Cal Raleigh's hitting home runs. Kyle Schwarber's waiting to get paid. We talked about Kawhi Leonard. He's out here. Every day, something new.
He wants this, he wanted that, he wanted this, he wants that, he wants to get paid for doing nothing. We could sell Kawhi Leonard, okay? Matter of fact, in a few minutes, I'm going to give you a top six list. Of overpaid athletes in 2025. These guys are getting paid to do.
Nothing. We'll get into that and I'm at it. If you've missed a minute or a second of the show, Go ahead and hit Rewind on the free Odyssey app. We got into Travis Kelsey and the Chiefs wearing these. Free four shirts for Rashee Rice.

You know, I forgot about this no hands thing, okay? One day I was in the gym and I was just like, hey, I had music playing. I don't want to hear this no more. And typically I'd get up and walk to my phone on the other side of the gym and I'd I tell it, I just manually change it with my hands, but no hands is better. I just go ahead and I tell the machine what to do.
Hey, uh I don't know, play play mob deep, okay? Put on some mob deep. Turn that uh I don't know, turn that Rihanna off. Shout out to Rihanna. No disrespect to Rihanna.
But anyway, Yeah. Ask your your smart speaker to play. The infinity Sports. Network. There have been so many conversations about people stealing.
Getting into things they got no business. Like there's a concern that Tom Brady is gonna be stealing information. Like he's back with Belichick and the Patriots. and that we're staring into the face of a new deflate gate. or spy gate, Well that Connor Stallions is gonna pop up.
Okay, but we know Tom Brady, he's busy. Forget, he ain't thinking about the Raiders. He's like, how can I get this? This thoughty money. That's what Tom Brady's thinking about.
Then we got Kawhi Leonard. His story continues on. Every day something new that we already knew. Kawhi Leonard wants to get paid for doin' nothin'. The Commissioner's talking about it.
Steve Ballmer, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, he's telling everybody. Hey, I got flim flammed, I got robbed Like, I didn't try to circumvent the cap. I didn't try to. Go around and and give Kawhi Leonard extra money. I didn't do that.
Those guys robbed me and then they paid him.
Okay, fine. Whatever. And it got me thinking. Here in 2025, the the numbers are astronomical. when it comes to professional athletes.
I told you about Shohei Otani making $700 million. He makes so much money away from the field if he's not getting robbed from his interpreter. That he's like, hey, you know what? I'll take $2 million a year for the next 10 years. And then give me the rest of my money later on when I ain't playing anymore.
What a life. Good for him. We got guys like Ronaldo. He's also playing in Saudi Arabia. He's like, I'll play in Saudi Arabia.
Just give me more money. I need a chef. I need money. He. Look.
Ronaldo is getting everything that Kawhi wants. Uh And now the Clippers are in trouble. Maybe Kawhi needs to just move to Saudi Arabia and play basketball. Then he could have a plane, he could have a boat. Gav eight chefs, but I don't know.
Maybe the guys in Saudi Arabia would actually want him to play basketball. But I digress momentarily. And so today, as I do every Wednesday, Something that I've done since 2009.
Well Not on the radio. on the radio for the past five years. In 2009 online. I'm giving you a new top six list. And today It's real simple.
I'm taking a look at some of the most overpaid athletes. in professional sports today. It's a new top six list. I got a lot to say.
So let's Go. Six, five Four, three.
So One. It's time to get JR's latest top six list. only on the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast. on the Infiniti Sports Network.
It's time to talk about some of the top six overpaid athletes. Not some of. These are the top six overpaid athletes. In 2025. They got big old contracts, making a lot of money.
Are they performing? Our teams getting in money's worth. Are fans seeing them? Are they having success? The answer is no.
Simple answer. And so let's get into it. Top six overpaid athletes in 2025. It's a countdown, it's the top six.
So we start here. Number six. Unfortunately we have to go to Southern California. We're gonna go on an Anahan This stupid ass name, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. And we got to start here with Mike Trout.
I am so sorry. I know the guy is a three-time MVP. I know the guy is an 11-time all-star. But when this guy made his debut in 2011, he was supposed to be the second coming. You're supposed to be the next big thing.
He's supposed to be like Babe Ruth.
Okay? Unfortunately. His body said, uh, no thanks, can't do that. I mean just last season Mike Trout You've been dealing with knee injuries. Then he's dealing with back injuries.
When he comes back from a knee injury, he's playing the outfield and then he ruins his knee again. And then it's just like, damn it, when are we ever gonna see Mike Trout? Because just what six years ago They gave him a 12-year contract. I'm sorry, it's not 700 like Shohei. But he signed a 12-year deal.
$430 million. That'll take him through 20. Thirty. But he's been hurt. He's been busted up.
He had to answer questions about his damn back. Hey, bro, your back isn't gonna hold up. He's like, oh, I got a narrowing of my spine. This year's his numbers are bad man OPS is the lowest that it's ever been in his career. Has a batten average of 229.
He still made the all-star team, how I don't know, just based off a name. And the Angels, you want to know what they win with him and what they have won? Not at all his fault. Thank Artie Moreno. The answer is nothing.
And back when he signed this deal, by the way, he just turned 34. He ain't gonna get better. Especially with his injuries. When he signed his contract. Mike Trout sat on ESPN with Scott Van Pelt.
And he asked him, Six years ago. Hey dude! Uh aren't you worried about the pressure that comes with this deal? This is what he said. Obviously there's going to be You know, the n the number 430 or 426 is always going to be You know, on my back, and people are gonna bring it up.
For me, I just go out there and play bass. I'm keeping it the same. I've been playing the same way, you know, after, even after my first contract, obviously. There's a little bit more pressure from the outside, but once it comes down to it, once I go out in that field, I don't worry about pressure. I just go out there and try to perform my best.
Ooh Yeah, he hasn't been able. You can't perform if you're not in the game. How about that? God bless them. 120 games this year.
29 last year, 82 the year before, 119 the year before that. 36 before that. 53 in the COVID year. We'll throw that one out the window. He's just been busted up.
Sorry Mike Trotcher overpaid. God bless him. At least he doesn't have that Shohei Otani money.
Okay? Anyway. Top six overpaid athletes in 2025. Mike Trout is six. Who's next?
Number five. Oh. of the guy getting money on the side. The world's most popular pitch man, Kawhi Leonard. Yeah, Kawhi Leonard, without a shadow of a doubt, why is he getting all this money?
Like does he have naked pictures of Steve Ballmer? Why did they give him a $153 million extension? When Kawhi Leonard doesn't know the first thing about playing ball.
Okay, this guy's basically been hurt since the Spurs. He really has. Like he showed up in Toronto, won a championship. And then try to extort the entire league. His uncle is running around asking for boats and planes and houses and mansions and endorsement deals where he doesn't have to get paid for nothing.
So much so that even the Clippers right now are being investigated. Kawhi London played. 37 games last season. That's it. Why the hell they gave him a $153 million extension?
I I I have no idea. None. He played 37 games, at least he could say he finished the season healthy as they were eliminated by the Nuggets. And now we're getting investigations as to whether or not the Clippers paid him through a sponsorship. an additional twenty eight million dollars.
I want you to hear. from Adam Silver. Because in speaking at the Front Office Sports Conference. Adam Silver had an explanation as to why this whole Kauai Leonard situation is blowing up. I mean, we've had other larger investigations, but be honest, even when it involves misconduct of owners, it doesn't get fans' attention of 30 teams in the way something does where there's a suggestion there's an unlevel playing field.
Yeah, because, like, why am I gonna pay Kawhi Leonard to be a pitch man? Unless he's selling, I don't know, paint. What are we doing here? What is he selling? Nothing.
He's boring. He needs to be selling dictionaries. That's the Kawhi Letter. If he was selling dictionaries, not even. Does he read?
Does he speak? Uh He'd have the plain white pieces of paper. Yeah, I don't know. Anyway. He actually made it through a season because he only played thirty seven games.
and after he was eliminated by the Denver Nuggets, One of the greatest NBA players, top 75 Kawhi. He he was asked about making it through the season healthy and uh This might be the longest answer I've ever heard him give. You've also mentioned throughout the season that your goal is to get to the offseason healthy. You've done that. Mentally, what does that do for you going not just into the offseason, but into next season in general?
Uh be able to Sure. start a training camp and be able to start the season, which is which will be great. But Um You know, right now, the loss is still on my mind, and but like you said, I am happy that I am healthy coming out the game. Uh wish would have wish we'd had a better outcome. Lot.
If Kawhi Leonard, if he has to be punished, I'm sure he's going to miss some time anyway, okay? Like ask his knees, ask his thighs, his Kawhi is uh. He's like, I'm getting paid a lot of money to do nothing. God bless him and God bless America. Top six overpaid athletes in 2025.
Kawhi Leonard is number five. Who is number one? Number four. Oh hey look, it's another NBA play. Except for this guy.
He's 25. And his injuries probably come because he's too fat. His name? Zion Williamson. This dude is, he's only 25 years old.
Are you kidding me? Zion is still only 25. This past season Oh my god. He played five. 30 games.
Yeah, he played 30 games. I mean, they might have to just start putting, you know, injury designations for players. They may have to put Zion Williamson out fat.
Okay, stop putting knee injury and thigh injury and quad. Just put Fat, but when he plays, he's amazing. 25 points a game, 7 rebounds, a field goal percentage of 55 to 60. Zion gets to it. The Pelicans gave him a five-year-old.
$200 million extension. But his rest of his salaries, none of it's guaranteed because they knew he's fat. Come on now. This man was supposed to be the next big thing. President Barack Obama showed up and sat courtside the CMM duke.
Nobody built like a defensive end. It should be moving like, I don't know. Michael Jordan. At least in the air.
Okay, and we know Zion Williamson, if he keeps this up, this big ass is gonna be grounded. I remember. couple of seasons ago, amongst all of his injuries, He walked into Gilbert Arena's podcast. And Gilbert Arenas is like, yeah, I got a problem with soda. Do you got a problem with food?
And Zion said, you know what, I'm going to tell you the truth. Listen to this. Is it hard to diet? At your age. Uh geez.
Be honest. This is you, I'll be real. There are times when I will say that man actually. Or It's hard it's hard, man, like. Got a lot of money.
It feels like all the money in the world, man. It is hard, but uh I'm at that point now where because of certain things I'm putting back like the wisdom around me, a bunch of Right. I don't want to say older because they take a piss too. I'm just putting people around me with wisdom. Yeah, he put people around him with wisdom.
It hasn't helped him out with his. His dating life is Sexual life, which is now public because an adult star tried to shout out his business. And then he's fat. I like watching Zion. I hope he stays, I hope he gets it together.
I don't think it's going to come together in Louisiana. I know that much, though. Maybe he gets moved somewhere and can... Have a career resurgence. I I hope.
Zion Williamson. Number four on my list. The top six overpaid athlete. In 2025, Zion number four, who's number Number three. Oh, this guy doesn't even play.
Ho ho ho ho. This guy doesn't play. I don't even know if he likes the sport that he plays. Oh, by the way, he's also an angel. Maybe he's one of the reasons that him and Mike Trout can't win anything.
His name is Anthony Rendon. This dude is 35 years old. This man helped the Nationals win the World Series in 2019. He then parlayed that into a new contract with the Los Angeles Angels. in 2020.
Listen to the embarrassment. By the way, here's how much he got paid. A seven-year contract. 245 million dollars.
Okay, since 2020, granted I know COVID year. 52 games. 2021, 58 games. Yeah, yeah. 43.
57. This year he's not even playing because of hip surgery. You may not even play into next year hip surgery. He stinks. And then last year, before the season started, he sat around.
In spring training, and he was asked. Like, hey dude, you making a lot of money. You don't seem enthusiastic about anything. A seven-year contract, $245 million, you never play. Anthony Rendon was asked.
Like, bruh, do you like coming to work? Do you like baseball? Is it a priority to you? Listen to his response. Is it still a top priority for you though?
That's never been a top priority for me. This is a job.
So I do this to make a living. My faith, my family come first before this job.
So, if those things come before it, I'm leaving. Is it a priority? Oh it's a priority for sure. This is my job. I'm here, all right?
Do you want to be here? I don't want to talk to you guys at 7 in the morning or whatever time it is.
So. Do you want to be here playing bass? I have answered your question, so why do you keep picking that? Oh, yeah, he technically answered it. Thank you.
Oh yeah, thank you. Yeah, now he's getting paid for doing nothing. Man, I know the angels are like, bro, please retire so we can at least get some type of injury settlement out of this. Anthony Rendon doesn't play, has never played since he got to this team. It's kinda sad.
Name an injury, his groin, his quad, his wrist, his thigh, his hip. It belongs in a nursing home, okay? He's number three on my list of overpaid athletes in 2025. What's next? Number two.
But what's next? Yeah, just some guy who's like 7-1. You want an NBA MVP and then he's just like what else do I need to play for? He ended up being on Team USA. He could have been on a million other countries.
Like, I want to win a gold medal. He got a gold medal in MVP and now he's just. The damity played 19 games last year. It's Joel MB. Have you seen this guy?
Have you seen Joel MB? I saw a photo the other day. He looks skinny. I don't know what that means. I hope that means he'll be.
Healthy. His knees are wrecked. Philadelphia 76ers gave him an extension that will take him through 2029. Oh my god. $200 million extension.
For what? Joel Enbi came into the NBA with knee injuries, and that's when he was thinner, and now he's bigger and has been bigger. And he's been nothing but hurt. And what he will tell you. is that he doesn't appreciate the criticism because he still shows up.
And he plays. I mean, just last year, he's like, listen, I bust my ass and I play with a broken face. And listen to MB tell you. It is Body doesn't react well, and you know, if your body, your body tells you one thing. And you know, there's, you know, there's I've been I've I've done it.
Yeah, from what I can tell you up then I broken my fist twice. I came back early with the risk of losing my vision. I had broken fingers. I still came back. Uh so I'm not gonna see him do like Uh like You know, when I s you know, when I you know, see people saying, doesn't want to play.
I've been way too much on. I've done way too much, you know, for this city and you know. putting myself at risk. Uh yeah for p to be saying that so I I I do think it's It's bullshit. Uh like that dude, he's not here, Marcus, whatever his name is.
I've done way too much for this f ⁇ ing. Yeah. to be treated like this. Oh. Don't wait wait.
much but Like I said. I wish I was as lucky as other ones, but that doesn't mean that Uh I'm not trying then, you know, I'm not, you know. doing whatever it takes to be out there, which I'm gonna be here pretty soon. Oh, come on, man. You've done so much.
You almost played with a broken face. How about you do this? Lose some weight. I hope he did. It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you coast to coast on the Infinity Sports Network.
I'm giving you a top six list of overpaid athletes in 2025. We come back on the other side of the break. I'm going to tell you who is number one. One. You're listening to the JR Sport Reshow on the Infinity Sports Network.
You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief Show. Here with you coast to coast. On the Infinity Sports Network. It is Wednesday.
I'm giving you a top six list. of overpaid athletes In twenty twenty A five. I'm getting ready to share with you. Who I have here at number one. But before we get there, Let me give you a quick recap if you're just tuning in.
Before we went to break, At number six I gave you Mike Trout. In the midst of a 12-year, $430 million contract with the Angels that will take him through 20. thirty. I understand this is not one of these uh Nizotani Deals. This is not a Juan Soto deal.
This is not in excess of $700 million. But Mike Trout's body has betrayed him.
so much since he signed his contract. Uh the angels uh I Artie Morano doesn't even know if he wants to own the Angels. They're bad. Mike Trout, number six on the list. The number five, I gave you Kawhi Leonard.
We know he doesn't play. We're gonna find out why he's getting all this money sooner than later. And number four, I gave you Zion Williamson. We know why he doesn't play because he likes to eat. I mean, his five-year, $200 million contract extension passed his rookie deal.
It's not even guaranteed anymore because of his issues. With food. I like to eat. And he admitted to Gilbert Arenas: he's like, man, I got a lot of money, I got a lot of access, I like to eat. Good for him.
I like to eat too. I ain't got his money, but I like to eat. Zion at number four. And number three. Top six overpaid athletes in 2025.
Anthony Rendon. The difference between him and Mike Trout is: I know Mike Trout actually wants to play. Anthony Rendon is just like, man, I got I won my World Series. I got my cash. I all I got to do is rehab and hang out with my family.
Who needs baseball? Not me. He'll tell you too. At number two. Top six overpaid athletes in 2025.
I gave you Joel MB. I saw a photo. I hope he's skinny. or thinner and man they never goin' be skinny. I hope he lost some weight.
19 games last year. It's like Joel Embiid said, I want to win MVP. And he did it. Joel Embiid said, I want to win a gold medal with Team USA, and then he did it. And then Joel Embiid, when it came to the Philadelphia 76ers, who are paying him.
Through 2029, how he's going to make it there, I have no idea. Joe Lemby said no thanks. But you can't judge him. He's like, I played with a broken face. I could have gone blind.
I played with broken fingers. Don't question me. One thing that he didn't do is the same thing that Zion does: lose some weight. How the hell you guys have private chefs and It's still big. Making that extra trip to the gas station, I see.
Okay, nothing wrong with that. Man, I sit here in the studio sometimes. These commercials come on, and I'm not fat at all, but I look at these commercials, I go, damn. When I get out this studio, I'm getting in my car. I need to get me something to eat.
Before I go running a few miles in the morning. I got Joel Embiid at number two on my list. Top six overpaid athletes.
So if Joel and Biete is number two, Who could possibly Be the most overpaid athlete in sports today. What number is it? Number one. Who is it? It's Deshaun.
Watson. How could he not be? Come on The Cleveland Browns are a bunch of idiots.
Okay? Like, think about this. The guy picks up like more than two dozen cases of sexual assault for uh you know, trying to do things in the massage rooms, right?
Okay? And then you got all these teams that are just like, oh, we got to trade for the guy. Atlanta Falcons lost Matt Ryan because of their interest in it. Matt Ryan is like, you want that guy?
Okay. And then the Cleveland Browns are like, nope, we'll take him instead. And then Baker Mayfield is gone. And so the Browns bring him in. There's all this trouble surrounding him.
Yeah, fine. He won a national championship, three-time Pro Bowler. Looked great with Houston. Looked like he was going to be a franchise quarterback. The Browns are like, we suck for so bad.
Who cares? Screw you, Baker. They bring them in. And then the Haslam family. Had to give all these explanations as to why they bring him in or why they brought him in.
And we trust him. We believe in him. We've done our due diligence. We talked about it as a family. Listen to this.
We put more time, more thought, more effort. talked to more people, did more research on this decision. By far. Than any other decision we've made with the Cleveland Browns. It's not something we took lightly, it's something we took very seriously.
and we feel comfortable with the process we've been through. Dee, I'll let you make any comments you might want to make. Yeah, I just want to say, I mean, this has been a really hard and difficult journey. Uh for for us and for our family. And we spend a lot of time and a lot of evenings spending time with our daughters and working through this as a family.
Yeah, we spoke to our daughters. The guy's an alleged pervert But we're going to give him a $230 million guaranteed. We spoke to our daughters. We told them, hey, we got to pay the guy because our quarterbacks suck. Why the hell did you need to give the guy a $230 million guarantee?
Deshaun Watson gets the deal. Everybody's looking at like the Browns? Are y'all stupid? You're giving him two hundred and thirty million dollars guaranteed with all of his Is legal issues? What are we doing?
And Deshaun Watson gets suspended for six games and they're like, no, no, no. The NFL is like, are you stupid? They suspend him for 11 games. And then Deshaun Watson is on ESPN and he's just like, oh, yeah, I'm sorry. Whatever.
Look, I want to say that I'm truly sorry to all the women that I've impacted in this situation. My decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position, you know, I would definitely like to have back. but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn and show that. You know, I am a true person of character and I'm going to keep pushing for it. Ouch.
$230 million guarantee. More than two dozen allegations of sexual assault that he has to settle. He has a suspension. He comes back and plays and he stinks. And then he breaks his shoulder.
Okay? And he comes back again. And he blows out his Achilles. And then when he's trying to rehab. He blows out his Achilles again.
His contract runs until next year. This man is making again a $230 million to do. Nothing. You thought I could say it in an eloquent way? Not too eloquent.
Let's take a listen to Hall of Famer. Chris Carter, because Chris Carter. Broke it down in even simpler terms about the obnoxious amount of money that the Browns gave him. and how ridiculous it is, and yet a guy is overpaid. Listen.
There's no way there's five worse trades than Deshaun Watson with a fully guaranteed contract. He's got two dozen lawsuits of rubbing it. I mean, he's on the table, but supposedly he was wanting more than what they were offering, whatever the menu was. His menu was very, very different than the menu of the Masseuts. And you gave him a fully guaranteed, fully, fully, fully, fully, fully, never been done the NFL contract before.
And it was so bad that all the owners called each other and said, listen, you dumbass, don't nobody do that again. Yeah, how stupid. You want to talk about the most overpaid athlete in sports? It's Deshaun Watson making $230 million. He got I can't even You heard it.
I I can't even go any deeper. I can't. I'm not. I refuse. Deshaun Watson number one on the list.
Here, let me give you a recap. Top six overpaid athletes in twenty twenty five. Mike Trout at six. Kawhi Leonard at five, Zion Williamson at four, Anthony Rendon at three. Joel MB at two.
Deshaun Watson, without a shadow of a doubt. At number One The phone lines are open if you wanna give me a holler. 888-710-4ISN is the number. That's 888-710. For ISN.
We're talking about some of the most overpaid athletes in sports. Today. I'll get to your phone calls on the other side of the break. We have so much more to do. You're locked into the JR Sport Reshow on the Infinity Sports Network.
It's time for a newsflash with Rich Ackerman. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief. It is the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. It's Wednesday. I just gave you a top six list.
We took a look. At the top six overpaid athletes. In twenty twenty Five. And number six, I gave you Mike Trout. And number five, I gave you Kawhi Leonard.
and um before I gave you Zion Williamson, At number three I gave you Anthony Rendon. And number two I gave you Joel M. Bi. And at number one, A $230 million guarantee to a guy with legal issues and then injury troubles. It's Deshaun Watson, Deshaun Watson.
Number one here. On. The List The phone lines are open. The first one is a very good thing. That's 888-710-55.
four I S N. I'm talking about the most overpaid athletes in sports today. Here he is to get us started from Toronto, Canada. It's Alan. Alan, you're on the JR Sport Brief Show.
What's going on? Thank you very much for taking my call, JR. Always grateful to be on the line with you. Upon further review, I was going to say Cade Cunningham, but upon further review, Review his salary is going to be bumped from 38 million to 46 million, and it's well spent because the pistons were 44 and 38, a 30-game improvement. I was going to say, Kate, I'd like to change, wait.
Sure, okay, sure, okay. Why did Kate Cunningham even cross your mind? When it comes to being overpaid, this is one of the bright young stars in the NBA. He's on his way to probably being an MVP candidate if he continues to. To kind of move in the direction that he's in.
Why did he even come across your mind as someone being overpaid? Because he only had 33 wins and a winning percentage of 22.76. I forgot about the 33. 25 2026 season right now.
Okay, I've changed it. Upon Trailer Review, I've changed it.
So I've got another one that I'd like to. No, I understand Alan, but I'm just still confused. I forget about the other one. I heard what you said about Vladimir Guerrero. It just is it's odd to me.
That you would mention a guy who just got into the NBA who actually plays just took his team to the playoffs, Like, he's in essence, he just finished up his rookie deal, and you're telling me about a team that sucked. Like, what do you want from him? He just got there. And they're already good. He made them good.
He's just uh overpaid. I think his salary is a little bit too high, that's all.
Well, they're what what they're paying every everybody in the NBA is getting money. He's actually playing and earning his money, and he's a young guy. I'm shocked, Alan. But Vladimir Guerrero, go ahead. Yeah, he's a fan.
First baseman, and he was given a 14-year extension for $500 million. It's a third. biggest contract in in history. And uh true he does have big s good speed for a big man, but he's B is still subpar, and he's certainly not a big base burglar either.
So he's overpaid for what he does. First baseman, he should be hitting over. 40 home runs, and he's not even, he's just Barely half of that right now is average. should be 320 and he's just barely 300.
So, you know, his for the amount of money that he's earning, his his production should be a lot better than it is.
Well, it's it's it's one year. He is also twenty six years old. In one season, he's hit more than he almost hit 50 home runs a few seasons ago.
So let's just slow down on Mr. Vladimir Guerrero. He's f it. Look, eventually they're going to park him at DH and the world will move on, okay? Yeah, okay.
A lot can happen in 14 years. You can see what's happening in this 14-year contract.
Well, a lot can happen. At least we know Vladimir Guerrero ain't going to be running around in the outfield. If there's anything to worry about, it's Vladimir Guerrero getting fat again. All right, so let's see. Thank you, Alan.
Great show. Thanks a lot for taking my call. Thank you so much. Damn, Alan, so harsh. Damn.
He's like, Let me beat up on the young guys who actually play. Yeah. Cade Cunningham. Look, it would have shocked me if Cade Cunningham wins an MVP in a couple of seasons. Like he's one of these dudes, he's what he six eight, six nine?
He can give you 25, 26, 27 points, and like nine assists. Like that's what Trey Young does at like six foot nothing.
Now you got come on, you got a guy six, nine doing that? Come on. And he's a good shooter? A lot of people don't even know about Kay Cunningham. Wait, just wait.
888-710-4ISN. It's eight eight eight seven ten For ISN. Denny is calling from Niagara Falls. You're on the JR Sport Reshow. Hey, first of all, you got the perfect voice for radio, man.
I've been dying to call in for a long time. Remind me of talking to my buddies back when I grew up right outside New York City. But man, this one's an easy one. Yeah, this is the easy one. I apologize.
I just caught what you were talking about, mid-segment, and I'm really happy to get him. Simmons, man. The guy is barely Claims, you know, I don't mess around with mental health. I had a brother who committed suicide. I get it.
I understand it, but I also respect the fact that if you are at that point and you cannot produce at work, you know you at some point get your head right. and take care of that first so that you come back healthy enough to possibly You play or choose not. Yeah. Yeah. Well this is not played.
He's got guaranteed money. Uh Even I I when you get people questioning your mental health, That's concerning to me because I'm not sitting there saying that it's 100% accurate. But I've never seen him turn down the money either. You know what I mean?
Well, listen, God bless all these guys for getting the money and signing the contracts. I mean, if somebody's going to offer it to you, then go out there and take it. But I will tell you this, Denny, thank you for calling. From Niagara Falls. Ben Simmons is currently a free agent.
That contract that he signed with the Sixers that paid him $177 million. Where he basically quit after Doc Rivers said, I don't know if we can win a championship with him. He basically shut down from there. He basically shut down when Trae Young, he was afraid of Trae Young blocking his shot.
Now Ben Simmons is a free agent. He just responded to somebody in some social media comments that he's not retiring. His agent dropped him because he rejected a deal and a contract from the New York Knicks.
Well, I mean, damn it, if Ben Simmons could hack it in Philadelphia, Yeah, he couldn't hack it in in Brooklyn. You got Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant yelling at him from the bench. Dude, shoot the ball. We knew he wasn't going to hack it with the New York Knicks. Isn't that guy's nothing but a he needs to be happy that Knicks offered him a deal?
Yeah, Ben Simmons, he might be playing back in Australia. And this was the knock on him when he was at LSU. Does he have a motor? Apparently not. We know he has the talent.
888-710-4ISN. At least ain't nobody paying him now. You already got his money. Maybe he's content. 888-710-4ISN.
