Price and coverage match limited by state law. Here's why April chose to vaccinate her child. I think actually meeting someone who was not vaccinated and now has a lifelong struggle with a childhood disease really cemented for me that it's super important that we as parents continue to vaccinate our children.

We're really excited to welcome our friend, my longtime colleague John Kincaid who's getting ready for his Philadelphia morning show on 97.5 The Fanatic. I mean I was going to ask you about how the Phillies are the best in Major League Baseball. I suppose that's not quite accurate but what's making them tick right now, John? Oh they're the best in Major League Baseball.
Don't let those New Yorkers tell you differently. Just look at the starting rotation. They're the best team in Major League Baseball and it just starts there.
Every single night for the most part and last night when you get the Taiwan Walker starts they just know that those starts are going to be nights where they got a club. They got to score like six runs to try to win the game but other than that they know they're getting a supreme effort whether it be from Wheeler. Right now Aaron Nola is the guy that's sort of rounding out the four of their starters which is shocking with Christopher Sanchez and of course you've got Ranger Suarez who is just fantastic coming in that rotation.
When you've got four guys sub three that's really really good stuff. You were in Atlanta for a long time right now. They're the closest competition to the Phillies in the NL East but they've lost some key pieces. What kind of staying power do you think the Braves have? Oh I think they got staying power and I don't trust Alex Anthopoulos as far as I can throw him.
I was texting, I texted him the other day and I'm like look I don't trust you. I know you're up to something. I know he's going to go get something to help the Braves try to you know bridge the gap losing Ronald Acuna Jr. the other day to an injury. I think Anthopoulos is one of the most skilled baseball men out there. I know he's up to something and if anyone learned a lesson from the Mets a few years ago where the Mets were cruising into July you know just trouncing the Atlanta Braves and they started talking.
They started smelling themselves. They started feeling it and the Braves came back and beat them. It took 161 of those games to do it but they came by and got them. Now the Phillies took them out in the postseason but it was a hell of a comeback. If anybody doubts the Atlanta Braves can push the Phillies to the end I think that they are sadly mistaken. So the Phillies are going to be on their game and I think Dave Dombrowski will be shopping to try to make sure that he any perceived weakness he tries to attack it too. Just listening to a clip from Tyler Sagan of the Dallas Stars in which he says in sports you have to lose a lot before you win.
He's referring to the Stars coming up short again. Well the Phillies we know they lost in the World Series in 22 to the Astros. Last year get back to the NLCS they lose to the Diamondbacks in a seven game series.
Have they lost enough now for them to get to the point at which they're ready to be World Series champs? Amy I gotta tell you this this year in spring training it was a overwhelming talking point that the Phillies were pissed off. That they feel that they had lost a golden opportunity. That they feel that they had had the opportunity to go back to a World Series correct things last year and they blew it by losing to the Diamondbacks. And there was this everybody sort of had the talking point of we're going to be focused this year we're not going to get off to a lousy start. Remember this is a team that played like 500 ball into Father's Day the last two years and still made it as far as they did. They claimed they were going to come out of the box focused from day one. Well hell if they didn't do it you know what I mean like if they backed it up.
I gotta tell you my eyes rolled a little bit when I was hearing it in the spring because I'm one of those people who's like just show me stop talking about it. And they have shown up every single night focused driven ready to go and they've got an attitude about them. And one of the things this team loves is there's an energy about them there's a positivity about them.
They like each other they get along well they're feeling the energy and they push each other. And I gotta tell you I think this is as good a baseball team as I've seen from the Phillies since their run with you know Rollins and Utley and Howard and Cole Hamels back in the day. John Kincaid with us before his morning show on 97.5 The Fanatic which will start at the top of the hour.
So we're pleased to grab him for a couple of minutes here on after hours. John I know the Eagles have only really done practices it's you know it's supposed to be the off season but how much would you say the the Eagles are a story even with the Phillies playing as well as they are. Oh you know what Amy the Eagles are always a story here I mean you know if if Jalen Hurts had the runs uh after Mexican.
Ew this is the morning show. I understand but it would be a story in Philadelphia because we have stepped on everything but I but I gotta tell you there is some uh there's some angst when it comes to the Eagles uh and that one in seven collapse of last year and collapse should be with a capital C was absolutely not only unexpected but absolutely inexcusable and what happened to them. Now the coordinators last year it is appeared were the big problem that Sean Desai and Brian Johnson had no clue of what they were doing and they took a Super Bowl team and replaced the coordinators with two inexperienced guys. Instead now they've gone out and gotten Kellen Moore they've gotten Vic Fangio and like this week they will have their first mandatory minicamp since Nick Sirianni has been the head coach. Nick Sirianni runs practice and thinks of practicing as if you're going to a sandals to go like sit on the beach. They practice in pads the least of any NFL team last couple years uh very relaxed atmosphere. Well that's changed that's changed I'm in a mandatory minicamp this week and I don't think Vic Fangio looked at that and said yeah that's what I want to do we're going to practice more we're going to practice harder and I am so excited for Kellen Moore to be here even with that cowboy stank on him. I know what he can do as an offensive coordinator and I'm thrilled to see what he can do with Devante Smith and AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley and can he get Jalen Hurts back to the level that he played two years ago when he went toe to toe with Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. John the NFC East games are always scintillating great rivalries there so not thinking about the divisional games but the rest of the Eagles schedule what stands out? I hate the fact that their biggest home game was taken away from them by the NFL because I believe the biggest home game I mean Dallas and the Eagles Amy every year I just look into it and I say okay I'm assuming a split so I just assume that they're going to split all right neither team's going to sweep so I always look at the what's the biggest team that's coming into the Lincoln financial field that isn't the Cowboys and it's to me it's the Green Bay Packers and instead of having that game at Lincoln financial field they're going to play it on a neutral site in Sao Paulo Brazil which is ridiculous to me first of all it's completely ridiculous that your biggest home game would be this all the sudden this road game which is supposed to be a home game I think it takes the juice away from it schedule that game in a November or early December in Philadelphia and I think as a home team you get a distinct advantage I don't like that about it but I love how the Eagles schedule breaks because they've got an easy easy end of the year should they be able to get off to a good start for NFC games to start the year I think they should be in a great position to end out the year they don't get on a plane after December 1st when they fly home from when they would take they don't get on a plane excuse me uh from from Thanksgiving so it's to me it's a really really favorable schedule they will be just having local local travel a lot of home games it should be really easy at the end should they're in if they're in a good position to win so safe to say if there's another one in seven collapse with an easy schedule Nick Sirianni will not survive I gotta tell you Amy uh there are I did not advocate for it but I'm a little bit shocked that he's here I thought I thought he was I thought they were going to pull the trigger because Jeffrey Laurie does not suffer fools well and I'm not calling Nick Sirianni a fool but he oversaw honestly the worst collapse the Jets had done at once that was as embarrassing a 10-1 start to collapse like they did completely unacceptable and when the coordinators were going off the rails Nick Sirianni could not take the wheel and save the car from going off the cliff so to me now he's got two very very competent coordinators in there veteran guys I have a feeling he'll be in a much better position to succeed this year but oh mark my words I mean Nick Sirianni is on the clock as of today believe me today June 3rd he's on the like he is on the clock when when mini camps are going on everybody is scrutinizing him he's he's honestly he's not that popular here and I think he should be more popular he's made the playoffs three years in a row he's been to a Super Bowl but I'm not sure that people truly believe that he's the reason that this team has won even when he's been the head coach our friend John Kincaid is with us and more than anything that he'll talk about on his radio show more than anything that's happening in Philly sports every time I talk to him or we text I always am so thrilled again that you're cancer-free now it's been about six months six months yeah I just got my six months clean and today I will play golf Brian Dawkins has a celebrity golf tournament here in the Philly area you know for his charity the impact foundation and I will be playing in that it will be my first round of golf since cancer and I'm so excited for it and and to be out there and swing the clubs again and Christina got me new clubs for Christmas and so I am very very excited to get out there and get out there and swing them I've been at the driving range but just to get out and live my life is very very big and it's very kind to you this I know you always look out for me I do how are you feeling good I feel good I feel stronger every day it's a little slower recovery than I would have expected but look the hair is on point honestly the hair is on point I'm just trying to get around an extra I'm the only person who puts on weight with cancer and I'm still and I'm trying to get like 12 extra pounds off me but I put on 27 pounds doing chemo nobody in the world I did double chemo and put on 27 pounds nobody does that the doctors are like okay that doesn't usually happen but I don't you know I have a strong continent so still trying to get like 12 more pounds off me to feel my best but it's it looked good and feel good that's what I'm trying to do in how long have we been colleagues slash friends mean friends like 20 years I got a long time yeah long long time my radio sister one of my radio sisters yes
