucus. So Godspeed. And and I share your enthusiasm for a lot of the names that you just you just threw out there.

We're doing our part at Turning Point Action to get behind a lot of those candidates. So thank you. Thank you, Congressman. We'll speak to you soon. Thank you, Andrew.

I've been wanting to get to this story for a few days and I, you know, with this open segment before we bring Keith in, I think it's the perfect time to do so. So let me set the stage.

I know Ryan's pulling a clip that I that I want to show specifically. There's a gentleman named Winston Marshall. He's a British guy. He was a part of the band Mumford and Sons that was wildly popular.

I think they're still pretty popular, but they had hit after hit for a couple of years. And he was at the Oxford Union and he debated Nancy Pelosi of all people. And he, some of these clips went extremely viral over the Internet. And it was a it was a telling scene where you had a band member debating the former Speaker of the House and current Congresswoman, who's one of the most famous political figures actually across the world. She's not just famous here.

She's famous across the world. And the basic premise was that from Winston Marshall's perspective was that populism is not a threat to democracy. So I consider myself sort of a conservative populist.

I'm sure many of you do as well. But it was a remarkable moment where I think inside of the Oxford Union, Pelosi completely won the debate, according to them. It is, of course, it's a bunch of liberals in college.

That's just what's going to happen. But on the Internet, outside of that bubble, Winston Marshall clearly got the better of Nancy Pelosi. So let's play a cut from this exchange inside the Oxford Union 202. Words have a tendency to change meaning.

When I was a boy, woman meant someone who didn't have a... Populism has become a word used synonymously with racists. We've heard ethno-nationalist, with bigot, with hillbilly, redneck, with deplorables. Elites use it to show their contempt for ordinary people.

Play cut 203. If the motion was that demagoguery was a threat to democracy, I would be on that side of the House. If the motion was that political violence was a threat to democracy, I'd be on that side of the House. January 6th has been mentioned. A dark day for America indeed. And I'm sure Congresswoman Pelosi will agree that the entire month of June 2020, when the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon was under siege and under insurrection by radical progressives, those two were dark days for America.

There is no turbulence there. So you don't agree? That's fine. You don't agree.

That's fine. So Nancy Pelosi, and this is the part that I found striking. So just to get you guys up to speed, the Oxford Union is a debate between two sides. And both sides have multiple speakers usually that present different viewpoints.

It's very stuffy, old school, but I kind of love it. The suits and the bow ties and everybody has the quorum. But it's a raucous debate. And actually, Charlie's been invited to do this and I think he will eventually when the timing's right. But then the fact that Nancy Pelosi got so triggered, because she's never been confronted with these ideas, that actually she's not used to hearing this viewpoint, articulated brilliantly by Winston Marshall in this moment, but it really triggered her.

And he went on the Fox show and said as much. When I'm speaking a couple of times, Madam Pelosi, she mouths at me. Who are you? Who are you?

Which I will translate. Do you know who I am? Fair enough. I'm a nobody. She's entitled to think that.

But I thought that was rather arrogant. The other thing you cannot see is that at one point when I'm reading out, she looks at me and she goes, Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this? Why are you defending real people? Why are you defending the voices that the elites in both the European Union and DC refused to listen to? Those deplorable, the smelly Walmart people that want to reclaim their culture, that want to defend their borders, these terrible ideas. How dare how dare somebody defend those ideas? It's just telling to me that Nancy Pelosi was so struck by that. It's like she lives in such a bubble. Anyways, it's a great moment.

I encourage everybody to go to go check out Winston Marshall's Twitter feed for those videos. A great debate. Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here. What an unbelievable start to 2024. We had last month saving babies with preborn by providing ultrasounds. And we're doing again this year what we did last year. We're going to stand for life because remaining silent in the face of the most radically pro-death administration is not an option.

As Sir Edmund Burke said, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. And we're not going to do nothing. Your gift to preborn will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice. Two hundred eighty dollars can save 10 babies. Twenty eight dollars a month can save a baby a month all year long. And a fifteen thousand dollar gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.

And will also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret. Call 833-850-2229. That's 833-850-2229 or click on the preborn banner at CharlieKirk.com. That is CharlieKirk.com and click on the preborn banner.

Also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret. I'm a donor of this organization. They're terrific. Go to CharlieKirk.com.

Click on the preborn banner. Keith Rose joins us now. Keith, welcome to the show. Thanks, Andrew.

All right. We've got a lot to talk about. We've been focused on domestic issues. Our show is is primarily focused on domestic issues. We're America first here, believe it or not. But Keith, with somebody of your experience and understanding of these global trends, some of this international violence that we've been seeing, I think it's important that we kind of put the pieces together for everybody here. There was a massive story out of Slovakia this week.

Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot and gravely wounded on Wednesday. He was visiting a small town of Handlova. And we've got some B-roll. It's, you know, it's a little graphic. I apologize to the audience. But tell us what happened here, Keith, and what are some of the broader implications regionally with Russia, Ukraine, Poland? It's nestled right in between, I think, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine. It's a critical little place.

Right. And the way the press is trying to spin this after the assassination attempt is they always say assassination attempt against Putin ally or assassination attempt against the leader of Slovakia, who's similar to President Trump. I mean, they they try to set the headlines to understand to help you understand why this gentleman had an assassination attempt. And the reason he did is because he has come out as a very hard line against the globalist order. He's come out against the World Health Organization's treaty, their pandemic treaty. And it's interesting because if you actually go on the Internet, use the search engines and ask about the assassination attempt, one of the first things you'll find is a fact check that says there is no information that says that Prime Minister Robert Fico was against the WHO pandemic treaty. That is unless you actually go to the Slovakian news, European news, and you can see multiple articles where he came out against the WHO treaty ever since January of this year.

So what they're telling us not to believe with our eyes is what we should understand is so he had that he's against open borders. He's also against sending money to Ukraine, which they say makes him a Putin ally. But what he does, what no one's talking about is Ukraine's only accomplishment since the wall fell in 1989, or since the Soviet Union broke up, is the only accomplishment is it's the world headquarters for money laundering for all countries that want to hide money.

I mean, it's the Swiss Army knife of money laundering. So he's not for that. He's not for the world pandemic treaty, and he's also not for open borders, and he's for the people. And because of that, he's now a Putin ally or a Trump apologist, and that's how they're trying to frame it. Yeah, exactly to your point, you'll hear people describe Fico or FICO as a right wing guy.

But it's really not that simple. His party's actually left wing on a lot of economic issues. And I think they identify as a social democratic party, which basically means socialism. But they're also, you know, they're kind of like old school Bernie, right, where it's like anti-immigration, sympathetic to Russia, also sounds Bernie-esque, anti-American, anti-LGBTQ. They kind of follow this almost hungry model, it seems like.

I mean, this little bloc, Hungary, Slovakia, but they're also anti-American. So I think it's not that simple. And the shooter is a 71-year-old former security guard, and they're saying he's a lone wolf. And what's really sick to me, Keith, is that the media is basically saying this guy had it coming, because he stoked division as if an assassination attempt against a world leader is somehow justifiable.

I find it really simple. Yeah, go ahead, Keith, if you have something to add there. No, I was going to say, where do you hear the same lines you just said to me that you're hearing about this prime minister? It's the same lines you hear about President Trump. It's the same lines you hear about anyone that goes against the globalist agenda. They don't care that he might be more socialist. What they care about is he doesn't support a treaty, the World Health Organization pandemic treaty, which really is a major power grab and a big shift in the global order. And so since he's not for that, I think they're against him. As far as what the newspapers report, well, we all know how the news gets their news and what they're told to say.

So it's really hard to dig through the smoke in the mirrors to find out why. Let's turn our attention to NATO and Ukraine, Russia. So New York Times has it this morning. As Russia advances, NATO considers sending trainers into Ukraine. Trainers into Ukraine.

And the Times follows up by saying the move could draw the United States and Europe more directly into the war. The Biden administration continues to say that America will have no troops on the ground. Trainers. What do you make of this, Keith? Is this special ops?

What are trainers? Well, first of all, we need to understand what NATO is. NATO is completely toothless without the U.S. If the U.S. has no presence, NATO has no strength. NATO can't run air missions because they don't have air tankers.

Only the U.S. does. So without direct U.S. support, it's more of a newspaper headline and not a real credible threat. Now, trainers can mean a lot of different things.

I'm sure there are certain groups that could put people in as trainers, as denied assets. But for NATO to be an actual threat and an actual deterrence against Russia, they're going to have to do not only micro but macro things, like have air missions. They need that type of logistics support. And you can't get that from a deniable source. You have to get that from a major nation state. So I think it's a lot of posturing right now. It's really hard to know what's actually going on in Ukraine.

I have several people I know there. And you're not getting the reports on the news. And again, what I tell folks is, look at what you're not seeing. You're not seeing video after video of Ukraine's success. And believe me, if they were having any, you would see videos of it because that fits the current narrative. And right now, Ukraine's running short on personnel. They're kidnapping people to enlist, quote-unquote, into their military.

So they're having a lot of issues. So I don't think NATO trainers are the answer unless NATO trainers is a cover for a big country, i.e. United States, to come in and provide the logistical support, especially for air missions, which is the only way they're going to be able to move forward.

Yeah. Well, it's interesting, off the heels of the $60 billion package that was approved by Congress, by the UNIPARTY, and then there was another announcement of a billion dollars worth of arms going over. Biden, the White House, just announced that a couple days ago.

You mentioned this kidnapping. I mean, it's forced conscriptions in Ukraine. I mean, the average Ukrainian soldier is now 42 years old. So they've killed off a whole generation of Ukrainians. They have.

Which is a total tragedy. Now, Keith, without giving away too much of how you gather this information, what are people on the ground telling you about, essentially, a lot of this is a stalemate, and really it's Russian gains, if anything that's happened lately. Do we have a clear idea of what the next couple of months in Ukraine are going to hold? Are they going to try and mount another counteroffensive?

What are you hearing on the ground? I don't believe they can mount a counteroffensive because they have nothing to mount it with. If you look at a lot of the pictures of the, quote, successes coming out of Ukraine, and then search the internet on background imaging, some people that are really good at OSINT, open source intelligence, you'll find out that a lot of these are doctored pictures. And so when you're having to run propaganda as success, that tells me you're not being successful. That on top of what you just said, when the average soldier is 42, infantry, active kinetic work is usually a young man's game.

And so it's not boding well. And you also have in Ukraine, you have a lot of people that want to be a part of Russia, that like Russia, especially in Crimea. And so again, put that on top of not getting accurate news information from just not only the kinetic side, but the actual side that talks about the economics of it. And Andrew, you mentioned $60 billion was just appropriated for Ukraine. To put that in context, at the height of both Afghanistan and Iraq, during the height of both of our wars in those two countries or our military interventions, at the height of it in both countries together, I think our total spend that year was $42 billion. Don't quote me, but it was around in the $40 billion. So you're talking about where we had major forward operating bases.

We're running constant missions in two separate countries. We have hundreds of thousands of troops or tens of thousands of troops in some places. And our total spend was $42 billion. And you need $60 billion for a country that we're not even in. So the question should be asked, why are we spending that much money and where is it going?

But Congress can ask that question because they refuse to allow oversight for that money. Yeah, well, I mean, you know, there's a lot of speculation. I mean, even CIA Director Burns apparently flew to Ukraine and warned the oligarchs there to stop stealing so much off the top. So a lot of bad signs from a bad war.

Sure, that did a lot of good. Yeah. Keith, is it scalpels or scalpel?

I'm just blanking on it. It's the scalpel with Dr. Keith Rose. The scalpel.

And the X is at Scalpel Edge. Yeah, it's an amazing podcast. I listen to it all the time. Dr. Rose, it's safe to say you've spent probably the majority of your time abroad in the Middle East region, I would say. You've developed a lot of sources there, a lot of connections, a lot of relationships. You're hearing something out of Iran, Hamas, Israel, this part of the world that's so hot right now.

Tell us what you're learning. Sure, to understand everything about what's going on with Hamas, you need to understand what's going on in Iran. And of course, Israel and Iran had a little dust up a while back. If you remember back in April, Israel flew an air mission inside of Iran and made some strategic strikes in some very sensitive areas.

That was what was seen on the news. What wasn't seen on the news is when Israel did that air mission, they came in and left and the Iranian military could not figure out where the jets came from or where they went to. They were employing a stealth technology that completely woke up Iran as far as from a military standpoint. Iran has the K-3000, the Russian air defense system. It's their premier air defense system. And they were completely blinded.

They had no idea where they came from or where they went. And it played out later when Iran shot the ballistic missiles at Israel. We heard about that. That was their response to that air attack. Except the missiles, when they hit, nothing happened. And when the DOD, the ordnance experts, were sent out to do a battle damage assessment, a BDA, they found out that the warheads in the Iranian missiles were empty. There was no payload.

And that was intentional. Iran had to save face by shooting missiles, but they didn't want to anger Israel anymore because they realized Israel has a very large advantage on them. So now you go to Hamas. Iran is tired of Hamas. And to understand what's going on, we need to see who's not saying anything. And that's Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority.

You're not hearing a word from him. And what I believe is that he has backed off with the support of Iran and they're just allowing Israel to go in there and take care of Hamas. See, Israel is making strategic strikes. They're using their special operation units. And they're making it where the Hamas leadership can't stick their heads out in the light of day. And when you can't be present in the public square, you can't govern. And so I think they're creating a void that the Palestinian Authority will come in and fill.

And most of all, that region is kind of tired of war right now. And so while they're in, the other way you can connect that, here's something a lot of people don't know, is that Mahmoud Abbas and the current religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, I believe it's Khomeini, I'm sorry, Ayatollah Khomeini, both were graduates of Patrice Lamado University in Moscow. And they were the class in 1968. The reason I know that is because they're in the yearbook together. And they met back then because Russia used to bring in third world leaders to that university.

You had to be invited. And that's where they were indoctrinated. That's where they were trained and then sent back to their countries. And so they're very close. So Mahmoud Abbas and the current religious leader of Iran were friends since 1968.

And they have a tight relationship that goes way back. So I think they're sitting back and watching Hamas get pummeled and they're just tired of them. And I can tell you, I talked to someone this morning in the UAE and he said that in Kurdistan and the Iraqis, normally always they fought, they're getting along. In fact, they're working together because the Iraqis are getting tired of the Iranians. He said, I realized the Iranians would wear out their welcome.

And I think they're doing it more and more. Because what I understand now is Iraq and northern Iraq or the Kurds have made a deal on the Ambar oil gas play. And they're going to work on getting that gas sent in through Jordan, through Aqaba. And if they do that, it will stabilize the region. Right now, the Middle East is tired of war.
