It is the J.R. Sport Brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Happy Monday night to you. I'm coming to you live from New York City. I'm being joined by super producer and host Dave Shepherd. And more importantly, I'm being joined by you.

Yeah, you listening all over North America. We got a busy night, OK? First of all, it took a while. Aaron Rodgers is finally a New York jet. He's been traded.

It took forever. Finally, Giannis Atteracumpo is back. And damn, the Miami Heat are in the process of taking a 3-1 series lead against Milwaukee. This is kind of wild right now.

Miami leads 113 to 109. Forty seven seconds left here on the clock. Jimmy Butler is at the free throw line.

He has completely lost his mind. Fifty two points. Fifty two points for Jimmy Butler. Fifty three points for Jimmy Butler. Giannis Atteracumpo coming back from that back injury.

Not not working out the way he intended. Let's see if the Milwaukee Bucks can try to get in this. It's wow. I'm still kind of shocked. Miami's about to go up 3-1. They got no Oladipo. He blew out his knee the other day. They got no Tyler Herro. He has a broken hand. And Jimmy Butler is the Miami Heat. He is.

They need to give him a raise. We'll keep you up to date with this game as it continues on. Seconds left. And so you already know it's going to be a busy night. We've had a busy, busy weekend.

The Grizzlies are going to pick it up again against the Los Angeles Lakers. We saw what took place on Saturday night with that dirty Dylan Brooks. How dirty he is.

We're going to talk about it later on in the show. Let's see if he can bounce back from hitting people in the crotch and building houses with all the bricks that he took. We're going to get into Aaron Rodgers next hour. We saw Javonte Tank Davis. He went out there and he beat Ryan Garcia. De'Aaron Fox. We had a crazy game between the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors. And now De'Aaron Fox has a broken finger.

And so we got a lot to do. You know how to reach me here. CBS Sports Radio 855-2124 CBS.

That's 855-2124 CBS. You can find me online everywhere. That is at JR Sport Brief.

That's at JR Sport Brief everywhere on social media. My main man Shep. Shep, how you doing?

This beautiful, wonderful, stupendous Monday. It's good to see you. You're a real person. It's nice to be reminded of that every now and then.

There you go. You know, JR, I was thinking the same thing, man. It is great to have you here in the flesh. As most people know, you do your show for the most part for Atlanta.

Obviously, when you do media for the movement tour, it's throughout the country. So to have you in New York, that's a treat for myself and everyone here. JR, you got a lot to talk about tonight, man. I got a lot to get into.

So let me ask you this before I do anything. Is there anything it's been when is the last time I sat here in the studio? It wasn't the summertime. It might have been at least a few months ago. A few months. Yeah. Is it?

Is it for you? Do you like this studio as much as any studio that you've been a part of? I mean, is this like a different feel for you just being in this oversized studio? Because this is pretty big for radio right here. This this studio?

Yeah, because it's meant for TV. Yeah, I don't care. Yeah, it's just just a room.

Yeah, it is. It's a room. I'm here. You're here. Marco Belletti is here. Zach is. He was here. I don't know if he's still here. Ryan Hickey is here.

You got a quarterback behind you that doesn't. Carlos is here. What's behind me in the studio? What is this?

What is that? For whatever reason, Nick Foles is behind you, even though like he hasn't been good in seven years. So go figure. I think that's Wentz. He's a real loser.

He's a real loser. But anyway, yes, it's absolutely good to be here as I continue watching. Miami's going to hold on here. Miami's going to hold on to this game. Jimmy Butler put the team on his back and he has just carried them on into God knows where in the Miami Heat. They're going to they're going to keep things rolling.

And so as Shep just said, yes, we have a lot of things to discuss tonight. We're going to get into Aaron Rodgers. I know there's a lot of hype around him, but it finally went down after months of waiting, after days of waiting, after Aaron Rodgers' own proclamation about moving on and wanting to be a New York Jet. Aaron Rodgers finally gets what he wants. And so Aaron Rodgers, speaking ironically of Wisconsin with these Milwaukee Bucks, Aaron Rodgers is going to be moving on. Aaron Rodgers is going to be wearing the number eight. He's going to leave number 12 in Green Bay. He's not going to take on the number 12 of of New York Jets legend. I don't.

Well, that'd be wrong. I was going to say he might be the only New York Jets legend, but they got we got quite a few shots. My main man, Curtis Martin. But the fact is, he's moving on. He's going to leave Giannis to be the only star in Wisconsin. And Giannis, it'll be interesting to see how the Milwaukee Bucks bounce back from what is looking like a three one deficit.

In just a matter of minutes, in just a matter of seconds. And it's already wild how injuries have just tore apart the NBA playoffs. Like when I saw D'Aaron Fox, you find out that the man popped his finger, it's fractured.

And then Giannis comes back from his back injury and Joel Embiid is now out into perpetuity. It's just nuts. We're going to talk. And then you got guys bumping referees. DeJounte Murray, why is everybody so angry?

Why is everybody so damn aggressive? Dylan Brooks wants to. Well, he crapped the bet against LeBron.

Talking crap against LeBron. DeJounte Murray wants to hit referees. It's just a it's a wild world.

It's so damn wild. We already got people here who want to talk and speak to us. Rob, he's calling from New Hampshire. Hey, Rob, you're CBS Sports Radio. What's up?

Hey, how you doing? Thanks for taking my call. Yeah, so I was just thinking, you know, that Rogers thing, like I knew it was going to happen. And now just like as a Patriots fan, I'm just kind of like obviously bummed out now. It's just like you got Rogers, Allen.

I mean, Rogers, Allen. And now what if what if Brady actually decided, you know, he made those comments the other day. What if Brady actually decided to go to Miami?

Like, I'm in a world of trouble with that happen. Do you think Tom Brady really wants to go to Miami? Or do you think Tom Brady is just kind of punking everybody? I never thought I mean, I love Tom Brady is I'm 35 years old. I've watched his whole career. I never ever in a million years thought he was actually going to retire after last year. Like I know Tampa Bay was terrible, but the guy was still he didn't look the greatest, but his team sucked. So I didn't think he would retire. So now he's old. You you you surprised he's not playing. He oh, man, how many people down there with Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle and that offense they have and he just stands there like a statue and just, you know, gets the ball out. You don't think they could compete?

Well, the answer is yes, but it's a whole lot more than that. You want you want Tom Brady. Just wake up tomorrow and leave his kids. You want him to do that. Explain to them again while daddy is going up that he got divorced and then he decided to retire like I never thought that would happen.

I thought once he divorced he was definitely going to keep working. Well, what do you do? You got kids? Yeah, my God is 14. Oh, God bless her, man.

But you just you leave work and come back and you tell her you're going to stay with her and then you gonna leave again. Come on it. There comes a point in time with a minute. Don't they live in Tampa though? Don't these kids don't they have a place? Isn't that where the custody is? They're in Tampa. I am not Tom Brady's lawyer. The kids as far as I know they're there in Florida, but there's a difference between being gone the majority of the season of which he is outside of saying hey, I'm going to be with you on Tuesdays, you know after school is a big difference man, you know that yeah, what do you think so you think 0% no, I don't think 0% of course there's a shot.

Of course, there's a chance. I think Tom Brady is going to sit it out. Maybe something catastrophic has to occur with to a tongue of a lower for him to come back, but I don't think Tom Brady is going to return, you know, just to give to I mean, I guess as a sports fan, I guess it'd be wild right Rogers Brady and Alan all in the same division.

I have nothing to root for like Bailey Zappi. So I'm almost intrigued that Rogers went to the Jets like that's all I got to root for it seems right now. Well, the NFL is always fun. There's always something different popping up and going on and now we can look at Aaron Rodgers in the AFC East and and quite frankly really doesn't even matter who else is in the division with him.

It's going to be one wild ass story. Hey Rob. Thank you for calling from New Hampshire, man. Appreciate it. Thank you. I listen to you every night. Thank you brother.

Thank you. Yeah miss that would be crazy in the AFC East. Aaron Rodgers Josh Allen already running around telling everyone last week that it's obvious. He needs to change his approach and how he plays if he wants to last in the NFL to a tongue of Aloha admitted to everybody last week. He considered retirement man is barely. Well, let's not barely but he was just legal to drink a beer a little a couple of years ago and now he's ready to retire turn 25 last month.

Yeah, he's barely barely legal a drink to a tongue of Aloha ready to boogie. You got the New York Jets New England Patriots. They got Mac Jones.

How about that? New England Patriots might be the oh the weak link here and it is done folks. It is official the Miami Heat has taken have taken a 3-1 series lead over the Milwaukee Bucks the final score down in Miami. 119 so 114 Jimmy Butler finishing tonight with 56 points who needs Tolly hero. It's not like they got anything out of a chef. What's the what's the guy's name from Indiana broke his he breaks his leg every year Victor Le Depot.

They think they didn't get nothing to see he's been out for so long. I can't remember his name. Well, we all think of him like from the magic and the Thunder and the Pacers when he was actually right. He's been on more teams than Tyler hero. Well, that's what happens when your knees. I mean you run to the basket your knee says no you got to think about quitting. This man got no help tonight Bam Adebayo 15 points. Caleb Martin came through at 12 Gabe Vincent had 10. Duncan Robinson hit three threes and that's it. Jimmy Butler had more than half of well, yeah, almost half of the team points tonight. This is ridiculous 19 of 28 three of eight nine rebounds two assists a blocked shot.

He went to the free-throw line 18 times. Jimmy Butler told you honest at that Akumbo. I don't care if you're back shove it as Jimmy Butler is treated and greeted like a king right now on the sidelines and you can't help but show him love.

We've had call us from Miami call before the playoffs and say watch out. This is the playoff version of Jimmy Butler watch out. This is a different Jimmy Butler than you see in the regular season. Watch out Jimmy Butler in the heat of going to be here. Congratulations to the heat. They whooping ass right now because of Jimmy Butler.

I'm still not picking them. I mean to go far maybe the Bucks maybe they do come back from down 3-1. This is this is going to be tough. If you're going to tell me that Jimmy Butler is going to carry the team with 56 points a game to close out this series or next game or I just can't see Milwaukee losing here. I know this sounds crazy.

I know I will sound nuts. I'm still picking the box and if the Miami Heat can close things out more power to them. It's just Jimmy Butler by himself with his friends and quite frankly his friends aren't that good or they're past their Prime, but congratulations to the Miami Heat Jimmy Butler 56 points as the Heat win 119 to 114 the Bucks had the lead here. They blew it. They had a chance to tie this series with a returning Giannis.

They blew it. And now we got more to look into we're going to take a break when we come back on the other side. We're going to hear some of these plays from Jimmy Butler 56 points is a lot. We ain't going to hear everyone but we're going to hear about Jimmy Butler on the other side. We're going to spend more time on Aaron Rodgers.

What was Aaron Rodgers traded for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies they are already under way in Los Angeles. We're going to talk about Dylan Brooks. We're going to get into draymond. We have another injury in the NBA with the Aaron Fox Steph Curry making mistakes. We are just getting warmed up. It's the JR sport brief show right here with you on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. Jr wants to hear from you call him now at 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS.

That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 2 2 7 the JR sport brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio tonight. Jimmy Butler puts on a show a historic show not only having the most playoff points that you will ever see or have ever seen in Miami Heat history. Jimmy Butler has put himself in the space of an Elgin Baylor of a Michael Jordan tonight with 56 points. Jimmy Butler has the fourth most points that we have ever seen in NBA history. Number one Michael Jordan had 63 Elgin Baylor had 61 Donovan Mitchell.

We know he can light it up Don will suffer against the Knicks. Donovan Mitchell had 57 Wilt Chamberlain Jordan Barkley and now Jimmy Butler have had 56 points in the Miami Heat. They win 119 to 114 against the Bucks in Miami are returning Jana cetera kumpo in his 26 points is not enough to stop Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat now have a 3-1 series lead.

Let me fill you in here. The Bucks basically led the entire game the Bucks kept the heat at Bay for the majority of the game. They let out one point by 15. It looked like the Miami Heat for clear on their way.

It's a looking at a Todd series with with the honest back, but now they got the lead and they can thank Jimmy Butler. He got going in the fourth quarter 56 points is a lot, but he started off with a slam dunk giving him 44 points at the time and finally giving the Miami Heat their first lead take a listen courtesy of the heat radio Network. Balls loose to Jimmy get up throwdown 44 on the board for Butler and the Miami Heat are up one.

He kept on rolling folks. It wasn't just a slam dunk by Jimmy Butler as the fourth quarter continued on Jimmy Butler. Not a world-renowned three-point shooter. He was dropping threes giving the heat another lead Martin brings it up. Gets it to pop top the Miami Heat ball and play moving to his right. He's got space fires a three knocks down yet. Another three Jimmy's third three three is a magic number. Three is a magic number Jimmy Butler's lucky number tonight. So Jimmy Butler's out there giving you a slam dunk. Jimmy Butler is out there knocking down threes Jimmy Butler for his 51st point. He says, you know what?

I'll hit you somewhere in the middle. He's a stack bat J rebound by Martin. He gets it to Jimmy everybody clears out Butler drives up with speed pulls it back fires.

Another three makes another three Jim. He he kept on rolling folks. That was 51 points at that point in time giving the Miami Heat a 112-109 lead. They held the lead. They extended the lead the final score 119 or 114.

Let's take a listen to the final call courtesy of the good folks at Turner. A 21-point fourth quarter for Butler a career-high in any game of 56 for Butler and Miami wins it by five. Again his start allowed the Heat to stay in the game, right?

We were wondering who was going to come along for the ride. He didn't need anyone. He was riding solo. Jimmy Butler with the game of his life Allie. Yeah, he lost his mind and you heard Reggie Miller there and Kevin Harlan Reggie Miller has certainly had his share of games where he has completely lost his mind and Jimmy Butler went out there tonight and he had his let me put this in perspective for you. Jimmy Butler was resting. He got off the bench in the fourth quarter with 8 minutes and 11 seconds left in the game when Jimmy Butler step back out onto the floor the Milwaukee Bucks were up 98 to 87 and they were they were cruising to a tied series at 2-2 when Jimmy Butler step back out onto the floor. He by himself outscored the Bucks 22 to 16. They were down 15 points. There one went away from from an upset and sure yeah, we can take a look at at Giannis if Giannis played would we be here?

Probably not. Victor Oladipo has a torn ligament in his knee. You have Tyler hero who is suffering from a broken hand. Oh, we won't see Tyler here again until the finals. Listen, don't get too excited.

But how long is this going to take place? It took a heroic effort from Jimmy Butler to win this game and Jimmy Butler was he was showered with chance of of MVP MVP when he spoke to Allie La Force. And this is Jimmy Butler on TNT right after the game. How do you make it look so easy?

My friend is not easy. They got some hella five defenders that are making it work for every basket, but I got them hella five teammates that tell me to keep going, keep being aggressive, keep attacking. It feels good to be the Miami Heat right now. You took your first lead of the game right around three minutes.

You had the back-to-back threes that put you up three. That was a huge moment for this team. What did it feel like to hear the crowd chanting MVP and just to be there for your teammates? I don't know about MVP.

I think that's Joelle, if I'm being brutally honest, but for my team to get this done in this way, in this atmosphere for this city, it's huge. You have the Milwaukee Bucks on the brink of elimination going to their home court. What do you relish about that opportunity? To play basketball in Milwaukee in front of their crowd and to be together on the road.

That's where championships are won and we got a shot. Congrats, Jimmy. I appreciate it.

Thank you. They got a shot, they do. This is crazy. Last night, I said to myself, hey, the New York Knicks have a 3-1 series lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The New York Knicks have a 3-1 series lead against the Cavs. And then I said to myself, oh, but on the other side of the bracket, Giannis is back. There's no way that the Milwaukee Bucks are going to go out there and lose to the Miami Heat. Giannis is back. Well, Giannis is back has been an issue and now they have to bounce back from a 3-1 series deficit.

And there is a reality here right now. That the New York Knicks might play the Miami Heat in the next round. I don't want to get too far ahead. The New York Knicks, the Miami Heat, we should have Alonzo Mourning and Patrick Ewing come out of cobwebs and battle it out as well. One step at a time here. But the Milwaukee Bucks got their backs up against the wall. Cavaliers got their backs up against the wall. And there's a realistic opportunity. And I don't want to go too far ahead.

Maybe the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat might go to the Eastern Conference Finals. What am I doing here? It's a wild world that we live in. 855-212-4CBS, that's 855-212-4CBS. Manny is calling from Flushing. Hey, Manny, you're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up? What's up, my brother? How you doing? I'm very well.

What's on your mind? It could happen. It could happen.

Oh, Lord. It would happen. They could heat.

Why would we reduce? Man, I would love to see that happen. Well, I mean, there's still plenty of time for the Knicks to choke. There's plenty of- Oh, no, please. Don't say that. I'm sorry. We've been through hell. We've been through hell.

I know. There's still plenty of time for the Milwaukee Bucks to just sweep the heat. I don't think that'd be all that crazy. You know, you got Jimmy Butler here and he's got to score 56 points for them to win a game. I mean, everything isn't guaranteed. So, hey, I'm going to say on record, unless there are more injuries, I think the Milwaukee Bucks will bounce back. I think they will.

I hope so. I hope so because I picked them to win the whole thing. I mean, you have the best record in the league. What's interesting about it because I do recall three years ago in the bubble. Unfortunately, the Bucks had the best record in the league and they were eliminated by, guess who?

The Miami Heat and they got to the finals. Yeah. It may happen again.

Well, we're going to find out. Also, injuries always play a role into everything. Hey, Manny, I appreciate you for calling from Queens, man.

Yeah, thank you, man. Please, basketball cards. Heat versus Knicks.

Please! Okay, maybe we get Patrick Ewing. We can ice them knees up. Maybe we get Alonzo Mourning back into the fold as well. Where's PJ Brown? What the hell is he doing? Haven't seen PJ Brown in 20 years. Where's he at? Can he play forever?

Find some of those dudes. Anyway, it's the JR Sportbreeze Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. When we come back, we're going to take a look at some of these injuries. I mean, even De'Aaron Fox is hurt. He's doubtful to take on the Golden State Warriors.

Injuries, once again, have just dominated another season of the playoffs. I'm going to give you an update on the other side. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbreeze on CBS Sports Radio. I have all the respect for you, first of all, JR. Appreciate you bringing the truth every night. I listen to you on my way back from work at this time. I'm a big fan. I just started listening to your show a few months ago. I'm hooked, man.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sportbreeze Show here on CBS Sports Radio. Yeah, Miami Heat, they beat the Bucks 119-114, Jimmy Butler with 56 points. The Miami Heat now lead their series 3-1. Doesn't matter what Giannis did in a return, came back and had a triple-double.

Didn't matter. They led the whole game and they choked it away in the fourth. And now the Bucks are down 3-2-1. Giannis, 26 points, 13, excuse me, 26 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds.

Before we went to break, I mentioned to you the reality that we just might see a New York Knicks, Miami Heat series in the next round. What world and what era? What decade am I living in?

What century is this? I still think the Bucks will, they got a great chance to still win this series. As an old-timey hero, it's not that Oladipo was contributing anything, but you get my drift. For the Miami Heat, it only takes one. For the New York Knicks, it will only take one victory because yesterday this was pretty damn cool.

They opened up Sunday basketball by beating the Cavs 102-93, another victory in Madison Square Garden. Jalen Brunson gives you 29 points. R.J. Barrett gives you 26. Julius Randle had a crap game, only 7 points. They didn't even need him. I'm sure that ankle is barking and Donovan Mitchell only held to 11 points. He had 22 points the last game. That's not going to be enough.

Eleven is not going to be enough. So the New York Knicks, they're jamming, playing at Madison Square Garden. The garden is jumping. It's lit. It's loud. It has all the energy in the world. The New York Knicks fans shut down the street after the game, literally.

The street was closed off. And even win the series yet, they won another game to get close to it. And so Tom Thibodeau, who has the excitement of a substitute teacher, he spoke about the playoff atmosphere at MSG, atmosphere there, and he's going to let the fans be excited. But he understands this is big time in the garden.

Listen to this. There's nothing like the garden. I think everyone knows that the energy that comes with with the building, what it means, all that stuff. So I thought our fans brought great energy and that that's helpful. But we have the best fans and it's the best arena to play in.

So there's nothing like a big game in the garden. They were nuts, man. Hey, Shep, I saw Pete Davidson there. Did you really?

Yeah, he was there. Sorry you had to see mediocrity. JR, it is a thrill to hear this man actually excited about something like that is a jovial Tom Thibodeau. Let's hear it.

What? He's excited? That is excitement from Tom Thibodeau. Let's hear this again. What is it? Is it Tom Thibodeau excited? I don't know what exists.

There's nothing like the garden. I think everyone knows that the energy that comes with with the building, what it means, all that stuff. That's enough of that crap. On a Bill Belichick scale of, I don't know, mad to sad, that ranks somewhere in the middle. You know, it's also interesting, JR, and obviously you're aware of this.

Congratulations on seeing Pete Davidson, although I don't understand why anyone would want to. But JR, you know this obviously being the basketball aficionado that you are. Julius Rendell had the, and Julius Rendell had some real duds in the playoffs.

Exactly. He has had some real cold type games in the playoffs for the Knicks. This was by far his worst postseason game of his career, at least with the Knicks. In fact, his postseason career, because he's never played in the playoffs before New York.

And they still won convincingly at the end. This is an underrated five seed. Knicks have every right to celebrate.

And I think they can contend with Milwaukee. In the street? Well, I mean- Did you see the guy climbing a pole on Friday night? He climbed a pole 20- Again? No, I didn't see it yesterday. Talking about Friday, the guy climbed a pole.

He's air humping a pole like he's trying to conceive up there. But the truth of the matter is, in sports, and fans know this, JR, when you celebrate like this, it's because you haven't been there before. You've been a loser, yeah. And in the case of New York- You've been a loser.

You haven't been there before. You and I remember them with Carmelo. We remember them with, you know, obviously the Canby days, the Spring of Houston days. I don't count that Carmelo stuff, man. I mean, they pushed a Pacers team to an end of a Game 6.

I don't know, bro. We know they wasn't going to win nothing that year. Well, if Amari Stoudemire's knees hold up, they do.

Amari Stoudemire wouldn't have been a Knick if his knees were going to hold up. That's a good point, too. Yeah. Hey, we got Jay here. He's calling from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Hey, Jay, you're on CBS Sports Radio. How you doing out in Albuquerque? Yo, I'm doing all right, JR. My man's pots and pans. What's going on? Oh, nothing, bro, pumped up about these Knicks, bro.

Wow. I talked to you in July, and we was laughing about how, well, not laughing, but we were just kind of like, what's going to go on with the Knicks? Like, what's going to go on? It was around my birthday time, and I've been through a lot since then.

No one needs to know about that. But anyway, I'm so excited that these are the things that keep me going, man. Why are you excited with the Knicks?

What got you going? I'm a lifelong diehard. I was born in Jamaica, Queens.

I'm out here in New Mexico, but my heart's over there. Been Knicks fan since I was young. Haven't been to a game in forever. I'm also a pretty diehard Jets fan on the low.

Can't talk about them too much because somebody really wants them. Well, no, we're going to talk about the New York Jets at the top of the hour because they picked up some, I don't know, what's the quarterback's name they picked up? It's A.A. Ron Rogers or some guy.

A.A. Ron. Yeah. Is he selling crystals on the side of the road? Like, what's his deal?

Yeah, I don't know what he does. He's going into the darkness. But he's my type of guy because that's something I would do.

I'd go into the darkness and come back. Okay. All right.

Well, let's see if he helps bring the New York Jets out of the darkness. I was going to say, I'm speaking. You don't sound like no, you sound like you from right here.

You don't sound like no guy from Albuquerque. Oh, no, I'm from, no, I don't know where I'm from. I'm one place here, there, you know how it is.

When in Rome, I'm in Rome. Just like a guy from Jamaica, Queens. Hey, Jay, thank you. Give me one of these sad, go New York things. What's the chant? How's it go?

Go New York, go New York, go. All right, thank you, Jay, for calling from Alberta. Appreciate you. Yes, take care. Talk soon.

You too. Man, Nick fans are everywhere. They're everywhere. Ninety-four? Did you hear the rhyme? Nineteen ninety-four? Okay, we don't need any, we don't need any more. Nineteen, we got ninety-four? Oh, my God. Go New York, go New York, go.

Oh, man. Nineteen ninety-four? We just played a, yeah, what, thirty-year raps?

Thirty-year-old rap? How is this guy on the floor again? Anthony Davis is on the floor.

Oh, my God. The Lakers are winning thirty-eight to, thirty-eight to twenty-nine. They just showed Anthony Davis writhing in pain under the basket. He's still standing up.

He is clutching his side. How? Hey, JR, compared to that other guy in L.A., you know, the guy that plays for the Clippers? Oh, Kawhi. He's Tom Brady in terms of durability, okay? We won't talk about Kawhi. This man is on the floor. Get up. How does anybody get hurt this much?

I tweeted out a couple of days ago. I said, Anthony Davis. He's in his favorite position. He's hitting us with his favorite move, laying on the floor. Like, that is Anthony Davis' signature move, laying on the ground. And now he's getting checked out by a trainer as he holds his side.

We need to put this dude in bubble wrap. What a disaster. Hey, oh, yeah, by the way, speaking of the New York Knicks and the New York team, I don't know if rest in peace is appropriate, but RIP to the Brooklyn Nets this season. Philadelphia 76ers got them the hell up on out of here.

Real simple. 855-212-4CBS, that's 855-212-4CBS. Tony, he's calling from Toronto. Hey, Tony, you're on CBS Sports Radio. What's going on? Hey, how you guys doing?

Excellent. Hey, I'm a regular listener to show you, as you know. But the one thing I just wish yourself, the rest of the, let's say, CBS media would acknowledge, there's an NHL playoff rounds going on with some of the best hockey. Now, being up here in Canada, hockey is huge.

I know in the U.S. it's got some foothold in some of the states, not everywhere, but there's just some amazing hockey. I wish you guys would talk about it. Take maybe 20 minutes in your show and the others to acknowledge some of the best hockey that's to be seen. 20 minutes? Yeah, whatever you guys could dedicate to it.

Marco Belletti, he just gave you a score. If you want me to dedicate 20 minutes to hockey, there's not going to be a show, Tony. You know what? I'm being what you would call, I guess, polite and respectful. I could say maybe you should talk about it for, what, half of a show every night, whatever it may be.

Let me just reiterate something that you said, and I'm going to say it in a different way. You're in Canada. You are in Toronto, Canada. This is a national broadcast to North America, all right? We had a caller here from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am in New York City.

I'm based in Atlanta, Georgia. There are people who listen in Hawaii. The majority of our listeners care about the NFL, NBA, and how bad baseball is.

The NHL is a niche sport. Okay, now, I knew that would be the response, but what about New York State, Massachusetts, all of the North... No, no. Well, this is not a show tailored towards any region. This is a national show. It's not a regional show. National show for everybody, for everybody to listen to.

You have to cast a wide net. This is a very simple question to you, Tony. You ready for this?

Yeah, go ahead. How many years have you worked in production? Myself, zero. Thank you. Thank you.

What does this say? I haven't done anything else my whole life. I've never had a real job, nothing. All I've done my whole life is produce, look at the audience, and try to deliver something. I think the proof is in the pudding a little bit, otherwise my ass wouldn't be here. And by the way, you know who asked me about what's on the show or tells me or gives a suggestion or says, hey, change this or change that, or do you know who says that?

Nobody. Thank you, Tony. It's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. When we come back, Anthony Davis is still playing, good for him. We're going to switch over from one popular sport to another one. We're going to talk about America's most popular athlete. His name, Aaron Rodgers.

It's the J.R. Sportbree show on CBS Sports Radio. I'll be back after the break. I've got to drop 56 like I'm Jimmy Butler. Let's get some damn sleep.
