Hey, we are back, and are privileged to have Governor Glenn Youngkin, great friend of the show, former Governor of Virginia. Because he can only do one term, he would have won had he been out there again. But it's gone to the so-called moderate Abigail Spanberger, and she's not a moderate. And that's it's so telling for this election cycle because you have a bunch of people who have a who are running for for things and saying things that they don't believe, and their track record doesn't reflect. And the people of Virginia and the people of New Jersey got.
Burned, and I'm wondering if the people of this, the people of Michigan and Texas, are going to feel the same way, Governor. One thing about it, I when Trump ran, I knew exactly who was going to do. You know, when you ran, I knew exactly what you're going to do. It's very tough for the voter when someone sounds good, but you look at their track record and you go, they can't possibly believe this. Yeah, I first of all, Brian, great being to be with you today, sitting in studio.
It's awesome to be here. Thank you. But at the end of the day, what what the Democrats have decided. They're going to say whatever they need to say in order to win. We recognize that the socialists have taken over the party, and yet they're doing everything they can to try to downplay it until they can fool voters and win.
And Abigail Spanberger did it in Virginia. She told voters she was a moderate on day one. She took an express train left and immediately turned Virginia into a sanctuary state. Immediately unleashed new fees, taxes, and and requirements on businesses. And individuals immediately started to put criminal first, victims last.
Immediately started to dictate what kids had to learn in school. You got to teach climate change in schools now in Virginia, and and this is what it's all about. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
So. The net of this is you have to look at where they've come from and what they have said in order to understand what they're gonna do. Because you you know you look at this Texas race and Taylor Rico has absolutely completely shifted everything that he has stood for in order to try to fool voters in Texas to try to win. And then you see Al Sayed, who all of a sudden doesn't know doesn't know who Piker is, and when when he ran around with him forever and and you know streamer streamer from Yeah, it's just unbelievable.
So this is what they do: is they try to deceive voters so they they can win places where voters are much more centrist or even center right in order to try to convince them that they are not not leftist and they are. I saw I saw a number that there's sixteen hundred ninety five detainers. That they are not honoring ISIS requests to grab these men, these guys, and get them out. Yeah.
So that must burn you. I almost feel I saw Bruce Blakeman, he's Nassau County executive who wants to be the next governor in New York. He makes and his police force is the best pound for pound of the country. If you look at the stats, they were cooperating with ICE. Governor Hochul says, "I will arrest the police chiefs and sheriffs who cooperate with ICE." So, so Governor, the county executive, Blakeman, who wants to be the governor, had to tell him, "Stop cooperating." And he said it was the hardest press conference he ever gave.
They must burn you, knowing that you everything that you did that she said she wouldn't undo, she's undoing. Is that personal?
Well, first of all, I wake up every morning and start in prayer. Scripture, because I've got to prepare to read the newspaper to find out what she's doing. And when when she undid my executive order, which mandated collaboration and cooperation between local, state, and federal resources, she made a big statement that she was going to put criminals ahead of the safety of the citizens of Virginia. And what we've seen, of course, is violent crime committed by repeat offenders who are illegal immigrants here. I mean.
And it's it's not something that you can hide from, and that's why voters in Virginia have huge voters' remorse today. I mean, she's the least popular governor in modern history because of these kinds of actions. And the key thing here is to make sure that voters understand the truth: the truth that, in fact, Kathy Hochul wants New York to be a sanctuary state. She does, and she wants to spend tens of billions of dollars on trying to. Take care of illegal immigrants who are here in America and in in New York, rather than to take care of the the folks that are here because they are citizens.
and And this is what voters have to understand. And this, Brian, this is the big point: we have naturally huge fall off from presidencials to midterms. And you take a state like Michigan, yeah, and you have a twenty, almost a twenty five percent fall off. From turnout in 2024 to what's expected. In 2026, among the party in power, or just overall, just overall, overall, literally 5.7 million people turned out and voted in in Michigan in 2024 in the midterms.
Just before that, it was under four and a half million votes, and so you have this 20 percent drop off in just total voter turnout. And yet, if that race is as close as everybody says it is, and they're saying it's a toss up, so if it's a one percent race, that's 45 thousand votes that are going to determine who is. Going to be the next senator from Michigan, and by the way, who controls the Senate in my mind? And is it going to be a true socialist, right? Or is it going to be somebody like Mike Rogers, who is literally a conservative stalwart?
And that's why we've got to make sure we get the voter turnout. But think about a million two people sitting on the sidelines in Michigan, a state that Trump won, right? And yet that state's going to be decided by forty five thousand votes. But we have got to get the vote out. See.
I'll say, see, for the voter. For example, if let's say Spanberger ran, her agenda that she's implementing is an agenda that would have got an elected mayor of Chicago. It would have got elected mayor of New York. It really is. It's a platform.
So, what she did, if she ran, hey, I'm a CIA person, a congresswoman, but I am going to do all those things. Would she have won? Everything that if she was just honest and said, "I am for sanctuary city state," I am for not honoring, pushing back on ICE.
Well, I will tell you this: there have been a lot of people who wouldn't have voted for her. Yeah, and that's the truth.
So what are you hiding? Like you would never say something. No, like have a fundamental policy. Like I'm not for school choice. Of course, Glenn Youngkin's for school choice.
If you said you weren't, you'd be not telling the truth. Yeah.
And then if I voted for you, I'd be pretty angry. Yeah, and that's why voters in Virginia are angry. And that's why it's so important to see through the false facade that's being put up by all these candidates around the country on the left. It is a false facade, and what we also recognize is that President Trump is out beating the pavement, and that guy's working hard in order to make sure that those voters that routinely stay home get out and vote. Because again, you know, in a state like Michigan, where out of the out of the one point two million drop off in voters, half of those folks, if not more, came out and voted for the president.
Let's get them out to vote, and this you think about the races. You think about Ohio and Texas and Michigan, Alaska, Kansas. I mean, these states are where not only the Senate races are going to determine who controls the Senate, but who controls the House. I mean, look at Alaska. You know, so so we have the two Dan Solivans, which could be one or two percent.
That's a big problem. There's another Dan Sullivan in the race there just to deceive.
So, but when you have Alaska. How can you actually poll Alaska, right? How can you actually? Ohio was way off when Bernie Moreno ran, and you have a thousand people in Texas. You are polling a thousand people in Texas.
You know how much how different San Antonio is from from Austin.
So, how do you, as a politician, view the polls? Do you look at it as a weather vane? Do you look at it as a pulse? Like, how do you? I mean, as a weather vane, you can't ignore them.
There are good polls and bad polls. We know that there was a poll that broke in Florida yesterday that was done by one of the regional Florida universities. University polls are routinely wrong. Really?
Okay. Routinely wrong. They they use bad methodology. They tend to stretch them out over weeks. I mean, I can get into all the polling dynamics and so.
But but what you have as a candidate is your internal polls and an enormous amount of data analytics. Who's turning out? What are they? Democrats, Republicans, or independent? Could you persuade them?
And in a state like Alaska, listen, there's going to be I don't know 300,000 people that vote in this election, and so if it's a one percent race, that's 3,000 votes that are going to determine who is going to represent Alaska in in Washington in in the Senate. Which means you got to go talk to every voter, and and down the stretch here, the candidates that are on message, that are talking to voters and carrying the voters' trust. Or who's going to win, and that's why this this constant, constant misleading by the Democrat candidates has to be exposed because that's what it is.
So, for example, Talerico would not campaign with Bernie Sanders, but Bernie Sanders was in Houston. Saying what Talerico would do, and then you have Hassan Piker and saying, "I control." Say it flat out. Talerico better not forget who put him there. Really, I didn't know they knew each other. You said he will do what I say when he gets in.
That should have been disqualifying to what we know as a Texan, shouldn't it? It should. It should. Listen, I'm I'm married to a Texan, and we spent a lot of time in Texas. And the heart of Texas is in.
In conservative Republican politics, but what we're gonna what we're seeing again is a master class in how to present what Talarico thinks people want to hear. The truth is really different. I mean, this guy is a fraud on many, many fronts. In fact, most, and people need to understand that. Right.
That's why this race is so important in Texas, because not only do we have the Senate up, but we've got a great governor in Texas, in Governor Greg Abbott, and he's on the ballot as well. And one or two point tighter race, and it should be. Listen, Greg Abbott's been a stalwart for Texans, and Texans, get out and vote, and make sure that you keep. Greg Abbott as your governor. I understand.
So I want to talk about this billionaires tax. That has billionaires running from California, about thirty, some high-profile ones from Steven Spielberg to Mark Zuckerberg to Sergey Brin. These are the biggest names, and there's others that we just don't know that do things, and they're leaving. Gavin Newsom said something interesting. I'm not for this tax.
I'm for a federal billionaires tax. They tried it in Sweden. They disbanded in 2018 in France. They're trying to put it up in Brazil. Tell me, because you know economics so well.
And you're a self-made, very successful person, and a lot of these people are your friends and peers. Tell me what the problem is with the billionaire's tax.
Well, at the end of the day, there's a there's a universal attack by the Democrat Socialist Party, which is the Democrat Party today, on everything to do with free enterprise, everything. And of course, at the heart of free enterprise is allowing individuals to actually build and create and invent. And of course, there are economic rewards that come with that. And if you want to just completely torpedo the free enterprise system, say that there's a cap on what you can earn in America, because that's what they're saying.
Well, you know that the mayor of New York City said there should not be billionaires in America. And the AOC said nobody earns a billion dollars, but that's what you're pushing against. Yeah, and and here's a moment for us to remind everybody where people have come from. Which is people build this, they create it, they invent it, they change the way we live and work and enjoy each other because of tremendous innovations across this country. And by the way, America is the capital of innovation.
I know. I mean, it doesn't happen in these other countries because they have adopted much more of a socialist approach. Look at Europe. I mean, Europe has been through this for a long time, and they they've driven out all of. Their entrepreneurial spirit, GDP has been woeful in Europe for decades now.
As a result, and anyone who wants to build anything that's going to change the world comes to America and does it because they know they have a chance to get it done here. Right. So we have to once again remind all Americans that the free enterprise system, which is at the foundation of this country's history, present, and future, is a requirement for us to continue. Be the great nation that we are. And you have a few more minutes on the other side.
So we have a few more minutes. I want to keep because we've got a ton more questions. We have Governor Glenn Youngkin here working hard to see to make sure Republicans keep their majorities in the House and Senate and their governorships. We'll talk about that when we come back. How can we help make stronger communities happen?
Well, at JPMorgan Chase, we invest in what's working, because when businesses can grow, that growth means more jobs for more people, and more goods that can go to more restaurants and main streets and schools in the communities we love. Make the green grass grow all around, all around. Make the green grass grow all around. Make momentum happen. Learn more at jpmorganchase.com/impact.
You hear me talk about this all the time. Obamacare was supposed to Make healthcare more affordable. How's that working out? People are still getting crushed by the cost of healthcare insurance. Maybe you are.
Insurance companies are making greater profits, and while everything gets more expensive for you and your family, at some point you have to ask: Is there another way?
Well, there is. More than 1.7 million Americans have already chosen an alternative to traditional health insurance called health care sharing. The company I like is called We Share Health because they're a nonprofit and they're faith-based. It's a Christian organization. Their members pay up to 60 less than they would for traditional insurance and still get access to a nationwide PPO network and over a million physicians, plus unlimited telehealth.
With open enrollment around the corner, don't just renew. Blindly, do your own research. You have options. See what else is out there. Call one eight eight eight We Share to find out more and get a free quote in just minutes.
That's one eight eight eight We Share, or go to we share health dot org and take a look for yourself. This is a man who holds a medical degree from Columbia University. This is a man who was a Rhodes Scholar, who got his doctorate in public health at Oxford University. I feel like he is one of the most qualified Senate candidates that we've seen in a long time. I think he does politics extremely well, and there has been these constant Islamophobic these.
Islamophobic comments around his candidacy. Trump called him a jihadist. I mean, this is just. I think it's out of line. I think it's out of pocket for our country to be a country where all religions aren't aren't welcome.
Sunny Hostin, the genius on the View, but a lot of people feel that way. If they're going to vote for him, Governor Glenn Youngkin is here. Governor, is it to be critical of him and worry about Muslim Brotherhood ties? Is that Islamophobic? No, it's actually a appropriate questioning to understand who somebody is and what they believe.
And when I ran in Virginia, listen, I am a I am a very clear communicator about where I stand with my faith. I start every morning in prayer. I'm led by my faith. I believe in Jesus Christ. He's my savior, and people would ask me about it all the time, all the time.
Nobody got mad at anybody for asking me that question. Are you going to bring your faith into your job? Yes, I am, because that's what defines me, and I was very clear about it. I think it's just fine for people to ask these questions, and in fact, you can't really understand who a person is without asking these kinds of questions. And I do think it is.
It is the consistent response, which is when when you ask people tough questions, rather than just answer them, they immediately say, "Oh, you are actually are a racist or something on those lines." It's everyone should just be clear where do I stand on what I believe, and voters, this is what I am going to go do. And to change your narrative or try to actually hide it, I think is wrong.
So he in twenty twelve, al Sayed signed a statement supporting President Mohammed Mohammed Morsi. You know who he was, the Muslim Brotherhood leader of Egypt, and said everyone should support him.
So Muslim Brotherhood leader, his mom was a Muslim, supported Muslim Brotherhood in college. The sister says, "I'm so proud of my mother." And then he has a sister in law gets picked up was on the no fly list. Why wouldn't you ask these comments about this? Why wouldn't that concern you? Yeah, I think Hassan Piker does like America.
I mean, I think you just get back to Hassan Piker saying that America deserved 9/11 and they're friends and hang out a lot, and all of a sudden they're not. And these are these are fair questions during during a campaign season where you're trying to understand where people stand. How are they going to make decisions? And voters need to have great transparency in that. and And here we go.
We're we're in a very tight race where every voter deserves to understand where where Elsai stands on these topics. Just full stop. I think, and you're going to go on the campaign trail, Governor Youngkin. I think this France thing, and now it's in Lisbon and Milan, is is something you guys should be talking about because I do worry about illegal immigration poisoning our society. People don't love.
The country trying to destroy the country, but yet the Democrats are saying this is about income inequality. Listen to this: Cut thirty-nine, Rokana. You see, in many of these places, whether it's Albania, whether it's in Spain, you see a discontent from young people. In our own country, why? Because they're saying wealth is accumulating in the hands of a few.
You got 989 billionaires. Many in my district, they've got 22 of the economy. They they are getting all the gains. One third of the wealth sits in my district.
So he goes on to say that that's what these French riots are about: income inequality. No, these French riots are about the fact that they now they over the last many decades have had uncontrolled immigration into France, and now French people are standing up saying, "Wait a minute, we have spent enough in schools because of the big influx into our schools, and we're angry about that." And let's just be real: the French riots have gone violent because of the leftists that have all of a sudden decided this is an opportunity. Twenty-two separate groups have been so hate, and we just we just have to be clear about this stuff. Listen, you take a state like Minnesota right now. Why is the Minnesota Senate race so tight?
It's because because the people of Minnesota are angry that the fraud that was now uncovered across Minnesota has really shine a bright light on the fact that the it was it wasn't waste. It was fraud, and people are angry about it. Thanks so much. They're going to vote because. Governor Glenn Youngkin, thank you.
