Welcome into the Winklerverse. This is part two of our draft coverage. Part one. If you haven't heard it yet. Is all the build up and lead up, and two guys in the comments fighting about one guy's profile picture has him wearing a mask when they won in 2021.

It's been real absurd and obnoxious. In the comments for sure. We also talked about the future. The Ghana stuff. I have big regret that I didn't go harder on Giannis earlier.

Like within the last year When he booed the fans, we should have all turned. Sure. That was a big mistake. We just gave him the benefit of the doubt. He was very clear that he wanted out.

We should have been even more clear that we didn't want them.

So that's what we've talked about.

Okay.

Now as they bring in Paul Imig. who I will talk to on Wednesday. For taking me out to the ball game and on Thursday For mm-hmm. As I put on my Tennessee shirt now for Ament. Mm-hmm.

Um We're breaking down. The two picks. I will again read John Hollinger's breakdown. On the uh Burry's pick. Which I love this pick by the Bucs.

In their position, you have to get the best player available. And Burry's was the last player left in my tier of quality guards before we got into the everybody else portion of the draft. His arrival could also be a signal that newly acquired Tyler Hero might not be a long-term guy in Milwaukee. The grade on that is an A minus. And that, okay.

Yep. And I'll let you share your thoughts. Before I get into the Ament discussion, what did you think of that first? Pick.

So I'm more of like the roster construction Overall Then I am What the individual player is right now, I wanted them to take. A guard? who could at least get up some shots, partially because I think it's Going to be more interesting to watch than like a Nate Ament, who might be way better than Burry's in two, four, six years, but is not going to like. Light anything up, which Burry's has a chance to do, especially, and that's my part B, especially if they trade hero, which I very much hope that they do. Is like, okay, if you get Burry's at 10, which they did.

I think it opens up more opportunity to not, and again, for what the Bucks are going to be in 2026, 2027. the word need is relative because How good can they be? Unless, you know, again, they have a lot of things they're going to still be able to do with Miles Turner and. Kuzma and who knows what else. But so the team the team is far from set.

But I like it from getting a guard, someone who can get up shots and do shot creation. And I like it from the fact that I think that allows them to more easily Fill like the minutes that would otherwise maybe go to hero. Again, I don't think that's absolutely like cause like one if they didn't get buries, they would have to keep hero. If they now that they have burries, they're definitely gonna trade hero. That's not What I'm saying, but I It seemed like the the right roster construction type of thing to do.

Well, they was the best player available from what I see.

Well, and again, I don't. I don't, okay. The one thing was really confusing to me in the past. 24. If you take A-Man at 10, you probably don't get buries at 13.

You definitely don't get buries at 13. No, and you were never going to go with. Um, you know, the 23-year-old shouldn't be 24-year-old Jaksenberg out of uh well, two big guys win, so maybe. I mean.

Well, no, I don't. That's when you start to see like trade-ups. I never saw Burry's go past 11 in any mock. But I was going to say, the thing that confused me, and it connects to the draft pick. is I've I mean, I think it's clear from, you know, just.

being able to read a room. That If If Jimmy Haslam was making the pick, or in not the pick, if Jimmy Haslam was influencing yesterday's pick trade, if I was the owner of the team and it was my job to like make the money, make the franchise money and put butts in seats. And yeah, yes, winning will do that, but the short term of having Jalen Brown. And so I think the obvious thing to say is that if. Jimmy Haslam had really his hands around the throat of the franchise, then Jalen Brown would be a buck instead of this heat package.

That's not what happened. The thing that confused me is that a guy who I just fucking despised, Kevin O'Connor, was the person saying the opposite. He was like, oh, well, this is proof that. Jimmy Haslam is and I'm like No, that's that can't. You're as usual, Kevin O'Connor, like you're completely flipping this thing 180.

That's that's not the case. You're misreading this thing as you. Typically do. Similarly, with not taking Ament at 10, but still getting him at 13, is for those who might not know. And the reporting of Jimmy Haslam being the University of Tennessee's biggest donor, I think he just gave $130 million recently.

Again, the biggest. School donation that they've ever had. That, okay, if you're going to take him at 10, even though Burry's dropped, now I'm again thinking, like, oh man, like, this is clearly an ownership influence and not just any. Member of the ownership group, but specifically has them, and we all. You know, they are very well aware of what he has done with the Cleveland Browns in recent history.

So, I like that not only did I feel I didn't do the Haslam thing, which I think would have been Jalen Brown trade instead, but they also waited to get to 13 until taking A-men.

So, I like that too.

So, I don't know how the players are going to work out. And this is going to be a really interesting year where these guys can actually get real playing time. But the signal that it sends to me is that For better or for worse? Draft history from John Horst, not exactly tremendous, to say the least, but it tells me that at least he made the picks or the front office made the picks, which, you know, picking between John Horst's recent draft. History and then Jimmy Haslam's recent ownership history.

Like, that's not a great thing to choose between, but I'm glad that the basketball person people seem to make. The the pick at 10. And I don't think Even going at 13 for Ament is. Oh, well, Jimmy Haslam made that pick. That's where A-Men should go.

Like, that's 13 is perfectly fine.

So, we'll see what the players actually are. But I'm about process and about roster construction. I liked the roster construction of the positions they got, and I liked the process that got them to these two picks.

So, I'm. You know, again, for a team that's where they are, having just traded Giannis less than 24 hours ago, I like it. I think the process was good. The uh breakdown on Amen. Is, and I'm really going full blown with him.

That's. That's what I was told. That's the pronunciation.

So that's it. It is ament. You got it right.

So he's 6'9, but he's 2'10.

So he's very skinny. For his size. The analysis on the athletic, this was not a great freshman season. Scouts came away underwhelmed with his profile. We'd be willing to hear the case that is environment of Tennessee not ideal.

For his success. It's genuinely impressive that he handled the kind of usage he was given. on an elite eight team. Uh eight team eight. Team A lot of his season had popped up in the past as skill-based concerns.

The finishing has always been a concern. Handle not creative. Jump shot needing work. Plays very upright and is tall with his hips. Maybe he can get moved around quite a bit.

I'm willing to fully sell him as a difference maker in the NBA because his arch type is not my favorite, and yet a lot of the profile. Reminds me of Jaden McDaniels coming out of Washington.

Well, okay.

Now.

So the the the name that first off if he's Jaden McDaniels. I mean, then obviously you steal him at 10, you steal him at 13. That would be incredible. And then it finishes: I'm going to end up lower than many scouts, but I can't disregard this skill set. As a 3 and D guy.

Yeah.

So fluid athlete. Good in transition. Driving and getting into the foul line.

So, two guys that can get to the line pretty good. Um Upside on defense. But the areas for improvement is he's not explosive, inefficient. And he's just, he's thin. And so that is the concern.

But if you remember And I'm not comparing him. But if you look at Giannis. He was very thin. And now he's muscle man, so. The the the name that I had Scene Um Kevin Kevin's got a good comment where John Horse Drafts low ceiling, low floor.

Just dudes. Yeah.

Um The name that I had seen and had I was glad that I was glad to see it because it kind of aligned with what I Saw with my own eyes. was Jonathan Isaac. Which like Pre-injuries, Jonathan Isaac. Oh, wicked games. What's that?

Oh, that's Chris Isaac. Right. No, not that guy. The Orlando. The other one, the other Isaac.

That's my impression. That's not bad. Then I can't hit the high note. I'm aware of who Chris Isaac is, but. His music lacks breakdowns and screaming and The video is just like two models fucking on a beach.

Whoever falls in love and remote.

So, anyway, Jonathan Isaac.

So, long story short. But, but. Am I glitchy? I don't know. Doesn't seem like that to me.

All right, I'm sorry to interrupt. It might be a glitch. Yeah.

Um But the other one that I thought was that I want to read more about this. This is why I prepare to come. To talk to you or even text, even text with you and Grant. I'd rather have fully done my research and not be. Doing it real time.

So, this is kind of off my typical way of doing this. But oddly enough, I thought in the pre-draft process, like, Are there similarities between Ayman and Usman Jeng? Buck New Buck or New Ish Buck, Usman Jeng, you know, just kind of lengthy and thin and undeveloped but theoretically opportunity to improve when you're this that long and that big. Um with that type of wingspan.

So Um maybe they have two Sman Jengs. I don't know. Um But I mean I think the thing that didn't happen Um That I certainly was hoping would. And it sounds from some of the reporting that John Horst tried. which was that they did not trade up into the top eight.

Like getting into the top eight was was really tough. Um But when Dallas went... Dallas, I think the Dallas pick at nine was the first one that from the mocks that I trust. That was the first, like, oh, they went with Mares Johnson Jr.

Okay, that was. A more rare person to see at pick nine because Dallas was connected to Burry's a lot as someone that they thought could play next to Cooper Flag, as someone in Burry's who could maybe, you know, not step in and start from day one for a team like Dallas, but could play meaningful minutes for a. You know, probably like a team in Dallas that's going to compete for a play-in next year.

So then it's like, okay, but when Burry's didn't go nine. That was a big deal because everything else to then had been pretty much chalk.

So if the Bucs tried to chade up into the top eight. To get, you know, one of the more like point guard-centric guys. To me, the next best thing was Berries at 10.

So I don't know. They didn't trade Hero tonight. I don't know if you saw, but like an hour ago. Hero posted something of you know 414, I think was his post. He won't officially be a buck, and maybe he never will be, but he won't officially be a buck until July 6th.

I'm not sure if you've talked about that last night or tonight. about that there's still what at what a week and a half two weeks between now and When the Giannis trade becomes official.

So between now and then, they can expand that deal. Theoretically, it was like, okay, are they going to? Get up to the fifth pick? Like, would the Clippers give up five in exchange for? Um Pick maybe 13 and hero or something like that.

And when the Clippers weren't going to do that. Obviously, it didn't make sense for the Nets to do that, even though now they just drafted yet another point guard after drafting three point guards last year. Um I don't know. Again, we don't know what the players are going to be like, but without having been able to trade up, which. I'm sure I wasn't the only Bucs fan who hoped that that was going to happen so they could really get one of those top Six or seven players like A Cuff or Boggler.

Am I here? Are you here? Am I? You're here. Why?

Yeah, it is dark where you are now.

Sorry about that. My computer died. It's charging. It's plugged in and it's charging. You probably it's fine.

I just kind of kept rolling. It was great. I thought it was better without you here. The only thing that I'm disappointed in, just to be honest, if I can throw some. Especially you, Lance, in the comments.

I was Brewers were for later tonight for me to watch, Lance. Oh, you had to know. Yeah.

Uh yeah, I guess. And yes, I am a big Pez guy. Oh no, my screen's backwards. What do you mean oh what do you mean? Super looks the wrong way, and my face is tilted.

It's wrong. It's the wrong layout. Oh, it's the words are super. I see super is still the correct. It looks funny, though.

Oh, it's not backwards? Super is not. Oh.

Well, to me, it is. I don't like that view. You know, when you go on Zoom and you see your face in a way you've never seen, like, not in the mirror?

So, what happened was, um, My computer died. It's plugged into the ring light, which apparently. Doesn't That means it doesn't charge the computer. Oh.

So I'm on my phone. Seems fine. They seem all right.

So you're just not using the mic then, right? I'm using whatever mic is on my fucking iPhone 15. God You were just talking. What a pro. Dude, I just went right through.

I didn't even need you here. But I'm sure you agreed with everything I said, right? Uh there was some stuff that I didn't agree with, but I'll save it for later. Yeah.

So, what's next then? I mean, these are the two picks. The Bucs do not have their 2027 pick. They don't have incentive to be bad. I mean, not only did the lottery rules change, But they don't have the 2027 pick.

So like. I don't want so. I guess the one thing I would say is: like, if they don't trade Hero between now and July 6th, and I think if they were. Uh Tonight wasn't a deadline to Trade Hero. Again, they have until July 6th.

But certainly using Hero to do something with, you could still wait to find out. Like, I still think. Oh, no boy, force, force. Don't do that. What the fuck?

Oh, he's gone now. That's even better. Professional reset Q We we like the picks. We like the process. We like that Ament went.

13 and not 10, so you could also get buries. I think the way that it unfolded with Marez Johnson Jr. going at nine to Dallas gave the Bucks a chance to actually get. Uh a a shot creating guard. And that's what I want it.

I think it's what they. Need and As someone who wants the Bucs to trade Tyler Hero in the next. two weeks. I hope that getting Burry's Gives them at least a little bit of an extra nudge to know that they have a two-guard who can step in and. And create a little bit.

So that's all good. But now, I mean, again, there's, there's. There's interesting trades, Bart. You've probably been so busy with Giannis' discussion, which you and I had. You mean we can talk about now, but I have a bunch of stuff lined up for Grant and us on Thursday.

some of the you know bigger picture stuff But there's still clearly going to be a Miles Turner trade, I think.

Now they didn't draft a center tonight. Does that mean that? without drafting a center. And Kalo, where is Probably as thin as Ament is. I mean, he's where is a thin guy, also.

I don't know. Does this make Miles Turner still a buck this season? I don't know if I I hope they can get value for him. Like if you if you can turn Turner. into Jakob Pertl's dog shit contract and a pick next year.

Yeah.

Awesome. The other thing, and I'll just keep talking because this is probably better than anything you'd have to say. That's for damn sure. No, I mean, I don't mind you joking that because it is. I don't mind you joking.

I am back on my computer. I'm just going to not plug anything in. No microphone. No, I got my overhead light on. You're okay.

You're okay? You look alright. Um The thing that you might not have talked about last night or tonight yet. Is the bucks in this Giannis trade, at least for now? Created a massive trade exception.

I think it's $25.5 million. Yeah.

And I was getting that.

Well, I was getting creative with that earlier today.

So, like, last night, what is it tonight?

So, Monday night, actually, not long before the Giannis trade happened, is when Julius Randall, we found out, has negative trade value. And the Timberwolves, just to get off of Julius Randall, moved back five picks in this year's draft from 28 in the first round to 33. in tomorrow night's second round. Because there are teams like the Nets. And the Bulls, who were part of that deal, which involved Nick Claxton.

To You know, to take on salary in exchange for moving some pieces around.

So, one of the things that I came up with earlier today is I was playing with, like, okay, what can you do with this trade exception? Is the Nuggets similar to how the Timberwolves really wanted to re-sign IO Desumnu, but could only do that in the books if they traded Randall first and then immediately re-signed Io? The Nuggets really want to re sign Peyton Watson.

So they can't They could do that, but ownership in Denver is cheap.

So now it seems like they want to move off of Christian Brown.

So, Christian Brown signed a massive five-year, $125 million extension that kicks in this upcoming season. And I think they might Julius Randle Christian Brown, meaning to say, Could you get, like, for example, the number 28 pick, or I think it's 26 tonight that Denver owns, 26 or 28 that Denver owns? Get Christian Brown into the trade exception. While adding another first round pick later tonight, like there's because you can do that. Like there are teams that, again, as Julius Randle found out last night, and by the way, the Nuggets, that's not like wishful thinking.

I saw it, you know, I mentioned earlier today, like in one of those worst contract rankings, that Christian Brown's contract is very much considered like one of the 10 worst contracts in the NBA. He's still a good player, but if you can get that type of guy Onto the Bucks while adding a pick. And again, that's just one example of many. But the trade exception that the Bucks got in the Giannis deal. can be played with.

And then the last thing I'll say, and then I really should stop immigrating this and hand it back to Winklerverse. No, this is the best podcast we've ever done. Is they also now have the non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which means anybody that's like a $15 million per year player. Is now available to be signed.

So I say all that to say, as much as it feels like the Bucs are rebuilding and there still feels like this should be a Kuzma trade and maybe a Miles Turner trade, though now I feel. Less certain about Miles Turner being traded. Again, unless it's for another center, a la like the Jakob Pertle. I suggestion that's been out there today. Is that they don't have their 2027 first-round pick.

So, unless they have a deal end up with Portland, and I don't know why Portland would give up Milwaukee's pick for next year without. Uh I just don't think it's realistic. I don't think there's anything they could do unless the Bucks are like, hey, give us back our 2027. We'll give you the Heats 2031 and 2033. Short of something crazy like that happening.

The bucks don't have incentive to like Be shitty this season. Like, so, but does that mean you keep hero? Like, even if you have hero, are you?

Well, people are wondering if they're the because the pistons have a couple picks later.

So you could still you could still do the pistons thing with hero. I mean, by the way, the guy that I know I'm not alone in this, but if you can get Ron Holland from Detroit. And maybe even get beef stew, Isaiah Stewart. Who the Pistons want to trade because they have to pay Jalen Duran and they have Paul Reed. If you can like if you can somehow turn hero.

Into Holland and beef stew, like. That would be incredible value as you round out like the Giannis trade.

So, the point is: $25.5 million trade exception. You've now opened up the non-taxpayer mid-level for a $15 million per year player. And as much as it might feel like the Bucks are rebuilding, they're not. They have every incentive in the world. To try this season.

And maybe that makes them more likely to keep hero, maybe it doesn't. But they're going to not purposely, there's no reason to be bad. Like, there's literally no incentive. Ownership doesn't want to be bad because they want to sell tickets. The front office doesn't want to have to look next year and say, oh, shit, Portland is picking third overall, first overall, because we sucked too bad.

And we traded that pick those years ago to chase the championship, which was still the right thing to do at the time. And it's fine. But you don't want to look at that and be like, oh, well, we had such a bad season.

So they're gonna try. You know, it's not your typical rebuild because they don't own. Enough of their picks, including next year.

So Lots to still figure out with the roster. I take Jake is going to join us.

Someone wants to know if I should bring on Gary. Gary's back, by the way. Gary Wolfel's back. I told you this earlier: Gary Wolfel is reconnected with Gary Wolfel's back. We need to trust him.

He's got connections again. Jake Burry's. Amen. What do you think? Support for this podcast comes from Progressive, America's number one motorcycle insurer.

Potential savings will vary. When you're a maintenance engineer in a beverage manufacturing plant, you keep production lines moving and quality on track because there is no room for slowdowns. So nothing gets in the way of getting the job done. Call 1-800GRANGER, clickranger.com, or just stop by. Granger, for the ones who get it done. Thanks for letting me on. I kind of just needed to get on here to talk to someone.

Find that one real quick. Tyler Hero did tweet out 414, so people are speculating that he was told that he's sticking around.

So, yay. Um Yeah, so I jumped on last year. Sam Decker tweet: I can't wait to have a long, lovely career with the Milwaukee Bucks when he got traded for 15 minutes. I don't know. I guess it wouldn't surprise me if this ownership was deluded enough into thinking that Tyler Hero is going to sell tickets.

But yeah, no, he is. What well? Wait, wait, wait, honestly, you think Tyler Hero is going to sell tickets.

Well, they're going to market the shit out of him being from Milwaukee. But that's irrelevant. Is he going to like someone's gonna be like, you know what? I wanna do tonight is spend $120. on a decent ticket to watch Tyler Hero put up 26 and an L.

People weren't buying tickets anymore to watch Giannis do that, so I don't fucking know. Yeah, I'd buy tickets to see Mike Wilkes back in the day before I'd buy tickets to see Tyler Hero.

So that's a deep cut for real Bucks fans. Welcome to Nate Ament. Amen. Yeah, Amment. Yeah, I really appreciate it.

Even the Marzon says C minus. Damn it, now I have to change my whole application. All right, J, Jake, Jay Jake. No, no, it's fine. I'm used to the this is what happens in the verse.

Um, but yeah, the Paul knows. Um So, yeah, I really appreciated the opportunity to come on last night where I was basically stunned and in shock and kind of trying to process things. And today, your boy Hot Take.

Okay.

I am so fucking sad. Like... This fucking sucks. Thanks. I'm never Brayden Burry's Nate aim at like I couldn't even just get, you know, draft one of my guys, like two of the guys I really don't have interest in.

Of course, you take those two guys and like. I just I don't. I don't know where I go from here as a Bucks fan. There's no.

Well, Durant, okay, so something, Jake. The problem there is. Giannis got traded. The thing that we never thought Like We knew it might happen, whatever, but still that. And you don't get any time to think about it because less than 24 hours, it hasn't even been 24 hours as of right now.

And we have two more players on the team from a fucking draft. Like, there was, there's no time. to process whatever emotions you're going to have.

So that's a mind fuck for a lot of Bucks fans. I'm I'm at the point where I'm mad at myself. For not having been more of a Like a dick about Giannis's last year. Because he clearly And I, you know, I said he faked injuries, but everyone still thought that was tongue-in-cheek. I wasn't kidding.

When he booed the crowd, I should have just completely fucking said, get the fuck out of here. And we all should have. He, Austin earlier, said it's not the Milwaukee Bucks fans, we were the Milwaukee Cucks. Because we just sat there and took, he sat on his ass and double thumbs downed us, and we're all like fucking forgetting about it the next day. Like, you can't fucking do that shit.

To be clear, I've wanted to. On the show, and the Winkliver has been wanting to trade Giannis for it. I think it's at least two years, but I think it even predates acquiring Dame.

So. I was an early adapter on this one.

Well, it's like with counsel. We're all like, why the fuck did you go? And then once you're thinking about it, you're like, Actually, why didn't this happen sooner? Like, what are we hanging on to? And the same thing is going to happen with Matt LaFleur.

So, at least I have that one right.

Well and you know Giannis really hurt hurt us in the like He hurt our feelings, like, because he led us astray. You know, it. The whole thing about his team basically having sex with Miami while talking to us on the phone, saying, I still love you, baby. Was I just uh I gotta start. And it's such a pussy ass move to go to Miami.

Like I made the comparison to, you know, I've been re-watching The Last Dance and Like the part where Jordan couldn't get past the Pistons, and the Pistons were always beating the shit out of him.

So, like, imagine in 1990, Michael Jordan decides to join the Pistons, or like Kobe back in the day, decides to join the Spurs. Like, it's such a bitch-ass move on. Burrants are the Warriors. Yeah, it's Giannis. I don't think this isn't that.

This is this is Giannis. Like this, the heater, no good. No, it will not work in Miami. And like he doesn't feel like if Kevin Durant left the thunder. To join the Sacramento Kings.

He'd be like, what the fuck are you doing there? Or I don't know if I go to the bottom. Who else was competitive? The Rockets at the time were.

Okay.

I'm trying to think who else the more. Wasn't it at the tail end of like the Duncan Spurs? Like, maybe that'd be a better one, like, trying to recapture the last gasp there. I mean, honestly, I don't think Giannis realizes what he did to his legacy this past year. If he would have, you know, if he didn't want to stay in Milwaukee, that's fine.

Come out, have a press conference and say. I'm so Thankful for my time in Milwaukee. It's time to move on.

So, me and the team have decided to probably be respectful. But you really, really did the bitch move of trying to, like, well, no, I mean, if that's what you want to do, you know, you want to break up. No, if I mean, I guess if you're making that decision, and he thought we were dumb enough to believe it. And I'm I'm I don't like it. I think you said it yesterday, Bart.

I'm not going to be able to watch his introductory presser to hear him start on about.

Well, you know, it was, I love the Milwaukees, it'll always be home to me. But, you know, the the team, you know, they decided that they didn't want to move forward anymore. Like, you know, that's happening. And I'm going to wanna like punch him through my television or screen, whatever I'm watching it on. No, the only thing that's does in an uh Bart and I have not Winklerverse chatted about The Giannis trade yet.

Uh Whatever it makes me as a human being, it's fine. But I am glad he's not in Boston. When I asked the topic, and we had, you know, the three of us with Grant ranked if we could pick one team you don't go to, and I picked Boston. Bart, did you go to Chicago maybe with Miami as a runner-up? Could you imagine if he was in Chicago today?

I mean, I know it's unlikely, but could you fucking imagine? That would suck. But the thing with the heat is. I said this on the news, like initially. Him being on the heat.

Sucks more than him being on Boston. No, see, that's what I was gonna say. And, you know, I but Boston. If they had Giannis. With Tatum.

And all their little fucking guys, the Richards, the whites. They're winning the championship. And that's the thing. Their heat are going to be on the road to start the playoffs next week.

So, this is why I was going to say this. And this is, I don't. echo the entirety of what Hate Jake is saying with Giannis. Um From the emotional connection and what it means and all of that. But I am the person who doesn't know.

Jake acts like he gave birth to Giannis, which is what I did. He's my son. What I didn't want is I didn't want to, as someone who literally watches every second of NBA playoff basketball. I did not want to have to watch. You know, every other night for two months, Giannis and the Celtics take Moeing down the east.

I did not want that. I don't necessarily need him to like fail and you know have a knee injury or like you know play 20 games next season, like whatever. That's fine. But I don't want to see him play. Eastern Conference finals basketball, NBA finals basketball.

And now I don't have to because the Heat are gonna be like fighting for the play-in. Not for a play in, but for a playoff spot. And I'll just, you know what, I'll just tee it up now because let's, I have plenty of topics for on Thursday.

So I'll ask the two of you. Over under the six and a half seed. In the East. for the heat. Over under six and a half.

In other words, if you had the odds to say they're going to be a one through six playoff. or a seven through 10 play in. If six and a half was the line, the six and a half seed. Where are you putting your money? I'm firmly putting mine.

on seven eight nine ten the play the play-in section.

So wh wh wh what shea you? I think it's fixed. I think he's put a good over under it.

So six and a half, though.

So you gotta, you gotta, yeah, I think. I think they're, like I said, I think they're starting on the road. I think they're five or six. You got New York, Boston. Orlando Well seven Detroit.

I hate Indiana. I don't want to say it, but Indiana. Yeah, it could be. I think they're bat they're battling right around there. Charles Lee and the Hornets are going to be this year's Pistons.

You heard it here first. You are the Charles Lee expert. I hope that Jake knows that story. I understood that reference. Um Yeah, so here's a take, I think, personally.

I'm more pissed that he's with the heat. But like When it comes to like legacy and all that, I'm glad he's not with Boston because he would have won with Boston, but it's still going to be so incredibly annoying from a guy who went to so many Bucs games with all the LeBron and Dwayne Waits jock sniffers that filled the stadium. You know, holding up their jerseys every time they did something. Like, cause you know, those are the lamest of the lame people, and now they're going to get to do that with Giannis. Um if I can, I'm gonna be Try to get a seat right behind the Heats bench for the first game with a Benedict onto the Kumpo sign.

I want to get kicked out of the game. I will be screaming at him. I will be booing during his little video that they play on the screen because you're full of shit. You're full of shit. And I think I said it to someone yesterday.

He is now the Russell Wilson of the NBA, where, like, He thinks he's legit and he's just cringe. That everything he does will be cringe. Interesting. Yeah, I saw a new commercial within him. I'm like, yeah, I saw that too.

Today, So, Jake, let's say that you follow through with that plan, which I would be entertained by if you filmed it. Crowdfunding. Yeah.

Like I'm Paul Hannig. You are going to be in what percent of that 17,000 when Giannis comes to Milwaukee? What percent, you and what other percent of the crowd is booing? Or has a negative reaction to us, I think you're going to be in like the 5% value. 5 to 8%.

Yeah.

And everybody who just cheers for him, fuck all of you. Cox. Absolute cucks.

Well, when I did, I did a two-minute hit on the news. Today. And they were doing like a Giannis tribute show. And And like all the news stations were broadcasting in front of the mur mural. Um And I was like I had very little time today.

Yesterday I had like five minutes, which I just fucking abuse. By the way, you never did send me the video of that. No, they don't post that. It's weird. But today I had like two minutes.

So I have to do like 30-second soundbite answers. And I said, Was it NSFW or something that they won't post it? No, I just said that Shams talks so poorly on TV, I don't think he could get hired in Wausau. That was a good take. Thank you.

Um Freems would have liked that take. I wanted to send him that. Hell yeah. Who is Freems tonight? Freems is in Vegas, I think.

Probably at a Milkman game or something. Yeah.

Well Ario's playing after. Wow.

So then I was like, look. There's a lot of joy. and celebration. And there's going to be a lot of sadness. But also there are other feelings here.

The Bucs gave him everything. They employed two of his brothers. He was non-committal this season. Like, yes. We will look back fondly at this Giannis era, but if you're a Bucs fan right now, that has anger or isn't Feeling the same vibe you're seeing from everybody else.

There is nothing wrong with that. And you should embrace those feelings because. This year was weird, and it wasn't like maybe what they were going. And I was also wearing my Giannis jersey, which I wanted them to comment on because I had a. It's gonna be the last time I wear it anyway, because I'm getting fat as fuck.

But I did. How about this? The Bucks worked with the government to get his family citizenship or to get them into the United States when they were having visa issues. And then this year, he actively tries to get the NBA to punish the Bucs for not letting him play to get their draft picks taken away. This shit happens all the time.

This shit happens all the time. Yep. And I do. We're the ones. No, but like think of uh think of a divorce.

You have people that fall in love head over heels. They do anything for each other, and then, even like five or 30, I don't know when, years later. It doesn't matter to them anymore because what matters in the here and now. It's crazy. How you can have such a Great relationship, and then it does fray, and when it frays, You don't think about the stuff in the beginning at all.

We're going to think about it. We're going to think about it because we're observers. But on the inside, he's pissed about whatever. We again again the day that he booed The crowd We all should have just said, fuck this. And we can't, we couldn't because.

He built up a lot of equity. He built up with us. But he burned through it pretty quickly. in this last year. And To get the net What's the number?

Somebody sent it to me. Yeah, like $12 million we fucking paid to NASA over the last three years for what? For what? You have all these moves for him. On one column, you're trading Purdame and you're stretching his contract and you're doing all this stuff.

And that's already enough. You're already doing enough. But then you're as the organization going above and beyond saying We love having your brother on the team. Any more you want on the team? Any more people we can employ for you?

I like you need a house sitter. We'll have one of our fucking interns. Die for this experience for you. Don't pay them. You know, everything's free.

We'll take care of everything. You want the old Bradley Center? You need a basketball court here? Have this fucking floor, you know? Which I have over there, part of it.

Somebody hooked me up. Allegedly. Allegedly. I believe them. It's a trusted individual.

I think it's a painted piece of wood, but that's just made of a trusted individual. Yeah, so I guess that's the thing. We already did enough where he should feel like. They've really taken care of me. But then we went.

This is. Oh, they drafted, they drafted LeBron's son. At least that motherfucker played. Like, got playoff minutes. LeBron the grandpa, by the way.

He is?

Well, he's going to be, isn't Bronny's. But he like that people are like oh fuck LeBron LeBron by the way Is still carrying Scrubs to the finish line. Jonas this year. Dipped out. with multiple non-contact injuries.

Yeah.

No matter what. Timeline diagnosis for when he'd be able to come. Oh, Yannis, it's four to six.

So if he really, so if he really did. Was this the Jim O report? They all get mixed together, but essentially, that the Bucks have known for 13 months. That Yannis was Heading out, and that horse still did the dame Turner stretch signing thing. If the 13-month thing is accurate, and no reason to think that it wasn't, that makes.

I was perfectly fine with the assumption that they were, you know, doing one last move to keep the marriage together. It was really, really, really, really risky. But in theory, Miles Turner, like a younger Brooke Lopez was, is a perfect. Is a perfect Giannis center because you need a guy who can. Help in the paint defensively, but still stretch the floor offensively.

It was really, really risky, but like, okay, if you're really trying to keep the marriage together. I get it. They tried to open a marriage thing. You know, that's the last thing you ever did. They did.

They tried to have it both ways. And then now you're still stuck with a $22 million per year. Dead cap hit on Dame for the next Four more years at least? Is it four more or three more years? I think it's four more.

I think it's four more years. Which is, you know. Not great. Um but they did all of this. And then At the end of it, when for sure, for sure, for sure, Giannis knew I'm gonna Not ask for a trade because I guess he can technically say, I never asked for a trade.

Remember the whole thing he did where he's like, my agents don't speak for me? I'm loosely paraphrasing. Why did we let him do all this shit?

Well, because we didn't, again, if you would have known definitively that come NBA draft night. You would have done a Giannis was traded to the heat show. And you would have known then what you knew now, which was that he's been one foot at least out the door for 13 months, or at least since April. At least since April. On the same time, by the way.

That he did that. 15-minute thing at the locker with a couple of the beat people, a few, I think Laurie Nickel was there too, in which he's like, Giannis opened the investigation. Bart, I said this to you and Grant. Is Giannis the first player in sports history? To like tattle on his own team and to send a league investigation into his own team.

I've never. I've never heard of such a thing. And that's on the same night that he's saying, basically, You should risk me getting injured. And really fucking the franchise so that I can go play with my two brothers in my last home game. Like, I I I get it.

Like, I But that's a level of like... Give me everything. And don't ask questions like that I is that I Props to the Bucs for all of the things that they Have not gotten right in the last three years with Giannis, starting with the Adrian Griffinhire. Um Well, yeah, I mean, I think that was the probably the Yes. Was that the firing bud?

Well, but I didn't hate that at the time. Um, I really didn't like Bud. I think I felt I think I felt about Griff. It doesn't matter. Griff, they went with a they went with a no, they went with a 20-year assistant that never got a job.

Who who has disappeared off the face of the coaching plan by passing guys Yeah, you fired him without a plan. Drew's here as well. We got Paul, Jake, Drew's joining. Drew. Haven't you before or no?

The last time I joined a live show was Dame's debut game against the Sixers. Oh, remember when I used to do nightly posts? God, I was dead. Yeah.

Yeah.

For the days. That back when we had hope. I interrupted my own thought, but Just bring in Drew.

Well, I'm going to drop off, but I just want to say. If anybody cheers for Giannis the night that he comes back. Everyone's going to cheer from this is Wisconsin.

So when they do. Whatever I said over the last year, people are going to say none of that matters because we can't. We like nobody in Wisconsin can think gray, it's black and white, and they don't like the gray, so they're throwing that out and they're just going to think of the good because they don't have the mental or emotional capability to understand the bad. We can't understand the bad here, so we're only going to think of the good. Everyone's always going to get welcomed, everyone's always going to be the hero.

I don't think Giannis needs to be booed out of the building, he also shouldn't be giving. I think if you cheer for Giannis when he comes back. You are basically the husband that gets cheated on and then apologizes to the wife. for making her feel that way that she needed to cheat on you. And once again, that's all I got.

But I love you guys. Thanks so much for the outlet.

So By the way, I was gonna say, Giannis is being eulogized today at his mural. Yeah, that was weird. We're acting like his fucking Euchre statue. Yeah, I mean, he's very much alive. Yeah.

wanted to leave. And and and like I do think Bart and Oops. As as animated as Hot Jake was in the anti-Giannis side. I do think it's fair to ask wonder Are the bugs actually like literally here? Does Fiserve Forum exist?

I mean, the. What is that? What is that term I'm looking for, Bart? Oh, I said on a line. The hope that Giannis brought.

Um did help the building. But it is not the building Giannis built. I will not call it that. Drew's fucking with his audio. He's I think he's gonna come back.

But why do you think and again, I'm not here to like... I'm not here to be the pro-Giannis guy. But like, why do you think Giannis doesn't deserve? That you can't talk, you talk, you talk, say your stuff. Uh I can't hear anything.

I can out. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Just Okay, we can hear you just say Your main Dots. Hold on. Hold on.

You got that?

Okay.

Yeah, go ahead. The point you made about Giannis being eulogized on online today, I thought was kind of weird. It's not like he died. I think we can say for that, like after he retires or something, I think it's okay to feel pain or remember the good times. But yeah, he's on the heat now.

Um I think I honestly, I guess the maybe that's not a hot take, but with um I'm excited with Jenkins with these young guys. I think the Heat are thin. I wouldn't be super surprised if the Bucs end up with a better record than the Heat next season. I don't really think. He's gone to a better situation per se.

I don't know how the space of the band, they might be great on defense, but they might only score 84 points in game two. Um I think One thought I Frank Mana had a good tweet that I responded back to that A lot of people are concerned about Miami's death, but I think if I was a Heat fan, my biggest concern would still be Giannis' health. Um I know it's his first this past year is his first like really kind of like Very long unhealthy season. But You know, You have that soft tissue injury. He's 32.

The way he plays may not age the best way. Both sides take risks, but I maybe I'm just on the copium. Maybe I'm just always gonna be a Bucks Homer. I I want to see what Jenkins can do with all these guys. As far as the draft, I love the Burries pick.

I think that's good. Tyler Harrow Insurance. I don't think they're going to trade him before the six. I think they're going to go into the season with him. see what they could get maybe at the deadline.

But I I really like the Burris pick, the Nate Emmett pick. I kind of hate, but like he's 19. He can't shoot at the rim right now, but again, I want to see what Jenkins can do with him. I would give the Bucks overall in the 24 hours since the trade and the draft.

Solid B. I I feel optimistic. I'm excited to watch like actual basketball and not drama next season. And um Yeah, I that's those are my thoughts. I'll drop out since I have some weird audio stuff.

Take it easy. That's Drew. Getting it done. Putting him on the spot. And getting it done.

Good thoughts there. Good takes from Drew. Uh Drew's spinning facts. And the Comments? We're brought to you by Happy PlayStation, promo code BART, 25% off.

Dan Shaney Insurance YouTube stream, Carl's Place. Thank you very much. I know all of you have signed up to watch soccer games at Tom's Watch Bar with my affiliate link.

So thank you for that. The point that Drew is making about watching actual basketball. Mm-hmm. I talked about this last night. With Ryan Rollins.

When you would watch Ryan Rollins, when Giannis was... At the Super Bowl or wherever the fuck he was. He was like very confident in himself. And then when Giannis came back. He didn't know how to play.

He didn't know what to do. And Giannis, it always felt like Giannis. What was the analogy? I used an analogy where it's like, oh, the Scrubs one. Oh yeah.

Where yeah. It's a completely new cast. Yeah.

Not this news news scrubs. Because there's now a new scrubs, which is like the old scrubs. Like when the girl from Happy Endings was now she was, yeah, yeah. And the other guy, it was, well, JD was, it was JD. They were like now the, what were they, the?

I don't know doctor language, but yeah. I am wearing this for Ahmed. Yes, I am wearing this. A meant. Amen.

Amen. I am wearing the Tennessee shirt for Ament. Um It just felt like he. And the team were two different things. Yeah, they were.

And I don't know. that they were ever going to be able to bridge that again.

So you take whatever parts that you liked. From last year. And you mentioned it earlier, and I was going to jump on it. By the way, there's been some trades. I'm yeah, there's nothing meaningful.

Like the pistons we've dug that we care about. Grizzlies keep trading back, whatever. I think. Turner is not going to be here. Probably not.

I mean, I hero. Probably not, but I just want to. Listen, I just have one fine, I just have one request, just one more. I want them to trade hero. I want them to trade Turner, but the thing that I must have happen Kuzma has got to, he's got to go.

Because I'm actually, I will watch. The Miles Turner you know um Tyler Hero Bucks if they have to be on the I don't want them to be but I'll watch it I don't think I'm willing to go through with watching Kyle Kuzma play for the Bucs.

So that's my. If I'm allowed to have one more pick. And I don't know what the roster is going to look like. And I don't know, like, I don't know how to, I don't. This is not the time to Over, under how many wins.

Or, like, what seed were we don't know what the team's gonna be? Yeah, you don't know yet. But, but again, this is what I think you should keep emphasizing, and we should just keep saying, though. is they are going to try to win this season. They don't have a 2027 first round pick.

There's absolutely zero reason to be like, well, this is the first step of a rebuild.

So now, if they can really bottom out and get a top five pick, they're getting a top nothing pick next year. They don't have a pick.

So, unless they have a two-year tank window where they're like, hey, but we do own our own 2028 pick. They're not doing that. They obviously aren't a championship contender, but they also don't have incentive to like bottom out.

So if they can go and get Ryan Rollins and Brayden Burrys, and some of these other young guys, like a meaningful play-in game, even if it's like that's still a good thing. like getting those young guys into a pressure game. Or games, even in a first-round loss, would be important in the step. And it's not like we'd have to look back and say, You know, oh man, if they had just lost five more games, they could have had another top-something pick. They don't have that pick, so like they're gonna try to win.

Whether or not that's with Hero and Turner and Kuzma. I would prefer not. But We shall see. And again, I'll mention this again for any who's joined. They have a netting now.

The Bucks have a $25.5 million trade exception.

So, if there's some team looking to dump a guy who makes $25.5 million per season or less. The Bucs can take him on. I suggested Christian Brown from the Nuggets. There are others. Literally, last night, the Timberwolves salary-dumped Julius Randall.

I don't want Julius Randle on the Bucs, but there are other players. I mean, Nick Claxton. Who went from the Nets to the Bulls? The Bulls gave up nothing for Nick Claxton, who makes $20 million a year. I'm not saying Claxton is amazing, but.

They got him for free. He's a he's a He's a starting center and like. You know, um, so there are things you can do with that, and then you also have the 15 million dollar non-taxpayer mid-level exception for the Bucks to use, so it's not just about Turner trades or hero trades or Kuzma trades. You have meaningful other assets to try and at least get your young players. Into, you know, a seven, eight, nine, ten play-in game matchup or something, because there's.

There's no other meaningful path. Beefy bites. I'm looking forward to some fun energy like the Bucs in the 2015 playoffs. When they won game four at the Bradley Center, remember when Giannis. who is not yet the team leader, decked Mike Dunlevy in game six.

I wanted to mention that because I saw A.J. Biapor's tweet. From uh channel six. He's like This will always be my sneaky favorite moment of the Giannis era, the Dunlevy thing. There's nothing sneaky about it.

Nobody forgot that. I just thought it was like, hey, remember? Yes, we all fucking remember. It was the greatest shit that ever fucking happened. It was like, holy shit.

This is something different. And that's what next year is going to be. It's going to be something. Different. And I don't know what that's going to translate to, but you know, sometimes when I talk about.

you know the packers or the brewers and Things get stale, and yeah, you're winning. You're winning enough to get in the playoffs and whatever, but you need like a dip, you need a change to get people excited. And I still think that's ultimately where. I wish this lighting was better. Or Haslam um What Haslam's looking at is everyone that wanted to go to a Giannis game has gone.

Everyone that wants a Giannis jersey has one. There's no way to get excitement about this team anymore with him, especially when he's not excited to be with this team.

So if I'm, forget that it's Jimmy Haslam. Forget that it's Jimmy Haslam. I'm a new owner that buys into the box. I understand what Giannis is. I know who he is.

I know what he's done. I know the relationship he has with the community. And then I get here and I meet Giannis, and we don't have a relationship, and he's like, Weird. And he's like. Not there, and he's doing more stuff with his.

And I have to like talk to his agent before I can talk to him. I'm like, what the fuck is this? Yeah.

This is you, you could do this with the Bucks. But I'm in charge now, or at least I have a say here in Jimmy Haslam's name, mentioned more by Bucks fans in the last 24 hours than the entire time he's at any stake in this team. It's like all of a sudden we're just: holy shit, Jimmy Haslam's our fucking owner, or at least part of it. Oh, when did that fucking happen? Oh, then motherfucker, come on.

So I I d I he Specifically, has no attachment Taianis. And in fact, he looks at him as a deterrent. to making money. Sure. There's a deterrent from we think money, but maybe he wants to win.

I don't know. He's a deterrent to that too, because he's never fucking playing and you can't count on him. And then he comes back and then he's got a boo-boo on his AoI. You know? Boo-boo onazawi.

Yeah, I didn't like that. Yep. It was all right. Um There, I mean I'm kind of catching up on some of the comments in the chat, but like What is there to get excited about next year? A basketball team.

Like, I think that's one of the things that was it, Jake mentioned or Drew mentioned, but like, it'll actually be. about basketball and like player development. I mean, Bart, there was a time, again, I'll reference it again, but when me, you, and Grant were being. And I said something to the effect of like. Wait, I was looking at a box score and I said, Well, this box score can't be right because it says Torian Prince played.

And you're like, Dude, he's been back for three weeks. I'm like, I mean, I obsess over the NBA and I was like, I'm not watching. This Bucks. I have better things to do with my time than watching the Bucks team that was on the court. Especially from February on last year, but really for the vast majority of it.

And I'm actually excited to watch a basketball team. Like, that's that. That has, I'm a purist. But like, that's what I want. I want to watch a basketball team.

This, especially if we can get rid of the Kuzma bullshit. Um And honestly, again, my preference would be Hero Turner. And Kuzma are all traded for younger cheaper pieces and they just you know Have the Ryan Rollins as the 23-year-old as the veteran of the group. Like, that's perfectly fine. AJ Greens, 26.

Let him be your oldest player. I don't care. Um That's what I want to watch, the basketball team.

So that's what I'm excited about as a purist. Where are we at in the draft? How is it? Did they take a break? It hasn't been.

I haven't seen, again, I can't see much because of what we're doing here, but there's. Jake Fisher tweeted the Charlotte number 18 pick 20. Five minutes ago. Yeah.

We're at number Yeah, let's look. I just, I want to stay on in case something. I mean, we might trade, we might not. Yeah.

There's the Possibility of it. I'm enjoying catching up on some comments too. And I would just say, I do remember saying something that I was quoted as saying like 20 minutes ago: I said, You said something about Freemason. I said, Where is Freemas tonight? And Nick, who obviously must know a lot about all things Winkler's show said, Bro, it's the NBA draft.

You know he's on vacation. Accurate. Chuck always took off the day after every draft. even NFL. Even NFL.

These are my favorite. This is the reason I wanted to do sports was for draft. Like, this is what I, this is what I like. But he always denied it. That's he was always like.

No, no player. I I had a thing. No you didn't. Yeah.

Why would he not want to do the draft? Like, that was the best. But he just wouldn't admit it. I just wanted him to admit it. He just wouldn't admit it.

Always a coincidence. Yeah, Chuck, I don't want to have to study all night and learn about Nate. Amen to either, but I'm gonna. I don't fucking want to. The player who went at 21, by the way, Kareem Lopez, is someone that was kind of mocked around the 13 spot.

So he didn't go till 21. I can't keep up with who actually owns these picks. It says it's Detroit, but I don't think it's Detroit. Yeah, if it's not the Bucks, I don't give a shit. Um But We'll see.

Our new favorite Bucks reporter, Gary Wolfel. Doesn't like the Amen pick. See, now I'm wondering if he really does have Haslam as a source because I think we're like, okay, Gary's back. What's the new introduction into the Bucks universe? And it's Haslam.

But Gary, if he's in the pocket of Jimmy Haslam, would not be dissing the Nate Ament pick. He says, but Gary's conflicted. Because let's say he loves Haslam, which I don't know. He hates John Horst.

So, how do you compliment Haslam without criticizing Horst? It's a dilemma.

Okay, read the tweet. This is the problem I have. I did another hit today and. The thing about these hits sometimes I do. Let me tell you about this.

Oh boy. Then read the Gary tweet. The thing about these hits. is Giannis Adeta Cumpo was traded from the Bucs. Craig Council.

leaves the Brewers for the Cubs. Or the Bucs won the NBA Finals. Whenever I do a hit. Outside of the borders. They have me on to talk bucks.

They have me on the talk brewers. They always have to get a Packer question in. They always like. All right, I covered the news and now let's. We got Packer fans here in Y Obing.

I gotta, you know, if I could ask you about.

So why I bring this up is If Gary loves Haslam. As we're just insinuating recklessly, reckless speculation. And if Gary hates Horst.

Someone asked me today the over-under of Packers wins. I go, I don't know. I love Jordan Love. I think he's so good. I think he can win a Super Bowl.

I hate Matt LaFleur. I think he's so bad. I don't think they're going to make the playoffs.

So Gary's tweet. was uh Why the Bucs passed on is it Hannes Steinbach?

Okay.

It's like Nate Ament is nothing short of puzzling to me. I saw that, yeah. Steinbach went to Charlotte with the 14th pick, led the nation in rebounds. Averaging 18 points. Amendment, on the other hand, was erratic and shot a dismal thirty-nine percent from the field.

Another baffling draft by Horst and Cook. I didn't see the end. Maybe I didn't click see more on that Gary tweet. That's another. Uh then With their second first-round pick, the Bucs selected Nate Amen from Tennessee.

Hardly shocking FYI, one of the Bucks' majority owners, Jimmy Haslam, is a Tennessee grad and huge volunteers backer. I'm telling you, there's a lot of conflicting emotions and source building happening. But Gary, I don't know why do we assume it's Haslam. Because he's the only new person in the franchise that Oh, yeah, I guess that's a Haslam Lackey. That's possible.

Because Alex Lazarie once denied coming on my show because we're the station that employs Gary Wolfel for hits. Oh, I do remember that. And I was like. it ain't that big of a deal was that before or after rachel nichols burned chuck freeman Do you remember this? I don't remember the exact something.

Yeah, kinda. On Twitter? Oh, it was a Twitter thing, but then we talked about it. Didn't Lazri bring it up, though? Like didn't Lazarus say something like It might have been all on Twitter.

Now I might be conflating what was on the air, what was off the air. But he definitely said, yes, I promise you that Alex Lazarus, or what was the kid's name? Was that Alex? Alex, right? He was a kid.

He ran for senator, the kid. He did. Um, he was the one who threw the Rachel Nichols dunking, because you guys say, Rachel Nichols is dunking on you. Like, what are you talking about, Player? I dunked on her.

Great, great memories. I don't know why.

Okay, so yes.

I don't think so. Unless it's like so dirt cheap that you can't say no. And by the way, that would be... Again, we have to, I have to remind myself that they have no incentive to lose. But Um No, I would rather see...

development of younger players. Yeah, just because unless Unless it's like Kuzma. And you know, Turner for Ja and Something. I don't know. Then sign me up.

So here's a question too. Does the NASA? I mean, everyone's joking about it. But does the NASIS And Alex go to the heat. Um Uh Because if they don't That's gonna piss me off.

We don't need to protect. We had to give Giannis all these things.

Well, we didn't have to. We chose to. We were trying to keep. You know, keep going back to like the marriage analogy. We were trying to keep him from looking elsewhere.

Um No, but I I don't if you want to know what type of Decision maker Pat Riley is, and/or Eric Spolster, are. A lot of that will be revealed in whether or not the NASA's and/or Alex. Are on the heat. Like, are they just gonna be like, fuck it, we'll we'll do it, who cares? I see, but like the, and this is this is a very nuanced point, but it's something I was thinking about.

Is I agreed with you. When you have said throughout the years, Like, who cares who the 15th player is? Right? That's been a Bart take. Like, are you NBA fan or Bucks fan?

Do you really fucking care that Thanas is the 15th man? And I traditionally agreed with you. I disagree with that now. And the reason is because the NBA has become so deep. That the 400th best player is really good.

Like, there are Ryan Rollins across the league of guys who come out of nowhere. I mean, the Bucs had three this past year. Like, Cormac Ryan is like, is he gonna make a starting lineup one day? Probably not, but he's a legit NBA player.

So I think as the depth pool of the NBA has gotten better, that 14th and 15th spot that are being taken up by Anna de Coombrose. Could go to other players across the league to keep a deeper bench.

So, um, I will be very curious if Giannis gets to. Heat culture his way around the way that he did in Milwaukee. I don't think he will. I think the out of the Kumbaros have played their last NBA basketball. But Thanassis is a free agent.

Alex is a restricted free agent. I did see today, and I clicked on it to make sure it wasn't like a funny parody account.

Someone legitimately.

Source tweeted. That Alex will like have his team option declined. Changing your With with a s like with I I don't know how you say with a straight face when it's a tweet, but like According to sources, Alex's contract will, he will be, his team option will be declined. No, really? I can't even imagine.

So they all go to this mural today. To pay respects, which was Don't even say to pay respects. I mean, I get what you're saying, but like that really sounds like a different discussion. But that's what people were doing. Yeah, I guess that's okay.

I guess you're right. They yeah. They were. Why didn't Why did we go to the mural? Why didn't we go to Fiserve?

What do you mean? Why did people go to To the mirror nobody Nobody even knows where it is. You just drive around until you see it. You don't know where it is. Why weren't people laying Culver's Scoopy tokens outside of Adeta Coompros?

Honest question. And I know that you had your. How did your um Spirit Halloween tweet go. Not as well as you wanted? Not as well as I wanted.

I also heard it got jacked by Bucks Reddit and it did very good there. Oh.

And Ben said that they mentioned it on ESP in Milwaukee. And of course. Do they credit and credit where it came from or who did it? But legitimate question. I also heard I'm not banned.

But there is a strong preference not to include me on the air. That was the worst. Let's just be nice. to ESPN Milwaukee. I think that One day the Bart Winkler show should clearly be airing there or somewhere else.

Um But Legitimate question. I'll say what Cody Rhodes says. Easy to find, hard to beat. There you go. Over under That the season starts in October, over under October 20 something.

That the Anadakumbo store is still physically there with merchandise inside. Over under October 28th. October 28th. Whatever the NBA season will probably tip off around then. Oh, I thought you meant 2028.

No, no, no, like on the definitely closing. It's not staying open. No, no, so I want to know, like, on the NBA tip-off, Bucks opening night, is there still an Anna Da Coombrose storefront?

Well, don't the Bucs own the trade? Don't they own that? I don't know the mechanics of that. Because Why the fuck does he have that store? Again, he said, where was the interview?

He said this recently, like that they were, was it one of his overseas interviews? But where he said, oh, yeah, like, you know, the buck said that they're going to open this restaurant for me, too, if I stay. And like, They were doing, I mean, you couldn't possibly. No, the thing the Bucks could have done better, and this, I shouldn't. To be fair.

Since winning the title, the Bucks have done. They've done stuff to try to keep them happy, but they've mostly done a terrible job around the edges. The dame trade. did not work out, you do that 10 times out of 10. Mm-hmm.

You don't know what you just have to do that. You have to trade. For Damian Lillard at that point, that they did. It didn't work out. It sucked.

It's been a really big detriment, but you had to do it. But they've done a lot of bad drafting, a lot of bad fringe roster stuff. Trading Middleton. For Kuzma. like was probably the last straw.

For Giannis. Um But I don't know. They did everything up to and including opening an Ana Kumbro store right there. And apparently, Giannis talked about the restaurant that I just mentioned that could have been in the offing, in the offering, had they had Giannis stayed. They did everything they could.

But okay, honest question. I want you to answer. I'm going to put you on the spot. That store exists. On the opening tip of the NBA this season.

Yeah.

No.

Okay.

Absolutely not. I think is what you're doing. And it's going to be an open, it's not going to be filled. It's just going to be a, they'll take it down. They won't tell anyone.

The thing about that store is It's not even just like Giannis merch. It's a deta cumprospecific merch. Yeah.

So it's like if I Cause the bucks you can buy Giannis merch.

So imagine, and this is what I'll do. But imagine if in Fiserve you could buy all the Into the Winklerverse merchandise you ever laid your eyes on. And then across the street, there was a specialty store. For all Tim Shea things, oh well.

Now you're now you've got me. Adeta Kumbros should be on a rack. in the pro shop maximum. And then I still don't understand. And these are not gummies like Happy Place Hemp gummies.

I still don't understand what the fuck these are. You can get a three-pack of Greek freak gummies for $13. I didn't know this existed. I know Shaq. Shaq has like, what even are these?

Have you ever come across someone that's like, You fucking have those free gummies today, bro? Oh, there could be a fire sale. Oh, they're having a fire! Sale. Like They should discount everything 80%.

But they won't. They won't. Whose decision is that? Whoever, dude, I don't know where I saw that new Giannis commercial, but I was fucking hot today. I think it literally came out today.

Yeah, what the fuck?

Okay.

I mean, I'm all for people getting their money, but We talked about this maybe cone. Like, Giannis is not Giannis anymore. Giannis is Giannis Incorporated. Oh, good. Whoever that was, good take.

And once that happened. This was inevitable. Interesting. Yeah, once that happened, this was it. Because he's clearly like, I'm still telling you, when I saw him at the Super Bowl.

We didn't know he was going to be at the Super Bowl. He just showed up at the fucking Super Bowl. Oh, hold on. Trade. Box?

No, but Knicks, Lakers. Shams. New York is trading number 24 to the Lakers for number 25. I'm sorry, you don't need to pay an actual human being to report some of this fucking shit. No, I mean, someone's job tonight.

Choms was to receive a Intel was to receive Intel that said Bro. Check this out. We're going to trade up, or depending how the source is, trade back one pick. Can you post that shit? And he's like.

Yeah.

And then ESPN was like, could you talk about it on TV fluently? And Shams is like, No. It's my understanding that the Bucks have agreed to trade for Giannis. They're trading Giannis Adede Kumpo to the Miami Heat.

Now they will in. Return, get Tyler Hero.

Okay.

What's Ware's first name? K khaliel? Khalil? Khalil where? And Jack Akunis.

And I mean How could Yeah.

Sorry, sorry. Came out louder than I wanted. What'd you say? Junior He can't speak. He's really bad and I just hate him.

And you know, there's some things that I get. Where I just think you overblow things sometimes, and I'm like, dude, like, it's not that big of a deal. But The fact that we get to agree on Lafleur and Shams is really comforting. And again, not on them as like. Again, we have differences with LaFleur.

Mine is just like, I don't trust him as a, I just don't trust him. It's not about even him as a football coach. But the fact that we both. See Shams and are like, oh, wow, like, fuck that guy is really comforting. And, like, It is, I literally watched today and I turned it off after three seconds.

So, admittedly, I turned it off. But this happened. This is a real thing that happened. Pat McAfee. Yeah, I saw that.

a standing ovation today on the show. For getting it for like Hmm. Getting it right. I like what Malika's doing with her hair, by the way. That straight look looks good on her.

Who what? Nothing. I don't know what you said, but I'm assuming it was really good shit. Um Hey, well. Oh, this okay, this is actually pretty good.

Yeah.

I don't have a McAfee. You should have a McAfee by now. I don't have one. Let me try every impromptu one. I gotta.

They gotta really get it. You still got me? You still got me? Gotcha. Wait.

Whatever. Hey, we gotta give it up for Sean's. We gotta get up for shots. He was on it. He knew the whole time, people were doubting him.

People were doubting him. He knew the whole time. Shelms was on it. Give it up for Shams. I'm men and Shams.

We're happy to have them on this program. Give it up for Shams. People still yell so they get traded. He got it. You got it good.

That's it. Stay away, stay first off, stay there, stay there, stay there, stay there. First off, for having not having a McAfee, that was very good. That was my first time. Do you like this look?

Secondly, you have a request to do Bart Kreischer from this angle. Oh god. Hold on. There's a This is our longest live ever, so. This is what happens.

Did you see what I said about my body earlier today? I did. It was in the midst of like completely other disconnected tweets that had nothing to do with that. I don't know why that. Found its way in there.

It looks like my Lego, I have two different Lego heads. Yeah.

I've never thought that about you. Ha ha ha ha ha. One time I got so fucking ripped drunk. It was fucking past man. We were on this boat.

We were just fucking crushing it. I couldn't believe it. We almost died. Any other requests? To be clear, I I knew you weren't reading this.

The request was for you not to do a Bart Kreischer, but I took that opportunity to. Pretend that it was a request. I think we're all better off for it. Any other requests? This is a nice angle, huh?

First off. The McAfee thing? You can make some Elon bucks with that. No, I won't do that. This sounds great!

I need to fill this in. This is the only thing I err usually. Right. But it was, that was, I mean, that was good. And I'm not saying that as a friend.

I'm saying, like, if I would have seen some random person do that, I would have said. That person got a clap like a seal. Give up your shops give it up give up jobs. Give up the jobs. Especially because My whole impression is just clapping, Paul.

But there's a cadence. You had the cadence of the, give it a shot. Like, there was the cadence that I appreciated. Um It seemed like something you had done before, and the fact that you hadn't means that it can only get better.

Okay.

Yeah.

Also, that is worth. I don't know if you know this. That is worth $60 million per year. Yeah.

That performance, that Whatever you want to call what it is that that is. is worth $60 million per year. Which is nothing compared to Does Stephen A want a hundred million? Is that something I saw? You wanna see my Herb Cole impression?

You have a herb coal impression? Oh, I actually do have one more request before we end. Oh, Bart, don't do that.

Okay, I disapprove of that. Can you give us. I couldn't think of who to do it for. That was the meanest one you could have said. Can you give us?

Can you give us Jim Pashke's reaction to the trade?

Okay.

Come back from commercial. Come back from commercial. Hold on, hold on. Come back from commercial. Here we go.

I'm sure everyone that's listening and watching knows your Jim Pashki, but it's one of my favorites. And so I don't know that I have it still. You'll find it. Bucks basketball. It's a good start.

Warm up, warm up. Yeah.

Where's my mouse? Let's go. Hit it. I need the most important part. Is is there a a prop element to it?

Yeah.

Mm. I don't remember there being that. Oh, you have to.

Okay.

Damn it! I can't find it. Oh, I know the exact audio you're looking for now. Yeah.

You have to have it, or it doesn't work. No, you can do without it, but it would complement it well. We are my wife, we are resolved to play. That's not it either. You almost said that the curtain.

No, I don't have it. Come on. Come on. Bucks basketball on Fox Sports, Wisconsin, here at the Bradley Center. I don't have it today.

Is it brought to you by? I don't have it. I need the music. All right.

Well, that's really disappointing. Can someone find the music? It's the Bucks and the Celtics here from Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. Yannis Adeta Kumbo has been traded. And the box will select.

Nate Amet as Jimmy Haslam is a majority donor.

Now you go. Yeah, Jim, I think this is a great pick. Wow, is this a new one? Oh, that was really keep going. That wasn't good.

I knew instantly who it was. That should tell you something. You just gotta get a stop and score. What did he always call the paint? What did he always call the paint?

The pop-up zone! The pop-up zone. If people remember the pop-up zone, oh, yeah. John, you need a bloop and a blast. That's Bill.

Bill Bill Schrader. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Blooping a blast. McLaughlin was stopping a. Score Yeah.

Yeah.

And then he said toward the end of McLaughlin's run, which was amazing, by the way. I would count. His number of pop-up zone references. No one else calls it the pop-up zone. Like I'm not 100% sure I knew exactly.

where he was referencing. I may have a general idea of where he was referencing. Mm-hmm. But the pop-up zone, it was amazing. Still a window, GM.

There's still a window, Jim. Yeah.

I think that's all I have tonight, impression-wise. Oh, it was really good. I enjoyed it thoroughly. We gotta find that what we need to do. Find the audio.

of uh Bucks basketball on Fox Sports Midwest. Brought to you by. Brought to you by Perkins. Remember when we had those around here? Mm-hmm.

Can you just do two more ad reads, please, as Jim, please? I don't care what it's for. Harley Davidson. George Repucker. Jim Pashke.

He's the nicest human being. He's so awesome. And that he would love to ever walk the earth. The only thing I know is that he would love this. I never did it for him.

Really? Mm-mm. We just got a request for you to do Piggly Wiggly. If you can do Piggly Wiggly. Books Basketball brought to you by Piggly Wiggly.

Pig a lee. Piggly wiggly. They don't even trot him out for. events anymore. They they uh try them they try to at least now all the time.

Oh man. Does Jim still live around here? Yeah, Jim's around here. He's awesome. Lisa's really nice to me too.

I should try to get her on. Yeah, why don't you? I don't have a Lisa impression. Mm-hmm. Was there a request for one?

No, there's a request in my head for one. Uh Is this fucking draft over yet? No, the 25th pick was just made. What? There's still like five more to go.

Dude, Sergio De Laria was just picked by the Knicks. Isn't her husband the coach at Vanderbilt? Cool. Lisa's? No, that's not no.

That's not. There's a lot wrong with that sentence. Doesn't matter.

Okay.

Can you read this? Can you go to the comments and just read this one last thing, please? From Jake? Yeah, please. Yeah.

I really need the music. Dan had an indent. Bucks basketball on Fox Sports, Wisconsin. It's a new era in Milwaukee. Can the Bucs turn up the heat against Yannis and Miami?

Yo basketball is brought to you by Briggs and Strutton. Blaine's Farm and Fleet. That's it. I had a good time. Why did this start?

What happened?

Well, you did a McAfee impression, which led to a Bart Kreischer, which led to. Other things. Oh yeah. The Bucks drafted two new players tonight. And traded Giannis less than 24 hours ago.

It's not even 24 hours. No, that's not. Did you hear how I found out? Uh I heard the first 20 so minutes of last night's pod.

So yes. I was down here fucking around. Without my phone or computer, it was 11 at night. If it? It was halftime of the soccer game.

I was sweeping. I came down here.

So you woke up to it. I woke up to it. I was up for the Julius Randle thing and I said, Okay. And then So, how did that happen? What happened for you?

You were just like, oh shit. And then you probably spent the next 90 minutes online? Pretty much. I mean again none of it was None of it was We've known that these were going to be some. piece of the players involved.

But I mean, again, there's anyone still watching is only here to hear you do your impressions, but it was good from a basketball perspective. And from a process perspective, that horse got. Everything. If you're going to go down this path and you had to go down this path and you had to trade the franchise player. To the fucking Miami Heat, at least you like won the optics.

I know that doesn't like win you basketball games or win you titles. But it's nice to like have that. That's not nothing. Did you want them to trade with the Celtics? Did you want Brown?

Um Maybe. Um I don't know it wasn't obvious. I it wasn't obvious. And by the way, I do think it's good context that Windhorst said yesterday or today or whenever it was. That He polled 10 NBA GMs and it was literally split five and five.

It was? Yeah.

That's interesting. Like, that's really like, if you're going to be an insider, like, that's the kind of stuff that is worth being insider about. I think somebody gave me the link, but I have to cut and paste it because. Or I have to like type it in. I can't cut and paste from comments.

Oh, was that on YouTube? No, you can cut and paste from comments. I can do it. Oh no, that was on Facebook.

Okay, hold on. I'll go to my Facebook. Yeah.

I don't know from the comments. I can do it. Oh, there's one of those on Facebook. Jesus Christ. Wink section.

Yeah.

I don't know. I can do it. Jesus Christ. Wait, step ship.

Okay.

I can't get it, whatever. Brandon says NBA on Fox Sports theme song extended. NBA on Fox Sports theme song extended? Yes. This is a great theme.

On where the Bradley Center was. And just make it be the exact Bradley Center.

Okay.

But never use it. Here's where the WWE was. Here's where Stone Cold happened. Here's where Kiss played. Here's where Brandon Jennings at 55.

Here's where Bart met Coolio. I did. I did meet Coolio. Pretty good. Oh, I just um I think that contest is over.

The Bucs asked for theme nights. Theme night ideas. I'm not doing that. The Bucks asked for theme night ideas. And I gave him a whole like one sheet about Brought to you by Happy Place Hamp, promo code Bart.

Uh That they should do a Bradley Center tribute night. Oh, I love that. But have like the bangle blimp drop Cole's cash. Oh, that's awesome. Um That's not a funny idea or like a bar telling.

That's like a genuinely wonderful idea. Yeah, I fucking submitted it to be a wonderful experience. I'm saying, like, how can you not get that submission and be like, How do we hire this guy? Jim and John on the broadcast. Oh, I.

Yes. Mm-hmm. Did you submit that too? Yeah.

These are wonderful. I worked really hard on it. Street Life can play. Yeah.

April. Yeah, that was a Raptor series. Oh, that was a playoff game. Yeah.

Wow, you got in there for a playoff game? I won or we had this thing. Uh the guy's name was Alex. And he went, it was go to a game with Bart. Who did that?

The fan. Really? To a playoff game? Yeah.

Wow, how how things have changed. I know. They used to they used to do whole promotions to send people to the Bucks playoff game with you. Yeah, we did. Yeah.

First off, there are some really great comments. Matt mentions light it up. I still in my house sing light it up. Andrew Bogot lining up line up Michael Red. Oh no, that's the new one.

No.

So who's gonna win it? The Bucks. The Bucks. No, that's a you're I'm thinking of Uh Danny Manning. And the tractor.

Sam Cassell.

So, who's going to win it? The Bucs? The Bucks? Yeah, but that's different than what you were, that's a different team than what you were singing.

Well, there were different eras. That thing lived. Like that was like for at least a decade that that was, they would just plug in. The latest Box. You know, I put another Buck song on my YouTube, and the guy was like pumped that I found it.

Oh, the Milwaukee Bucks. Oh, they can't be stopped. Oh the Milwaukee Bucks. Don't you know that they're gonna come out on top? Sit in and watch the books.

One day it was just gone. Am I going to get copyright on this? I can share. You can share with whoever wrote that fucking hit. Oh man, there's so many good things.

The bucks don't stop here. This song fucks so hard, though. But it only works because I instantly hear Pashke. It has such a special place in my brain. There was one of my friends.

I said something. I said, I don't know. Maybe he's with the brewers. I go, God, this fucks so hard. He goes.

Is that a thing people say now? I'm like, shut the fuck up. Fox Basketball on Fox Sports, Wisconsin. is brought to you by Rosenkia. Want a new car for six weeks?

Come to Rosenca.

Okay.

Why probably six weeks? Good jack. Oh, okay. Oh, I see what you did.

Okay.

Why are we still doing this? This is great.

Okay.

Bucks basketball on Fox Sports, Wisconsin. It's a good one tonight between the Bucs and the Los Angeles Clippers. Here at the Bradley Center. Bucks basketball brought to you by Team takeovers. Did you used to go to Bay Shore Mall, but now you're scared to go after five o'clock?

15 takeovers for that. Perfect. Bye. Uh Ned Dog and Merrill. I don't know.

Yeah.

Uh oh.

Someone just asked what stage of grief this is. I don't even know. All of them. Just boil. Boiled into one.

Fucks basketball is brought to you by the Nextdoor app. Are you not sure if it was gunshots or fireworks? Check out the next door app. I'm usually sleeping by now. This is fun.

I did good. You did great. Um Thanks for stopping into the Winklerverse. Wait, wait, tomorrow night. Take me out to the Paul game.

Oh, do you want that to be a read?

Okay.

I didn't even think of that. I'll get I'll send you 1999. Fox basketball on Fox Sports, Wisconsin. as but you buy take me out to the ball game. Watch Paulinick.

Give Bart Winkler. And a very stoned out of his mind, Ryan Horvach. 20 different sports questions tomorrow night. At nine o'clock. On the Wigglerverse YouTube channel.

How about eight o'clock? You want to do eight o'clock instead? Yeah.

Let's do eight instead.

Okay, I'll tell Horvey. Nine o'clock Eastern. For him. I told him 10 Eastern. Yeah, let's Let's scoot it up to 8 p.m.

Central. 9 p.m. Eastern. Yeah.

Is the draft over?

Okay.

All right.

I don't know how to. I don't know how to log off of this one. Thank you for stepping in on that. Mm. Yeah, this is the most I've felt like a Bucs fan.

Giannis was a mirage. Giannis was nice. Doesn't this seem doesn't this make more sense? Yeah.

It it I'm Not kidding. Like, as a person my age who grew up loving the dog shit bucks. Yeah.

This just feels comforting. Mm-hmm. I kinda like it. Yeah, that's why deep down I don't want the Brewers can't win a World Series, it ruins the whole fucking thing. I want the brewers to be good even though that's contradictory to like growing up.

But like the bucks in this zone is like If you're a Cubs fan, the best time to be a Cubs fan is like. to be born in 1940 because then When they win the World Series, you're 86. And you got to be a lovable loser your whole life, and then you still got to see them. But then you could just die and you didn't have like the expectations afterwards.

So I want the Brewers to win a World Series in 2067. Like I'm gonna live that long. All right, we're done. No, I'm excited to break down Nate Amon's 13-point breakout game in February. Like, I'm legitimately ready for that.

Yeah, we're bringing post-games back. Amen. This time I promise to know when Torian Prince returns from injury. That's how back I am. I'm going to know the night it happens, not three weeks later.

Joshua Jefferson. Just went 28. I don't I have no fucking idea. I'm gonna read you the last. I'm gonna read you some names real quick, and you're gonna say that they're real.

Or fake. No, I just looked at them.

Okay, shit. Would have been good otherwise. I was actually one of the little Sergio Delaria. Sir Joshua Jefferson forward. Mm-hmm.

Or mm-mm. Oh, the kid from Iowa State? He's 69240, yeah. You do know Joshua Jefferson off the top of your head.

Well, he's coming off his best year. Most people say that. When I watch the Cyclones, he's more of a plug-and-play guy, a little unselfish. I can see that.

Now, the upside's not. you know It is what it is. You're picking 28, but lower ceiling. Yeah, he'll help a team's bench for sure. Mm-hmm.

Okay, guys. Thanks for stopping into The Winkler verse. Thanks for stopping. I can't. I'm done.
