And if you want, you can also email me. The number, uh, the number. I got things going in my head. The uh, the address for uh, well, the email address is uh inf by. Got several things going on.
Info at carm.org. Info at CARM.org. Please feel free to give me a call. I'm distracted because. I'm pulling out of my trip to Jordan, which is supposed to be next week, Monday.
And uh personal reasons uh family reasons and things like that and um My wife first above stuff, and that's why. And so I'll be on, Lord Willing, next week, same as always. I just won't be going on the trip, and we have an open seat, so to speak, for that. We're going to. Talk about that.
Anyway, so that's what's going on there. And a little distracted about that because it's been something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Is I want to go see Petra. And I want to see, I've been wanting to see Petra for years. It's a good opportunity, but can't do it.
And that's okay. That's all right.
So no problemo. And like I said, if you want to give me a call, it's easy. Eight seven seven two zero seven two two seven six. And um you can Also, email me at info at carm.org, info at carm.org. And put in the subject line: radio comment, radio question.
We can get to it.
Now, it looks like we got a caller coming in, but I don't see. Oh, there it is, another one coming in too.
So we can get to that in a second. Hey, just want to remind you that we stay on the air by your support, and we. Definitely, hold on, let me get this in here. We definitely need your support. Would you please consider supporting us?
We have a new system, we have a new site, and we have new everything as far as donations go. You can go to the Carm homepage if you want, and you can go into. On the top of the page, which says donate. And it's very simple and it's easy to work. We have some of the Carm products there too.
And if you want to support us, you can. We ask $5, $10 a month. We just need 1,000 people doing that. And if we can do that, we can meet our bills. And it's not very much, but you get a lot of return for what you're supporting.
And it's easy. Just go to carm.org. And I don't know, let's say you do it this way. But it's forward slash, I used to say forward/slash donate. Let's see if that works on the new site.
No, it says page cannot be found because it's not just a donate.
So just go to the Carm site, and at the top of the page, it says there's about, store, schools, donate, forms, feedback, and menu. I love the menu. I'm going to talk about that menu a little bit.
So, you can do that for donate. We'd really appreciate that. All right, now, about that menu. I'm going to just tell you that the um The designer Of the face of Karm and the designer of the guts of Karm both. Politely recommended not having a menu.
They said don't need it, it's search engine based. And uh you know I politely said I need it. It's so I use it all the time. I use it all the time because I will go through and have I written on this or that. And I like to see a a grouping of the things I've written, which gives me ideas for stuff.
And like last night I was on talking online and you know, Church Father quotes by different topics and things like that, and so I was working on that. Anyway. That's just me.
Okay, I like it. And they said, okay, no problem.
So we got it up there. And a lot of people actually, no, I didn't say about a lot, but several people were saying that they liked it and wanted to see it. I don't know what you guys think. Maybe you guys can tell me in Rumble or in. Um Or in, let's see, the chat rooms and stuff like that.
We've got Facebook, we've got YouTube, we've got X, we've got. Rumble And actually, I'm kind of curious, just I'm kind of rambling here, what you guys think of the site. You know, if you want to just call in and just say, yeah, I just give my opinion of the new site. Seriously, I'd like to hear that. I'm just curious what people are thinking.
They like it, don't like it, what improvements and stuff. working on um Another idea. For uh more debate stuff. Spent some time talking with a programmer last night, maybe about 40 minutes or so, talking about ideas on developing a debate platform. And we got some really good ideas in there.
And so it's just a matter of whittling it down to what we can and can't do, and then see if we can raise the funding for it. Because uh I want to get more debates going, and I want to start training people on how to do debates. And now I'm not saying I'm the greatest, but I'm going to start training people on how to do debates and how to learn theology. And along those lines, I'm considering writing one or two more online schools. for that as well.
So there's a lot of stuff. There's a lot of stuff going on. And there you go. I'm just kind of letting you know. If you want to give me a call, the number is easy: 877-207-2276.
Let's get to Tom from Florida. Tom, welcome. You're on the air. Hi, Matt. Thank you.
I appreciate you taking my question.
Okay, no problem at all. Oh, Matt? Sure. As you're well aware, in Matthew 24, Jesus speaks about a future event. Yeah.
It's rather famous because one will be left, one will be taken. And then I know you're aware of many interpretations of that. And I would simply like to get your interpretation about What event is he talking about? Is it near term? Is it end times?
Please just give me your point of view. You mean when it says two men are taken, one is left, one's one's taken, that one? Yes, that that passage, yes. Yeah, it's the wicked who are taken. Undoubtedly.
It's the wicked. It's not the good. And it's not just an opinion. This is what Jesus himself teaches. And I'm just blown away that so many people don't see it.
And if you'd like, I can prove it to you from scripture.
Okay. Sure, I didn't mean to debate it, but I would love to hear your point of view on the Sure, that's no problem at all. If you go to Luke 27, I mean Luke 27, Luke 17. in Matthew 24. There are two accounts of the same thing.
And I'm going to read from Luke 17. And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man. No, this is the question, who's the they? They were eating. They were drinking.
They were marrying, they were being given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark and the flood came and. destroyed them all.
So the ones it's talking about are the wicked. Would you agree? Right. I would, yeah. Yeah, j just like in the days of Noah, it's a key there.
That's right.
Now in Matthew 24, It's verse thirty seven, for the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah, for in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark. They did not understand until the flood came and took them all away. But they is the wicked one. That's what it is. We know that.
When you go back to Luke 17, They the disciples actually answer or ask them the question, where are they taken? And he answers it. He gives the answer. Because verse 37. And answering, they said to him, Where, Lord?
And he said to them, Where the body is. There also the vultures will be gathered.
So It's not but the rapture occurs. This is not about the rapture. Because when it says in Matthew 24, The flood came and took them all away. Two men will be in the field, one is taken, one is left. It's the wicked.
It's the wicked. Right. We were defining rapture as the righteous meeting Jesus in the air. And it is. That does occur.
That's out of 1 Thessalonians 4. Chapter uh verse 16. 3 chapter 5, verse 2. That's right.
the the left behind organization's misinterpretation then of the Yeah, it's it's drastically Poorly done. And um when I first uh saw that. Uh I forgot who, what, how, where, but it was like, what? Then, as I like to say, but wait, there's more.
Okay. And you start uh In Matthew 13.
Now, check this out. I'm going to introduce some concepts.
Okay, put this together. Jesus said in verse 24, The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. You know, then we have the wheat and the chairs issue, okay? I'm sure you're familiar with that. Should we tear them both up?
And In verse 29, Jesus says, No, for while you're gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to go together until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest, I will say to the reapers, First gather up the tares. and bind them in bundles to clean them up. Then ten verses later, he interprets it. He Jesus actually interprets the parable.
Verse 37, The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world. As for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom. The tares are the sons of the evil one. And the enemy who sowed them is the devil.
And the harvest is the End of the age. I'm going to focus on that in a minute. And the reapers are angels.
So, just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth his angels, and they'll gather out of his kingdom. All stumbling blocks. and those who commit lawlessness.
So we have in the the end of the age. This is Jesus teaching one of the aspects of what's called this age and the age to come. This age and the age to come. In this age, we have marriage and troubles and trials, and in the age to come, eternal life, no marriage, things like that. There's only two ages.
At the end of this age is when the rapture occurs. But before it occurs, The wicked are taken. and are taken out of his kingdom.
Now I've got to show you something else. This is really good. If I may just quickly ask then, the chronology would be the wicked are taken in this passage, Matthew 24. Yeah. Uh Subsequently The righteous meet Jesus in the air that we referred to as the rapture.
That's a rapture, yep. Their bleed. Therefore, it's hard to conclude that when the wicked are taken, there would be tribulation time. Am I right? If the wicked are removed.
That's correct. In fact, let me throw some other stuff out at you, okay? This good and notice we're gonna have a break here in a minute. But this is really interesting. And I'm going to say something about it at the end.
but in Matthew twelve, twenty two through thirty two. It talks about Jesus casting out are demons. And the Jews said, You're doing it by the power of Buildsable. the ruler of the demons, and he relates that to Satan. And he's Jesus says He says, If I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, Then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
He was casting them out by the Spirit of God, therefore, the kingdom of God. has come upon them. Simple logic.
So the kingdom of God. is there.
Now we are presently reigning with Christ, Because we are, and I'll go to 1 Peter. This is just throws a throws a lot of people off. We are living stones. as b all being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood. That's us.
We are a chosen race, first nine a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people chosen for zone positions. possession. This is what God's called us to do.
Now we hold on. We got a break and I'll put more on the table on this. and you'll see something hopeful.
Okay, so. You're probably asking a lot more than you asked for, but hold on. Hey folks, we'll write back after these messages, please. Stay tuned. It's Matt Slick Live, taking your call at 877-207-2276.
Here's Matt Slick. All right, and welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, it is easy, 877-207. Two two seven six. Let's get back with uh Tom from Florida.
You still there? I am, yes.
Okay, let me throw a little bit of stuff out at you, some more, and so we can, you know See some stuff. Ephesians 2:6. See, we have been raised up with Christ. And we are He seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. He seated us with them.
This is the Aorist tents. In Greek. which means it's already done. We are seated with him. In the heavenlies, he's on his throne.
This means that we as Christians are there with Christ. It's called the now and the not yet. And federal headship of representation. with him. But he's reigning right now.
And when Jesus talks about uh this stuff in Matthew 13. He says he'll take the people out of his kingdom. That means his kingdom is now. And we are the priests. of his ministry.
and we are the kings and priests reigning with him, Ephesians two six. It's a completely different view than what is taught in most churches today about. We'll get out of here. Don't worry about it. Don't really be that serious about.
Taking over the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Okay. Right. Okay. I don't know if you have time for a follow-up in the same passage, Matthew twenty four. when Jesus says truly This generation will not pass.
And there is some interpretation he's referring to the You know, the attack of the temple and the city of Jerusalem, the siege of 70 AD. And the abomination of desolation. Could you just comment on that? Is do you think he's thinking he's talking about that? Or is it a future event past?
Seventy eighty. Or it's both.
Okay, so that's right. and I hold to the idea that it's both.
So, this generation, he's speaking about the beginning and the end, so to speak, of that church. time at period of grace that God's working. And uh When he says that day, no one knows, but the father alone, it's a marriage idiom. And it says the coming of Christ will be like this, and he goes into this.
Okay, and he does say that before that. He says after the tribulation of those days. Is when the elect is gathered. And he specifically says after the tribulation, the tribulation which is the worst that no one's ever seen. But anyway, so This generation, the major interpretations are that the Praetorists use this to prove that 70 AD is when Jesus came back, but it's false.
Because first, because Acts 1:9 through 11 says, Specifically, he tells us how he's going to return from the clouds. It's very specific. It's very literal. Very visible, yeah. Yeah, it is.
Yeah, and I go through it with people and I've debated uh Full praetorists before, I just camp out on that, and they get mad at me. It's it they mean it's it's spiritual. How do you know? It says, look up in the clouds. Are they looking up in the clouds?
Yeah. Is that where he was? Yeah. Did they see him go up there? Yeah.
That's how he's coming back.
So, why are you saying it's not the clouds? Oh, it's a cloud of witnesses.
So, they go to another book. Say the cloud over there means that's what's transferred over here. It's just stupid because they're trying to make it fit.
So We know that certain things did happen, and the judgment of God came upon Israel in 70s or 72 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. But it's also reminiscent of what's coming later in Second Thessalonians 2. with the arrival of the Antichrist. And so that can't happen until the apostasy comes first. The apostasy must occur before the antichrist comes.
And if they're going to say that Antiochus Epiphanes during the 60s and Nero and his other view, they had different views, was this manifestation of the Antichrist, then it means the Christian church had gone apostate within. within a generation. Which wouldn't make any sense. Right, right, right.
So.
So, what I teach, you know what eschatology is, right? The study of end times.
Well, I teach what's called. Yeah, I teach depressed gatology.
Okay. It's it's depressing. It's going to get bad. The world's going to get worse. And I don't like my position.
I don't want my position. That's what I teach, though. Yeah. Okay, that's a quote. Let it slide, I guess.
But. It's a lousy scenario. That is correct. And it's just what it is. I'm hoping the.
Post-millennialists are correct. Their position is that it's similar to what I hold. except everything's going to get better and better. And I don't see that. Yeah, I don't see that.
That's just my opinion.
So this stuff I'm teaching. Thank you very much. The stuff I teach is radically, it's contrary to what's being taught in America most churches, because what's America in most churches now is comfort theology. Comfort food. We're getting fed on Christians are getting fat on comfort food.
Yep.
Okay? Matt, I thank you. Appreciate all your time. Hope you have a great night. All right, God bless.
All right. Yeah. Alright, now let's get to Matt from Idaho. Matt, welcome. You're on the air.
Oh. Hey Matt, how are you doing, sir? Good, man. What now we've talked before, I think. Where are you what city do you live in?
I live in Boise, uh But the way that I heard about you is my Yeah. reached out to you. He'd been watching your show for years. He's the one that's pointing in your direction, but Okay. Years and years ago, you came by and helped witness.
to some uh Jehovah's Witnesses that came by our house. And But yeah, um basically I am a attending a small group fellowship. And the leader of the group is actually Uh departing from being a Trinitarian and believe in the truth of Scripture and Thinking that Uh God is Uh just one one person. Let me get in there in a group. Let me get it.
Invite me to that group. Let's go at it. I'll show he's wrong.
Okay. Putin. That's basically what I was calling for is a I would love to have you over and It would just be such a blessing. you to be there. Let's set it up.
I will go there, get as many people there to watch this dialogue. We can go in. If he doesn't want to do that, I would be glad to go in and teach on the doctrine of the Trinity and why Unitarianism is false. and why it leads to incongruity and illogical problems.
Okay. Yes, sir.
Okay. I appreciate you, sir. Yeah, 'cause I live in Nampa, so it's, you know, a twenty minute drive. Not a big deal for me. I would be more than happy If you do arrange it.
Yeah. And we'll do it.
Okay. And uh I'll make sure to buy you lunch or dinner for it as well. Ah, that's no big deal, I don't need anything. I just get my blessing. The reward I get is just being able to teach God's word and.
and expose error. That's my blessing, you know. And uh then we just sit and talk. That's what I like. Yeah.
Don't worry, don't worry about it. I don't need anything. Maybe. Maybe chocolate chip cookies. I've been successfully bribed with chocolate chip cookies before.
and a cup of coffee, but that's it. But seriously. I really appreciate it.
Alright, yeah. You just contact me. Info at Carm.org, okay? Info at Carm. You just say this, you know, so and so, and This issue of the Trinity, it's critical.
It's critical because he's teaching anti-Christian theology now.
Okay. All right. Yes, sir.
All right, thank you. All right, man. God bless.
Okay. Watch you later.
Alright, hey folks, we'll be right back after. These messages, give me a call if you want. 8772 072. 276. We'll be right back.
It's Matt Slick Live, taking a call at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. Everyone, welcome back to the show. If you want to give me a call, we have two open lines: 8772-07-2276. Let's get to Adrian from North Carolina.
Adrian, welcome. You're on the air. Yes. Yes, sir.
Good afternoon, and thank you for taking my call, and thank you for all that you do. And I'm calling to ask. And am I in sin? Made cry. And I am seeing going to a Non-solid.
non-global Methodist church. They did not go global. I don't know what global what we're asking there, the global Yeah, yeah. It has to do with the homosexual. I think that's the only thing that we have and marriage, gay marriage in church and Okay.
Okay. Um okay, so Was there a split in the Methodist denominations recently?
Well, it's been a little over a year, a year and a half.
Alright. And so they split and part of it was over this LGBTQ stuff, right? Yes. And many, many, many. Left, meaning.
And so left because they opposed the the LGBT or affirmed it? Yes. No opposed. Or the opposed?
Okay. opposed the LGBT Q plus stuff. people need to Not support any church or denomination that approves. of LGBTQ. Christians are to not approve of it.
Doesn't mean we hate the people. but we are not to lend support to their great sin. And any church that would approve of it is an apostate church. It's a false church. Right.
Okay. So when you say you are you insane. What do you mean? Are you staying?
Well are you staying with the church that I'm sorry, go ahead. No, you go ahead. For me continuing to go to this church, and I do not believe. Which one? The one that's o that's opposing or the one supporting LGBT?
Well, the one I don't know how to answer that question.
Okay. Oh, I I'm sorry, but that oh gosh. Go ahead. Tom Well, let me help you out. One Okay.
You should not attend a church or denomination that supports LGBTQ. Our denomination.
Well, that's that's the answer. Oh god, Floyd.
So Now, but but there's there's a couple of butts about this, all right?
So, you could still attend there if your goal is to. be a light and to witness. and to tell people and help them through and find this out. A tithe to that group, that denomination, because then you're financially supporting. Uh that sin.
Okay. And so You need to, if you're to stay there. And you're staying there for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ as a witness. That's different. and your tithes should go elsewhere.
You can't support financially. That which is a an abomination to God.
Okay. Okay, and And there's just In a group, whoever it is that came through the church and looked at it and Well, you could rent this and do that, but if you don't get more attendance, this church will close in five years.
Well, Atlantic close. Who cares? Who cares? That's not the issue. The issue is, is the church preaching the truth?
People say, look, you know, you don't do this and do that, your church is going to close. That's not the concern. The concern is, are we being faithful to God's word and preaching his word and teaching the truth of who Christ is and the call to repentance of all people and to welcome all into the church? but to call all who were there to repent from their varying sins. That's the concern.
Not this stupidity of, well, if you don't do this and this, your church is going to close. You got to get the numbers up. Who cares about that? Let the church close if it's not preaching God's Word.
Okay. Let God's word draw the people. Jesus says, My sheep will hear my voice. And they'll follow me. If a true pastor It has to be male, not female.
There's not allowed to be female pastors and elders. He's supposed to be preaching the truth. Let the truth prune the local church. And he's got a Breach that truth, even if people are leaving because it doesn't like what he's saying.
So what? If he has to get a job, to make ends meet while the church is recovering. Then so be it. We need to put Christ first.
Okay. Yeah, you know. The gay issue is not top. about. I mean, he does nothing comes up.
It needs to be addressed. And when I first started going there, I even asked him.
Well, do you preach any hellfire and brimstone? He says, No, that's not my style. Oh, it's not his style to preach the Bible. Because Jesus talked about it. Jesus talked about it.
So if he's preaching the truth, he'll preach Jesus Christ. He'll preach. When he talks about hell, we talk about hell. talked about heaven. We talked about heaven.
But it sounds to me like the pastor is um is a bad pastor who's not doing his proper job. I was selectomy. Oh god, he's a lovely person.
So Lovely people uh let lead other people to hell.
So, the pastor's job is to equip the Christians for the work of ministry. The pastor is an elder. and he's supposed to be able to refute doctrine and and um Teach sound doctrine, refute bad stuff, and teach sound doctrine. If he refuses to teach on the issue of damnation and against homosexuality, he's not a good pastor. It doesn't mean that's all he focuses on, but if he avoids those, then he's avoiding what God has revealed for the body of Christ.
He's a bad pastor, he needs to be kicked out. You know Even in one of his sermons he even mentioned he says that I am And I am an introvert. Meaning him. I thought, well, that can imagine being an introvert.
Well, you can, as long as you're preaching and teaching properly. I I'm an ambivert, uh neither extrovert or intro introvert, and I was a pastor. You know, different kinds of pastors do different kinds of things. But the the fact is, he is supposed to be um He's supposed to be preaching the the word of God.
Now, you need to get the men in the church to focus on this. He's got to preach the word of God. If I was there, I'd tell him to his face: are you preaching this and this and that? No, you're not going to.
Well, you're not qualified to be a pastor. Yeah. People don't like when I talk so directly because he's supposed to be able to refute error and teach sound doctrine. If he refuses, To refute the idea of the sinfulness, to deal with the issue of sinfulness of homosexuality. Or if he refuses to deal with the issue of hellfire and the condemnation, the righteous judgment of God, if he refuses to talk about those, then he is purposely rebelling against the word of God and what God has revealed.
Okay. Now, if he just doesn't do it very often, that's okay. If he eventually gets to it, that's okay. We're talking about someone who avoids these things and won't preach on them. That's bad.
Alright, well even our music is uh gay in a relationship with another male and That is sinful. He should absolutely.
Okay, let me tell you: if the pastor knows about this, the pastor is disqualified. He's not a pastor. He's disqualified from being a pastor. The worship person needs to be kicked out. There's no Possible reason to have an LGBTQ person leading worship of God.
And a pastor who knows this doesn't deal with it.
So, what it sounds like to me is you're in an apostate church with false teachers. And it's in great sin. Absolutely. And I will be glad to talk to him on the phone. Is it United Methodist Church?
Is it a United Methodist Church? Yeah, United Methodist Church, yes, that's that's it, is the way that we're gonna be able to do it that explains it because United Methodist Church is basically as liberal and and and I'm not even saved, but I've said this before. I don't even know if half the pastors are even saved. Because they just preach Oh. Pamby Pamby theology.
Uh well look, think about it. A real man of God stands on the word of God. But if he is sitting there, he won't talk about those things that the Bible talks about if he refuses to. And if he's allowing a. A gay person to lead worship to the holy God, then the pastor is disqualified, and the men of the church, the men and the women, but the many to stand up and say, You're out.
And we're not going to permit this. Real men would do it. Get me on the phone with them. Get me on the phone. Let's fire these people up to do what God requires of them, to act like men.
And not Mamby, Pamby, little whining diaperinians. I don't want to risk prisoning, you know? Right, right, right, right. Yeah. The United Methodist Church is basically apostate.
It's it's apostate denomination, okay? What a word that makes mess. I hear that word. It's like I spent that work. He's apostate.
McPatrick's apostate if He's aware that this worship leader is And lives with a guy in a sinful relationship, and he allows it, then that pastor is apostate. He's disqualified automatically. Yeah. Okay. you know In my heart, I really knew the answer.
But I'm the kind of person, I know it in my head, but I need to hear it. And I thank you very much. You're welcome, Bernie. If it need my help. You call me again, okay?
Thank you, sir. God bless.
I will.
Okay, go for it.
Alright, pray for Adrian. That that's the name of the have there in the tank pray for her in a situation. It's apostasy. We gotta fight against it. In Jesus' name, we'll be right back.
It's Matt Slick Live, taking your calls at 877-207-2276. Here's Matt Slick. All right, everyone, welcome back to the show. Let me just give a follow-up comment about the previous caller. And my heart goes out to this woman.
In other words, there's so much more to talk about. But Christian Men. need to stand up. And it doesn't mean being mean. but it means me being godly.
And standing up, And standing for righteousness and truth. even if it costs. Don't let your wives stop you. or hinder you. Don't let your...
congregation uh Contemporaries. stop you or hinder you. You will make mistakes. without a doubt, you'll make mistakes. But that's the nature of leadership.
were not perfect. And if you're afraid to lead because you don't want to make any mistakes, Well, then you're not doing what God has called you to do. to be a leader. If you're a husband, you're automatically the head of your family, whether you like it or not. And certain responsibilities go with that title and with that position.
If you're a Christian man, You have responsibilities to your wife, you have responsibilities to the church. Your responsibilities before the Lord Jesus Christ. There needs to be the reinstitution of masculinity in the Christian Church. not a barbaric um dominating kind of thing. But the emulation of the person of Jesus.
The real man, the true man. who loved But He exposed error. He's the one who forgave, yet He condemned the unrighteous. He's the one. who laid his life down.
and he rose from the dead so that we could be empowered to follow in his footsteps. In my opinion, masculinity is under a great attack. in this world. But it's not an excuse for men to sit on their hands. And to be to be made afraid.
to take risks. I love to hear my friends. failures. My man friend failures. not because I mock them, but because I laugh and cry with them.
Because that's what we men do. We take risks, and with those risks are successes. And failures. Personally, I believe all failures are also successes because we learn from them. And we need to be encouraged.
to be those kind of men and a wived would encourage us that as well. And we need to have that confidence before Christ. Don't look to others. For your masculinity or your guidance or your boundaries, look to the Lord Jesus Christ. Study him.
And act like him. And so, in churches, stand up for righteousness, in your family, stand up for righteousness. Learn how to do it lovingly. Learn how to do it with wisdom, with power. patience and kindness.
Let those things flow out of the firmness. of your masculine truth. that is based in the person and work of Jesus Christ, who died on that cross and rose from the dead. That's what we're called to do. Let's get to Jermaine from California.
Jermaine, welcome, you're on the air. Hey, Matt Um Yeah, I wanted to ask you about um Elisha. And Elijah and that That uh chapter in Second Kings that that's always kind of stuck with me since I was young, but Is that an example of what's actually going on in our world concurrently, like all the time? Is there just like spiritual? Shadows or or you know, just I don't want to say dimensional, I don't even know how you frame it, but It just seems like our world is almost interdimensional in a sense.
Do you have to say about it? Sure. You know, Ephesians 6.12 says our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And so in Second Kings Six, Elijah. that his his uh servant would have his eyes opened.
so that he would see what was going on. We are always in a spiritual battle. I always think, go to Amazon and order spirit glasses so you can now see the spiritual realm when you get them and you open them up, you put them on. You know, those glasses can make people who only see gray, they can see colors. I want some that can make me see where the demons and the angels are.
Can you imagine if we had something like that? what we would see. You know? And I wrote in my novel, I wrote my novel, The Influence, where the main character, Mark. is given that ability for a short period of time.
Where he's in his garden, and Soter, the angel, asks permission to do something to him. You know, put his hands over so he can see, and he goes, Yes. And he does. He touches his chest and his eyes, and then when he puts his hand away, he can see this angel who's Soter, he's taking the form of a man talking to him, can see him in his angelic glory. And he looks into the sky and he sees.
The angels moving. And it's just an illustration, but the point is that there's a lot going on. And we need to be aware of this. We need to have that kind of mindset. that uh It's not just what we touch.
not just what we see with our physical eyes. but we're fighting in a spiritual battle. The spiritual battle is immense. And as the previous caller, that woman, bless her heart, who is dealing with the spiritual battling apostasy in her church, It's a spiritual thing. This is the kind of thing that we have to be aware of, particularly as men.
I believe I'm. digressing a little bit, I believe men are the ones responsible. more than women. Because when Adam and Eve were in the garden, and they both sinned, the preincarnate Christ came to the man and said, Where are you? And out of that fact, My opinion is that men are more spiritually responsible than their wives, and therefore they're to act even more responsibly.
in a loving, godly, Christlike way. better to do that. And um And this means then that we have to recognize there's a spiritual battle going on. For our churches, for this country, for our families, for our wives, our children. And that sometimes we're going to win those battles, and sometimes we're going to lose.
Yeah. And Our job is to fight all the time. Because our eyes are to be on Christ, and we're to act like men. Men. In fact, where is that first?
It says in First Corinthians sixteen, thirteen Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith and Act like men. Be strong. That's 1 Corinthians 16, 13. We're commanded.
course. for the males, were commanded to be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, and be strong. That's what we're commanded to be. That's what we should be doing as men. Anyway, old preachy.
uh kind of turning what you said into something else what you asked a little bit okay Thank you there. I lose ya? Germaine? Amy did. I don't know, give him a few more seconds, and if not, we'll put him on hold and he can stay on or hang up.
I don't hear anything.
So let's put him on hold. Let's get to Patrick from North Carolina. Patrick, welcome. You're on the air. Hey, Matt.
Okay. Um Would it be fair to say now that the Methodist Church is on the same list as Catholics. Because they're apostate. Yeah, yeah, they're pasta, yeah. Uh-huh.
Well all of that United Methodist Church. They're they're uh Apostate. I would say that official uh the official positions of the United Methodist Church on the liberal side are antichrist. And I would not trust that denomination. That's not saying there aren't true Christians in there.
but officially uh it's an apostate religion. denominations. Yeah, but when Jesus said Uh the hand is not a eye and You know, when he talks about the body parts, Just because the hand is not an eye, that doesn't mean it's a brain. part of the body. And I think that's why Jesus, even Catholics I believe are Christians.
Not at all. Not as they believe in their theology. You take an authority, I don't think you have. No, I have that right. 1 Corinthians 2.15 says, a spiritual man can make spiritual judgments.
And as Jesus judged by the word, and Paul did, and Peter did by the word of God, I'm doing the same thing. The Catholic Church adds works to salvation, and the Bible clearly refutes it.
So I'm just saying what the Bible says. I'm exceedingly confident in this. It's not arrogance, it's just what the Word of God says. And so the Catholic Church is apostate, along with the Eastern Orthodox Church. They both teach false gospel, false priesthood, false they both teach a false gospel, have a false priesthood and teach uh and promote idolatry.
Okay, what? Plump. Do I have time for a question? You just did. You just asked the question.
Go ahead and ask another. I know that My question is, in the Lord's Prayer, When Jesus said, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be his name. Why didn't it say names? And is the Father God, Almighty God?
Okay, want to say names? Because it's the in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I was going to tell you, the word in the phrase in the name of means by the authority of. and Jesus is made under the law, Galatians 4.4, For a little while lower than the angels, Hebrews 2:9, and therefore he would have to pray to someone as a man, and he prayed to the Father. And so the Father here in this context is God Almighty as it relates to Jesus being under the law.
Okay. Okay, so the Lord, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. The name is God then, or the Father.
Well, then it's his name is not father. Halloween, your name in the Jewish idiom. Means all that he is and the titles and everything and the glory due to him.
Well, that's my question. When the Lord's Prayer, is he referring to the Father or the Almighty God?
Well, he says right there Father. Troy's addressing the father specifically. Um let's go. John 3.16. God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son.
Was that the Father or God that gave His only begotten Son? contextually it would be the father.
Okay. It's a no, I think you got that wrong. I think I just proved that Jesus is not God by using John 3, 16 in the Lord's Prayer. Yeah, the evergreens.
Well, as usual, Patrick, you did not. And if you had studied John, you would see that after verse fourteen. John 1:14, that after the incarnation, the reference to God in relationship to Christ is the Father. I've done a complete study on this.
Okay. So John 1.14 the word became flesh. Yes. After that, then from then on, the word God is the reference of the Father.
Okay. Right, because Jesus is a human being born of a woman, not God, for 33 years on earth.
Well, he's the Son of God. What does that term mean, Son of God? Right, the ton of God is not God because At the baptism of Jesus, God said to Jesus, You are my son. How could Jesus be God and say, You are my son? Because the term you're my son means he's a second person of the Trinity who'd become flesh.
As God says in Zechariah 12:10, they will hold on. Hold on, hold on, we're done, we're done. We're almost out of time, 30 seconds, and he's just going to start interrupting. We've had many conversations. He's a heretic.
And uh because God Jesus is God in flesh, according to John 1.1. In verse 14, John 8:58 with Exodus 3, 14 and 15, Hebrews 1.8, and I can go on and on and on. He's clearly the God, and he receives worship many places in the Bible, etc. But we're ran out of time and he was just being coming interrupted. And we're out of time.
So may the Lord bless you. And, folks, just want to let you know that we stay on the air by your support. Please consider supporting us. Just go to carm.org and the top of the page, you'll see the word donate. And just click on that.
