Jesus' harshest criticism was not targeted at adulterers, drunkards, or idolaters, but at the religious establishment of his day, the Pharisees. He didn't criticize the righteous, but sinners to repentance, and his message of grace doesn't fit into the old message of laws and regulations. We should evaluate all advice by the Word of God, tolerate differences in other Christians, and associate with unbelievers to influence them to become Christians.
