Hey guys, this is Kenan Thompson. I have a problem with you. Yes, you. None of y'all told me that Auto Trader has millions of new and used cars that I can shop from home. I thought we were friends.

I put smiles on your face, but I'm not smiling. No one told me that with Auto Trader a dealer can deliver cars to my home or that I could shop by price on Auto Trader. No one. Consider this friendship that you just learned we had officially over.

Finally, it's easy. Auto Trader. Last year, you may have made some smart decisions and you may have made some not so smart decisions.

Like maybe you had a little too much confidence in that one crypto exchange. The good news is making smart financial decisions is easier than you think. Don't you worry. We briefly thought about completely tanking the show the way that some teams potentially tank their seasons, which I actually don't believe in tanking. But for a second there, we were briefly considering tanking this show and then we decided, fine, we won't. We'll do our duty.

We'll show up and do our duty. But just little behind the scenes Intel. It was one of those days. Jay was one of those days, wasn't it? Oh, it was. It was one of those days. It was one of those days.

Yeah, so that what that means for us is that we did not sleep, either one of us, for whatever reason. We both were so exhausted when we got home on Tuesday morning and there was crazy weather and it was just such a relief after about 36 hours of a very frenetic pace. You know, if you've been listening the last couple nights, we've hit the college basketball hard. We've done some incredible interviews that we're really proud of.

All of them on our podcast, by the way. But we were both like beat. So Tuesday morning I'm thinking, oh, this is the best. I want to sleep so great.

It's a darker day out there because the clouds and I know Jay went to bed early too. Well, it didn't. Well, you tried, I guess. It didn't happen. It just, it didn't happen.

It was no. It's a dark day. Yeah, here's the crazy thing is actually it wasn't a dark day.

I don't know if it was because of the snow because at least at my house it snowed all day. Now, crazy enough, none of it stuck. That's the weird part. I was up every hour, pretty much on the hour because I, after 11 o'clock in the morning, I just, I lost the ability to sleep. Once my brain starts going, it's all over for me. And I didn't even pick up my phone this time.

I swear I did not. That sometimes is my downfall. I didn't even pick up my phone. I just started stressing out about the fact that I couldn't sleep. And so then because of that, I couldn't sleep.

That's it. That's the thing is I, it's five minutes and I haven't gone back to sleep. I start to get nervous.

No, not today. Getting in your own head like that is worse than like getting on the phone because then it's just internal and there's nothing. You can't put the phone down. It'll go away.

No, it's there. I even use drugs on Tuesday morning. Yes, I know how that sounds. I even took some drugs and I was so upset. So after an hour, 90 minutes, not happening, not sleeping, it's getting worse. By that time, of course, I have picked up my phone and looked at what was happening.

Still no Aaron Rodgers news. Anyway, it was about every 45 minutes after that until three o'clock in the afternoon or so when I got up to like penny out and then I decided that's it. I am not getting out of bed till 4 30. So I better sleep.

So I think the 90 minutes of sleep at the end of the afternoon was probably the best that I got. And so when when Jay called, he could hear it in my voice and I was like, wait a minute, what's wrong with you? Yeah, we were on the same wave wave there. Oh my gosh. So in other words, we did a face plant right into the hump.

Like both of us. It's feels like a hump day. It yeah, I don't know what I don't know what happened. I just know there was no nap for me either. I don't know if Jay, did you get a nap?

Very small. A short a small nap. What's a small nap? Exactly.

25 minutes, half hour. It's a little nap. I just want to warn you now, if you're looking for very entertaining, scintillating radio, mind stimulating radio, this may not be it. It's just not gonna happen. Oh, no. Furthermore, I have zero patience left for Aaron Rogers. Like none.

I just have none left for Aaron. Anyway, we got a lot to get to. Of course, my friends tell me I'm funnier on the radio when I'm tired. I'm not sure that's a compliment. But this is a show for them to be sure. You're supposed to be helping me. Five minutes in, and you're already being a jerk. You are just wrong, and you're fired.

So there's that. You're like, please, please fire me right now. Could you just fire me, please?

Oh, no. Do you play that because that's what I sound like or what? No, it's just I think of that scene where he's just so defeated and the only thing he can do is just laugh. And he sounds so obnoxious and yet it's the funniest scene. It is literally my favorite comedy scene of any movie anywhere.

That wasn't very convincing. People ask me, so you don't need to ask me later on ask Amy anything. People ask me what is your favorite comedy of all time? And Jay, what is it? The Money Pit, of course. The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. And I know it's old.

I don't care. I stopped watching comedies after that. I don't even like comedies today.

Well, a little bit of Will Ferrell. I loved Anchorman. It was so stupid, but it was funny. And so that's my favorite comedy of all time. And that laughing scene. I mean, I shouldn't tell you this, but there have been times when I have laughed so hard I've cried over that, but also peed my pants over it. Anyway, that was me, Jay.

That was a low blow. Seriously, go home. Necessary.

Oh my gosh, why? I know it's not exclusive to those of us who work on this show, all two of us, that we have sleep troubles. I know there are a lot of people who have sleep troubles when they keep these hours, whether it be second shift, a lot of you on the west coast work second shift or just stay up later. Those of you who work third shift, the graveyard shift is what it's called for a lot of people.

I get it. Sleep issues. They are a common problem in the United States of America and probably common around the world. But I know in the United States, there are statistics done about how many Americans have sleep issues. And some of it happens to do with your schedule, of course, being busy. But a lot of people just have plain old insomnia. In fact, we hear from people all the time who say I can't sleep and so I turn on your show in the middle of the night and we're glad to keep you company.

I just want you to know that you are not alone in terms of being unable to sleep because it was that kind of a day. So that's where we start. There's no place to go but up from here. Every time I say it can't it can't possibly get worse. It always does. So I know Jay is gonna be mad at me because I even spoke that into existence. Why did you even speak it?

Why did you even put it out there? So just be prepared there. Things could blow up on this edition of After Hours.

Right, Jay? No, we'll be fine. No steer the ship right now.

We will. Did you say the Did you say a bad word? No.

Are you sure? Because it sure sounded like we're gonna steer this other stuff right through. Are we already going off the diva?

We're steering the ish right through. If Aaron Rogers can hold the entire NFL and sports world hostage, then I feel like yes, in fact, there might be a negative word spoken here or there. Before we get to Aaron.

Before we get to Aaron, I think I would rather have sleep issues every day for the rest of my life. Oh, maybe? That's hard to say. Then have to talk about this anymore. I'm just I'm done. Oh my god. I'd rather watch Star Trek and never watch Star Wars again. Wow. No, I know that's tough. I couldn't give that up either.

Not for Aaron Rogers. But we're getting there. Yeah. OMG. I'm so tired of hearing about it. So tired of hearing about it and I don't even care anymore what the delay is.

I couldn't care less. But I will tell you two things. Number one, he is doing his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show, but it's not on a Tuesday. It's on a Wednesday.

It's coming at one o'clock Eastern time, which is 10 a.m. For those of you who are listening in the Pacific time zone right now. This is Aaron Rogers on Pat McAfee. Okay, that's what we know. Number two, Allen Lazard is headed to the Jets. Lazard as in Aaron's favorite receiver next to Randall Cobb, of course, but he and Cobb have been together for years. Although Cobb could be headed to the Jets too. So Allen Lazard is already agreed to terms with the Jets.

Now remember, here's one thing I would say about that deal. Nathaniel Hackett is the former offensive coordinator in Green Bay, which means he didn't just work with Aaron Rogers. He also worked with Allen Lazard. What offensive system do you think they're going to run in New York? More than likely, if it's not the exact same thing they ran in Green Bay, well it's going to be pretty damn close. It's going to be at least a facsimile of what they were running in Green Bay. There are going to be elements of what they were running in Green Bay.

So that makes sense to me. It doesn't surprise me that there would be former Packers from the offense who would want to end up in New York. I don't know if that is separate from this reported list that Aaron has given to the New York Jets so that it is a more attractive landing spot for him in a trade. So again, this is the report from multiple sources that yes, Allen Lazard has agreed to a deal, but that the list, the wish list if you will, we'll call it a Christmas list, Christmas in July, we'll call it a Christmas list for Aaron Rogers, or maybe just maybe it's a list of demands. I don't know, but this list that Aaron Rogers has given to the New York Jets includes Lazard.

I don't know which came first, the chicken or the egg. I don't know which came first, the Christmas list or the contract for Allen Lazard, but the list includes Lazard and Randall Cobb, who might be 87 years old. Okay, he's not that old, but he is one of Aaron's best friends, tight end Mercedes Lewis, who is good for a couple catches a year. He's not been the focal point of an offense for a long time, not even in Green Bay, though he is a serviceable blocker. And yeah, obviously if you leave him wide open, he's going to catch passes and he maybe will have a couple of touchdowns. But to me, other than Allen Lazard, Cobb and Lewis are just guys that make him comfortable in the locker room, as if he's going in with his entourage to the Jets locker room.

And just for kicks and giggles, Odell Beckham Jr. is on the list as well. Now, you may remember that Allen, sorry, Aaron, maybe Allen too, they tried to recruit Odell Beckham Jr. to Green Bay. It didn't happen, obviously, and as it turns out, probably OBJ wasn't ready to get back on the field and that whole flap about not working out for Dallas, I think hurt his prospects because if he wasn't willing to work out for Dallas, there were some nerves that he wasn't ready to be back on the field. So ultimately, after all of the hullabaloo, it's a little bit like watching an entire season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, and it's all building toward the proposal, and then there's no ring and there's no proposal, and the couple's already broken up. Like it was just, it was a much ado about nothing. It was made for TV.

It was a made for TV movie with Odell Beckham Jr. last year. He ends up signing nowhere. But Aaron and he are friends and they did communicate and Rogers was recruiting him. So there's the element or the undertone of Rogers can't just go into a locker room and work with the people that are there. He can't just go into a locker room and be the leader of a new group of men because he's the quarterback. He can't just go into a locker room and be fully invested in what the Jets bring to the table.

He's got to go in with his BFFs. That in and of itself to me is just odd. What you can't go in there and stand on your own two feet. You need security.

You need bodyguards. You need comfortability and familiarity. I thought you were one of the best damn quarterbacks ever to play this game and somehow you can't walk into a new locker room and be the man. It's just weird. I don't know how the current Jets receivers feel about it. I suppose they're excited to have a quarterback of his caliber but also there have to be some eyebrow raising there because if you bring and now again Allen Lazard has a pre-existing relationship with Hackett as well but you bring in these other guys who are at the very most role players. I don't know.

It just it it seems fishy and then when I started thinking about it it reminded me of are you ready the Nets and Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. What do we know about that situation? Now four years later we have the big picture. We can see the front end of the train. We can see the caboose. We can see everything in the middle.

The entire train has already rolled down the tracks. We can see it all. There's no mystery. The Nets gave Kevin Durant and Kyrie everything they wanted.

Everything. Not only did they sign those two as a tandem because they wanted to play together to very large contracts that ultimately got them nothing in the first year. Kyrie didn't even make it through the season and Kevin Durant was never going to play coming off the torn Achilles. So they give them boatloads of money to sit for a year plus. They bring in various other athletes BFFs that will give them a comfort in Brooklyn. They also hire a head coach that those two approve and ultimately didn't want anymore. They bring in James Harden. They trade away other really special pieces that I think were more character guys in that locker room.

They destroyed their roster and ultimately have one playoff series win to show for it before four different trade requests. Actually five if you include Harden. Harden wants out. Kyrie wants out. Then he options into his deal. Then KD wants out. Okay then they change his mind.

Then Kyrie doesn't get the deal he wants so he asks out again as does Kevin Durant. What 73 games they played together? 73 games over five seasons? Four or five seasons? Four seasons. It wasn't worth it.

It wasn't worth the drama. They end up in a place that they were before those two showed up. Same team. Some of the same players they got back for heaven's sakes.

And guess what? The same coach. They went from Jacques Vaughn to Steve Nash back to Jacques Vaughn.

With no KD or Kyrie or James Harden to be found. Just a lot of wasted money. A lot of drama. A lot of angst.

And you want to know what else? A lot of regret. The Nets would have been better off never having dabbled in that pool. Never having given those guys everything they wanted. It created more of a mess than it did them any good except maybe a few extra tickets sold. They're in a worse place now than they were before they allowed KD and Kyrie to make demands and change the course of their franchise. I'm not saying that's exactly what's happening with the Jets because we can't see where this goes. Obviously, if Aaron Rodgers goes to the Jets and they win a Super Bowl, it is all worth it.

Every single piece. Every single moment they had to wait. All the players they had to sign.

All the dollars they had to spend. If the Jets end their Super Bowl drought because Aaron Rodgers showed up, it's all worth it. And we don't know if that's going to be the case. But honestly, it's starting to feel a little bit like you're bending over backward for a 40-year-old quarterback who is no longer in his prime or may no longer be in his prime. Last season wasn't great for Aaron and he had these receivers in Green Bay. I'm starting to get a little nervous for the Jets.

Here's another question and Jay and I kind of debated this. If Aaron does go to the Jets with all these other pieces that he wants, are they the best team in the AFC East? Forget the AFC.

They're not. The Chiefs are the best team in the AFC. But if he goes to the Jets, does that automatically make them the best team in the AFC East?

Can I be frank with you? I think the Bills are still better. I know the Bills haven't capitalized on their opportunities. I still say the Bills are a better team. Until I see the Jets do it. Until I see this coaching staff do it. And that's a major part of it. Robert Salah I'm not as good a coach as Sean McDermott. At least not at this point. I like who he is.

I think he's a real cool character. I enjoy watching him coach. But that coaching staff at Buffalo has been, well at least their head coach in the the core, has been together now.

And they've got the coaching advantage as well. So even with Aaron Rodgers, I don't think they're the best team in the AFC East. And are they top five in the AFC if Rodgers goes to the Jets? Just on paper.

This is on paper. Chiefs, Bengals, Bills. It's hard for you to put the Chargers in there. I think the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be a force in 2023. I think the Steelers are getting better.

I don't know. The Dolphins in the AFC East, they're still making moves. If Tua can stay healthy.

Are Mike White to the scene? Just kidding. You guys tell me. If Aaron Rodgers gets what he wants, he goes to the Jets, which is where it appears to be headed.

Are they the best team in the AFC East? Just a rhetorical question. And of course we're talking about on paper because we don't yet know what it's going to look like when they get out there. But this idea of, hey, give me this, this, this, this, and this. And I'm not saying it's an if then. If you do these things, then I'll come to the Jets because maybe it's not. But there is something to be said about letting the athlete make all the business decisions. And isn't that what Aaron was ticked about two, three years ago with Green Bay, that he felt like they didn't take his input into account?

Well, it's like, he's going to show the world. Here's what I want. Green Bay wouldn't give it to me. Now I got it. People are coming to you to play with me.

Oh, maybe I haven't pegged all wrong. Maybe I do, but this was called, and I quote, a wishlist. I'm going to be sleeping right through his interview with Pat McAfee. I just want you to know, hopefully I don't speak that into existence out cold, out cold as in dead to the world. All right. What do you think? Find me on Twitter, A Law Radio, also on our Facebook page after hours with Amy Lawrence. While you're there, please send us your questions for Ask Amy Anything, because that comes up a little bit later on. We still have our poll running about Jimmy Garoppolo in Las Vegas.

Is he an upgrade over Derek Carr? We are kind of overwhelmed by the response to this question. And so you can check out that poll. And if you haven't yet joined us, and I know there's many of you that haven't yet joined us in the after hours bracket challenge, it is pinned to the top of both our Twitter page, our show Twitter after hours, CBS, as well as our Facebook page.

So it's easy to find easy peasy lemon squeezy. I know I'm weird and I'm tired. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. You are listening to the After Hours podcast. Harris trying to throw it to the post.

It's stolen. Jackson ahead to Tennyson. Challenge by Larson. He scoops it in with a foul. Timo stays in their zone. Jackson feeds Tennyson. Left wing three.

Give it to him. At long last, Trey Tennyson with the triple is first of the night. 56-47. Offensive board for the Islanders. Out to Tennyson. Yes, sir. His name is Trey Tennyson after all.

Like five left. Rashila bends his knees. Off the front of the rim. No, Branson from one foul line to the other basket. Well, short and the game is over. A landmark victory for the Islanders. Texas A&M Corpus Christi is a winner in the NCAA tournament for the first time. We made a few more free throws. We got a couple more rebounds and obviously we were able to come out on the victorious side. So I couldn't be more excited for these guys and I couldn't be more excited for our basketball program.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. The first official game of the 2023 NCAA tournament and Texas A&M Corpus Christi with a landmark win. How about that? Always neat when it's the first one and they end up with a very, I would say a very impressive win for this reason because the game was hanging in the balance late and as their coach Steve Lutz points out, they're able to make a few more free throws. In fact, they had a few more free throws. They were 27 of 35 from the free throw line whereas the Red Hawks from Southeast Missouri State were 9 of 20.

I mean that's your difference right there. It's a four-point game but I was impressed with their poise especially down the stretch when they were on the free throw line but yeah that's the huge, that's the difference right there. The kids from Southeast Missouri State are going to have nightmares about the number of free throws that they missed because you make say 10 of those, 10 more of those that you missed and it's a completely different ball game. But the Islanders also out rebounded their opponent and in addition they were able to score a bunch of points off turnovers too and so I like the hustle stats and very often in the NCAA tournament to me that's what will determine the difference. We're not talking about professional basketball players.

We're talking about guys who are putting hard soul, blood, sweat, and tears and yeah there are a few that you'll see in pretty much every site who are headed for the NBA or who are at least prospects to play professional basketball but for the most part these are not elite basketball players, the best in the world. No, it's about putting their heart into it. It's about boxing out. It's about getting rebounds, taking care of the basketball, making your free throws. So good for them, good for the Islanders.

That's pretty exciting. Coming up next they get, oh, they get the overall number one seed and the fans are there for it. We want Bama. We want Bama.

Be careful what you wish for. That is from Larissa Liske's Twitter and so yes in fact they do get Bama, the overall number one seed and we all know it. At this point it's ingrained in your March Madness lore, your March Madness brain. As you fill out brackets you know only one time has the 16 ever upset a one. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio.

Marco Belletti's here in studio. I was willing to make some concessions like both Jay and I had horrible sleeping days. I know you were here actually late on Tuesday morning so I don't know if you got any sleep on Tuesday either, right? So maybe all three of us had rough sleeping days.

I was almost willing to say that I would have a lifetime of terrible sleeping days if we could just get this Aaron Rogers thing done and over with and then I stopped short because I thought he's not really worth that. But the question though is this because and I'm being sincere. I'm not being snarky. You know me, I'm good at snark.

Sarcasm is my love language so I'm good at that but this is for real. If Aaron Rogers and his BFFs go to the Jets, are they the best team in the AFC East? On paper no. I mean there's a lot to happen now until you know September when we get to week one.

Of course. Right now no but I do think that the second he gets there they're now in the discussion to be able to win the division no doubt. Well yes but at this point I still say, I was saying this a couple of minutes ago, the Bills have a much better coaching staff and I mean they lost Brian Daybal of course but they have a better coaching staff.

They've got the culture already established. Saleh is reportedly on the hot seat going into this upcoming season. No doubt. Yeah and so I still say the Bills are the best team in that division by far. I think Josh Allen is right now playing better football than at least last season was playing better football than Aaron Rogers. Yeah no argument there and the Bills are right now again on paper a little bit better than the Jets. Do I think it's a large disparity? Do I think Aaron Rogers helps close the gap?

Yeah I do. I think that they're of course I think I would say that it's the Bills would still be the odds on favor to win the division. I think the Jets would leapfrog the Dolphins in this regard as soon as Aaron Rogers walks in the door and I think it would be a conversation of who's the best team and we would obviously find out on the field.

They're all also too I mean who knows. We just saw the Eagles and how great they were but now we're seeing free agency start to hit them a little bit. I mean you know every team year to year it's a year to year league in the NFL so we don't know who the Jets have to then cut to try to be able to get some of these guys under the cap too so let's find out as it goes but I would say right now the Bills would still be a slight slight edge over the Jets. It reminds me of the Nets. This is what the Nets did. They changed everything to get KD and Kyrie and keep them happy. Just smacks a little bit of bending over backward and that doesn't always work.

It doesn't. Now look this is a lot and it is Aaron Rogers and the drama comes with it and I'm not necessarily equating it but let's keep in mind too when Tom Brady went to the Bucks he brought a lot of his fellow friends there too. It just that it worked. It worked.

The second he got there it worked. Now the only thing that's a little different between Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady and we'll find this out once this is done does Rogers go all in like Brady did? Is he going to be there for the offseason stuff? Is he going to be there to be able to make sure that everything goes on schedule? Is he going to be there to make sure that everybody's on the same page or is Rogers going to walk in not go through the offseason workouts not learn all the new things and all the new route running with all his new receivers and and say look I know this offense because I ran it in green bag with Nathaniel Hackett. I know what I like. You guys figure it out.

When I come in we'll work on chemistry then. That's the difference that I need to see between Rogers and Brady. Brady was working in high schools to get to know his receivers. Getting in trouble.

He's breaking COVID protocols. To see if he can get on the same page so that when they hit the ground they hit the ground running. I don't know if Aaron Rogers is going to be all in that way.

Prove me wrong but that's the difference that I want to see. It's not that getting the guys. Everybody wants to get the guys. Gronk came in. You know Antonio Brown and Tom Brady went and found his guys and pulled him in.

He made it work. Does Rogers put in the extra work to make sure that on Sundays it's seamless? Well the one thing I will say about the Bucks situation the Jets is they both have good defenses because the Bucks defense was just as much responsible for Tom Brady as them winning that title in 2020. So we shall see but yeah I still say at this point the bills are better and I like the fact that there's more stability around the bills.

That they've had some stability. They'll get Von Miller back too which is huge so we'll see how this goes moving forward but yes Aaron Rogers. I'm sleeping right through it but you know what you guys can let me know. Just send me some tweets and let me know what he says come tomorrow afternoon. And I'll say this and not again not being snarky. Don't be surprised if you don't get an answer. Of course not. I'm not going to be surprised. That's the thing that we all seem to everybody's kind of under the assumption and it makes sense.

Not everybody. He's going on he's going on with his buddy. He's going to give his buddy the scoop and him and McAfee and AJ Hawk are going to laugh it up and he's going to tell you everything that you want to hear. Don't be surprised if they talk for 35 minutes and all you get is well we're getting close. We'll see what we're going to do. The last time it was an hour.

It was almost an hour. Don't be surprised if Rogers really dances around it. Gives you a lot of wry smiles that lets you know that he's going to do it without actually saying it so that it drags out a few more days. It's not even a secret anymore. I mean it may drag out because of the money the compensation like them working this big bonus that he has coming up. It's not a secret.

If your team is actually or the team you're going to go to is it's actually got a wish list of people that you want. Well it's not a secret anymore. It's not but he could also I mean he could he could walk out of it.

No. It's not like he he's not binding to anything. I mean just because he wants his guys and his guys go there he could still turn around and walk away.

I don't believe any of that. He's gonna play for the Jets like he's stunned and it's simply because he has zero options. Here are his options. He can't go back to Green Bay right now and I don't mean this is look we know how talented he is. I'm not knocking Aaron Rogers. I actually think he's one of the out of all the quarterbacks I've seen in my lifetime he's one of the most fun that I've ever watched. I mean there's a time when he's been the best quarterback in the NFL.

No doubt. He's top three that I saw athletically you know in my lifetime. The John Elway, Aaron Rogers, Patrick Holmes. Athletically those are the top three guys I've ever watched but I do think that for Aaron Rogers this stuff look at you can't go back to Green Bay right because they're moving on.

So no no back no going back is Jordan Love. They need to figure that out. No one else is going to trade for you because they have no other options. Everywhere else is already finished off.

There's no spots. He's not going to retire. No. Here's the simple thing for the retirement and I really truly believe this.

Marco is on a rant. Do you can you possibly see Aaron Rogers and Tom Brady walking into the Hall of Fame together? No. There is no way that Aaron Rogers will be upstaged at the Hall of Fame. He would rather sit a year holding the clipboard to Jordan Love so that he has his day because when we say Hall of Fame class of whatever year Aaron Rogers will not be the side note.

He will be the marquee and if he retires the same year as Tom Brady he will be the side note. He will never have that. Never ever ever. Oh my gosh. All right. Marco's giving us his opinion which I appreciate.

You can hear it in his voice. I just want it to be over with. Just I don't care.

I don't care anymore. I would like to not be talking about it. We talk about something else.

In fact I have a list of other things we're going to talk about. Eek. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. Here's Ingles lobbing the pass inside. It's Lopez gliding through the defense and laying it in up close. A 10-point lead for the Bucks. Ingles being swarmed gets it to Lopez.

He feeds the right wing. Catch and shoot three. J Crowder delivers the dagger against his old team with 1.23 to play here in the fourth. Paul's got it into the front court. He'll pass it away.

Wayne Wright's got it. He'll hold on and there's the final horn and the Bucks are going to come away with another hard-earned win tonight. They pick up win number 50 tonight. Clench a spot in the playoffs. The first team of the league to do that with a 1.16 to 1.04 win.

Breaking a four-game losing streak here from the desert in Phoenix. We just mentioned it in the coach's locker room to appreciate this. Making the playoffs in this league is hard.

You should never take anything for granted. We have a special team and our focus and um our effort and our you know kind of desire to just keep getting better. Sometimes just I forget about you know celebrating and I need to improve.

I need I need to get better. Getting you to the good half of your week. It's the Hump Show on After Hours. Yes it is. Yes.

Yes it is. If you haven't yet joined us in the After Hours bracket challenge we've got instructions for how you can do that coming up at the top of the hour. Also we're a couple hours away from asking me anything so even now look for the bright orange box with the thought bubble. Give us your best and most creative thoughts. Also happy Pi Day to those of you who celebrate. I actually dabbled and put up a gif on Twitter.

I never do this. I'm going to retweet it because I'm so proud of this. Uh I showed it to producer Jay and he told me it made his day. That and also I found a pie that was a pizza pie and so he was pretty happy over the fact that it was a pizza pie. And so I'm going to retweet it just because it's so cute.

It's so bubbly and bouncy and happy and I need all of that in my life right now. So happy Pi Day to those of you who celebrate. And for those of you who are Milwaukee Bucks fans they are the first team in the NBA to get to 50 wins. So best record in the league and with a fourth quarter rally they topple the Suns in Phoenix. Apparently Monte Williams was not happy.

We're going to try to get some of that audio moving forward because he was pretty peeved. Giannis back-to-back strong games coming off the injury. 36 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists. Brook Lopez still playing so haven't yet heard from the NBA but 21 points 10 rebounds for him. And of course it's always a cool deal when you're the first team in the league to clinch a playoff spot.

That's cool man. Very exciting. We're obviously proud of the season we had. You know we just want to keep it going at this point.

On Valley Sports Wisconsin it's after hours here on CBS Sports Radio. We've got more including Damian Lillard telling you why he doesn't like today's NBA. And Denver drops its fourth game in a row. This is the top team in the west.

You're going the wrong way. We've also got some other funny stuff. We always try to mix it up on the hump show and keep you entertained. So make sure you stick around.

We've got plenty to come and know it's not just about Aaron Rodgers. Eric is listening in Detroit. Eric welcome to After Hours. Hey Amy. Big fan of your show. Big fan of yours.

Thank you. I'm just curious with Aaron Rodgers's debacle. The vacuum that's going to be left within the division. I was hoping that the Lions would pursue Jalen Ramsey or Gilmore.

They did not do that. They wanted them off of cornerback with that first pick. However this opens things up for a potential Will Anderson or Jalen Carter. And the Montgomery signing I think was huge.

I was in favor of Ekler. However they're getting Montgomery cheaper and not giving up draft picks. Lift is often injured as we know and I think they move on from Jamal Williams with this. I was just wondering your thoughts about the Detroit Lions. Yeah I'm really high on the Lions.

I was this past season. I love what they're building and I think they got a huge confidence boost by the way they finished the season. Even though they did not make the playoffs going into Green Bay sweeping the series. The season series with the Packers knocking Green Bay out of the playoffs and doing that at Lambeau Field.

All of that is huge. Now I think we know that the Minnesota Vikings while they're not tanking. I don't really believe in tanking but they look like they're in reload mode if not full out rebuild mode.

So they're kind of starting fresh at least with some new pieces. I do like what the Bears have done to this point in the off season though they had much farther to climb and the Packers clearly are going to be in a transitional state by going to Jordan Love. Well I think the Bears got instantly better. They did but I would say right now the Lions are at least a team to beat in the NFC North which is not something we have been able to say for a long time.

Thank you. Good to talk to you. Yeah it's kind of fun to think about the Lions as a contender right. We know half the playoff field turns over every year in the NFL. That is the average and speaking of the NFL still to come there are a lot of free agent moves that are already agreed to if not officially set in stone and they don't all resolve or revolve or resolve. They don't all get resolved around the New York Jets or with Aaron Rodgers. Now the rest of the league is also moving and shaking and taking care of its business. So let's see top of the hour we'll look at what I think was the most significant move from Tuesday and we'll pick apart what we've seen in this tampering period.
