Christmas gift why not the one with the chicken leaving applicable waves as Christmas gift. Chicken maybe it's not the get for your family, but it gives the perfect gift for poor family ninja chicken can break the cycle of poverty for poor family yes chicken chickens and provide nourishment for family and they can sell those eggs at the market for income when you donate a chicken or any other gospel for Asia. 100% of what you give goes to the field and get the ball went gospel fundraiser to support family. Jesus family this Christmas, give them six explanation see chickens and other animals campaign. Brian 877-655-6755 877-655-6754 John did you recognize that voicing will judge holding up at 5 here with is that we here is your big kids in the way this is my wife Gracie was her I love it that fact. I can have her as bumper music royalties are going well and you want to just you and you don't get a job do you have any idea how difficult it is to be a trophy husband. I mean, it is you is just it's so you know, heavy lies, the crown John most people do. I this. Imagine a parent at the end of a rope caring for special-needs job and they get a daily phone call from a caring person, breaking through the isolation and checking on that stressed mom and dad what difference do you think that would make particularly we got a sense of isolation on the cultivars but think about that parent who is just feeling so alone, so lonely, so isolated and they get a phone call. Logistics announces how you doing. Imagine going to the grocery store in peace while knowing asymmetry was on duty for your aging love one that you not to be afraid. Being able to look at them on your phone or from your watch you John, you have and I watch whatever this thing I cannot but I do have.

I've got an Amazon show and I can drop in from anywhere and take a look.

I have a Dick Tracy decoder ring that can yell talk about that great joy to look at from from your phone from your watch from what John just said whatever that was. And imagine what know it say it's just a Celexa device that has a camera and screen on and you can I can drop it on the kids or if I really want to I can have every device in the in the house like broadcast like a PA voice of dad's little. Imagine being able to do that safely monitor your love one. If there an assisted facility during the evening hunting because people are having to trust that they're being cared for. You know by the staff on fourth and that imagine a system that guarantees your privacy.

With such a network that it provides a $1 million guarantee. These are services that are available to you right now Gracie that take advantage of them. You can go to companion 24 seven.com companion 24 seven.com but I do this with Gracie and I wanted her to talk a little bit today about why she finds this valuable because Gracie is a very vulnerable individual.

She has two prosthetic leg. She lives with a lot of significant mobility challenges from orthopedic damage and trauma that she's had over these 37 years since her car wreck and so you can't just abandon her leave her to her own devices there to hopefully well you'll be all right in a $20 bill under certain site.

Best of luck to you when you can do that you have to provide a mechanism where she feels safe but at the same time she doesn't want to feel smothered. Do you darling and and how do we know that you don't want to feel smothered because I can have smothered but it's jealous a little bit what is this what are some of the services that you take advantage of through constant companion will number one we discovered especially in Montana. I can even family and luggage fall risk that you just being in a bikini and then when I'm in the chair. I mean, now I'm getting myself engages in a following that Peter wasn't there, and I'm thinking what am I going to live here until somebody comes seriously. So in the bathroom there's one but that was flight and she is on notice she's on notice there are some of the of what the if something happened and I fell then I would would say computer call for help is on. He did Peter.com for help and it doesn't matter what it is me if I want to say some different I could but I mean that. That's just the gist of it. Computer call for help and then the rest of them. Now they all though one I think is really cool about them is that they play Pandora music and set his eye a play the Franks contract piano or will SP Domino and out myself here. I listen to George Gershwin shower lose their right mind is right next to the shower yeah Dennis I got my next well, there's one in the shower is one is one of the bedroom. There's one in the in the bathroom and there's one in the kitchen so I have it wherever the fall risk could be yeah yeah and and always is to say that there are these wonderful tools through constant contact that can really reduce the stress on both the person being care gift for and and for the caregiver and and really be efficient about all this and like we say a lot of times on the show but what we talk about is focused on the active caregiving but is also really good for really everybody else just caregivers deal with it in his magnified thing is that this is why we like I could say call the hospital all appear any any of those any of those things I want to hang around and now want to play game I'm bored right now want to play or ordered all REITs of Italy to talk with you now and it'll do any ill breeder, but to me it will read the Bible to me means really I have to say it's pretty cool.

Only thing you know that I have because I had the the you know who wicked and stubby name. Sometimes I forget and I'll call the computer that we had in that's really like that. I've had to call them computer and sometimes out they like that.

Of course you know who comes on. What would the cost to companion system that was one of the concerns that it would have to have Gracie reload all of her stuff. She had on Alexa is a lot of people already have elections or what I need another. You could either reload it or you can have it and run two separate systems right and it works either way. Like on Monday morning.

Many mornings I get a call that they ask me now how are you doing how you feeling you are, from a real person. This is a this is accomplished on a bond. I'm learning about this to so this is a combination of both device and service is really okay gotcha no call ended like I had a conference call last month with. I guess the board or something and I just asked him what what it while I want out of you know my computer your interest. Yeah, yes, will you what what what they will tailor it to our needs right and the fact that and for our situation. We we set up so that Gracie gets a call at 10 o'clock every Monday morning right in there and they're just calling is a real person in the contract. I think with visiting Angels to do this but but it's real person does this in a call up and he just said, look how you doing how you hold and what's going on is anything new is something you know you need to talk about the local person so I don't have to. If not somebody across the country where you saying at like if I needed somebody to come in the house because Peter was speaking at a conference or something. They write, they would make that happen is pretty amazing and really as I'm thinking about this, you know that they do have cameras you can you can do with this and that. That's something that we talked about that. I don't want to see Peter that night.

I am your constant companion. There is a battle talked about the children now. I mean when you say causing pain. First of all, it's a way for you to go here. Why I can be in my own home and not half dozen like I don't want to go right now. I live for one or more Somebody sometime yeah well the thing that the facility you work that is automatically a separation from your family and friends right now and and it put you in a different path and and so I never want will yes and the goal is to help peoples to your weekly talk about this on the show. 92% of people age and their own home. While this will greatly how was I was I going to happen with human resources better to use over going forward you're going to have to offset some of that stress people yeah and and and so this is able to do this. It's a tool it's it's not doesn't replace the human touch.

In fact, one of things I like about constant companion is that it engages the human touch through the phone calls she gets it, but I was thinking about this when we looked this up of a stressed-out caregiver of a special-needs child that is just blowing of the house, thing a kid with autism or whatever and that person is not engaged. Regular with other people and if there can you get a call every day.

You can set up so the calls every day program yeah and and and and how many times you don't hear here's the script we want you to have and say how you doing how you hold yeah and I think about all these people who are so stressed and I think what would it be like if they had a phone call just to say you do that is like I said okay have cameras gone and you have it like a thing like a PA system clean your make up your bed any day have not made public, but these are things that I am always looking for for myself and then for Buffalo caregivers.

Okay, how can we better offset some of the stress and there is no one to there's no one magic bullet is going to do this we all know that.

But that doesn't mean we can incorporate several things John said is perfect just as often as per the plan and we need to. I'm getting sure that I needed. I just miss you take your hand on our nocturne blondes claiming to come and meet. There's not enough people think about and sell if you as a parent or are you just I mean even when if your appearance are not that old, but they need to be living with them, like me, I wouldn't think of myself as a fall risk that you have an okay okay I know this because I don't like I was born this way as I don't think of myself. I mean I don't dream about a way out dream, myself without legs my dreams. I have leg still.

You know it's and it's kind of like when my brain because I still have all his nerve endings.

When my brain forgets like my first wake-up or something. When I turned around to do something and I don't have my legs on Eli couple months ago and temperatures, but I did not fall almost admitted to not II just pulled my legs around and I just thought I mean yeah I forgot that I didn't have any legs and so you know that if I had fallen again. That's a perfect example now and if I fall in the bedroom. Doubts. I will say this.

Alexa is not quite as nosy John is the tower one so that you know if she hears something that's kind of out of line. She may say you know hello is there something you need.

You know I'm saying is that I write that kind of thing now and that the camera thing. It would not gone into that point that with kids man or would like if you had a parents or somebody that's got Alzheimer's or dementia.

I mean, you can keep an eye on them immediately. Like you said, with the with the VA condom yeah you could say hey that's going on. Exact log into this later but I'm doing the distance-learning thing with the kids and what I've done is I've set up a you know it's hard for me to keep a schedule so I just have a set of alarms. That's every. All right, it's second. But said the math and by necessity all I'm sorry illicit dispute arose.

This is hopefully caregiver we got to go to break will be right back with talking with Gracie, my wife and all the things that involved in helping you stay strong and healthy as you take care of some other stuff that more information on constant companion companion 247.com companion 247.com put this in the pocket companion 247.com Rosenberger will be right back. Have you ever struggled to trust God when lousy things happen to you. I'm Gracie Rosenberger in 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident, leading to 80 surgeries in both legs. They became. I questioned why God allowed something so brutal to happen to me.

But over time, my questions changed and I discovered courage to trust God that understanding along with an appreciation for quality prosthetic limbs led me to establish standing with help more than a dozen years we been working with the government of Ghana and West Africa, equipping and training local workers to build and maintain quality prosthetic limbs for their own people on a regular basis. We purchased ship equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in a Tennessee prison. We also recycle parts from donated lambs.

All of this is to point others to Christ. The source of my help and strength, please visit standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others that standing without.com.

I'm Gracie. I am staining with help
